1. Introduction to the Freelancer Beginner Course on Upwork and Freelancer: Hello, my name is Megan and I am a successful freelancer on Freelancer.com, upwork and fiber. As you can see here, I have earned more than $42 thousand only on Freelancer.com and more than $10 thousand from our book and more than thousand dollars from fiber. So let me quickly go through my screen and show the numbers. I live so you guys can understand. So this is Freelancer.com and this is my profile. So let us go through the total earnings so you can find the total earnings of $42 thousand. And let me go to my Upwork profile. As you can see here, I have a 100% job success score on Upwork, and I am a top rated freelancer as well. So here I have one more that $10 thousand from just 11 jobs. And let me open fiber. So these are the numbers on fiber. So if you want to learn freelancing and earn these kind of numbers, do we need to focus on these kind of projects as a complete beginners? So you need to focus on customer support, data entry, virtualized, and an Excel. So let me quickly go to Upwork and show how much jobs are available for these kind of jobs, these kind of projects. So let me go to Upwork and search. So let me refresh this search. So as you can see here, you can find more than 13 thousand jobs for just only for data entry. So these jobs are posted like 24 into seven every single day. So you can find this is posted forming say go five minutes to go. So animates it goes on me. So likewise, you can find every, every projects, every single day. So let me search like customer support. For the customer support you can find more than 3,500 jobs. So this poster is 70 minutes ago, for 40 minutes ago. Likewise, you can find jobs posted 367 days. So as you can see here, there is a lot of opportunities exist for a beginner to start freelancing journey. In this course, I'll be going, I'll be explaining how does this freelancing platforms works, the upward and the Freelancer.com and how you can avoid scams in these freelancing platforms, and also how you can get paid to these financing pattern. So for example, you can get paid using your bank account, PayPal, Pioneer and skill. And I will explain how you should optimize the profile or optimized your freelancing profile so you can stand out from your fellow competitors. And it helps you to get more predicts on these freelancing platforms. And also I'll be explaining how to beat on the projects wisely. For example, in this course, I'll be bidding on five projects. So those will be live and three projects will be from Freelancer.com, and two will be from upwork.com. So this is just a snapshot from the coast. So one of the project I was, I was bidding on Freelancer.com. So it's titled as virtualized and data entry three to four hours. And my proposal was ranked number one out of 47 proposals. So if your proposal is ranked number one out of all of the proposal, your proposal will be seen first by the client. So it will help you to get high chance of jobs or higher. It will help you to get the jobs very quickly and easily. So I'll be also including the actual proposals I used in these kinds of jobs. And also you will be getting a draft proposal which you can use to beat on future projects on the freelancing platforms. And also, I'll be going through the client communications and how you should close the deals. So this again from the coast. So this is just one example. So I got this job. I want this project on Freelancer.com. So these about edit an Excel spreadsheet. In this example, I'll be going through all the communications with the client. I'll be showing all the communication with the client, how how how I communicate with the client to close the deal and get the project for myself and how I complete this with five-star reviews as well. I'll be also explaining how you how you should get the five-star reviews on the freelancing profile, and also how you should retain your failures and clients. So when it comes to freelancing or getting five-star reviews help you to get more and more clients. And also, if you get a long-term clients, it helps you to earn consistent amount of money every single month. For our next sample, a client on Freelancer.com pay me $24 thousand and ended the clients on Upwork. I'm still working with him. So he paid me up to now, it's more than $9 thousand. I'll be explaining how you can get these kinds of claims for you as well. So you don't need to go and beat on the projects every single day. That is just an introduction about the course. 2. What's Freelancing & How does it work?: Indecision. I'm going to explain what is freelancing and how does this work on Freelancer.com and our book? So let's get started. So let us understand who is a freelancer. A freelancer is a self-employed person who offers services and often working on several jobs for multiple clients at one time. So these services can be data entry, virtual assistant, Excel, or web development, mobile app development, writings of this translation services. So there are lots of kinds of services x's there. And you can work according your expertise. And usually freelancers earned money on a personal basis. So that means you will get fixed amount for the task or a project you're working on, or you can charge hourly rates for your work. So let me quickly go to Upwork and show an example so you guys can better understand. So this is Upwork and this is a freelancer profile. So as you can see here, this freelancer is working with two clients at the same time, both our hourly projects and we can check the computer jobs as well. So for an example, this is an example for a fixed project, where are these freelancer has been paid more than $1000. So that is just an example. And the next step is to register your icons. So to register UI cones on philanthropy Upwork, you have to simply go to Freelancer.com. So it is to register your account on freelancer. So you have to go to Freelancer.com and click the Sign Up button. So what you have to do is do you have to give the e-mail and the password? And after that, you can verify your e-mail with a freelancer.com and you can skip all the steps there. You don't need to do these steps is structured by them. You can simply skip all the steps and you can open your project dashboard, which looks something like this. So you can have a blank profile and you can skip and have come to the dashboard, something like this. And to register your account on Upwork, you have to come to upwork.com and click Sign Up button. So when you registered you I count on Upwork. They will ask details like the employment history, address, phone number, this kills you are planning to apply the phone number, but if you can as well. So we now put you will have to go on a manual verification by their staff. So if you face any difficulties in registering your icons with Upwork or fill answer, just shoot me a message via chat and I'll be able to help you guys. So let's go to how does this work. So let me explain. So actually these freelancing platforms such as Upwork and Freelancer.com, the main goal is to connect the freelancers with deadlines. So let's see how does this work. So it actually starts with a project or a task which is offered by the clients and the billions can apply on the task. And after that, the client can interview the freelancers who have applied on the particular task or project. So usually they interfere using the chat. So these chat option is available in the freelancing platforms such as Facebook and Freelancer.com. So if the project is, has a budget of 0 or $1000, sometimes they will ask you to come to a Zoom call and discuss the recommends. And after that, they can simply hire a freelancer. So when they hire a freelancer, they have to create a milestone. So what does that mean is that suppose the particular task or project, the freelancer and a client came to an agreement of a $100. So when they hire you, they have to create a 100 or a milestone payments. So that means they have to create a particular a $100 payment in the freelancing platforms and create it as a deposit so that particular money will be stored in the particular freelancing platform. And once you complete the freelancing job, they can release the particular deposit they have made and so that the particular amount will be get added into your account. And after that, both parties, the freelancer and the client can review the experience as well. So let me quickly show an example in Freelancer.com, we are we are practical experience you can gain here. So this is a data and reproject posted by the client a few years ago. So as you can see here, in this project decline has mentioned the project budget itself in the project details. So we don't need to discuss much about the project budget with the client so the freelancers can apply on the project, on this project. So as you can see here, there are total 61 fill and says he has a plate on this particular data entry project, but the client has chosen me to do this job. And since the budget is the already mentioned in the particular project description IB for the $150. And when the client and the client has allowed me to predict as well. As you can see here, the milestone the client has created to tie we are to the milestone of valued a $100 in two parts. One is a $100 and another one is $50. And as soon as I completed the job, the client has released a particular milestone as well. So it gets added to my account. And also you can find the reviews as well. So that is how it works and, uh, let me talk about the bad forms fees. So in Freelancer.com, the affiliates a tile charges do a ten percentage of the fees. For example, for the fixed predicts the top 10 percent of the winning bid or minimum, buy USD. So what does that mean is if the, if the project is less than $50, so so if it is afforded or a project, then you will be 10 percent value will be only formulas, but you will still get to fight for USD for by the film finance.com for the fixed projects. So one thing you have to be careful is that it is 10 percent of the winning bidder. So that means, and so in this project, let me explain here. So in this project I bid for a $150 and once the client award me the project and once I accept the project, so if I accept the project, my bit is considered as the winning bid. So as soon as they accept the projects, I will be charged $15. So you have to be little bit careful before accepting the predicted. You have to make sure the particular milestone is created here so you are not scammed by the client. So that is how it works on freelancer.com for the fixed predicts. So if it is an hourly project, you'll be charged 10 percent of the payment, but the particular 10% will be charged only when the claim based to you. So there is some kind of stake it would be for you, but for the early predicts what you can do it. So this is an example of an hourly project. So it is 8 USD per hour. For our early projects, what you can do is you can download the freelancing apps available in the App Store and Google Play as well. Actually, they also have a desktop app as well. So you can use that app to track the time. So once you track the time for a particular week and the milestones will be automatically created for the next week. And there will be released on every Awareness Day automatically as well. So there is no need to. So it's a kind of automation. You don't need to worry about the payments. It will be released automatically as well. So that is the payment method on the platform fees on for years, it'll calm. So let me quickly explain the Upwork. So in upward, it's kind of different. So you will be charged 20 percentage for the first $400 you bill for the client. Suppose. And again, if the client, the client pays you more than $500, it will it will act across all contracts, so you'll be charged only ten percentage. And if it is more than ten dos and don'ts, you will be charged only 5% each install. For an example, if a client, you're working with a client for the first time and at a particular project value, $600. So you'll be charged 20% of the find donors and reminding a $100 you'll be charged ten percentage. So that is the platforms.. And in the next session I'll be explaining how you should set up the profiles on our book and Freelancer.com. So let's meet over there. Thank you. 3. Freelancer, Upwork Profile Set up and Optimization: So in this video, I'm going to explain how you can set up your freelancer profile and optimize it in such a way so you can get a lot of freelancing projects. So before that, first, understand what are the components of a freelancing profile. So they are a profile picture, professional headline or title, overview or summary. The skill set, the hourly rate, portfolio, and the education, employment history, publications or certifications. Let us go to Upwork and Freelancer.com and identify these kinds of components in a particular freelancer profile. So first, let me go to Upwork. So this actually a freelancer profile. So this is a profile picture is her name and this data entry administration as stem. So this is called as the title or professional headline, and this is called as the summary overview. And you can find the education history here. And also if they have the skill set, you can find all here and the employment history here. So in fact, you can add the English fluency as well, and also the available hours as well. So you can find the rate as well. So the his her hourly rate is $10 per hour. So let me go to Freelancer.com and show it. So this is a freelancer.com freelancers profile. So these are perfect, but this is the headline and summary overview. And you can find the rates here. And also you can find a portfolio items here. And you can find the experience, employment history, education, publication certificates and those kind of things. So that is just an overview. So now you won't do, set up a good profile on freelancer. Come up OK. So what you'll do is you have to simply utilize the existing freelancers profile. And you can take those profiles as a learning and use those profiles to set up your own profile. So if you're a beginner with no skill, so you will mainly be don't projects like data entry or customer support, those kind of projects. So this is Upwork, so you can simply search talent. So let me search like customer support. So it will give me a lot of freelancers profile. So what you can do is in the left or you can do a quick filter. So you can filter by earned mode. And let me, if I choose more than $10 thousand, those other freelancers have high earning, high earning histories, so you can, So there's a high chance that they will have a good profile. So you can check these kind of freelancers profile. So you will get a lot of results. So you can actually, you can open like 1015 and check each of the freelancers profile and learn from them. So for example, this particular briefly answer has set up the title as like this. And also the summary or overview is very low and very small or very short. So for this freelancer, data look like this and the summary log-log ideas. And you can find these skills, those kind of stuff as well. The portfolio, the skill set, those as well. So let me open this freelancer. So it is a different kind of summary. And you can find this kills the title as well. So what you have to do is you have to find a lot of freelancers like this. And what you can do is basically, you can create an Excel sheet. So you can have an Excel sheet. And if you want to optimize a good title. So you can copy these kind of titles from these freelancers and paste it over this Excel sheet. So this is the first title, and let me choose another one. So this is just customer support manager. Let me choose the other one. So likewise, you can get a list of like 2025 freelancer profiles title. And you can get a juicer best title according to your needs. So you can actually analyze those title and get the most information from those titles and set up a very good title for yourself based on your skill sheet. So likewise, you can do there. Same thing for the summary section. So you can simply get the ideas from the other freelancers, some restriction and create your own. So likewise it, so this is just an example for the customer support. So you can search for graphic design as well. So let me say it's like graphic design. Graphic designer. So if you are planning to work as a graphic designer, you can find the graphic designers profile more than $10 thousand ending and get an idea. And you can choose, set up your profile based on their learnings. Based on the learnings from their current graphic designer provides. So that is a very simple trick you can do, just utilizing the black form and analyze the freelancers profile and setup your own freelancer profile without any much effort. So you can do this same thing in Freelancer.com as well. So you can find the freelancers from here, the freelancers, and you can choose the Skillshare according to you. So if you want to find the logo design of freelancers and it will get a lot of freelancers. And you can open their freelancers profile and learn from those kinds of profiles and you can set up your own. So that is one simple advice. So let's see some kind of general best practices for the freelancer profile components. So the first thing is the profile picture. So if you want to set up a good profile picture, you have to make sure it is. It is it is, it should be looking good lighting and also the phase. The phase should be looking at the camera. And also you have to make sure it is in a good photo cropping. So as you can see here, this is an example of a bad photographing and and also the face is hard to see. But if you see this picture, it's very clear and focus. And this is a bad example because it is too much of body and also it shows the collected workspace. So this is an example of good examples. So it is a simple background and it is framed into his face. So these are the bad examples or ADEA is too casual and the I covered by sunglasses. So instead, this is a good example because it is a professional at there and also it is semi and looking into camera. So let's go to the title section. So the professional headline or tidal. So when a client finds your profile, insert, your title is the first thing. They will see that as you can see here, if I search like data entry, they will find the title and make sure if you are a good fit for their Dusko particular project. So you'd have to make sure winter, when you set up the professional headline or title, you have to think about the clients you want to attract and you need to be specific. And also you have to make that good enough law than perfect. So you just need to set up a good profile, a good title, and just move forward. We then next steps. So the next thing is the summary overview section. So in the summary or restriction, you have to include the relevant details about your services and skills. And also you need to use the list to showcase the skills. So let me check if any of the freelancers using the list, yeah. For example, this particular graphic designer using a kind of the services, he has, used a list kind of things. So you need to have these kind of thing in your summary or summary overview section. So and also you need to tell, tell the clients what makes you different. So you need to have some kind of unique selling point. So in terms of response rate or any other value added services, so that you can easily win more freelance jobs. And also you need to update your profile regularly. So suppose if you are a data entry freelancer and worked on a new CRM, CRM is just a customer relation management software. If you're familiar with a different kind of CRM when working with a new client. So you can add those kind of new tools and apps you are familiar with in your profile. So you can win more and more those kind of jobs. And also you have to make sure your summary section or the overview section. This particular section is grammatically correct and you are grammatically correct and you are not doing any spelling mistakes. So basically you can use a tool called grammarly.com. So I can show it actually. So if you go to grammarly.com slash grammar check, you'll find this kind of Windows So you can check the particular freelancers summary section and see what it says. So if they have any grammatical errors, it will find it. So let us check it. I think he doesn't have any other issues are it has lot of issues. So it has grammar issues, spelling errors, vanquished punctuation as well. So it has a lot of errors. So what you can do is after you draft your particular summary section or the section, you can put, go to grammarly.com and check your spelling and grammar issues as well. The final section is around the portfolio items and the experience and education qualifications and also the publications. So the main thing is the portfolio. So a portfolio is especially guarantee to draw the potential clients attention. So it is your chance to show, not just to tell the quality of your work and the value of your expertise. So these portfolios are very, very important for designers like graphic designers. So then by, by, by the Ford folios only you can showcase your quality of the work. So for the gravity, for the data entropy lenses or customer support fill and says It is not much needed. If you have some kind of portfolios, you can add edit. So it is very highly recommended by me. And you can list your certifications and that you can add relevant details about your employment history that can help the clients to understand your background and also understand your background board on work or Freelancer.com. So basically by doing this kind of employment history, sometimes the clients can analyze your experience easily and they might hire you if, if you are a good fit. And also you have to include your educational background and other experiences as well. So now you understand how you should set up a good profile by going through the other freelancers profile in your same niche. And you understand the important components of the field and SipProfile. Homer, even you may find inspiration wearing other freelancers profile, but at the end of the day, you have to remember your profile should be original and unique so that you can simply stand out from the crowd and you can win more freelancing jobs. Thank you. 4. How to avoid Scams? and Things to know before applying on Projects: Hello guys, and welcome to this session. So in this section, we will learn about what are the things you need to know before applying on the freelancing projects. So let's start with a freelancer. So the first step after you registered and then set up your profile, as I suggest during the previous lessons, what you have to do is you have to get familiar with the platform. So that is very important for you guys. So what you can do is you can just go to each of the links and check what is in there. So that's what I'd recommend. Also, you can go to support and check for some articles like so for the freelancers. So you can each and every is there. You can check it out, check it out if you need more information, but those are actually not much, we're very much needed because I'll be covering the most important things in this course. So what in both freelancer and outlook on what you have to focus is just projects so that you have to apply on the projects with us killed on. So that is very, very important. So you have to always check on the projects as you logged in, logged in, and to apply on the projects, you have to use the bids. So the term is called as bids in Freelancer.com. So it can be, the bids can be relatable to the real, real-world scenario. .. if you take the real-world scenarios, if there are lots of kinds of auctions. And so in these auctions you have to go in with. But what is different in the freelancing platforms is that in the real-world scenario, the bids with the highest value will be marked as marked as the winning bid. But when it comes to freelancing and the client have the ability to choose, choose any of the bid as a winning bid. So it may be the high-speed or the lower bid o, it may be the a intermediate bids, for example, for this project it's called data entry. the employer rom India and there are 11 bids. So that means I love when people have applied to these projects. So actually, when it comes to Freelancer.com with a free account. So actually, you have the membership plans as well. So with the free account, I have the lowest membership plan. So if you have the free account, you will get six bids per month only. So that means you can apply only on six projects on a monthly basis. So actually, which is very low. But as a new freelancer, they will give an option for you to upgrade to this plus membership. So that's why for every new flavor, flavor, and freelancers, they will give an option for you to upgrade There'll be giving it for free. So that means as soon as you give credit card details to the freelancing platform, you can upgrade to this plus membership, which you can do after joining one mondo after the audio and in one week, it's up to you. So before upgrading that membership, you have to get familiarity with the platform. So what I recommend is as a new freelancer you are getting out, you can use the, the free plan, where you will get just only six bids. You can use those bids to a play on the projects. So in the next section, I will teach you how you can utilize those six bids effectively as well. So that is about a freelancer.com So let's go to the Upwork. Upwork is also very similar to the freelancing platform. So this is the homepage and as you can see here, there, you can see the projects posted by their employers. But to apply on projects, you have to spend connects. So there is a difference between two things. So when it comes to Freelancer.com, you have to spend bids to apply on the projects. And when it comes to upwork.com, you have to spend connects. But in Freelancer.com, you can, you can spend one bid to apply on one project. But in upwork.com, The connects that you cannot utilize one connect to apply on one project. It depends. So for an example, .. if I open this page and as you can see here, you are seeing, Sorry. So basically connects to submit the proposal. So for these projects, we need to spend only one. But if the employer has already spent some money and has a good hiding history, then they will also, for example, the employer has already spent $200k+. So if, if, if, if you want to apply this project, then you have to spend six connects. So it depends on project to project. And as a new freelancer, you noun-verb, you will get 60 connects for free. So that mean as, you registered on the freelancing platform and approved, you'll get 60 connects for free. And, and also good thing with Upwork is that Suppose you are applying on a project and the employer is sending a message to you to interview. So if you respond to that interview, so what they will do is they will add another 10 connects for free. So basically, if you, when you, when you are utilizing the connects very effectively, that means if you are getting interviews again and again, every 10 Connect will be added to your account and you can get more connects and apply on the projects. So let's go to the slides and the next slide. So actually before applying on the projects, you have to spot this camps. So how do you, how do you spot this camps? So one thing is communication outside the platforms. For example, you are playing on a particular project and their employees sending a message asking to communicate via email or phone number, or sometimes using some kind of websites. So that's actually then another thing is security deposit. So sometimes when you as soon as for these kind of projects like data and just sometimes as soon as you apply for the projects there, there you will receive a very long paragraph saying like that. You need to provide a security deposit like $10, $15 dollars to get this a project. So those are also very big scams. And that the thing is, sometimes they will, and the employer will send your message asking to download some apps which is not needed for the projects. So those are also kind of scams. And sometimes they will ask to visit the website and click on ads. For example, the Google is paying for clicking the ads. So, uh, what, what some people do is simply post the project on freelancer. It will come up again to ask the asters, some people to click on the ads, that they will be earning some money and they won't be hiring anybody. There's those are just completes scams and also some clients. What they would do is they will, they will actually have a project, but they will not be agreeing for a milestone payments. So in Freelancer.com, upwork.com, what, what is giving the creating the milestone will give you the secondary. That means for Let's take a project and let me show you how it works. The milestone in Freelancer.com. I'm opening a project, some kind of random projects. It seems like all. Let me say it like Okay, let me open and single project. It seems like all lists. I'm trying to find a good place. Again. Let me open this one. Yes, data and the bottom chord. So these both are from China. For example, if the client, the client has a list of in 2 thousand and they want to add the post code or something like that. So what happens is, so the client has put a budget of ten to 30, but sometimes if you need more than this kind of budget, you can be more. So as soon as you've done the projects, as soon as you can see, there are like Towson, though, *** is very, very high. Actually. Sign seeing this for the first time. Okay, That's fine. This kind of bids. So usually we will be seeing like a 100 weight. So likewise, okay, no problem, but the issue is declined or higher and that's fine. But the milestone payments. Okay. So what what does this mean is suppose if the client and you agreed for $30 for these projects before accepting the projects or do you have to do is you have to win when the client and you call communicating with each other, you have to ask the client to create a milestone and then only I wanted you to predict. So what happens is in Freelancer.com for, since this is a fixed project, as you can see here, is a fixed project, not an hourly project. So in Freelancer.com, as soon as suppose if the client communicated with you and you un both agreed for a budget and the client award you the project end. Once you accept the project, even before starting the work, you'll be charged 10 percent immediately. Or anyone fight or a suppose if this project budget is $30, you will be charged to fido does as soon as you accept the projects. So what you have to do is you have to ask the client to create the milestone before providing you the project. Also, when somebody send you the predictor proposal for a win-win, the client award you the project. You can check if the milestone is created or not. And after that, if you see it's greater than you can. The projects. So that's how it works. And the client actually, if the client wants to award you the project, they have to actually create the milestone, then only they can award the project so that, that's some kind of safe situation, what they are. And let's go to the next section. So, so what projects to apply as a beginner? So as, as I mentioned in Freelancer.com, you have only six bids. So actually you have to very, very selective or in a ding on the projects. And so for example, what I recommend is you have to be done the projects which are payment verified. That's because so what does that mean? So let me open a project, I guess so let me open some. So it's loading. So basically, for example, this with SEO for upside. So as you can see here, this is called as the payment is verify. This actually called as the payment is verified. And also the gland has the Hattie's research. So basically if you if you open any kind of projects, as you can see here, the payment is verified. So that means the payment is verified and you can see three reviews. That means the client already has a highly history. So that means the client has all the higher the three projects and completed it. So that those kind of whether you have to be done because hopefully those gave you the confidence that there's a chance, there's a high chance the client will be hiring because actually decline has us so disown completed projects. This is a result. Sometimes, sometimes you won't be finding any stars here because they were, they will be new, but the payment might be verified. So you have to check each and every project and make sure the payment is verified. So this one is not like, so this one is only one. So of course the payment will be verified. So if the client has not any tiny strand, the pyramid is not verified. So it's actually a red flag for you to apply as a beginner because you will have only six bids to apply here. And if you register those beads, then you will end up without any other projects, any other bids to apply on the projects. So that is one thing and the employer hiring history, you can also check the employer hiring history. So basically, this client has five-star, five-star, five-star that that means all the 12 budget TSI complete that five-stars. So someplace you will notice like they will have a less than five stars. So let, let, let, let us check out book. So this is alpha. So in our book also you have the option. You can check payment verified. This five-star, $400 already spent. So when it comes to our endeavor, they have some data for you before applying. So for example, this claim has spent $10 thousand and the payment is verified. And when I open this, you can check the client information here. So actually, he has 4.77 out of 974,008 jobs posted and 56 percent higher rate. And as you can see here there, you can check the hourly rate paid as well. So when you apply enough verb, you can have a guess, like home when the client is willing to pay for the kind of jobs also you can then the gland might have several kinds of jobs and you can check them heinously as well. For example, for this project, the client has paid $400. You can check like writing all are like your fixed projects. Not only projects. Okay. Yeah. Mostly fixed projects and you can take eaten for QuickBooks is going to connect. You have paid only $10. I don't know. Usually depends. You can check likewise. But in.. you don't have much statistics like as Upwork, but you can still check like the client location. Though a number of politics completed the reviews and the joint debt. But you cannot check the paying rate. Like how might decline has been those kind of story. You can check in Freelancer.com and and also some clients and some people, when starting out as a beginners, whatever the s-domain mistake is, that they try, they try to be done the projects with them. Low, low budget actually is not recommended. So if you want, do you want our developers to complete a project just to be down $30 because you have to, at the end of the day, it's your satisfaction. , a very beginner, you might have similar kinds of flexibilities like so. Even if you think that it always a good practice, good the M1, but you can try to do it at $20. So that's how it works. And so you'd have to avoid the clients with. You have to be done the projects. We are the clients have reasonable project but budget. At least some clients will post a file. For example, actually is from India and what is the parade? Parade is a 100 to 400. I have not put out. So no one is going to do this kind of a, so this is not a reason for a Facebook marketing expert, then it will pay at least like 15 of minimum wage should be $15 per hour. So basically a 100 Let us check. A 100 INR. High end. I am not to USD. So a 100 INR is just one. I don't $1.5 or something like that. So no one is going to be done the project you don't need to if, if, if you wanna face me marketing expert, and as you can see that the client has a highly history payment verified by 10 to get deposited. Both are both are good. So but you don't want to have a play in this project because as you can see here, the a 100 space where less is not a reasonable period. So you have simply provided and also you have to make sure you don't. The jobs that fall under you expertises some claims where they are and what day what I notice is they just don't everybody's actually that's not a good practice. Just be done the projects that you are confident and you have some experience with it. So basically, if you are planning to apply on social media marketing, yes, to apply on that kind of projects only to go for another works like virtualized or noise, or like you have a graphic designing. So just keep it on a particular niche and get the client in the same niche. So by that way, you will get good experience and in the long run, it will help you to scale and charge higher. And the last thing. So it's better win-win bidding on the projects. It's better to have a ready-made projects. Because when it comes to fill answered outcome and up for work, you have to be done the projects as soon as they paused at. So why did they come Mondays? For example, you are seeing this kind of predicts oppose that. So for example, if you're going to beat this project, this project is better to have some kind of draft proposals in our document and they're using that. You can simply paste it over there. And we don't know about you. But in the next section I will show how to customize the beats because even if you just copy and paste the proposal, it doesn't work. So you have to go even if you have to have a like ready-made draft, a proposal. But every bids you submit here, you have to customize according to the project description and the skills they are looking to. Looking in the freelancers. So that's where you can win the bids and stand out from the crowd. And also because the reasons for having these ready-made draft.. List. You can quickly be done the projects and easy, easily, customizable and lesser time. So quickly we don't the predicts because unless the project is posted, .. So if you are reading as the number one freelancer, what happens is the employer will get your message, gets you a bid as a message in their profile. So that's that's what they recommend to her on the project as the first-person, First-person or foster 23 percent. So what happens is employer is going to get a message in their inbox and they sometimes try to talk with you in immediately. So that's really good practice to meet on the project as soon as possible. So rather than just waiting for that, you have to have a ready-made draft proposal and you cannot, you cannot just copy paste those proposals. You have to customize it according, accordingly. And also that draft proposal help you to reduce the risk because if I just rearranged when reading on the projects. So this is the bead, but if you're typing hello employee, likewise, some days you might end up in some areas. So having a draft proposal due to our these kind of things. And the next thing is how you can create a ready-made proposal. So that's also a very important thing. Ready-made draft was actually ready-made actually it should be a draft proposal. Because you cannot just copy, paste that proposal into every project you're getting just a draft proposal. So actually the freelancing, freelancing website is a great asset for you to get the draft proposal. So what you can do is you can just look for the freelancers. Suppose your skill is web design. So let, let me take as ... And so without any skills, let us take data entry. Just remember these. Okay. So I can check on the finances with the data and it has the skills. So let me open one thing because the hue is most, okay, let me open this profile. So this freelancers says Excel VBA, Google Sheet, top 1% freelancer, okay? Yes, like the US and a 142 reviews. So what you can do here is so this is project for Chandra, Sandra Sega G. That means the client has a came to his profile and hired him directly. So and if that's the case, we don't need this up in any bits. You can just communicate with the client and if it's a good fit, you can get the projects. But for example, Edit CSV files. Simple question, probably willing to pay for an answer. So these kinds of things, actually, those are posted as predicts end with the several, several bids. The client has chosen this freelance and also .. this freelance and the freelancer or able to complete this .. .., as you can see that .. here. So for example, I'm opening this profile,. So as you can see here, but it's a hundred, two hundred fifty. And I'm talking about how to create your readymade draft proposal. So what you can do is I let me let me Kim here, the proposals, I believe is sealed so you cannot check his profile proposal or the freelancer is introduced a new tool called sealing the proposal. That means when do you apply on projects? .. So when you apply on new projects that you can, you have the option to seal the seal your proposals so that means nobody can not check except the client. So these guys have sealed the projects and this guy has also invited the projects. So you can see are they if, if the project is not sealed, you can check the proposals. .. ..l. And you can take likewise, this is proposal, this proposal. So you can go through these proposal and create a very good one based on your understanding. So actually that's just an example. So if it is, if you're, if you're, if you're actually for the data in the Excel, those kind of stuff. I'm showing some examples. So if it is four a M design or something like that, what you have to do is just go to Fill answers and check the freelancers who are doing web design or development, and open their profiles and check the completed projects. And then you can check some of the bits done by the top freelancer, then you will, you will get an idea about how they are doing it. .. .. .. So you can check on their proposals. Let's see. Yeah, These these freelancers, they are a freelancer, but his proposal is not hidden. So it's very simple. Sometimes it is simple. There is lots of mistakes as well here. You can check it likewise. So there, there is actually a good start. So what you have to do is you have to check several proposal like this and you have to create your own Word document. It's very easy. You can now you're going to have a Google document to create your proposal and save it as a bookmark. Then only then only when you've done the projects, you can easily access them and paste it into .. So that helps to speed up the process. So in the next section, I will be building on that protects and I will show my proposal how I beat and a play on the project's supposed stuff. So let's meet over there. Thank you. 5. Project Bidding -1- Freelancer.com - ‘Data Entry for Online Pharmacy’: Hello guys, welcome to the course. So in this section, we're really going through the draft proposal. So usually your proportional. So to start with hi there, hi the employer name. But in some kind of proposals in project description, for example, this Freelancer.com and Freelancer.command in some kind of details, that means predict detail. So project description, if the description is too long, some employers tends to add a keyword. So what they will do is they will add up putting the keyword in the middle of the project details apart and ask them to ask ask the finances to start their proposal with that particular keyword. So I couldn't find any examples here, but they will say start your proposal with the word SEO. So if you didn't start the word with SEO, then they will simply amit your proposals. So that, that's the kind of employers do to see if you are reading their project, project description thoroughly. So sometimes you might need to start with the keyword based on the project description. Otherwise you can start with hi there, hi name. So when it comes to a PRG, there is a way to identify the employer name. In some cases only, and also in Freelancer.com, there is no such way, but some employers, what they will do is when they submit the project details, they will also put their name at the, at the, at the end. They will put Regards their name. So from that only you can find their name. Otherwise, if you don't find it over here, you cannot know their name. So you can start with hi there. And the body part is the very important. So what you have to do here is you have to discuss the experience which is relevant to the poster project. So for example, if the, if they are posting like they need an SEO Studio. So you have to discuss a particular your experience with x here is your and what are, what are the skills you have with the CEO and what are the results you got for the clients may be. So those kind of things. So you have to discuss in your proposal hand. You can also ask any questions in your proposal that is actually optional. It's up to you and the ending the proposals. So how you should end the proposal? So you can end the proposal something like this. This just an example, but you are open to change according to needs and recommends. So something like this. So can you please send me a message to discuss these in detail? So PS, this is an ideal predict for my capabilities. I'm online at the moment. So brain brackets mobile app, feel free to initiate a chat and we can discuss further regarding your project and regards and then your name. So so using this any one, what you are going to convey the employees that you are, you just reinforcing the employer like you have the capabilities to do these projects as well as you are saying that you are online at the moment and that means you are available. You are, you are saying like that. You, you have the capability to do the predict as well as available at the moment. So there's a high chance that the employer will talk with you after reading your proposal so you can modify this, but also you need to get the mobile app in your phone so that freelancer and both have mobile apps. And so when someone messages you, you can immediately reply to their messages and it will help with getting more and more projects. So let me start with one project. So so let me look at this project. So data and before online pharmacy. So in Freelancer.com, you have only six bits for a free account. So what you have to do is you have to wait for the projects that are that are coming from the employers who, who, who have already verified their payment. So that means the assembler has already verified the moments. So then only you know, these might hire somebody for their task. Otherwise, if the payment is not very bad, we're not sure what's going to happen. Also, instinct, you have just six bits in Freelancer.com. Or what you have to do is you have to just focus on the predicts that up payment verified. Uh, so there is my number one advice for the beginners because you cannot waste those six bits. So this example we will see so these data and before online pharmacy. So what they need, It's been an ongoing data entry for.. Online pharmacy system, responsibility will be transcribing patient demographics payment information, but the information into pharmacy system from faxed prescriptions. So this will be an ongoing portion, so the employee has clearly explain what they need. So what why does you are responsible? Will be the transcribing the patient demographics and adopt the information. Into the pharmacy system. So that will be coming from the faxed prescriptions. So actually this project has been posted a few days ago, I guess. So that's why you're seeing this number of bits. So what I recommend is as a new finance or what you have to do is do you have to be done the projects which are payment verified and also you are you are you tried to bid on the project as soon as they're posted. So what I recommend is you have to monitor the platform here and there throughout the day so that you are, you know, which predicts a payment verified and also you have to be number one, Number two, be down to predict. So what happens is if you, for some projects, if you bid as the number one person for Barilla predict what happens is that you are bit will be as a message to the employer. So there's a high chance that he will talk with you and you may get the project as well. So let me start with this one. So we so this is actually the draft proposal. So here we don't know the name or actually so we can start with hi there. Hi there. And you can, you'd have to put the rate as well. So this employs just giving only to two. So thereby be doing two to eight USD per hour. So it's up to you to, based on you can put like 60, it's what you expect. So you can, so if you are a beginner, you are going to start with some kind of average rate, maybe 54 of my, something like that. If you have lots of expand, you can just put aid. It depends, but, and so now the body part, so what you have to do is you have to make sure you know the the patella responsibly very well so you can just use the employees worrying as well. So so let me see. So you can you can put like this, I can help it. Transcribing transcription, demographics, payment information, dr information into pharmacy system from faxed prescriptions. So actually this is just one sentence and also this will be an ongoing potion. So basically you have to make sure you also I'm interested. I'm ready. I'm ready for an ongoing position. And also there is one thing you can add, the before ending point. And what you can do is so this customer wants to pharmacy system. So what you can do is this is the kind of some kind of trick mentioning. So you can go and go to Google and search for the pharmacy system examples let me see from these softwares. So for examples. So there are some products here. So you can, you can copy these things and include in your proposal as well if you wish. So actually this is a very straightforward job. So that's why I recommend adding these as well, because this will be very wary when they're placed these, these kind of things. You will have a very high chance of getting the proposals. So you can, you can add like experienced from C Tools or something like that. You can add it because this project is actually very, very straightforward, just transcribing the documents. So that's why I'm recommending adding these kind of pharmacy systems instead of pharmacy systems. This time these kind of examples to gay get the projects for yourself. So when it comes to other kinds of very complex present, I don't recommend these kind of things. And you can end the process, something like this. you can change the ending according to your needs. And so that's all. So you can just simply submit your bead as well. And freelancers offering some. So if you select this option sponsored, you, you'll have to pay some 4.900 USD, but your bit will be displayed as the number one with all the 153 freelancers. But, I don't recommend these kind of things. So you don't need to spend any of the money over here. As an experience for a nice sometimes use this one because my EBIT, my proposals will be very unique to our someone from copying my work, I will use this one, but new freelancer, you don't need to do anything. So you can, what you can do is you can simply snap into place the beat. I think we have lost it, so maybe I have to do it again. So let me quickly do it. So it doesn't take much time as you know, I can't help it. So I think when I go back, it has disappeared. I forgot to copy it and I am ready for an ongoing question. Going position. And you can also copy those kind of this kind of experienced tools, experience pharmacy systems. Actually this kind of a hike and you have to play the game. So you have to be very careful when given n. So this doesn't work for all the all kind of projects. So since this is a very straightforward project, I'm recommending adding these kind of examples because it will improve In, provide a very high chance of you getting the project. And so you can end up in the projects like this. And so that's all. So says, Oh, if you have any experience with pharmacy also you can ideally, I did over here. So that's all you can simply some better place to be. So I'm going to copy this one into this documents because so that I can share it later. Project 2, 1 proposal so that I can check it. You guys can check it later as well. And maybe I can add this link as well. Okay, that's good. That's good goal. So let me, I'm going to put like six USD. Let's see what happens sometimes. So now the project is v dot n. It says, I'm a 117 out of a 154 proposals. So actually I don't do any data kind of work for now. So that's why my bid is very low. Is little bit behind. Otherwise I get like one or two for the, my other skills like Facebook advertising, a chatbot, determine other things. So that's all about these first two proposal, somebody, the first proposal and your when submitting the proposal, you can also check other freelancers proposals as well. So some freelancers have sealed the proposal. So that means they have paid up tens, 0.10$ for the freelancer to hide the proposals from copying some but others they have not. And you can check this as well. And also, if you want, you can add these skills as well in your proposals. So that's an extra bonus. My advice you can, if you want, you can add it so you can add a sentence like, I have very good experience with or copy typing. So those kind of you can add our students as well. So that's the first proposal. So let's see in eNodeB and the freelancing freelancing proposals. If you have any questions, please let me know in the Q&A sections. Thank you. 6. Project Bidding -2- Freelancer.com - ‘Virtual Assistant - Data Entry': Welcome back to the course. So this is another project in freelancer.com. So the titled virtual assistant data and refer three to four hours. Actually, this project is from an employer living in India. So usually I don't recommend putting on the projects from that, from coming from the countries, developing countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. I recommend you to you guys. We don't the projects from developed countries such as US, UK, Canada, Australia, or Europe countries. Likewise. So actually I took this project because and so this employer has actually asked the freelancers to add a particular keyword in your application to be considered. So what he will do is if you, if you don't include that particular word in your proposals, he won't be won't be actually, he will be actually filtering out of your out of with other freelancers so you won't be able to get the job if you don't include this particular length. So let us go to the proposal and check how many people have included the word and how many will not. So they're like 46 proposals have been sappy that so basically so these customer so this person has a red no. Added. Yes. Yes. Yeah. No. This seed sowing seed and no. Yes. So as you as you can see here, he has more times likely some kind of I don't know. So no, yes, no. No. Yes. So likewise, you can check it thoroughly. So as you can see here, it actually like a more than 50 percent of the people are just missing out a particular keyword. So in the value as just seeing 23 people and more than 78 people missing the particular keyword linked. So we have to start with the keyword end. And also he has mentioned the description. You have to see the data from LinkedIn respond to some of the chat threads, see the profile of the response, dance and put up in an Excel sheet. So number of occupation that response at people who responded, their details of what they said in the profile details and links. They should take close to maximum three to four hours. So then, so that is about the, about the about the job. So let me start. So actually this freelancers already, this employer has a good budget, I don't know, but you can just put the highest one if you prefer. Doesn't buy a 100 or something like that. So you have to also create the milestone as well. So you can, for my strong, you can just simply put LinkedIn virtualized and you can put like something like that. Linkedin my student and I have created the proposals or here. So the proposal, we have to obviously start with a particular keyword linked. And then we can talk about the particular project description. So that means we have to transfer the data from LinkedIn to excel sheet. And also we have to also help with responding to chatbots. So those are the two main task in this project. So you'd have to include those two in your proposal for sure. And if you have any experience with LinkedIn, you can add as well. So basically, like if you have already worked with some other kind of employers for LinkedIn projects, you can add that as well. So you can simply copy and paste it over there and submit the bid. So that's sit. So if I place Submit, it will be submitted over there. As you can see here, it says like, I'm ranked number one out of 47 proposals. So I think this kind of metrics is from Freelancer several command and I think they are seeing like, so if you, if you are using some kind of keywords from this particular project details. So then there will be high chance you will be ranked. And also as I mentioned earlier, you can include these skills as well in your proposal. So that's it for this project. So let's see, in another project, proposals, if you have any questions, please let me know in the Q&A sections. Thank you. 7. Project Bidding -3- Freelancer.com - ‘Hotel Front/Airbnb Desk Support': Guys, welcome back. So this is another project I am looking at. So this is about hotel front desk support, Airbnb, customer service agent. So this comes under the customer service skills. So we can go through the project description, as you can see here, the employees from Ireland and has a five-star review. And also the payment is also verified as well. So you can read through the project details. So let me read it. So we have a portfolio of hotel rooms, accommodation, and lodges across Ireland and UK. As we rebuild the portfolio to a larger levels with larger contracts coming on stream in eight weeks, we need to build out of hours of customer support staff. So since they are expanding, they need customer support staff to assist their guests. So the support staff will mainly deals with emails, follow-up on guest checking with in the next 48 hours deal with customers over the phone. We are needed manage inbound communication. We are seeing.com. So what they need is they need, you need to mix mostly handling their following,, following up with a guess via e-mail and also sometimes when needed, you need to have you need to get on the phone as well. And they are using green.com for that. And they have listed the must have. So the ideal agent must have experienced, motivated, and a 100 percent customer-focused. And the fluent in English. Good troubleshooter communicate well over the phone, email and messaging platforms. Experienced using Airbnb Booking and Expedia, experience with Channel Manager. And we are we are MS. platforms and nice to have revenue management experience and pricing experience, have an I4 and opportunity hotel front experience. So basically they have clearly explain the project description and the tasks you will be doing. So let's let me go to the proposal area. So in this proposal, the employer has not asked to include any keyword and we also don't know the name of the employer as well. So you can simply start with hi there. And so I have started in such a way like I'm unmotivated and a 100 percent customer focused into l. So basically, this particular keyword is coming from the employees predict description itself. So they need a moderate and a 100 percent customer focus in detail because you need to be very, very careful with the guest is so that if you treat them very well via e-mails and provide a very good customer service. They will, there's a high chance that they will be returning again and again to use the rental service when they come back again to a particular place. So that's very important. So that's what I have. We started with kind of motivating a 100 a 100 percent customer focus in dual, who can professionally as your guest and follow up with them in a timely manner. I have a good experience using Airbnb Booking and Expedia and also some good knowledge in revenue management as well. So here it is up to you to modify and recreate this this kind of sentences based on your experience and knowledge. This just an examples and this just ending. So I can simply copy and paste it over here and we don't actually, I don't have some kind of skills. I think I don't have this skill in my profile .., so I am adding that.. So if you don't have any skills listed over here, it doesn't allow you to bid on the project, so you have to add that skill then only you can bid. So they have a budget of just two to €6/hr. So I'm going to put like six just for an example and paste this over here as well. So that's it and I can place to be. So I am again rank number one out of 36 proposal. You can also check other people's proposals as well. So have as a promotion, I have three projects in Freelancer.com. So I hope you guys provide some kind of basic understanding of how you should be done the projects on Freelancer.com. So in the coming videos, I will be teaching you how to bid on the upwork.com. So it's a kind of different thing. It's a kind of ended up freelancing platform, which is where we have some kind of good projects as well. So we will see in the next video. Thank you. 8. Project Bidding -4- Upwork.com - ‘Data Entry - Bank Statement Transactions': Welcome back. So we are now here at Upwork.... So this is about it's about entering the transactions in bank statements in PDF file or an Excel with accuracy. And as you can see, you can check the employer statistics. He's from USA and the higher rate, he has spent $10 thousand and the hourly rate is 2727.8 to power and he is a member from 2016. So basically up for provide more information rather than Freelancer.com. And here's a budget of $60 for this project. And the project description is like, you'll be provided with 24 bank statements and will need to enter the conversation into an Excel with a 100 percent accuracy. So what you're going to do is you have to enter the transition from the 24 bank statements with a 100 percent accuracy. And I had many like East, each statement has anywhere between 2250 entries and you will be entering all the entries while some are small. As it help us verify if there are any entries missing as the balances will add up. So it has to be done accurately. So basically you have to do it very accurately and That's it. And as I mentioned earlier, there's a way for you to check the name of the employer in Upwork. So you have to just drag down and you can check the client's history. So he has like 50 projects already completed. So as you can see here, so this is the freelancer review for the client. So this review is posted by flare freelancer and distribute actually despised are wearing it was a pleasure to work. It's so actually this was posted by the freelancer to this client. So that means the client's name is 1 gut. So basically as we can confirm that what you can do is you can simply copy control C and you can extend this project a little bit further. And Control F So you can search it. So what I'm going to so it's going to search so to confirm that to his blanket. So basically this end of the freelancer has mentioned his name as mankind. And the freelancer has named as wink at. Because so when it comes to up for, there are some people will use their company accounts. So there you will find several names, but here there is 11 employer name who is wearing gut. So we can start the proposal calling his names because most of the freelancers actually learn all these tricks. So you can start proposal Something like this, haloing gut. And they need help with entering the transaction from the 24 bank statements to an Excel sheet with a 100 percent accuracy. Although you can discuss your experience with Excel data entry liger if you have already prayer previously done same kind of a job before private, institutional, or in other part-time job. You can add that as well. So I'm going to simply copy this one and paste it over there. So you can click on. And also you have, you can note that you have to have four connects to submit these proposals. So so you have to remind that as well as a New France, you will be getting 60 connects. So that's all good and you can select your profile as well. So if you have these virtual administering, you can select it. And then their budget is $60. You can keep it. This adds as it is, and you can select less than one month and you can simply submit a proposal. So our vocal, so we'll suggest any changes if it is, But all good. So you can submit the proposal. So you have to accept the terms and conditions. That is, the x crop protection in place of fixed to your bees and declare the funds are released when the client approves the work and also the upward mediation fees. That means they will charge like 20 percent, 10 percent, and 50 cents as explained before in the previous videos. So you can continue to submit. Your proposal will be submitted. So unfortunately not work, you cannot check the other freelancers bits, but you can check a range of how many freelancers athlete say's 50 plus. So that means we have 2 plus a freelancer have already been on the project and and the client has already built last year. The client has the particular project four minutes ago, but he's not giving anyone and has not sent any invites as well. So these are the statistics you can see in.com. And when, when if the client interviews you, they will send a message as like in Freelancer.com. But if they choose to interview, you will get 10 free connects. So that's a good part of Upwork and let's meet on another project .. Thank you. 9. Project Bidding -5- Upwork.com - ‘Customer Support for Credit Education Company': So this is another project from upwork.com. So this is about customer or member support for online predict education company, a virtual assistant. So it's a kind of customer support job. So basically if you can't see, if you've checked the client statistics, they are from United States and they have spent so far $8 thousand and paying about low-end dollars per hour. And if you, if you read through the project description, looking to what? Looking to 12 to people to join my team for customer support for an online credit card education company, We need someone with very good communication skills. So you'll need to have very good communication skills. And fluent English must have strong customer service skills. Duties include on-boarding or welcome new members. Students that enroll because it's absolutely online credit education company, a monthly follow-up customer service, chicken coals and a monitor and replay to customer support, emails and chats, drop documents and send via e-mail to proper folders and file or files and any other tasks as a employee. And so these are really good project to be done. So we can check if you can find the employer name. Oh, they have spent a thousand dollars as you can see, but I think we cannot find the name. So you can check all the projects posted by the employer to find their name. Actually, actually, I cannot find a name here, so you can simply start by how they're. So here's the proposal have created. So hello there. I have fluent English and great customer service skills. So actually what they needed expect you from the project is that they're looking for someone with fluent in English and strong customer skills. Stone customer service skills, although they need as a comic, good communication as well. And also they are asked to do these kind of jobs. So I have started proposal like I have learned English and great customer service skills to work as the customer. Customer or members support for your online credit card education company, I guess how bid and those are the things mentioned by the... You can rephrase according to your needs and it's up to you to.., these things and the ending. It's very similar to the other proposals which I have submitted before. That means it is an idea, a project for my capabilities and I'm online at the moment. Feel free to initiate chat that we can discuss further regarding your .. ., then you can simply copy paste these and a little bit over there. So actually, I'm not going to be on this project. Actually you can check the connects to submit. So actually this project or request around six connects as well. So that's it lies. In the next video, I will generally go to the projects and explain how you can be on the project for other kinds of skills such as graphic designing or software engineer, what things do you need to include and what are the precautions or what other things you have to look after before bidding on the projects. So see you then guys. Thank you. 10. Extra Tips on Bidding or Submitting Proposals on Freelancer and Upwork: So in previous videos I was talking about how you should bid on, on Freelancer.com up doc.com as the other data entry, a freelancer or a customer support freelancer. So I haven't talk about other other kinds of freelancer such as graphic designers, how you should be doing the projects or web development freelancers, how you should be on the projects. So let's, let's talk about graphic designing. So I'm going to search graphics, graphics designer and check some projects. I'm going to share some of my tips but I'm not a graphic designer, but I can share them. some tips which can help you to get the projects. So so basically let me open up and let me open good project. Let me check. And let let us check only the payment verified. You can you can filter the things here. You can check the filter based on payment verified, the client history, based on the budget, everything you can do it here. Layout designer, record that we are looking for a logo designer that has a passion. I'm trying to get a good project. ... ... let me check these projects. So these itinerary good project for graphic designer who is doing amazing product listing images. So the project is we are looking for someone to help us create advertising listing images for our amazon products. We currently have a computer-generated images of our products and need someone to create appealing listing images. For each products. A three to four images of each product is preferred. We will need a hundreds of images as we have 200 and propose we want to list. Please show us examples of your work. Please be per image. And, and most importantly, this is really important. Start you a bid with ... So we know you are not above 90 percent, 95 percent of the 95 percent fail the symbol rule and you're either bought or really bad at following simple instructions. Either way we will decline if you don't start with levels. So this is a kind of process.. but the employer wanted to check whether you are following the simple instructions or not. If you don't start the .. ., they are going to simply decline your proposal. So the first thing is you have to start your bid with .. and if you can find their name, It's very great. So basically as, as I do as I did in the previous projects, you can find the names from the client history tab. So it seems like his name is Rick. So what you can do is copy that one and expand, expand, expand and .., and it will search and press three and we can confirm if his name is Rick. Yeah. It seems like his name is reached, so we have found out his name as well. And so when bidding you have to follow these kind of, you'd have to follow the, you have to include these kinds of instructions in your bead as well as he has directly asked to show the sample of folk samples of your work. And you have to bid per image. So you have to put that, put that in your, in your proposal as well. So for this kind of a for this project, the client has asked you to show the samples of work as well within the project description as well. So usually when you can, when you submit the proposal, you will find an option to add your so this is my bile stored on by particular you can select anything and you have the option to add the attachments. So this is where it's very, very useful for the graphic designers because they can simply showcased us kill the previous graphics you have created for the clients, which is related to this kind of predict as well. So it's very easy for you can simply drag and drop your files and show it. So as a graphic designer, what I recommend is to add all the, add all the sample work within the attachments for every proposal you submit on Upwork. So it's very easy and it will get it will give an opportunity for the client to check your work as well. So you saw in the last project I saw, the client has asked you to include the previous work. But if you check in other projects like creating, assisting solo when, when a design So this client has not included anything. I'm looking for a freelancer to create a logo and a banner for my new website as well as social media back for the same project. So there is a very good project, so they need logo and minor for the website as well as the shortest social media pack. So what you can do is when you bid on the project, you can simply add your previous social media pack samples and the logo samples and the samples within these attachments. So that's why they wanted to talk for the graphic designers. So let's check some web design, web development projects. So web development reps, I don't. So let me check. create facility e-commerce company website so we can take these as well. So this employer is looking for a web developer. So through the web, the website you will be creating should be fast, secure, and compelling. So they are expecting these kinds of things from a freelancer who will be hiring for this kind of job. So the first project, inexperienced web developers needed to create a fast, secure, a responsive e-commerce. We are played a website that would take not more than two seconds for the pages to load and open fast and security code and security. So create a e-commerce website. Maintain the website periodically fast and it'll respond to you. A creative candidate needed a second project, clear develop that say, that allow visitors to .. with donation button and section to upload audio posts, podcasts, and video ... It's actually the client has to project. So first one is regarding the e-commerce website. I think that is the priority and that's much more productive because he has also included that in the title of the public as well. So for this project, what you have to do is do you have to submit the e-commerce website you have done up, which are very fast and secular within the project proposals so that you can ask the client to check. Please check my work over here. So if the client has directly check your work before talking with you. So if they like, don't like your work, you can there's a high chance they will hire hire you. And also let me check if they have including me skills or not here. So let me check any other protected for web development. So so it's redesign the Shopify store and the store website. So let me, let me check this one. So actually, this client is looking to hire a freelancer for creating a Shopify store website. So Shopify store for a single product, I brought an example of a plate which I will have met. So actually the client also has an example website that he want to replicate for his product. And also he has included the pages he need. So it's a very, very straightforward project and you aren't you going to do is you can share the previous Shopify stores you'd have built. And if you have a single product web page you have already created, That's very great. You can simply include that as well. So if the client, if that particular single product with flip side is very much more attractive than the client sample. He will end up in hiring for sure. So that started things and then open. let me check it. Slowly made some missing. So actually this e-commerce website creation, again, I think there are lots of e-commerce website creation projects for web developers need to create a website with admin page so that I can add products to integrate with the shopping service and backbone. And so actually, there's a very straightforward for an IT project. The client has not provided any much more details, but you can actually include the samples so that it's very important. And for some clients they will. You can check on this. So this client that actually include only these kind of skills. So I mean these skills and expertise. So you can use that option as well and include that in your proposal. So let me check another project. So E-sharp. So actually the client has, so for example, this also another e-commerce development. So it's simply e-shop in WordPress. So actually declined is mentioned. You have to create the website in WordPress using WooCommerce plug-in. So actually, he wanted to have here mentioned as you, as you can see here, skills and expertise. So then a website design, website optimization. We played customization, WooCommerce and WordPress, and also important Payment System paper and paper, PayPal and Stripe. So when you submit the proposal, you can include your previous work samples of e-commerce website you have done before. Also, what you can do is if you don't have anything but any samples, you can also use these skills and expertise seconds. So what you can do is you can, as you can see here, the clients want to have bought VM and gateways, such as PayPal and Stripe in their website. So what you can do is you can simply include that that may simply mentioned in your proposal that I can help with integrating the PayPal and Stripe payment gateway system as well in your store with providing security, check out for the customer says something like that. So you can add sentences for your proposals using these kinds of skills and expertise as well. So those are the things I wanted to mention. So let me go to the slides and explain some tips before meaning under dips on building and somebody in the proposals. So in my previous lessons, I was explaining about bidding and submitting proposals for about five project ideas. So I explained for the five projects. So guys, you can get a basic understanding of how you should submit their bids and we don't freelancers, but when it comes to fill and so it is just a numbers game. So freelancer output is just a number, numbers game. So that means the more number of projects 0. So the more number of the projects do submit or the predicts you beat. So that means in Freelancer.com, it's mentioned that bidding, but in vogue it's mentioned as submitting proposals. So that's a different. So, but at the end and at the end of the class then just you need to apply on a more projects as much as possible so that you can increase your chance of getting hired. So as it's directly connected is all the more predicts you apply on the predicts, the more projects you apply on the freelancing platforms, whether it's a upwork or Freelancer.com, there's a high chance you will get hired. And, but when it comes to there's also an editing you want to take into consideration that is quality versus quantity. So basically when you submit proposals and bits in freelance, it'll come up, you have to personalize your bits or customize, or customization matters. So basically, you have to personalize. That means that you can get the employee's name and start with their name and also customize. So customized mean, as I explained before, you have to get some keywords from the project description and added your proposal, which creates a very customized proposal for the, for the particular kind of projects. And it helps you to start the initial conversation with the employee and you might get hired for the job as well. If you provide a very confidence skill set level for the project. And then other thing is you have to target long-term clients. So when it comes to finance and up vote, if you've got long-term clients, what happens is you will get, you don't need to go to philanthropy.com to be done the projects. So if you got locked up lines, you will be getting the works on a daily basis, monthly basis. So you can spend more time working on the projects rather than searching for new kinds of projects. So what I recommend is getting long-term clients. So when you bid on the project, you have to target long-term plans. So that means in some kind of predicts, they will simply mentioned, they're looking for someone for their long-term. So just for an experiment setting like long-term, I'm not sure if they can't find. So you can find this. You can find here, I guess iPhone. So we are looking for a German video editor who cropped video perfectly for our product promotion, for long-term predicts. So if you get hired for a long-term project, you don't need to come to freelance Robert.com to get started bidding on the project. So with the long-term clients, 56 long complaints, sometimes you don't need to be done to predict at all for a few months. So that is very important as well. So in the next next session, I will be guiding you how to communicate with the clients. So thank you. 11. Client Communication & Closing the Deal on Freelancer and Upwork: Hello guys, how are you doing? So in this section, I'll be going through the client communication skills and how you should close the Deals, because communication plays a very important deal in getting the projects for you. So let's get started. So the main mistake every freelancer does is that all the, almost all the freelancers exist in the world. .. they simply assume what the client's needs. So basically what they will do mostly is that they will check the project description and assume that the clients need these kind of things. Okay, I can do it. And when when the clients communicates with them, they don't discuss those kind of things in detail. And later what happens is the project. The clients might have some in-depth requirements which may not be available in the project descriptions. So the freelancer will suffer from software a lot at the end because, uh, because of not discussing that recommends clearly. So basically what you do is you do so when you when when a particular client communicates with you, you don't you don't you should not assume what the client's needs. So what you have to do is you have to listen to the client and let them speak, or 95 percent of the clients will speak out their problems. But there are actually some clients. They won't be level with a kind of lazy to explain what they need. So at this, at that case, what you have to do is you have to ask as many ask questions so that you can get a clear understanding. But at 99, 95 percent of the clients speak out their problems very well. So what you have to do is you've got to simply listen to the client and analyze the problem. And also you have to make sure it is within the budget and time. So it's a very good you have to get a very good understanding of the problem so that you can measure the particular project is within a budget and schedule. After that, you can go ahead and present the solution to the clients. So by following these kind of steps such as listen to the client unless the problem, make sure we issue or it is within the budget and time. And also, you can go ahead and present your solution. And so by doing this, actually you can avoid a lot of things and it will make the communication very fluent and very flexible. And it will clear every doubt you have in the projects. So I will be showing some some of the examples of the projects and my communications with the client. Actually, these are very old communications, I guess. So let me open this one. So this is a client is so I started freelancing in 2017 and within a year. So my communication is not very professional. So I will pointing out my mistakes as well here, but still I got this job. So basically, if you can see here, there are 57 proposals and the client has had only two people, me and another freelancer. So let's get started. So actually the client has messaged me, Can you start today and have it done in the next day or two? So what you have to do is the winner when somebody is some clients or message, do you have to start your communication like high their first name. Actually, I haven't done like that because it was my early stage. So I have I have I was I didn't have that kind of communication skills at the time. So basically I was very quick in replying. So basically the client has message me 1935 PM and I replied 9, 36 PM. So basically so the client, based on the response in the client might have our job. Oh, and also I have good at getting the details. So let me see. So the client can start today and have it done in the next day or two. So if you are replying to this kind of message, and now what do you have to do is you have to start your message. Hi, Dave. Thank you for your message. Yes. I can start today and have it done within two days. So something like that, you can reply. So basically it is not a good communication actually. So by what I did was after as soon as I replied, I simply asked for the particular extra sheet because a decline in the project description, the client has mentioned the, our existing Excel sheet and did not attached to the project itself. So basically I have asked it, asks for the Excel sheet right away and basically he send me and also asked me to do fight, fight to 10. And okay. At this stage here, send me the Excel sheet and I asked me to read how to instructions first. And also yes, I I said yes, thank you. And also some instructions again. And also okay. I was reading actually, these kind of things. Actually not good not good communication, I will say. So you have to thank you for sending all of the instructions. Please wait a moment while I read through the instructions or something like that. You can say the client and also. So basically, he was waiting for me whether if I understand the particular project instructions or not. And I mentioned I confirm their him that yes, I understand the project. And also he asked me to do five to ten lines and also okay, I I've seen the 50 ten lines samples to be a tomato. We both on the same page and yes, he said perfect. And also after that, he earned me simply so that kind of stuff. And it's yeah, it's avoided and it's completed very at a five-star review, I guess. So these lit review I get from the client Excellent work on the first project and he hired me and other public as well. So these are the review. So let's go to the end of the project. So actually this project is about customer service on set and ask for an e-commerce store. So basically, yeah, So this project, so as you can see here, only 10 bids here. So I was invited here within 10 beats. And so let's see what happens. So actually the client messaged me, Hello, Thank you for bidding. You have an experience with set and depth and to drop keeping e-commerce inquiries. So actually I was a little bit so it is in 2019. So actually I changed some of my communication here. Hi, You have to mention their firstName as well. So if it is failing, so you have to mention some direct thank you for your message. Yes, I do have. So basically I am mentioning like, I do have the experience with e-commerce. So what the clients asked, I had the experience and I also So he asked me for the set set index. So it is a kind of customer service. It's a kind of a software to handle the customer service request tickets. So actually I had experience with them, helps Scout. So it's also software similar to this one and also I send the message and also I was asking him to check the reviews as well. Actually, you don't need to do this. And also here I am asking whether how many hours per task and also how many hours per week. So basically seems to these the customer service desk, I was asking how many hours should I commit on this project? And also I am asking his website URL because I need to learn his website, your website to be a customer service representative. Because as a customer service representative, you need to know what is the what those services so product he's selling. So then only you can assess the customers. Also, he mentioned the hours and also he sent me the website and also I can handle it. And also I am asking you about the timeframe. Do you do any to work within Padilla time or likewise. And also, I'm asking some other things like do you have any spreadsheet dogs to connect with sublayers and that kind of thing. And he mentioned like it's an older automated system and okay, that's gone. That's fine. And also and also the thing is i'm I'm actually here. He didn't. Actually I am also what I did was I employing some kind of value to the client based on my previous experience. So this is what I am doing. Old also the sites I have worked in the past. So that means I have previous experience with kind of task. And also what I'm doing is they had what I'm telling him is that they had particular separate refund and have done policies for their websites. So that is what it is. So basically what I'm doing here is that I'm simply giving my getting a suggestion after checking his website. I'm simply giving a suggestion to him based on my previous experience. So simply so basically it's a, it's a kind of giving values to the clients. So basically great scientists and you have been already helping. And also I'm asking how, how you are going to have we are going to proceed with the project. He sent me these tabs like and potential graph. Okay, sounds good. And also local time. Wade through our through minus rates. Okay, that's fine, that's fine. Just discussing and faster than us, okay, and also predict a lot. So that's how it works. So that's, that's the kind of example for the client. And let me show you another one. So it's, it's, it's, it's actually one year ago. So it's a data and they predict, I guess so let me, let me check it. So yeah, it's a data IT project. And as you can see here, how many proposals that are 61 proposal submitted. But the client has hired me and this is the description urgent project. And just follow the attached guide and enter that data. Out of $50 for project less than a dollar. So work, the client has mentioned everything and attach the Excel sheet as well. So actually, my proposal is something like so basically I started. So basically I have checked your, so these my proposal, actually I have taught you the proposal model. That's very good professional, professional, professional proposal template earlier. So you have to follow that. So actually these old, old predicted proposers of mine, so just showing you. So I have checked you. This document, and I am ready to start instantly. And I'm again mentioning able to start right now looking for to argue with generic acid. And so that's how it's like. That's that's how it is under the client has messaged me. The first message. Can you do immediately? So actually here I am. I've mentioned his name. Hi. Hey, yours. Yes, I can study in stele and check instructional. Let me confirm your let me know your questions as you are one of three candidates. So basically you are one of three candidates. So he actually, he has chosen three glare. He had three freelancers in mind. He and he wants to choose only one. And sure do I need to fill the fall of first column width us know based I am disregard the project. And I'm asking whether if my understanding is correct or not. Yes. Okay. And he confirm how to then search online. We are upset. Can you send me it's access details. So I'm asking how to get the data. And he's asking, can you do up to eight hours of work today? And also, i'm I'm checking confirming the rows. You see the hallway? Yes. Sure. I can spend eight hours today and finish to finish that off. So as soon as I confirm that I can do eight of us, he simply allowed me the project and also actually, he may I make sure I am understanding the project, recommends correctly this step. And that's how it was and he showed me their details. And also and that's that's how that's how it goes. The communications. Yeah. And yeah, some kind of ion I'm just confirming. I check a couple of them and they are correct. So i is a kind of sample work. I gave gave it to him. So basically to make sure I am We both on the same page and that's how it works. And after confirming these samples are correct, I accept the project and start working on this. So that's how you have to maintain the client communication. So actually what you have to do is you have to start the communication. Somebody, when a client is speak with you. Hi, FirstName. Thank you for your message and you have to respond to his question. And also what you do is you have to make the clients speak. And also, as I, as I mentioned here, you have to follow these kind of step. So you have to listen to the client, analyze the problem and make sure it is within the budget. And you have to finally go ahead and present your solution or suggestion. So this, this kind of methodology helps you to overcome miscommunication with the clients. And also the examples I show here are the laws are like short kinase, short projects. So that means they are completed within two days or three days. So if you're working on a project which is longer than 15 days or within its own, it will take a kind of one month. What you have to do is do you have to also send some kind of updates to the client? So you can say you might send weekly updates to the client or maybe you can send updates within three days. Or actually it's up to you and your clients based on the width, based on what you are discussing during the communication. So that also helps and make sure you watch the clients and you are on the same page and it helps you to complete the project successfully. So layer in the next section I will be talking about how you can get a exceed the client expectation and get five-star reviews. And also I will be also guiding, guiding about how you can retain your clients, which is very important as well. So thank you. 12. Secrets to 5* Reviews and Client Retention: Guys, so we are at the final section of the course. So this is about seculars to five-star reviews and client retention. So that means how you can get good five-star reviews from your clients and also how you can retain your clients for a long time. So you don't need to chase nuclides every single day. So actually the seconds I mentioned, it actually it started with the communication because when the client leave a review for you communication, it's also a metric which is given for the clients to rate. So that means the second is to the five-star reviews. Start with the communication. So you have to start your communication with the client in a very professional way. So actually you have to be straightforward and open from the beginning. So that means you don't need a primer on our premise and you have to set realistic expectations and you need to, you need a transparent about the pricing. And also you have to make sure the clear. You have to provide clear timeline and shadow. So like how much how long it will take and when you lease up, submitting their draft revisions, et cetera. And you have to stay professional from beginning to end. That means the first message the client sent and also the last message you are after finishing the project. So you only get all because you only get only want one chance to make the first impression with the client and you need to make sure the copies proofread. So actually, if you're working as a copywriter or somebody like, you have to make sure that's preferred. But here what you're going to write I can mention is even if you are sending a single message, the first message to the client, you have to make sure it doesn't have any spelling errors as it if it has any spelling errors, then it creates a bad impression for the client. And also, a very important thing is you don't need to argue with the client. Actually, if, if the, if you and the client has different views, what you can do is you can simply explain the client what you are trying to say. And you can actually you have to wait for their response to go ahead with the project. Even, even you actually, you have you have to follow their instructions only. And you need to demonstrate care and consistent. And consistency. Being consistent is the key. And when it comes to communications, you have to keep up Glenn's updated about the projects. Suppose if you're working on a particular disease like maybe one month long, you have to provide updates about the clients, what you are doing, what you, what you have, what you have do, what you're doing now, and what you have already done. And here is the draft, so something like that. And also you have to get back to clients to any questions within one business day. So actually, but if you are starting out and you don't have any clients, it is best to install the mobile apps, such as the Upwork also provides Upwork Freelancer. Those provides a mobile app. You have to install that in your mobile. So when somebody, some clients message do offer some potential clients message, send a message to you. You can get them on the mobile and be able to respond as soon as possible. So if you, if you provide a very good response rate, clients, there's a high chance you will get hired. And also it will helps with getting the five-star reviews as well. Also, you have to ask for the feedback after each revision. For example, if you are working on a graphic design or website isn't projects, you can ask for the feedback from the clients and make sure he likes the work and you and clients be we're all on the same page and make sure you guarantee your work. So basically, some saudis actually relates a graphic designer or some other kind of design work. So you can provide as many as revision needed. So basically if you are starting out, is, if you are starting out, you can provide as many as privileged, as many as remissions as needed to get the five-star reviews. But if you have a lot of clients and if you have got a lot of leaves, you don't need to provide as many as Refresh, refresh and revisions. You can simply mentioned, you're going to use will provide only like one or two revisions when when communicating with the client. And also you don't need to rush them or force them onto ideas. So basically you how you can, actually, you can suggest the ideas, but you cannot just force them to follow you ideas. So that's what I want to say. And the final choice is theirs. So that is the thing. So you can shut I say I share your experience and ideas with them, but they are the people to make the final choice. And based on the final choice, you have to work on the project. And following these things almost guarantee you will get a positive five-star reviews for sure. And even if you work very well, some clients may put a bad review for your work. So if you receive a bad review, then it will be a huge nightmare for your freelancing profile. So because it will definitely affect and other potential clients you will be getting in the future, can check your reviews and if there's a bad review. And they might not be high you, so what you have to do is if you get a bad review, you have to reach out to the client as soon as possible and try to understand and try to fix the situations, like what kind of things they need. And if you can't fix that situation and you can do it with no additional charge. So basically, if you can fix it and make them happy with no additional charge, they can hopefully, this will hopefully encourage them to update their review and this kind of. So if they updated the review, the other potential clients will be able to see that that you have successfully addressed and a result of problem. So which adds to your credibility. So that's how it works. So basically, even if you received a battery really bad review, you don't need to just sit back and worry. You can simply reach out to the client, see if you can fix the situation. If you can simply fix it with no additional charge and it will simply encourage them to update their review. And it, it, it helped with increase in .. or how you should retain your freelance clients or customers. So what you can do is you have to request feedback on every project you do for them. And then only you can understand their recommends and make sure they're happy with the work and they have pursued what they actually want it. And also you got your, you, you will be there to resolve problems. Suppose you are designing a website and you have all the complete website design. But after, like, after the project is completed, the client come a little after five days, the client is coming to you saying that some kind of pages not working on the website. So what you have to do is you have to be there to resolve that problem and it helps you to build credibility and good the thought on the client. So, so what, what, what, what, what, what what it will do is that if the client is going to have some kind of new website design or new page designed in the future. He will remind you and come back to you and give you the project. And also you have to be honest throughout the project and that you have to learn from your mistakes. And you also have the meet the deadlines. And also you have to be available with a good communication with the client.
