1. Class Introduction: Hi. Welcome to this skill share class on how to capture stunning travel memories with just your phone. I am Abyss, passionate traveler and photographer. Recently, I visited Kenya, I wonder with a tour group, and it was incredible from breathtaking landscape to beautiful moments we shared as a group. I realize that capturing these memories is more than just taking pictures. It's about telling a story. This class for anyone who loves to travel, I'll document their experiences in a meaningful way. Whether you're a beginner or someone who has been snapping photos on your phone for years. How to optimize your phone settings for stunning travel photos. Composition tricks to make your short stand out. And of course, a quick editing hack on how to make your photos look professional. Let's dive in. 2. Essentials for Amazing Travel Photos: Before we start snapping, let's talk about the basics settings and lighting tips. Phone setup tips. First, make sure your phone is ready to go. Clean the lens. Trust me, a quick wipe will make a huge difference in clarity. Turn on grids in camera settings. This will help using the rule of Tds. If a phone has HDL, please enable it. This will help you maintain highlight and shadow so you can have good details to work with. Light can make or break a photo. For the best natural light, shoot during golden hour. That's what they say. But guess what? For the best natural light, shoot when your pictures look good. In midday afternoon, you would have to deal with hh sun coming from the top of your head, but is not good enough for pictures. Or, guess what? You can find shade. You can get a little pictures midday afternoon. You can. It's very possible, find a way to block the sun from hitting the person's face because you don't want to have dark circles under the eyes. It's not really flattering for pictures. Sure you find a shed to help you block that house. To my best advice is that find shade. If you can't find shade, find a way to create your shade. You can use the turbos, can use anything around, cast shade on the person, so the face can be evening lit, and you don't have issues with the pictures. 3. Compostion Rules: Now that your phone is ready, let's talk about how to compose eye catching photos. One of my favorite techniques is the rule of Toads. Use those grid lines. For example, your screen is into they like one, two, Theory. Place your subject or one of the lines here or here. Then make the subject small and make the subject big. That is rule of thods. Use those grid lines. Don't be afraid to experiment with angles and your point of view. Don't be afraid. You can shoot from top, from low, from side, have fun doing it. So you can use your legs to zoom in and zoom out. You can go down, you can go up, you can go from the side. Just take pictures from different point of view. Also your angles, try different angles like 45 degrees, something around here, for 12 degree, something from the front here, something from the back. Just have fun using your angles and perspective. Your first exercise, try and take this type of pictures. One is landscape. Take pictures in landscape mode. Also take some in portrait mode. Then try to do close off shots, white shots and midrange shots. Try that out, and let's see what you get. Remember to share them in the class so I can see how we can both have fun exploring and also taking pictures of our travel trips. 4. Edit Your Photos: You have taken amazing pictures. Now it's time for us to make it shine. Editing is that extra sauce you use and your photos to make them pop. Litum has a free version and also a paid version. But guess what? The fee version is good enough for you to use. Lituma snaps, these are two apps you can easily get and just use the f versions. Now, let me show you a quick demonstration on how to edit, make your photos pop and give it that extra shine. So the first thing is that you open Lightroom mobile for the album you want to work on. I already have my album laid out in my photo gallery that I'll pick on Wanda. Click on an image. And what is that? I will just click one dot down here. Yes, you can see there's Edie Dot, I click on light. And how do contrast to it. Contrast it the middle point between light and shadow, so you try to pull it together in. This is good. My highlights as you can see, this is the highlights for the sky, highlight to make the white part really bright. So I'll just take it down a little bit like this here. Then there the shadows, p it out a little bit, for the side here. This is the side that has shadows. No my white think white is good. And I book it like this. Naness color. The color is good from cameras. I could add vibrant. So vibrance is right now at 45, and I'm good. So that's what I would do it. This is a basic way of editing for me, and I'm good. You can add details you want to sharpening. And you're good. That's all. Just come over here, click on it, and you save a copy to device. That's one quick way of editing. Let me take up the picture and show you how I would do it. Let me just pick. This go to light. Is a bit down so you can see it's really nice. Come to contrast it a bit. Lo highlight. I think I'll put some highlight on it. Shadows. Okay, I think I'm good with this right here. This nice color. Is nice, then bribings Make the pictures cop. And other things. But these are just basic editing tips. You should know. Fibers is for colors. So fibans is more forgiving than saturation. So fibers is a good one. Saturation should come last if you want more colors. But for me, I will just leave it on vibrant. So this is perfect for me and I'm good. Now, the same settings is what is used for lightroom mobile and also snaps it. A lot of just be simple and good and put to go, go over here, and you save it to rise. This is a quick editing tip on how to use the free mobile lightroom. Click on the image and hold it down, use it before, after. And this is perfect.
