1. Intro: A Saturday morning with good energy, we're
drinking coffee. Perfect for the electrodes
because we're about to get into it in today's video, I'm going to show you guys
on the behind the scenes of how I organized my
school and personal work, different business ideas,
YouTube and even my website using the circle
app called Notion. I've been using Notion
for more than a year now and it's been
a game changer. This video is not sponsored
by notion, but Notion. If you're watching this and
you want to help you boy, you know where to find me. Jokes aside, has been crazy homeless and has
helped me as a student, but also outside
of my academics. So if you haven't
heard upon Notion, Notion is a three all in
one workspace where you can create anything from nodes
to PDF to calendars. You name it, anything you think of being created and
stored in North Korea. If you want to get
started with notion that link will be in the description
so you can download it. And also following along
through this video, as I explained to her, how I use Notion from us, these videos dedicated how
I use Notion for school. And I'll walk you through
how you can create your own workspace by using
mine assets on board. I will also put my workspace in the
description down below. You can duplicate and then change it up to what's
relevant to you. Also, if this V0 first long, I'll make sure to put
timestamp so you can just skip to what which portion of
the VE wondered what? No.
2. Notion Overview: As you can see, where
in my school dashboard, this is the notion and my
workspaces both HobbyDP. Before we get into deep
of this workspace, I wanted to go over some
other workspaces I use Notion for over the left panel. As you can see, there
are different workspaces beat for different purposes. So if we look at BTC or studios, for example, BT zeros Studios, is it my creative
studio where we provide individuals
and brands with different services from
these new marketing to different strategy
implemented. I use Notion to store most of the documents
for this business. And other thing emotion
about is how you can easily share your
page with a link. So recently, when did the marketing element for
accompany called the Unfair? Unfair is a flat booking up and we're in charge of
the branding elements. And I'll use Notion to store all the documents in one
place and then share the page to the client so they can download it
anytime they want to. Emotion actually
makes the process a lot easier and friendly. So that's that. And
moving on and editing I use Notion for is my website. Thus you can see it has
all the information and quick links to my
socials and not work. That's very handy. Another thing I use Notion
for is my minimum dashboard. This page is like a
personal page where victimized goals and also store most of my
backup documents. This is where the
most important page is probably my YouTube
project tracker. This is where most of the
YouTube process happens. From pre-production
to scrape providing, to postproduction. It makes everything easy
and simple to track, which I really
like moving all we have most fluids and
media and communications. These are similar to
the previous pages of PT students and also
my YouTube project, better, they're just
combined the one. But Maslow's was a project
my friends tonight, I wanted to start as
a class experience to review restaurants,
food and drinks. We have a notion page to store most of the documents
in one place. Media and communications
is also the same. Media communications is a
student committee where we were in charge of the
school's social medias. We create fun and
engaging content through the schools
Instagram and TikTok. And we use Notion
to store most of the documents and find content. If you're interested
in checking these out, I'll put the link
in the description. But right now, we're gonna
go into IBD keyword space.
3. Main Page: I'm going back into
my IBP workspace. This is basically
how I use Notion as an IV stood beside notion
being easy to use. What I like about it is
how you can customize it using pictures,
emojis, and whatnot. So let's get into this data a little bit because
the style is important. I'm not the most
organized person, but if I can add a little bit of creativity and
aesthetic Tomorrow, organization and planning
in a mixed experience, a lot more fun and allows
me to use it every day. Starting from the
top. As you can see, we haven't covered this is an Ethiopian art. It
looks pretty cool. I like it and it kind
of gives it a good luck if you following me
along and you want to change the cover and you
can just click here. It is a bunch of Congress to choose from based
on your preference. But also you can upload a
picture from your doctrines. Again, you can choose
any image you want, any upload picture, which
kind of gives them. Moving on. You can see that there's a quote under
the name of the page. One thing I added was a quote inside jokes that resonance
with the purpose of the page. In this case, it
goes dp, here we go. Don't do any dirty. This was one of the
quotes that at one myself when I
started the D Peter, as we go along and we progress
into different pages, you'll see how I use, of course, to add a little bit of
spice tomorrow workspace. Below the quote, I
have two widgets. I think there are two
third-party apps. Notion uses to create widgets, fluids declare or from a
third-party called indemnify upward the link in
the description below, it's completely free. In this case, I
have two widgets. I have a clock on the left
and cut down on the right. Let's look up here because
I use motion a lot and it's relevant to have a go up there and keep track of time. But the content is a preference. My friends are not
a big fan of it because it stresses you out. But I have a countdown
from my IP 2022 exams. As of now, we have four
months in one week to go. And it gives you
a quick reminder of how far the big day is. Below the widgets,
I have three links. These are quick access links
to what I use every day. I have Google Drive, manage bag in my calendar, there are some links that are relevant to me what
I use every day, but if you want to, I do own. You can just put the
webpages inputs. So every time we think it
will just start with utility, let's say you want to add a
new webpage, for example, for in my case, I'll add
my website, website. Then you can just highlight the text and add a link to it. So https.com, this takes is now directed to your website that you put on. Every time you click it, it directs you enter your
website that you put on. I don't need this website and rigorous solid with
a little for now. But even if you want
to add in these links, you can just go up
there using the ROP. It will allow you to change the link to whatever you want. The classes section is
classified into two in my live classes on the left and my standard level classes
on the right edition. And I also have my
IP core classes such as extended essay UK
and cats on the left. And my university
application stage. Right? Before I go into how I use these pages
for each of my classes, let's go over the main
page first, finish off, and then come back and
look at each classes. Moving on, we have the schedule. This was very useful during online school to planet today and seeing what
time it blocked. But I don't use it right now because we're back on campus. If you want to use
this schedule, you can change up
the classes you take by using these three dots. Then you can also color coded
based on your preference. Next, we have a table that
says test to be done. This table serves
as a to-do list. So you can see here on
my upcoming deadlines, tasks, exams that I need to meet an aid
to the already off. But I use it is for example, let's say I had a
physics test on Monday. So you write Physics tests, test, and then you can
categorize based on your class. This is very essential. And I'll show you guys why
that is important in a minute. But you can just set
up the deadline, in this case,
output from Monday. Another thing I like
about the tables is how you can sort of
based on your preference. In this case, as you can see, most of my nearest
deadlines are on top, while the furthest ones
are down at the bottom. You can see here you
can put useful links. For example, you can
put kinda Academy. If you want to reverse
kinda academy or YouTube. You can put links
to each section. So it will just direct you to the webpage
you put them on. Besides putting useful links, you can also mentioned a
payment that you have a notion. For example, for physics, I like to put all of
my revision notes and pass in one page so
it's easy to access. You can also put a shortcut
to that page here. I'll show you guys the past
papers paid in a minute. But in this case, if I wanted to redirect
the link into that page, I can just mention
the page here at physics tests and
revision papers. And now my click this link, it just directs
me into that pit, will come into this
page in a bit. Once we finish
diabetes main page, you can use it as long as
the category that added into this table is what type
of task that was. Four. In this case, if it's
an exam quiz deadline, that you can just
categorize it based on these and also your priority. For example, since this
test is on Monday, the priority will be high. And if you want to filter this table based on
high priorities, you can just go up here. I did filter. Then based on priority
that contains high. And this table just
shrinks down to all the tasks that are
just high priorities. This case, I don't
need this good there, so I'll just remove
these are some stuff. How notion helps you
make your life so much easier and easier to use. What's cool about these
tables are sources, how you can change them
to different views. So in this case, we have the
same table as the top one, but we have calendar
view on this one. But also you can take the
views two different types. For example, let's say
we have the calendar, one we have if he
changed it to board, it kind of gives you a glance of what it says for each
subject's looks like. Again, this is based
on your preference. I like the conundrum
because it helps me prioritize which tasks
based on the deadlines. In this case, as you can see, the last two weeks
before the holidays were very hard thing every day
there were something to work on the calendar view
conduct gives me a glass of what my mom or my
week is gonna look like. So going back to the table, the way I like
these little check, checklist is when, anytime
I'm done with that task, take it off and then it
removes it from the table. For example, let's say
the physics test is done on this table. All I have to do is click this little box and
then just disappears. This is because I applied
a filter to do this. If I wanted to
remove this filter, this is what it looks
like without the filter, we have all the
tasks that I've done this year because I deleted the ones that
I did last year. But these are all the things
that I've done this year. But once output of this filter, it gives me the answer of the things that have
to finish and not care about the things
that often already got a tour from my
main pages done. The T three ways, how I use Notion for
each of my class.
4. Workspace 1 Math: So let's start with mathematics. Again. We start off with a joke that kind of resonates
with the class. Then I'll put a
bookmark to one of the most useful resources out
there, religion, religion. It just gives me a
quick access to. Just click here directly
to the webpage. Then going down, I kinda have
the board view of a table, in this case a classified the mathematics contact
into three general, this is an EIS formula, calculates resources
that guide and mind-map. And Dp1 is most of the
quantity that will be covered during the
year one of dp, which is 11th grade. And then the p2 is the content that we
covered during this year. So each paint has its own value. For example, the AR formula booklet page has derivative of religion booklet and also the actual formula booklet from the IB that keeps
it in one place. And then I can just download
it every time or one for r can just call through
it while it's here. Same thing with resources. I have most of the resources
that are found on night. I just pick them alone place and then they're easy to access. Same thing with the guy
that gives me a version of the actual IB guide
from ibm.com. Only one place anytime
we want to access them. In terms of the content
that we learned at school. For example, complex numbers
through the resources and notes that are found
online or from our teacher. Only one phase or
anytime I want to access them going
back into the mat, if I shall page. Next, we have a table. This is the same tasks to be done table from
the main page, but this time it's only
filtered for maths classes. The importance of having the classification of
classes in the API is to allow us to have
a table here that only resonates to the
class that we have here. Study guide that I found online, uploaded here for
easy access as well. I can just go through it
toward what you need. I want to cover. And it's just they're
very helpful.
5. Workspace 2 Physics: Moving on to my other classes, Let's look over physics. It's kind of similar. We start off with a
quote that CSS to papers equals laughs Papers. Anyone who takes Abby physics non-standard past
papers and love savers. So here I have a code that kind of resonates with the class. In here. I didn't put any resources because our teacher
kindly made us a website where he has most of the resources
that we can use. But here I have a link
to the Zoom link, which was useful when
we had online school. And also through his planner. Again, in terms of content, I classified each group
into a general Dp1 and Db2. General is all the guides,
the formula booklets, the definitions
that I've reports, and TP1 is most of
the quantities. They'll be covered last
year in DP year one. And DP two is most of the content that we
covered this year. What I have in each
phase recently with the 9.3, assign an HLC. For each page, I have the formative only one
place with the acid. It can allow me to use
it anytime I want. One thing that's different
in physics and mathematics, physics tests and
revision papers. So this is where I keep
most of the past papers and revision papers for
physics, for example, we've just finished grid tool self-styled one
before topic nine, I collected most
of the revision in past papers from past
years for this topic. And it helps me to
put all in one place and ready when I need
to reverse this topic.
6. Workspace 3 Economics: Moving on to my last higher-level
class, it's economics. Again, this is kind of similar
to the past to classes, or start off with an inside
jokes about economics. And then I moved on
the same complaint. That's my other
classes to this column is a general one with
the economics guidance. So Dp1 is most of the content recovered in year one and D P2 is most of them wants
to recover in the year two. The way I use Notion
for economics is a bit different
to other classes. For example, let's look
at microeconomics. So to start off our conduct, put the start date of macroeconomics units and
the word day we finished. And then upward attack
of number three because that's the syllabus, a number and the column
is Dp1 because we started this unit in 11th grade. I kind of put a useful
video dot kinda summarize the whole
unit into 30 minutes. Anytime I wonder
visit this unit, I've been displayed
the video from here and avoid any distractions, consume most of my nodes are in a question and answer format. For example, if we look at the second one, water leakages, it kinda ask you the
question and you'll be able to answer to check if you
answered it right or wrong. You can just click
this toggle feature and then it gives you a summary of what liquids is R. This is done through
or feature called double. This is easy to make. You just have to click
slash and Tobel. And the kind of brings
up a takes to write on. For example, What's up YouTube. If you click this
button right here, it gives you a blank space
to write your answers on. So in this case,
let's just write JO and then you can
just close this again, becomes an answer, a question. Anytime you want to review this, you can just ask
What's up YouTube and click this feature
and see the answer. This will be helpful
when you want to study Muslims the content, or you want to put it to other
flashcard apps like Anki, which I'll be covering
in a future video.
7. Workspace 4 IB core: The last portion of the video, how I use Notion for IP core and union applications just showed you guys right now
with the IV chord, you kinda see the similar
concept over here. We started off with a quote and then classified into four, into general, which is most of the resources that are
used for all three. And then we have
an extended essay, which I used to write my
cryptography extended essay, and all the resources are
collected in the same applies to T, Okay? And cuts.
8. Workspace 5 University Work: The way I use Notion for university work is to
collect most of the Yours is for the university and also keeping me on track of the
tasks that I need to finish. For example, when I look at UK, I put all the universities
that I'm interested in and then put most of the
information that I need. For example, status if I'm
gonna be applying or not. Another category output
is the location. Location is very important. And then the ID requirement in order to be eligible
for the university, if there's any requirements for the HDL subjects that
you need to meet or any subject specific
environments tuition if they require any personal statement or interview. And the deadlock.
9. Outro: That was mostly a tour of how I use Notion as an IV student. If you stayed this, I
really appreciate you for taking the time
to watch this video and I hope you enjoy it and
find it somewhat helpful if you did matrix to give it a thumbs up shape
with your friends, subscribe and leave a
comment until next time. Peace.
