About This Class

I want to help you sell your digital art, including photos, graphics and vectors.

When I started my online T-shirt business 5+ years ago, I didn't know where to start, so I just uploaded to every POD site I could find. At the end of the day, I spent a bunch of time on useless sites, but I did find a few good merchants. The same thing with promotion. I tried many things until I finally figured out how to get lasting traffic without ads.

I want to save you the time I wasted by making you an expert on the industry in just 3 hours, with this knowledge and so much more.

You could spend 30+ hours learning the hard way, or you can learn from my experience and get going in the right direction.

Investing time intelligently is the main focus of this course, and pressing play is the first investment.

We’re going to talk about the best places to sell, how to sell intelligently, and how to make uploading (arguably the hardest part of selling your art) fast, easy, and mindless.

Here’s a breakdown of the major concepts:

  • How to monetize

I will tell you all the ways I know to make money with art online, and we will talk in-depth about the biggest two ways: selling stock photography and selling your art on print on demand products. I will even give you spreadsheets comparing the different stock and print on demand options and guide you through the process of uploading your images.

  • How To Market Without Paid Advertising

We will also talk about ways to bring in steady traffic for years to come from search engines, without buying ads. These techniques have helped me sell art everyday for over 4 years.

  • How to master financial success

I will share with you something I call the success formula that breaks down your sales into three components. Then, I will give you tips to maximize your profits by improving each component. We will optimize our stores so they are attractive and communicative, give our viewers ways to connect with us long-term and learn how to create the type of art that will attract lots of sales.

Course Structure

Friends, This is a long course. Jump into exactly what you need, and come back to get the rest when you are ready. Don't worry about taking the course out of order, and don’t worry about taking the whole thing right now.

Introduction Section

  • Taking This Course

I want you to get the most value out of this course as quickly as possible. To help you, I break down the theory and action lessons and let you know where to start if you want to jump right into selling your art or improving your sales.

  • Success Mindstate

How you think will be the determining factor in your success. In this lesson, we talk about the ways of thinking that keep you on the road of success, and how to avoid pitfalls in thinking that will limit your success.

Selling Art Online Concepts

  • Making Money Methods Part 1: Print on Demand

In this two-part lesson, we cover the many ways to make money with your art and art knowledge. In Part 1, we focus only on Print on Demand, going over the 3 ways it can work: through the printer's marketplace, through your own website, and through a 3rd party marketplace. We talk more about POD in the Print on Demand section.

  • Making Money Methods Part 2: Stock Photography and More

In Part 2, we will cover Stock Photography sites as well as more methods to make money with your art online and offline. We talk more about Stock in the Stock Photography section.

  • Types of Artwork

There are so many ways to create art in this amazing technological age. We're going to talk about some of the common types. This may inspire you to create in different ways and to expand what you create to different mediums.

  • Art That Sells

In this lesson, we talk about appealing to both the rational and emotional buyer and go over techniques to make sure the art you make will find a market.

Print on Demand

  • Print on Demand Concepts

In this lesson, you will gain an in-depth understanding of how print on demand works, from concepts and economics to printing methods.

  • Print on Demand Products

The amount and quality of print on demand products has grown exponentially in the last few years. In this lesson, we're going to look at hundreds of awesome things you can sell via print on demand. From leggings to skateboards, and everything in between.

Success Formula, Promotion, Metadata, and more

  • Success Formula

The Success Formula breaks down how much money you will make with your online portfolio. Once we know this formula, we can improve each factor in the formula to become even more financially successful with our artwork. We can also use the formula to predict our success in a variety of situations, and decide which artwork we should be promoting first and foremost.

  • Free Promotion Tools

In this lesson. we are going to talk about techniques and tools to get you more traffic organically. We are focusing on lasting traffic here, so we will review the core technique, then how to expand it.

  • Mastering Metadata

To make our uploading easier, we will prepare a document containing a set of effective metadata, including keywords, descriptions, and title fragments we can use for each image we upload. Once we have our metadata prepared, we will simply copy and paste the data to make uploading fast, easy, and mindless.

  • Keyword Research

In this lesson, I will show you two tools you can use to find and compare keywords. This takes the guesswork out of keywords, allowing you to know exactly what will perform best.

  • Optimizing your Stores

We will create paths of least resistance to help the flow of traffic lead to more of our art. Optimizing your store will not only improve your sales, it'll also improve your chances of being noticed by the site's curators, and blog owners, and other influencers on the Internet.

Perfecting Images

  • Quality Standards and Copyright

We will talk about the quality standards set forth by stock photo sites, and go into the details of copyright. With this knowledge, all of your art will be accepted and your portfolio will stay in good standing.

  • Resizing Images with Automator

Automator is a tool you can use to quickly resize, crop, flip and change the types of your images all at once. We will go over the basics of using Automator to copy and change the size all your images at one time.

Congratulations!

  • You Did It!

FAQ

Do I need to invest money to sell my art online?

Not at all. It's possible to do everything in this course without any monetary investment other than purchasing this course. I never invested money in advertising, instead, I figured out where my traffic was coming from and developed the strategies I will share with you.

Only one of the three POD methods requires your own website, which is the only startup cost you will encounter in selling your artwork. You will need to invest time, and I will show you how to do that wisely. This three-hour course will save you many many hours and headaches when it's time to upload your whole portfolio.

Why am I qualified to teach this Masterclass?

I started my first online t-shirt business while at university for business administration and marketing. Since then, I have sold over 17,000 POD products online, plus a growing number of stock photos. In fact, I have sold something every single day for over 4 years.

To get there, I have tried just about every way to sell my art products and art online. I invested a lot of time and learned out what was and wasn't bringing me sales. Now, I want to share what I have learned to make you lasting success.

I have taught thousands of students in my 5 previous POD-related classes on Skillshare and Udemy. Here are some reviews from one of my previous courses, Start An Online T-Shirt Business at Zero Cost.

State will get you geared towards success and the lessons on the success formula mastering metadata, cured research and free promotion will give you the tools to get there and, most importantly, get excited and enjoy yourself on this journey. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. 3. Success Mindstate: success mind state how you think will be the determining factor in your success. Let's talk about a few concepts that will keep you on track. Mind stains that will make you success. I am a great artist, makes great art and great artists make bad art, too. Sometimes you need to believe that you are a great artist, or at least that you're doing a good job expressing yourself and that your art is worthy to be bought. If you don't believe in your ability, you won't create your best work. This idea needs to be balanced, so you must also accept that great artists make crappy art sometimes. Two. If you're afraid to make art, people don't like you will never grow as an artist and are unlikely to make great art or have lasting success as an artist. This because you'll be so afraid to make anything that doesn't reflect your shaky belief in your art ability that you will only do what you're good at. Instead of learning and progressive. I believe that art doesn't come from you. It comes from source, the creative force in all of the universe, and it is channelled down through you and your creative expressions when you can bring in this force through surrendering your facilities to it while still holding on to enough of your ego to let your skill shine, then you're gonna make your best art Believe number two. I am abundant. I am a prolific artist. Online quantity can be just as important as quality. Believe in your ability to create lots of great art and very little time. When you have this belief, you will start to use every opportunity to create our. If you aren't inspired, you will use the time to upload to the marketplaces. When you are inspired, you'll be driven to create art above all else. I am efficient. I work smart from my arm. Another. You are working efficiently and effectively to make sales. The more targeted time and effort you put in, the more your portfolio will be worked. This applies both to the product. You are creating your art and the work put forward to upload to different sites and market your heart. You shouldn't expect your art to sell just because you click upload. You need to get the right metadata, which we will talk about shared in places people in search engines will find it, which we will also talk about and upload it to asses many sites as you can, which we will indefinitely talk about. Just because it's work doesn't mean it has to seem like work. The spare time that you to vote can be split up between creating art and uploaded art when you don't feel like making art but still want to be productive. The good thing about uploading art is it is so easy after the first few times you'll be able to watch movies and series while you upload, giving you a great excuse to re watch game of Thrones. All right, now that we've talked about some mind states that will bring you success, let's talk about the mind states down will destroy. So you know what type of thinking to avoid my art is worth more than this. One of the moves common ideas I hear from non successful people is an idea that their stock photograph is worth more than a dollar, so they shouldn't sell it on micro stock sites or they're not going to sell it unless they can send a much higher price drop this mind state. There are plenty of great photographers and artists all around the world, and many of them have no problem selling their art for a dollar. You can make something or make nothing. If you don't get the dollars, they will. The whole point of this business model is to sell as many copies as you can't. This means your income stream is much more reliable than hoping for a few big sales each month. Also, we're gonna sell these photos on multiple sites. So these $1.2 dollars are going to be multiplied and end up making you hundreds or even thousands of dollars on your monthly check. Replace. This idea with my art is worthy of many sales, limiting belief Number two. I should sell here and not there. Do this, and not that in the brick and mortar store world. A company would not want another company selling the exact same design on a T shirt. Some people carry this idea over to the online world, where hardly applies. Selling print on demand designs on every site isn't just common practice. It makes the most sense. And Dallas, you will find that on one side, a certain design gets a ton of sales, not another site. It gets not sin goes for stock photography. Replace this idea with more places. I put my art more sales and money. I make limiting belief. Number three. Why is my art not selling? I'm wasting my time. Chances are it will take you a few weeks to a few months to get your first sale of your artwork. For me, it hurt three months to get my first sale with around 30 pieces up on three sites. But within a year I had almost 1000 designs on most promising site. It was making sales every day, a trend that continues today. Four years later, one of my students made his first sale and only 11 days after opening up his friend bubble account. And with some planning, you won't have to wait long either. Replaces idea with good things. Take time and my art portfolio is a good thing. There are many reasons why starting out is the hardest time to make sales. Search engines, marketplaces and customers don't know you yet. You will show up at the bottom of marketplace searches, making it hard to catch a break. But don't worry, we're gonna get you plenty of tips. Toe level, the playing field. In this course, stick to the success Mind state, and you'll soon wake up to sales emails every day. Our guys, we went through the success mind states as well as I looked at the pitfalls that we want to avoid in our thinking. I just have one more tip to give you and that is, could be ready for anything art that you plan to release for stock photography sites only may have a successful run on print on demand sites selling campus prints, which actually make a lot more money and selling on micro stock sites. Try everything and always upto have your art on more products when given the chance to buy print on demand services. 4. Types of Artwork: types of artwork. There are so many ways to create in this amazing technological age, we're going to talk about some of the common ways creators make art. This may inspire you to create in different ways and to expand what you create into different mediums. Photography photography is one of the most popular art forms being sold online today. Thus there are plenty of sites to sell stock photography, as well as plenty of photographers trying to get a slice of the pot. You can make good money as a photographer online, but it may take some know how to be super successful. We're gonna teach you many tips in this course to help you sell. In this crowded market, image manipulations things like collages restoring and repurpose ing public domain images in creating remix or mashup images all fall under image manipulation. Image manipulation is great because all you need is a little bit of photo shop skills. You'll be amazed at how many public domain images are available or other images with licensing that allows them to be remixed. Sold any work with the Creative Commons zero or C C. Zero license you can use in your work. Although the CC zero license states including without limitation commercial purposes, you typically are not allowed to sell public domain images outright because of policies with stock sites and print on demand services. But once you modify a Creative Commons zero image, it's usually find to sell it on all platforms we have included. Some websites in the resource is for this course that you can use to find free images to remix and re purpose. Let's talk about some style of image manipulation and look at some examples. Stylized photographs. Stylised photographs are photos that are manipulated using filters to make them look hand drawn or in a particular style of art. Digital collages. Collages combine multiple artworks, often contrasting into one piece of work. Collages are popular sellers on websites like Society six and Red Boat Restoration and Enhancements. There are plenty of good historic and modern public domain images that you could enhance in photo shop, light room or a similar software. I like to use public domain NASA images in my work, which I enhance, change the colors and then sell on many products patterns. Creating vector and bit Matt patterns is a really exciting creative pursuit. The market isn't saturated as photography because it requires a specialty skill, not that photography. Done. Creating patterns is great because you can sell just the pattern and also use it in your future artwork. Giving you a valuable element to work with patterns can do well on stock sites, but may not translate to every type of product on print on demand sites. Some products that worked really well on like all over printed clothing, but they probably don't work as well on stickers or a standard printed T shirt. Computer generated artwork. Creating our work on the computer does not always mean opening up photo shop. There are a lot of programs that create artwork out of algorithms, data, user input and more. One example of this is fractal art, which I have been creating for a few years now. Fractal art is really beautiful, surprisingly easy to make but difficult to master. Also, it takes a really good computer to render it out in a decent period of time. You can also create computer generated art on a phone or tablet using a variety of applications. Most important thing with a computer generated art piece is being able to save it out at a resolution that is large enough to be useful or sell. This is sometimes difficult, especially with free versions of APS or APS on a tablet or phone. If you're able to create artwork that is greater than 4500 by 4500 pixels, you're good to go for most products and all stock photography sites. But bigger is always better visual painting. Many artists create digital art that looks like it was actually painted using a graphics tablet like there was sold by wacko. Wacko tablets are a lot of fun, and if you've never used one, I suggest you get your hands off one and just play around for a whole day. Another cool thing. If you're not quite a Michelangelo is you can use a blur brush to take a regular photograph and make it look like it was made of brushstrokes. Traditional two D artwork. If you create artwork on a campus or other rectangle, all you have to do is take a good picture of it to sell online. This course will open up a Pandora's box of income streams, and you will still have your original artwork to keep, sell or give to your mother. If you create something like pottery, you may still find some money selling pictures of your creation online. With a picture like that, it's all about composition. Then you can still sell the physical potter. We don't focus on selling physical products in this course, but we will help you sell the pictures. Typographic art. Well, I can't talk about every form of art. Typographic art is something that is worth your attention. You can make type art and pretty much any application. You confined free typefaces using sites like bots, squirrel and bond spacedotcom. Using a vector programs like Adobe Illustrator really opens up the possibilities of type and with the right type face. Most of the work is already done. Type designs are great for selling on T shirts, stickers and other print on demand products. Because you can make them quickly and with the right words, they can go viral and make you money for a long time to come. You can put an image in text to in photo shop or illustrator for an easy, viable clothing design. It doesn't take a lot of time or skills to make a basic type design, but you can also create a masterpiece of text vector art. Vector art is created in Adobe Illustrator CorelDraw or a similar program and allows for infinite quality of images because the information is stored in equations instead of a grid of square pixels. Working with vector art means you're able to render out any size image of your art, which you can then sell on any product. This is really awesome because sometimes even with a really good camera, you can't get the resolution to cover a product like a blanket. You can also sell the actual vector file itself, and most stock photography sites allow you to do this. Although it's usually a bit more complicated than just uploading a J peg, Adobe stock and shutter stock have recently made it very easy to upload your factors. While some other sides still require you create a preview J peg image and sometimes package your vector and previews into a zip thought. I think that in the future, other stock photography sites will follow suit and make it easy for you to just upload the vector file itself, and they will handle the rest vector packs. It's very popular to create packs or sets of vector artwork, which provide more value to the downloader as they only have to buy one thing. Creating a successful vector pack can make you a lot of money. Vector packs requires some time and skilled create, but can be a long term asset and make you reliable income for years to come. And finally, video. You know this course isn't about video video is something great to think about if you're already putting your art stock photo sites, Video sells for much more dinero in photographs on stock sites, and it's a less saturated market, at least for now. 5. Art that Sells: art that sells your artwork will be successful for different reasons on stock photography sites and print on demand. Marketplace stock images cell for their usefulness products on print under man sites. So because they make people happy where they display something people want to show up on their bodies or in their homes, you can think of it like this. Stock image sites appealed to the logical buyer. They have a use or utility, so they sell print on demand products, appeal to the emotional buyer. The customer gets excited and starts to imagine themselves wearing or displaying this product. They get attached to the feeling or the idea of the item, and they want it more than they want their money, so they buy it. It's hard to say what will be the next big hit on the Internet, but I will share with you what I have learned and seemed to be successful In my five years of selling art on mine, you may be taking this course to sell the artwork and photos that you already have. That's fine. These tips will still help you when you're coming up with ideas for your next creation here are a few tests to help you predict whether your art will sell. The more of these questions you can say yes to. More likely, your artwork is going to be a money maker. Would you buy it? Would somebody that you know by it doesn't have a use case in applications? Are the elements high quality? Does it make you feel a positive emotion? Is the composition well rounded and balanced topics that sell passionate niches? A passionate Mitch is a group of people with similar interests that are very excited about a certain idea or subject. There are many passionate niches on the Internet today, and chances are you are part of one. You can express your own passion creating art that people in your niche love emerging market trends. Emerging trends in business always offer a big market that is not saturated trends such as crypto currency, the latest application in the APP store. The latest developments in science, health care, music, industry, sports, computers and mawr all offer the opportunity to serve a growing market that has just been established well. Order stock photography needs, like pictures of a doctor, may be readily served trends in business will always offer an opportunity for new photographers to become the top of a search term. And companies will be continuing to dump lots of money into for years to come, trending topics just like market trends. There's a lot of money to be made with the new hot ideas floating around this campaign shape in many ways the simplest being creating designs that reflect a new or novel idea or react to a current trend in culture, politics, movies, music and more. A good way to do this is to use the forms of art that you'd like to create, whether it be painting patterns for anything else to create a piece about something super trendy. For example, making a painting of the Iron Throne trendy are types playing around with trendy forms of art can help you develop your skills. In digital art, trends often represent newly discovered ways to make our or new technology like glitch art , so they are great to learn from. If you see something you like buying some tutorials on YouTube or courses if they exist, are guys have some secret weapons you can use to get all kinds of sales with your artwork. The 1st 1 is crossing niches. When you cross niches, you're combining two super passionate niches into one super buyable design. This idea is very powerful if you can combine to niches that both have a lot of interested viewers. But maybe saturated by themselves, you get a new niche with double the passion and little to no competition, location or bend base designs, making a shirt or similar product that reflects a current event that people feel strongly about get you some sales in the short term. If you want to make some money and have the time to spare, making a design like this could be profitable. And it can also be very easy to target your audience. Using Facebook as if you choose to take this route, for example, you can target people who like a page related to the subject or even checked into a location that the design is about. The design also has an opportunity to go viral on Pinterest or read it like everything else . If this idea excites you, do it. If not, don't selling concepts. Let's look further into the two major reasons people will buy. You are usefulness and emotion. Usefulness. Useful artwork fulfills the needs of the buyer. Whether this is stock photography that shows people doing something that could be used in a variety of advertisements or stickers that allow users to stylishly label their drawers. Utility will always sell. With steady sales comes reliable competition, so it's good to research before investing time into content. We're a topic that is already crowded with high quality content. If you find this is the case, change it a little bit and make it useful in a different way than the competition. If you're making something like vector art, you could also add usefulness and value by packaging these things together into a vector pack to get ahead of the competition. You could also focus on the new technology and trends where you'll have more of an underserved market will find more usefulness in your work. I want to share a few ideas from shutter stock On what youthfulness means to their buyers. They say that buyers are looking for images that show authenticity, images that show cultural diversity and images that show local culture. If you live outside the Western world, it's super easy to find culture that other people might find valuable or may not be able to find on their own, go out in the street and capture some authentic people living their daily life or expressing themselves in ways which are unique to that culture. Buyers also are looking for distinct variations from the same shoot. For example, if you have a photograph of the subject looking head on and another photograph of the subject looking to the side, it's more likely that the buyer will find something that they want. Also variations of the same shoot with same subjects. Wearing the same clothes is easier for the companies to put into things like brochures where it looks like they did a photo shoot with this person, and this person is directly interacting with their product or service. Buyers are also looking for thoughtful room for text, so keep that in mind for photography shoots. Sometimes if you have a subject over here and there's plenty of room and maybe a blank background to put text, it may be more useful for the buyer, and buyers are also looking for images they can't find anywhere else. The example that shutter side gave was a buyer that was looking for pictures of sewer sludge. You might not think to upload pictures of sewer Sodje or something else random, but certain industries have used for that. So if you see a good shot, it's well composed. No matter what the subject is, you might want to take a picture. Now that we've covered usefulness, let's look at emotion. The most powerful products and stock photography evoke emotion in photographs. Faces that show authentic emotion are the best selling products. Products that are related subjects and ideas that people identify with create strong emotional responses. Color and form can also create emotional reactions in a new way by tapping into the perceptions of the brain. So can playing off current art trends, which is playing off associations that the brain has and other emotional reactions that the brain has had two things it has previously seen. Just as music evolves and what sounds good is constantly evolving and changing and also different from culture to culture, so does art. What is interesting or emotion evoking now changes what is interesting and emotion provoking tomorrow. Here are some ideas for provoking emotion. The biggest and best idea is basis. We react to emotions on faces. We've been doing it since a child. We are the linguists when it comes to reading other people's emotions, consciously and subconsciously, images with a genuine smile will always sell better than images where the person is like this, or they have a fake smile. So if you're shooting, get your subject worked up happy and in a genuine state to get the most valuable food nostalgia ideas that bring a person back to fond memories, Childhood will always be very powerful. And remember the Seaver weapon of combining niches. You can combine nostalgia with current trends to make designs that are unique and drive sales like a magnet contrasting and comparison. You could do this for trends as well as for art styles relation. When your design relates to something that evokes emotion like a song, you get all the emotional benefit that the consumer already has for that thing. In fact, designs that are related to trending topics or TV shows or anything like that are some of the top selling designs on print on demand sites. Just be careful with copyright politics. Politics always evoke emotion, incredible detail in depth If you can get lost in an image, then you can fall in love with it. Extremes. Take the mine on a ride to the wild side and finally, the classics. Sometimes art is just good. In order for good are to sell. It has to mean something to someone. What good art is subjective. I think that good art is something that creates a feeling within someone that they enjoy or think is important. Of course, the market is a strange thing. A piece of art capitalizing on a trend or popular niche may sell more than true masterpiece will. That's just the world that we live in today. Still, I believe that good art does so, and by creating good art, you can build a portfolio and reputation for yourself that will get you sales and fans for years to come. Good photographs. If you're a photographer, the same concept applies. Useful photos will sell more than photos that are artistic but have little applications. Still, good photos could build your portfolio and will make you some money. Both good art and good photographs would do well on print on demand sites. Those stock photography sites often favor usefulness. Finding what sells usually stock photography and print on demand sites show the top sellers first. When you search for a turn to see what's selling, simply search the term and see what comes up. Seeing what is selling will give you insight into how you can make your own art more Bible . You can also find underserved. Niche is emerging trends and trendy topics this way. If there aren't many results in the results or low quality, you can quickly dominate brand partner programs. Red Bubble has now partnered with many different shows, and movies to allow you to create van are without worrying about having it removed. This gives you access to the fans of each of these shows and brands and may get the rest of your portfolio noticed. A swell 6. Making Money Methods Part 1: Print on Demand: money making methods. Let's talk about all the ways to make money with your art. There are many ways to make money with your art and art knowledge online in this lesson that will talk in depth about print on the man. There are three general ways to make money with your art. You can sell product. You can sell your rights where you can sell your knowledge or information about your art and other people's are. Let's look at techniques that use all three of these methods. The biggest, coolest and best way, in my opinion, to make money with your art is print on demand. There are three ways print on demand can work. You can't be selling art on somebody else's website or on your own website or on a website that is neither yours nor the printers. Let's look at all three first of print on demand, with no personal website required. Print on the man is a type of drop shipping for customized products. Print on demand websites allow you to upload as much art as you want, all for free. The company's would then use your art to generate mock ups of the products printed with your image. When a product gets sold, you'll get a percentage of the sales price. Usually print on demand sites allow anybody to upload. This makes it very easy for anyone to start selling their artwork right away. And this also means that there's a lot of competition selling at least some, if not all, of your portfolio. I'm print on demand sites is a no brainer. The big question with print on demand is, where do you want to invest your time? We're gonna talk more about many different platforms for your print on demand storefront, and I'm gonna give you a handy spreadsheet to compare them. When making your decision. I recommend starting here, even if you only planned on selling your art on stock photography sites. Sign up for a least three of the websites in the spreadsheet and start uploading a few products, upload the same images on every site and see what happens when things start happening. You know where to invest your time. If I had to recommend one site, it would be red Bow. But students tell me all the time that other sites work better for that, so to see what works for you. Advantages. No inventory required. You don't have to deal with customers, orders or literally anything except uploading and promoting your art. It's free to set up in most cases and already optimized for search engines. You don't have to deal with hosting, buying a domain, setting up, updating your WordPress, etcetera, etcetera. You'll get automatic payments monthly in most cases, and the money will come practically forever. After uploading art just one time, you still own the rights your arts. You can sell it other places, including other print on demand sites and stock photography sites. Disadvantages include lower profits in some other options, limited customization of the artist profile and almost no customization of the actual product sales page. Sometimes there's limited ability to set the price of products and often high prices for the products themselves. Also, less established companies may go under. That's why I made this spreadsheet so you don't go with a company like screen now. Screened at one point was a well respected and good print on demand service. I had lots of shirts up there and actually made close to $1000 selling on screen. But one day the company just went poof. They updated their website, completely changed our platform and really screwed over a bunch of artists out of their money. Now I got lucky and just cashed out right before this happened. But a lot of people didn't get so lucky. Lost a lot of money on screen. I don't want that to happen to you. So I did a lot of research when picking the sites to put on a spreadsheet print on demand with a personal website required. If you like the idea of print on the man but want more control when it comes to your storefront and sales pages, there are many sites that allow you to integrate your own website with their print on demand service. These services let you put up their product mock ups on your own website. If you don't have a website, you can make one pretty easily through budget hosting sites. Usually there is little to no coding require. You just goto a hosting site, purchase a domain and hosting and go through the simple steps to set up WordPress, which is the easiest option. In my opinion, if you're not familiar with launching a website. This may seem daunting at first, but there are plenty of resource is available online, and with a positive attitude and some determination, you can have a website up in an afternoon. Let's check out how this works. We've got three parts. First, you need a hosted domain name running WordPress. You could go with name cheap blue hose or one of hundreds of other hosting sites available . A domain name and a year of hosting usually costs around $100 but it can be much cheaper. Always look for coupon codes before purchasing because the hosting business is very competitive and you can usually find a 50% off coupon or even better. Second, you need a plug in that turns your WordPress site into a storefront. I recommend you commers where Congress is free and according to their count powers, 30% of online stores, making it the most popular option because we're commerce is so popular, there are plenty of plug ins for including on the print undermanned websites you wish to sell up. Also, there are a ton of free themes available that work well with blue commers. If you want something other than WordPress and Woo Commerz. You can research the platform supported by the company fulfilling your orders. Another popular platform is Shopify, a premium solution with a price tag of at least $29 per month, plus transaction piece. Though it's not free. Shopify is certainly, Ah, wonderful option and has been well respected and well used for years. Finally, you need a print of the man service that works with the integration you ruptures. I've recommended print full for years and will continue to do so here. You could find a wide variety of products on print, full from all over printed clothing toe art prints. They're one of the few suppliers that offer cut so printed products, which is the highest quality manufacturing method. In my opinion, they have good customer service, high profits and seamless shipping integration with commerce Spread shirt is another great option. Spread shirt works with without your own website, and for some types of printing, they are the only print on demand option. I'm aware these types are flex and flock printing, and they're pretty cool, but they only worked with certain types of vector art. If you want to make a website that just sells T shirts there definitely a good option to check out. Some other options similar to print ful are prettify and T watch. Prettify is very similar to printable, though a little more clunky and with less integration options. He launches a less popular site but has good prices, products and reviews. Unfortunately, it only works with Shopify, and I do not recommend print or UH, because of bad reviews in no real benefits. But I want to mention it here because I've had students asked about it before my recommendations. If you choose the option of making your own website, I highly recommend using print full. They are highly reviewed, known for their fast shipping, and their shirts are bad ass I am wearing one. It is probably three years old and still looks great. Advantages. You can have your own domain name. You can customize the look of your shop with complete control over the buying experience from landing two coupons to check out and beyond, meaning, you can collect customer informations and build an email list, something that is not possible on the other print on demand options disadvantages. You must build a reputation of your site to search engines and customers. It takes money and time. Set up your website to plus some solutions like Shopify have relatively high fees. All right, let's look at the third option hybrid print on demand If you don't want to sell on the crowded marketplaces of print on demand sites, but you don't want to set up your own website, either. There is 1/3 option. You can use principle or a similar service to fulfill orders that you generate on Etsy, Amazon or eBay. If you choose this option, keep in mind that you have to pay the fees of the respective marketplace. Brimful integrates directly with these three services, making it a breeze. I have personally tried this integration for both eBay and Amazon with limited success. I found the fees were more than I made in profit with $1 per item sold or $40 monthly fee on Amazon and a monthly per listing fee on eBay for each item, Etc. Also has these, but they're assessed at the time of sales, so maybe it's a better option. My recommendations, because of the fees that recommend trying this hybrid method only after extensively using regular print on demand marketplaces. Your best selling products made it even better on Amazon, Etsy or eBay. But to avoid wasting time and money, know what sells First, I was excited to sell on Amazon and eBay, but found Amazon a hassle and only a few sales on eBay. Overall, I recommend you skip this method, or maybe do it later. If you really want to get in these marketplaces advantages, you can get into big market places that have new customers. And there's less direct competition compared to print on demand marketplaces populated with the same products with different designs. Disadvantages. There's monthly in Purcell fees. You have a lot of set up time and limited integration possibilities, meaning for eBay. There is principle or nothing. The competition is usually much cheaper as well, so it's a little bit more difficult to sell a 20 year, $30 T shirt when the customer has options for $10 that are kind of similar designs 7. Making Money Methods Part 2: Stock Photography and More: money making methods. All right. Moving on from print on demand. Let's talk about stock image sites. Stock image marketplaces allow you to license your artwork for other people to use. All around the world, you could sell bed map images like photographs, illustrations. You sell vector images and even videos, usually on micro stock sites. You only make a dollar or so for sale, but the money is steady and what you have your shops set up, you're bringing a reliable income. Plus, he retained all rights to your work and are welcome to sell the same art on all of the stock photography sites. And so the same images on print on demand services, the more than money to get your our work out as far as you can. I made a handy spreadsheets. You can quickly compare stock photography sites and see where you want to spend your time. My recommendations, just like with print on demand websites, I recommend getting a small selection of your work up on multiple stock image site and then waiting until something happens from this, you're gonna know where to invest. Most of your time. Upload our your stuff where you start getting the most sales and then upload to the other side's at your leisure. Some advantages are a streamline upload process, which is usually much easier than print on demand services. You also maintain the rights to your arm so you can still sell it. Some disadvantages are a small profit per sale, and there's an upper limit on some sites. Usually you have to be accepted to be a contributor, and you also may face image rejection even if you are an accepted contributor. Also, you gotta deal with paperwork like model releases. If you were selling voters of people or buildings, OK, guys. Now you have an overview of the big methods, which we're gonna talk a lot about in the rest of discourse. But I want to give you a few more ideas about how you can make money with your art, starting with galleries, restaurants and more. If you have a physical copies of your art, you can ask restaurants or bars if they want to show your artwork in exchange for some of the sales, yoga exposure and some money, and no get a percentage of the sales and atmosphere, there are places that do this regularly locating art every month or so. Small non corporate bars and restaurants are usually your best bet. You can also get into local galleries. The idea is essentially the same, and you can, of course, still sell photographs of the art. Get on down there and see who you can talk to about getting your art. Send them some of your art and see if they're interested. My recommendations. Find a place that already does this and try to get on the list. You can usually tell what establishments display local art because there is a price tag on the art they have on their wall advantages. It feels good to get your name out in the community with your art and to contribute to the energy of a place with your creations. Plus, selling your originals clears out some space for making Newark some disadvantages. Are you actually have toe? Have physical copies of your art? Now, if you work digitally, you can get a copy printed on a campus site or another printing service and then do the same thing. Either way, you are going to risk damage to your artwork, especially if it's in a crowded bar. Donations on free sites There are several free image sites that you can post your photographs in arts to that will not pave. Your work will be released under a free license, usually a CC zero or a similar license written by the website itself. You can still earn some money on these sites through their nation's. Personally, I have gotten a few donations after only uploading six pieces of art on unspool ash. So it does happen. You might choose this option if you have art that you don't think was so well on stock photo sites. But you still want people to appreciate. Also, there is no reason you can't sell the high resolution version off the image you put on the free site on the stock photography site as well. You may choose to crop your art in two dimensions that can be used for a desktop or cell phone background so it is more useful to download. If you want to learn how to do this easily, check out my profile. I have a course about batch image editing with automation and makes it super quick and easy to automatically do this for all of your posting on free sites can help with your popularity, and it's a good way to get your INSTAGRAM website portfolio and brand name out there. Also, it's good to know that people are not allowed to just take your image and sell it on stock , photography or print on demand sites in case your word my recommendations. I think there is room for working with these websites, but not on your whole portfolio. And definitely not at Maxim's. Lucia. Pick a few of your pieces, scale them down, maybe even crop them for a background and put them up and see what happens. Some advantages are you get to build your name and your social media following, and you can usually link back to your portfolio pages that actually make money. The disadvantages are pretty obvious. You no longer own exclusive rights to your own work. Anyone can remix, reuse and then sell your image on the same sites that you will be selling the original. But again, they can't sell the exact same thing next up. Teaching what I'm doing right now, teaching others to make art and improve their art related skills. When you have developed a technique or even improved an existing art form. You can create valuable content by teaching others about your technique. You could monetize this content toe a blawg, YouTube or sell. Of course, about teaching can be a very probable way to make money off your art knowledge, and you can also promote your art while you're teaching. Chances are you have some sort of a art technique or style than you have messed. You could help other people to learn your technique or style and monetized. Teaching the first and probably most profitable way to do this is to create a course for skill share or you to me. If your course becomes successful, you could, or hundreds of dollars a month from a single course. There is some riskier like if nobody takes your cores, you're not gonna make any money. You can lower your risk by releasing a free introductory courts, which will almost always get a lot of students and then offering a paid course, which tells more about the technique. Another way is to create a YouTube channel by offering free videos to teach about the technique. You will gain an audience if your videos are well received. You can monetize this audience directly from YouTube. This takes a while and may not be as profitable as selling. Of course directly. However, it's a good idea because you can direct the YouTube traffic to your portfolio and your course if you create one later. Finally, you can blawg about your creation techniques. Your blog's can make money from ads and also direct traffic to your sales pages and courses . If you create that, if you don't want to go through the process of creating a website, you can go through a service like medium dot com, which has built in ways to make money. There's a lot of advantages to teaching, including a completely independent revenue stream. Courses can be very profitable with the right subject and promotion. Also through teaching, you'll start to connect with fellow artists. You'll learn you'll advance your techniques and you'll grow not just as an artist but as a person. Teaching helps you make a positive impact on others, life's as well as others making a positive impact on your life, and in the end, you always learn more than you teach disadvantages. It takes a few more things to make videos like a camera and some video editing skills. It also takes a lot of time to build a course or to build up enough audience on YouTube to make it profitable. Logging. Another option you can use alongside course creation or on its own, is to create a blawg Are bugs don't have to be about teaching? They can be about your art, others are or anything to do with our. You can bring together niche artists and art fans by sharing content on your block and even make a forum on your site or a Facebook group to bring your community together. Your block can be on a website you create. Or if you don't want to make the website, you can put it on a blob creation service like medium dot com or wordpress dot Or you can earn money on your blog's through advertising selling products like your photos or an Amazon, or for a link within Amazon referral link. You could suggest the products that will help the person create our B camera, good paint or something else, and let the audience know that you will earn some money if they use the link. People are usually very happy to support you when it's free for that. If you're willing to do the work to set it up, you could also sell your own digital downloads directly from WordPress with plug ins like easy digital downloads. You're gonna also giveaway Cem downloads of your art on your website for free to get some traffic and fans. The simplest way to make money with your blog's is to drive traffic to your artwork on stock, photography and print on demand sites. If you own the website, there's no reason you can't do all the monetization methods at the same time. If you choose medium, they have built in ways to make money that involve locking your story so only premium members can see it. You will get paid by abuse and collapse from premium members. Some advantages are long term free traffic, independent income stream, creative control and a new way to express yourself. The disadvantages are and take some time to write articles, and it takes a while to gain momentum on a new block 8. Print on Demand Concepts: print undermanned concepts. Print on demand allows you to sell a huge variety of products without investing any money or handling any products yourself. It's almost dreamlike that this is even a possibility. The power that you have at your fingertips would be unthinkable 50 years ago. You have the opportunity to take your art global with minimum effort. All of the hard work is already taken care of for you. Literally. The only thing you actually need to do is upload your art. The economics of selling a print on demand product is pretty simple. You have your base price. This is what the company charges you or technically charges the customer for the product you are selling. On top of this, you have your commission, base price and commission come together to form the final price of the product. On top of this, you have your shipping price, which usually doesn't affect your profit unless you have a personal website and the shipping price isn't accurate on top of shipping, there may or may not be applicable sales taxes, which you will only have to deal with if you're selling through a personal website. Otherwise, print on demand services will handle this for you. If you are running a personal website storefront, you can use the plug in that you're using to sell your products to include sales tax according to your local laws. What you can control the base price you have no control over, though it may be different from site to site for a similar or even the same product. This is where the companies make their money, so finding cheap merchandise isn't always easy. Also, it's not really necessary because people don't buy print on demand products because they are the cheapest option. They buy them because they love them, making products people love always be your number one goal, not selling them as cheaply as you can. The commission you usually have control over, but not always. The commission of 20% is pretty standard across the board, although some services, like Zazzle, will set 10% as a default and other services like principle was, suggest a higher percentage. When you're running your own site, you can always use coupon codes that come out of your commission, but make the customer feel like they're getting a much better deal, setting a higher price and then offering a 20 or 25% off coupon code for new customers or else a limited time coupon code are both proven marketing strategies. With principal, there's an integration option that automatically adds the correct shipping price. The shipping prices are usually pretty good on print on demand sites, especially print for another option. If you have your own site, is to set a low flat rate shipping cost. I've done this successfully with a $5 flat shipping rate and $10 international rate. I told people right on the front page that the shipping was $5. No matter how much they bought, I received positive feedback from customers that we're happy to know exactly what the shipping would cost as the products were already at a premium price. This also encouraged larger orders, which is the reason I did it for larger orders. I lost money on the shipping but made Maurin the additional profit for the items that might not have ordered otherwise. For smaller orders, I actually made a dollar or so on the shipping in most cases, as print for shipping is usually around $4 for a T shirt shipped to the United States. An international order of a single shirt could be up around $11 so it did take a small loss from time to time, but not enough to offset profit taxes. You have no control over, of course, costs of selling. You can run your print on demand website with absolutely no monetary investment, with services listed under the no website required section of spreadsheet, all of the best no website required print on demand sites are free because they know they will attract more artists and make more sales. The ones that try to charge you are, in my opinion, not worth it and not worth mentioning when you get into services that require you to have your own storefront website like print ful or print. If I usually you've gotta pay for hosting or to use a merchant service to do this. Here's a spreadsheet by print ful comparing the different pricing for the various storefront platforms they link up with. You can see that Wu commers mentioned in the previous lessons and press the card are the only two options without additional costs. Of these two rue commerce integrates better with print manufacturing methods before we Google at the awesome products. Let's look at the manufacturing methods used to make that most products are digitally printed. Specialized printers printed design directly on the products direct to garment printing. A form of digital printing is used on a majority of T shirts. Companies like Red Bubble Society six and many others use this method for their standard teas. For T shirts, however, there are many more options. While the famous silk screening method is usually not cost effective for single shirt orders, companies like Principle and Spread shirt offer flex and flock printing spread shirt even offers special, velvety and reflective prints all over printed products like the shirt I'm wearing are printed using a different technique called dye sublimation. The term sublimation comes from the old belief that it worked by directly converting, driving a solid into a gas where it is absorbed by the fabric. This was later found to be incorrect, as the ink does go through a liquid phase, but the name stuck. There are two ways Dye sublimation works in One Inc is printed onto a plastic transfer sheet, which is then heated in. The ink is transferred onto the garment or product. This is more common and what was used to make this shirt. In the second technique, there is no transfer. Medium and ink is instead heated and sublimated directly into the product. In clothing, this usually only works for cut and sew products as material must be flat, so won't work on a T shirt blank with wrinkles. And seems like this. Visual printing and sublimation are used to create virtually all products on print on demand sites. Each print on demand service has a different line of products, but many of them have the same products often made by the same manufacturers. These products are usually bought in bulk and then printed by the company themselves. Occasionally, these companies do outsource toe other companies and the other company will print it and then ship it, making it look like it's from the Print on Demand Company or one step further print on demand company, then makes it look like it's printed by your company, which is available on print. Full range of products gets wider and equality gets better all the time. In the last five plus years in the business, I have seen the explosion up all over printed products, including leggings, swim apparel, shirts, yoga mats and more. Also, single order cut and sew. Products like these leggings from Red Bow are now available. Truly the stuff of legends. The swag keeps getting cooler. You are here at the right time to make your dream product line a reality quick reality check. Understand that while amazing print on demand products exist, some of the stuff offered by Purity Services is crap, and it's up to you to know what is crap and not sell it to your customers. For example, prayerful introduced some all over printed ankle socks not too long ago, they didn't fit, literally falling off of customers feet and the elastic was just not print full ended up pulling the product within a few weeks of launching it. Luckily, principle was cool enough to admit defeat early and pulled the product. But other print on demand services may not be a school. We'll keep on selling the crappy product without care. So read the reviews, especially on brand new products and especially on print on demand services that offer over 100 different products. Now let's have some fun and look at some stuff you can make awesome 9. Print on Demand Products: print on demand products. Let's look at all of the products and all the different print on demand sites. Now, while we're doing this, I want you to get a either pattern paper or a place to take notes and write down what products excites you the most. You're going to see some pretty cool things. Some things you may have never thought about selling before, and there is literally going to be so many awesome things. You need to write down the coolest ones or you might forget it, and we're gonna go through the order of the spreadsheet. So if you want to, you can keep that handy or it's starting out. Uploading Print on Demand Products: in this lesson. We're gonna take a look at this spreadsheet that I've created for all of you to get a quick overview of the biggest and best print on demand sites available on the Web today in the first section we have the know website required sites. All of these websites are free to set up, and they're the biggest and best on the Internet. Today. These air ordered in the list of my personal preference In the first column. We have the Alexa rank as well as the rank in the US The Alexa rank tells you how much traffic a website gets so you can see that red bubble is number one with the lowest elects Iraq and pixels is actually in last place. The fine art America is a little bit better. I put this imprint sees because pixels used to be fine art America. The next six columns are my own personal opinion as faras thesis Ailes, Potential profit potential, art exposure, ease of upload, which is actually very important. Product range and quality of next is the basic shirt base price, and this will give you an idea as to the base prices for all of the products on the sites, and next to that is the default commission now in most of these sites, and that does not include designed by humans or thread list, but pretty much everywhere else. You can set whatever percentage commission that you want, but these are the default commissions, and it's what consumers are expecting to pay when they shop on these sites. And the next column. We have the popular type of art. This is what designs you'll see most frequently on those websites, and then we have the defining products which are like this. Stand out products that the website offers. And in the section below, we can see the website required services again, by my preference print full print. Five. T launch Good. Some of the columns don't apply, like art exposure and the popular type of art, because on these sites it's really whatever you make it. Unfortunately, on SCO share, I'm not allowed to give reviews of the print, undermanned and stock websites because it violates their class guidelines. So I had to remove those lessons for them to approve this class. You can still find information about all of these sites in spreadsheets. You'll find Fritchey link in the description for this class and in the news For this lesson , I'm gonna take you through uploading to two of the biggest websites Red Bow and Society six . So we're going to start out on Red Bubble and go to admin work over here, and you can just drag your images right over. And while it's uploading, you can go ahead and get started with your title tags and description. So you're gonna wanna have your document open where you keep all of your descriptions and keywords and other meta data. And then it's just as easy as copying and pasting. And the cool thing about this is I have different tabs open each with their own red bubble upload. And then I could just pace a description, go to the next tab with shortcuts pace of description again. So if I wanted, I could have just copied and pasted this on 20 different, similar patterns. And then the only work I would have to do is go back in and add this little piece of the title. And reputable makes it even super easier if you're doing a bunch of work because you could upload one and then copy the settings from a work you already have, and that's gonna copy all of the rest of the work, which we're going to do right now. And that's suggesting the product previews now. Abusive Red bubble. You would have to go in and individually change the background color for every image, but now you can set it all at once up here, and you can see all of the applicable products are now changed blue. Next, you simply enable or disable or further edit the products which yourself. You can also replace the image for individual products if you want another really cool thing you could do, especially for big products that you could do with a pretty much a product is you set the repeat, so that's gonna turn this into a pattern, which doesn't really apply because it's already a pattern. But if you have like just a smaller image, you can simply put it in a pattern and cover the entire product. Finally, we can select what type of images and put it in a collection. The last choice you need to make is what product you want to display this out and a lot of people that have me look at their shop. They overlook this, but it's very important. The default product is going to determine how your art is displayed all over Red Bow. If you have a singular image, it's good to choose something like a T shirt or a sticker. But if you have a pattern like this, it's good to do something like an all over print shirt or legs where the pattern can really shine. And also remember the tip I gave about choosing the more expensive product. You have a choice between the T shirt and tribal. He or the sweatshirt finally mature content no and confirm that you have the rights and save your work. And in just a little bit of time, your work is going to be processed, and then you will be taken to a page where you can view it in all of its glory. Now let's take a look. A society six. Go over here and click cell, and that you can drag and drop your image right here, confirm that you own the rights and then go to the next step. You are gonna have to wait for your image to upload before going for cool. Now, once we're here, we're going to start the copying and pasting again. Shoes are category, and then at our tags, Society six limits you to 20 tags in a very short description of 250 characters. If you followed my advice in the mastery meta data lesson and put your best tags first and prepared, an alternate description should be ready to go that it will be brought to a screen showing you all the product previews on society. Six. You don't have the option to set a background color, so it is what it is. But you can zoom in, do the image if you like. I go to edit and then scale it up, as well as put a custom image if you want. Another annoying thing about society six is you have to manually enable most of the products once you have all the products that you want and they would just go right here to publish and you're done, the product is going to show up here under my art post. When it's finished process. Each site is a little bit different, but they all go through this similar process 11. Stock Photography Concepts: stock photography concepts Stock photo sites allow you to license your images for profit sites. Broker the agreement between you and the buyer, facilitating all aspects of the sale from Heymann to image hosting and everything in between. If you're not a photographer, you may have never thought of selling your art on stock photos sites. Luckily, many others haven't thought of it, either, so there's less competition, though we often say stock photography, you can sell photos, including photos of physical are illustrations, vectors and even videos on the same platform. Let's review the concepts related to stock photography. In the next lesson, we'll take a closer look at the best websites available to sell your work. Micro stock versus traditional stock The biggest difference between a traditional stock photography site and micro stock site is price Micro stock websites. Cell images for cheap, usually 1 to $10 an image and often used credit or subscription models to capture long term buyers. Micro stock sites typically allow you to keep all of your rights and sell your images on other peut and stock image sites without any problem, unless you opt into an exclusivity agreement. A traditional stock photography site usually sells the image rights outright per photograph at a higher rate, usually 75 to $500 per image. Because of this, traditional stock photography sites are more selective with their contributors and also more restrictive about allowing you to list your work. Other places. For this course, we refer to both types as stock voter sites. We're just stock sites simplify things, but we're usually talking about micro stock image licenses. There are three general types of licenses. Royalty free rights managed and public licenses. Each platform does licensing slightly differently, though it's almost always a royalty free model because each service writes their own agreement No. Two on the same. Some differentiate between print and Web use and others place restrictions on things like print on demand use for purchasers. Most have restriction on the maximum prints, as well as using the image with offensive content. Royalty free. A true royalty free license allows the image to be used forever for any purpose. All micro stock sites use a restricted version of royalty free, commonly restricting the distribution or amount of money made and the use cases for the image. They will also offer extended licenses that remove most of these restrictions. Extended licenses make you, ah, lot more money, as you can see in the spreadsheet, where oh, the free licenses are usually not exclusive so multiple buyers can buy the same image, Rights Managed writes. Managed means that the rights for a certain picture are sold, but with restrictions. These restrictions involved geographic area, the purposes and or the time frame of the image use. This agreement could be exclusive or nonexclusive, but it's usually exclusive, and it's used more by traditional stock photography sites. As micro stock sites almost always use a form of royalty free agreement, public licences, public licences removed a part or all of the author's copyright. Public licenses include Public Domain Declaration, Creative Commons Licensing and many others. Free stock sites exist where artists can release their rights and have their images featured on the site, such as unspool, ash and free pick. While you probably won't be releasing all of your images under this designation, if you hope to get paid, public licenses can help your exposure. As a new artist releases, you will need tohave releases filled out by both models and property owners in order to sell stock photography. You only have to upload the release once for model, and then you can apply it to us many photos, as you need. You should be able to use a general release for all of the sites and use that release forever with that model. The big exception is Istock, which requires a release for each model. Her shoot location. So have your general release in one for I stock. If you plan to sell your image is there for your general release. You can modify one from shutter stock or another side to meet your needs. Look over the release for all of the sites you plan to use To be sure you meet all the requirements for each one in your final draft. In the resource is you'll find a link to a page with all the model release forms listed. There are also a few new mobile app apps that allow you to get your model release with a digital signature, though none worked with all of the stock photography sites, at least not yet. Contributor approval. Most stocks sites have a review process before you're accepted as a contributor in this process. You will submit a selection of images around 5 to 10 for review. If your images are deemed high quality, you will then be accepted into the contributor program. After you're approved, most sites will still manually approve each image, upload or sometimes just check a few files from each batch. We will talk more about this in the lesson on quality acceptance ratio. This is the percentage of images that you upload that are accepted by the site. Some websites reward a higher acceptance or issue by removing upload limits and minimizing your approval. Wait up lower limits. Some sites have upward limits, which means that only let you upload a certain amount of photos per day or per week. They're usually they're very high. Rarely, a site will have an impeding upload limit like 500 PX, which limits new users to seven up loads per day. Most sites will lift the upload limits gradually. As you upload, Maura proved works with the higher acceptance ratio, her image profit. Your per image profit is the amount of money that you make on average per month for each image in your portfolio. You can calculate this by dividing your monthly check by the number of images in your portfolio known your per image profit for each website. I would tell you where your images will earn the most so you can upload your art. Their first J peg is King. All of the stock photography site prefer J pay, and some only accept JPEG images. Most of these sites do not accept PNG images, which I think it's silly. Why not? I'm not sure. P and G has a huge benefit of allowing transparency. Plus services can simply convert PNG to Jay Peak. I think that one day P and G's will be accepted and sold at all major stock sites. So I have no idea what most sites that allow you to sell vector images require that you make a JPEG preview of the vector as well. Adobe stock and shutter stock have recently changed their upload process to allow just one standalone vector image, which they then generate the preview from. So if you're selling vectors, this will make your life much easier. No love for the big guys. As someone who makes extremely large part, I am constantly downsizing my images to sell on just about every stock photography site. The upper limit seems to be 100 megapixels or $10 in pixels by 10,000 pixels. For a square image, do not fret. If you have a larger size, you can quickly rece eyes all of your images on a Mac using the included automative program , and I'm gonna show you how to do that. In this course exclusivity agreements. An exclusivity agreement means that you agreed to sell the image only on this site you sign . The agreement with some agreements are only for a length of time, and after that you're free to upload it to other stock sites, while others are for the entire duration of eternity. Most websites offer an incentive for agreeing to exclusivity. The common compensation for this is an extra 15 to 25% on top of the standard percentage rate. Personally, I think it makes more financial sense toe opt out of exclusivity, and so your image on every site uploading toe every site does take more time, but it also makes more money. You may choose to go exclusive if you fall in love with one service, and that's fine. It's your decision but do try out all of the sites before locking into agreement with the site that ends up being a poor fit for your portfolio earnings. Your Purcell earning is usually a percentage of the sales price. This gets complicated with credits and subscription, but the price of the credits where the percentage of the subscription spent is used to calculate your earnings. Usually, a site would charge more credits for a higher resolution image and much more for an extended licence. This means the bigger that your image is more. It's work. Typically, vectors, illustrations and photos are priced the same, while video costs much more. Four K video is worth the most, and one sale can make you 40 to $75 depending on the site. See the spreadsheet for more info. Hemant. You can quickly check how and how much sites pay in the spreadsheet. Where you will notice is they all pay via PayPal to save yourself from grief and get a PayPal account if you don't already have one, most sites allow your money to accrue, and then you can request to pay out anytime you want, as long as you are above the minimum threshold. Other sites just pay you every month on a certain day. The spreadsheet. I've put together a spreadsheet to help you easily compare the options you have for stock photo sites to make the list. A website needed a good reputation and to be within the top 5000 most visited sites on the Internet. There are many more stock photo sites out there, so I recommend going with the big guys because there's bigger profit potential and less chance the company will go under. Keep in mind that most sites required to submit images to be accepted as a contributor, you may have to wait a week or more to hear back from them, so use the time to apply to all of the sites on the list. Then, as you are accepted, you can upload your first pageant. The next lesson. We're going to talk in depth about the best stock 12. Uploading to Stock Photography Sites: uploading to stock photography sites. Let's go through. Uploading to the top three sites on the list Adobe Stock, shutter stock and Alami starting with Adobe stock. When you click upload, you'll be brought to this screen. So we're gonna go ahead and bring our images over there. When your images are finished uploading, you'll see that you have this information window over here and then you've got all your image space right over here. And the cool thing is, you can select as many images as you want and then edit all the info over here and then go back and change it for each individual image. If you want to say a different title so we're gonna go ahead and select all these images, we're gonna click this 1st 1 It's already selected. Then hold shift. Click over here and we're gonna fill out as much information as we can. These air illustration. Graphic resource is fine recognisable people or property. Now, if we click yes, then you're going to have to either create a new release or select when you already have. But in this case, we do not need to for the title we're going to go over to our metadata document and then copy and paste our little title fragment. And then for our keywords. We're going to do the same thing. And you could see I just pasted them all here. Hit, enter and it filled in all of the key words for us. So that's pretty much everything. The last thing we have to do is just go to each individual image and then add the correct title. All right, Perfect. So we've got all of these ready to go. Just select him all holding down shift, clicking and then go down here to submit for approval. And just Azizi is that we click submit and then in a few days will find out whether or not Adobe likes the images we have submitted. And if they like it, you'll get an email like this for each individual image that you have. And it will say, Hey, man, we like your all right. Now let's go to shutter stock. Same deal. Bring over all of your images, put them right here, and they're gonna a blue. And once they're all handy and dandy, go over to next and we're presented with in just a second, something that is very similar to what we just saw at Doobie Stock. We have our images over here. And then if we click one, we get a very similar thing over here where we can put the information for each image. So we're gonna do the exact same thing. We're gonna hold down, shift, select all of the images and then fill out as much information as we can. And when we get to the keywords will see. There's a cool keywords suggestion thing down here so you can add whatever you want from here and then do the same thing. Copy and paste. The key words that you have ready. Adobe has a similar thing, but it doesn't work quite as well for multiple pieces of art at the same time, you click the plus and then up here paste the keywords hit enter and they're all added now is going to say that there are some errors here, so we're going to go ahead and delete the keywords that they don't like and cool. We've got most of the info ready now. It's just going back and adding the individual titles. And if you're really smart about this. You can keep the other tab open and do all of this at the same time. And what I mean by that is upload to adobe stock with your batch of images that I suggest you do on all the stock sites. And then you can just copy and paste the title for each one. Wow, guys, Super easy, bam! And then I don't have to do any typing to get all of this information. And when everything is good to go, there is a big, shiny submit button down here just waiting to be clicked. Content submitted right here. And you'll get to know in a few days whether or not they like your images. And if they do, you'll get an email just like this, showing you what images have been approved. Okay? And finally, let's go to Alami. And Alami is a little bit different. So once you go to upload, you gotta pick what you're gonna upload. And in Alami, you almost always have to do one batch of things like in adobe stock. I can literally take my whole portfolio of vector art everything else. Put it all at the same time and then select the ones I want. Put the different info with Alami. You're gonna have to just go with one collection, one shoot at a time, and another drag and drop over here, and we're going to title our submission. Like I said, Alimi is a little bit different. So we're going to title this whole batch of images and then on AL me. You're going to have to wait for them to approve before you can go further. But we're gonna go ahead and take a look at the information. So it's a similar thing. You can select multiple if you want, or just one. You're going to have the caption here and then you add your tags right down here you can copy and paste. One thing that is different is you get these super keywords and you're allowed to have up to 10 of those and those air sort of like you're gonna show up higher in the rankings if it's your super keyword versus if it's not your super cured. They also have this discoverable ity index, which you can improve by filling out all of this information. Also, I do want to say that There are plenty of other stock sites out there, and the reason why I'm not talking about them is they're not the biggest and the best and how I determine that is your Alexa rating. So if you're going to look for a site that isn't on this list, check out the Alexa rating. Check out the reviews and upload just a batch First, the same batch that you put on all the other sites. See what happens if you didn't watch the other lesson. I recommend that you tried out each and every one of these stocks sites by uploading the same batch of images and then the ones that you start to get sales on. Then you upload all of your portfolio there first. And as you start to get more, sales uploaded other places this way you save time and money and you get your foot in the door at all of these stock photography sites. You have this metadata. You can upload all these sites while you're watching movies or Siri's or anything like that . It's super easy and mindless. Upload all of these sites, and that's pretty much all the work that you need to do besides a little bit of promotion. Alright guys, I wish you the best of luck. Throw your seeds everywhere and you will have fruit. 13. Quality Standards and Copyright: quality standards. You know your art needs to be high quality, but what does that even mean? There are several factors that go into quality. One is the size of the image. One is the clarity and quality of the subjects within the image, and the third is the overall composition of the image, which lends to its total usability. Here's how to make quality images every time. Make sure your art is big if you can shoot for 10,000 pixels on the long side. If this is impossible like for photographs, the long side should be at least 4500 pixels. If it isn't the products that you're art is printed on, it will be very limited. Art will always be able to scale down, but never be able to scale up without losing quality. The smartest thing you could do is design for the largest product image size, which is usually either the largest art print or the biggest product, like a blanket or tapestry on red bubble. That dimension for the largest print is 91 44 by 60 96 and in king size, duvet cover, or tapestry, are both 76 30 to buy 64 8 If you're creating vector art, you can render it out at any size without losing quality. You should render out the largest possible size you will ever need. Having alongside of 10,000 pixels should be sufficient. Many stock photography sites don't even allow images over 100 mega pixels or 10,000 by 10,000 pixels, so it's a good kind of place to stop print. Undermanned sites will almost always automatically scale down your images. We need it, but if you have to do it yourself, you can use a program called Automated. It comes installed by default on all apple computers. I teach a course on skill share and you to me about automate ER, but I want to show you quickly this concept so you can resize your artwork right away. Make sure your art is clear. This is mostly a photography issue. Stock image sites will reject your art if they find it out of focus. Overexposed, grainy, noisy are unclear. For another reason. Make sure your aren't is well composed. Composition balances the elements that come together to make a photograph or piece of art. Elements of composition include pattern, cemetery balance, texture, depth of field lines, shapes, negative space and perspective. Images must be well composed to be accepted stock photography sites and for users to want to buy them on print on demand products. Be aware of the balance of colors, brightness and darkness within your art. It's supplies to more than just photographs. When you're creating visual art, it's important to use for color palette colors that have shown they work well together and will look good in print. You can easily do this through the re color artwork panel in a doobie will issue. Color palettes will make your art magically seem more pleasing to the viewer. In photographs, you can control the colors in many ways. In light room or photoshopped, you can curve the individual red, green and blue spectrums, each with their own curves layer. This gives you more control over each field of color and allows you to fine tune the balance of color quality standards for print on demand sites. Most Pierre de Services do not impose quality standards, meaning you can upload what you want when you want. The only requirements are the dimensions of art required for the products you wish to sell . As long as you aren't uploading images that you don't own, you should be fine. Quality standards. Overview. For stock photography. Stock photography sites often require you to submit samples of your work to be accepted as a contributor. Most also have a further review of each photograph or illustration that you add to the site . Here are some of the reasons in image may be rejected. Lack of release for models or buildings. You need a signed release from a model to use their image and often for buildings and property as well. Image contains a logo of a brand. This is a big no no, which is why sometimes you see a apple laptop, but for some reason there's no Apple logo up. Sampling up sampling is artificially making a photo bigger. Therefore, reducing its quality photo is similar to another photo in your portfolio. If you have two images that are nearly the same, the 2nd 1 will often get rejected. Only submit your best image. This only applies for very similar images. If you have a photograph where the subject is looking one way and then a different one, where he's looking the other way. It's fine upload boat, and this is probably better for the buyer. A swell general quality Here are four quality standards mentioned by adobe. Photos must be appropriately lit and exposed without visible noise or dust, well composed and process inconspicuously. If you follow these guidelines, all your artwork should be accepted copyright concerns. You'll have to respect the copyrights, trademarks and public rights of others when selling your art. Let's look at what each of these terms mean. Copyright law protects the expression of an original idea recorded in a tangible form, such as an artwork in the form of photographs or paintings and literary works in the form of poems or stories. Trademark law protects the use of words, symbols, designs or logos that identify and distinguish a source of goods. Publicity rights predict an individual's name, image and likeness. Basically, this means you can't use someone else's identity to your commercial advantage without their consent. Now on to everyone's favorite topic, fair use Fair use is a loosely defined protection that allows creators to use copyrighted ideas in their works. There are four factors that determine if the fair use claim is valid number one the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or if it's for nonprofit educational purposes. Number to the nature of the copyrighted work. Number three. The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole. And number four, the effect of the use upon the potential market or value of the copyrighted work. Here's a quote directly from Red Bubble. Quite frankly, their use is a difficult concept even for the experts. And the scope of fair use is different in different countries because we are acting in a commercial pursuit. Even Pertti use make it hold from print on demand sites and not approved for stock image sites. Copyright issues don't just apply to the physical design, but also include titles and descriptions of the work. For example, I have a piece of fractal art that is titled Jolly Rancher Bubble Gum. A few months after uploading it to read Bubble, I received a copyright complaint from her. She's and my art was removed. Yes, candy company made me remove my fractal art. At the time, it seemed absurd, but their concern is completely valid. They must do all they can to make sure their trademark is not abused. Also, companies can send out blanket copyright complaints where they collect all of the infringing material and complain all at once to read Bubble or another company. Then the company has to remove all the works, even if they're not truly in violation. If you violate copyright issues on a stock photography site, it will not be approved. If you violate copyright issues on a print on demand site, even if you believe it is within fair use, your image will probably eventually be pulled from the site, especially when you're infringing on a big company. You may also be banned if you get enough copyright complaints or a high percentage of your work contains copyrighted friends. Don't worry about being sued or taken to court over something you upload. Fact is, is just not worth the money for a company to drag you into court. The only action taken against you is your work's gonna be removed, and if it's bad enough, your portfolio may be removed from the site completely. But that probably isn't gonna happen for one or two violations do your best to respect others, right? But make what you want to make without worry. If you use something claiming fair use, try not to use any trademark words or phrases in your titles and descriptions. An example would be a mashup parody of Peek a Choo and Chewbacca, which would be titled Pekar, Chewbacca and not include the trademark words Peek a Choo or Chewbacca or Pokemon or startles. 14. Mastering Metadata: mastering metadata. Metadata includes all of the information you'll provide the print on demand and stock sites . When you're uploading your images to make our lives easier, we're gonna prepare a document containing a set of effective metadata, including keywords descriptions entitled fragments we can use for every image we upload. Once we have our metadata prepared, we would just copy and paste the data to make uploading fast, easy and mindless. Our goals with metadata were targeting search engines with text and links while also showcasing our personality informally. Potential buyers about ourselves, our images and anything else we want them to know. Organizing metadata. Get together a document, whether it be in Google docks, word or anywhere else. There were house all of your information. We need one set of tags, title fragments and descriptions for each type or subject matter of art create. You can choose to organize one document for each type of art or keep them all together in one master document. So here is an example of one document for each type of art. This is a description title fragments and keywords for sacred geometry images. Let's talk about each part of these for both stock photo sites and print on demand titles entitle fragments when selling on stock sites. Titles, sometimes called captions, function as an extension of your tax. There an attempt to grab traffic by matching what users air searching while still providing accurate information about the image for print on the man site. Your titles are a little bit more personal related to the exact art, but there's still some room for part of the title that people will search. And that's what I call a title fragment. A title fragment is a section of the title, which may include the type of the image, a named collection of images, photo shoot information, how it is used or other useful information. This should ideally connect with what a potential buyer may be searching for. Here are some examples of title fragments for print on demand sites. You can tell about what type of art you're making with, and I'm a fan. Art or sacred geometry patterns added to the end of the title. Or you can just title a collection of art like the summer in Rio collection or just summer in Rio for stock sites were thinking mostly about what people are searching to try things like high definition fractal art for backgrounds and backdrops on white background. Vector illustration. Women face portrait outdoors. Natural background, adding a title fragment. A title fragment usually goes on the end of the title. For each image, you may choose to use a separate of character to separate the name of the work from the title fragment if you wish. Here are some examples of some separator characters you can use. Remove meaningless words such as the and add descriptive words such as bright outdoors looking away or phrases such as natural background for your titles and tags include as many relevant and descriptive words about the actual photograph or piece of art as you can. Don't spam with words that are unrelated to the photo to try to get used instead, cover every aspect of the work as it could be viewed by different observers or different consumers. Using unrelated titles in tags can lead to image rejection and if you continue account suspension or termination writing effective descriptions. Effective descriptions work for both search engines and people. Descriptions are more prominent on print on demand sites in stock photo sites where you often just have a caption that serves as your title and your description. Descriptions or captions for stock photo sites usually have a max character link and are not meant to be personal. Use a description to list information and use cases for the art in a way that might match what a user is searching. I want to show you an example of this on shutter stock. Now this is the second image that shows up whenever you search fractals, and you can see it down here in the caption. They've got a lot of stuff first Sentence says abstract computer generated fractal design that's thrown in a lot of key words, as well as telling you exactly what it is. Then it goes on to say a fractal is a never ending pattern. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self similar across different scales. So that's like the story of fractals is getting you interested. If maybe you haven't heard of fractals before and then check out this last sentence great for a cell phone wallpaper that's giving you a use case for this art. Overall, it's a potent caption and certainly partner reason why it's showing up second in the marketplace. Search for practice on print on demand sites, you have more room to work with, both in characters and in expressing yourself. We went to foster an emotional connection with our product description. Some potential customers will have this connection just by seeing the design. But those on the edge or choosing between several different products can be swayed by a personable description that gives them a reason to choose you. Some print on demand sites have shorter character limits, like society. Six is 250 character limit. So make a full version of your description and then compress it into a short version. For limits like this, even for the long version, Short and Suite is usually best personality pitch. The first part of our description will be some copy that gives the reader an impression of us as an artist. This should be a few sentences to a paragraph, but not long enough to be intimidating at a glance. Remember, Short and sweet used the first line to hook the reader's attention. You can do this by using a word or phrase that grabs attention or by starting a story. The human brain loves colorful stories, and any time you can incorporate stories with imagery into your description, you'll turn many eyes into fans who feel they know you in our part of your story. This story. Comptel about how you make your art, why you were inspired to make art the power of this type of art, your dreams, your vision, etcetera, etcetera, jam the most interesting parts into a few colorful sentences. It doesn't have to be about you. It could just be about the art or an idea that the art represents. Let's look at some examples of descriptions that I have used. First off is a very short description for fractal art, explaining that it's beautiful because we are also fractals. This is encouraging people to think and create a relationship with this art by starting to expand their imagination. Next up is a sacred geometry description that may be a little bit long. It could probably be shortened up, but it really explains what sacred geometry is. And this may convince somebody who just stumbled upon the design that this is beneficial and something that is worth purchasing. And finally we have the copy for Sir Douglas Fresh that they used on my profile, and this description leads off with a question. Why do we see the world in ourselves as separate? We are want. This is an effective hook because it gets users to think as well as makes him create a response. It also helps to weed out the customers, which may not be aligned with the vibration I want to put into my art. It's really important to be your full, genuine self. And let that shine through your description. Never worry about turning certain people away with the description that is to raw. Nobody is not going to buy your art just because they didn't like something in the description. If they like the design, they're gonna buy it. But the description can help people that are on the edge or might not even know who you are . To start to feel that connection and really feel good about purchasing something from you. It's just as important to keep it real and genuine as it is to keep it short and sweet links in your descriptions. The second part of our descriptions will be our links. You can foster a relationship with your viewers and with search engines simply by inviting the users to check out your stuff other places on the Web and providing links for them to do so. This almost always is impossible or even a good idea for stock photo sites. But print on the man sites usually allow links in your product description, and there are two big reasons to do this. Search engine optimization and fan building links and fan building. You can include links to your social media for your art, turning a viewer into a lifetime fan. Um, if you already linked your social media in your profile settings personally inviting the viewer to follow you and giving them a reason to do so will convert better. You can also promote your shops on other print on demand sites and any other website you run, including yourself hosted print on demand shops. In addition to bringing direct traffic to your other shops, thes links will be crawled by search engines and help your rankings. Your links from one shop to the others will create a web that let's search engines. No, your content is valuable. If you have 100 products up on five services. You could have 500 links to eat shop as each of your products will have a link in the description. Typically, your links will be marked. No follow, but this is normal. So don't worry. You're still gonna get S e o. Value from you are creating a flow of links between your content from trusted sites. This works when the sites are well ranked, which all the ones in the spreadsheet. Our search engines are your most influential viewer, so always put the links to all your other shops in the description when you can. Another idea is to put links to the product categories you offer usually takes, um, clicks for a user to find a display of just one product type if they ever dio. But if users see just your designs on a product type that they're looking for, their likely to buy one now there is a disclaimer with all of this. As I mentioned in the optimizing stores lesson, some websites do not like it when you linked to competitors in the description. I was contacted by Red Bubble about this, and they deactivated all of my links from one of my profiles. They don't mind links to your personal websites or to your social media, but they do have a problem with you linking to society. Six. Spread shirt and there are other competitors. So when this is a problem just linked to your personal Web page or check out this solution one link to rule them all instagrams. One leg policy spawned a ton of APS that allow you to link to multiple euros B A. One link. The link brings people to a mobile friendly landing page where more links show up. You can use these services to make a landing page for all of your shops and just include that link in your description. And what's more now you have one leg to promote all of your shops to friends, family, strangers, enemies and put in your profile on any site that asks, not just print on demand in stock sites. One popular service for this is linked tree, and there are many other free options. Late Tree does have a free option with unlimited links, so you might want to start their Segway from personality toe links. You can Segway from your personality pitch into your social links with some inviting words like Find the man or woman behind the art. Follow me for the latest Let's be friends. You could lead into your links to other shops with phrases like Discover mawr. Find more art by me. See my work, other places or by suggesting unique products that they can't find on the site you're currently writing from. Action words Use action words to incite action, and when you do provide reasons why the user should take the action, for example, to encourage sales by this shirt to raise the vibrations of all of you, see where the shirt and watch the smiles rise uses image to bring a calm energy to any product. To encourage social media actions. Discover more to love. Follow me for the latest Don't miss a thing. Join me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and to link to Link Tree or a similar platform. Discover my art on all platforms. Find all of my art shops here. All of my stuff, just one length. Let's check out some examples of links and fan belt. Here's one I've been using recently on Red Bubble, and it's only got four legs. I invite people to step into my world on my personal Web site, check out my other clothing line and let them know that it's a mission to spread love. I also am promoted an app I made see XY music as well as a project I've been working on called Korea's Academy. No, these aren't links to my other shops. They do give people a chance to find out more about me as an artist and me as a being maximizing what I could do with this traffic as well as on Douglas dot life. They confined all my other shops, so I might want to put that there as well. Moving on, we have the Lin Trie example. Link Tree is perfect for making it short and sweet. Find all my art on your favorite shops, stock me on social media and check out my project See Etc Music and Aquarius Academy all here and then I give them the lake. Next up we have the extreme example taking into account all of the things that we talk about and I want to show you it on red bubble itself. So here you can see the artist description. I have a very short personality pitch, just telling a little bit about fractal art and then a bunch of links. This 1st 1 Giga Pan is good to show people what the art actually looks like. I also introduced live in love and then jump directly into the product type links, which we talked about earlier. This lets people find exactly what products they're looking for. This makes it way more likely that somebody looking for a skirt would buy one of my designs or check out some awesome leggings, which they may have not found otherwise. And finally, we have the rest of the links down here. Now I don't put a bunch to other marketplaces because I don't want to get in trouble. But I doing things like my Facebook, my skill share and you to be courses, as well as giving credit to eso and NASA for using some of their images in the work and finally end it with a little personal live in love. Now, if that example seemed too much for you and honestly, it seems too much for me, you can go ahead and do the link tree. When I first started to do this link tree wasn't a thing yet, but now that it is, I think I'm going to convert most of my links over to Link Tree and maybe just keep the categories and one or two links in the description writing keywords. The idea here is to write great keywords and find the rest. Start with the obvious tags or keywords that you know you need, then research for the rest of the tags. Shoot for at least 50 to 80 to be sure that you can fill up all of the tags for the sites that allow that men, if you don't have them all at first, used what you have and pick up more as you go, you're tag list is an evolving list, so don't get too stressed about perfection in your first batch. Keep the best keywords first, so you can always copy from the beginning. When you have limited space many times stock photo sites would suggest tags for you. This is really helpful and can give you some tags to add to your list when starting out. These tags are also often irrelevant and always optional to slide the good ones over to your list and ditch the rest. You could also use them to fill in the remaining space when you have less than the maximum amount of tax. We will talk more about finding and comparing tags in the next lesson about keyword research. Logical versus emotional purchases. We mentioned in the lesson talking about making art that sells how stock image sites appeal more to the logical purchaser and print on demand services a pill more towards the emotional purchases. This is important to keep in mind when you're coming up with your metadata. You can use different titles, descriptions and tags for the same image on these two types of sites on the stock image site. You want to think about what somebody would be searching if they had a practical use. For this image, you can add words and phrases like background backdrop travel photography, natural background to your metadata, which would not make sense on print on demand sites for print on demand sites. Think about who would be most passionate about your art and what they may be searching. If you already have a title for your art. Just at title fragment containing this targeted information often there is no place for a description on stock photography sites, so it's usually find Teoh. Gear your description towards the emotional purchaser when you're writing. 15. Free Promotion Tools: free promotion tools. In this lesson, we're going to talk about a technique to get you more traffic organically. We're focusing on lasting traffic here, so we're going to review the court technique and then how to expand it. We mentioned this technique in the success formula less, but now we're gonna talk about the specifics. We're also gonna talk about some other techniques to get free traffic. Our core promotion strategy will be to target search engines, particularly image search. After that, we will target potential buyers with social media and blog's core promotion strategy. When selling are, most of your traffic will come from image search results. Usually, our goal is to give search crawlers as many copies as possible of your images using services like Pinterest that link back to your sales page. Each additional image that gets indexed by search engines will appear an image and Web search results multiplying your organic track. The additional images that we will make often do better in search results in the original image on the sales page. For this to work, we want to share the images that are generated by the print out a man or stock photography sites or the image previews. When we do this, sites like Pinterest and When Yellow will automatically bring all the traffic back to the sales page. The two biggest sites I recommend our Pinterest and Danilo. You can find a multitude of other sites that would do the same thing, so explore supplementing these two sites with others before investing time in a new site, check out the Alexa rating and see how popular this site is. If it isn't in the top 10,000 websites, it may not be well respected by search engines. Pinterest is really great because the content will be put on the boards and be placed next to similar content, which can cause your content to show up on image search results of users looking for that content. One pin on a popular board can bring you a ton of free traffic. For a long time, we knew that was a great place to showcase all of your products to. It's similar and function with people saving your post two collections when the low is better for physical products like clothes. So it's probably best to only do it for your print on demand sites interest, and Winnie, though, have a button available for chrome and Firefox make it super easy to share images. All you have to do is load the sales page. Click the button, select the right image posted. Both sides are well respected by search engines, and both allow you to name your board or collection. Take the time to name your collections something that can pay their usefulness or their topic to the viewer. You should share every single product or photo preview on Pinterest and one kilo. There is no downside and huge benefits. I credit this technique for my continued success, selling products every single day, and you will, too. That's the core strategy. So now let's talk about some other ideas. First up, steam it steam. It is integrated with my APP. See XY music. So I'm a little bit biased, but regardless steam. It has great S E O and can be an amazing place to post all of your images. Make sure you post your image previews of the product as well as the original art piece and link back to your product sales pages. Now, this does take more work than just clicking a button to Pinterest and when you low. But with more work comes more benefits, and you could make crypto currency just for posting on steam it. There is already an active photography community, and I've seen photos posted. Earn riel money from up bodes even 20 to $100 just for posting. If you decide to post on steam it, I recommend you take the time to make a footer and or reusable body toe. Add to your photos just like we do with our uploading metadata to save time later on, Read it. Getting opposed. It goes viral on Reddit. It's like hitting the free promotion jackpot. If you're creating print undermanned clothing for products that is lovable, funny or fresh, one post on reddit can get you lots of traffic and sales totally for free. If you have a funny niche design and post on the right subreddit, you have a good shot at success. Be careful to post on the correct subreddit, follow the rules and don't act. Sales. Many social media social media usually isn't the best to get your images index due to privacy, but it can give you a dialogue with your fans Also, you can usually linked social media on your sales profiles and to your sales pages on your social media. Consider a dedicated instagram, Twitter and Facebook page for your art. Use your artists email to sign up for a brand new social media accounts, with the exception of Facebook, where you can just make a page from your personal account. Also, remember your cover photo and profile pictures will be the first thing people see, so focus on putting your best art or logo here always include a directly to the products displayed in the image, not just to your portfolio. Ah, let's explore a few effective social media attack. Social proof People tend to do things they see other people doing. Do you want to see this in action? Go to a popular tourist destination and take a photo with a unique pose. Make sure you hold it for a long time so all could see, then walk of it away and wait. You will see others making the same boat. It's pretty funny any way we can use the same principle by sharing the products we sell with a message like just sold in Australia to Bob are hosting using Hoot Suite. A free WHO treat account allows you to schedule 30 social media posts. You can quickly schedule all of your new products for the following month, saving you a lot of time later on sharing with groups on Facebook. If you're making niche content, share with groups interested in this niche on Facebook. This is free targeted marketing. Also invite them to like your Facebook page or other social media. Hashtags Hashtag Our King on Instagram and Twitter. Well written hashtags will get you new eyes and followers, even if some of them are. Robots are showcased sites. There are signs that focus on artists. These could be great for you and get your images re indexed by search engines. Somewhat charge money, but there are many for free as well, like deviant art, which you can also sell your images on Behan's Drivel art station. Carbon made and deviant art are just a few of these websites long about your work. Blogging about your work is good on so many levels, and your blood can be anything you want to make it. You can blawg about your new art showcase Collections of art show art techniques you have developed. Talk about art or even a niche subject you are creating art about. A blogger is something like a garden that takes a wild fruit, but it can be rewarded beyond financially, allowing you to connect with and help others grow your reputation and perceived brand value . Build an email list, and it can branch off into many other fruitful things. Medium blogger wordpress dot or tumbler Wicks and many others offer free blogging tools. You could also make your own website using free software like WordPress June law are dribble a note about protecting your images. When you're posting images outside of the sale sites, it's important not to oppose the full resolution of these images. This can make it easy for people to find your images and use them without paying. This can be a big issue if you're selling stock photography, especially if somebody you were posted on a free site. To get around this, you can water mark your pictures or scale them down to a very small size less than one megapixel using smaller images. It's great because you can link them back to your sales page, and they'll still look good on your walk 16. Success Formula: this success formula. The success formula tells you how much money you will make with your portfolio. Once we know this formula, we can improve each component of the formula to become even more financially successful with our artwork. We can also use the formula to predict our success in a variety of situations. Here's a successful me up for a single piece of our for each piece. Number of views. Times a conversion rate as a decimal times. The average profit per sale equals the total profit. Full success formula. The total number of views which can be broken down into the number of images in your portfolio. Times the average number of views times the conversion rate as a decimal times, the average profit per sale equals a total profit. You need to make a few sales before you can calculate your success using this formula, but you can use it to make predictions before you make any sales. Let's look at calculating your profits. It's easiest to calculate for one piece. First hug in the number of views directly for the conversion rate divide. The number of times has been sold by the total number of you find out the total amount of time, this piece of our soul and the amount of money that you made five in total amount of money you've made by a number of sales, get your average products for sale will end up with a number that shows you the amount of money that you made for this piece or total problem. But you could have just found out your total profit by looking at your sales. So what's the benefit of this formula? Benefit is, you can now see the three components that go into this. By increasing any one of these figures, you will make more money predicting success. This formula is meant to be used for predictions Now that you know where you are. Take some time to play with the numbers in this formula, saying what would happen if you put the views toe one million? Seeing what would happen if your conversion rate improved by 10% and seeing what would happen if your profit Purcell was raised, figure out what image would make the most money with some more exposure and focus on promoting that image first and furthest, maximizing success. Looking at this formula we can see the exact ways to maximize the profitability of our portfolio. First of all, we could get a bunch of use for our work. We would also improve the viability of our our work, and finally, we can maximize our profit per sale. The biggest success factor will be your amount of views views you can directly influence, and by raising the views, you'll be raising your profit. It's slightly more difficult to improve the conversion re, but not impossible. And the profit per so may not be something you could change in all cases. Many times it's even better to lower this with the coupon code so you can drive more sales because of the nature of print, undermanned and stock photo business models. It isn't anymore work to sell 100 products than one product. We want all the sales we can get. Unit. We just make a little bit of money off every sale. Let's look at the three factors or components of this formula in death getting more views. We get more of use through free or paid promotion tactics. We're gonna outline free promotion tactics in detail in a later lesson. But for Now I want to give you an idea, our strategy to get you all excited. Free promotion tactics to give more views, we need to give more traffic. We want to create a Web off links that point to our profiles and sales pages, which will give us lasting traffic from search engines. We're gonna build this Web deliberately, using techniques that will talk about in the mastering metadata and free promotion lessons . Once we have this Web built, we will show up higher in search and image search results on Google and other search engines. Most of your traffic will likely come from image search engines. You're selling images and products with images printed on it. The people who see them are the ones who want to buy it. So we want to target image search results right away. The easiest way to do this is to share the image and product sales page on Pinterest Danilo steam it, read it and other sites that are well respected by search engines. These websites will make a copy of her image and stored on their servers. The image they create will be re indexed by search engines and this new image will be more likely to show up an image. Search results. This new image will point to a page that has a link to your sales page, bringing you traffic right where you want it. We're gonna talk about this and more ideas in the free promotion less. Make a bunch of art having a bunch of art, and your portfolio is the best way to make steady sales, and you'll get more traffic and appeal to a wider range of customers. Remember, in the full success formula, our views, which are what we have the most control over, can be broken down into the number of images in your portfolio times. The average number of views having more images means that you're going to get more views for years to come. I started making sales daily when I had around 1000 images in my portfolio, and I recommend that you shoot for this number as well. To make this easier, you can create variations of your art by re coloring it or changing a few elements. Recovering is very easy for vector art, as you can use the re color artwork panel and adobe illustrator to quickly change the colors of your entire piece of art. In photo shop, you can use the color balance hue and saturation curves or channel mixer adjustment layers , just to name a few ways. Be sure to upload all of your portfolio. This task may seem daunting if you already have thousands of images, but I teach you in the mastering metadata lesson. How to make up loading so easy. You can watch movies, YouTube or classes while you upload your work, making it something you look forward to. Improving the conversion of our our viability or sales conversion will be influenced by a few things. First of all, how many people are interested in buying this? Our work or what is the total size of your target market? Your target market is usually a demographic segment of the population, particularly in age, range and culture, and then further defined by their needs or interests. Once you know who is interested, focus your promotion where they hang out online for them to buy something, they need a benefit from it. What is the benefit that your print on the man product provides someone? Is it something they can identify with? Something they can give us a gift, something that uniquely combines two of their interests. The best selling products will evoke an emotional reaction in the viewer and be something that they need, or at least think that you, because they feel it expresses them uniquely and completely. This emotional reaction is very important when we create things that people are going to physically have, where were put in their homes. When we talk about selling stock photography, what is the use that somebody would have for this image? How can they use your artwork in their project? Can you provide something that other stock photos can't or position it so that the right people find it? First, we're gonna go over some tips to position your stock photos in the mastering metadata lesson. There are more factors that go into by ability. Like how easy does the manufacturer make the buying process? Now this may be out of our hands for a lot of different sites, but when we're creating our own storefront, we can control this and dial it in to streamline the purchasing process. My crew stock sites are a great example of the buying process, helping artist many micro stocks sites offer monthly credit subscriptions that would disappear if not used. This is good for the artists because people have credits that they need to use at the end of the month and download MAWR images, and they would otherwise. Another way to improve the viability of the art is toe organize it so that people can find the things that they actually want. We're gonna talk about this in the lesson on optimizing stores. Focus. Energy on What's Working The best way to improve the overall conversion rate of your portfolio is to create more pieces that are similar to your pieces that air selling the most truth is there's little correlation between how awesome you think your work is and how much it will actually sell. What really matters is how awesome other people think it is or how useful it is in the case of stock photography. While you can guess at this, your guess is an opinion and your sales are fax. Identify your top sellers and see how you can expand on these topics The next time you are making art. Take note of what is working for the title and tags so you can use this knowledge when uploading future work. Increasing profit for sale profit per sale is influenced by many factors. First of all, is your product better position for a sticker or a T shirt? Or if you're selling stock photography, are you selling more credit sales or extended licenses? And then, of course, there's a commission that said by the print undermanned and the stock photography sites. Let's focus on what we can control that will increase our profit for sale on print on demand suggests higher ticket items appeared the website. We usually get the choice of which product our image is displayed on by the full. By setting the default display toe a hoody instead of a T shirt, we may increase the sales of hoodies, which is twice as profitable as T shirts. Seek out the more expensive option and show your art. Their first people will still be able to buy your design on anything, but they may fall in love with the more expensive item. The first time they see on stock photo sites upload higher resolution artwork with selling stock, you almost always get paid more for a higher resolution down make sure that you're rendering out your art and biggest possible, and make sure that your image is not getting shrunk down before you upload. Stock photography sites don't usually give you the opportunity to increase your prices, but many print on demand services do. On red bubble, you probably sell a lot of stickers, which have a low profit for sale. It may be worthwhile to increase the default margin of your stickers so that you can capitalize on these sales. You can experiment with raising the prices of your products and see if it works for you. The higher price may drive some customers away, but if your piece provides the extra value, they will still buy it. You can check out the margins for each print on demand site in the spreadsheet. The success formula will also help you understand which of your products will make the most money. When advertised, you could select from your top selling products and increase the views in the success formula and see how they should perform. When you drive more traffic to them, multiply the conversion rate by the average profit to figure out what is the best product to advertise in your shop. This is usually the items with the highest conversion rate. But if you haven't item that has particularly high profitability could be. This is well, as they make money for you will be for products that are highly targeted. If you make a product that has high emotional engagement for a group and are able to target them through advertisement, you will make money. If you just try to advertise a design or your shop to a general audience, you almost always will lose my. I've never used paid advertising and have sold many thousands of images, so I can't speak too much further on advertising. If you wish to go that paid advertising route, there are plenty of resource is available online, including tons of people teaching classes about targeting Facebook ads. We're gonna give you plenty of free promotion techniques in the lesson on free promotion. If you'd rather go that route coupons if you're running your own WordPress site for a print full print if I or similar service coupon codes are a great way to increase yourself while they do lower the average profit in the formula, the increase of use and conversion rates and make you more money. Also, whenever the print on demand or stock for the sites have a sale, it's a good idea to go ahead and shoot a message out to your following, along with a few of your most sold products. If you're running your own storefront, Rue Commerce and Shopify have built in coupon functionalities, and so do many of the other options. What we learned in this lesson we learned understanding that components to our financial success and how to use the success formula to estimate our earnings if we get more views, can burn better or increase the profitability of our products. Now when you watch this lesson, you may have thought a math, but we're going to take all the map out of the equation for you right now. With this handy spreadsheet created for you, you could get to this spreadsheet by going to either the stock voter sites with a print on demand site spreadsheet and then clicking down here at the bottom before you start your going to need to make a copy of this spreadsheet so that you can edit it. Good to file, make a copy or If you prefer, you can download an Excel spreadsheet and edit it on your computer. When you're working with the spreadsheet, be sure not to mess with any of these formulas and only edit the cells, which are yellow. When you're here, you'll see the successful for each piece, and then if you throw down, we'll see a full success formula section. To use this spreadsheet, you change the values in the self, which are yell to use each piece section. Go ahead and put in your information up here and you'll see automatically the Converse rate . An average profit per sale are generated for it to make predictions for the future, you can stroll down here and all of these yellow cells yet. So in this road you can change the views and get the prediction. So I'm gonna go ahead and drop the views down by 10 and we'll see that our profit goes from 9 54 95 But what if I put it to one million? Now you can see our profit is 38,000 and here we can change our conversion. Three. I'm gonna go ahead and change it to the default it was before, and you can see the profit goes back to where it should be. And then I'm gonna change it to 5% and you can see our profit goes up over 2000. You could do the same thing down here in the average profit for sale. Let's put it up to eight, which is a lot, but it will show us that we get $1480. And finally, in the last row, we can change all of these values with views up to 10,000. So you profit go up, change your conversion rate to 6% see a good 21 you can even mess with profit for sale. Let's drop it down one and profits back down 600. And you also see that the number of images soul over here is changing as well. This unless you know how many images you should expect to sell, the full success formula works the same way. Enjoy this tool. Use it to help you predict what type of money will be making how many cells you should get if you make certain changes in your portfolio in yourself, 17. Optimizing Your Stores: optimized new stores. Our goal for optimizing our store is to convert fuse into followers, favorites and sales. Optimizing your store will not only improve your sales will improve your chances of being noticed by the sites, craters, blogger owners and influencers all over the Internet. Let's introduce the three branches of optimization and then talk about specific strategies for each one personality. Let your customers know who you are, why you create art and what you create. Forge a personal connection with them and become a happy place in their memory organization . Organized content can be easily found and bought. This is absolutely necessary after you have more than 20 or so pieces of art in your portfolio. How will we know what is working? Analytics Analytics give you valuable information about your traffic and traffic sources so you can make informed decisions about growing your brand. Now on to the strategy personality in your profile. Most stock photography and print undermanned sites allow a short bio or profile description . Your description should show your personality and tell a little bit about your work and why you make it in your descriptions like you're having a conversation with somebody just met at a party. Pretend like you're speaking to a really interesting and interested Pierre who will understand everything you say, and you don't have to cater anything to their ears. Always remember that humans love stories. When you could bring people on a journey, they will come with you. Your description isn't a resume, so skip the I was born in Oxford in 1984 on a warm summer night. Maids in your profile. Many sites will let you add some social media links and more in your portfolio. Always use the provided way to add links. Win avail. If you want to add more links than are accepted by default at them in the description or bio of your profile, some websites don't like it when you link to their competitors, so read their policy. Before you do this, you can add links to your other profiles and stores all over the web. This will help both people and search engines find your art improving your rankings on all the profiles. This works because you're creating back links from a site Google already knows and trusts profile images any time a website allows you to add images such as red bubble, allowing you to add heather and images in the description. Take the opportunity. You can use the images to showcase some of your top selling artwork, as well as add aesthetic appeal and personality to your shop. Its fourth The time to go to photo shop and create a custom image, not just robe any piece of art from your portfolio categories. Almost all print on demand and stock photography sites have something called collections or categories, which are a group of related pieces. Some sites allow you to group your artwork into these collections, and some sides even allow you to create groups with the works of anybody else on the site. Using anybody's work is especially popular on stock photography sites. These groupings of anybody's work help the people looking for a certain topic to find high quality resource is, and the owners of the site don't have to do as much to curry collections. That house only your work help people better looking at one piece of your work by in similar pieces that you have created without using collections, someone would have to go to your profile and scroll through all of your work to find your similar work, and that usually doesn't happen when you add the word to a category. It was show up on the sales page for all of the artwork it is group with. This brings people who are looking at one piece of work to all the other pieces that you're selling that they might want to buy. I want to stress the importance of categorizing your work. Understand that all in all, people are lazy when they're browsing there, just clicking on the art they see on the current page, which catches their eye. They rarely go digging through your profile to find something, but they will readily click on interesting art that shows up on the pages they're already looking at. Capitalize honest by showing them your best art collections. When you're making collections, put your best art in the collection first, because sometimes that's what's gonna show up first from the sales page. You should aim for all of your artwork to being at least one category or collection with similar artwork on your profile. There's no problem putting art into multiple categories or collection, increasing the amount of works that show up on the individual sales page on websites where you can create collections involving anybody's work, consider creating a useful collection using the best art on the site and adding just a few pieces of your work to the collection. Your work will benefit from being next to all the other best art, and that art will benefit from being in the collection as well. This will bring more eyes to your work. Testing your shop. View your shot from the eyes of the consumer, log out and go to your store. Pretend like you've never been here before and see where your eye goes. Start cleaning around and see where you end up. Do the same thing on some of your individual product sales pages. Next, ask somebody in real life to go to your page while you watch that. See where they look and what they click. Make sure not to give them any direction. Just tell them to browse as they would if you were not their yoga insight what an average customer would dio afterward. Ask them what they like the most and what they notice first. Also, take note of what they didn't see and where they didn't go. Use this inside the better funnel traffic where you want it to go. Google analytics. If you can include Google analytics codes in your profile or website read, Bubble does this, and so do some other sites. You usually find this under settings. You need a free Google Analytics account to make it work. If you're running a WordPress site, all you have to do is install Google analytics plugging and put in your coat. 18. Keyword Research: keyword research. In this lesson, we're gonna talk about finding new keywords as well as researching which keywords are going to work best. If you can't beat them, join up. And if you can't think of the best keywords off the top of your head stealing from people whose keywords are actually working, we're gonna do that by looking at the top aides of Red Bubble for a search term that we know best represents the art that we're going to make and you could see on the front page we have the top selling designs, including two from me on my other account, Sir Douglas Fresh. So what we're gonna do is we're just going to open up a few of the top sellers in a new tab . And then we're gonna find the keywords by making sure that you have artists notes clicked. And then when you do, it will show right down here so we can see that these are some pretty good cures. We're gonna go ahead and copy them by doing one of these little draggy things control. See? And then we want to make sure we have some sort of a metadata document open and we're going to paste without formatting and then on red. But we have to go through and do a little bit of formatting, so they're nice to work with. And the first thing you want to do is just go through and delete all the key words that you know that you're not going to use here. You can see one of the key words is the name of an author of a book called The Tree of Life . So to avoid any problems were not going to use his name. All right, now we've got about 20 or so decent keywords. We're going to go back to the other one and then find some more keywords and we're going to do the same thing. Except for this time. We're also going to delete duplicates. Now that we've got some pretty good keywords, we need to find a few more. So we're going to expand upon our best keywords using Google keyword planner and Google trends. We want to do a little bit more research as to how many people are searching these keywords as well as find some keywords related to these keywords that they're also searching. We're going to start off with Google Key work planet, and you can just google it and then hit. Go to keyword planner, and you are gonna need an ADWORDS account to use this. Although you can sign up for one for free, you don't have to give them your credit card or pay any money to use tools. So once you get there, click on, find your keywords and we're going to have to put in a few of our best keywords in order to do the research. And when you got a few in there, go ahead and click. Get started and you'll see that we have some information here. What we want to focus on is this row right here and we're gonna get ideas for keywords as well as some information as to the average monthly searches, although I don't know how accurate is because I feel like people are searching Megatron symbol more than 1000 times a month. Nonetheless, there are some great keywords here. We can use spiritually geometry, divine geometry, holy geometry to go ahead and pick a couple and move him over. And here's a great one. Tourists I hadn't even thought to use that work or escape. I see another great keyword, another great tool that you can use, which will give you mawr. Insight as to how many people are searching for your turn is Google trends. We're going to go ahead and search sacred geometry and you can see you'll get some related queries as well as related topics down here and here. You can see we get a really great keyword. We should have since the beginning. Markaba. So I went ahead and added Markaba as well as a different spelling of Markaba. And look at this. We can see the interest over time of these three terms and we get some valuable information . And that is that more people are searching for a Merc about within a than mark about with an H. I hope you can see how valuable these two tools are when you're looking for key words, and I know this is silly, but if all else fails, you can simply google a term to see how many results it is. Get it to let you know, sort of how popular is. I know it isn't very scientific, but it does work. So here I Googled the two spellings of Markaba and you can see within a We have 3.2 million results and within a H we have less than a 1,000,000 results. And there's also another spelling here. So let's go ahead and Google that, and we can see that the original Markaba spelling is the most popular. It is probably the one that we would prefer to target with our keywords. So keep on doing this until you've got at least 50 keywords and then go back and re order your list so that most popular keywords or the most search terms are first. And if you want to figure that out, you can use Google, or you can use Google trends. 19. Resizing Images with Automator: criticizing images with automate er. It's time to show you something that will make your life so much easier, and that is automated. So let's say we want to upload this image to Adobe Stock now we can't do it because it's a picture of pickle Rick. But saying we could we would still be here with an error, saying that our image is too big because it's 11,000 by 11,000 pixels and the max size is 10,000 by 10,000. Picks is also What if I wanted this image to be a background? Maybe I want to put it up on the free sites, but I don't want to do the full things. So I think, Hey, I can create a cellphone background or a desktop background out of this image. Well, all of this is very easy to do with automate er And not only that you conduce ah, 100 images, 1000 images all at the same time with automate er with just one button click. So to get to automate er, just search for it, or good your applications under utilities and then choose new document, and we're just going to do a workflow and the course we go over folder actions and services . But let's just choose workflow for now. So once we're in here to get to all of the possibilities for images, I recommend you just type in images here, and that way you don't have to sort through a 1,000,000 different options. So here's all the things that we can do with our images. The moose useful is crop images, flip images, which is really good. If you have the front of a print on demand shirt and the back, you could make them seamless by flipping. The image is also rotating. Images can be helpful, and so can change type of images with change type. You can easily go from a PNG to a J peg that most of the stock photography sites prefer. So first off, let's tackle how to scale our image down to 10,000 by 10,000 pixels. Now you can choose this scale images, or you can also do it in crop images as well. And I'm gonna go ahead and do the crop images one because it's got a few more options, and I'm gonna show you how to solve the second problem of making a desktop background. So let's drag this over and we get this message and it says, Hey, you want us to make a copy of her image before we apply this transformation to it. Now, this is very important because if you don't do this, you will actually lose your original image. Let me say that again. If you do not copy it, this program will change your original image and there's no way to get it back. So always click. Add a copy unless you have ah, copy somewhere else. So when we're here, we see that we have the option to copy it to whichever folder we wish. And I'm going to go ahead and choose this folder 10-K that I have set up on my desktop, and then we're going to crop these to a dimension. So we want him to be 10,000 pixels by 10,000 pixels. Okay, so if we just run this, it's going to crop out the center of our picture, which isn't what we want. So we're going to go ahead and add scale to width to this, and it doesn't matter which one you pick for a square image. But usually you want to scale to the short side. Because if you scale to the long side, right, and then you're cropping to something that's bigger, it's going to give you this black background, which you usually don't want. So if you get it wrong, just changed the setting and then try again. So we're good to go, But we're missing one very important thing, and that is the pictures. So we're gonna go ahead and dragged them in here over top of the copy finder items. And now we're ready to go so you can go ahead and hit run, and it'll run through. This process is okay. Now we have the images and they are here, and we can go ahead and check that they are 10,000 by 10,000 pixels, and they look just fine. All right, Perfect. Now we want to go ahead and do the other transformation that we wanted to do. And I created a new folder named Backgrounds. So we're going to change this to that folder, all right? And now we're just going to change the settings on crop images. Okay, And now we should be good to go. So let's go ahead and run this and it's done. And here we have the cropped images, which can be used for desktop backgrounds. And it's just a Z Z is that I hope that this saves you guys a ton of time. And if you're looking for more tips and tricks, check out my other class on automate er. 20. Congratulations!!: you did it, you made it to the end of the course.
