1. Secret Acts of Kindness Experiment: Hello. Welcome to this tiny, yet powerful and experimental class. You probably already know how kindness elicits dopamine and serotonin in your brain and makes you feel happy. In this class, you'll be adding an extra layer of happiness to yourself and others with a simple and secret act of kindness. Let's not hesitate and get to it straight away. 2. Invitation to Join: The inspiration for this class comes from a theory I have about expectations and an experience I had with my neighbour's dying lettuce seedlings. Our fickle weather here caused the seedlings to be either too dry or too wet. So I put them all in new soil in pots. It was a simple act, but it was already making me feel good. And afterwards, I decided not to tell him that I did it. And somehow, I was engulfed with a huge wave of happiness. I'm not certain, but I think this happened because I took out the expectation of a thank you and I added the mystery for him. I would love it if you would experiment with this too and consciously let go of the desire to hear a 'thank you'. The receiver will be able to keep the gratitude for themselves, and I think this will add extra happiness, mystery, and excitement to them as well. In this class, I invite you to do something similar and make someone happy by doing a kind act secretly. Just something small. You will share it here in your project, but you won't reveal yourself to the receiver. On Instagram and YouTube, you see several people surprising others by giving them $1,000, for example, which is really great, but I believe that doing it secretly is more powerful. Will you try and experiment and test this with me? You can start your project here under 'Projects and Resources' and add a cover image and a few words about the deed and its effect on you. In the next video, I'll share some ideas for small acts of kindness. 3. Kind Acts Inspiration: In this video, I'll share a few examples of small good deeds you can do, but I'm certain you can come up with good deeds just by looking around you and wondering, what can I do to help? You can start close to home. Are there cigarette butts or leaves lying around in front of someone's house? Remove them. Clean someone's front door. I would be extremely happy and surprised if someone did mine. Are you out for drinks? Pay for someone's drink without telling them. Make sure the waiter doesn't spill the beans. Increase your happiness by not waiting around for the effect. I think it comes from the selfless deed and not from the response, but you could, of course, experiment with this. Write a kind note or make a funny drawing for someone and slip it into their mailbox or shopping bag, or hide it in a friend's house for them to find later. Leave books or other non- food products in gift boxes, so people can find them and use them. No act is too small. Finally, don't be too strict with the secret part of this project. Of course, if you can be kind to someone, and it can only be done with them present, don't hesitate to do it. You may also share these acts here. In the final video, I'll share some extra love for you. 4. Share the Kindness: Start your project and keep updating it with new acts of kindness to inspire us all to do more kind acts ourselves. Remember, no act is too small. Let me know in a short review how this class has affected you, so more people will join and follow me to be the first to receive updates on new classes and giveaways. Everyone to do a project and leave a review in this class immediately wins the Secret kindness Award. You may download it from the project section and add it to your cover image. By doing so and by thus sharing the love and inspiring others to join us, you will enter the secret acts of kindness giveaway and have a chance to win an extra reward, a full year of skill share for free. The first year of skill share has been won, but there will be more chances, and I will add other prizes along the way. I will announce the winners in the section below this cla and in the comments of the project itself. Make sure to turn on e mail notifications here on skill share. The more acts of kindness you do and share in your project with the picture and a few words, the more chances you have at winning. Now, let's get to it and spread the secret kindness. By
