1. Intro - What we will be covering: How's it going, everybody Corbin here from Zoho marketing.com and I am so excited to have you in this Pinterest course today, we're gonna be going over lots of different things. We're going to start off with why you should even consider Pinterest for your business. Then we're gonna be going over different things like how to set up a Pinterest business account and all the different optimizations and things you need to know to set it up for success. Then we'll go over different ways on how to actually post inside a Pinterest and how to rank inside a Pinterest so that people will actually find your pins. And of course, find your business and go to your blog or your website or your Etsy store, whatever MBB to go through and actually convert and get sales. And then we'll wrap it up with some more tips and tricks and little hacks that I have learned along my Pinterest journey that will hopefully accelerate your growth. So if all that sounds good to you, then you are in the right place. And I am so excited for you. Before we do jump in, I do want to talk briefly about my Pinterest journey and why I love teaching people about Pinterest so much. So if we look over here to this screen, this is the first Pinterest account that I created. This was about a year and a half ago. It's a DIY home improvement kinda Pinterest account. Essentially, I was just doing DIY project and I started posting them on Pinterest. From that, I was able to grow and account to about 115,000 followers as it stands today, generating millions of views and thousands and thousands of people to my blog. And it has truly been life-changing for me. And because of that, it makes me so excited to share some of this with other people. So they too can experience the same growth that I've seen on Pinterest and hopefully can change the projection of your business or your blog or whatever you're doing to start inside a Pinterest. 2. Why You Should Consider Pinterest: Let's actually dive into some of the reasons why you should consider using Pinterest for your business. So if we scroll over here, the first, the first point that I want to address is a very important one. And this is the biggest reason why I love Pinterest so much. And that is the fact that this Pinterest is both a social media platform and a search engine. And what this means is when users go to the platform, they have high intense to find something. Most of the time they're going to actually search something. They're not just going to mindlessly scroll through their feet. They're looking for a problem or how to do something or a specific product. As a result, the users that are going there have very high purchase intent, which is something that we're going to address in this next bullet. But I want to talk about some of these other things of why this is so beneficial that Pinterest is a social media platform and a search engine. So users have high intent, but also posts have longer shelf-life. Now, what I mean by that is if you post something on Instagram or Facebook, chances are your followers are going to see that for maybe the next 24 to 48 h and then it gets buried in the feed and nobody else, Never, most of the times never to be seen again. The great thing about Pinterest is every pin that you post the opportunity to last for months, years, whatever it may be. And as a result, it allows you to build this massive snowball of content that is always searchable and is evergreen. This is a super powerful concept that I think a lot of people don't understand when it comes to Pinterest. The fact that you can post something and maybe a year later, you can start, you can still be getting clicks from that. And traffic to your website or blog is a very, very powerful. The last thing is going along with that is you can rank for specific keywords. Now if you play your cards, right? And you're really strategic about this, you can outright people that have more followers and it's not that hard to do. And as a result, when people are searching for your product or service or a specific keyword that you want to rank for inside of Pinterest, you can be there at the top of the top of the results and beginning that traffic and sales from Pinterest directly going on to the next point, as I mentioned, people on Pinterest have high shopping and 1080, 3% of weekly Pinterest users make a purchase based on the content that they see from brands inside of the platform. That is massive. A lot of people are inside of Pinterest and our shopping and looking for products or services that your business probably offers. The last thing is that there are 431 million active users on Pinterest. As you know, that's a big number. There's a big audience, There's lots of eyeballs inside of Pinterest, all with the opportunity for you to go and capture that inside of your business. And I'm kind of in the way here, so I'm going to scroll just a little bit. But myths and misconceptions about Pinterest is they think that a lot of people think that only women inside of Pinterest, but as you see here, move and make up 60% of Pinterest. But males have risen by 40% year over year. So it is just continuing to get larger and larger market. So they're both male and female. Inside of Pinterest, I can attest that I'm a male and I'm inside of Pinterest all the time and I love it. And those are just a few reasons on why your business should be on Pinterest. 3. Setting Up Your Pinterest Account for Success: In this video, we're gonna be talking about how to set up your Pinterest business account, how to optimize it, how to set it up for the best results possible. Now for those who aren't familiar, there are two different account types inside of Pinterest. You have a personal account, Pinterest account that you can create and you have a business account. I'm going to encourage all of you to go through it, whether it is a personal account or not, to create a business account. And there are a couple of different reasons for that. We're going to discuss that in this video. The first one is that it allows you to link to a website. If we scroll over here to my account, as you see right here, there is a clickable link to a website that you can add. This feature is only available if you have a business account. If you have a regular account, it does not allow you to do that. The third thing is, is it allows you to access analytics to your account so you can understand what is actually working. Which posts are driving clicks, which posts are driving impressions? Which posts are basically growing your account. And as you see up here in this top left hand corner, that's where you can access those analytics. And the third reason is, which is an optional reason, one that I don't do a ton but is to actually access to run Pinterest ads. So if you wanted to run ads inside your account, it gives you this little tab where you can have those kind of features as well. As I mentioned, it is very optional. Now for some of you, you may be wondering, Oh crap, I created a personal account and now I want to move it over to a business account. If that is you, no worries. You can simply do that. You can change your settings anytime by going over to the settings tab in your Pinterest account, they're going to account settings and then account changes. And you can switch it over to a business or a personal account to a business account or vice versa. We are going to be setting up our account right from the beginning as if we are just starting Pinterest. Now a lot of you might be doing this through the app, but I'm going to go over it just to the desktop here. And we're going to start creating our business account. So obviously we're just gonna go through and add our email real quick. And once we fill that out, then we're going to continue here. And here you can go through and change the name of your account if you'd like. So welcome to Pinterest. I'm gonna change this to something called Mosul house. This is a new e-commerce source that I have right here. So we're gonna be building a Pinterest account for this one specifically. We're going to hit submit. And then you can go through and edit this if you'd like. We're going to hit Next here. Then it's gonna go through and ask a lot of different questions. We're just going to breeze through these. I do recommend picking categories that are related to your niche here so that you can get ideas as well. We're gonna hit Done, Done. And as you see, it's going to drop this into something like this. And the first thing that we're gonna wanna do is come over to this top right hand corner. And we're going to want to hit this little button that says convert to business. And as you see this, this outline, some of the different ways that the business account is better. So we're going to hit upgrade. Once again, this does not cost any extra money, is free as well. We're going to upgrade here. And now it is going to ask us to go through and build our profile. So we're going to grab a image here real quick. So there we have our logo. Now, I will say if you do have, if you do want to show your face and your profile picture, I do recommend this. Showing your face is a little bit more personal when you're looking at the brands and things like that. So if there is an option to show your face or if you'd like to do that, I would actually recommend it in this case, I'm just going to add the logo here because I don't necessarily want to show my face for this brand. I don't want my face to be the brand of this, but something to keep in mind. So then we're now going to go through and add a business name, Mozah house. And we are going to add our websites. And if you don't have a website for whatever reason you can, of course, click this button right here and you can come back and visit this at anytime if you wanted to go and update that website, you can keep your, you can add your region and you can add your region and you can add your region and language. And we're gonna hit Next. And I didn't add a.com there, so I'm definitely want to do that next. And then it's going to ask a lot of few different questions and I recommend filling these out to the best you can. What does our brand focus on? We are going to be on home. My goal is to sell more products, drive traffic to my site, and grow band awareness next, and then describe your business. This is important as well because this is what Pinterest is gonna kinda categorize you as. So, I would recommend choosing whatever one of these is most applicable to you. And I know a lot of people use Pinterest to sell on Etsy. So if you are selling on Etsy, you're gonna wanna click here for me, I'm going with Shopify. And I'm going to say, yes, I am interested in maybe advertising for this brand later on. Not that it really matters all that much. That will then drop us into a page that looks something similar to this. And what we're gonna wanna do is actually come back over here again. Now we need to actually edit our profile. So if you click on your little logo at the top right hand corner and hit edit profile. It's going to take you something that looks something like this. And I want to run through some tips here to help get your account more exposure. The first thing inside of this name, what you want the format to look like here is you want the name of your brand and then you want an explanation of what you do. An example of that, for instance, if you look here, here's my name inside of my actual user profile, but then next to it, I have DIY house projects for, for beginners. So if we come over to this example, for instance, we are an e-commerce store that sells home and home decor. So for this one, we're gonna do Mozah home, and then we're gonna do trendy. And we're just going to type in trendy home decor like a description of what we do. So if you are an Etsy seller, you could say, My name is Corbin and slash. I do. I sell wallpaper or I send cell printable, graphic designs, whatever it may be, just go through and talk and have a brief description of what that may look like. Next we have the About section and this is very important as well. This is where you'd come to you and tell your story and actually add some different keywords related to your brand as well. E.g. if we look over at my account, I have this profiles for anybody looking for new DIY house projects. And then after that I go through and I add a bunch of different topics and things that I actually post about accent walls, shelves shipped, lap home decor. If we come back over here to this one, we have the, what I'm going to say is this bozo house is the world's leading expert for procuring the trendiest items for everyone, all in one place. We're going to add things like desks. So PFAS, wall decor, just add all, are essentially add all of these different keywords that you think are going to be relevant for your business. So I'm gonna leave it right there. You can kind of imagine what that's gonna look like. You can add more as well, but I'm going to stop right there. Next you can go through and add your pronouns if you'd like. We're not going to for this example because this is just a business, it's not a personal profile. Then we have our website, our username. If you want your email address to be public, you can add this inside of here. If you have a physical location, you can go through and add those as well. Now we're going to hit save. And if we come back over to our profile, now we have this. Now we are all set up. We have our logo, we have our username, and we have our description all in one place. If you ever wanted to go through and actually edit this again, you can click on this little button right here, go to Settings, and you'll be right back to this section where we're at. We can go through and edit your profile even more. But now your profile is all set up and you're ready to move on to the next step and actually start doing your keyword research and start painting. 4. Keyword Research, Boards, and Pins: Okay, so now we have our profile just about finished. You'll notice here that we don't have the cover image. Actually, this is an optional thing because as soon as you start creating pins or boards, pinterest will take those automatically and put them dynamically into this cover image as well, so it's not needed. But if you wanted to create your own, what I do is I come over to actually a free tool called Canva, which a lot of people I'm sure have heard of. And simply go through and create a 800 by 450 pixel template and actually just took this template right here and then put mojo house inside of it. And as you can see, the size is 800 by 450. And then I just downloaded that. And so now I'm gonna come back over here and customize our photo real quick. We're going to browse, drop this one inside of here. And then now we have that cover image inside there and hit Done. And boom, there is our cover image as well. So now that we have this now officially all complete, the next step is to go through and create boards for Pinterest. Now, if you are a brand new account, obviously, people are not going to follow you. If there's nothing, there's no reason to follow you. The great thing about Pinterest is you don't necessarily need a massive amount of content to show a lot of content. And what I mean by that is you can create boards and add other people's pins inside of those and start ranking for those specific keywords. And for those who are new to Pinterest, boards are basically just ways. A bunch of pins put them inside of a basket. And when people search for those, as say a certain idea. So maybe wall decor, you go to that board and then inside there, there's lots of different pins in that. Then I can show you what that means. We're quite good. Please go over here and we search for boards, and we look for a wall decor. You're going to see that it's going to add all of these different boards. And this one has 700, 746 pins, this one has 2000 pins. If we click inside of here, there's all of these different pins and certain creators create these pins obviously. And as a result, they end up getting a lot of followers because they ranked very high in the search results. So what we need to do is start creating boards just like these. But before we do that, we need to have a strategy on how we go about picking our boards and how to rank for those boards. And that starts with keyword research. So what I like to do is when I'm starting a new brand new account as I'll go over to whatever my product or services. For instance, for me, its muzzle house. And I'll look and see the different product categories that I have for this one, that's pretty easy because I have this shop tab and it's laid out, but I have like bathroom, I have wall decor, I have racks, shelves and vases, kitchen lights, LEDs. So just kinda think of all the different products you have and a very top-level view. And what I'll do is I'll go to a spreadsheet like this and I'll just add these, these keywords. So bathroom, wall decor, lights, basis. These are the ones that I want to go through and create Pinterest boards for. Once you have that idea of high-level overview of what boards do you want to create? Your gonna come over to Pinterest. And we're going to take this example of bathroom. We're gonna come back over to Pinterest and we're going to go back over here. And we're going to search for the word bathroom. And what you're gonna notice is Pinterest is going to start auto completing popular searches. Now this is a very powerful tool that I think a lot of people overlook. Essentially, Pinterest is telling you what people are searching for insight of Pinterest. So let me see if I type in here. Bathroom, Bathroom ideas is the first one that comes up to me. I'm like, Oh, bathroom ideas, That's awesome. I can add a lot of different pins inside there for bathroom ideas. That's definitely keyword I want. So I'll come over here and I will just write down this keyword, bathroom ideas. So there's our first one. And if we come back over the bathroom interior design, that's another good one. Bathroom decor, bathroom remodel. These are all really good keywords. But I do want you to be aware of if you just type in bathroom is going to show you the top results. If none of these kind of fit inside of your niche, what you could actually do as well as you could take the bathroom. And then a, and that's going to show a bunch of different things that start with bathroom a and you could anybody okay. Bathroom accent walls. I like that one, whatever it may be. So we're gonna put bathroom accent walls. We're gonna come back over here and you'll see we've got accessories are ideas that are like there. And then we can go B, go through and bathroom backsplash ideas, bathroom backslash, bathroom, barn door, don't really love any of those. We're going to type C and we're going to see color schemes, color, bathroom counter organization. I love that one. So that's a little bit of a longer tail keyword, which means there's probably less people, less competition for something like this. So especially if you're a newer account, these are the keywords that you want to find. So I love this one bathroom counter organization that's going to go great with my niche. I'm going to write that one down for sure inside of there. I'm going to keep going. I'm going to do D decor, bathroom decor ideas. That's gonna be a good one for me a little, maybe a little bit competitive because it's showing up right there at the top, but definitely one that I want to be start creating content for. And typically I like the ones that are down here more because it seems like less people are going after those ones. So decor apartment, bathroom decor apartment, That's another great one. And you kinda get the idea. So what I'll go through and create all of these, typically when I'm starting a brand new Pinterest account, I like to have at least a minimum of five to ten boards that I've gone through and created. So now that we have an example of what this keyword research looks like, obviously you would continue going on and finding different boards that you could create for all of these different topics. But for the sake of this video, we're going to continue and start actually creating a board so I can show you that process and what that looks like. So I really like this one here for bathroom decor ideas. I think this is going to be the one that I'm going to focus on the most. So we're going to create this one first. So what we're gonna do is we're going to XOR this. We're gonna go back to our profile. So we're gonna do is come over here, hit this little Save button. And then in this corner just right up here, you're gonna see this little plus button. You're gonna hit that plus. And I realize I am in the way, so I'm gonna move this slightly here. Foreign that, but we'll move that back as soon as we can. And we're going to hit pins and then we're gonna hit this little thing called boards right here. Now this is important, so we need to go through and name this our keyword research that we're looking for. So bathroom decor ideas, if you don't have one to 20 pins inside of here, keep this board secret. But we're gonna make sure that we add 20 pins. So we're going to leave this unchecked and we're going to leave this public. So we're going to hit Create. And then now I am going to move myself over. Move this back over. So that doesn't drive you all crazy. There we go. And then Pinterest makes this really easy to go and find 20 pins related to this content. Now, don't worry right now that you're basically repeating other people's stuff. What we want to do is just build up a profile that looks complete and gives people a reason to actually follow us. So all I do is simply just go through and basically check most of these things that pinterest recommends because it means that most likely these are what users are looking for. So I'll make sure that I go through it and click at least 20 to 30 of these different pins inside of here and add it to my decor, my bathroom decor ideas Board. So we'll just go through, I like this one, like this one. And honestly the more you can add the better because then it gives people more of a reason to actually clicking inside your board because they think there's a lot of content inside of there. That looks good, Good, good. There we go. And done that. I think we have almost like, you see how easy that was to create that part of like 20 or 30 or 40 or so pins. I'm going to hit done. And you're gonna notice now we have 23 pins inside of this. We have bathroom decor ideas. Okay, and once we have this board, this is something that's really important that a lot of people miss because Pinterest kinda hides it. But if you come over here to these three little dots and click Edit board, we're then going to have our board name obviously, and then a description. This is where you can go through and sprinkle of the keyword that you're trying to rank for even more. And we're going to quickly add in this description here discovered bathroom ideas that are both beautiful and functional, perfect to kick-start your remodel. Something that is something that isn't just keep stuffing the keyword inside of there, but actually has relevance to maybe less people may be looking for. And then we're going to hit done inside of here. And there we have it. Our first board is now created. So if we come back over to our profile, you'll notice when we go to the Save, we have our bathroom decor ideas board. And now we just go through and repeat this process that we have ten or so boards. Now I know you may be thinking Corbyn when to actually get to my product or what does that look like? Trust me, that happens after we go through and create all these boards and we have a place to put our content. So I'm gonna go through and rush through and create all these different boards real quick. And we'll see you on the other side. And here we are. As you can see, we've now created a five to six boards. Each of them have at least 20 pins inside of here, go through and add as many pins as you would like the more the merrier. Same with boards, but I recommend a minimum of five that way your profile actually looks somewhat complete. So as we look over here in a matter of about a half an hour, we've gone through and added all this stuff and our profile actually looks like it has some activity inside of it. So if somebody does happen to land on our page, we get a higher chance of falling or interaction. But now let's talk about how to actually go through and sprinkle your products into these boards and what that process looks like. So we're gonna take this example of this boss decor living room board that I created. And we're going to now go and create our own pin to put inside of here. Now for me, my go-to place to create pins is, you guessed it Canva. And what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna show you how I quickly, like in a few minutes, just created this template right here to actually go through and showcase some of the decor on my website are some of the products that I have on my website. Namely these ones over here, all these vases. As you see this one, this one and this one. So basically what I did is I came over here to Canva. I'll show you exactly how to create this one. We're gonna come back over to home. You come into Canvas, you just hit this little Create button. And then you go to Pinterest and it's gonna have a nice template for you here, 1,500. We come over to this spot and you're going to notice in this left-hand column, it's going to give you all of these awesome times. As you can see, this is the recently used. But what I did is I just typed in decor templates to see what showed up. And this was one of the first ones at the top and I thought it looked good and it would be perfect for the products that I had. I click on this and then now, as you can see, these are in what's called a frame. So all I need to do is click error or go over to upload. I uploaded my media, so I have my 33 pictures right here. I just simply grabbed this picture, drag it in and boom, it's in that frame. I grabbed this one, put it in that frame right there. And if you want to adjust that, you could do that as well. We're going to leave it where it was that if I wanted to move it inside the frame, just double-click inside of there. And then we're going to come over to this third one ad that inside of there. Now I don't really love these colors for my brand specifically. So we're going to actually click on this and then change this to black. Just like that. We're going to grab these guys. We're going to change that to maybe a lighter gray. On right there and then this one, there we go. We're going to grab this guy and change that to a lighter gray as well. I kind of liked this little pink showing up that way. And then it has this website down here. We of course want to change this to Moscow. House duck. And then home decor inspiration works for me. So now we've gone through and create that pin it. And what I would honestly do in this situation is I would actually come back over here to these templates. There's i 0 back over here to templates. I would save this as is. And then I would go through and probably take these top view templates. And these are actually really good, especially for vases. They have a lot of them inside of here and just make, do as many as you can in one sitting. Just go through and create them and design them inside of a folder so that you have in there. But for the sake of this video, I'm going to move on as if we have a lot of different posts that we've gone through and created and actually go and put this inside the board so you can see what that looks like. So I am going to save this. We're going to download it real quick. So now let's go and actually put this into Pinterest. So now we are back inside of Pinterest. What we're gonna do is hit this little Create button here at the top. We're going to create a pin. It is going to load up for us some time. And here we are at the actual place to create our pins. We're going to click on this and first add our images. We've got our vases. There we go. And then it's going to come up with this annoying little tutorial thing we're gonna hit Next, Next, Next, Next. And we're just going to come through. Obviously we have the title, the destination link, which is very important. This is where you can actually link out to your product descriptions. And then we have the edit. So you can go through and actually edit your image inside of here if you'd like, you can get mixed in great batch images as well. And so here we are. We have our image, we need to add our title so we want to rank for the keyword base. What was our keyword here? I just got to remember, we want to make sure we add that inside there. So our keyword is vases, decor living room. So bases, this is decor, living room. We're going to sprinkle in our keyword here and the description beautiful basis for any living room style. And then explain what people can see in this picture. So we're gonna say picture. This is also good for rankings and other area for you to add keywords, a picture of three bases. And then here is where we can go through and add our tracking link. So we want to actually, just because this isn't going to a specific one, it's going to all these bases right here. We're going to add this. And then we're going to add our destination link. If you'd like to publish this later, you could go through and schedule it. Or if you want to publish it immediately, You could do that as well. We're gonna go through and actually publish this. And of course, before we published, we want to make sure that we have this in the correct board that we want. So we want this in the vase decor for living room. We're going to publish here. And there we did it. You created a pin. Now it's going to ask, you can go through and promote your pin if you'd like, but we're just going to keep it organic. We're going go to NCAR pin. And there it is looking beautiful as ever. If we come back over to our boards and we look at this one right here, you're going to notice that R, you're going to notice the arpanet showing up right here at the beginning. If we come back over to our profile as well and go to create it, we now have created our very first pin. Now of course, the next step is to go through and create as many pins as possible so that your account can be even more full as well. Going through and adding your product links and adding those to all those relevant boards and building out your Pinterest Empire. And of course, what this looks like if this starts ranking or showing up in the feed. When somebody clicks inside of this this pin, this pin, they'll have the option to actually go through and actually visit your website. As you see, there's a link to the website, and that's what makes Pinterest so powerful as you can link directly to your products from Pinterest and send people from Pinterest to your store, your Etsy store or whatever. It may be. Very powerful stuff. Hopefully you found this helpful. 5. 5 Tips To Grow Your Pinterest And Rank Faster: Alright, welcome back. Now we are at the bonus round where I'm going to quickly go through five tips to really give you the edge on the competition and to really be successful inside of Pinterest for a little hacks, if you will, or tips or whatever you want to call them. But let's kinda blow through these. Blow through these. The first one is when you are getting ready to create, a pin, will come back to those analytics when you're getting ready to create pen instead of just renaming a basic thing inside of here. Obviously I use Canva, but this applies to any kind of pen that you're creating. Go back to your keyword research, for instance, I want this one to rank for the keyword basis for centerpiece. We're going to grab that. We're going to come back over to Canva. And I'm going to make sure that this filename is vases for centerpiece. So when I go to actually go and download this, you're going to notice that here in this bottom left hand corner, or when that does download, download this guy. We're going to wait for this to upload. Your noticed that the actual file name down here is vases for centerpiece. Now this is really important because Pinterest does read this metadata. And so if you're actually naming the files when you're up the files of the keywords that you want to rank for into Pinterest, it's going to give you an even greater possibility of ranking for those keywords. We came over it back over to Pinterest here, and we created our pin. And we go through and drop this in here, you're going to list the actual keyword is faces for the actual file of this is basis for keyword, which is very good for us. And then we can go through and add that same keyword here. Put sprinkler in our description at it in the alt text of what people are seeing. And they all texts and then go through and add our destination. And I'm just doing this really quickly. But you guys get the idea. Put that inside of there, and then we have all the better chance of ranking for this particular keyword. Then I'm just going to publish that. Now we move on to tip number two. And tip number two involves finding ways to ride the trends of different things. And there's a very simple way to do this. If you come over here to your Pinterest account and you go to your analytics, you're going to notice this little thing inside of here that says trends. We're going to click inside of here. And this is a goldmine. Essentially, what you wanna do is go through and look at things that are searching this week. If some of these are inside of your niche, lucky for you, you found surging trends. Make sure you go and create boards for those specific ones and actually build some pins around that specific trend. I see right now, right now for mine, home decor is actually starting to trend a lot. So what I would do is go and create a board for home decor. And I would add as many images inside of there and then a lot of my own pins. And we can kind of look through and see some of the ideas of what asserting and C searches overtime home decor is starting to spike this week. So I want to ride that trend and it gives you related search trends as well. So front yard landscaping, lot of landscaping it looks like so if I'm doing something out for outdoor decor, obviously it starting to warm up. So that only makes sense for some niches, this is gonna be less obvious than others, but it's something that I want you to be aware of is this trends tab. I recommend coming in here and just kinda playing around typing different things, searching for your niche inside here and seeing what trends you can find. That leads us on to tip number three, which is if you come over here to the actual analytics tab and you go to your overview right here. It is going to take you to something that looks like this. We want to actually scroll and get this down to the last 24 h. Once we get this in the last 24 h, what this is going to start to show you is a pattern and obviously this is going to be more for when you've started posting frequently and you have somewhat of a falling. But this can give you an idea of when people are actually inside a Pinterest. And obviously Pinterest is an evergreen platform, but it is helpful to pin to post your pins during times when people are on the platform. So what I did is once I started to get some followers, I started to come in here daily and look back at the last 24 h and identify when most people were on Pinterest for me and I've noticed the pattern that it's around this time around 3M UTC, which is I'm not sure what time that is actually a MyTime. If you go back and you just for a week, just come in here and look at the last 24 h and just take notes on when your Pinterest followers are on there. You can identify probably the most, the most likely, the best time for you to pin, to get a little bit of extra juice inside of them. So that's tip number three. Tip number four, while we're inside of this Analytics tab, as well as if we move this out to like a larger date range, maybe say the last 60 days. It's very important to understand which of your boards are your best boards. So if we scroll down over here, you're going to notice that we have our impressions by board. This one right here is by far my highest performing board as you see as Unless what do we got last 60 days? Last 60 days, it's gotten over 8 million impressions. And why this is important is the strategy here is you want to identify your top board. And if it is performing the best, you want to take your pins when you first create a new pin, if it involves that board, as you see, this is a kind of a broad board for me as a DIY house project. So basically all of my pins can go inside of there first. And what this does is if I have a new pin and I put it in this board, that RD is getting a lot of impressions. It gives that pin more juice or more SEO juice. So that when I go and actually try and rank for other keywords inside of that pin, it can work out really well. And so whenever I create a pin, it goes into this board first. And then if it does well in here, then I'll pin it to my other top three or four boards as well. With the caveat, of course, that you need to make sure that those pins are actually relevant to the board that you're looking at. So going along with this, I do recommend having a general board that you can post most of your stuff too, and hopefully you get lucky like this, this situation where that's your top board that you go through and post. But this has helped me leverage post and get a lot of juice on them right from the beginning. And that brings us to tip number five, which is actually the probably the one tip that has grown my account the most. And that is utilizing what if you come over here to create you unless you have create pins and then you have creative idea pins. This is what I've been able to leverage to really grow my account. These create these idea pins are new, new feature inside of Pinterest. And Pinterest right now is really promoting these a lot. The most success I've had with these idea pins is by utilizing vertical video format. And it's pretty obvious why this one is out, because if you scroll through your Pinterest feed and you're competing against a video and you have a still image. Most of the time people are going to be attracted to the actual video. I recommend creating vertical format videos and putting them in these idea pins. I can show you an idea of what some of these look like if we come over to my account here, as you can see, these really get a ton of views. Here is a idea pen. This is one that I just posted, but here is an idea pin right here, 1.6 million. Here's another one, almost 1 million, 1.7 million. All of these are pretty much, most of these are idea pins. This has been my winning formula for actually really growing the account because Pinterest is really promoting these a lot right now. So if you are just hearing about this, you are very early that the trend, still not a lot of people are utilizing these, these Pinterest idea pins. So go through and explore how to use those. How to incorporate vertical video format into your products for your Etsy store or your Shopify store, whatever it may be. I mean, just look at the difference between these. Like these are getting hundreds of thousands of views or impressions or whatever it may be. And we scroll down, these are my normal Pinterest pins. I didn't see these get around 1,000 or so Impressions, whatever. 27,000, like some do better than others consistently, the idea pins is what has grown my account. And real quick, I want to go through and show you exactly what my process for creating these idea pins. It's very similar to creating a normal pen just with some slight variations. So we're going to come over here to this gray tab. We're gonna go to Create idea been a couple of drafts in here, but we're going to create a new one. And we're going to drag our video inside of here. And as you see, this is just a video of me doing a project here. You can go through and add a title if you'd like. Typically if you are showcasing a product, I would do recommend some sort of catchy title or some sort of catchy hook to get people watching all the way through. This one is just a simple time-lapse essentially going through. But if you want to come through and add a title like how to build An accent wall. Accent wall. Just like that. We can add that inside of there. You can adjust this if you'd like, and how to build an accident while you can move that around, you can change the font size, alignment color. And then you can also come over here and add a new page if you'd like. This is especially helpful if you didn't want to do video. If you don't have vertical, vertical, vertical video format, you can add basically like a slideshow, like take different pictures of your products and add them in a slideshow. That also works really well, or step-by-step. Here's how I built this awesome Etsy product, or step-by-step, here's how I do this, or here's a showcase of how to use my product. So lots of different things that you can do with these idea pins. And that's why they're called idea pins, is that the purpose is to give other people ideas on how to do things or ways to approach different things. And this really is how this is kinda the future of Pinterest. I do recommend playing around in here and getting really creative with how you're going about doing this. So I just come through how to build an accent wall. You could add that inside of there if you'd like, and it would go through and run through this video. You have the background as well that you could change to different things. This is if you are, if you have like a still image basically, but we have the video here, so we're just gonna hit Next. Then. Now it is going to ask for our title. We do the same with every other pin where we go through and actually choose a board for us. We're gonna do accent walls and living room because that's perfect what we want. And then here's where you can go through and add tags for your account. Now, pinterest doesn't have all the tax for every single niche. I've noticed that this is slowly growing as time goes on. But if you click inside of here, it's going to pop up some auto suggestions. Can think of these like hashtags. They're not necessarily hashtags, but there's things to tag your content with. So I do recommend typing in some keywords inside of here and seeing what's relevant. We're gonna do accent wall. We're going to have been more here. We're going to type in home accents. We're going to type in wall decor, DIY wall decor. And I believe it, it allows you to add up to ten. So I recommend going through and clicking on all of those and trying to find at least ten different tags that you can add to your Pinterest idea pin. And the last thing here is allow people to comment. I highly recommend allowing people to comment. It just gets you more engagement and things on your actual video. Then add the details. There other things. So if you are, if you are building something, you can actually go through and add ingredients, supplies, or notes. This is really helpful. I do recommend going through and filling this out if you'd like. A lot of times To be honest though, I don't add the details. That's probably not the best practice, but I don't worry about these as much. Just because most time I don't want to go through and write up the supplies of notes, but I imagine if you were to take the time to write it out, it could probably help you rank even better as well. And then we finally, we have these advanced options, which is to shopping recommendations if you wanted to show similar products inside your feed, this is great for people who are on Etsy or Shopify stores to go through and play with that setting as well. So now that we have everything filled out, we have our idea pin title, the board that we wanted to go to and the topics you can come through and actually go through and publish this right here. I'm not going to do it for this one because I've actually published this pin already on my account. So I'm not gonna go through and actually publish that one, but I wanted to show you the process and how that's done. So I'm going to exit out of this now. And that is going to save it in our drafts, which is really helpful. So you can go through and create a lot of different drafts and add them inside of here and come back and visit them if you'd like to do so. Those are my five tips to grow your Pinterest account even faster and to get the edge on the competition, hopefully you found value in these videos and it is going to give you the leg up to grow your business and transform your business through Pinterest.
