1. Pinterest Marketing for Etsy Sellers Intro: Welcome to Pinterest marketing for Etsy sellers. My name is Debbie, and I've been building blogs in e-commerce stores since 2003. I've also been an active Etsy shop owner since 2017. In my blogging and e-commerce life, I learned how to use Pinterest to generate that all important traffic. As an Etsy shop owner, I use the same Pinterest marketing strategies to generate traffic and subsequent sales to my Etsy shops. I created this class to show you how to use Pinterest to generate more traffic and more sales for your Etsy shops. Let's get started. 2. Let's Start with Pinterest: Interests marketing for Etsy sellers. My name is Debbie and I'm your instructor. If you have an Etsy shop, you're already familiar with how difficult that can be, degenerate the traffic needed to achieve decent sales numbers. You may also have heard numerous bloggers talking about how Pinterest as their main source of traffic. But you have no idea how they're doing it. Whether you're running a blog or an e-commerce store, traffic is the magic bullet. No traffic, no sales. Period. In Pinterest marketing for FDI sellers. I'm going to show you how to get the traffic you need to increase sales. Let's get started. I'm assuming that you're taking this class because you already have an Etsy shop. So I'm going to bypass instructions on how to do that. If you don't already have a Pinterest account, head over to Pinterest.com and sign up for an account. At the bottom of the signup page, you'll see pecks asking you to sign up for a Pinterest business account, and you absolutely want to do that. So click create a business account at the bottom of the page. You want to have a Pinterest account, because having a Pinterest business account will allow you to access things like account analytics. And it'll allow you to advertise your products by way of your pins on the platform, as well as a few other perks. 3. Time for Tailwind: Once you've signed up for your Pinterest account, I want you to go to Tailwind, which would be Tailwind app.com and create an account if you haven't already. Once you get to Tailwind, you're gonna see Free Trial button. Click on that because Tailwind comes with a free seven-day trial, which I'm positive that you're going to allow, partly because there's no credit card required. I hate those free trials that want me to put it in my credit card number because I always forget just in case I don't like it. Before I've been charged. Once you've done that, I want you to add the Tailwind extension to Google Chrome. You'll see why shortly. All you need to do is Google Tailwind app extension and follow the instructions. Then I want you to go back to Tailwind. And I want you to click on the blue Dashboard button in the upper right corner. Once you're on your, on your dashboard, you're going to click on the community's button on the left side of the screen. It's the two users icon where the yellow arrow is pointing. The communities window button will open. Click Find a community and the top menu. Now you're going to get a window with all of your communities categories on it. All of those squares are the communities that you can join. The community of the categories or the niches, if you will. You're going to go through all of the relevant community categories or niches and click on those that you want to browse. Another window will open up, giving you access to all of the communities in that category. See all of those little boxes. Text underneath. Those are all of the other popular, popular community topics. You can join as many communities as you'd like during the trial. But check the different plans so that once the trial is over, how much you'll be paying monthly to stay in those communities. Now I want you to start choosing your communities by clicking on the green button to the right of the community graph. As we'll see in the top community here, the first community, it says a melting pot that Tailwind tribes for almost everyone. Now first off, it says private because Tailwind communities used to be called Tailwind tribes. This Tribes hasn't changed their name to communities instead of tribes. But you're going to look at the activity graph to the right. And you can see that the activity graph right here. That's, that's how active the community is. Okay? And they have 1945 members. So by that, for me, that would be a great community to join. So to the right of that, where you can't see on the picture here, it'll be either a green button or a blue button. The green button will say join. Now, if it's a join now, you will not doing it because it's unlike Pinterest boards. You don't have to wait for approval to get in. You don't have to be accepted. You just click on the button and you can start posting to those communities right away. This is another one. Now, if you have Christmas crafts, this is one of the communities. One community that you might want to join. It has 1157 members. And it's not as active as the community above, but I would join it simply because you never know. Like I said before, I always check how many members are in the community. The more members it has, the greater your PIN distribution possibilities. 4. Creating the Product Pin: Now we're going to create your product pin. I like to use Canva to create new pins for my content and for my products. Partly because I'm lazy. And you can use the app from your phone to create from anywhere. You can also use the desktop version. Canvas, also free to use and they've got great pin templates to choose from. Now for the fun part, go into your Etsy shop and choose the product that you want to market. Use the product that you want to add to your tailwind communities. Or if you print your Pinterest board, you'll notice a Share button at the bottom right corner of your product. Ignore that share button. The share button creates a small square pin that doesn't fit. Interests in size requirement. Inference requires that your pins be proportionate wise, six by nine, so 600 pixels by 900 pixels wide, by 900 long. This is why you want to use Canva to create a pin that's the correct size. In your product. You're going to use the Copy link button to get the product URL for your new pin. Write it down or add it to a Word doc or Notepad or copying and pasting later. Now you're going to go back into Canvas. You're going to choose a Pinterest pin template in Canada and add your product image and desired text. Some templates are free and some are paid. You can use a free one for now, there are lots of them and I'm sure you'll find something that you like. Once you've designed your new pin, you're going to open Pinterest and hover over the button. You're gonna go into your Dashboard, hover over the Create button. Then when you see a drop-down menu, click create pin from that menu. Now you're going to add your pen details. You're going to drag or add the pin that you created in Canva to the spot in Pinterest where you're supposed to upload it, where it says upload images or video. Add your pin title and relevant details, including the product designation Lee, that you copied from FC. Now you're going to choose a board to add that into. If there isn't already a suitable board, create one, then you're going to click Publish Immediately. 5. Time to Add the Rocket Fuel: Now it's time to add the rocket fuel in your Pinterest account. You're gonna go to you and you can, you're going to hover over the upper left corner of that penny. Because you added the Tailwind extension to Google Chrome, the tailwind logo will pop up on your new pin automatically, like on it. In the window that opens. Choose tailwind community symbol, and choose the communities that you want to add this pin to. Your list of communities will look something like the image above. All you need to do is click the square to the left of the community name to add your pin. And you're gonna rinse and repeat. You can even see how many times your pen has been reshared on Pinterest at the top right corner of the pen. That's it. Once you've done that with one pin, you're going to go back to the beginning and you're going to start with a new product. Or you can create a new pin, a completely new pin for the same product. You can do that as many times as you want. Just make the design a little bit different. It's actually the best way to get more traffic to your products and increase your sales.
