1. Intro: Hey, creators. Welcome to my new tutorial where I'm going to show you how to create a weekly planner that you can sell on Ets I'm going to show you how to create a functional layout, how to decorate the planner, and then how to export it and use it in a digital format. This tutorial is for beginners. If you're someone who is advanced creator, this is probably not the tutorial for you. So we will cover everything step by step, and we're going to do a really simple layout that is really cute. So let's get into 2. Wireframing and Properties: Here we are in a. It is really easy to create a va account. You can create it with your g mail or e mail address, and you're in. That's it. You're going to see this welcome page. The first thing you're going to do is in the upper right corner, you have to create a design. We're going to click on that right now and we're going to go ahead and put in a letter. And we're going to select letter US letter, and here we have a new tab. Here on the right side, you have your little canvas here. On your left side, you have this ribbon, which contains elements, text, brand, up close, draws, projects. St thing we're going to do is go to elements and click on the shapes, and we're just going to use the angle for the beginning. Now, this blinking thing means that you can write in it. We don't want to do that right now. I'm just going to deselect this by clicking anywhere on the white canvas like that, select it again and move it up. See these little pink purplish lines. These are our guides. They will show you that you're in the middle of the screen vertically, horizontally, or this rectangle right here shows us where the bleed line is. The important thing to know is that we want to design within the bleed lines. We want to design inside this purple rectangle that we have going on right here. Now, I will select it like this and drag it up to resize it. I don't want it to be exactly in the middle because I want to have space between between my sections of the planer. So I will just make it a tiny bit smaller. Go ahead and click Command R. That is to copy and paste the object. Element. I'll just hold shift and select both objects. Again, click mans command, and I will duplicate it again. Now we have four, but I'm making this as a weekly spread, so we need seven. Now, on my right side, I'm going to have a space for to do list. I'm going to have notes. All of this I plan, and I usually sketch it beforehand. But make sure you never ever skip this step. Because this step will help you to have everything organized and looking cohesive and beautiful at the end. If it looks good in black and white, it will look good as an end product. Let's go ahead and add our to do list. I will just go ahead copy and paste one of these rectangles because I want to still keep that same size, same length of the rectangle, and I will just drag it to middle of my friday. I will just go ahead and command again, you don't have to do it. You could have just past the previously made day that we already had copied. Be a part for the notes. Let's go ahead and do the colors and looks of our wire frames over here. I will go ahead and select all of my little days and my to do list and my notes. I will go up here in this little ribbon. I will go and click border style. Click on the solid line and adjust the number here. This is a border way. It's thickness. I'll just place it at two. I feel like four is to tick. We will go ahead and select this color on the left, this level rectangle here. That is for the fill color. I do not want any fill color right now. 3. Color and Typography: Now, let's go back to our border color over here and we are going to use pink. I'm going to go ahead and add or to do list right here. I'll just add little circles. I want to keep this pink color for this one, and I will resize them by holding shift and dragging it to the small like that. Maybe even smaller stub Now is so small, you can barely see it. You can always zoom into your canvas here at the bottom. Just track that or if you're using a mac, you can just zoom in on the track. Let's click comment and copy this again. Someone will have space to write stuff here, especially if they're using it as a digital planer, should be fine. These little numbers are making sure everything is separated, has the same distance in between. Is going to make sure that appears every time. I copied and pasted all of these again. I will do it one more time. I will make sure this one goes on top because it looked a little bit empty. I will delete this one and leave it like that. Now, you can change the look of these by clicking on them. Let's say now we want to change it again like we did with the other rectangles. I'm going to keep the border at two. I will remove the film color here, and I will have the border color pink. Let's go so far, it. Let's go ahead and create our little text. I'm going to go to text here. And for this one, I wanted to have a script going on because we're making this girly planner I just enter script, and it offered me all of these beautiful hand lettered scripts cursor I will look for the one that I had the previous one Jimmy. I will so a little bit, so I can see cleaner. Click somewhere on the empty space, click again here, and I will have this at 25 color. I'm going to change it again right here. Let's just do this little gray color. Click somewhere on an empty space, and I will place this here. Make sure it's aligned with the rest of the rectangles there, and I will go ahead and make this gray a little bit darker, just like that. Let's go ahead and write our days in these little rectangles. You can for sure leave them empty if you want to sell this planer as dated click on this little rectangle where I want my Monday to be written at and I will just click on that script again and see how it created the little rectangle, this the same with as our weekday container drag this here, place it right there and Monday. I have to match that color to D gray that we had before, and I will make this 18. This might be too big. I tried it just below the slip pink line. It changes again to 16, can better. Copy and paste each of them. So mean again. Write below that line, and I'm going to write Tuesday and now I'm going to click on both of these just to make process a little bit quicker. Now, let's make sure they're all distance like that. When those numbers appear, you know everything is looking good. Now, you want to make sure everything is looking good because you will be selling this for profit. If these numbers do not match, you can really see that the letters and everything is pretty much off and that won't look as good. Let's go and add our do s right here. Going to copy this. Remember, our to do list is the same with as the days right there. I'm going to drag a little lower, just like that. Coetor Just add a little notes right there. Just past that from last time to be more efficient. Now, let's get to the fun stuff, which is decor 4. Decorating: I go to elements right here. Search for bows like I did four. I'll go into graphics right here, go see all, and you can pick any of these bows. But the ones that have this little crown, they come with only pro subscription or sometimes you can even buy these elements. We're going to be using free. One, go ahead and resize this by trying it like this. Twist here. Adorable. Another bot that matches this, which is like this watercolor. Look, we have going on and let's say this one. Yeah, watercolor pretty much the same pins Twist this one as well, and maybe place it right here. Another thing that I think would look really cute is having a bunch of little watercolor parts. I have this in here because it's the recently used section. You can always go in here and click and write part pink watercolor and go to graphics, find the one that you like the most. I add a bunch of little hearts and edit or both little bit, move them around, resize them. This notes right here. It is looking good, but it can look better and we are going to maybe add a little q background to that. I just wrote in lace I found this little lace. Or notes is looking a little bit empty. I'll just go ahead and resize this. Make it look a little bit more interesting. I'll go ahead and right click on this lace while I have it selected and send it to back. Now, I will go up here to the colors. And select one of these colors. You can see that we have all of these pinkish colors. These colors are picked up from all the elements that we use to decorate our planner. This will make it look super cohesive. I think this is looking good. Now, you see that we have this little rectangle going on still. I will just resize our little lace to make sure if it's the rectangle. Because remember we don't want to go beyond the blue one because of these nodes and the way we change them are elements are not aligned here. I will just go ahead and select all of our elements again. Select the days, we'll shift while we do this. I will just resize them and make them align with our little notes part There we go. Looking way better. Tip is changing the background of the paper. Instead of leaving it just white, you can change the color, but just clicking on the paper itself on the white space. And when you click on your colors right there, you will just go ahead and go ahead and click add color. I still want to keep this pink right there, but I don't want it to be too pink or too dark. I'm just going to add this color. Okay. This looks right, not too dark, not too light. Perfect. You can see C still that it's p and it's different. I will leave this color down in the description if you want to check it out as all of them. Now, let me show you how to export this. So you're ready to sell. 5. Exporting and Outro: You will just go appear to share. You will go download and you will select a JPEG. Quality size. This all looks good, and you will go ahead and hit download. Okay. You can usually find your file in your downloads folder or wherever your downloads go. When you have this file downloaded to your local machine, you're going to upload it to T and whenever someone buys it, it will be downloaded to their machine. You can do this another way as well. It is sharing a template link. You will go again to the share part, go to template link and create template link. Now I have a template link. You will click copy. And now that you have this copied, you have this link from Cana, you will go ahead and create some kind of a document where it will say download here. So this document template, they can use directly with Cana, and you can usually charge more for these. So if someone buys your template, they can edit all of the elements, so they can remove the heart. They can start their week with a Sunday and just move around the move around the days. So it is up to you to decide how you actually want to sell this. Both ways are fine. My opinion, I think selling a canva template, you can sell it for more money and maybe earn more. But if you don't want anyone to mess with your design, you can just sell it as a pile. That is it creators. I hope you like this video. If you did make sure you like it and subscribe and its always I will leave all of these templates linked down below for free for personally make sure you check it out. Thank you. I see your next time.
