1. Introduction: What's up, everyone, Welcome
to my class on how to overcome your limiting
beliefs as a business owner. Now a little bit about me before we get into
today's class. My name is I'm a business owner, I'm a digital entrepreneur, I'm a YouTuber, I'm a podcaster, I'm an Etsy shop owner. I'm a Nano influencer. And I think I'm just a 29-year-old with
the zest for life. Now as a business owner myself, I know how challenging it can be to overcome limiting disease. I also know that the
entrepreneurial journey is fun. It meant to be about you, about who you are, what your strengths are, and what your weaknesses are. And do you want
to know a secret? Your business is going to be as strong as how much
you know yourself. I'm going to repeat that. Your business is going to be as strong as how much
you know yourself. Knowing your limiting beliefs is a very huge component of
getting to know who you are, what are your strengths and
what are your weaknesses. In today's class,
I'm going to go over what exactly are
limiting beliefs? How are you stopping you from achieving success
in your business? I'm also going to go over my three-step framework
that I have developed over years and years of tackling and overcoming limiting
beliefs myself. Now, if you feel
that you've not been tapping into your full potential and to feel sort of restricted
as a business owner. Then this class is for you. In this class I'm
going to teach you how to analyze your
limiting beliefs. Now, limiting beliefs,
for the most part, belongs to your
subconscious mind. Now with my
three-step framework, we're actually going to extract it from your
subconscious mind. We're going to
bring it into your conscious mind and we're gonna find ways on how
to overcome them. My three-step framework is a very practical approach to
overcoming limiting disease. Now another reason why it is so important to
overcome limiting Vinci's is because it helps you show up better as
a business owner, it makes you more confident. It definitely gives you
a lot of strength and courage to face other
obstacles in your business. And as a business
owner and myself, if I can tell you that there is obviously
never going to be a shortage of obstacles and
challenges in your business. And for that, you need to be in a positive mindset and unique
to be feeling empowered, unique to just be really, really confident in yourself. And my three-step framework
is going to help you achieve that sense of
empowerment, that strength, that confidence, and
that courage that you need to show up
fully as yourself, as your best self
for your business. Are you ready? Let's go.
2. How Limiting Beliefs Are Holding You Back: Now, limiting beliefs
are basically thought patterns that are restricting
you or holding you back. They can either be stopping you from achieving
your full potential, or they may be stopping you
from something that you really desire or want to do. The thing about
limiting believes is that everyone experiences them. Every single person
around you experiences limiting beliefs. They do have their own
personal experiences that have caused them to
have limiting beliefs. Now, when you are
a business owner, insulin little bit different. When you don't have a business, for the most part, your limiting beliefs
are restricted to your personal life and your
personal relationships. However, as a business owner, your personal limiting
beliefs can actually spill over and affect the way you
show up for your business. Now, as I mentioned in
the introduction video, I'd like to actually talk a little bit more about it here. Your entrepreneurial journey
is fundamentally about you. That is deep biggest secret
to being an entrepreneur. The more you
understand yourself, the more successful you can
be as a business owner. Because the more you
get to know yourself, your strengths, your weaknesses, your limiting beliefs,
the more conscious you are of the decisions that you are making
for your business. You know that you will be
working to your strengths. You know how to work
around your weaknesses, or you know how to tackle your limiting beliefs so that
you can show up completely, fully and wholly for your business without
feeling restricted. Let me give you an example
of a limiting belief that could be pertaining
to your personal life, but actually ends up spilling
over into your business. For example, you are a coach. Now, maybe your personal
limiting belief is that you've
never felt worthy. And it could be
that maybe you have few personal
experiences that lead you to believe that
you were not worthy. Now how that translates
into your business is that you feel
that the products or the services that you are
putting out there are not worthy of the price point
that you should be charging. Which means you're actually
going to be leaving money on the tingle because
you are undercharging. This is one of the most common limiting beliefs that I see. Like that they're gonna be so many other limiting beliefs
that are restricting you, that are stopping
you from achieving your full potential
in your business. And that's exactly what we're gonna be tackling
in today's class. Another huge limiting
belief that I see with business
owners, especially, is that they feel that
maybe there's already so many products and
services in their industry, they probably should
not even begin or start on their
entrepreneurial journey. Another huge limiting
belief that talks about them being
skeptical and not believing in the
difference that dare product or service is going
to bring to the industry. Again, that's leaving
money on the table because if you were
to follow that line, maybe you would never launch that product or that service. Maybe you would never even
become a business owner. When a limiting belief
like that restricts you, you are naturally going
to feel really resentful. You're going to feel like you always have so much
negative energy in you because you are not able to do what you truly want to do. Now that we realize how your limiting beliefs in
your personal life can actually spill over and affect the way you show
up for your business. Let's get into my
three-step framework to overcome your
limiting beliefs.
3. The 3 Step Framework: Hi there. Welcome back. Now let's get started on the three-step framework
that I do have for you. Now, this framework is
something that I call the what, why, how framework. Now, let's get into step
number one. Are you're ready? Let's go. Step Number One of my what, why, how framework is what we
have to identify it with, what exactly the
limiting belief is. Now a good way to identify what exactly the
limiting belief is, is when you are facing something in your business and you
kind of feel restricted. You feel like something is
stopping you or you feel. And to move forward. A few good questions
that you can ask yourself at this point is, if there's something
that I'm hesitant to do, is there's something
that's stopping me. Now, another question
that you can ask yourself at this point is, is there a constant thought
or repetitive taught that is actually worrying you
are making Hugh hesitant. The minute you figure
out what that is, you're probably going
to arrive and what exactly your limiting belief is. Not. For example, you feel that you can't beat your competition. That's a very valid
limiting belief, and it is probably
one of the most common limiting the music
business owners and entrepreneurs have that would be identifying what the
limiting belief is. That is step number one for you. Now, step number two is, why. Understand why that limiting
belief is affecting you. This usually takes a
little bit more time because it involves you analyzing when those
thought patterns started. What exactly was the incident that triggered this
particular thought pattern? A few questions that you can ask yourself at this point is what exactly happened that
made me feel this way? When was the last time I
actually didn't feel this way? What happened after that? Why did I end up
feeling this way? Now in the example that I
just gave you and that was, I don't think I can beat my
competition for the, what? The why for that
could probably be. Well, their follower count
keeps growing on Instagram. That's really legit. When you see that
your competition is growing three or four times, how much you are growing. It naturally creates a
little bit of fear in you. So your limiting belief was, I don't think I can
beat my competition. And when you dig in deeper, when you kind of understand where exactly that
is coming from, you'll realize that, hey, well, their Instagram follower
count is growing for x, the time I'm growing, that's really hard
for me to process. Four times my growth. I mean, am I ever going
to catch up to them? The minute you understand why that limiting
belief happens, it's easier for you to
tackle step number three. And that's exactly what I'm
going to get into right now. Step number three is how, how are you going to overcome this limiting belief
width actionable steps? Now the key in this exact step is to figure
out actionable steps. These have to be steps
that you will actively keep taking until you overcome
your limiting belief. A few questions that
you can ask yourself at this point is something that I can do to make sure
I feel secure, to make sure that I don't
have this thought pattern. Now, in certain situations
where you maybe can't find an actionable step to overcome you're
admitting of the leaf. It might be helpful for
you to find out ways to keep reminding yourself
of the positive things. Example for that a
little bit later. But first off, let's continue. The example that I have
for you are what was, I don't think I can
beat my competition. Are why was their
Instagram follower count was just leaps and bounds. It was just growing by leaps
and bounds for x times. Still leaps and bounds now
are how is going to be. Maybe I should invest
in hiring a consultant. Maybe I should go for paid ads. Maybe I should show up
more on my stories. Maybe I should change
the content that I have to attract
better customers. It made me, I should hop
on the latest trends and match my competition in the kind of content
that they are putting out. These are actionable steps
that you're giving yourself. Step number one, step number
two, step number three, you're giving yourself
actionable steps so that you feel better. Because when you start
implementing these steps, you are naturally going
to see your own growth, your own Instagram growth. And when that happens, you immediately start
to feel more confident. When you start to
grow to x times, you realize that room. Well therefore x, I'm at
two xs are getting there. There, I can't get there. And then when you
hit three x times, you're like, I can
definitely get there. The point of this
entire framework is to make sure that you
have actionable steps. It's to ensure that you are bringing a limiting
belief that is from your subconscious
mind all the way to your conscious mind so
that you are aware of it. You are aware of what
exactly is causing it. And not just that, you are also given yourself
actual steps to make sure that the entire
limiting belief is wiped up.
4. Another Example for You: No, let me give you an example
of a limiting belief where you may not necessarily have
that many actionable steps, but you can find ways to
be more positive about it. At the other example, using my what, why, how framework would be
the, what would be. Maybe I am afraid of
speaking in public. That's a very common
limiting the theme. Maybe you are unable to do your presentations
as a business owner, maybe you are unable
and to talk to your investors with confidence. Maybe you are not
able to show up on your Instagram stories
as a business owners. So basically you are not feeling confident enough to
speak in public. That's a very, very
bounded limiting belief. Now let's go onto why. Why do you think
you feel that way? What was that triggering
incident that happened? Maybe when you were a kid, you spoke on stage for the first time and you
forgot your lines. Something that has happened
in your childhood is still affecting you two distinct so you're
gonna accept it. You're gonna be like,
yes, I was five years. It at the time. I forgot my lines. But now let's see how
I can overcome that. Okay, and that's the third step. Now, different ways that
you can go about it. If I were you, some of the actionable
steps that I would probably take is maybe taking the time to
talk in front of a mirror before I head
out for a presentation, that would be an
actionable step. Now, while you're
working on that, right, it's gonna take you
some time to gain confidence. And I said, you have to be
patient as you work through it while you're working
to gain that confidence. I said that you can also
keep reminding yourself. If I were you and I had
that limiting belief, I wouldn't even put a
post-it note on my mirror saying today I will
speak and I will speak. Well, that's a constant reminder that you are putting on your mirror and every time
you're brushing your hair, every time you look
in good and fabulous, you're probably going to
also see that and that naturally gives you
that confidence. While you're working at the back end on figuring
out your limiting beliefs. Maybe practicing in
front of the mirror, maybe practicing your
lines, a friend. You also have a reminder
for you to remind you that, hey, you've got this. You're going to speak well, and that's how it is. Not all the times
are you going to get immediate results when you are trying to overcome
your limiting beliefs? However, it is important to know that the power of
reminding yourself of positive thoughts is
definitely going to make a huge difference
in how you show up while you're working
on your limiting beliefs. Now, in the next video, I'm going to go over the entire workbook that I do
have for you in the video. After that, I'm going to go over the class project that
I do have for you. But in all, if I were to
summarize the same tire video, I would say the what why, how framework doesn't take much time for you to write
it out or figure things out. But it does take time
for you to implement the steps that you have
outlined for yourself. Please be kind. Please be patient with yourself as you work through
your limiting beliefs. That is super, super,
super important. Now let's get into the work that I do have for you to actually implement this entire
limiting beliefs class.
5. Workbook: Alrighty, So now you can see the three-step
framework limiting belief work that I
do have for you. Of course, you can take
printouts of these and make it for as many limiting
beliefs as you'd like. It comes with an actual, like the actual process
that I do have for you. So that's step one, step two, step three. And I also do have questions that can
prompt your answers. Don't forget the kind. Be patient with itself as
you work through this, I really cannot
emphasize that enough. These are printable. These are also, you can
just do them online. You can put them on
your iPad as well. Anyway you want anyway, you prefer it just now. Step number one is to identify what the
limiting belief is. You're going to figure out what exactly is the limiting belief. What does that thought pattern
that is holding you back? What is that thought that keeps recurring in your mind that
makes you so hesitant? Step number two is understand
why you feel that way. In my experience, it really
helps to actually go into detail about what the incident was as much as you write
above the incident, it's also important
to understand what you felt when that
incident occurred. So this is more of a journaling exercise,
I guess I would say. That's why I've given you so
much speeds to write out, write out what you
felt at that time. Write out what happened before, what happened during
what happened after. Now in this section, if you
also want to write about how the limiting belief has
affected the way you show up. You can also write that. I've given you so much
space to write everything. Basically, this part is a
journaling exercise where you literally write everything in
your heart and mind, okay? The more you write, the more you analyze
that situation, the lighter you're gonna feel. I promise. Then we go on to
step number three, and that is figuring out
ways to overcome it. Again, I've given
you ample space to figure out actionable steps. And there's also a
section that while you're figuring out and while you're
implementing those steps, how are ways that you can actually remind
yourself to stay positive throughout the process of you working on your
limiting beliefs. I've also given you
a space for that. That brings me to the end
of the workbook segment. Now, good luck with that. I'm super, super confident
that you will be able to implement my three-step
framework for your limiting beliefs
and show up super, super confident as
a business owner to grow the business
that you love. Now I'm going to talk
about the course project that I do power for
you and I'm super, super excited to
share that with you.
6. Course Project: Now we come to the
exciting part, and that is the class project. Now I've called the class
project as my story. Now this is a visualization
exercise that has personally worked wonders for me and I know that they will
work wonders for you. As you're working
through the workbook, I want you to take
some time to actually visualize how you would be
without that limiting belief. Take some time to understand what is the person that
you're going to be? Who is that person that
you want to emulate? How does that person look like without those
limiting beliefs? What are the success
is that they are achieving without that
particular limiting belief, how are they achieving
all those successes? What is their thought process without that limiting belief? What this exercise
doesn't, it's really, really powerful
and I really want you to actually take the time to do the course project is
that when you visualize it, it becomes that much more
easier for you to stay positive throughout
the process of you working through
your limiting beliefs. And not just that,
when you can visualize an end goal for where
you want to be, it makes your, your journey to that destination
so much more clear. There's just absolute clarity when you know your destination. While you visualize
this, everything, make it as detailed as possible. Do you want to wake up in
the morning with a smile? Do you want to have people clap at you when you finish
your presentation? You know, do you want maybe 10 thousand followers instagram with maybe
hundreds of DMZ? Do you maybe want a five
times growth in your business with a weightless going on despite you increasing
your prices. You know, there are
so many ways that you can visualize the
person that you will be once these limiting beliefs are out of your system for ever. Frankly, I think that this is the best part because there's just so many
things that you can add and it'll
just bring a joy to your face when you
do this course project. Now, last but not the
least, at the very end, I would love you to write a very loving note to yourself
in your entire letter. Not what this is actually
and help you with, is that every single
time you feel a little detected in your journey
or you feel a little low, or you don't feel like
you're losing hope. I'd like you to take a second and read this
part to yourself. Okay? You're gonna write
words of encouragement. You're going to mention all of the amazing strengths
that you do have. And you're definitely
going to hype yourself up so that the
future you can look back, smile and get that
confidence right back again, a little bit of
encouragement from your past self really
can change the game. And I personally
would love you to write a note to yourself
at the very end. And do you know that's
your class project? It's called my story.
7. Closing thoughts: Now a few closing thoughts. I really, really hope
you enjoyed this class. I'm super, super
excited for you to implement the workbook
that I do have for you. And also for you to
do the class project. If you have any questions, definitely do ask me. I am I will be right there to help you out
in any way that I can. Now, again, I know I've
said this so many times. A really want to
say it once more. Do remember to be very kind and patient with yourself
through this process. Like I said, it is a
process of bringing a subconscious thought to
your conscious mind and then figuring out actionable
ways to overcome it. And you never know what could have triggered
the incident. But it is also
important for you to understand that regardless
of what the incident was, you were just being
you and it's okay. It's okay if that incident triggered a different
thought pattern, It's okay if you
can't remember who you were before that in the main belief, It's
absolutely okay. The important thing is that
you are the time right now to recognize it and to find
actionable ways to overcome it. And I am so, so confident, so confident that
you will be able to overcome the limiting
beliefs that you have as a business owner and
show up fully in your complete power to grow
the business that you love. Thank you so much for
watching this class. I really hope it's helped you. I'll catch you in my next class.
