1. Introduction: Hello, everyone. Am Swaminimhs Kulkarni, and welcome to my class. I'm an artist, singer, a graphic designer, an art educator, and a youtube. In this class, we are going to learn some mindful mandala patterns using color pencils. First, we will be creating some basic patterns. Then we are going to create some patterns using nature elements. After that, we will also learn some leaf patterns. Then we will use some mandala designs in floral patterns, and at the last, we will be doing a complete mandala using nature elements. So that's it for the introduction, and I'll see you in my first lesson. 2. Materials Required: Everyone. First, we will understand what is mandala art. Mandala is an ancient meditative art form in which we draw repetitive patterns inside concentric circles, often term to as secret geometry. To create these bind ful mandala patterns, using color pencils, first, you will need a set of color pencils. You can use any color pencils you have, then a notebook with white plain pepper, any pen available at home. Here I'm using black color pens, a scale, and a pencil. That's all you need to create these mindful mandala patterns using color pencils. See you in the first class 3. Basic Patterns: Hello, everyone, and welcome to the first lesson of mindful Mandala patterns using color pencils. So in first lesson, we are going to create some basic patterns for that you will need a white plain pepper. You can also use these kind of notebooks if you have and any pen available at home. Here I'm using this black color pen. In many of my previous classes, we have discussed about Mandala art in detail. We have also learned some subjects related to Mandala art. But in this class, we are going to create patterns which will give peace to our mind. For first pattern, I have used swirl pattern. After that, we are creating boundary from outside for each s and one line and one.in each sw pattern. And that's how we have to just randomly repeat the pattern again and again. While creating these kind of designs, you will definitely feel peaceful. For the second one, we are using leaf pattern, but instead of creating only one leaf, again, we are creating boundary from outside for each leaf pattern. We are not doing anything inside this leaf. We are keeping it blank. As you can see in the video, you can also create boundary first and then create inside pattern. Without thinking anything specifically, you just have to keep doing that particular shape again and again. In this lesson, we are concentrating on our mind while creating these patterns, so this patterns will definitely make you stress free. For the third pattern, we are going to create circular shapes. In mandala patterns, we call this shape as round petals. You just have to create these petals, but we are creating vertically. As you can see, the length and the width of each rounded petal is in vertical form. Just keep doing it again and again. In this whole class, we are going to create these kind of patterns, and we are going to take reference from nature elements like leaves, flowers, and these kind of mandala patterns. So these are the patterns which you can use in your Mandala art forms. You can also use these patterns in some kind of murals, your class projects. And basically, you can spend your weekend very creatively and your mind can get refreshed by creating these patterns. And at some we have created these beautiful patterns. See you in the next lesson. 4. Patterns using Nature Elements: Everyone, and welcome to the second lesson of mindful mandala patterns using color pencils. In the last class, as I mentioned, we are going to take reference from nature elements. In this class, we are creating very simple drawings of leaf patterns and flower patterns. We are also going to create some swirl patterns, and after creating all these patterns, we are going to color them using color pencils so that we can also explore some colors in it. So first, I'm creating leaf pattern. As I said, before, we are creating swirl patterns from both the sides, and of course, some simple flower designs. First one is of rounded petals after that heart shaped petals, then pointed petals. And here I'm creating combination of rounded and swirl patterns. And pointed petals together. Now, here I'm creating long rounded petals. These are very simple flowers and very easy to create. For this flower, I'm creating heart shaped petals only, but the shapes of hearts are a little bit rhythmatic. Created combination of rounded petals and heart shaped petals. Again, creating swell pattern and rounded petals together. Now going to create a small creeper using the basic leaf pattern. M. And again creating some swell patterns in small size. As I said before, these are the designs which are prominently used in doodle mandala also. Then I have created these decorative leaf patterns. Now, to decorate these flowers, I'm just creating different kinds of lines and small dots so that it will look more beautiful. Now we are going to color these using color pencils. You can use any color pencils you have. First, we are going to color these leaves. We have to make dark tones on the left side and light tones on the right side. I've created some veins using dark green color. For these wall patterns, I'm just coloring around the shape using green color only. Now, for flowers, we are exploring many colors together. First, I have used yellow color for the first fun. The coloring technique is same for all the petals. Dark tones on my left side and light tones on my right side. In middle, I have given red color. Now, for these hard shaped petals, I have used dark orange color. By using this technique of shadow and light, each flower is looking a little bit thready. For each flower, I'm creating different kind of textures. As you can see, now I have created vertical line texture and using light blue and dark blue together. Here again, I have used two color combinations. Here I'm again using yellow color. I have created alternate combination of yellow and purple. Now again, for leaf patterns, we are going to explore some green colors together. That's how we have created these beautiful patterns using nature elements, and we have also colored them using color pencils. See you in the next lesson. 5. Leaf Patterns: Hello, everyone, and welcome to the third lesson of mindful mandala patterns using color pencils. In last lesson, we have created patterns using nature elements. We have also created some basic leaf patterns. But in this lesson, we are going to create only leaf patterns. So for first one, I have created this basic leaf pattern, but the positions of each leaf is alternate. And in between, I have created one line and one circle. For each leaf, I'm creating boundary only from my right side. You can see the design is looking really beautiful. For the next leaf pattern, I have created a rhythmatic line and created boundary from outside of basic leaf pattern. As you can see, the leaf is looking like it's folded and the pattern is looking really beautiful. You can use these kind of patterns in your sketchbooks, or if you want to create a greeting card for someone, you can also use these kind of patterns in your glass projects, your assignments. I have also used some swirl patterns and some circles. Now, for the last one, I'm creating thin leaf patterns. These leaf patterns are also looking really beautiful. You just have to keep in mind that while creating these shapes, the shape of this particular leaf is very thin. Again in between, I'm just creating semi rhythmatic line and one circle at the top of each line. You can see the patterns are looking really nice and really aesthetic. Now we will just revise these shapes. For that, I have just created a practice sheet for you all. Swirl pattern, basic leaf pattern. Only leaf shape without line in between. Swirl patterns from both the sides and different lines from all the angles. So that's how we have created these beautiful leaf patterns. Practice them daily, and do share with me. See you in the next lesson. 6. Floral Patterns using Mandala Designs: Hello, everyone, and welcome to the fourth lesson of mindful mandala patterns using color pencils. Now, in last lesson, we have created only leaf patterns. In this lesson, we are going to create floral patterns, and inside each flower, we are going to create mandala designs. For the first one, I have created hard shaped petals and inside each petal, I'm creating floral mandala patterns. First, I have used swirl pattern created boundary from outside, and used rounded petals. Again, created boundary from outside and filling up the white space. And now for the complete flower, we are going to create boundary from outside. For the second one, I'm using pointed petals. Filling up the white space in between. Now creating boundary to each petal from right side. And now filling each petal with two small rounded shape in the center, and half floral design using rounded petals, and on the remaining side, one line and one dot. This pattern looks very beautiful repeating the process for all the petals, filling up the whit space for each petal. And now again creating boundary from outside to the complete flow. For the next one, I'm using medium sized rounded petals and filling up this petal from opposite side, using swall pattern and rounded petals. Also filling up the white space and again creating boundary from outside. This design is looking really pretty. Now, for this flower, we are using some doodle patterns. First, I have created three pointed petals, and on the other side, I'm creating rounded petals and some swirls, creating line and one.in between. Inside each petal, and again created boundary from outside. Now to complete this flower, I'm creating symmetrical petals and creating boundary to each petal. Also creating small circle in between and some lines inside each petals. Now, for this one, I have created boundary from outside to each circle and one main boundary to the whole flow. Now we are going to join this each flower by creating these kind of lines. I'm just using line and one black dot, as you can see. You just have to create random patterns like these. Now we will color these flowers using color pencils. Whenever you are creating nature elements or nature patterns, try to use more vibrant colors so that your design will look more beautiful and more attractive. You can also use some shedding techniques as you can see in the video. I have used dark green color and light green color. And that's how we have created these beautiful floral patterns using Mandala designs. See you in the next lesson. 7. Mandala using Nature Elements: Everyone, and welcome to the fifth lesson of mindful mandala patterns using color pencils. So in this lesson, we are going to create a complete mandala using all the nature elements that we have practiced before. So to start creating this mandala, first, you have to keep in mind that we are creating free hand mandala, so we are not using any compass or rounder to create this mandala. First, I have created circular swirl pattern. Then I have used pointed petals to create a flower. And then I have created this leaf pattern using trangular shapes. And in between, I am creating swerve patterns and boundary from outside each swerve pattern. Now creating half floral design using rounded petals. And here I'm again creating boundary from outside. Then covering up this leaf pattern using pointed petals, again creating boundary from outside. Now creating art shaped petals. As I mentioned before, in this class, while creating these patterns, we are focusing on our mind. Create randomly and try to focus on mind and be peaceful while creating these kind of patterns. Even if you are not understanding what you are actually drawing, just keep doing it so that you will concentrate on your mind and you will definitely feel a bit relieved after doing this creative activity. Now, to add a pop of color to this artwork, we are coloring it using color pencils. So as we have used more leaf patterns here, I'm first light green and dark green colors. For this flow in middle, I have used sky blue color. I have also added some yellow color for rounded petals and again creating boundary using blue color. Now, for this word patterns, I have used red color. You have to use more vibrant color so that your mind will also get refreshed, and you will also enjoy the process while creating this artwork. For the hart shaped petals, I have used dark red color for boundary. And yellow color for each petal. Again, for leaves I'm using leaf green color, light green color, and for boundary, I'm using dark green color. Now, for the swirls in middle, I've used violet and pink color. And that's how we have created our complete mandala using only nature elements. See in the class project. 8. Class Project: Hello, everyone. I hope you all enjoyed watching and learning this class. For class project, you have to create this complete mandala using nature elements, which we have created in this last lesson of mindful Mandala patterns using color pencils class.
