So Final Cut Pro that you will need to know when you start creating your videos and sharing your stories, ideas, and thoughts with the world. So if you're looking for an all-in-one course to learn video editing with Final Cut Pro. This course is an excellent choice. 2. Downloading Final Cut Pro Trial Version: Now we're going to download Final Cut Pro. And the easiest way to find it is just by going to Google and searching for Final Cut Pro. So we click on it, then we search. And then we're going to go to that search result that comes from Apple. So the first one comes from Apple. So we're going to click on it. And there we go. We can now download Final Cut Pro. So for that we have two options. You can either buy it, which is going to be around $299 for it. But you can also try the free trial version and you get 90 days. So free Final Cut Pro. So we're gonna go for this one, the 390 day Final Cut Pro. So from there we just click on download now. And it's gonna be a very big file. It's around 3.2 gb. So after that, you're going to have to wait a little bit. Well, depending on your internet, if you have a fast internet is going to be very fast. 3. Libraries, Events, Projects: So now that we installed Final Cut Pro, we can go over to our Launchpad and then we can click on Final Cut Pro trial icon. And if it's the first time you install it, it might take a little bit of time, The first time you open it. So here I have the 90 day trial, and from there I can just click on, Okay, so here we have a blank Final Cut Pro. And to start using Final Cut Pro, we can go over to where it says file and then we click on New. So the first option is going to be to create a new library. So a library is basically going to be like defile the Final Cut Pro, the project that you're working on, the file for that project. And the library, you can put it either inside of your computer or in an external hard drive. So I personally put them in an external hard drive. But you can also put them on your computer. However, you have to be careful because it might take a lot of your space. So from now I'm just going to click on Library. And from here we can just select where you want to put it. So I'm going to put it on my SSD drive. And I'm going to call this, I'm just going to say Final Cut Pro trial. That's going to be the name. And then I can click on Save. So here we have the library which is the Final Cut Pro trial. And inside this file we have two folders. We have these smart collections, and then we have this one which is an event. So an event is basically going to be like the folder where you can put all of your videos, all of your audio, all of your pictures. So everything that you use in the final Cut Pro project that you're working on. You can find it also in the event, this event, I'm actually going to rename it and I'm going to call this one the trial event. I'm going to call this one the test trail. So now we're going to create a new project. So the project is where you're going to have your timeline, where you can edit your video, where you can use all of the main features. So now I'm going to click on New Project. And for the project I can put any name, so I'm just going to call it test trial number one. I'm just going to call it number one. And here we have the video format. So we can click on this and we have many options, e.g. ten, ADP or 4k8k5k. Or even if you want a square, you can click on a square and you will get a squared video. Or you can also select a vertical video. This one is good for cell phone videos, TikTok videos or Instagram videos or Facebook videos. But the option I'm going to go for is the basic 110 ADP PhD. If you want, you can also go for, for k, If you have a fork, a video and the resolution, you can also select them here, but I'm just going to leave the basic 11090 by 1080. And the frame rate, I'm going to leave it at the most basic one. And from there I can just click on, okay. And we now have the first project. So inside of these events you can have as many projects as you want. E.g. I. Can also create a new project. I'm going to call it test, trial vertical. So this one is going to be like a vertical version of my video. And I'm going to go to vertical and the resolution is going to be this 110 AD via 1920s. Then I can click on Okay. So now I have two projects. So the black part is going to be what you can see on your video. So if I go for the test trial one, we have all of these black part and the vertical part. We have it exactly like a vertical one, exactly like a phone size format. This is how these things work. You have the library, which is basically going to be the file, the project file, which has all of your projects, all of your folders, all of your events in one file. And inside we have once again d, the events which are kind of like folders. And inside we can actually have many types of events. So e.g. you can select, we can create a new one, and maybe let's create another one. So you can have multiple events, which events and events are basically going to be like folders. And inside the event, we can make projects. And the projects is where you're going to start editing your videos. 4. Interface: Okay, so now we're going to go over the basic interface. So Final Cut Pro. So if we go over to the left side, here we have our library are smart collections and basically the events that we have created. So remember the events I kind of like folders and inside the events we have the projects. And the next part is this one which is some of the files that you have. So you can click here to look for your photos. Or you can also add some stuff from GarageBand. You can add some music, even some sound effects. And if you go on the third one, we have some of the titles, e.g. if you want to add some special costume titles, give it some kind of like effects. Some lower thirds, e.g. I. Can add that, e.g. this one, I can just add it here. And this one will look like, like this. Basically, you can just modify it. So you can add some titles. You can also add some generators which are kind of like colors. Basically. You can add a background, solid color. You can add some different types of backgrounds. E.g. I. Can add a curtain. And it will look basically like a curtain. Like a curtain. And I can cut it down. You can also add things like that. You can also add some different kinds of elements. You can put some shapes, some solids, e.g. I. Can put a blue solid. I can just edit. It will basically look, look blue. You can add some colors. You can also put them with some textures. E.g. I want, I can add the natural texture. So this one is this part. Here in the center we have our viewer. So I added a video that I made a long time ago. So this one, you can actually see it right here. And if you want to play, you can just place, press the Spacebar. You can move your line over here and then press the spacebar to start playing. And on this part you can also make it smaller, e.g. right now I have it at FIT view. But you can also make it e.g. 25% if you want to look more into the corners to make sure that everything is okay and properly centered inside the square. Or you can also zoom in e.g. over to 200. And from there you can just move around or maybe like 150, 100. So I'm going to keep it at FIT view so that I can see everything. And if we go over to the right side, we have all of the options for the video. E.g. if I select this video, I have a lot of options for this one. E.g. I. Can crop it, I can select how much do I want to crop and it will start to crop it. I can transform it if I want to move it, swimming, scale it basically. And we also have the color correction. If we click here, we can start to modify the color a little bit. E.g. I. Can make it brighter. I can just modify the colors. So we have many different options. We can add some color right here. Move the Exposure, play around with this one. And then we also have the volume and the audio settings. You can add some audio enhancements. You can change the audio, mute the audio, add some noise removal, some other effects. And if I e.g. if I was to add e.g. a. Title, I'm going to add a 3D title like an added right here. I can actually just select this one. And you will see that the options are now different. E.g. I. Can select the parameters, all of the options. But for these titled specifically, if I select the video, it will change. So now these are the options for the video. If I click here is the options for the text that I just created. And I can just modify it. E.g. I. Can just type my name right here. So this part, the inspector part, is going to be very important and you will use it a lot. And then if we go down here, we have the options. Here we have the transform tools that crop or that distort. So in order to use them, make sure that you select what you want to modify. E.g. now I have selected the video and if I go over to crop, I can just crop over my video so I can select the corners. And I personally like to put it around a 50 per cent because I can move this better and I can just start to trim it. So I can trim it right here, or I can just crop it. I can select the cropping option. And if I click on Done, it will be corrupt over. And the other one is the transform option. So this one is very useful if you want to move things. So e.g. I. Can select that my name right here and I can click on Transform. And this one I can just move around my name and I can put it wherever I want. And I can click on Done and Control Z to come back. And on the bottom part, here we have one of the most important parts, which is the timeline, where you can start to modify and make your cuts. So here we have some selections. We can select, we can trim, position, blade soon, hand. I can choose to zoom in a little bit. And then I can click on blade. I can select here. Maybe I can make a cut here and I'm doing some cuts. And then we have the index where we can see some of the files that we have inside the timeline. So we can see some other clips right here. So I have like two. Now that I made some cons, I have like two titles and they have a few of the video once. Okay. And you can just basically click on index to turn it on and turn it off. And if we go over to the right side, here we have this one which is the effects bar. So here we can find all of the effects that we can add into our video. E.g. we can add some, maybe a cartoon effect and I can just added. And it will look a little bit different. Or maybe I can add these sensory effect, which will start to give it a little bit of a blur. So we can, There's many effects on this side. And if we go over to the right side, we have the transitions. So you can add transitions in between two of the videos. E.g. I. Can add this one, and there you go. We got to transition right here. You can also add them as well. You can add e.g. assume transition. And it looks a little bit like that. So yeah, you can add some transitions right here. And you can also select the transition. And on the inspector, you can select some of the preferences, e.g. you can decrease the amount and we can just add it. And it looks a little bit more decreased, not as much of a strong transition. Here we have some of them, one of the most important parts, which is the Export button. So we can click here and then we can export the file. So we can select this one, and then we can just put some of the modified the name and then select where you want to save this file. And then we can click on file and it will start to render your project. So after this, you will have your actual video, your veto rendered. So I can just click on save. And if you go over here to the left side, left top bar, it's actually sharing the video is starting to make the video. And it will finish creating the video. So 80%, 92%. And now, once I go back here, I have it. Test trial one MP4. So I can just double-click on it. And there we go. Here's the video that we just modify it a little bit that we just created. And there you go, there you have the effect. So these are some of the most basic parts. So Final Cut Pro, you have the file section, the projects, the viewer. Then you have the inspector. That timeline where you can start editing your video. On the right side, we have the Effects section, the effects and the transitions. 5. File Import: Organizing and Importing your Footage: Okay, so now we're going to learn how to organize and how to import your videos into Final Cut Pro. And I'm actually going to teach you two different ways, the very easy way and a more organized way. So let's start by the more organized way. So for this, we can go over to our finder. And I personally like to keep my files in an SSD drive. So in this case I have the Samsung T7. So now here I have a folder that is called Travel. Here I have this folder that I call template folder. And inside this template folder, I have many different folders where I can put my audio, my exported videos, the library files, photos, and the raw videos. So what I'm going to do right now is that I'm actually going to duplicate this folder and I'm going to change the name of the folder. So I'm going to call it my trip to Sydney. Okay? And now I can just click on it. And here I kept the different files. So e.g. in the audio file, I have a few other sections such as external recordings, music, special effects. And the other one is inside the videos folder. So e.g. here I have the videos that come from my GoPro camera, my Samsung phone, some screen recordings, my Sony camera, as well as some videos that I download online. So you can actually follow this pattern as well if you would like to have it similarly to the way I have it. But basically you can modify it to the way you want. So this is the way I have the modified. And what I'm going to do now is that here I have another folder called The raw files folder. And I'm actually just going to start moving my files into the folder where they belong. So let's start with this ones. So the first three right here, our music files. So I'm just going to select them and I'm going to drag them over to the music folder. And it should be now inside the next one. Here I have a few other videos. These are MP4, and this one's come from a Samsung phone. So I'm just going to drag them over to my Samsung phone. The next ones are videos that come from my Sony camera. So I'm going to drag them and he re-cap some JPEG files. So some pictures that I took. This one, I'm just going to put them inside the photos folder. So I'm just going to drag them there. And the last ones are the GoPro videos. So I'm just going to select them and move them over to GoPro. So there we go. We have now added a raw files into different folders inside the template folder that I created. So what I'd like to do is that you make the template folder. So you keep all of this as a template. And once you're ready to start importing the videos, you can duplicate it and just rename it. So this one you don't have to move it. This one, you just have to duplicate it every time you make a new project or you start to make new videos. So now what I'm going to do is that I'm going to click here Open Library. And I'm going to create a new library. And this one, I'm going to put inside my Samsung T7. Then I'm going to go to my Travel folder and trip to Sydney. And this one is going to be the library file. So I'm going to select this one library files and then I can click on Save, and then I can put a name. So I'm going to call it trip to Sydney. Then. Okay, we now have created a library. And now I can just click here where it says import media. And then I can go over to my devices. Then I can go over to my Travel folder and this one trip to Sydney. So here we have this one that says Copy to library files. This means that Final Cut Pro is going to duplicate your files and put them in a specific folder. So here you can actually see which specific folder it is. So it's going to place the folder in volumes Samsung T7, travel trip and library files. So you basically going to make a copy of it. And you can also, if you don't want to do this, you can click on Live these files in place. So this way is not going to duplicate all of the files that you already have. And he's going to start to take a lot of space. So I recommend clicking this one lip files in place. And now I can click on this one, Import selected and continuing port. And there we go. So now we have all of our files inside. And this is something that Final Cut Pro makes for you, e.g. here we have the My Files and inside we have all of the audio, all of the GoPro footage, my all of our music, photos. So everything that has that is inside these folders, that has something inside. E.g. if a folder has nothing inside, it's not going to import it. You just going to import whatever has footage or any files inside. And now we can actually create a new project. And I'm going to call it my trip to Sydney. So here we have our project and now we can select e.g. the GoPro footage. And I'm going to select this one and we can now just drag them down. And from here we can just start editing all of our videos and playing around with it. So this one is rather the more organized way. And if you actually want something much, much easier, you can also do it like this. E.g. here you have, you open a project. You don't have to import the files. If you don't want. You only need to have e.g. one project. And if you want to import files the easy way, you can basically just look for your file and then just drag it down. Then just like start editing from there. So this is the way I like to do it sometimes. But it's not the most organized way. Because if you have a lot of footage and you want something easy, you can do it this way where you have all of your footage straight in Final Cut Pro. But if you kind of like Lacey and you just want it to do it the easy way. You can basically just open a project and then just start dragging your, your videos inside e.g. this one. Then I add this one and this one, and you can start editing from there. So this is another way that you can do it. But it's not the most organized way, but it also works. 6. Making Cuts with [⌘ + B]: Okay, so now we're going to learn some of the most basic a row cuts. So right now I added some footage and I'm going to create a new project. So I can click here on New Project and I can choose on which event do I want it? So it's basically going to be on the files event. And this one I'm going to call it I'm just going to call it the video. The video project. Here I can select the video type. So I'm going to select ten ADP and this resolution. And the rate, I'm going to leave it at 29.97. And now I can click on, Okay, and now we have the timeline. So here we can start editing our video. So if I go up here, I can actually change the size of this to fit. So this means that if I put a video right here, I can see it in the biggest view. But if you make it smaller, e.g. 25, you'll become smaller. But the advantage of this is that you can see where the video ends, where the corners end. E.g. here we have the black area. So anything inside the black area is going to be your video. But if you want to zoom in over the black area, you can also do it. So this function of zooming in can be helpful sometimes. So I'm gonna go back to fit and I'm going to reset it and done. So here I have my video which I moved from here to here. And if you want to see it, you can just press on the space bar and it will start to play. So something I like to do is that whenever I start making my video, I'd like to clap. Because if you look down here where you have the audio, it makes a line go up and down. So this tells me where I can start to make my cuts. E.g. if I make a mistake, I can also clap and start once again. So this tells me that the moment I clap, I can cut from there. So e.g. here I have two clips. Then I can start talking. But if I mess up e.g. right here, and I can just clap and start once again. This is another thing that you can do. If you mess up, you can always clap and start once again. So now I'm going to start making some cuts. And in order to cut, you can put your mouse basically and then you click where you want to cut. Or you can basically just move the red line. So in my case, I'm going to put it around here. And in order to cut, there are two ways. If you go up here to where we have the, the mouse symbol, we have different options. So you can use that select. You can use that select option, the trim to position, to select ranges. And there's also this one which is the blade option. So if you select the blade option and then you click somewhere, you can see that it actually made a cut. So now you have this area and this area. So if you want to delete, you can just delete it. And if you want to go back to you, you can press Command Z and it will just undo it for you. However, I don't like to use this blade option too much like this. I like to keep it at de-select option. And I basically like to select the part I want. And then I like to click on Command V. So if you present Command V, it will just call it for you. So now we can just delete this one. And e.g. here I have a big pulse. So if I want to delete this one, I can just select here. Then I can select my part that I want to select, the e.g. I. Can select this one. Then I can select the movie that I want to cut. E.g. if I have two movies, one on top of another one, e.g. I. Have the, let's say I have this one. I have to select which one I want. So if I press Command V, it will just cut one. So in this case I would have to commend, select this one and then also Command B. There is also something to keep into mind. So if you want to call it, you can select which one do you want to cut? Which movie, which video? Then you can select it and press Command V. Then you can select another part and also press Command B. And then I can delete this one by pressing the backspace key. So I recommend remembering this shortcut keyboard, the command B, to make cuts much, much easier. 7. Select, Blade, Trim, Position: Okay, so now we're going to see some of the other different selecting features. So the first one right here is the select option. So whenever you have this select option, you can basically select any part of your video that you made a cut on. The select option is the option that I use the most. And with this one, you can basically select any video that you have. And you can basically choose to move it around, or even e.g. select them part of the video. Then if you press Command B, you can make a cut. So this one is the most useful option in my opinion. The next one is the Trim option. So whenever you use the Trim option, you can basically select a part of the video. And you can even select, you can even trim it a little bit. So if I select this one, I can basically just move around some parts of the video. So this one I can just basically move it around. And this one I can just basically move it around, but this option is not so useful sometimes. The next one is the position option. So e.g. if I use the select option and I tried to move this one up, you notice that the one part of the video that's comes behind it, it's going to move. But if I select the position option and then I try to move it, it will just make a blank square is not going to move whatever you have next to it and push it together to the left. So this one can be useful in some scenarios. The next option is going to be the range selection. So this one basically selects a range, e.g. here I have a period where they don't speak. So I can basically selected and select all of these range. And now you can maybe cut it, copy it, or even deleted e.g. if I press Backspace, you will be deleted. So e.g. I. Can select this one. And I'm going to make this range right here. And now we can just click on backspace and it will delete it for you. So this can be useful in some, in some scenarios. So e.g. here I have this part, what I don't speak and I'm going to select this range and delete it. Okay? The next one is going to be the blade option, which basically cuts. But makes sure that you put it into the video. Because if you try to cut, but the blade is in the black area, you're not going to cut anything. So you basically have to put it in the video area so they can make a cut. Then another code here, then another code here. Then I can use the select key and delete some parts. The next one is the zoom, which basically says what it does. It basically assumes in. I don't like to use this option because you can also do the same by just pinching on your mouse pad. So if I use pinch, I can do the same thing, basically like a normal phone. And you can also zoom in by pressing the Command key and then using plus and minus. So if I use Command and plus, which is also the equals, I can basically assume in and then minus, I can zoom back. So you can also do it this way. And the other option is going to be the hand option. So this one basically works very well for scrolling. So e.g. if I press Command Plus and then I can use the hand option to just scroll around. But I personally like to use two fingers and then just scroll on my trackpad, which also makes the same effect. So if I pinch, I can zoom in, I can zoom back, and I can also just scroll by using two fingers. So I personally prefer to use this option. So from this one's the most useful one is going to be the select option. If you want to cut, select the part and then Command V, Command V, and then delete it. 8. Creating Hot Keys: So if you don't want to press Command B all the time to make cuts. You can also modify your keyboard shortcuts. For this, you can create some hotkeys. So if you go over here to the bar, you can click on Final Cut Pro. Then you can go over to commands and then customize. And you can start to customize the keyboard commands. So now you have the default settings. And what do you want to do is to make a duplicate of the default. And you can call it e.g. my favorite settings. And then you can click on, okay. So for this you can start to make some changes, e.g. if you don't want the command B, you can look for it. So this one is going to be the blade, I believe. This one Command B to blade to just make one cut. So e.g. you can just select it and then you can press the letter B. And it will tell you to reassign it that the equivalent of B, that the key for letter b is assigned to the blade tool. But I wanted to actually make the cut. So I can just click on reassign. And now you have two options. You can either press the command key and the B to make a cut or just simply the letter B. So for this I can just click on save and then close. And now whenever I is selected, e.g. if I want this one and I want to cut it, I can just press the letter B and it will cut it for me. So e.g. I. Can just select this one, letter B, this one, and letter B. And I can just cut it. So you can make some of these changes to whatever keys that you're going to be using more often. So you can modify this to whatever way you find more useful. If you find yourself using some of these commands, very often, it might be useful to just change some of the key commands to something that you can use very easily, e.g. the letter B, or you can also have your own combination of command number 12345. So you can modify this the way you like. 9. Sizing Transform, Crop, Distort: So now we're going to use these functions right here. So this one works really well for maybe transforming. What this means is that you can move your video. You can make it bigger, you can make it smaller, you can move it to the sites. So if I select it and I want to move it more to the right side, I can do this. And one thing I'd like to do with this is that I like to see the corners. So in this case you might have it at FIT. And if you don't see the coordinates, you can make it a little bit smaller. E.g. I. Can make it 50 per cent. And now I can actually see the corners. So that video is going to be everything inside the black area. So if you go above the black area, those parts are not going to be on your video. So sometimes it's useful to maybe make it smaller like this. Or other times it's useful to just go to a lower level, e.g. 25%. And from here you can see which parts are going to be on your video. So this is basically what the transform tool makes. You can make it bigger, smaller, you can move it around. You can also rotate it. You can also click right here on resets. If you make a mistake, whatever you do in transform is also going to be reflected here on the inspector. So if you want to scale the x-axis, you can also do it the y-axis, or maybe scale everything, which is basically like assume you can also play around with the rotation if you want to make it like 90 degrees, you can also do it. And you can also move around the positions. E.g. if you want to move it 500 pixels, you can select, you can write it, you can type it and then press Enter, and it will move it 500 pixels. So the options at the inspector Our rather to just be more accurate. So e.g. if I select this one and I want to move it 500 pixels to the right, and then I select this one. This video is not going to be the same. So if you want them to be the same, you can also select this one and then position it by 500 pixels. And this way it's going to be more accurate. Instead of just like dragging it and using your eyes to see which one is more. Which one looks better. Because if you only use your eyes, it might not be exactly the same. So for that you can use the inspector to be more precise. The next option is going to be the cropping tool. So for this one, you have a few options. You can trim your video, which basically cuts your video. So if you want just your face to show up, you can trim it around. And if you want to move it, you can press on Transform. And then you can just move it to where you want it to. And you can click on crop again, trim, and you can bring it back or you can also call it around. So this one is the Trim option. If I press on reset is just going to reset whatever I have in the crop option. But if I go over to transform, I can now reuse it, whatever I did in the transform tools. And there we go. We now have it back to normal. And now I'm gonna go back to crop. And I'm going to select this one which is the cropping option. So whatever I crop here from the corners, you just going to take everything on my video. So if I select this e.g. I just want like my face e.g. then I can click on Done. You will notice that now my whole video, you just going to be my face. And I can select Crop once again, and then I can reset it if I want to. Let's go a little bit bigger. So cropping is basically just to select what part do you want to crop. And all of this inside this square is going to be your video. And the next option is going to be the Ken Burns effect. So the way this works is that it starts big and it slowly ends on this area. So in this case is going to start wherever the green area is selected. And it's going to stop at wherever the red area is selected. E.g. if I make it closer to my face and I can move the green area right here, e.g. then I can click on Done. The moment I start playing, it will slowly start to crop in to my face. But this depends, of course, on how long your video is. So e.g. if I scroll, you can see that it slowly starts to get into my face. But if you have e.g. a shorter video like this one, I made a code right here, which is quite short. And if I select the Ken Burns effect on this one, it's going to be much, much faster. So I can just select it and then I can click on Play. And it will be much, much faster because it starts to wear. The video starts and it ends on where it ends. So basically starting from the clots that you have made, now we have the distort option. So this one basically just this towards your image. So if I select this corner and I move it, it kind of starts to give this effect. And I can also distort this area. So in some scenarios this might be useful, but in other cases it might not. So these ones are the main options. The most useful ones in my opinion, are going to be this one, the transform tool because you can move around with stuff inside. And this one, the trim tool that is inside the cropping option. Because this one you can just start to trim some parts of your video. There you go. 10. Using the Inspector: Now we're going to learn how to use the inspector. The inspector is this area on the right side. And if you think this area is a little bit small, you can just double-click on it and it will become bigger. And something else is that you can also scroll down the inspector. So you have this bar. So it's not everything you see right here. It's a lot more scrollable. There's more options for this. I'm just going to double-click on it and make it bigger. So the inspector is one of the most important parts of video editing, e.g. if I select this one, this clip, he can tell you all of the information about it. So it shows you how it's transformed and what kind of crop it has. So right now we have the Ken Burns effect and I can move it back to trim. And now we have all of the options for the trim effect. So if I select Ken Burns, I can also redo it and just click back to normal. There's a lot of information here are the inspector and e.g. you also have right here. You can play around with the color corrections. So if you go to exposure, you can make things a little bit brighter or even darker. You can go over to the color. You can make things a little bit more blue if you want more green. And you can go over to the saturation and you can play around with these options. There's too many, There's a lot of different options here for the color correction. You can play around with the color board, or you can add some color wheels. And another option right here is the audio option. So if I select it, I can play around with the volume. So I can make the volume much lower or much higher. But if you make it higher, you don't want to get into the red lines. So I'm going to make it lower. And you also get a few options, e.g. for audio enhancements, you can add some loudness, noise removal, harm removal, some equalization. And you also have this one which has more information about the clip that you're using. And from here you can even change the name, e.g. I. Can call it just Hugo. And I click on Enter, and I changed the name of my clip. And you can also add more extra information, like the name of the camera, you shoot it on the scene it is which take it is the angle of the camera. And so right now I have it at the extended mode. And you might have it at the basic mode if you use it the first time. So you can play around with these options as well. So if you think the basic mode is not enough for you, you can try the general mode or even the extended mode, or even go into the other more advanced options. And you can also click right here reveal in finder for the location of your video. So if I click here, I can see my video now. And I can also import it back if I want. If I go back here, we can see some of the effects that we have added. So I added some of the color effects right here. And you can also toggle them on and off if you want. And another important feature, e.g. is that if you add some of the video effects, e.g. you might add some blur. Take e.g. the Gaussian blur. I can add it, I can grab it and then I can edit. And now we have a new effect right here. And you can play around with the amount. So if you want something to be a little bit blurry, you can make it more blurry or less blurry. You can play around with the horizontal. You can add some blurry boost. So there's a lot of options right here. If you want to disable it, you can just press on the check mark. And there's a lot of options, e.g. if you want to add a green screen, which is cold, a key, or you can go here and you can add it basically. And you can play around with the green screen. So e.g. I. Can add one more picture right here, and then I can make it bigger. And so it looks like I have a green, a green screen on the back, so it changes the background. And from here you have a lot of the other options for the green screen. You can play around with this. So this is why the inspector is very important because you have a lot of effects, a lot of options. And using the inspector, you can make them even better. You can basically modify a lot of the settings. 11. B-roll: So now we're going to add all their videos on top of our video. So here I have my video, which is one of the previous lessons for this course. And I'm going to add another one on top of this one. So I'm going to add this one which is my computer screen recording. And I can put it on the top. So the way this works is that whatever is on the top is going to come up first. It's going to have priority. So right now I can only see myself if I move the red line, but once I move it to this part, I will see the other video on top. So whatever you have on top is going to have priority. So the first thing I wanna do is to synchronize them. And the way I like to synchronize them is with a clap that I do. Because if you can actually see right here, here, there is kind of like a waveform that goes up and down. So this tells me that I can actually synchronize my video to this waveform. So first I'm going to cut some of the corners, trim the corners. And I think it's gonna be right here. And then this one, I can move it around here. And if I look at it, I think it looks pretty accurate now. So I'm going to listen to it and wrote the book. I think it's pretty accurate. Okay. Maybe a little bit more. Let's see. And I think this one should be fine. Inside this. Yeah, this one is perfect. Now, I'm going to lower the volume on mine. So here we have our a role which is the main video. On top of that we have the B-roll. So something you can do, e.g. is that you can make it a little bit bigger and you can start to customize it. E.g. I. Can show you my computer's camera and e.g. if I cut here, then I can cut here as well. And if I press the letter V, I can hide some parts. E.g. you can see my computer. And once I get to this area, you will be able to see myself. But I don't have the audio because this one also heights the audio. So in this case, I think I can actually just detach the audio. And this one I can unhide it. Okay. Folder. I'm just going to drag that down. It looks pretty good. So this is basically how it works. Whatever you put on the top will get priority, e.g. if I add another video right here, which is a video of me riding a bicycle. Once they get to this part, it will switch over to my bicycle rate. And you will still have the audio coming from your other sources. This can be quite helpful, e.g. if I'm speaking and then I want people to see me riding a bicycle, I can just put it right here. And it sounds like I'm actually speaking while also riding the bicycle. So there is something that you can also do. Whatever you put in the top will get priority. And whatever you put in the bottom will not be seen unless you start to make this smaller, e.g. if I make this one a little bit smaller and let me hide it for awhile. And if I also crop this one, e.g. if I just want my face to show up, I can do it like this. And I can also make it smaller. If I drop it and make it smaller. And then let's show this one. You can also see my face on this one, but my face is underneath. It's underneath. And if I want to put my face on the top, what I have to do is that I have to bring this one's down underneath my other video. So now this one gets priority, the one on the top. So if I make my face bigger, it gets priority and whatever is on the bottom will come after. So the way this works is that you can have different types of layers. 12. Compound Clips: Something else that you can do is that you can also make some compounds clips. And the way you do this, e.g. here I have two clips, the left one and the right one. And if I want to make them into one, I can just select both of them. Then right-click, then click on this one new compound clip. So I just click on it. And then I can click on, Okay. And there you go. We now have a compound clip. So we now do is made both of these videos into one. But because the video is like this, is actually quite small, it's just going to look like this. And if you wanna go inside the clip, you can just double-click on it. And you can see the original video from there. And if we decide to e.g. we want to on crop this, we reset the crop and we also reset the transform. Now we have a big video. The moment we come back, it's gonna be the full billionaire. But use only going to be half, because inside this video, we only apply this to this part. We forgot to apply it to this part. So we can also crop this one, reset it, then reset the transform. Once we go back, the whole clip is going to be into one. So this, by the way, this works is that you get your two clips and you turn them into one. And if you go inside, you can modify the original two clips. So I'm going to go back to the way it was before, which is like this. And something else that I can do, e.g. I. Can select this one. And if I press the Command key, I can select another one. So I hold the Command key. And then I can select this one which is the audio. So I can right-click, click on new compound clip. And then, Okay, and now we have added both clips into one. So basically I added the audio into that clip itself. We can also combine these two as well. If I select all of them, and then I click on new compound clip, then, and then I click on, Okay, everything is now just one clip. So you can also do something like this as well. But I don't recommend this way because here I only have one clip. So if I want to move my head, take e.g. my head is blocking something. I have to go inside, then I have to go e.g. inside this clip, then I think I have to make a cut, then another cut. Select that part. And then I can just move my head to another direction. So this will apply only to the specific code. So this is something that you can do. And then once you come back the whole clip, we will have that inside, inside the big clip. So this is something that you can also do. You can also merge your clips into one. But once you want, if you want to modify it, it can get a little bit tricky sometimes. E.g. if I want to cut this and I want to move it, I will have to move the entire clip because now this is the new video itself. So this is something to keep in mind, but this function can be quite useful. And I use this function on almost all of my videos. And something that you can also do, e.g. if you have a compound clip and you want to on compounded, you want to open it. You can press the Shift key, that command key, and then the letter G. And this one will just on compounded for you. So I can also select this one that I also have a compounded Shift Command and G, and it will own compounded for me one more time. And there you go. So this is something that you can also do. 13. Adding images: Besides adding videos, you can also add some images. The way I like to add images is basically the easy way. I just go to my folders. I find an image and then it just drag it straight into the timeline. And there you go. We now have an image. And I'm just going to assume in by pinching. And if you want to make your image a little bit longer, you can select one of the corners. If I select this corner, I can make it bigger. And if I select this one, I can make this one bigger. Likewise, you can also do it with your video. So if I make a cut here, I can also make this one bigger. But basically this is what's over here anyways. So if you kind of like cut something and you want it back, you can do it this way. So e.g. if I put my image here and I'm talking, it will look like this. I'm actually speaking and then there's an image. And I think I can stop this and I can make this image a little bit bigger. So e.g. if I'm talking about something creative that can be talking about it. And then you can see the image. And then we can e.g. caught it, go back to normal. And so this is something that you can also do. And let's try another example. I can use this image and this one, I can also make it smaller, e.g. if I'm talking about this person, I can make this image smaller and put it e.g. in one of my sides. And you can put any type of images, any type of graphics, anything you want as well, and something else that you can do. E.g. if I grabbed this picture, which is the picture of the Mona Lisa, I can make it bigger first, make it full screen. The next thing I can do is to add the cropping. But I'm going to select the Ken Burns effect. So this way, it will start fool, let's say everything. And it ends exactly at the painting. And let's make this one a little bit smaller. So let's see how this one looks. It starts big and then zooms in into it. If you make it a little bit longer, it will be slower. So it starts big and it will slowly going to zoom into it different. So this way you can give it some motion. Instead of having like a still image, it kind of moves. So it looks a little bit more intertwining depending on what you wanna do, okay? So if you want to, if you want it to end it another way, you can just go back to the crop and modify where you want the Ken Burns effect to end. So e.g. you can also move it like this. I'm going to start on the left side and I'm going to end on the right side. So this one will look like this, okay? Like it's going from the left. Click on it to the right. 14. Screenshot an Image from your Video: And if you have e.g. a. Video, and if you want to get an image straight from this video, e.g. if I want an image right here of this bridge, I can basically place my holder where I want it to be. So I placed these red line. And then I can go over here to where it says Share. And I click on it. And then I click on this one, save current frame. So I click on it. And then you can put a name. So I'm going to call it the bridge. And then I can click on Next, and then you can select where you want it to be. So I'm going to put it on this one trip to Sydney and photos. And then I can click on Save and it will start to export it and it's finished. So now if I go back to my folder and I opened this one trip to Sydney, then I go to photos. Here I have it, the bridge image. And there you go. So now if you want, you can also drag it into the timeline if you want. And then we can e.g. cut it. There we go. So it's suiting into the bridge, then it's not moving after. This might be helpful in some cases where you'd like something that's very nice intro video and you want to make kind of like a screenshot of it. 15. Skimming: So now we're going to learn about skimming on Final Cut Pro. So the way skimming works is that if you look on the right side, here we have a few options. And you might not have these two selected. You might have one. And in order to get the second one to work, you have to have this one working. So if the one on the left is not selected, you cannot move this one. This one is basically to skim around the video. And the other one is to have to be able to listen to the audio as well. So e.g. here I can select this one, which will allow me to skip around the video. So you can see that I'm talking about. You cannot hear me talk. But once I click on this one, the second one, you'll be able to hear me talk as well. Thanks wave. And if I turn it off, you cannot hear me talk, but you can still see the video moving. And if I turn it off, you cannot see me talk or CWT or moving. The only way to do it is by holding the red line and then moving it around. But if I select this one, I can basically just move it around anywhere I want. These ones are the two other tools that you might find useful sometimes. And there are also some shortcuts. So if you press the letter S, you turn on this one. And if you press Shift and S, you turn on the audio Shift and S Once again, you turn it off. And S for the video skimming. So S for the video and Shift, S for the video scaling. And once you press them again, you can turn them off. 16. Adding Music: So now we're going to add some music into our video. So this one is very simple. You basically just look for a music file and then you just put it and you drag it down to your video. Now if I play it, wait a little bit. You can hear the music and you can also hear me speak. But I think the music is actually quite loud. So if I'm actually doing like a speaking video, I'd like to lower the music to maybe around the negative 30. So something between negative 25 and negative 35. So it depends on how loud the music is and where you got your music from. But in this case, I'm going to leave it at negative 30. And if I start playing it, you can kind of hear it very faintly in the background. But I think it's good for these kind of videos and something else that you can do, e.g. here we have our video. My video was to end at the same time as the music. What it can actually do is that I can select the song and I can drag this down. So you can see right here how it makes like a black curve. This means that the music will start to faint at the end. So you can listen to it older. And right at the end is going to get lower and lower and lower so forth. So this is also something that you can do if you want to put your own music and you want it to end, and you don't want it to be like a very abrupt ending. You want it to just slowly fade down. This is something that you can do. 17. Syncing Microphone Audio with Video: So here I have another file, and this one is rather an external microphone recording of the same video right here. The audio and this video comes straight from my camera, but the audio in this file comes from my external microphone. So what I'm gonna do is that I'm going to add the audio from my external microphone into my project. Now, I want to sync these two. So if you listen to the first one, this my camera audio is that I'm actually going to duplicate. If you listen to the second one, this one is my external microphone. So in this case the external microphone sounds a little bit better. So what I wanna do is that I want to go over, I wanted to memorize the names first. This one is number eight. And I kind of put like a similar name for both. So now I want to go over to my files, to my smart collections, and I'm actually just going to search them by typing number eight, then period. And I have it right here. This one is one, and the microphone is this one. So I'm going to hold the command key and I'm going to click on it. So what this does is that I can actually select both if I hold the command key. So I'm going to right-click and I'm going to click on this one, synchronized clips. And from here you can select how you want the video definition and all of these settings. So now I'm just going to click on, okay. And what you get is a new file right here. And you can tell that it's a synchronized file because you have these special kind of like symbol right here. So what I can do now is that I can just drag it and I'm just going to put it right here. I'm going to click on Replace. So it's basically just going to replace that file. And now I can just delete this one. So now we have our file with the audio that's not from the camera, but from the external microphone, which in some cases might sound actually better. So now here I have a folder. If you want to make it a little bit louder, you can of course, just go over to the inspector and make it a little bit louder. That is called Travel. So that's basically how you synchronize audio. You basically select them, then you can click on synchronous clips. 18. Matching Audio: So we learn how to sync audio, and now we're going to learn how to match audio. So here I have my video with the audio from my external microphone. And now I'm going to go over to my folder, and now I'm going to add my screen recording. So I just grab it and I drop it here. And what I like to do on my videos is that I like to clap because the club makes a waveform go up and down. So if you see right here, we have a few waveforms that go up. So here's 12345. What I wanna do is that I'm going to trim, I'm going to cut a little bit of the corners where there is no audio. And now I'm just going to synchronize them by trying to put the audios on the same line basically. So I'm going to zoom in. Then I'm going to move my red line. And this one, I'm also going to move it around right here. So this one looks very, very similar. And now if I start to play them, how to add your final, you can listen to both audience. So now I'm just going to lower the audio on this one on the screen recording. So now I'm just going to be using one audio, which is the one coming from my video. But both of these files, both of these videos are actually synchronized. They're basically on the same page. So this is how you also match the audio from one video to the other video if you're actually saying the same thing. So this can be very helpful if you're making like tutorial videos and you have to screen record with one software and grab the audio with another software. So this one is excellent for that. 19. Finding Royalty Free Music: If you want to put some music in your videos, one of the websites that I recommend is this one, Epidemic Sound. So this one is one of the most common ones, so one of the most popular ones. And Epidemic sound has a 30 day free trial and you get access to a lot of music. And for Epidemic Sound, you actually have to pay. It starts from $9 a month when you pay for the whole year. Otherwise it's $15 a month. But it has a very large collection of music. So the way this works is that you get a lot of categories. So here I have different types, e.g. classical music, rock music. And you also have for different types of themes, e.g. if you wanna do podcasts or broadcasts thing ads, or maybe even some blogs. So if we go two blocks, e.g. we can listen to some of their music and we can listen to a lot of these songs. And you can basically just press here and it will start playing. And you can also download this song. So you just click here download, and then you can click on download the full mix, and it will start to download it for you. If you have this subscription, you can put them in your videos and then you will not get copyright it on YouTube or other platforms. So now I just grabbed my song. I go back to Final Cut Pro and I can put it down here. And then I can split it right here. And I can make e.g. a. Blog and the music will be here. So this type of music, I believe, might be better off with e.g. like, like car ride. And now I can just throw in my music. And then I can zoom in a little bit. That looks and sounds pretty good, Definitely. So this is the website that I recommend for getting some copyright-free music. So you can check it out and you can check out the 30 day free trial. 20. Sound effects: So now we're going to add some sound effects into our final Cut Pro project. So I'd like to find sound effects, also an epidemic sound. So for this, we're gonna go over to browse. And here we have the option of sound effects so we can click on it. And here we have many different types, e.g. cartoon type, wash type, some footsteps prompts, the ambience. So musical sound effects. So in this case, I'm gonna go for, Let's check out the ambiance. And there's some sound effects right here, e.g. the forest sound, some birds, some restaurants. I think this is okay. Well it depends on what you wanna do. But something quite common might be this one, the whoosh sound effect. So let's listen to the first one. This one sounds quite good for a type of transition. So let's download the first one. Here we go. Now we have it right here. And from here I can just grab it and I can put it into Final Cut Pro, e.g. I. Can put it maybe down here and maybe a little bit more in the middle. So this one will be like this. And then there's a sound effect going on. So I think this one looks interesting. So this is basically the way that you can get some sound effects and put them into Final Cut Pro. And what I like to do actually is to open the folder where I have my Final Cut Pro project that I'm working on the library. And I like to place them here where I have the audio right here and special effects. I can just go back to my Google Chrome, grab it here, and paste it on the special effects folder. And there we go. Here we have it now. So now it's a little bit more organized. So if I'm looking for it, I know where the special effects are. So this is how you add some special effects into Final Cut Pro. And Epidemic sound has a huge amount of different types. So I can try another one. This one is metallic fireball. There's a lot of different special effects that you can get from this website. 21. Voice Over: So now we're going to record a voice over. So before you start making a voice-over, you can go over to System Preferences and then go over to sound, and then go over to input. And makes sure that your microphone, the microphone that you want to speak to, is actually connected to your computer. So the one I want is this one, the hyper x quad cast. And the output, that's basically where you want the sound coming from. But the most important part is the input. So make sure that your computer recognizes this microphone. And once we have that, we can go back to Final Cut Pro. And here I have a video, which is a cooking video that I've made a few days ago. I was making some miso soup and I want to add a voice over to this one. So the way to add a voice-over is that you go over to window up here. And then you can click on this one, record voice-over. Or you can also use this command, the option key, command key and number eight. If I try it, Let's see Option Command and eight. There we go. It's now opened. Or you can just basically go here and click here, which might be easier. Here we have the voice-over and the moment I press here is going to start playing. And at the same time, I can actually start speaking. So let's give it a try. I just click here 321. So now we're going to make a very good miso soup. Okay, that's, that's not what I wanted to do, but okay. So now that I pass it, we should have the audio coming right here. So here we have, here we have the audio so I can click on it. And there you go. So unlike this function, because it puts your voice directly into your Final Cut Pro project. So e.g. if I want to make another voice over around this part where I make some tofu. I can just put my line right here, window and record voice-over. And then I can click on it once again, 321 and it will start straight from here. Then we add some tofu. So we call it the tofu in half, and then we make it into squares. So this is just an example. But now here we go, here we have the voice-over for this part and we can listen to it. So we got the tofu in half. And of course you can do a much better job than I'm doing at this and you can make some cuts into this. But this is the example that I wanted to show you. 22. Audio Enhancements: Loudness, Noise Removal, Hum Removal: Now we're going to look at the audio enhancement feature. So here I kept my video and you can see the audio right here, which is the lines in the bottom. So if I select my video, I can go up here to the inspector. And here we have a few options, e.g. we have the options to modify the way it looks, the way the video looks. We can also modify the colors, and here we have the option for the audio. So in this option we can e.g. lower the audio bar. We can also make the audio higher baud. What we wanna do is that we want to look at some of these functions, e.g. here we have the loudness option. So if I play my video and then I click on loudness, your raw files folder, you can make it a little bit louder file. And if I make it higher, even higher folder, and then I can play with the uniformity. And emotionally just got bird, I think this one doesn't sound too good actually, it's giving my video some yellow lines, which means that my video is speaking. So you don't want to do that. Another function that you can use this, the noise removal, but be a little bit careful with this one because it might distort your audio. So if we turn it on, I'm going to drag. It sounds quite good I think, but if we make a highlight x1 here I have a few other is not so good. I can actually hear it is not so good. So if you want to remove some noise, you might want to start at a low level and from there, keep on going up and up until you feel like your voice sounds good and the background noise is removed. Just rename it. Because if you put it too high, your voice might get distortions. And the other option is this one, the harm removal, but this one is not so good, it makes my audio sound quite bad. And the last ones are the GoPro. And let's try another frequencies. So I don't like this one because it kind of makes my audio sound like a robot. So these are three of the options that you can use. I think the most useful one might be either the loudness or the noise removal. But you can play around from a low level and then start to go to higher levels. 23. My Favorite Compressor Settings: So now we're going to use decompressor. So if we go over to the right side, here we have two options. The first option on the left is to add some effects. So you will start by having some visual effects at the top. But if you scroll all the way down, you will find the audio effects. What we want to use is going to be the compressor. So we can search for it compressor and make sure you are in the all tab. Because if you look for it at the distortion tab or the ICO tab, you will not find it. So you have to go to all in order to search for it properly. Here we have decompressor, so we can just grab it and then we can add it to our video. And now it will give a new effect here, V2, our video. And by default, it makes your video a little bit louder over to the music folder. So what I wanna do is that I'm going to have the original video and then I'm going to make a copy of this video and put it on the bottom. Okay? So I'm gonna give the compressor to the one on the top and you can see the differences on the audio wave line. So e.g. if I make a cut right here, and then I do this, we can hear the difference videos. So you can actually follow this the way I have it. But basically you can modify it. So when is much louder than the other one. So now if we go over to our Inspector and then we scroll down, here we have the compressor. And if you click on this little square, you can click on it and it will bring all of the compressor settings. So by default, it has some compressor settings already installed. But I want to change them and use the ones that I actually like. So in my case, I like to put the input gain, which is going to make it a little bit higher and lower. So e.g. if I move it, it starts to make it lower. And if I make it higher, it starts to make my audio higher. But you don't want these yellow lines to appear. So in my case, I like to put the input level at around two dB. So let's see 1.2. Okay, I'm going to leave it right here, two dB. And you can also make it higher or lower, but just don't try to get it over the line. And the next one is going to be the threshold. And for this one, I like to put it at negative six. The next one is going to be the knee. And I'd like to keep this one at around 0.9. The next one is the ratio and electric keep this one at around 2.5 to one. So if you move your mouse, you will not see it, but if you get it close, you will see the numbers. The next one is going to be the attack. And the attack, I'd like to keep it at around three. And a number 33 milliseconds three MS. And the next one is going to be the makeup. I like to keep it at 1.5 and the auto gain, I like to keep it off and the release, I keep it at 12:12. Ms. MS. For this part, I like to keep the limiter on and I like to put the threshold at around one. So these are the compressor settings that I like to use for my videos. And after this, if you want to add it, you can go over here to the top and then you can save this special preset. So you're going to have multiple types of presets. So you can play around with this and then save and save onto your find one that you like. So if I save the preset and it's going to be in the back of your thing. So you have to move your window and then you can put a name. So I'm going to call it the compressor, compressor settings. One, maybe two. I'm going to call it number two. And then I can click on Save. And here we go. We now have it saved as compressor settings too. You can always go back to the default settings if you don't like the settings that you chose or the new ones that you created. Or you can also use some of the settings that are already here, e.g. your boys. You can select the special type of boys and you can play around with the settings right here. Try some of the different voice and audio templates. Or you can also use the settings that I'm using. 24. My Favorite EQ Settings: So now we're going to look at my favorite EQ settings. So for this, we go back to our effects on the right side. Then we click on this button. And if you're on the top, you can just scroll down to the effects area, to the audio effects. You can, then you can click here in all. And the one I'm looking for is called EQ. And this one is going to be the channel EQ. So I'm going to grab it and I'm going to drag it into my video. And now if I go to the Inspector on the top side, I can scroll down. I have to select it first because I was selecting the one in the bottom. So make sure you select the video that you want. So I selected first and then I can go over to the settings. And here I have the Channel EQ. So I can click on this square. And here we have a few more settings like the other one. You can also use some of the default template settings, e.g. if you have a voice, you can select like a male voice or a female boys, or you're playing guitar, you can select some of these settings that are designed for guitars. But what I'm gonna do now is set, I'm going to click on the analyzer. And the moment you start to play your video, you will start to see this line come up. And what I wanna do now is that I want to play around with these lines. So if you select this one, this one is going to be, it will give you a small dot. So we can actually make it higher. And it will start to notice some changes in your audio and the video, e.g. like this, then I make it smaller. I have the videos that come from my GoPro camera, higher my Samsung phone. And so for this one, I like to keep these settings. So these ones are the settings that I use, but it might be different for you. So if I select the default, my GoPro sound like this Samsung, but in version number to screen recordings, my Sony camera, it makes the audio sound a little bit better in my opinion. And here you can e.g. you can make it higher as well as some stock videos. And it will start to notice your audio sound different. And you can also play around with the yellow one bed. I download it online. You can do sounds very different patterns. And if you go up, it kind of sounds a little bit deeper. You can basically play around with this one and see which one you like. The way boardings. This one doesn't sound too good. Maybe hire music, special effects. I think there's one sounds good. And this one. And the other one is inside the videos folder. So e.g. here I have, if I go too low, it kind of sounds like a like a radio and if I go too high, I come from I go you cannot say it's like an old somebody with all the my opinion, like an old movie camera, my Samsung. And this one, you can own layer, some screen recordings. My Sony camera. Now, I don't like this one, so I'm going to keep it at around as long as this one. Let's see videos that I download online. So you can actually, so you can basically play around with this lines and see which one makes your audio sound better. So you can play around with all of them. But if you want the ones I'm using, these are basically the settings. And you can pause the video and copy them. So you can feel free to also try this, the settings and play around to see which ones do you think sound better, in your own opinion? 25. My Favorite Limiter Settings: Now we will use the limiter. So for this, we go back to the audio effects and we searched for limiter. And here we have this one. You can use either one, the one from Final Cut Pro or the one from logic. They're basically the same. So I'm gonna go with the one from Final Cut Pro. And I'm going to drag it into my video. And then we go up here to our Inspector. We select the video. We go to the Inspector and we'll scroll down to this one limiter. And then we can click on the square. So these are the settings that I actually use. The first thing I've changed is this one, the mode. I changed it from precision mode over to legacy. And I keep this one. D is soft knee on. And for the gain, I like to put it at plus 45. So if you cannot scroll very well, you gotta, you have to select it and then go either up or go down. What have you tried to scroll sideways is a little bit hard. So I'm gonna go for 4.5. So the gain is basically going to make your audio little bit louder. For the release, I like to keep this one at 310. So I screw up and this 1310, the output level. I keep this one at negative three. So I think this one looks pretty good. And you look ahead, I leave this one at 2.0. So these ones are the ones that I use. And if you feel like you want to try some different ones, so you want to play around with the different functions. You can try it out and see which ones work better for you. And now I'm just going to click the X button. And I'm going to listen to this one. You can actually follow this pattern as well if you would like to have it similarly to the way I have it, and if you want to save them so that you can always use them in the future. You can go over here to save effects preset. Then you select them, and then you can click it, then you can put a name for it. E.g. I. Can type favorite audio effects. Maybe number one. And then you can just click on save. And if you go over here to your settings, there are audio settings and then you erase what you wrote here in the search bar. You can find it here. So you have to scroll down to the F. And right here, favorite audio effects. So I can just grab this one and pass it over to the other clip. And you will see that now the audio is the same as this one weekend of it. But basically you can modify. So now you can just basically grab it and then add it to other parts of the video. And it will have the same effect. So if you're making one video and then you want to do another video and you want the same settings. You can basically just grab it and drag it. And then you video will have all of the audio settings. So that's it for this one. 26. Voice Effects: Something else that you can do if you go over to your effects and you go over to the Audio tab, you can add some effects, some boys effects. So e.g. here we have the alien. And if we grab it and drag it over here, it will change my voice and it will sound kind of like an alien. Okay, That sounds terrible. But you can also go down here to the inspector. And you can also change the preset, e.g. you're an alien or a moon cat. Let's try this one. So you can actually follow this pattern that, that sounds horrible. And you can also lower the amount, e.g. if you would like to have it for a lot of similarity to them. Now I don't like this one or the marsh and effect. Okay, this sounds terrible, but it might be useful in some situations where you want to distort the audio of the person that's speaking, maybe it's an anonymous person and that person doesn't want people to hear their voice. I guess that's useful. Let's turn this off. Remember to press on the check mark and let's try a different one. E.g. I. Can try the helium. Let's try the helium effect. And let's listen to it. This pattern as well if you would like to get it. And then I can lower it a little bit the way I have it. Oh, it sounds like so you can actually follow this. Sounds like a lady speaking. My voice sounds very different. So I think these ones, some people might find it funny if you want to try something like this. And there's a few other options, There's too many options. Let's try the robot option. You can actually follow this pattern as well if you would like to. Okay, that sounds terrible. So let's turn it off. So yeah, you can play around with all of these ones, all of the functions. So some of these ones might make your audio sound a little bit better. Others might be there just for fun, or others might have like a telephone effect and old TV effect, a vintage radio effect. Let's write this one similarly to the way I have it. So if you need any of these ones, then you can totally use them. 27. Video Effects: Okay, so now we're going to add some video effects. So for this, we're going to go over to the right side, right here. And here we have two options. One is for effects and the other one is for transitions. So we're going to select the first one, the effects option. And then we can click here in all video and audio. Or you can just go to all videos. So from here we have lots of different effects that you can add them to your videos. E.g. we can add a blur effect. And in this case the one I like is the Gaussian blur. So I can drop it here and it looks a little bit blurry. And if you go over to the inspector on the top side, then you select this one, which is the video inspector, not the audio inspector or the color inspector. Try the video inspector, which is the first one. Here we have the options for the Gaussian blur. So we can make it less or we can make it more. And we can also make it more horizontal or vertical, or add some boost to the blur, e.g. right here, we can add a lot of boost and it's quite hard to see. And maybe horizontal, maybe some. So this is basically how you add some blur. And if you want to turn it off, you can click here on the checkmark. And if you click again, you turn it on. And there's also some other ones, e.g. this one, the film. And if you put your mouse around it, you can see a preview of how it looks. So I can check the paper. This one looks like this. The alien lab, maybe some artificial light. So there's a lot of different effects, e.g. the cartoon effect. If you find one that you like, you can basically just grab it. Let's try the cartoon effect and put it into your video. Video said, I download online. And here I have another video which is me riding a bicycle. So I can also put it right here. And it looks a little bit like a cartoon. And then I can click on here to turn it off. And we can try some of the other ones. E.g. we can add the desert glare, which looks like you're in a desert. I can just edit. And they in tonight. Let's try this one. This one is looks like it's about nighttime. Some dream effect. Or this one is kind of like if you're dreaming. And let's say that you liked this effect. You like how it looks like. You can go over here to the same effects preset. And from here you can save the effects. So here I have the effects option, the cartoon desert layer dream and the color board. And you can also move the transform. So in this case, I'm not going to select the transform ones. I just want the effects. If you want to remove one, you can just click on them or select them. And then you can put the name e.g. my effect, my effects number one. Then you can click on Save and it will save it for you. So let's try it out. And here, now we can search for it. My effects number one. And we can just grab it and we can add it to other videos. So this one also has the same effect. So this is pretty useful sometimes. I think that the choice of effects that I selected were not the best. So you can play around with the choice of effects and find one that you like, one that makes your video look better or that kind of conveys the message that you want to give. 28. Paste Attributes to all: So now we're going to learn how to copy and then paste some effects from one video to another. So here I have two identical clips. And I want to add an effect on my left clip. So I'm going to add this one, the paper. And I also want to add some audio effects. So I want to add this one, the audio number one. So the audio number one has all of these settings that I like. Decompressor, the channel EQ, and the limiter. So in order to pass those effects from my first video to the second one, I want to select my first video. And then I click on Command C. And then I select my video and I go over here to edit. And you can either click here to where it says paste effects. And this will paste all of the effects, e.g. if I click on it. Here we go, we have the video effects as well as the audio effects. So here we have decompressor, the channel EQ, and the limiter. And we also have the H paper effect. Or you can also do it this way. If I click Command Z to go back, I can select my video and then I go over to Edit. And I can click on this one, paste attributes. So this one rather allows me to select what effects do I want to paste? E.g. if I want to paste the video effects, but I don't want all of the audio effects. E.g. I. Only want the channel EQ and the H paper effect. I can deselect them and then I can click on paste. And there we go. We now have one effect which is the H defect. And we also have the only one effect, which is the Channel EQ right here. And something else that you can do, e.g. is that I can make this one bigger. So I selected, and I'm going to assume in this one is zoomed in and this one is not. So I can do that same thing. I press Command C to copy, and then I select my second one and I can click on edit, and then I can click on Paste Attributes. And in this case, I only want the transform effects. So I'm going to select this one transform and I'm going to keep all of them, the position rotation, scale an anchor. Then I can click on Paste. So now we have the same effect on both videos. So you can do this to transfer maybe some of the effects, some of the audience. And you can also transfer like the modifications you make if you make one video a little bit bigger, or you crop the video and you want the same settings on the other video. So this is how you do this. And I wanted to make a separate video belted because it can be a very useful tool. 29. Censoring effect: Another effect that you can use is the censoring effect. So for this, you go back to our Effects tab and we're going to search for sensor. And here we go. So I can just grab this one and paste it over here. And we get a sensor, like a circle. And from here you can select the amount of sensor you want if you want to censor it a little bit or a lot. You can also give it some boost, some sensor boost. And you can also make it bigger. E.g. you can move the sidebar here to increase the radius. Or you can also just hold it like this. You can also move it around by holding the center. So if you grab this circle in the center, you can move it around. Something else that you can do is that you can change the type. So here I have the pixelate mode. And you can also select e.g. the blur mode, which will give it kind of like a blurry mode. Or we can also select the darkened mode, which is just like a big circle. And you can make it like this, e.g. and they cannot see the face. And we can also select the rectangle mode, which is basically like a rectangle. And from here you can change the aspect ratio. If you want a square, you can make it smaller. It can look like a square. And you can make it like a rectangle or like vertical or horizontally, like this. And if you want to like blurb, e.g. somebody's eyes, you can do it like this. And if you want, you can also select this one which is the invert function, and it basically inverts whatever it has. So instead of the black square being this one, everything around it is going to be censored like this. So you can basically make this one a little bit bigger. So you guys feel free to play around with this effect. I think some of you might find that useful as well. So if you're doing e.g. that tutorial video and you have some information that you don't want people to see. You can always use the sensory effect and you can blurry it. So people will not be able to see what, what's actually written there. 30. Transitions: So now we're going to learn how to use transitions. So if we go back to our effects section right here on the right area, we have two options. The first one is the effects option, but the second one is the transitions option. So transitions, you put them in between clips. And it will kind of give it a nice transition effect, e.g. here I have some three videos through different videos. And I'm going to add a transition. I'm going to add e.g. the cross dissolve. I'm just gonna put it right here in the middle. And I'm going to press play. It kind of gives it like a soap feeling. Where you go from, where you transition from one to the other one. And there's many different types of effects. E.g. you can try like a circle wipe. This one will look a little bit different. It will look like a circle. And you can also try, Let's see what else we have actually added. I downloaded some special transitions and these are the ones that I like, the glitch pack. So for this one, e.g. I. Can put it right here in the middle. And let's check it out. So this one kind of gives it like a glitch effect and then it changes. And I can add another one, a different one. And this one gives us a shaking feeling. So this part has lots of different transitions. So I recommend to play around with them and see which ones you like and something else that you can do. E.g. if you zoom in closer to your video to a transition, you also have these lines in the corners. So these ones, you can make the transition a little bit smaller as well. So you can just hold it right here, or you can move them around if you want the transition to be longer or if you want it to be smaller. So if you hold that top part, you can move it around. Or if you hold the bottom part, you can make them smaller. So if I hold this part on the top, I can move around the video. And if I hold this one, I can make it smaller or you can make it even longer, e.g. just by dragging it and making it longer. 31. Audio Crossfades: So now we will learn how to use the audio cross fades. So sometimes you might have two clips and in-between the two clips, there might be kind of like a crackling sound. So if I play this one, it's a little bit hard to hear. So it sounds kind of like a crackling sound. And the way that you can get rid of this is by applying the audio cross fades. So I'm going to select both of my clips right here. And I'm going to press on the Option key and then the letter T. And now you can see right here, it made an effect where it goes kind of like down and then up again. So if we now play it, the sound is gone. If I select both of my clips and then I click on Expand the audio, you can see what's going on right here. You can see that part of the boat clips have been intertwined. And then one goes down while the other one then goes up. So there is kind of like an S caught that a lot of people, when they do videos, they do this. And the easiest way to do this is by using the audio cross fades. And sometimes I recommend using this with all of your clips. So if you want to apply the audio crossfade to all of them, everything that has audio, you can just select them. And then you can press on the Option key and the letter T. So now all of them have the audio cross fades effect. So this makes your audio sound a little bit smoother and it gets rid of some of the unwanted noise that you might have. 32. Install 3rd Party Plugins: So now we're going to learn how to install some third-party plug-ins. So here I have a transition effect that I want to download. So for this, I can just click right here on download the free template. And it will download it for me. And here I have it. So now I can go over to my downloads folder, which is right here. And I can unzip it. And here we go, 667. And if you want, you can also change the name e.g. I. Can call it d, Let's see, soon backwards transition. And when I copy it and rename it right here. And now, the way that you install a transition is that you have to find a folder where all of your effects are. So for this, you have to open the movies section right here. I'm going to open a new tab. And from here you have to find the folder that is called motion templates. So you click on it. And here you have a few other folders. And the way it works is that files that end with this e.g. dot m OEF our effects. And when it comes to effects, these ones are this one. The first part. These are the effects. The next one is the generators. These are.mot n. So generators are found right here at the end. So these are for the generators. And the next one are the titles. These are the MOT. And the titles are basically these ones right here. And these ones are quite useful. The last one is.mot. And these ones are for transitions right here. So let's check out my folder. So my folder right here, The Final Cut Pro transitions is this one at DOD. Mot are so.mot are our transitions right here. So these ones will go on the transitions folder. And for this, I can just look for my folder, which is this one. And I'm going to drag it straight into the transitions folder. Here we go soon backwards transition. So now if I go back, here we go. Now we have our transitions right here. So I can just use it right here. And let's see how it looks like. Let's make this a little bit bigger, okay? And let's play it. Okay, So this one is like assume backwards. And let's try it on this side as well. Let's see how this one looks like. Yeah, this one looks pretty good. So this is how you install some third-party plug-ins. So whenever you go online, you will find the different files have different formats. So for that transitions, just remember that it's this one.mot and remember which folder they go to. So I recommend rather kind of like taking note of this, of the file types and which folders they go. And also remembering that in order to find this one, you'd have to go to your movies and then the motion templates folder. So this is where all of the effects folders are. So you basically just go inside the folder and then just drag and drop it inside. But remember to unzip the file. 33. MotionVFX: One of the websites that I really liked for finding some special effects or some plugins is this one motion VFX. So if you go over here to this website, you have the Final Cut Pro option. And here you can download some plugins and some templates. So if I click on Plugins, let's check it out. You get a lot of plugins and some of them are from very big YouTubers. So e.g. if we select this one from MK PhD and we go down, you can see some of the things that he offers, e.g. you can get some of his intros, some of these special features, some of the tools and effects, some calls to action like the subscribe button or this one that also has his image. And you also have e.g. some titles, some lower thirds, some backgrounds. But for some of them, you actually have to pay for this one. If you click on By now, you can buy it for $99 for Final Cut Pro. But some of them are also free. So if I go over here to the other options and I can select this one free end demo. So I click on it. So here we have a few of the free ones. So e.g. you can download an adjustment layer or kind of like the matrix effects the social media icon spec. So e.g. this one, I can select this one, D multiverse. So I can click on it, and I can click on this one, get it for free. Let's see what things there are. So there's some type of animations, while this would very nice. Okay, let's click on get it for free. And then this one go to cart. But for motion be effects, you actually need to sign up for it. And basically you click here and then you can sign in or continue with Facebook, Google or Apple. So I can select e.g. Facebook. And there we go. We now have, we're now logged in. And from here you can basically just click on Pay, accept the conditions. I can accept the conditions and click on Pay. And there you go. But once you click on Pay, you have to download an installer. So you can basically click here and download it. So it will send you over to this one and you can just click on get it for Mac. And you can just download it like a normal Mac application. And once you download it, it's going to be in your launchpad. And you can just click here M installer. So I'm going to click on it. And there we go. We now open the M installer. And from here we can just click on Install and then I'm going to click on, Okay, so from here we can just click on Install. Then I'm going to click on Continue and put my Mac password. So he's going to start downloading it first. And then it's going to ask us to close down Final Cut Pro. So I'm going to click on it and close it, then proceed and it will start installing it. And now it's installed. So if I open my Final Cut Pro once again, and then I go over here to the effects. I can find it right here. D M multiverse. And now we installed the special effects using motion be effects. So this one is one of my favorite websites for installing some special plugins. 34. Titles Effects: So now we're going to learn how to put titles into our video. So if you go up here, here we have your project library and all of the projects and all of the events. And if you select the second one, you a few more options, e.g. the photos, some Garage Band music, normal music, some sound effects. And if you select the third one, here we have both the titles and the generators. So now we're gonna go over to the title section. So I added some extra titles that I got online. But in this case, e.g. if you want a basic title, you can just look for one, e.g. the, let's see, text spacing. And then we can add it. And it will give you an, a title. You can select it. And over here you have some extra functions, e.g. the texts, the spacing, the speed, the duration of the fade, and all of these you can modify. And if you go over to the second one, you can also write something, e.g. I. Can write my name, Hugo, and you can change the font as well. E.g. I'm going to go for Soviet like this. You can type, you can select e.g. if you want it, bold, bold, italic, regular, or kind of like a book, you can change the size of your font, the alignment. Here you have a lot of other options for the font. If you want to move it, you can just grab it here and just move it around basically. So I'm gonna put it right here and here I can change the size, e.g. I. Can resize it and make it smaller. So this one will look like this. And, but there are some better effects than this one. E.g. I. Also got this ones online, which I really like e.g. let's go for this one. So this one looks like this. And you can also put your name in it. But there are some, there are some very good for social media. So this one, I really like this one. So I can put it right here. And it looks pretty small. So I'm going to select all of it. Then go over here and increase the size on the Skills section. Then I can Control Z. And in some cases you might need to get both to select both. Because if I select this one, I can only move this one. And this one, I will move just the YouTube one. So in some cases you have to select this one and then this one and try to get it in the center. Because you might move one but not the other one. So if you just move here, you just move the words. And if you move here, you move everything. So make sure that if you're moving something, tried to hold the center like this big circle. So I can put it Megan put it right here, e.g. and I can say, I can put e.g. my Instagram. And there's also the other option right here, which is the logo. And you can change the logo, e.g. two. Let's see the Instagram logo and it changes. So now when I play it, it comes up like this. And I can also make it shorter. Let's say e.g. right here, they will disappear. So I think it looks pretty good. It disappears almost at the same time as the transition. So let's check it out. And yeah, it looks pretty good. And at the end you can put one like this, e.g. the subscribe button, like and subscribe. 35. Downloading Lower Thirds: So now we're going to learn how to download and install some lower thirds. I like going to this website and it's a very long link. So I'm going to select a few of them, e.g. I. Like this one, my year title. So some of them are free and others are paid for. So I'm gonna go for this one which is free. And then I'm going to go back back again. And I also like this one. Let's go for the chain smokers add to cart. Download for free. And once again, I have to go back. And one more. Let's see. So the ones on the top are paid. And I think I'm gonna go for this one. I'm going to get three of them. So now I have to put my e-mail and I'm going to agree to the terms and conditions. And then I'm going to click on download for free. And the confirmation order will be on my email. So I found it right here, but it's on my junk email. So make sure if you don't find it in your inbox, it might be on your junk email, just like it happened to me. So now I can just look for this one and view your order. And there we go. We now have access to this one. So now I'm going to download the first one. Then with the second one, and download that third one. And here we go. Now we have our downloads. So I'm going to unzip them. I'm going to save the first 1 s and the third one. So now we have to go back to our movies. Then we go over to motion templates and we click this folder. And this ones are, I believe motif files, press command. So I can select multiple ones while I hold command. And then I'm gonna go to my motion templates. And these are titles. So I'm going to select them and drag them over to my image, to my titles. So now there have been dragged over right here, or you can just copy and paste them over. So now if I open my Final Cut Pro, we should have them right here, the chain smoker titles. So now I can check one out, e.g. let's try to type six. This one looks alright, I think. Let's see the other ones that also downloaded. So let's go to the letter R right here. The next one is the cinematic move. Gives you kind of like a cinematic style of moving. You can also increase the rotation. Let's see this one. Okay, this one is kind of like a cinematic style movement. The next one is the RN titles number two. So let's check this one out. This one my year title. So let's put it over here. My year 2020, let's change the year to 2022. You can also play around with these settings, e.g. you can change the fill color to something like Nanoblock. I'm going to leave it white with the brush color being the color of this one, this line, maybe blue, then maybe red. So let's see. Now that looks okay. So these things are very customizable and you can get so many good ones, e.g. like the ones I showed you before, which are kind of like this one. I think this one looks pretty good to me and this one looks way better. And so yes, all of these, you can find them online and some of them are free and some of them are paid for. 36. Generators Effects: So besides that titles, we also have the generators. So if we go all the way down here we have the generators option. And here we've got many different types. So e.g. you can try this one which looks like a beam. Let's cut. This one looks like a beam in the middle. You can also try e.g. some cloud effects. These ones are the ones that come with Final Cut Pro. Okay, This one, I think that we can make it a little bit less. And you can modify it right here on these settings, you can add more clouds or less clouds. You can basically modify it a little bit right here. But these ones are not so useful. The most useful ones in my opinion are the elements e.g. you can put like accounting, something that is counting and you can modify right here when it ends, when it starts. And you can modify a lot of the numbers right here. The other one I find useful are shapes. Sometimes I really use shapes. And you can also put a place holder right here. If you have a video that has nothing in it, you can put a place holder that right there. Then I can make I can continue it. So you can use this as a place holder. You can add a timecode. But the ones that I use the most are this one. The colors solids, e.g. you can add a solid color right here, which is just gives you like a blank square. And you can modify it from here, e.g. you can change the color, maybe blue. And this works really well. E.g. if you want to put like a solid right here, just like a blue background. And you also want to put some titles, e.g. if you add like 3D title right here. And you can put it right there. E.g. you can try like you want. If you want to introduce something, e.g. you can say Final Cut Pro. And let's go to it right there. You can introduce it and then you switch over to the next scene. There is something that you can also do, e.g. like this. Because a Final Cut Pro and then you started. There are many different types. But the most useful one in my opinion, is the cost of one. And if you try e.g. the pastel one, it gives you a few options. It gives you like lighter colors for like e.g. sky blue or a very light purple, red, light yellow. But the most useful one, in my opinion is the costume square. Something that you can also do is that you can put it at the end, e.g. right here. You have like a blank space in the bottom, in the back. You can also change the color, e.g. if you want like a brown color, you can also do it. So this is basically how the generators work. And on the next video, we will learn how to download them. 37. Downloading a Generator: Now we're going to download add generator. So I'm gonna go back to this website. And here we have the option for Final Cut Pro generators. And there's only two generators right here. One is $17.01 is free. So I'm going to check out this one that it's free. So I'm going to add it to cart. Then I'm going to click on Checkout and I'm going to put my e-mail and download for free. And once again, he was sent to my e-mail. So if you don't find that in your inbox folder, check your junk email because I received it, but I received it on the junk email folder. So I'm going to click on it and view your order and now I can download it. Okay, So here I have it, which is the YouTube subscribe button. So I'm going to open it, I'm going to unzip it. And here I have this folder. This folder is add generator is a.mot and file. So now we can just go over to our movies. And from the movies we click on motion templates and generators. So now I just go back and I grab this one and I'm going to drag it over to degenerate or as folder. So here we go, YouTube subscribe button. And now if I go back to Final Cut Pro, Here we go, we now have it right here on the generators tab. So now I can check it out and maybe I can put it over here or maybe over here. Let's see how it looks like. Let's try start in the beginning. It says subscribe. So this one looks very similar rather to the titles. I think this one looks pretty good. One thing that we can do here is that if we select this generator and then we go back here to the options, the generator inspector, we can add one picture. So e.g. if we click right here, it will tell us to to psych clip that will go inside these sown. And the zone is gonna be this gray area. So we have a picture of myself right here and I'm going to drop it here into the project. So I'm going to select my generator that I'm going to click here. And I'm going to select this image. And now I can click on apply clip. So what this does is that remember to put your red line in this generator so that you can see it. So now we have a picture of this picture inside the generator. So we can also scale it, e.g. we can make it bigger. And in my case, I have to make it a little bit smaller. And from here we can put the channel name, e.g. if you have a YouTube channel, my YouTube channel is called hue with a brainwash. You can also put it right here, add, you can increase the size and the baseline. Let's make it higher. And we can just play it around. I think it looks okay so far. 38. Event Project with all your Effects: Something that I like to do to better organize your effects and put them in different videos, is to create a new event. So for this, I'm gonna go over to my library, which is the Final Cut Pro course. And I'm going to create a new event. And this one I'm going to call effects. Then I'm going to click on, okay. And inside this event, I'm going to create a new project. And I'm going to call it my Effects. And then I'm going to click on, Okay, and then you can check if this is the kind of video that you want. In my case, I want these square video. But if you're doing effects, e.g. for TikTok or Instagram Reels, you might want to try the vertical one with the 1080 by 1920 resolution. But in my case I'm going to go for ten ADP. And then I'm going to click on Okay. And what I'm gonna do now is that I'm gonna go back to my other one. And let's look for my project, which was this one, the video project. And I'm going to select all of the effects that I want. I want this one. And I'm going to hold the command key in order to select multiple ones. So I want this one which is the lower thirds, that it has my Instagram account name. So I'm going to select it. I'm also going to select the music. Now not the music. I'm going to select the transition sound effects. Then I'm also going to select the last ones, which are basically these ones, the subscribe and the subscribe button. So I'm going to select all of these ones. I'm going to press Command C to copy. Then I'm going to go back to my Effects folder, my event, and then over to my Effects project. And now I'm simply just going to Control V to paste it. And here we go. We now have our effects. So whenever you do a new video, you can basically just copy it and copy the effects you want and you don't have to start and do them once again from zero. You can just copy and paste them from here into the new project. 39. Adjusting Speed, Slow motion: Now we will learn how to make the videos faster or slower. So here I have my project and I'm going to add a new video, which is going to be a bike ride. Let's put it over here. I'm going to put it after this one. And here we go. This is a bike ride that I did a few days ago. And I'm also going to move the music. I want to make the music longer. So let's check it out. It looks like this. So this one is the normal speed and I think it looks quite good. And if I select my video, and then I go over to this one, which is great right now. But you can click on it. You can find the speed options. So you can make your videos slower by 50%, 25%, 10%. Or you can make it faster, two times faster, four times, eight times or 20 times faster. And you can also make it normal speed. So in this case I'm going to go for fast and I'm going to make a double speed. So now my long video just became actually smaller. You became smaller by, by a half. And as you can see right here, it says fast by 200 per cent. And if you click on this one, you can still modify the settings, e.g. you can make it slower, faster, or normal back to normal like 100%. Or you can even select the custom speed, e.g. if I wanted 150 per cent faster, I can click on it and it's a little bit faster. Or maybe 200 per cent, which is have we had before. And I'm going to try this one at 200 per cent, which is two times faster. And let's see how it looks like. I think that looks pretty good actually. It looks very smooth too. I like how it looks. Definitely. However, if you make a cut, e.g. right here, you need to add the speed again because this one is gone. And this one remains at two times, but you do not have the speed bar anymore. So the whole video right here is gonna be 200. So if you want to call it e.g. right here, you can make a cut, but this one is going to be 200. So this one, you might have to select it. And then you can click on normal speed and it will go back to 100 per cent. So this one is gonna be two times faster and then 100% the normal speed. So I'm going to select this one once again. Then I'm going to go to my speed. And I'm going to go for custom speed in order to get this again. If you press costume speed, you have the line again. And I'm going to try maybe 300 per cent. Let's see how that's how that looks like. I think it looks pretty good. This looks quite nice. Let's see, maybe 400 per cent. Let's go for a costume for 100. And let's check it out. I think it looks pretty good, definitely. Let's make it bigger. Yeah, it looks pretty good. It looks pretty smooth too. Well, mostly because my camera, and now it's back to normal, back to the 100% speed. So this is basically how you play around with this. So if you want to make it e.g. slower, you can just click here and then click on slow. But I personally like to go rather to the costume, because if I click on slow by 50 per cent, it actually just makes it much, much slower. If I click on slow by 10%, it looks even slower. So I personally like to click on the custom one. And remember that 100 per cent is the normal speed. Here, it's back to normal. And if you want it slower, you can go under 100%, faster over 100%, e.g. if I try 1,000 per cent, let's see how it looks like. Definitely very fast, not so nice section. And then back to normal speed. So this is how you add speed or you make it faster or slower. 40. Speed Ramps: So now we will learn how to use speed ramps. So here I have a video and it said the normal speed. And e.g. if I select my video and then I click here to where it says blade speed, I can make one cut. So now we have two different speeds. So this one I can select e.g. I. Wanted 150 per cent. Okay. We have right here is that it gave us a speed ramp. So it's gonna go from fast and it will slowly become back to normal. So this one will look like this. So let's see, it's fast. It's 150, and then it will slowly becomes slower. So now you can see it, but it's very smooth. E.g. if I make it, let's see, 200 per cent is going to be a little bit more easy to see. So it's 200 per cent, it's quite fast and then it will slow down a little bit. But it's a very smooth slow down. E.g. if I don't have this speed ramps and I just make a cut right here. And I make this one, the 200 per cent. It's going to look very abrupt the moment it changes. So it's very fast, very fast. And then you just stops. It's going there. It's going very fast, very fast. And then suddenly there's a cut. This is very evident, e.g. if you have it at like 300% is very fast and then stop. But if you have a speed ramp, it's not going to be the same. But for us speed ramp to work, both of them need to be the same video. So I'm going to select this one. Then I'm gonna go back to the custom normal 100. Okay, so now we have the same video once again. And I'm going to put it right here. Yes, I'm going to select the right here. And in this case I think I'm gonna have to make them into one soy, make it into a compound clip. And then I can click on blade speed. So now I'm going to make, and now I can move this red line. One D Select button. And let's see how it looks like. Now it's giving us the speed ramp. So I'm going to make this one Let's see. I'm going to make it quite fast. Let's go for a costume of 400. Now if you look at it, it's very fast, very fast, and it will slowly transition to normal, is not going to be an abrupt change. And if you want, you can also make this speed ramps a little bit longer. E.g. if I go here on the left side, it will start to slow down. And on the green side is already the most slow version. So let's see now that I made my speed ramp a little bit faster, it's very fast and it will slowly, slowly slow down and looks quite, quite good right here. It looks very smooth. Okay, let's make this one slower. And let's see how this one looks. It's gonna go from fast To a little bit slower and slower. So in this case, it's nice to kind of move around with the speed ramps so that it looks a little bit more smooth. So it goes from fast, fast and slows down. How about like this one? It goes fast and it will slowly start to slow down. So I think that looks pretty good. So this is how you use the speed ramps. So you select one clip and then click on this one that shift B. Or you can click on the blade speed. And then you can play around with the speed ramps. Again selected. Then speed ramp, then from zero per cent. So in this case is going to start very slow. We'll just start to go faster all the way until it reaches the 100-percent. So there's something that you can do right here is going to start at zero, very, very slowly, and it will just go up and up all the way to 100%. Or if you change this one, e.g. you can make it a 200 per cent. And you will start to notice the speed RAM go from 62. And once it touches the speed ramp is going to go much faster. Now it says 200% speed. So you can play around with the speed ramps as well. You can just click this one and at a speed ramp, or you can just played the speed and select it how you want it to be. 41. Keyframes: Now we're going to learn how to use keyframes. So here I have a video and I want to give it a nice effect. And the way keyframes work is that you can start your video in one position and then you can use keyframes to modify them and make your video and in a different position. So I'm gonna give you two examples. So here I have this video and I'm going to select my video. And I'm going to place my red line where I want the video to begin with the keyframes. Now I'm gonna go over to the transform option. And I'm going to select this one which is the rotation, and I'm going to click this. So if you look on the right side, you have some triangles. And this is the place where you can add a keyframe. So if you press right here, you will add a keyframe. So now I'm going to rotate it, let's say e.g. that by 20 degrees. Okay, I'm going to rotate my picture. And now my picture is going to be rotated. And the place where it ends, which is this one. I'm gonna go back here and I'm going to keyframe it. And I'm going to select 0%. So now the end has a keyframe of zero per cent and the beginning has a keyframe rotation of 20 per cent. So if I play my video, it will start rotating and it will get back to normal. So this is how keyframes work. And e.g. I. Can also make it like ten. And I can also scale it. So everything that I'm doing is going to be on this side. All of the keyframes. I want to be on the, on this side in the place where I have my marker. So e.g. I. Can scale it a little bit. And when it ends, it's going to change the rotation. And once I'm here, I can also on scale it, e.g. I. Can add some keyframes here. And I'm going to select 100% on all of them. So I'm going to assume in the moment I'm back here, I want this to change to 100 per cent. So now if I play it, it's going to rotate and it's also going to assume it out. So I think that looks pretty good. Another example that I want to give is with this video. So on this video, I have a bird. It's a little bit hard to see, but he's basically right here. Here I have a bird image. So I want to place my bird right here in the corner. So I'm going to move my red marker and I'm going to start right here. And the first thing I wanna do is that I want to put a key frame on the position. So it's going to start exactly at this position. And I'm also going to add a keyframe for the size of my bird. And then I'm going to move it over to the end. And on this side, I want to put a keyframe once again for the position and a keyframe for the size. And now if I move my bird, you can see that there's a line right here. So I can move my bird outside of the video. And it will basically move from where it starts, which is right here. And it will follow this pattern and end on the top. So let's see the video. Okay? Oh, and one thing that I need to add as well is that I also want the scale. I won my bird to become smaller. So let's find my bird again. And the size that I want is gonna be kind of like this size. And then I'm going to get it out of my view. I'm going to put it on the top so it goes out of the video. So now my bird is going to go from big and it will slowly becomes smaller, and it will go out of the video. So let's play it again. That looks okay. So this is basically how keyframes work. You can start your video in one position and then you can ended in another position. So you can make it even bigger. You can make it smaller, you can rotate it, or you can just move it around. Let's try a different thing now. So I'm going to select my video once again, and I'm going to remove everything, the scale Zoom and the rotation as well. And now what I wanna do is that I want to put a keyframe on the top and on the bottom. So I'm going to start it right here. And I want to start e.g. or this is not too good. Okay. So I'm going to start Let's see, Let's go up. Maybe right here and the bottom, Let's also crop it right here. Okay, I'm going to put them both at the same one. So I'm gonna go for 330 for the top and 334 the bottom. Okay, let's actually remove this effect because you might actually come up with this problem where the effect is blocking what you can see. So let's remove the effect and let's start from this area. I think it looks very small. And now I want to end it at normal. So I'm going to put two keyframes and then I'm going to just close them. And okay, so now it will give you the effect of opening and closing. So like this. Now you get this kind of effect and something else. If you want to change the keyframes, e.g. right here, you start a keyframe and then you end the keyframe in the middle. You can also modify it right now. So the keyframes are gonna be remembered. So if I can, I can move this one and I can make it kind of like a circular motion. So it will always end in the place where you put your keyframe. And it will start where you start your keyframe. If I try it like this, you will make like a circular motion. So this is basically how keyframes work. And you can use them to create kind of like your own type of effects. 42. Face Tracking Effect: Now we're going to do a face tracking effect by using the keyframes. So here I have a video. Let's make it bigger. On this video, my face moves a little bit, so I want to make a face tracking effect on it. So the way you do it is that I'm going to add a title. So for that I can press Control T. And I get this thing which is the basic title. And I'm going to make it the same size as my whole video. And right here I'm going to change the name for I'm just going to write an x. And this x, I want to make it red. So I'm going to change the face color to red. Okay? And now I want to click on this one, which is the movement key. I want to place it right in the middle, right in the middle between my eyes, then I can click on Done. And now I'm going to select my video and I'm going to scale it. I'm just going to make it a little bit bigger. I think that's okay. And now what I wanna do is that on this part where we have the position, I'm going to start with a keyframe. And now I'm just going to move my line every two keyframes. So I'm going to press the arrow key to the right two times. And now I can actually just move my face right here. And every time you move is going to automatically add a keyframe for you. So I'm going to move toward times, maybe three, Let's see, move a few more times. This one is moving. So now I'm going to move it again. Try to keep it in the center. Then a few more than center again. 1 234-567-8910. So this one is still okay here. I have to move it a little bit. Then I'm just going to move it a few more times. So I'm just gonna keep on moving it as a move my video. Okay, I think that should be okay right there. And now let's see how it looks like. If I go back and then I press on play, you will see that the camera is kind of following my face. It's actually tracking it. So you can see it right here. It looks pretty good. Now, I can actually remove this x, so I'm going to click on v to hide it. Let's see how it looks like without the x. So you see, it looks like my camera is following my face wherever my face moves. I think that looks pretty good too. So make sure you kind of like remove this black stuff. So for that you need to scale sometimes. Yeah, perfect. So that's how you can make like a face tracking movement. 43. Audio Keyframes: Keyframes are not only for videos, you can also use them on the audio. So here I have a song on my video, and if I want the sum to end and not n, so abruptly like this, e.g. like this one. You can actually go over here to where there is like a small line and you can move this line. So what this does is that it makes the curve and then the song ends. So it will sound like this. So it kind of like slowly fades away. But there is another way to do it where you can modify how you want your sound to be like. And that way is by adding keyframes. So if we move our line or marker line all the way to the beginning, we can select our audio. And here we have the volumes section, and here we have the keyframe option. So you can click on this one, add a keyframe, and then you can start to move it. So it's going to start at the normal level. And I can just move it around maybe right here. And I can make it lower, e.g. let's say ten per cent lower minus ten, then I can make it right here. Let's go a little bit further. And this one, I can make it e.g. negative 20. And maybe right here I can make it negative 30. And then right at the end, I can just remove all of the volume. So if you see right here, it basically makes a curve where it starts at a normal volume and then it will slowly fade away. So let's see how this one sounds like. It's normal. And then slowly, you cannot hear. It. Slowly starts to disappear. If you want, you can actually make it higher, e.g. here I have negative 20 and you can make it higher. You can do it manually. Or you can just put your red line right here and then select it. Then manually say it e.g. and then manually put whatever number you want, e.g. -15 -15. Or you can even make it louder, e.g. you can make it go back to zero to the normal volume. Goes up, down, up, then down, and then it slowly fades away. So I think there's another effect that you will find useful. So we can basically play around with your music and make it go higher than lower, make it fade away. So with this, you can customize how you want your music to sound light. So if you want the volume on some parts to be louder and then other parts to be lower. You can do it this way. 44. Stabilizing: So now we're going to use these stabilization feature in Final Cut Pro. So here I have two different videos. The first one is a video of some fruits on a tree. And it looks a little bit shaky, not so much, but it's noticeable. The next one is a video that I took by myself with a camera. And it might look a little bit shaky to, but also not so much. And let's actually add a third one. So this one is a video that I took a long time ago in China. So this one does look a little bit shaky. So let's try it with these three videos. So what we're gonna do is that we're going to select our video. And then we go over here to the inspector and we go all the way down to stabilization. And then we click on it. And when we click on it, it might take a little bit of time because it's going to transcode and give it an analysis. But once it's finished, you can add destabilization. And by default it crops into your image. So he's not going to be the same actual full size. It's going to crop it a little bit. If I look at this one, it looks a little bit more smooth. And let's add it to this one as well. So I'm going to select it and then click on stabilization. And let's look into this one. So this one also looks very smooth. It looks much smoother than before. And the third one, let's set it to this one. Let's click on this one and let's look at it. So this one still looks a little bit shaky, but not as much as without it. So let's see if I remove these stabilization and we look at it once again. So this one definitely looks a little bit more shaky like this. And if I turn it on, it kind of helps, but it's not super, super good, but it helps a little bit. So you can use the stabilization feature for small things. So in this case I'm going to select this one and I'm actually going to increase maybe the translation smoothness, the rotation smoothness, and the scaling. So let's see if it makes a difference. It looks a little bit better. So for these ones you have to play around with like the smoothness and the translation smoothness and maybe the scaling smoothness. So in some cases you have to play around with the features. And you can also change the method, e.g. from automatic to smooth cam method. You will notice like a slight difference. So this one is the smooth cam method. And if I turn it off, it's look, it looks much more shaking. And with it, it fixes it a little bit. So for this feature, you can fix some of your footage, but just make sure that it's not so, so unstable. But it works really well for small things. If it's, your camera is a little shaky, this will help you for it. 45. Adding Text and Subtitles: So now we're going to add text into our video. So to add text, it can be a little confusing in the beginning. So make sure you pay attention to this. Because if you look for that text inside e.g. the file or the edit or the trim, or on these ones, it's a little bit hard to find. I cannot still find it. And I still cannot find it. And the way you add text is that you press the Control key, then the T. So that's basically how you add text control than t. And this one will bring the basic title. And the issue with this is that if you want a title like this one just as simple, basic title, it's hard to find on the title section. There's no basic title here. There's just like title with 3D fading titles, some titles with effects. So just remember that function, remember that keyboard function Control T. So here we have a basic title, which is this one. And from here we can modify it so we can select it. Then we go over to this one, which is the second option. And we can type something, e.g. in this video, I say. So now we're going to make, so now we're going to make. And in this case I can just modify it so I can say, so now that I can give it a space. And in this case, whenever you make a space, it's going to capitalize it. So make sure you press the X or the escape key. Make, so this is what I want to say. So now we're going to make, in the next one, I will type something after. So now I'm just going to make a cut right here because I just want this text and then I will fix the other ones later. So for this one, I can just select it. And I'm going to change the font, e.g. here we have a big list of different types of fonts. So I'm gonna go for, Let's go for this one, aerial Unicode MS. And the next part you can see that it's a little bit white, so you cannot see it very well because my sweater is also white. So for that we can go over to the face option and we can change the color, e.g. if you wanted to read, you can click adhere or black, brown, blue, any of these colors. But in my case, I'm going to leave it white. Then I'm going to close this. And I'm gonna go over to the outline section and turn it on. Then I click on Show and I can select an outline color. So for this one, I'm going to go for black. And my text is a little bit more noticeable, but it's not so noticeable yet. So for that, I go to the outline and then I increase the width. So you can see how it starts to come up a little bit better. So if I give it too much, it looks very dark, and if I give it too little, it's hard to see. So you're going to have to find a point where it's easy to see like this one, e.g. 6.0. And you can add some blurry if you want, but I'm not going to add this one. So I think this one looks much better now and we can just move it around. So let's see how this one looks. I think this one looks pretty good. The next one is basically how we started the title. So I'm going to click on Backspace to delete it. Another thing that you can do is e.g. you can select some parts. So if I'm going to select this one gonna make, I can go over to the phase section and I can change the color, e.g. to orange or yellow. I think yellow looks pretty nice. So this, this kind of text looks a little bit like the people making videos on TikTok or the Instagram videos from some big content creators. So I like this type of texts. I like how this one looks. So now we're going to make for the next one. I think I can just copy and then I can paste it and I can just make it bigger. And from here I can just start modifying it. So I just made some foods so I can e.g. cut it and I can change the text of this one. So this one is a Korean dish, and I hope I get this correct. Okay, there you go. Dan John giga, which is the name of the food that I'm cooking. So for this one, I can also select this one and I can change the color to yellow. Let's go for yellow. And I think it looks pretty good. Now we're going to make and I know these texts, you can make it into different types, e.g. if I go back to my videos, my projects, e.g. let's go to this one. I can also add some text here, so I can go for control than the letter T and we get the basic title. And from here we can modify it. So I can say e.g. Sydney. Then I can give it some outline. I'm going to turn it on and I'm going to make it black once again. And once again, I'm going to increase the width of my blur, of my outline. And from here I can make the size bigger. Okay? I think it looks pretty good. And you can play around with the functions right here. E.g. if you don't want this one, you can make it lighter or oblique. Well regular. And let's see how this one looks. Oregon started like I can cut it here and I can start like this, and then it comes up. So do is basically how you add texts. 46. Text with background: So here we have our text that we created before. And we can also add some background to this text. And the way to add a background is very simple. You basically just go over to your generators. And from there you go two solids. And you can add a costumes solid. And from here we can select this solid. And we're gonna go over to crop and then trim. And from here we can just drag this down, drag the lines down. And this one is a little bit hard to get. So I'm going to make it at 25%. I can go, I can move it up again. And then I'm gonna go back to fit. So I can, I can select, so I can make it like this. And then this one, I'm going to make it a little bit smaller. And I'm going to move this side's too. And so I think that looks pretty good. Then I can click on Done. And from here you can change the color, e.g. if we selected, we can change the color to maybe something white, something purple. Or we can select one of these ones, which gives you a more unique color. So for this one I can go for, or one of these ones. So I'm going to go for this one, the silver color, or maybe something darker. Let's select it again. Then I have to click here, then here again. And I'm going to go for, I think I'm just going to go for the plain black. Okay, let's try this spectrum colors. I'm actually not liking any of these ones. So I'm just going to close it. And I'm just going to turn this off and I'm going to go for a pastel color. I think these ones look a little bit more, even better in my opinion. So let's crop it again. And something like this and the color. Let's go for peach or green. I think the sky blue might be a good one. Yeah, the sky blue looks pretty good. And then I can click on Done. So in some cases you have to make some cuts. E.g. if you're in this one, you can make a cut here. Then you can select this one once again, e.g. for this one. Then you make another cut. And then you crop again. And you make this one smaller. Then I can click on Done. So let's see how this one looks. So in this case, I liked this one because you can keep the big one for things that have two titles, one of the top and one on the bottom. And you can keep the second one for things that have just 11 line. So if you start to make more, you can just use the same ones that you have. So in my case, I'm just going to select these two. I'm going to copy them. And I'm gonna go over to my collections, to my effects, to the project that we created before. And I'm just going to paste them there. So if I ever need them, I can just grab them again and use them again. So this is how you add a background to your texts. 47. Make Text as Subtitles: So now we're going to make your text into subtitles. So one of the problems with Final Cut Pro is that if you want to add some subtitles, some captions, you can go over to Edit. And then you go over here to captions. And then you can click on add caption. But the problem is that they don't look too good in my opinion. They look e.g. if I select this one that I just wrote, then I can copy. And then I'm going to paste it on the final Cut Pro subtitles, which is this line over here, the captions. And then I can hide this one. They basically look like this. They look like black lines. I don't like the way these ones look because they look a little bit old. So in this case, what I like to do is that I like to use the ones from the basic title function. So this one, I'm just going to delete it. I think I can select it then Backspace. And if you want to create them, you can basically just type the Control T. And here we go, you have the basic title. And from here you can start to modify it. E.g. I. Can cut it at this part and I can type whatever I want. So e.g. hello. And you can change the size, you can add some face color, you can add the outline color. This one is pretty simple. You know how to modify them, you learned in a previous lesson how to create them. So in this case, what I like to do is that I like to put them as subtitles. So e.g. here I say, so now I'm going to make degenerate GJ. And this one, what do I say? Which is one of my favorite, which is one of my favorite. Here. I can just cut it and I can start to type it myself. So I'm going to say, which I'm going to press the Escape key because I don't want it. Capitalist is one of. And then once they press Enter, and then n-type is going to want to capitalize it so I can press the Escape key. So this is gonna be like a common problem a lot of times. One of my favorite, Let's see this one, which is one of my favorite soups. And here I say Korean soups, so I can select it and I can just type Korean soups. And this one, Korean soups, I want it to be yellow. So I'm gonna go over to the face color and select the yellow color. I think it looks pretty good now. So now we're going to make them gems again, which is one of my favorite Korean soups. So let's go for it. So let's go for it. And this one, I also have to write something. So I'm just going to copy this one and paste it. And then make a cut right here, right in the middle. So let's go for it. Once again, I have to change the capitalize and I also want to change these. So this one, I'm just going to select it and change the face color to white. Okay. Korean soups. Let's go for it. I think that looks pretty good. However, one thing about this is that if you want to post your videos on Instagram or Facebook or TikTok, you might have some information here that are going to block the subtitles, e.g. here you might have your username. Then you might have the description or what you wrote about it, maybe your hashtags. And on the right side you might have the light button, the comments section, the share section. So in some cases, if you have a lot of words right here, something that you typed in the description, people are not going to see the subtitles. So you might want to click on the subtitles. Then you might want to erase them up a little bit. E.g. I think these ones are gonna be better because all of the Instagram information and TikTok information is going to be right here. So a so I'm just going to erase them a little bit higher. And I did it for the first one. But if I go over to the second one and the third one, they're actually quite low. So what I'd like to do is that I'm going to select it. Then I'm going to press on command C to copy. Then I'm going to select the other ones. And now I'm going to press the command key once again to select multiple ones. So I'm going to hold it and select them. So now I have four. And then I'm gonna go over to paste attributes. And I'm going to want this one, the transform and only the position. And then I can click on Paste. So now the position attributes of this one, which is higher, has also been applied to the other ones. So in this case, you don't have to manually raise them up one by one. You can just copy the attributes and then paste them to the other ones. So that's basically how you add subtitles manually by using the text function. 48. Installing Fonts: So I was looking at this project and there is one thing that I don't like, which is the font on this one. So I want to add a font, but I want to get it from a third party or want to install a font. So for this, we can go over to our Internet browser. And I'm gonna go to this website, fonts dot google. So basically Google Fonts. And here there is a lot of different fonts that you can download. So I think I'm going to download this one. I think this one looks pretty good. Albert to Aporeto and this one. So I'm going to select it and I'm just going to click on this one. Download the family. And we have now downloaded it. And I'm going to try a different one too. So I'm going to look through the different funds that they have and see if there is one that I like. I think I'm gonna go for this one, inspiration, but it's a little bit hard to see. But I'm interested in seeing how it looks like. So I'm going to get this one and download it. So now I have two different fonts. So now I can go over to Finder. And I have them right here on the Downloads folder, the Aporeto and the inspiration dot zip. So I'm going to unzip them, both of them. And the file that we actually want is gonna be this one, that.ttf. So now the way we install it in our computer is that we can click on command, then Spacebar. I don't the spotlight search. We're going to search for Font Book. So I'm going to select this one. And here we have all of our fonts. And we have the, we have all the fonts with the computer. And we also have the ones from the user. So now I'm going to go to my user and I'm going to add this one. I can click on Add. And then I will have to look for my font. Here we go. We now have the downloaded folders and we want to select this one, that.ttf. So I'm going to select one. And then I'm going to press and hold the Command key. And I'm going to select the other one. So we now have both selected. And then we can click on Open. Then we wait for the fonts to be validated. And let's see if they are here. Inspiration is here, and Aporeto is right here, the first one. Now let's see if we go back to Final Cut Pro. And then we go over to the font. Let's go for the very top one. Is Aporeto right here. No, it's not. So in this case, I'm going to close Final Cut Pro. And then I'm going to reopen the Final Cut Pro. Okay? And I'm going to try again, I'm going to select it. Then I'm gonna go over here. And here we go. We now have the Aporeto font. And let's see how this one looks like. It looks interesting. And let's see the other one. What was the name? Inspiration font. So we can select it and let's see how it looks like. Inspiration, it's this one. And I think it looks quite nice. Let's make it a little bit bigger. And let's see. I think it looks quite nice. So that's how you add funds from the Internet over to Final Cut Pro. 49. Adding Emojis and Symbols: And you can also add some images and symbols. E.g. here I have the word Sydney. And if I select it and I go over here to my text, we can add emojis and symbols by going over to the edit tab. And then we go over to this one, the very bottom one, emoji and symbols. Here we will get a list of images, e.g. you can put a Smiley face. And one thing to notice is that this emoji has an outline. So we can also remove the outline on the emoji. How about the face color? Okay, let's leave the phase one to, I think it looks pretty good. If you don't like this one, let's try a different one. Something else that you can do is that you can also remember this code. Then you can press the globe key and the letter E. So let's write that way. Globe and E. And there we go, we have it now. So the one I want to look for is, let's see if there are some flags. Okay, Yeah, there are some flux right here. And let's see if I can find the Australian flag. And e.g. I. Can select my emoji and I can also make it smaller. So here I select Sydney and I can make it smaller or bigger. And if I select the flag, Let's see. I can make it bigger, only the flag or smaller. I think this is a good size. And maybe I think that looks pretty good. So this is basically how you add emojis and symbols. And we can, we can add a few more. Let's see, globe key and E. Let's see what else they have. They have some animals and there we go. There's a kangaroo as well, so we can add it to. And then I think I can select it and I want to remove the outline on this one here. Or maybe I can leave the outline it looks better. In this case, I'm going to leave the outline. It looks better with it. And I'm going to put a space. So this is basically how you added and you can basically play around with them. There's a lot of different emojis, lots of different symbols like this one's e.g. if you want the trademark symbol, you can also find it right here. Or if you want any of these other less common symbols, you can find them on this area. So play around with the symbols and see which ones you like. 50. Adding Markers: So now we're going to add some markers. The way you add a marker is e.g. here I have some music and I can see the wavelength goes up and then down. So something that you can do, e.g. instead, you can put your marker in the upper part and then you can press the letter M. And here you will get a purple market. And if you double-click on it, you will have more options. So the purple marker is basically the normal standard marker and you can put, you can use them for anything, e.g. if you want to be very precise on where you want to cut, you can put it right there. So e.g. here I can make a cut. Let's see. So here it makes a clapping sound. And if I want, I can e.g. make a cut right here. And also remember to add the snapping tool right here that your market will go straight in the center. And e.g. I. Can make a cut right here. So now we're going to learn about adding markers. So the way you add a marker on Final Cut Pro is that you look for a place you want and then you press on the letter M. So e.g. here, if I select my clip and then I press the letter M, and we'll get a marker right here, a purple marker. And if I double tap on it, I get a list of options. So I can rename this market, e.g. I. Can say it's start transition or anything. Basically, the purple marker is basically the standard marker. So e.g. if I go down here to where I have my music file, I can actually put a marker right here as well. E.g. if I press the letter M and then I press m2 times, I can write something e.g. I can say clap sound. And this way I know that this is the place where it's going to make a clap sound, e.g. this can be very useful if you're making a video and you want to time your video cuts at the same time when there is a change in the audio, e.g. if it makes a clap, you can actually cut it. You can you can put a marker and you know where to cut so that the moment it claps, you switch over to a different scene, a different video. So this is basically called the standard markers work. And if you double-click on it, you also have another option, which is that to do marker. So the one in the middle is that to-do option. So for this one, you can put things to remind yourself, e.g. you can say fix this audio and then you can click on Done. You will notice that here's a red marker and if you click on it, you will have all of the information. And you can also do this, e.g. if you're collaborating with other people, you can use this one to give them instructions on what to do or things that they should pay attention to. And once you have completed the task, you can click right here on completed. And it will switch from red to green, which means that it is now completed. Another thing that you can do, e.g. let's put a marker in the beginning. And here I have my purple marker. And let's double-click on it. You can also select this one, which is the chapter marker. So chapters can be very useful if you want to make divisions on your video, e.g. you can say, Okay, this area is going to be the skyline view. Then you can click on Done. And the moment you move it, it will disappear. But if you click on it, you will have it right here. And you can also make a new chapter, e.g. right here. Then you press it again. And this one is going to be the tunnel view. And from here I can just select this one and pass it over to this one. And let's say this one is gonna be the the city bicycle view. And you can also put it right here. So this way the chapters work as a way of reminding you kind of like one topic begins and when that topic ends and once another topic begins. So this is mostly just to help you organize your, your videos. But in my opinion, the most important one is just the m, the normal marker. 51. Timing your Video to the Music: So now we're going to time our video to the music. This means that if you look at this song right here, it has a clapping sound. Let's see. So whenever it makes the clapping sound, we want it to switch to a different video. So to do this, it is actually very simple. So the first thing I wanna do first is to remove the audio from all of my clips. So I'm going to select all of them are the ones that have no audio. So if you select all of them that have audio, you can move it around. But if you select all of them and one of them, e.g. my first one doesn't have audio, is not going to allow you. So you basically have to select the ones that have audio. And there you go. Now, not all my clips have audio and took time. It, It's very simple. You just need to use the markers. So the first thing I wanna do is that I want to put my red line right here and I'm going to select the music, and then I'm going to press the letter M. So here you go. Here it has the clip. And the next one, I'm going to put it right here. Then I'm going to select the M Once again. Then I'm going to scroll a little bit on this one. I'm going to put it, Let's see. I'm going to put it on this one. Letter M. Okay, let's just move this one down a little bit. 0, k. And this one, I'm going to put it right here. Remember to select your music and letter M. This one is going to be right here, m. So now we have marked all of the points where we want to make a cut. So we time them perfectly with the music. So now I'm just going to go to my videos and I made them quite short. So now I'm going to select this one and I'm going to make a cut right here, e.g. you can press Command B and delete. The next one. I'm going to move right here, command V. And delete. The next one right here, command V, delete this one, Command B. And I like to use a shortcut. Oh, here's another one that I missed, which is around right here. I'm going to put the m. And this one, I like to use this shortcut, the option, and then the bracket. And I actually made a short key so that I only click on the bracket and it will just call it for me. It will cut whatever is on the right side. So for me it is much easier with these kind of shortcuts. So I'm just going to do them like this, like this one. But if you don't have the shortcut, you can check out my other lesson where I talk about key shortcuts and code right here. And for the last one, I just wanted black. So I can just add a custom generator and I'll just leave it black and this one. So now let's see how this looks like. Okay, that looks okay. So that's basically how you turn your videos with the music. And you can do a much better job than I'm doing. But it is basically the example I wanted to give you. 52. Color Coding your clips: Now we're going to learn how to color-code your clips. So I have some clips right here, and I want to make a difference between the videos that I shot on my Sony camera and the ones from the GoPro camera. So if I select e.g. my video right here, and then I go over to assign a video roll. I can select e.g. Edit Roles and I can create a new one. So I'm going to add a new one and I'm going to call this the Sony see V one camera. And then I'm going to click on apply. But if you notice nothing happened, and even if I selected and I right-click on it, and then I select this one assigned video row, Sony camera, still nothing happens. And the issue with this is that if you have a file and if you have a video and that video has audio, Final Cut Pro Gibbs priority to the audio. So if I e.g. go to audio roles on a select e.g. the green one is going to change it to green. But if I go to the video rolls and I select one, it doesn't work. The way to fix this is that you can select your video and then you can click on this one, detach audio. Now you have the audio separated from the video. So if you select the video and then you click on Assign video rolls, and then you select the Sony dV1. It now changes the color. And for this one, the audio, you can also add it. So for that you can go to assign audio roles and you can create a new one. E.g. I. Can call this one the Sony. See v one audio. Then I can click on Apply. And once I selected, I can select that one. And it will change the color. So now I will know that this one, these two are basically the same one, but that's the only downside from it. It's a little bit, in my view, a little bit complicated sometimes because you have to detach the audio and all of these things. So the way I actually like to do is that I like to select one and then just do everything with the audio roles. So e.g. if I make a new audio role, I can call this one the zone ID. See V1. And I'm going to, I'm going to remove these ones. I'm going to add another one. I'm going to call this one the GoPro. Am going to add another one. I'm just going to call this one the special effects. I already have the music. So I'm gonna click on Apply, then continue. So the way I like to deal with this is that I like to select my video and then just do everything from the audio rule. So if I go to the audio roles, I can add e.g. the Sony CB1. I can make a new one. I'm going to call this one the GoPro. Gopro nine. I'm going to add a new one called sound effects. And then I can click on a play. So this way I think it's a little bit easier if you do everything with the audio one. So if I select one, then I can click on audio roles. I can select my Sony TV one. This one is also the Sony TV one. This one is gonna be the GoPro. And this one is gonna be the GoPro again. And this one, I'm going to turn it on. This one is a special effect. So I'm going to call it a sound effect. So this way you're also adding some colors. So you know that these ones are the ones from that Sony camera, GoPro camera. You can see your sound and the special effects. So this way it works. But the downside to this is that if you detach the audio, it's gone. So you have to add it once again on the audio roles and start creating new audio roles for everything. But if you're not going to detach audio, I would consider doing it that way. But if you're going to detach audio, then you have to make both video roles and audio roles at the same time. And something that you can do, e.g. if you go back to the audio and the video roles, if you want them to be the same color. E.g. I. Go to the video roll and I call this one the Sony TV. One video. I can also change the color to this one. So if I go over here, I can make it the same color as this one. And I'm gonna make a new one. Let's try the GoPro nine video. This one is orange, but I can change the color to fit with this same one. So you can click on Apply. And if I detach the audio, then this one I can assign a video row, which is going to be the Sony TV one. So you can kinda see that they are the same color. So e.g. the GoPro, I detach the audio, then I can select this one and this one. So now they are both the same color. This one, Let's detach the audio and assign a video role to this color. So my recommendation is to go to the Edit Roles and try to make this once the video roles and the audio roles. And so my recommendation is to put them rather similar if you're going to be detaching video. So you know which beta belongs to, which. 53. Screen overlay Effect: So now we're going to use this screen overlay effect. So here I have a few clips, e.g. this one, this I clip that says cocktails and cold beer. And what I wanna do is that I want to put this clip also on this one. So I'm going to use the screen overlay effect, which is basically going to get rid of the dark part and it will make it look quite nice. So e.g. I. Select my video and then I go over to the inspector on the composting section. I'm going to change from normal over to screen. And now it gets rid of the black parts and it looks quite good. So from here I can just move it around e.g. over to this corner. And I'm gonna make it a little bit smaller. And let's see how this one looks like. I think it looks okay, let's try again. I think I'm also going to give it a crop because I can see a person passing by so I can get rid of it. And let's see how it looks like this. Let's see. It looks quite okay. I think another one you can do, e.g. here I have a few more. I have this one which is kind of like a hacker. It looks at him like a hacker like coding thing. So I'm going to make it a little bit bigger. And I'm going to select once again the screen overlay effect. And this one looks like this. Basically. It depends on this one. I don't think it fits my car ride view. But if you have a shot where you're sitting down on a computer, it might look quite nice. So let's see how this one looks. But I think this one looks good right here on the bicycle ride because it shows that there's something on the camera, like some information passing by and look at, let's see how the other one looks sales, we'll have this one, which is kinda like just coding. So let's put it right here and let's try this screen effect. So this one looks like, like this, like this basically, you can basically play around with the screen overlay effect. You can try to look for a clip that has something dark. And then try to look at one of your videos and try to match it with one of your videos. That kind of conveys the message a little bit better. 54. Slide in and out: So now we're going to use this slide in and out effect. So here I have one clip, external recording. And on this clip I want to kinda like make a change. So I'm going to add these pastel generator, such as external recordings. And here I'm going to write external recordings. So I'm going to select this one. Then I'm going to add a text which is Control T. And I'm going to code right here. And here I'm going to add external recordings. And I'm gonna make this one. I'm going to increase the, I'm going to make the outline color black and the face color. Let's try blue. Something like this, e.g. and then I'm going to make this a little bit bigger. Okay, it looks very simple, but let's just keep it like this, such as external recording. And in this case, now I want this one to appear with like a swash, kind of like a slight effect. So for this, I'm going to go over to my transitions right here. And I'm going to search for slide. And then I'm going to add this one into my generator. Let's see how this one looks like thermal recordings. Okay, so now I'm going to select the first part, which is the one on the left side. So I'm going to select up. And for the second one, I'm going to select down. So let's see how this looks like, such as external recordings. Now I was supposed to be the opposite way. So this one is going to be down and this one is going to be, let's see, such as external recordings. Now I think this one also I want it to go down. Let's see external recordings. Okay, That one looks pretty good. And now I want the same settings to be on this one. And now I'm just going to select the first one and it's going to be a slide. I'm going to put the same ones, slide down and slide in. Slide out. This one is going to be a slight out down. Let's see what this looks like, such as external recordings. Okay, I think that looks pretty good as external recordings. This one looks pretty good. And I can also add maybe e.g. a. Sound. So where are my sounds? I think I have them on D Effects project. And I'm going to select this one, the whoosh transition. Now I can go back to the project that I was working on. And I'm going to add this switch transition, two of them. And I'm actually going to lower the volume a little bit, maybe too. Okay. Let's see how this sounds like. Okay, it's way too loud. So this one is way too loud. So I'm going to make it a negative 30. Such as external recordings. Use something like this. If you have a better sound effect, then you can definitely use that sound effect. And then I'm going to add a second one maybe around here. Let's see, such as external recordings. And if you want to customize rather D font and all of these, then you can totally do it to make it look even better. So if you want to make that transition to a different kind of video while you're still talking. You can always use this slide transition, but you have to play a little bit with these settings because there might be a little bit confusing in the beginning. 55. Text Popups Effect: So now we're going to make the texts pop-up effect. So here I have a video and I say, we're going to make a change again. So now I'm going to make the agenda, which is a Korean soup. But I want to give it a special effect that is very popular with people on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok. So the way this works is that I'm going to cut every single word, e.g. now. Okay, So let's see. So then I'm going to make a cut right here. And I'm going to go to my, I'm going to select it. Then I'm going to go over to my cropping tool and I'm going to select the trim section. I'm just going to trim this one. And then I'm gonna go up and this one. Now. And then I'm going to make another cut right here, and I'm going to select it. And on the trim section, I'm just going to keep this one. So now and then I'm going to trim this other one on the top. Then I can click on Done. So now we're good. We are. So now I'm going to make another copy right here and go back to my trimming tool selected. And then I'm going to trim this one. So now we are, now we're going to make it go now. And then I'm going to crop this again, make a cut right here. And let's see, for this one I think I have to go up, which is only this one. Then I can click on Done. Then I'm actually going to make a copy of this one, command C and Command V again. And I'm going to select this one. And then I'm gonna go back to my cropping tool. And then I just want let's see, d. Well, I think I have to go up here. And let's fill it in. Ghana. And let's cut this one. Then done once again. Now we're going to make data. So now we're going to make the Genji Gail. Okay. And just one more code right here. And I'm going to select this one. And I'm going to trim it. And then I'm going to select this one. So now we're gonna make De Gen Z gate, which is basically how you give that effect. Another way that you can do it is that you can e.g. just copy this one. Then crop. And I'm going to select only the first one. Then I can click on Done. And I'm just going to start by clicking on command C, which then one more time, which in this one select this one. Corrupt is what? One of my yeah, it can be a little bit complicated in the beginning. You might take a little bit of time, but it's not so hard. One off. Then my favorite colon. And this one once again, oops, this one should be the cropping tool. And I'm just going to put everything. Let's see how this looks in which is one of my favorite Korean soups. Something that looks okay. So this is basically how you kind of give that effect. It might take a little bit of time. You might get annoyed by doing it, but it can have gifts that good, kinda like YouTube or Instagram or effects. 56. Adding highlight effect: So now we're going to add a highlight effect. So in order to create that highlight, I'm gonna go over to my generators and then I'm going to click on Custom. And I'm going to drag it down here. And I'm gonna make a cut right here. So for this one, I'm going to change the color over to yellow. Then I'm gonna go over to transform. And I'm going to make it smaller. So in this case, don't try to crop it, because if you crop it, you might end up with some problems. So for this feature, use the transform feature. So I'm going to use the transform, and right here I'm going to put it over this ones. Now. I'm going to select my square, my yellow square that I created. And I'm gonna go over to compose thing. And then I'm going to select this one darken. So now it kind of gives it a nice highlight effect. And I'm going to fix it a little bit. And I think this looks pretty good right here. And so yeah, this looks very well highlighted. I'm going to make it a little bit bigger. And the next thing I wanna do is that I want to add this one, which is the Wipe transition. So you go over to your transitions then blue for this one wipe. And I'm going to put it on top of this. And now whenever I press Start, is going to look like this. It's gonna, it's gonna create a transition and this one is going to remove it at the end. So this one, I think I can delete it. And this one, I'm going to make it a little bit longer. So let's see how it works. And then a little bit longer just so it looks a little bit slower. Okay. I think that looks good. Maybe a little bit even slower. Okay, that looks pretty slow. And now I'm going to select both the one on the top and the one on the bottom. And then I'm going to right-click. And I'm going to click on this one new compound clip. And I'm going to create a new compound. And I do this because in the beginning is going to be very slow so you don't see it. So I want to call it exactly to the part where it starts to highlight, which is around right here. And here I can make a cut. And this looks pretty good right here. And you can also add some sound effects. So if here, if I go over to Epidemic sound, I can download maybe this one, the marker white cardboard or maybe the cardboard whites seven, six. Okay, number five. The cardboard white five. And I'm going to download it. And then I'm gonna put it over into Final Cut Pro. Let's see how this looks. Now, this is not so good. Maybe I can make it longer. Okay, maybe I can make it slower. Even slower. Let's check this out. Okay, this sounds pretty good. This is basically how you add the highlight effect. And for the second one, you can also do the same thing. So I basically add a custom title. I'm going to make it the same size. I'm going to change the color over to yellow. I'm going to use the transform tool. Remember not the crop tool? Because if I use the crop tool e.g. right here and I crop it, then I click on Transform and I tried to move it around. It's going to give this the weird distortion. So don't try to use the crop tool. Instead, use the transform tool. So I'm going to transform it and again, select anything right here. E.g. I'm going to make this a little bit smaller. E.g. I. Might be doing a PowerPoint and I want people to see the highlighted area. So I can start with like number five, make it a little bit bigger. And now I can click on this one, composting, and I'm going to select darken. And this one looks pretty good. And e.g. I. Can make a cut right here. And the second one, I can just move it around, drag it down, and then hold the Shift key so that it doesn't move to the sides. And I can put the other one right here. Or something else that you can do is that you can select this one, the original one. And you can just use the position, the transform position. And you can just move it down a little bit so that it's more accurate. And this one, I think that looks pretty good. And if you want people to see the other one, you can also select it, copy, make a cut, and then adjust the transition once again. So from here it will go like this. One, then two, then three. So this is another way that you can do it if you want. You can also add the wipe transform. So this one will look like, Let's check it out. Let's delete the second one. It will look like this timing video to the music. Let's add it to the second one to call recording your Eclipse. And let's add it to the third one. Let's see one more time. Timing of music. Okay, that looks pretty good. So that's basically how you add highlights and how you can also animate the highlights. 57. Using Photoshop Files on Final Cut Pro: So now we're going to use some Photoshop files on Final Cut Pro. So here I have this file that I made on photo P, which is very similar to Photoshop. So now I'm just going to click on File and then I'm going to save it as a PSD file. And then I'm going to click on Save. So now if I go back to Final Cut Pro, I can actually look for my file which is over here. And I can just drag it inside. Here we go. We now have our Photoshop file. And something that you can do is that you can double-click on it. And you can see all of the layers right here. So you can also do this too. However, it might not be very accurate, like exactly accurate as it is on Photoshop. E.g. this one, I think it's missing a little bit of the outline of the dark outline. And in this case, I think that's something important that I like. And if I go over to the inspector, It seems that I cannot add an outline. So this is just so you know, you can also add Photoshop files. But if you want to add some text, it could be a little bit more complicated. And the reason for this is because even if you write some text for the P might take it as a picture, not as an actual text. But if you delete these ones, you have the photo, which is the same photo as I had in Photoshop, the background photo. There is something also to take into account if you have an Adobe Photoshop file that you also want to put into Final Cut Pro. You can definitely do that. 58. Adding a Green Screen: So now we're going to learn how to use a green screen in Final Cut Pro. So when my video, I have a green screen. And the way you add a green screen is that you go over to your effects and you look for KIA. So it's called the ikea effect. So it's gonna be this one. And then you can just drag it into your video. And what it's going to do is that it's going to blur your background. But basically anything that is green, it will get rid of it. The next thing you can do is that you can also look for a picture, e.g. here I have an apartment picture and I can put it on the back. Oh, and then I have to make it big. So I'm going to select it and then I'm going to scroll and make it bigger. So I want it to fit the entire video. You can see that it's actually making the green-screen now. So whatever you put under your video is going to be the background or whatever you have green is going to change it to whatever you have underneath. E.g. I. Can remove it and I can put it back. And again, e.g. try a different one. Here. I have a picture that I got online. Let's try this one. So I'm going to select it. And let's make it a little bit bigger. Let's try this one. And here we go. So you can see I have two pictures right here, and this one gets priority because it comes first. But if I hide it, e.g. is going to be the other one. And this one I can of course select it and make it a little bit bigger and you get that effect. So e.g. here I have this one which is the living room. And I can also select it and I can add so I can modify it a little bit. E.g. I. Would like to add the Gaussian blur. I'm going to add a little bit of debt and I'm going to just make it a little bit blurry. We now have created the library. I think that looks pretty good. But the biggest problem you might have with this is that your, it might not be perfectly green. So e.g. if your background is not, if it's not perfectly green, this depends of course, a lot on what camera you're using. Because before I used to make videos using a GoPro and the green-screen effect would not be very good. But if you have like, a nice, like a DSLR camera is going to look quite okay. So if it's not working, you can select it. And here you have all of the career options. So my recommendation first is that you go over to the view and you can click the one on the middle, because this one will tell you which parts are not perfectly green. So here I have this area that is not perfectly green. And if I go to this one, it's hard to see, but it should be there. And if you want to make this one green, you can of course, select the sample color. And then if you have the transform, you have to click on Done. And here I have the sample color, and I can move it over this one. So now it's going to tell the Kia that this color should also be included. And if I look back to it, I think it looks quite good. Some of the biggest problems you might encounter, you can fix it with this one, the fill holes option. So e.g. if I add, you can see my hair right here. You can see that. Now I can look, it looks quite okay. But if I give it more holes, my hair starts to change. So it looks a little bit more complete. But you might have this problem where my hair is not very good. You can see that it's kind of like there's kind of like sparkles around. So if I check it out right here, I can maybe add more. I can go over to my book. I don't like the way that looks. So I can decrease it or it can decrease it all the way, then I can go and that looks a little bit probably better. But you can basically, you basically have to play a lot with these ones. You can also change the spear level, which kind of adds a little bit of like this, like magenta, like kind of like a red color, purple color. In this case, the Spirit Level. I like to keep it at around 46. You can also add some distance around the edges. You might find this much more useful with other cameras. Trip to, my camera is kind of like okay with the green screens. So maybe I'm going to lower the edge distance. So if you're still having problems, you can go over to this one. They made tools and kind of play around with these ones because this one's also work a little bit. E.g. right here. If I move this one to the left, I think it's looking a little bit better. All of my files in my case, my biggest problem is always my hair is key in my hair. But I think on this shot, it looks quite okay. But let me show you an example of a really bad one. But this one, here's an example of a bad one. If I tried to add back here to this video, this one was shot on a GoPro belief that, so this one, you can see that I have to move around a little bit here, and especially in the couch and the background. So if I click over here, you can see that the green screen is really, really bad. So you have to use this one to make it a little bit better. And now the couch is disappearing. So in this case, I like to go over to the made tools and add a little bit of this one. But it's still, the couch is kind of like shining a little bit. So you kind of have to play a little bit with this, with these settings and see which ones look better. If you're making a video and make sure that your background looks quite nice. And green because of your background has like a lot of colors around e.g. like this one, it might not be perfect. Your green-screen effect might not be the best one. Because even though it's screen, you also have some shadows around it, which makes the program wonder if it's really green or it's like a dark type of green, which is not the most exact kind of green. So keep that in mind as well. 59. Green Screen Masking: So now we're going to use the masking effect. So here I have a video where I say in Thailand, hello from the beach in Thailand. And underneath this video, I have a picture of a beach. So let's start first by making this picture bigger and this one, okay? So it fits. The next thing I wanna do is that I want to add the green screen effect. So for this, I'm going to go back to the here, which is right here, and I can add it. And there we go. We now added the green screen effect, which is very beautiful. And there's kinda like a problem a little bit with my hair because it's not perfectly well. So I'm gonna go this way and I'm going to use this sample color. And I'm going to add, I'm going to sample this color first. And my hair, it's a little bit worse. So now I'm gonna go over to the mate tools and I'm going to move it, move it a little bit. And nothing that looks okay. Let's try this one. Maybe more to the left. This one. Okay. Island. Which is very bad thing. That's quite okay. Yeah. I like this one. That looks pretty okay, my opinion. Okay. 45 field the holes. Let's see if it makes any difference. In Thailand. Okay? No, I don't like the feel the whole function. So in my case, I prefer using this one, the main tools levels, and then move this one to the left. Okay, so now that I added my green screen, we have to get rid of this one. So for this, I'm going to go over to the mask effect. And I'm going to add this one, the drum mask, and I'm going to put it on the top. So the first thing I have to do is that I have to add a control point. So I'm slowly going to add some, I'm going to start a point here. And then I'm going to slowly going to start to draw my mask. So let's see. I'm going to just draw it around this section K. And then I'm gonna go out of the picture. Then I'm gonna make this one maybe around at 25 out of the picture again, out. And once again, now I'm going to select this one. Then I'm going to click on fit. And my mask has made me disappear. So I'm gonna go to this one and I'm going to click on this one. So if you're the one that disappeared and not this part, you can click on Invert Mask. So in birth will make the opposite side disappear. So if you select the normal mode, anything outside of the mask will disappear. And if you invert it, you will be the opposite effect. What's inside the mask will disappear. So let's see how this looks like. Let's click on Done. And let's click on the top. If I select this one, I can move around with the mask. I'm going to select another effect just to get rid of the lines. And let's see how this one looks like. From the beach in Thailand. The beach is very beautiful today. Okay, I think it looks good, but there is one thing that I don't like, which is that my picture is shaking too much, but the picture on the back is not shaking. So in this case, I'm going to select my picture. I'm going to add the stabilization function. Okay, let's click on stabilization and let's play it highland. Oh, this looks much better. That looks pretty good, Definitely. So let's see. Hello from the beach. In Thailand. The beach is very beautiful today. This one looks pretty good. It's not shaking anymore. So this is without the stabilization. It's definitely shaking. But with the stability station, it doesn't shake anymore. The next thing I wanna do is that I also want to add another effect. This one is going to be the handheld effect. And now I'm actually going to select both. And I'm going to create a new compound clip. And I'm going to click on Okay. And now I can add one effect into this one will, which will apply to both. So I'm going to apply it. The clinical effect kind of makes it like you're actually shaking your camera. So it looks like this from the beach in Thailand. The beach is very beautiful today. So you can see how it starts to shake. Like I'm actually holding the camera and everything is moving at the same time. And I can add a little bit more of shakiness. Let's see, Hello from the beach. In Thailand. The beach is very beautiful today. So you can see how it looks like. I'm actually holding the camera and everything is moving. It looks a little bit more natural like that. So that's basically how the mask effect works. And you can also add a few more effects into it to make it look a little bit better. 60. Green Screen on a PowerPoint: So something that you can also do is that you can put a green screen to e.g. a. Powerpoint. So here I have my video and I'm going to select them. And these two, I'm going to make them into a compound clip. And now I'm actually just going to trim it. So I'm going to trim the sides. Maybe around. Whoops. Okay, around right there. Then I click on done. And the next thing I want to do is that I want to go to my PowerPoint and I have a PowerPoint presentation here, e.g. I'm talking about international politics. I'm doing a presentation about the topic. So what I'd like to do is that I like to put a background with this color, which is this green color. And the settings for this one is that you put the reds as zero, the green set 255, and the blue at zero. Or you can also use this hex color, zero-zero ff00. This is the color that I like for the background. So anything that is green, that is this color, will be changed with the green screen, with a green screen effect. So I'm going to make it big. And I'm going to press command I because this deletes these things on the bottom. So I don't want to see like the special tools in the bottom. So I press on command I to delete them. And now I'm going to take a screenshot by pressing command, shift the number three. And there we go. We now have our screenshot. So now I'm gonna go back to my Final Cut Pro. So now I'm going to look for my screenshot and I'm going to drag it over. Now. I'm just going to make it a little bit longer. So this one is gonna go right here. And let's make it longer, let's make it big. And there we go. Now it's the whole screen. So now I'm going to select it and I'm gonna go to my key or effect. I'm just going to drag it on the top. And there we go. We now got rid of the green stuff. And then I'm gonna go over to the cropping tool. And I'm going to use the trim function to remove some of these black bars in the bottom and also on the top. And there we go. Now I can click on Done and again select the transform tool. And from here I can just move it around. I can make it smaller or bigger. So e.g. I. Can move it to this side. Then I can select my other video and the bottom. And I can move this one also to the side so I can make it e.g. smaller right here. And maybe this one a little bit bigger. Anything that could that looks pretty okay. I think we're using the background from this one, which is the third image. So if I remove this image, is all black and now it's blue. So you can also do it this way. So you can be speaking mile. And people can also see your PowerPoint. And I think I can modify this one a little bit more. E.g. I. Can crop it even smaller. It's kind of like this. Then I can click on Done transform and will it look better like this? Let's make it bigger. I think that looks okay. And this one like this. So you can play around with the sizes and all of these things. What that is basically how you add a PowerPoint also into Final Cut Pro. And you use the keyword function to remove some of the background. So basically, if you go to the PowerPoint, anything that is green will be removed and everything else will just stay there. 61. How to clone yourself: So now we're going to learn how to clone yourself. So here I have a video, and in this video, I come up in one position. And then I come up once again in another position and once again in another position. So I want to make it seem as if I'm actually three different persons. Well, three persons being the same person basically. So when a clone myself, and the way you do this is pretty simple. The first thing I wanna do is that I want to position myself maybe right here where I have my first shot and I'm gonna make a cut. So I want to select it and then I'm going to press on the Option and then the left bracket, I can delete that part. And then I'm going to leave it right here. Okay, this is okay. And I'm gonna make one simple cut with Command B. And then I'm going to look for the next one, which is this position. So I'm going to make a cut right here, and I'm going to delete this one. Then I'm going to look for the next position, which is, okay, this one right here. I'm going to cut. And let's start with the next position, which is gonna be right here. And I'm gonna make a cut and delete the one in the middle. So now I have these three separate videos. So I'm gonna put them one after the next one. And the smallest one is going to be the video that gets the priority. So in this case, I'm gonna put it right here and I'm going to hit the Option and d left or right bracket to delete the other ones, to trim the other ones. So it's basically going to look like this. And I can also lower the volume. Okay? So what I wanna do now is that I'm going to select my first one, my first video. And I'm going to go over to my Effects. And I'm gonna look for the mask. And I'm going to select this one drum mask. And I'm going to put it in there. And now we can start putting some control points. So I'm going to put them maybe around right here. I'm just going to make a few cards right here, then this way. And then I'm gonna go to 25 per cent so I can make the square. And then back to fit. And I'm just going to connect them. And there we go. We now have added our picture. But the only problem right here might be with a lightning, because the lightning is not the same for both of them. Okay. Now, it is the same. So you have to be careful of that. You may have to make sure that the lightning is the same with all of your videos. Because here my lining is not the same, so I'm going to have to trim it and I'm going to have to trim all of them at the same time. And if you notice that it's that the points are too close, you can also make them a little bit further away. So e.g. like right here. Okay, you can modify the points as well. Okay, and now this is my second video. And I'm going to do the same thing for my second video. So I'm gonna go over to the drum mask and I'm going to put it in my second video. And once again, I think I'm going to try like this. Maybe around right here, right here, right here, and right here. There we go. We now have our second person. The third person is already there. So now I'm just going to de-select this by touching somewhere else. And there we go. We now have our three persons right here. There we go. So this looks pretty good. If you're having trouble with the with the colors e.g. you can select the video that you want to change and you can go over to the color corrections. And you can start to maybe play around with the exposure or tried to make it more symmetrical. Tried to fix the lightening. But just don't make it too bad that you really messed it up. So I think that the lightning looks a little bit better right there. And what I wanna do now is that I also want to go back to my, to my mask and I'm going to select it and I think I can change it, get rid of of the black parts. Okay, let's see how this looks like. Again. That looks a little bit better. It looks much more. It looks better in my opinion. So this is basically how you clone yourself. And my recommendation is to be careful with your lightning. Make sure that your lightning is the same, is the exact same in, throughout the whole video. Because you don't want to have this problem where there is a little bit of different lightening depending on which part of the video you're in. 62. Horizontal Video in Vertical Format with Blur Background: So now that we made a video where we cloned ourselves, I want to put this video but into a vertical video. And one thing that I want to do is that I want to give it kind of like a blurry background. If you see right here, you can see that the video looks normal in the center and in the two sides. It looks a little bit blurry, but it's the same video. I want to use this plugin which is called the M vertical. So for that you can go to motion v effects and search for this M vertical. And then you can click here and get it for free. And from there you can just install it if you don't know how to install plug-ins for emotion VFX, then you can check out one of my previous videos where I talk about this. So now let's go back to Final Cut Pro. And what I wanna do is that I'm going to create a new project. This one, I'm going to call it the Instagram friends real. Then for the video type, I'm going to select vertical and the resolution is going to be 1080 by 1920. And from there I can just click on, Okay. And here we go. This is gonna be right here. So if I go back to this one, I can select all of them and Command C to copy. And then I'm gonna go over to this one, the Instagram Reels, and I'm going to paste it. And now it looks like this. The next thing I wanna do is that I want to copy all of them and I want to make a compound clip. So I'm going to select them then click on this one new compound clip, and then I click on, Okay. And now this one, I want to make it a little bit bigger. So maybe around, I think right there looks good. Then I can click on Done. And if you download it, this plugin and vertical, you can find it in your plugin section in the titles part. And then I'm going to look for this one, m vertical. So I'm going to grab this one and I'm going to put it on top of my video. And you can see that now we have kind of like a blurry background on the back. And the way you modify this one, if you selected, you can go over to the settings right here, the parameters. And the first part is going to be the source. So this part refers to the actual video. So e.g. if I move, the video, is going to move the entire video. So I don't actually want this. What you want to do is that you want to go all the way to the bottom. And you want this one, the B, G. So then you can move the positions. So here I have one person, but I want it to be two different persons. So I'm going to move around with the with the numbers. So maybe around the 300, let's see. Maybe 350. Let's check it out. I think 350 looks okay. I think that looks pretty good around that 350. So yeah, that's basically how you add kinda like a blurry background. You can use this plugin which is the M vertical. And something else that I want to do is that I want to put some letters. So for that I'm going to go over to my Effects and then look for the project where you saved your effects. So it's gonna be this one. And what I want is the titles because I kind of already have the modified, I have them with the kind of like the size that I want, the colors and the outline that I want. So I'm going to go right here and and let's make it bigger. This one. Now I'm just going to move it a little bit up. And I think my video, I'm going to move it down a little bit. Whoops. Oh, this is something if you move your video down, it's going to bring the whole thing with it. So now that we kind of made a mess of this one, we have to select the M vertical. And then we have two, once again change the BG y position. So let's put it around right here. Okay, That looks okay. And for the words I can put them around right here. I'm going to call this one. Let's see, I actually just move to a new country. I moved to Australia. So I'm gonna put something about that. Let's see. When you just moved to a new country, have an idea. Your friends. When you just move to a new country, your new friends when you just move to a new country. And it's basically like un, yourself. So it's kinda like I'm trying to make it a little bit funny right here. So this is basically how you add a horizontal video into a vertical video. And you want to make it kind of like the Instagram real type or that TikTok style. So this is something that you can do with the blurry background and everything. 63. Making your Horizontal Videos Vertical: Another thing that you can do is that you can also make this horizontal video and make it vertical. So let's try a different way. So the first thing I wanna do is that I want to select all of them. And then I'm going to make it a compound clip so I can click on. Okay, so now it's basically just one clip. I'm going to select the project and I'm going to click on Duplicate project as from here, I can just change the, the video mode to vertical mode and the resolution. And especially click on this one, smart conform, because if you click on this one, it's going to conform your video over to the vertical size. If you don't click on it, you will just get the square and then you have to manually align it. So now I'm just going to click on, Okay. And let's wait for it. And it looks like this now. And now my video basically looks like this is the same size as the whole project. So what I wanna do now is that I want to put my marker at the end. Then I'm going to click on Transform and I want to move it right in the beginning. I wasn't the first picture to come up here. And I'm also going to change the y-axis to zero just so that I make it exactly the same size as the screen size. And I'm going to click on this one. I'm going to put a keyframe. And then I'm going to move my line all the way right here to the end. And then I'm going to move one frame to the left just so that I get access to this. They're moving tool. And I'm going to move it all the way to right here. And once again, I'm going to move the Position to zero just so that it's aligned properly. And now let's see how it looks like. I'm going to click on done. And I think that looks quite okay. It's me. It's me again. And once again. It's me. Yeah. And I think that looks pretty good. So that's basically how you make a large, like a horizontal video into a vertical video. And from there you can also modify it and add some key frames just so that it looks good also in the vertical mode, because sometimes it might not be the exact same size. So you're going to have to play around with the effects to make it seem rather okay. 64. Color Board: Okay, so now we're going to use the color board. So here I have three different pictures that I took of the sunset. And in order to use the color board, I'm going to select a picture. So I'm going to select this one, which is the one in the middle. And then we're gonna go over to the second option right here, which are the color parameters. And from here we have different options. We can add color board, some color wheels, color curves, or hue and saturation curves. So we can actually click on it or we can just start modifying it. In this case, I'm going to click on this one color board, and I will add a color board. And the board has three different options. It has the color option, the saturation, and the exposure. So if I go over to the color option, so let me delete the first two pictures. I can start to move with these parameters. So the first one is going to be the global one. So let's see how this one looks like. So if I start to go up, it starts to become a little bit green. And if I go down it becomes a little bit purple. I can move it to maybe around blue, and it starts to change the color. So I like to move these ones, but very lightly. E.g. this one, I can move it a little bit down and it looks a little bit more purple. The next one is going to be the shadows. So I can move it up and it starts to give it a few more shadows. Or I can just leave it as it is. And the next one is going to be the mid tones. So I can just select them, maybe make them a little bit higher. I like this blue color right here. And the last one is going to be the highlights. So if I make it up, it starts to look very blue. So maybe this one looks too blue. Maybe look for a nice color. And I think that looks pretty nice. So if I click on my color board, we can see the original picture looks like this. Once I add the color options, it looks a little bit better, definitely. And we also have this one which is the saturation. So if you go to the global 1D global option, we can move all of them at the same time. And if I start to go up, it starts to look a little bit nicer like this blue color. It starts to look more saturated. It looks a little bit different. It looks kind of like a cartoon almost. But I'm just going to leave it maybe around, around this one. And the next one is gonna be the shadows. So let's play around with this one. I can make it higher or lower. So I'm going to put it around this. The next one is gonna be the mid tones. Let's see how this looks like. I like it like this. The last one is going to be the highlights. So I can make it lower or I can make them higher. And in this case I think it looks pretty good. The next one is going to be the exposure. So this one starts to give it more light. E.g. if I go up, it looks very light, has a lot of light and if I go down, it looks very dark, even it disappears. So this one may be like, I think this one looks pretty good. And you can also move it with the global forum. But I don't like this one. I'm not going to move the global one. And let's move these shadows. No, not the shadows. And the next one is gonna be the mid tones. And I don't like them too. I think like this. It looks pretty good already. So this is the original one, and this is the one with the color Board Options. And I think they look pretty good. If you want to add them to the other videos. Let's see the other ones. You can basically click on Command C to copy. Then you can select the first file, and then you can click on Command Shift V. And now you can paste the attributes. So I'm going to add the color boards. Then I'm going to click on Paste. And I think that looks pretty okay. I don't like the skin tones, however, on this picture. And let's paste it to the second one. And paste. I think it looks nice, but I don't like how this skin color looks like. The skin tones look very unrealistic. So maybe I can select e.g. this picture, which is the top picture. So I'm going to select my picture right here. And let's lower some of these colors. So it looks a little bit more natural. Let's see how this looks like. I'm going to lower the exposure a little bit and the color. So that's kinda like how you add the color grading. 65. Color wheels: Another thing that you can also add, our color wheels. If I select my middle picture right here, and then I go over to color board right here, I can select the other option, which is the Color Wheels option. So I can click on it. And here you have a few more options, e.g. if you move the global, you can move all of these settings. So if, if you select the left side, you can adjust the saturation of your picture. And if you select the right side, you can select the brightness of your picture. So now it's very bright and not so bright. And if you select the center, you can also make your picture as specific color. So if I move it around, if I move this ball around, it starts to change colors, e.g. now it looks more purple, more blue, definitely more blue and pink, kind of pinkish. And if you want to reset, you can just click on the Reset button or you can basically double-click on them. So if you mess up e.g. it's too bright, you can double-click on it and it will be reset. Another thing you can do is the shadows. So if I go up, it's going to increase the shadows and then I can lower them. So let's move around with the shadows to the left, the saturation, and the brightness, kind of like this. The next one is for the highlights. So let's move with the saturation. And which one looks good? I think this one looks too fake. So maybe around right here. And the brightness of the highlights, kind of like right there, I guess. And the mid tones, we can also modify them. So I think this one looks okay. And the one on the left, kind of like a little bit down. And you can also move around with the temperature, e.g. now it's 5,000 and you can make it higher or lower as well. So I can make it e.g. like 6,500. We can also add some tint, some blue tint or some kind of like purple tint. But this one, I don't click on it. And we can also play around with the hue, but this one, I never use it. So I think this one looks a little bit better now. And we can also play around with the mix, let's see, like right here. So this one is with the color wheels and this one is without it. So that's the original one that only has the color board. And this one includes the color wheels. So now let's also paste it into the other videos. I'm going to copy this one, select the first one, Command Shift B. And in this case I'm only, I'm only going to select the color wheels and paste. So this one is the one on the bottom. And now the one on the top. Let's select only the color wheels and paste. So now it looks a little bit different. I think that looks okay so far, it's improving. 66. Color Curves: Another feature that we also have here on the color parameters is the color curves option. So once again, I'm going to select my video in the center. And I'm gonna go over here and I'm going to click on color curves. So now we get a few more curves right here. E.g. if we move the luma a little bit up, it looks like this. We can also move e.g. the red one. And we can also move something in the middle, e.g. right here. We can make like kind of like a curb if you want to change the colors a little bit. So let's see how this one looks. I'm going to try something a little bit more kind of like this. We can also move around with the blue, e.g. right here or higher, that looks way too blue. Kind of like this. I think this one looks okay, or this one looks weight to two unreal. And let's see which one looks maybe like this. We can also click on the mix if we want. So maybe right there. Okay, so now let's see the difference. If we go back to the Effects. This is WIDA with the color wheels and this with a color curves. So there is a small difference. So let's see how it looks like when we add it to the other ones. Command C and then Command Shift B. And I'm going to select only the color curves and paste. This one is the one in the bottom. And let's paste it to the one on the top. And paste. So let's see how this one looks like now. Okay, it looks alright. And if you don't like any of these effects, you can also remove them. E.g. you can remove the color board or the hue and saturation curves. Some of the color wheels or the colored curves. You can just leave one of them. E.g. like this. I think I like the color board a little bit. 67. Hue / Saturation Curves: And the other effects that we can also find is this one which is known as the hue and saturation curves. So I can select it. And e.g. something I like to do right here is that you can use this tool and then you can select a color, e.g. this one, and it will point it for you. And now you can actually go up and down and play around with the color a little bit. E.g. let's write the hue and saturation and we can select it right here. And this one, we can make it like a little bit higher or a little bit lower if you want to make it a little bit lower in this case. Let's try the Hue vs Luma. So this one is right here too. And let's see if it makes any difference. Like that. I think I like how that looks. The luma versus sad. Let's select it. So this one is kind of like a line. So e.g. like this, I can just make it higher or lower. So you can use your eye to see which one looks a little bit better. And so yeah, I think I'm going to use it like this. And let's see how this looks. If I paste it to the other videos Command V. And let's only select the hue and saturation, then paste. I think it makes sense. Slight difference. Let's select it once again and paste. So I think my video looks alright so far. But the other thing I want to show you is what a different video. This one, which is the video that I took it kind of like at the beach. Like it's a green-screen video. And I'd really like to use this function for one reason. If I select my video and I go over to the Kia, I can remove it. I can see these green screen. And it's something that I like to do is that I like to use the hue and saturation curves to make the green a little bit better. So one thing that you can also do is that you can go over to the window and then go to workspaces and click on this one, color and effects. And you will get right here a lot of the colors. So I'm going to change the view because only 12, which is this one, and I actually only want one. Let's see if I can select the vector escape. This one. I want the greens to be rather on the line, to be rather more precise, to be like a proper green. So what I'd like to do is that I can select this one and then I put it on the green. Now you'd marks the green. So if I go up, you can see the green starts to change, e.g. now it's purple. And if I go up, I can try to make it more perfect, rather a more perfect green. So the closer you get to the G, the more kind of like perfect it is. So I'm going to select this one, and I'm also going to select the hue and saturation. And let's go up. So it starts to become a little bit more green. Let's try the Hue vs Luma. Let's see around here. And let's go up. So I think I'm starting to like how this looks like. So this one rather starts to make the green look a little bit better. But it only applies it to the green color. And now, if I go back, I can actually add a new key here, because the one that I have already has the settings for the previous one. And let's see actually let's see if there's a difference. Let's see. The beach is very beautiful. Look at this one, looks pretty good. But let's see if I add a new one and let's use the automatic features. Let's add a new key here. Okay, This one. Hi, it's kind of like some glue, some gray in the back. E.g. if I selected right here, I can see a lot of the gray stuff. So for that I can use the sample color feature. And let's see what this looks like. Okay, my hair is a little bit different. I can either fill the holes. But if you look on the bag, it starts to make this bottom part right here. The feature that I like using is the mat tools and then just lower this one a little bit. This one is my preferred choice. And I think it looks pretty good now. So that is something that you can also do if you have a green screen and you see that your green is not so perfect, you can use the hue and saturation curves to try to make it look a little bit better. Tried to make it look more green, to make it easier for key reflect to detect your green screen. So if you have some trouble with your green screen, you can use this function to fix it a little bit. 68. Skin tone correction: So now we're going to try to correct the skin tones. So here I have a video, but my skin tones look a little bit like too pale. So the way I fixed this is that I go over to the cropping tools right here. And then I select the trim option. And I trim my video only until I have the color of my skin. So let's just make a small square. And I think that's okay. The next thing I do is that I go over to Window workspaces and I select this one, the color and effects. So here we have different options. We have the Luma, the RGB overlay, RGB Parade. But what we want is the vector scope. So I'm gonna go over to View and select only one. And here I'm going to select this one, the vector scope. And what we have right here is my skin color. And this line right here in the middle is the skin tone line basically. So what I wanna do is that I want to put my skin color exactly on this line. So the way I do this is that I go over to my Effects and then select this one, the hue and saturation curves. So I select this one, the hue and saturate the Hue vs Hue. And then I place it over my video and then make it bigger. And here we go. We now have a line right here. So if I make my line down, you will notice that my color is leaving. This line is no longer near, near this line. So what I wanna do is that I want to get it as close as possible to this line. So I think maybe Around right here, I think that looks okay. And the next one I choose, and the next one I go for the Hue vs Saturation. So I also do the same thing. And in this case, if I make it, it's going to make it higher. So if I go lower, it's going to make it lower. So I'm gonna kinda like make it a little bit higher. And the next one is going to be the Hue vs Luma. So I'm going to select it and I'm gonna do the same thing, just make it a little bit higher. And that thing, if I go down, it doesn't look too good. So I'm going to make it a little bit higher. I think that should be okay. Now I can go back to my normal default screen. And I'm going to select my video, and I'm going to reset these colors. So now my skin is not as spell as before. So this is the before option and it looks quite pale. And this one is with the hue and saturation curves. It looks a little bit, it looks a little bit better in my opinion. But if you're still not convinced, you can still play around with them. So if I go up, this one looks really bad. So I'm going to try the Hue vs Hue. This one looks very bad. If I try the Hue versus sets and I go up and down, I think this one looks pretty good. So I'm going to so from here you can make it a little bit higher if you want. And the Hue vs Luma know, maybe I'm going to lower this one a little bit. So this one makes it darker and lighter. So I think I'm just going to reset this one. I'm just going to keep this one and maybe a little bit higher. And maybe this one, yeah, Maybe this one. I will make it a little bit higher. I'm going to click on Dawn and select my color. And let's make it a little bit. Maybe hire a little bit of color. A brightness. This one, no, I think no brightness on this one. The beach is very beautiful today. So I think this column looks better. This is the original color which definitely looks very pale. And this one is with the color correction. So I think this skin tones look a little bit better right now. They look more normal. So you can also do it this way if you want to fix your skin tones. 69. White Balance: So now we're going to use the white balance feature. So here I have a video and you can see the color of how it looks like. And we're going to add this special white balance effect. So if I go back to the beginning, I'm using my clapper board right here. So what I wanna do is that I want to get a part that looks white. So here we have some colors on my clapper board slate. So I'm going to select my video. And then I'm going to click over to this one. And I'm going to click on balance color. So I click on it. And here in my effects we have this one, the balanced color, and the method is automatic, so it's automatically adding some special effect. And what I wanna do is that I want to select it and then I want to click on this one, white balance. And from here I can select the white part. And the white that I want to select is the one omega clapper board, because this one is kind of like the more original white color. So I'm going to select it and then I'm going to start making us a small circle. If you go too much, it starts to get a little bit of the other colors. So I want to get a small circle that only gets the white part. So let's try maybe like right here. I think that's good enough. And now let's see how it actually looks like. So this is how my video looks like with the white balance. And if I remove the white balance, it looks like this. So it looks a little bit darker, but once I put it in, it looks definitely way better. It looks more real. So this one is width and this one is without. So for this, I recommend getting a clapper board like this one that has access to different types of colors. So in this case, you have to select a white one and tried to get the colors from the white one. 70. Noise Reduction: If you notice that your video quality is a little bit noisy, you can also fix it on Final Cut Pro. So for that, you can go over to the Effects and then look for the noise reduction effects. And here you can just grab it and you can pass it over to your video. And once you put it, Final Cut Pro will start to analyze the video. So it might take a little bit of time before you can see the results, before you can see the new settings. So this one now has the medium, medium noise reduction with a low sharpness. So this one is width and without. And I think you can see like a small difference basically. But if you hire it e.g. two, let's try maximum, maximum noise reduction. You can see some small differences and you can also change the sharpness. E.g. if you go over to maximum sharpness, you can see some things appear. You can see the background a little bit noisy, and when I add it, it becomes a little bit more visible. So let's try a different scene, e.g. let's see this one. So let's remove the noise reduction. And you can see some subtle changes, e.g. if you look at the ground right here, I added, you can start to see a little bit more of the lights here, and a few of the building lights also show up. You can always use this tool. If you want to make your videos look a little bit better, is not going to make that huge of a difference. But you might find it helpful sometimes. If you really, really want to avoid having noise, then it all depends on how you shoot your video, on your video quality, and how you shoot in low light. So this effect might be useful, but it's not going to completely solve all of the noise issues. 71. LUTS: Something else that you can do is that you can add a specific color grading from other artists and other people who use Final Cut Pro. And for this, you can add what is known as a custom LUT. So if you go over to your effects, you can search for custom. And you can use this one custom lot, and then you can apply it over to your video. And what we get right here is a special area for the lot. However, you need to import your lat. And the way I'm going to import it is that I'm going to go over to this website where I got a few of my plugins from Final Cut Pro. And I'm going to select this one, the lot packs. And then I'm going to download this one which is for free. So I'm going to add to cart, then download for free, check out, download, then to my junk email. And here we go. We now have the confirmation and I can click on view your order. And from here I can just downloaded. And here we go. We now have the lot pack. Okay, so here we have the lot pack and I'm going to unzip it. And here we go. So inside we have a few files that are called, that are named dot cube. So these are the files that can be opened with the Final Cut Pro program. So if we go back to Final Cut Pro, we can click here on the lats, and then we can click on Choose costume lot. And from here we can go back to the folder where we unzip the file. And I'm going to select it, explore a lot pack. And I'm going to select all three of them. And I'm just going to click on Open. And what do we get now is that we now have all of the three options. So I added one before, which is a teal and pink. But the other ones, the chrome, orange, Dorothy and Xenia, are here already. So let's see how the Chrome looks like. So Chrome looks, looks for something different. It looks like it fits some different video. Let's try the orange dolphin. I hope it's not too orange. That looks quite okay, which is very beautiful today. Okay. Let's try the xenia senior, which is very beautiful today. Okay. I think I don't like them. However, I do like them if I go inside my video and I add a lot to the background. So let's see the Chrome background, or the teal and pink arrow or the orange dolphin. Let's write this one, the orange dolphin. And then I go back and it looks like this. Let's try did senior, senior looks alright, so this is basically how you add lots. However, some lots might look better with some landscapes, and others might look better at nights and others might look better, e.g. at video blogs. So make sure you find a lot that you like. Or if you don't like them, you can play around with these settings, with the color grading settings. 72. Adjustment Layer: So now we're going to use adjustment layers. So the way I just meant layers work is that you put a layer on top of your video and then you can modify the settings of the video. And whatever is under this layer will have those settings. E.g. if I add a Gaussian blur effect, I can just add it to the layer. And anything under this layer will have the Gaussian blur effect. So if I move the layer, it stops having it. And if I put it, it will have it. And you can add a lot of things to it, e.g. you can also add some color grading. If you change the color, whatever is under this adjustment layer will have those settings, e.g. right here and right here, you can see the difference. So adjustment layers don't come with Final Cut Pro by default, so you have to download them online. So here I found one on line and if you cannot find it, you can just look it up, adjustment layers on Google or check it out on YouTube because they might have a link to the adjustment layer download site. So I'm going to use this one that I found on the internet. And I'm just going to download it. And here I have it. And then I'm just going to copy this file. And I'm gonna go back to my movies section that I'm gonna go to motion templates. Then I'm gonna go over to tiles and I'm going to paste it there. I'm going to paste my folder. So my folder is called adjustment. So now if I go back to Final Cut Pro, I have it right here, adjustment. So this particular layer is, has four types. Well, they are the same layer, but they have four different names. So in this case there are just different names. The names are just there to help you organize your videos easier. So e.g. if you just add the adjustment layer, you can put anything you want. You can modify the colors. You can play around with the effects. You can change the cropping. So e.g. if I crop it right here, anything under this layer will have that crop. So this one is the basic adjustment layer. The other layers, they do basically the same thing, but they just have a different name so that you can know which layer is which, e.g. this one is the correction layer. You can always add some other effects, but this one is more designed so that you use it for color correction. You can of course, add any effects you want. But the name is just there so that you memorize that you can put color corrections there. So if I add e.g. the exposure and make it a little bit brighter. And let's see how this looks like with my video. I think that looks quite good. So I can just put the exposure and all of the effects inside the layer. And if I hide the layer, you don't have those settings. So I can always get it back. And I'm just so I'm just going to leave it right here. The next layer is the crop layer. So if I added, I can use it for cropping different things. So e.g. I'm gonna go over to the other video. So I'm gonna go over to projects and I'm going to add this one, the beach. And I'm going to add my cropping layer. And I'm just going to make a cut right here. So here I am speaking. And what I wanna do with this crop layer is that I want to add a specific cropping, get on like a transform. I can make it a little bit higher. I can scale it a little bit. Then I'm going to transform it, e.g. like right here. Let's click on 25 per cent, now, 50%. So right here. So now it is normal in the moment my video reaches the crop layer, it will get corrupt and out it stops being corrupt. So this is quite helpful because you can basically just copy and paste wherever you want that cropping effect to be at. So this way you don't have to like move around with the transform tools, then you can somewhere else make another cut and then change the transform settings for that specific cut. You can basically just use the crop layer to make the Zoom for you. To make that specific Zoom, you can use the adjustment layer. This one just has the crop layer for the name. So these are basically how adjustment layers work. You just put one and you can put any effects you want and anything that is under that layer will have those effects. 73. Focus and Vignette: Now we're going to add a focus and a binge to our video. So here I have a video. And what I wanna do is that I want to bring the attention closer to my face, not much to the background. So I'm going to select my video right here. And then I'm gonna go over here to the color inspector and select the color board. And in the color board, we can click on this button. Then we can click on this one, add a shape mask. So now we have the options down here. So here we have two options, inside and outside. So if we select inside, we can modify that things that are inside this mask on this rings in the middle, the effects are not so strong, e.g. if I select the outside and then I move it down, you can see that the outside is very dark. The inside is very white, but the middle is kind of like not so strong. So D is kinda like the feather. So what I wanna do now is that I want to go to the inside and I'm going to leave the inside maybe a little bit. I'm going to increase the exposure a little bit. And on the outside, I'm going to lower the exposure a little bit to make it a little bit darker. If you want to make it higher or you want to increase the size of the middle ring, you can just expand it. And if you click on these keys, you can also expand it a little bit. So here e.g. I. Can put it on my face. I can put this. And I'm going to expand the ring a little bit. And maybe I want this a little bit smaller. Let's see. Kinda like on the back, 0 K and then maybe a little bit bigger. I think that should be okay. And I'm going to click on this circle just so that I see how it looks like without it. So now my face looks a little bit more centered, looks like there is more light, but straight onto my face. Okay? And you can modify this by going back to the Effects. So if you click on the Shape mask, nothing will happen. You have to click on the color board because the color board includes the shape mask inside. The next effect I want to add is this one which is called focus. So I can just add it to my video and it will create kind of like this focus feeling. So now if I go over here to my Effects, once you add it the first time is very high, the amount is very high. So you can lower it down a little bit. So I'm going to lower it. You can also move the width and the height. So e.g. I. Can move the height. Here, it's everything. And here you can also move it right here if you want it closer to your face. So I'm gonna put it closer to my face and I'm going to increase the height. Okay, I think that looks okay. So here, let's put it closer to my face. Increase the height a little bit, and the width. Let's make it around this, this one, however, you cannot fully see it. So now if we look at it, so now you can see that my background is soluble, blurry, and you can see that the attention is mostly focused on my face. But I make if I remove the color board, it looks like this. If I remove the focus, it looks like this. So the focus can make a small difference. It makes things a little bit more blurry. You can add a little bit more if you want, but not too much. And let's see it. So now we're going to make De Gen Z gate, which is one of my favorite. And I think the color board, you can see kind of like where it changes right here. So if I go back to the effects and then the corner border effects, the shape mask, I can kinda make it a little bit high, a little bit bigger to think like that, Let's see. So now we're gonna make De Gen Z gate, which is one of my favorite Korean soups. I think that looks pretty good. You can see that blurry the background. And you can see that the colors are kind of like looking alright? But the attention is mostly focused on your face. 74. Before and After Reveal effect: So now we're going to make a before and after reveal effect. So here I have a video which I added some color grading into it. What I'm gonna do is that I'm going to make a copy of this video and I'm going to paste it on the top. And this one is going to have the, all of the effects. The one on the bottom. So I'm going to hide it. The one on the bottom is not going to have any effects for these. I'm just going to click here on the Effects tab. And it basically turns it into the normal raw image. So this one is basically the image that your camera 2k and the one on the top is the same one, but we'd all of the effects included. So you can see, you can notice a difference right here. So the next thing of what I do is that when I go over to my transitions, which is the second option, and I'm going to look for the Wipe transition. And this one wipe, and I'm gonna put this one over the first one. So here we have two transitions, the beginning one and the ending one. So I'm gonna delete the ending one and the first transition. If you look at it, it looks very fast, but you can see kind of like the wipe effect. If you want to make this slower, you can just make it a little bit longer. So now if you do it like this, you can see, you can see a change much slower and you can make it even slower. So let's check it out. This looks pretty good, and it's definitely much slower. And if you select your transition right here, you can also change the direction, e.g. if you wanted, instead of going to the right, make it go from the left. You can also do the same thing. So now the transition is going to come from the left. And that's basically how you add this effect. If you wanted to see both in the middle, you can also do it by just cropping. And you can just select this one and you can move it around like right here. And you can also do it like this if you want. You can see both sides. If you want this kind of effect as well. 75. Creating a talking head: So now we're going to create a talking head video. So here I have my video where I'm talking. And the way I like to make a talking head is that I'd like to go over here to the titles and generators. And then I'm gonna go over two generators. And I'm gonna look for this one which is called shapes. So I'm going to grab a shape and put it on the top. And then I'm going to select it. And if you go over to this shape, to this shape options at the inspector here, you can actually change the form. So if you want a circle or a square, or an arrow or anything like this. So let's start by making a circle. And then I'm going to place it over my head. And then I'm going to click on Transform. And I'm going to remove this one, the outline color. And then I want to make this a little bit bigger. So what I wanna do is that I want to go over to this one, to the transform tools, and then I'm going to scale it. So maybe around ride right here looks good, I think. So Let's see if it fits my whole head. So now let's make it bigger. I think that looks pretty good. And I'm gonna make this the whole size of my video. So I'm just going to drag it and make it the entire size. And now I'm going to select my, my circle. And I'm gonna go over to compose thing. And I'm going to select this one, stencil luma. So I click on it and there we go. It now changed and now we have a head right here. So now I can just grab both, both the videos. And I'm going to create a new compound clip. And then I'm going to click on, Okay. And there we go. We now have a new compound clip. So now we can just basically move this around, make it smaller, make it bigger. And e.g. if you want to add like a video right here, you can also do it. So if I grab e.g. one of my screen recordings, I can just put it right here and then I can put my talking head. I'm going to put it under my talking head. And there we go. We now just created the document is basically how you create one. And from here you can just move it around, place it wherever you want. And if you selected, we can go back and I can select it and I can change the size, e.g. I. Can make it a square. If I make a square. And then I go back to my compound clip. There we go. We now have a square as well. And we can make it smaller and put it wherever we want. And let's select it again. Let's try a different shape. I'm going to go for the heart. How about a heart? Then I'm going to go back. And there we go, we now have a heart. So you just basically how you create Talking Heads. And you can also do different things, e.g. if I remove this shape and I'm going to add a file right here. So now you can also add your own. You don't have to grab them only from the generators. You can basically make your own on another program, make it like a white square or a rectangle or anything you want. And from here you can also make it bigger. You can put your head over it. And we can also do the same thing, normal stencil luma. And there we go. We now have a talking head and then you make them once again make them into a compound clip, which I already did. And there we go. We now have a talking head right here. And from here, you can just move them around or make it bigger. 76. Screen Recording: The easiest way to make a screen recording like this one, the one that I have on Final Cut Pro is by using QuickTime Player. So you can go over to your launchpad and then search for a quick time. Or if you don't like it this way, you can just press on command and the spacebar. And you can just search for it. Quicktime Player. And you can open it. So when you open QuickTime player, you don't get like a program there. What you have is the bar right here on the top. So from this bar you have different options. E.g. you can make a movie recording, an audio recording, or a screen recording. This is the one that we want to do, the new screen recording. For this, we can just click on it. So here we have different options. The first three on the left are for taking pictures of your screen. So here it says captured the entire screen, the selected window or a selected portion. But this is for capturing, so it's only for pictures. What we want are the other two, the record the entire screen, or record only a selected portion. So this one is for actually recording a video. You can look for the one you want. So I'd like to do this one, record the entire screen. But if you only want a portion, you can do this one. And from there you can just make it smaller or select the part that you want to specifically record. But in my case, I want the entire screen. So I can just select this one. And then I'm going to click on record. And if you have multiple displays, it will ask you if you want to display one or two. And in my case it's gonna be displayed one. So now it's recording and you can tell it's recording because on the top right here, you will have like a circle with a square. So this one means that it's recording. So e.g. here I am recording my Final Cut Pro. And if I click right here on the circle with a square, I can stop the recording and it will send me over to the screen recording. And from here I can just click on File, Save. And I can just save it and give it any name. E.g. I'm going to call it the screen recording trial, something like this. Then I can click on Save and it will start saving it for you. So now I can just close this window. I can just look for my file. And I can just grab my file and put it on Final Cut Pro. And from here, you can do is put it where you want this recording because on the top right, and there we go, we now have our file on Final Cut Pro. And from here you can just put e.g. you're talking head if you want it on top and then you can make your talking head smaller if you want. You can also select your file and then move it a little bit to the left. You can always do these things. And one thing e.g. is that if you want to have them, e.g. here I have boats and these two are the same. If you want to match the audio, you can just go and look for a wavelength, e.g. this one, I can just cut right here. And I think these two are the same. So I'm just going to zoom in a little bit. Okay? And then I'm gonna put it right here. And this one I'm just going to put right here. And let's play. So now we're going to learn how to add your I think it's the same one, yes. So I can just delete the audio of one. And there we go. We now have the audio. Now. Both are actually sync to each other. And then I can click on this one, Import selected. However. 77. Using the precision Editor: So now we're going to use the precision editor. So here I have two different clips. And on my first clip, this is the entire clip. So it basically ends right here where there is the red line. So if I want to add a transition, e.g. the glitch diagonal and then put it right here, is going to tell me that there is not enough media beyond the clip to generate the transition. And this is because once I'm here, you need the video to keep on going further a little bit in order to create the transition. So for this we can use the precision editor. So we basically select the middle between two different clips and we double-click on it. So here I have the red line and I can just double-click on it. And there we go. We now have this part. So this helps us, e.g. if you want to move it a little bit, and we can actually just move around the clips a little bit. So if my video is right here, there is not enough media for that transition. But if I move my video a little bit, and I also need a little bit of extra video for this part. So around right here, in order to make the transition and in order to exit the editor, I can just double-click on the center. So this square, basically, I double-click on it and it closes it. So now it's actually yellow. So if I add my glitch, my transition, now it works. So from here I can just make that transition. And here you can actually see the amount where the transition happens. So which is going to be this part? If I close the editor, this basically it. But if I e.g. remove the transition and I double-click on it and I leave no space for it. The moment I tried to add a transition, it will just not work. For this. You can just give it a little bit of space. Then you can throw in the transition. You can also go inside again. If you want, you can just move it around. You just need a little bit of an extra clip right here. If you want to make you make your transition a little bit longer, you have to go into the precision editor and give it a little bit more space, then you can go back and now you can make the transition longer. But if it's too short, it will not allow you. So here it doesn't allow me anymore. I have to go to there. I have to make it longer. And now it allows me to make the transition longer. So it will look like this. It's okay. 78. Connected Clip Tricks: So here are a few other tips about connecting clips. Here I have three clips, and these are all connected, e.g. if I have this one which is on the main, the main storyline. And what I mean by the main storyline is this black line. This line is basically the main story line. So if I hold this one and I tried to drag it, everything comes with it. So if I select it and then I click on backspace, the other clips also get deleted. A way that you can fix this is e.g. here you can see this line, this blue line that appears, this is what a clip. It is connected. So if I move this one over to the second clip and I tried to move this one is no longer connected to that clip. Same thing for the audio. I can just move it right here and it will not be connected to this clip. But another way that you can do this is to hold the option key, then the Command key, and then click on the clip where you want to change the connected line. So if I click right here, now, it changed the line to this one. So you can see that the line is now no longer at the beginning. So by default, this line is at the beginning. So e.g. here, if I go back, you can see that the line is connected right here. But if I press on the Option Command and then I click this one, the line has now been moved to almost the end. So if I click right here, now it's at the end. So I can actually connect this one to the other clip, and now this one is no longer affected. The same thing can be done with the music, e.g. I. Can put it right here. I can click on command option and then I click on the clip that I want to change the line, the connected line, which is the green one. And there we go. We now change the connected line. So there is something else that you can do. Another thing you can also do, e.g. if you want to move this clip, the one that I have in the center, you can press the Tilde key and then you can just go up. And here you can just move them individually. So if I want to move it this way, I can do it and it doesn't affect the other ones. So I just go right here and I can move it around. And this one so I can just move them again if I want. Something else that you can do is that if you hold the Option key and then you select the clip and then you move it, you can make a copy of it. So I just hold the Option key and I move it around and it's making copies of the same clip. There is also something that you can do if you want to duplicate one clip and you want to do it fast, instead of clicking here. And then maybe like a Control C Control V, you can just press the Option key and then move and create a new one. So you can also do it this way. Something else that you can do, e.g. if I want to delete this clip and I click on the backspace, everything moves to the left. What if you want to keep this thing with like a place holder with a blank Placeholder like this one. You can press, you can select your clip, then you can click on Shift, and then you press the backspace key. And it will make like a place holder for you, the exact same size as the other clip. So these are some other tricks that you can do if you want to move them. But in my opinion, the most useful one is the Tilda key. And then I can move this clip somewhere else if it is connected. And also if you want to move the connection line e.g. here to this one, you can just press Option Command and then here, and it will change the connection line. So those are some of the other more useful tips that you might find. If you find yourself wanting to delete something, but you don't want to delete everything. You can do, select it and then move the tilde key. And now you can move stuff around. So these are some other options that you can do. 79. Creating an Audition: So now we're going to create an audition. And the way this works is that you can have multiple clips into one clip itself. So e.g. here I have a clip which is a lake. And if I select it, and then I go over to clip audition, and then I can click on Duplicate solution or duplicate from original. So I'm going to select the first one. And here we now have two copies of the same clip. So if we go over here to the spotlights symbol right next to the name and you click on it. You can have, you can see your two different clips. So the one that is selected is the one that has this star. So right now, the one on the left has the star. So the one on the left is this one. And if I select the one on the right and then I click on Done, now it will be the one on the right. So for this helps really well. If you want to add some effects or you want to have different videos all into one clip and then you want to modify it. E.g. I'm going to increase the exposure and then maybe change the colors, play a little bit with the color grading, maybe the saturation, let's see, let's see what we can make. And maybe it's something like this, something like this. So I made some color grading and I want to compare it with the original one. So for that I can click on these spotlights symbol. And I can see the original one, which is this one on the left. And if I like it, I can click on Done and keep using the original one. But if I want to use the new version with the color grading, I can always select it and then I can click on Done. And here we go. We now have the color graded version. And if you want to create another copy, e.g. here you have two options. If you go to clip an addition, you can duplicate it from the original one, which is the one without the color grading. So if we click on it, we now have three clips. We have the original one, the one with the color grading, and a copy of the original one. And if you click on this one and then you click on audition and then duplicate our solution. It will duplicate the one that you currently have. So if I select the one with the color grading and then I can click on it. It will give me another version. So now we have one with color grading, one normal, one, color grading a normal. So this way you can select and you can experiment with different types of colored grids and see which one you like more. E.g. if I make this one like this, Let's see exposure. Let's, let's play around. I can always select Do I like this one better? Or do I like this one better, or this one better? So this one can be very helpful for color grading and for those kind of issues. If you find one that you like, e.g. I. Like this one, Let's say I like the one in the middle. I can click on Done. And then I can go to clip audition. And then I can click on this one, finalize audition. And now my clip is no longer an addition. It's just the one that we selected. So we no longer have the audition options. And something else that you can do is that you can also add multiple clips. So here I have another clip. Let's go for this one. And I can also add it here. And then I can click on this one, add to audition. So if I click on it, I now have two clips. I kept the original one and I also have the other one. So your base, you basically have two clips in one. And from this one, I can make e.g. some cuts. I just made some cuts. I can always go back to the other one. And yeah, you can also add multiple ones, e.g. I. Can also add another one. And then I'm going to add to the audition. And now we have three different clips. And you can basically play around with them, change the color, grading, change the size of the clip. And you can just switch between one and the other and see which one you like better. Once you find one, you can always click on finalized audition. So there can be a nice helpful trick. 80. Multicam Editing: So now we're going to use the multi-camera editing. So for this, we have to select some videos. So e.g. I'm going to select this one which is my masking video. And then I'm going to select the command key. And I'm also going to select this one, which is the masking. But this one is basically what you can see on my computer. So I select both videos, select the first one, hold Command key, select the second one. And then I'm going to right-click and I'm going to click on this one new multi-camera clip. So I click on it. And here we have a few settings. We can change the name of the clip. We can put it in a specific event. Or we can also use some special custom settings, e.g. we can assemble it according to the angles. We can assemble the order according to the time code or the content created. We can select the angle synchronization. We can also change the video size, the resolution, the rate, but I'm just going to keep it simple and go for the basic settings. So this one, I'm just going to call 64 on title multi-camera clip one. And in the event which is this one, I want to click on this one. Use the audio for synchronization. Because if you have multiple videos and they all have one audio, you can use it to synchronize with the other videos. So I'm going to select this one. And then I'm going to click on, Okay. And it's going to start synchronizing them. And now I'm just going to have to look for it, which is right here. And I just drag it into my timeline. And here if I double-click on it, I can see what's actually going on. So I can see right here that the top one has access to the audio. And I can also remove it, e.g. if I click here, there's no audio and I can select the audio from the second one, e.g. like a permanent a little bit. I can also remove it and I can select the audio from the first one. Well, so what I wanna do now is that I'm going to leave the audio of the first one and I'm going to come back. And here we have our clip. And now if we go over here to view, we can click on it and we can click on this one angles. So now we're able to see both videos that are inside this clip. And this is where the fun part starts. E.g. I. Can start playing this. I'm going to sample this. And the moment I click on the second one, everything is going to change. So right here, we now make a cut and what comes after is the other video, the second video. So I can start e.g. playing it and my hair. And if I want to go back to the other one, I click on the top one. And now the video is going to be related to this one. And then I can click on this one. And now it's the other one. If I zoom in, We start with my face video. I'm just going to remove also the angles so that you can see it. Well. We start with my face video. Then we have this screen recording here, it's a little bit worse. So now phase video tools and a screen recording once again. So this is basically if you have lots of cameras shooting at the same thing, you can start to do it this way, e.g. if you have a podcast and you have a camera pointing at one person, there, another camera at another person. And you have the audio for it. You can sync it this way where you can switch between one person to the other, one, to the other camera, then all of them using one audio. And one thing, e.g. if I select this one and then e.g. I. Remove my angles and I choose to move this one to the left. The one, the other clip right here doesn't have it, but this one will have it. And if I go back to the coding part, e.g. I. Can switch over to this one. And then at one point I want to switch back to this one. This one is also going to have this special effects. So once you e.g. you transform it, the other clips that are going to follow are also going to have the transform function. So if I move it rather to the left and I start cutting them again, let's go for the angles. Make a cut. Then I select this one, make another cut. It will keep the last transform option, but not on this one because we didn't apply it for this part. We only apply it for this one to the left and this was to the right. So you can play around with these features as well, which it can be very powerful if you want to do podcasts, where you want to do a YouTube video with multiple cameras and multiple angles. 81. Social Media Aspect Ratios: When it comes to making videos for different social media platforms, I recommend checking out the aspect ratio, e.g. here we have the aspect ratio for, for Facebook. And for this you can go over to facebook.com or just Google it. And here it tells you some of the recommended settings, e.g. for feed the recommended square one by one for images, four by 54 videos. So if you know, if you don't know how much this is, you can check it out on Google. So this one would be around 12,000 by 15,000. So we can go over to Final Cut Pro and start a new project. And here I'm going to call it Facebook. And on this one we can go over to the video section. And we can go over to cost them. Here. We can put that resolution. So we can type 12,200 by 1,500 and we can click on, Okay, so this one will give us this type of square. And here we can add our videos and put them on Facebook, but each platform might be different. E.g. here I have one from Instagram, and this will an Instagram recommends the nine by 16, which is the 1080 by 1920. So this one will look a little bit different. So let's check it out. Ten. By 1920, I think we have done this one before, which is basically the normal phone size. So each platform might be a little bit different. So there is something to also take into account. So make sure you check out what kind of aspect ratios will work on which platform. Because sometimes I post videos on Instagram and they look very good on Instagram. But once I put them on Facebook, they look a little bit different. So make sure you check out which aspect ratio works better on which platform. And also try experimenting. So maybe you put your video on Instagram and then traveling on Facebook and see what kind of differences you get. Because it tends to be a little bit different depending on which phone the person has. So sometimes it might not be the exact one. So e.g. this one, it tells me that the video size will look better at four by five. And in this case it says 1080 by 13, 50 for Facebook. So let's check this one out. Facebook. Two, Let's try custom setting. 1080 by 13, 50. Then, okay. This one kind of gives me a similar square as the other one. So this one looks like this. And it's a little bit similar from this one. So make sure you check out these settings because e.g. here, it says that this is the settings for a video post. But when it comes to Facebook stories, it uses the 1920s by 1080, which is the same one as Instagram. So on some platforms, you might find these issues where if you post something on Instagram, you will not look the same on Facebook. It will look the same on the Facebook stories, but it will not look the same on the video posts. So it could be, it's a little bit confusing, but make sure you check out the aspect ratios for the platform that you want to put it in. So my recommendation is the 1920 by 1084 stories. And for Instagram posts and for Facebook, you can try that 1080 by 13, 50. Or you can also try the 12,000 by 15,000 for normal Facebook posts. You might find yourself with different aspect ratios for different forms of videos, from posts to stories. That might be an issue that you might encounter. 82. Exporting: So now we're going to export our video. So to export a video, you can go over to the top right corner. And here you have different options. You can export it kind of like as a DVD. Or you can click on this one, which is the default option. So normally I always go for this one export file. You can also select this one Apple devices, but this one is 72 ATP to ADP or for k. And here you have some settings for YouTube and Facebook. Or you can click on this one, save current frame, which will just kinda like make a picture of whatever frame you're in. And if you went to other options, you can also click on this one, add destination. And you can basically create one yourself. So let's go for the most basic one, which is the export file. So we click on it and here we have the name of our file, e.g. I. Can call it the bike ride. And here we have the resolution 1920 by 108-02-0209 FPS frames per second. And we also have the time and the file type, which is MP4. And if we go over here to the settings, we can change some of the settings. E.g. we can click on this one, video and audio, but this one actually makes it much bigger. So this one basically makes them into a dot MOV file. And my video is now 313 mb. But if I select this one, the computer type, my video is much smaller and it's a dot mp4 file. So I personally like to select this one, the computer mode. And we can also select the video codec for faster encode or for better quality. So for this one I'm going to select better quality and the resolution. So since my video is 1920 by 1080, this one is going to be the highest resolution. So I'm gonna select this one and we can also select an action. So if you want that, once the export is done, you only want to save it. You can click on this one, or you can select to open with QuickTime Player. So I'm going to select it and I'm going to click on Next. So let's click on it. And then we can select where we want to export it to. So I'm just going to select this one, my politics channel. Just call it a bike ride. Then I can click on Save. And if you look on the top left corner, here, we can see the what's happening. So it's basically sharing the video and he's writing it. And it's going to export it quite fast. Well, it depends on your computer and how big your file is. So this one is just like 15 s, which is gonna be very fast. And once it's finished, we can see a preview. So I can play it. And you can basically see it right here. And my video had no audio, but I think it looks pretty good right here. So these are you export a video, but if you want to modify some of the settings, you can click on Add Destination. And from here you can select a different one, e.g. I'm going to select this one, the export file mode. And I'm going to click it right here. And from this one I can start to modify it. I can also change the name e.g. I. Can make this my e.g. my favorite settings and we can start to modify it. So I want him to be computer settings with the better quality mode. The resolution is going to be the highest resolution and open with QuickTime player at the end. So now if I add a new one every time I go back here, I can also select those settings, which is this one my favorite settings. So I can click on it. And now they are here by default, the computer better quality. And I selected the highest resolution, which means that since my video here is 1920 by 1080, this one is going to default to those settings. It's not going to go higher than that. So my default settings size shows like for k, body is basically going to default to the ones that your project is, which is this one. And from here I can just click on Next. So you can either select the default options or you can create your own kind of like settings for exporting your video. 83. Export Settings for faster YouTube Upload: So now we're going to look at some settings that are better for exporting your video to YouTube. So here we have our project, and if you go to that top side, here we have a few options. You can click on this one, which is for YouTube and Facebook. And it basically gives you like a video designed for YouTube or Facebook. And you can look at some of the settings right here. But this video is going to be a dot MOV file. And what I personally like to do is that I like to go over here and then click on this one export file. And from here I can change some of the settings. So if you're using this for the first time, you might have this one which is the video and audio function. But this one gives you a very, very large file. So this file is only like 22nd 17 s, what is 313 mb. So if you select this one, their video and audio format, you can look at some of these sources. E.g. you can change it to Apple ProRes 444, which is gonna give you a huge file, which is one gigabytes for only 17 s. But what I like to do instead is that I like to use this one. The H.264 and the H.264 makes it a 45 megabyte file. However, the H.264 file will give you a dot MOV file. And what I'd like to do instead is that I like to select a format as the computer format, which will also give you the H264, but it's going to make it a dot mp4 file. So from here we can change from faster encode to better quality. And the resolution, I'm just going to leave it like this, which is the normal resolution for my project. And from there I can just click on Next and then I can just save my video. So these ones are basically my favorite settings for exporting to YouTube. Or basically to just have the video itself. Because if you go for the default settings, you might get a huge file size. E.g. this one is 313, but it's just a seven-minute video. And if you have e.g. like a ten minute video is going to be a huge file. E.g. if I select one of my other videos, Let's try this one which is about 4 min, and let's export it. And let's select those settings. So if we leave it at the computer settings, it's only 727 mb. But if we select the video and audio, it's a five-point five file, which is huge to us. We're a video that's almost 5 min long. So you can imagine that we'd like a ten minute video is probably gonna be like a ten gigabyte file. So I recommend just putting it on computer and using this source, the H.264, better quality source. 84. Background Tasks & Render Files: So whenever you add a video into Final Cut Pro, that video might start to get rendered, e.g. this one, the files here are already rendered, but if I select one that I did a render before e.g. this one, you will notice this line right here. And this means that Final Cut Pro is rendering those files. And you can see it up here where it will tell you that those files are getting rendered Final Cut Pro Dustin so that you can see your video much more easily. But rendering might take a lot of space. E.g. if I go back to my video where I have the library file, which is this one, the Final Cut Pro X scores. You can see that my whole library is 560 gb. And if I want to go inside, I can click on this one. I can right-click and click show package contents. And from here I can see all of my events. And you can see that the one to ten is 2.5 gb. And if we go inside, you will notice this folder, which is the rendered files. And this folder is basically the big one is the one that has the 2.3 gb. So if I delete this folder and I move it to trash and I go back. The folder is now 13 mb. And this is because I deleted those rendered files. That Final Cut Pro kind of makes a copy. So if you don't want to render your files, you can go over to the task bar and click on Final Cut Pro. And then you can click on Preferences. And if you go over here to the playback section, you will have this one, which is the background rendering function. So right now I have it enabled, which means that every time I add a new video or something new to my Final Cut Pro, it will render that. In this case, I can just uncheck it. And if I go e.g. to another project, let's say this one. You will notice that I still have the line right here, but it's not rendering those files. So it's now no longer rendering these files, which might not give you the best viewing quality, but it's also not going to take a lot of space. So you can either choose to leave them on or off. So if you leave them off, it might save a lot of space. But if you leave them on, the playback quality might be a little bit better. So in this case, if you don't want them and you want to delete your render files, you can just go over to your file to basically the, to the main library. Or if you cannot find this file, you can just go over to the one that you want to your library over here. And then you can right-click on it and click on this one Reveal in Finder. And it will send you over to where that file is. So right now I have this one. And if I want to delete the render files, I can just right-click on it, click on show package contents, and you can just look on the right side and see which folder is taking a lot of space. E.g. let's see. This 131 to 40 has 400 mb. That's still a little, while. This 141 to 50 has 5 gb. So if I want to delete those render files, I can go inside. Then select this one and move it to trash. And if I go back, now, it's gone. But another way that you can do this is that I can either select my project and then I can go to file and I can click on this one, delete degenerated project files. And from here I can just select all of them if I want, or just delete the render files or delete the optimized media or whatever I want. So if I select all of them and then I click on Okay, My project is still there but it's not rendered. So now you can see this line appearing. Another way that you can do it is that you can select the whole event. So if you select the event, you can do the same thing. And now it will tell you to delete the event files because you're selecting the event. If you click on it, you get the same one. You can delete all of the render files, the unused ones or all of them, the optimized media, the proxy media. Or if you just want to get rid of everything all at once, you can just click on the whole library, then file and this one delete generated library files. And from here you can delete all of the render files. So this one will just delete it generated render files, but it's not going to delete the files right here. E.g. if I delete all of these, Let's select this one and I'm going to delete all of them. Let's see, I want to delete all of the render files. The optimized me that the proximity of these events 71 to 80, then I can click on it. Okay? And now when I come back, some of them do not have the image right here. But if you click on it, you will notice that now you have these lines right here. And Final Cut Pro is not rendering them because I turn off the auto rendering, the automatic rendering. But if I turn it on e.g. this one, you will now start to render this whole project. Right here. You can see it right here. And here, it will say that it's rendering on the background all of these files. So basically you can delete them and it will not affect e.g. much of your video. It will save you some space. And if you want them back, you can just either turn on the automatic rendering back on. But if you want to do this manually, e.g. you can always select all of your files and then go over to modify and click on this one, render all or just to render the selected part, e.g. if I only select these two, I can just click render the selection. And you will notice that they will start to see that the lines over here will start to disappear only for this particular section. And you can also select all of them and then click on Render all, but basically render the whole selection, which is the ones that you selected. And if you don't select any of them, you can just click on Render. That will also work too. And now I just clicked on it. So it's going to start rendering the whole project and use something important because all of your render files might start to eat up all of your space on your hard drive. So for that, it's also important to delete some of the generated render files so that you do not have a huge library that's taking up almost all of the space of your computer. 85. Save Cache Files in a Different Location: You can also change the location of some of your cache files. So e.g. you can select your library right here. And if you selected on the right side, you will have some of the library properties. But if you cannot find this one, you can just click on File and then click on this one. Library properties. So if you click on it, you can see this. And from here you can change some of these storage locations. So if you click on modify settings, here you have the median. And you can see that the media is located in the library files, which is my folder. And if you leave your mouse for a few seconds, you can see the place where it's at, e.g. this one is going to be on my Samsung T7 drive inside the Final Cut Pro course. And in library files. And I can also click on Choose. And from here you can also select a new destination for it. And another one is the motion content. So this one, I have it on the motion templates folder, which is inside my actual computer. And you can also move it over to the library if you want. You can also move around the cache, which in my case it's in the library, which is basically inside of kind of like this one. Final Cut Pro X scores, basically this library file and the backups, you can also change it, e.g. minus in Final Cut Pro backups, which is inside my computer and on my movies file. And from here you can also choose a different location for it. Or you can also choose not to save the backups. So this might be very useful if you don't want all of your files to be inside your computer, you can move them to a different location. So if you want to instead use an SSD drive, you can basically select them and move it over to the SSD drive. And that can be very useful as well. And you can also change the media, e.g. here I have them on the library files. You can also consolidate it and change it to a different location, e.g. inside the library. Or you can choose a specific location for them. 86. Backup Video Projects in Final Cut Pro: You can also make some backups of your library. So if you go over to your library and you click on it, then you go over to File and library properties. Basically this part on the right here we have the storage locations. So if you modify the settings, here we have the option for the backups. So right now my backups are going to this folder, which is called Final Cut backups. And he finally, if my mouse here for a few seconds, I can see the location of the folder, which is inside my computer on the movies folder. So if I go over and I look for it, I go to Finder. And then I go over to my movies section. I have it right here. Final Cut Pro backups, final code backups. So if I click on it, here we have some of my other libraries that I have done before. So if I click on this one, you can see some backups of my Final Cut Pro Library, and you can also see it by the date e.g. the latest backup was today at 04:41, 414 yesterday and all the way to September 11th. So you can also modify this folder. You can click on the backups and then you can choose a new folder for those backups. And something that you can also do is that if you go over to your file, you can click on Open Library and you can click on this one from backup. And from here you can select another time period, e.g. I. Can look at my library from September 11. Let's try this one. And here I can see the location which is inside my movies folder on my computer, not on my hard drive. So if I click on it and then I click on Open, Final Cut Pro will open that new library. Here we go. So we now have two libraries right here. The first one is the normal Final Cut Pro course. And you can see some of the details right here. So if you look at this one, Let's maybe make it a little bit bigger. Let's see here we can see the difference. This one is my original folder, which has 347 gb of storage because of the render files. But the top one only has 88 mb. So if I click on that top one, we can see that it has kinda like the same things, but it's basically a backup of the one that I had before, e.g. back then, I didn't do the videos 81-90. And I basically stopped at 71 to 80. And here it actually shows you those videos, e.g. if I click on it, I can see that I still didn't work on these videos. But if I go over to my original one, which is then I go over two. Let's look for the number 77. We click on it. You can see that it actually already edited this video, but I didn't edit. But it's not on the backup folder. So this is basically something that you can do if you really mess up on Final Cut Pro and you want to go back to a time period where you didn't mess up, you can always use a backup. So remember to go over to your storage locations, then you can select the folder where you want them to backup. Or if you don't want any backups, you can click on this one. Do not save backups. If you want to open them, you can, of course, look for this folder, which my mouse will tell you right here, which is on the movies section. And I can just go straight to it. Final Cut Pro trial. And I can just double-click and open it straight. E.g. if I double-click here, we will now have a third library. Okay? Here we go. We now have our third library right here. And you can see the differences by the names. Or the other thing you can do is to select your library right here. I can select this one, then go to File, Open Library, and then open from backup. And from here I can select the backup that I want. But the moment I click on cancel, it's actually going to open it. So I think that might be a small bug, that it's going to open it even if I click on Cancel or if I don't. So it's still opened it. So let's close the light, this library. And if you select one of your backups, e.g. this one, then you can click on File and then Open Library from backup. There's not gonna be any backups because you're trying to open a backup from the backup. So that one is not going to work. You have to select the library and then open the library from there. So this might be useful as well. 87. Recover and Relink Missing Files: Sometimes when you have some files, you might get an error that they are missing. So e.g. here, I'm going to add these videos over to my timeline. I just grab them and drag them there. Sometimes e.g. when you pass those videos over to another folder, they might disappear. Or when you e.g. remove the USB drive, they might disappear as well. E.g. if I create a new folder right here, I'm going to call it example. And I'm going to pass all of my videos and move them over to this folder. Now, they have disappeared because these files can no longer be found. And in order to find them, you can e.g. select one, let's say this one, the 216. And something that I can do is that I can go over to File and then click on this one, railing files. And I'm going to click on Original media. And here I have this file and I'm going to click on located selected. And after this I have to look for where my file is. So now it's in the example folder. And this one is the 216, so it should be this one. And then I click on Choose. And now you can see original file is this one and image file is this one. Then you can click on reading files. And there we go. Our file has now been linked. You can also do this for the other ones, e.g. in this case, you can select one, then hold the Command key, then look for the other ones while holding the command key so that you can select multiple ones. And you can look for the other videos that are also missing the file. So I'm going to select all of them. Then I'm going to click on file and reading files original media. Then I'm going to click on Locate all. And in this case you can just select one if you want. I'm just going to select this one, the 214. Then I click on Choose. And Final Cut Pro will automatically get the other ones as well. So you can see the original files and the match files. And now I can click on Files and my files are now back. If you ever get this error where one file is linked to Final Cut Pro at a specific file, e.g. Path. And then you move that file in your computer. And Final Cut Pro can no longer find it. You might have to do it this way to find that file again. But sometimes if you put your files in an SSD drive or an SD card and then you unplug the card, your files might go missing. But if you plug the card back in and then open and close Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Pro will automatically find them again. So you don't have to go through this once again, because once you put the file location back in, Final Cut, Pro will find them. 88. Original Media Folder: Something else that you can do is that you can either leave your files in place, where they are, or you can make a copy of that file and put it inside the library. So e.g. if I go over here and click on Final Cut Pro, then on preferences, I can have the import settings. If I click on Import, here we have these settings. So e.g. you can choose to copy those files inside the library. So Final Cut Pro is just going to make a copy of the original file and put it in the library, or you can choose to leave those files in place. I personally like to leave them in place because if you make a copy, you start to get a very big file library. So if I grab one of my videos, so this one I'm going to call it first video, and I drop it over to Final Cut Pro. I can look for this one, the first video inside my library. So for this one, I can go over to my library and then I can click on Reveal in Finder. Here we go. This one is my library. So now I can just right-click on it and click on show package contents. So now here we have the other events. The event that I want is this one called example videos. And I can click on it. And inside this event, I have two projects. One called example videos, which is this 1.1 called original media example, which is this one. And e.g. if I open them, I can see this event. But here we have another folder which is called original media. And every event has this folder, original media. And you can go in and you can see some of the files, but these files have only like 107 bytes. If I go back and I click on Preferences, and I add this one, copy to libraries storage location, and I allow it. It's going to import this over to this folder, which is called Final chord original media. And the reason I got this folder was because if I, if I go back to my library and I click on the storage locations, I kept this one which is media library files. Here, I have the location which is right on the library files folder. So if I click on Choose, it's going to be this one. This is basically the library file that it's making, the original media. And if I click in library, then I can click on. Okay. Let's see. Then I'm going to delete this one, the second video. And now I'm just going to kind of like make a duplicate of this one. And I'm just going to call it the third video, okay? And now I'm going to add this one, the third video inside. And now the third video is not going to be on this one, the original file delay, the original media file. Now it's going to be inside the library. So if I go to package contents, then I look for my example videos, and then I click on Original media. Here we have the third video, but this third video is actually the full one is a copy of it, is 193 mb this way, because it's inside the library as the original media. If I delete the third video from the original source, Let's move it to trash. Nothing is going to happen to it because this third video has the copy inside the library. So this is something that you can also do, but it's also something that might take up a lot of space. But if I delete this one, the third video from this part is going to stop working here. There's something also to take in mind, to keep in mind that this third video is going to be linked inside the library, inside the original media folder, because we selected where we want that original media to be at, right here on the media option. So this is something that you can do. You can choose to leave the files in place or you can choose to make a copy and put it inside a specific storage location where you can choose where you want the storage to be in. If you want it to be in a different folder, or if you want it to be inside the actual library. So the cell, so something to keep in mind because if you first start using Final Cut Pro and you leave the first option selected, which is the default option. Your library size might be huge if you have lots of videos because it's making a copy of all of your videos. But I personally like to leave the files in place. I'd like to select this one. But if you have enough space, you can also select the first one. But sometimes you might need to delete the files if you want to make more space. 89. Duplicate vs Snapshot Project: So here we have this project which I call my video. And if I right-click on it, I have three options. I can make a duplicate of this project. I can save it as, or I can make a snapshot. And the main difference between them is that if I make these two videos into a compound clip, and I'm just going to call it my video clip. So now both videos are into a compound clip. If I click on Duplicate project. And so now I kept my duplicated project. Let's rename this one to my video. Duplicate. If I go back to my video here, e.g. I. Delete, now I'm just going to hide. 90. Video and Audio Gear Recommendations: So now we have some of the gear recommendations for starting to make videos with Final Cut Pro. So my very first recommendation is to use your phone. If you're just starting out and you want to make some basic videos, your phone is a perfect tool for that. Most of the phones nowadays they have very decent cameras. And if you have e.g. an iPhone or a Samsung phone, you can get very decent quality video with them. And another recommendation, if you want to upgrade a little bit and you actually want a camera, the camera that I'm currently using is this one, the Sony see V1. This is a perfect camera for people that are just starting out and they want to start a YouTube channel, or they want to blog or become content creators. And another camera that you can use is the classic GoPro. Because go pros are excellent cameras if you want to go outside and make some videos outside, the go pros have excellent stabilisation. They'll get you some very good image quality. However, go pros tend to not look so good at nighttime. Or e.g. if you're inside your house and you want to use it as a studio camera, GoPro might not be the best one for that. The Sony TV one might be better for that. But go pros are excellent during the daytime. They have very good image quality and they have a lot of accessories that you can also put on. And e.g. you can put it on your neck and you can start walking around and people can see what you're doing. So this one is my other recommendation. And if you don't want to go pro, you can also try the DJ. Dj I is kind of like the competition for GoPro and take a very decent products, e.g. the DJI pocket to or the DJI action too. You can also get a gimbal for your phone. So if you have like an iPhone that has a very good camera, you can use the gimbal and it will look very stable with that. And now for the audio, if you want to start making videos, the audio quality is very important because people might forgive you if you have bad image quality, but they will not forgive you for bad audio. So I would say audio is one of the most important things for making videos. So some of my Microphone recommendations are the USB microphones that you can plug into your computer, e.g. here you have the blue D is a good brand for microphones. You can try this one or you can try even a smaller one, which is like the Blue Snowball. And the one that I am currently using is this one, the hyper x, what cast? And this one I think sounds very good and very good ratings because like 28,000 ratings. And it has a very good rating right here, almost five-stars. So this one is the microphone that I'm currently using, and another microphone that you can also get is a lavalier microphone. So these are the type of microphone. So you can plug into your shirt, that they go all the way to your phone. So these ones can get you a very good clear voice and it's not so noticeable. So this one would be my other recommendation. And these ones, you can also plug it into your phone or plug it into camera. And you can also try one of these microphones, DSR point and shoot microphones. And this one is you can connect them to your camera and it's going to improve the camera audio. So some of the best ones are the road e.g. the road video Mike. So I would recommend going for one of these ones. However, if you have a GoPro camera, you will need to put on an adapter. So you can use this adapter in order to have the microphone. I know the recommendation is to get a good SD card. So the one I'm currently using is this one, the SanDisk Extreme PRO. And I recommend getting one from a good brand and not get a fake one because the fake ones might break and you will use all of your information. And if you get one leg, e.g. like these ones, these ones have a very high reading speed, so it will be easier for you to transfer your files. And it's much better to get one from a good brand and not get a cheap fake one. So you can go e.g. for as Samsung or for a SanDisk one. And another thing you might need for making videos is a USB as the card adapter. So e.g. you take your video and now you have to put it into your computer. So you might need an adapter for that. So when Amazon, there's many adapters, you can look for the one you want. And the one I'm currently using is one that looks like this one on the picture. So this one you can just connect many USB devices. And he also has the option for your SD cards. And he also has an HDMI output. And you can just connect it straight to your MacBook and it works quite well. And another one that you might need is an SSD card because Final Cut Pro has very large files. So sometimes I recommend putting the file library inside an SSD card. And you can start editing straight from the SSD card. Because if you put all of the final code profiles in your computer, Final Cut Pro can start eating all of your memory very, very fast. So for that, I recommend using an SSD card to edit your videos from it. And once your videos are finished, I recommend getting an external hard drive. So you can get like a four terabyte hard drive for $100. And you can put all of your finished projects so you can put all of your raw files into this hard drive once you finish your project. And another recommendation is to get a tripod for your phone or your camera. So you can find many types of tripods online. And there will be very useful when you start to make videos. So you can find one if you want to make videos with your phone, find one with the phone adapter. And my last recommendation is to get a gimbal. So if you're outside and you have your camera and you move it a lot, you might notice that the quality is not as good as you expect. So for that, I recommend using a gimbal because the gimbal can stabilize your footage and it will make it look even better. You can also get a gimbal for your phone or for your camera. So these are some of the most basic recommendations that I have for some of the gear that you might need now or in the future once you start to become better at making your videos. So that's it for this one. Thanks for watching. 91. Lightning and Background Gear Recommendations: Besides your camera and your microphone gear, something very important is also to have very good lightning. Because if you don't have good lightening, the quality of your image might not be very good. For that. I have a few recommendations. The first one is to get some studio lights. But if you don't want to spend too much money on studio lights, you can go for some of these ring lights e.g. I'm using to ring lights and this is how the image quality looks like. And the ring lights can be very cheap. So this is a perfect option for somebody that's just starting out making videos. And you want something easy, something small and cheap. And you start to become very, very good at making videos. You can also go for the old studio lights if you have the space and you have the money for them. Another recommendation that you might find very useful is to use a green screen. So currently I'm using a green screen, so it makes your background look even better. And if n Final Cut Pro has a very easy function that you can change the green screen and put whatever background that you want. E.g. I. Can just change and change and change and change. So this is my other recommendation. And make sure you look at the green screen sizes because not all of them are going to be the same size. If you want to get a green screen, I also recommend getting the green-screen stand. So if you buy a green screen and it doesn't come with a stand included, you might need to buy it separately. So I'm currently also using a green screen stand. And the one I have is kind of similar to this one right here. So those are my other two important recommendations that you might also find useful. 92. Thanks: I wanted to congratulate you for finishing this course. It's quite a long course. So I hope that your video editing skills have improved. And if you have any questions or any suggestions, or maybe you want me to do other videos on more specific topics. You can always let me know and I'll be happy to reply to your messages and maybe make some other videos. So that's it for this one. And as always, thanks for watching.
