now where I'm singing on a cruise ship had
been using this idea of Mindful Life Design
since I was 20 years old. And trust me, when I say that he just brought me
so much join my life. I've had incredible experiences
throughout my life, like being a national radio
hosts, a jazz singer. I was a record representative for a major record
label for awhile. I've even been a
Buddhist monk and an Amazon bestselling author for my book, How to, hey guys. And now I'm traveling the world. I'm speaking at
events and singing. I've even had the honor of performing for royalty
once upon a time. And it all came from
mindful Life Design. So in this course, we're going to walk you
through four simple steps that will help you discover
your own mindful life. We'll delve into your
values, your goals, and how you can make your dreams a reality. And guess what? Mindfulness is the key tool that will help you stay
focused and on track. Throughout this
course, we'll explore mindfulness and

emotions, and actions. By the end, you'll have a very Crystal Clean
vision of what you want in life and how
you can make it happen. So get ready to dive in deep and discover what you're
truly capable of. I'm here to help guide you
every step of the way. Let's embark on this
journey together
2. Step One: Discover Your Values: Well hey there and
welcome to step One, Discovering Your Values. So why a Mindful Life Design? Well, the reason might
be best described in this poem that's written by an ancient Sanskrit
scholar named Khalid is. It's a poem that reminds
us to really just embrace this moment for its essence
where life really happened. The poem goes, look to
this day for it as life. The very life of life. In its brief course lie all the berries and
realities of your existence. The bliss of growth,
the glory of action, and the splendor
of beauty for it. Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision. But today, well lived, makes every yesterday a
dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision
of hope look well. Therefore, to this day, such as the salutation
of the dog. You want to live
a life like that, don't you? Most people do. So in this first step, we're going to talk about
how your values play a big role in designing
the life you want to live. Today, we'll go through
some exercises to help you get in touch with what
really matters to you. Your values are the
things that are the most important to
you in your life. There the principles and
beliefs really that guide you and your thoughts and
actions and decisions. When you're in touch
with your values, your much more likely to feel fulfilled and content and less likely to feel
lost and aimless. So do you know your values? Well, of course you do, but you might not know the
names for your values. You probably have
a good gut feeling for what your values are. But when you find out
what their names are, that's when they become
really life-changing. Living life through your own
personal values is kinda like wearing a
tailored suit that fits you absolutely perfectly. And that means making some choices and taking
actions that align with who you are as an
individual when you live life according
to your values, you feel confident and
comfortable and authentic. So take time to explore and
clarify what your values are. Don't be afraid to make
some choices and take actions that are
true to who you are. Because in the end,
you'll feel like you're just wearing a suit
that fits perfectly. And you'll radiate
that confidence and authenticity to the
world around you. Discovering and understanding
your values is a rare, an important aspect of life. And many people go
through life without ever taking the time to identify what truly
matters to them. It might feel like
they have some sort of a sense of emptiness
or lack direction, but they're not really sure why. However, when you take the time to clarify
what your values are, you're giving yourself
a really powerful tool to guide your life. So this exercise only
takes a few minutes, but it really can impact
your life powerfully. Your values and the
principles that define who you are
and what you stand for are the foundation
upon which you can build a life of purpose and
fulfillment when you live your life
under your values, your living authentically
and true to yourself. So take time to explore your values and discover
what truly matters to you. That journey is well-worth it. But how do you identify
what your values are? Well, that's what
we're going to do. In this step. Download the Mindful
Life Design workbook from the resources
section below, go through exercise number one is called
Discover Your Values. Your values will be broken
down into four key categories. Personal Growth,
relationships and community, career and success, and
well-being and Lifestyle. Just follow the prompts to help you uncover
your core values. By the end of this step, you'll have a clear
understanding of what you value
most in life and how your values can guide
your decisions and actions. This is really a crucial step in a Mindful each designed
life that you want. So let's get started.

3. Step Two: Define Your Smart Goals: Hello and welcome back
to Mindful Life Design. This time I'm in
Scotland, Norway, and it's a beautiful
forest that I've found to teach this class. And I hope you're excited about
more mindful Life Design. In this section, we're
going to be diving into the world of Smart Goals. The Smart Goals are much
more than just an acronym. In fact, they hold incredibly
powerful methodology for you to be mindful
and sticking to the plans that you've laid out for yourself and your life. And you see yourself
living these plans. Remember, Smart means
specific, measurable, achievable, relevant,
and time-bound. Smart Goals help you
make positive progress. They factor in your values
and dreams and aim you towards doing all the
things that matter to you in life and
take it from me. I've been setting smart goals
my entire life for myself, even back in high school, I remember that I was laying out a path of goals that we're
constantly pushing me forward. For example, I aimed at becoming the school president for
our student council. And while it felt like
a bit of a stretch, I knew deep down that
it was achievable. And guess what? With a lot of hard work and some FUN and a lot
of help from others. It happened. And that was my real first
lesson in the power of setting smart goals
and going after them. So how about we just
break down Smart Goals? And then you can set
some Smart Goals of your own in the workbook. First, up, for a smart goal, you have to be specific. When you set a specific goal, your laser-focused specific
goals need to have names, like write an e-book or do a TED talk or design a
jacket for a fashion show. Setting specific goals
is not only important, it's essential because
specific goals ensure that you have progress, even if it's just a
little bit at a time, accomplishing one specific
goal at a time adds up. And in no time at all, you'll have a list of all these amazing things that you've accomplished that is like gold. So what specific
goals do you have? Is it to have maybe
an exhibition at an Art gallery that features
12 of your paintings. Or maybe it's to open up an online arts store and
branded under your name. Specific goals or
the spark that get your actions started
so that you can achieve what you're
excited about and life. So no more wandering around. You've got your
goal turned on with your GPS and it's guiding you straight to your
heart's desire. Secondly, make sure that
your goals are measurable. Okay? So you've set your
specific goal, but how do you know
how far you've come or how far you have to go to
get that goal achieved. And that's where
Measurable comes in. Every goal has
steps to it, right? So those steps are going to
help you see progress and guide you towards the next steps to make your goals happen. It helps you keep track of your journey and
gives you some sort of a sweet sense of achievement
as you see your progress. Next in line, your goals
need to be achievable. Now, we're all for dreaming big, but your goals also need
to be within reach, so keep it in what's known
as the Goldilocks zone. Not too easy, not too
hard, but just right. Remember, every
little step adds up. When you set goals, you're motivated about
hammering them out. Your confidence is rock
solid and an achievable goal ensures that you stay focused and concentrated on
getting it done. And best of all, an
achievable goal helps you be less anxious and
stressed out about life. It sets you up for success next than Your Smart
Goals is to be relevant. So make sure your goals align up with your
values and dreams. Be careful that you're
planning something within your own area of brilliance. Make sure you're
sticking to doing what you're good at and
what you love to do. You don't need to chase
someone else's dream. Your goals should be about you and what you genuinely want. And last, make sure your
goals are time-bound. Your goals need
to be time-bound. This is not only the most
important tip in Smart Goals, it's the guarantee for you to actually make
progress in life. You'll live mindfully by having a goal that is
actually time-bound. You have a deadline, you
have a finished line, just like an erase, you
need a finished line. You've no doubt had
good intentions of doing amazing
things in the past, but somehow just didn't
get around to it. The great jazz musician Duke
Ellington would often say, Don't give me a project to do, give me a deadline. And that has become the
single most powerful way that I use to accomplish
my own mindful life. Knowing that you have
a timeline keeps you motivated to smash out victory. With Smart Goals, you are
the architect of Your Life, designing it in the
way that you want. It's all about being specific,
measuring your progress, and making sure that your
goals are achievable and relevant and keeping
an eye on the time. So get ready to be
surprised at how much you can achieve
with this strategy. Turn your dreams into
reality was Smart Goals. Now, go to your workbook and go through the section
called Define your goals. You'll be tasked with
setting up some Smart Goals you've your own that resonate
with you and your dreams. I can't stress enough how
important it is to be specific in your goals
and the set a deadline. Choose a goal that is highly
specific and set a deadline. For example, if
you're an artist, your smart goal might
look like this. Something specific like
finished painting, a large landscape painting. The measurable aspect of that is that the canvas has to be 3 ft by 4 ft wide, achievable. This artist has painted
landscapes before. The relevant part would
be that the artist enjoys landscape painting and wants
to work on bigger pieces. And time-bound might be, complete this piece
in two months. You get it. So it's time to set some
smart goals for yourself. Though, do the work
and the workbook that you've downloaded from
the resources section. We'll see you in
the next section.
4. Step Three: Develop Mindful Habits : Welcome to step three of the
Mindful Life Design course. Today, I'm coming to
you from Hodgson, Norway down on the pier. All the boats who wrote, the sun is shining the
water still, quite lovely. Today, we're going
to explore how Mindful Habits can
really shape your life. And mindfulness is
not just a buzzword, It's a reminder to
strive and to build a life that's genuinely
reflective of who you are. Mindfulness is about
presence and purpose. And like anything worthwhile, it requires Habits that you
can rely on for Growth. This section is
about integrating mindfulness practices with intentional life
planning and design. It's about creating a
life that is in alignment with your core values
and beliefs and goals. And that means continuous growth rather than some
fixed end point. Mindful Life Design sees
life as an evolving journey. It encourages you to
always do things like have continuous learning and
reflection and adaptation. This is going to
allow you to grow and change along with
your circumstances. Mindful Life Design is
about creating a life that resonates with who
you are at your core. Fostering a deep connection
with yourself and others and the whole
world around you. It's a process that
encourages you to reflect on what truly matters and make deliberate choices and
live with intention, whether applied to your
personal development, your career planning
relationships, or other aspects of your life. This approach can lead
to a more balanced, fulfilled, and
meaningful existence. To do this, you'll need to
develop some key Habits. Some of these Habits couldn't include setting
intentional goals. So let go of external pressures, align your goals with
your inner values. We've already talked
about that right? Next, visualize your success. This is a habit that I highly recommend because
this allows you to imagine the journey and
the steps and the hurdles, as well as the triumph,
practice, acceptance. Life's imperfections
are inevitable. This will not be
a straight road. So embrace the journey
and learn as you go. In addition to everything else, regularly reflect
on your progress. Assess your Growth and
view your imagination, seeing and feeling your progress is paramount in your success. And if you can meditate
on your goals, visualization and belief in your path can be
very, very powerful. Meditation helps
remember life's essence is not just about
the destination, it's about the growth and make connections and the join
each little small victory. Overcoming obstacles. Challenges are
definitely going to be a part of life's landscape. And that doesn't mean that
they have to deter us though. So here are a few things
to keep in mind about the inevitable obstacles that
will appear in your way. You will feel lack
of motivation. You're going to feel
unmotivated sometimes, maybe even every day. But as part of being human, give yourself compassion though. But then remember to visualize the life that
you want to aspire to. You'll probably want to
procrastinate sometimes. I'll do it tomorrow.
There's a famous phrase. It's their favorite
excuse, isn't it? But do maybe a little
something today. Break your tasks down
into manageable parts. Small steps can lead to
significant progress. You're going to
feel distractions like Instagram and TikTok, Facebook, friends and family are all just part
of life, right? But don't let your distractions keep you from having
your Mindful Life. Create a focused
environments so that you can have success when you want to. Your surroundings can
either hinder or help. Then there's the
good old setbacks. Each of those stumble
is a lesson to learn, adjust and continue,
be resilient, and get wiser along the way. This path of Mindful Habits requires dedication
and honest effort, but the rewards are so
profound you'll find yourself living
more intentionally and more connected
to your aspirations. So now, go to the workbook and dive into
exercise number three. It's called Develop
your Mindful Habits and prepare to experience
your transformation.
5. Step Four: Take Action: And we're already at step Four, Take Action and
measure progress. Action is the foundational
key to all Success. Pablo Picasso said that
and think about how prolific he was and he
was absolutely right. Taking action is the
most important aspect of living a meaningful life
of Clarity and Success. It's easy to get stuck
in analysis paralysis, where we spend so much time
thinking about our goals and plans and we forget to actually
do something about them. But the truth is, progress only comes
from taking action. And that action doesn't
have to be perfect, doesn't even have to be
fully formed sometimes. Sometimes it's just about taking one small step in the
direction of your dreams. The key is to keep
moving forward. Even when you're not really too sure exactly where
you're headed. It's in the doing the
taking of action that we learn the most about ourselves
and our true desires. So don't be afraid to take that first step no
matter how small it might be in order to live on mindful Life of
Clarity and Success, action is the most
important ingredient. It's not enough to just simply
have vision or set goals. We must take action
towards them. Action requires
vulnerability though, and courage and willingness to embrace discomfort
and uncertainty. It means you have to step outside of your comfort
zones and take risks. But it's only through
action that we can create the life that
we truly desire. Action helps us gain
clarity and build momentum, and it helps us
achieve our goals. It's easy to be
held back by fear, but just remember that
action is what separates those who achieve their dreams from those who only
dream about them. So let's take inspired
action toward our goals and measure progress based on our gut, happiness
and fulfillment. Remember that every step that
we take brings us closer to a life that brings true
meaning and fulfillment. Well, congratulations
on completing the Mindful Life Design course. I hope that you've gained
some valuable insights and tools to help you create a life of Clarity and Success. Hopefully it's aligned with
your values and your goals. Remember, mindfulness is
not a onetime practice. It's a lifelong journey of
self-discovery and growth. So it takes time, effort and commitment to Develop Mindful Habits and to take
action towards goals. But when you do this, you can create a life that is really meaningful
and fulfilling. So keep cultivating mindfulness,
keep taking action, and keep measuring your
progress based on your gut, especially and your
happiness and fulfillment. And more importantly, remember to be kind and compassionate towards yourself as you navigate the Ups
and downs of life. You got this. Hey, if you'd like to learn more about living your purpose, make sure you take one
