1. Introduction: Hello, if we haven't met before, my name is Victor and welcome to this course where we're going to be talking about growing your brand on Tiktok through the use of trending content. As most of you know, TED Talk is essentially it runs on trending content. And many accounts have blown up overnight based on following really powerful and really fast growing trends. So excited to share this process with you. This is a follow-up course to a previous one that I did, which was more theory based around spotting trends. This is going to be more doing that following that process in practice, majority is going to be screen-sharing where I'm going to take you into my iPhone and into my Tiktok apps. And we're gonna be looking at five examples of different trends that you can follow a little bit about me. I currently run two separate TikTok accounts with a combined following of nearly 0.5 million into different niches. So although I cannot call myself a Tech Talk growth guru, I do have some experienced stick around. I hope you enjoy the course and I hope that I can teach at least one other person watching this video to be able to.
2. Class Project: Hello again. So our project for this course, if I can ask you to upload anywhere from two to three different trends that you're able spot on tiktok using the methods that I have mentioned within this course, you can use a simple Notepad. You can use a Word document or pages if you're an apple, whatever works for you underneath each individual trend, if you can just explain for me just in a few simple lines, how you determine that this was a growing trend. And what characteristics did you see that highlighted that this is a trend. It needs to be specific TO niche as well. Appreciated if you were to upload that within the project section.
3. Course Expectations: I cannot promise any specific financial gains or any specific follower numbers as a result of following this process that I'm about to take you through. This is more of a process on how to spot training content and how to study that content very, very briefly and decide whether this is a trend that you can jump on. This entirely depends on, first of all, you, how you use the trend if you do decide to use it. And of course, other factors are our outside our control such as detector, algorithm and how that side of it decides to take your content forward. I can only promise that this is based on my own personal experience and I'm very excited to share this process with you.
4. How TikTok Shows You Trending Content: Very important to know. So Tiktok is able to show you trends in two ways basically. So there is the Explorer page, which is where TikTok will show you the most trending hashtags, like for example, the ones I'm looking at right now is electronic music boilers. There's the unfold challenge and a number of other different ones. Now, another way that Tiktok shows you trends is by sending you updates, weekly updates let you know what this week's hottest trends or have been. Now, in this video, we are going to focus on spotting trends or finding trends in a different way. Yes, these are good ways to find trends on the Explorer page and on the updates that TikTok themselves saying send you. However, in my personal experience or the space on my experience, I've not really found a much success with the trends are on the Explorer page. You might have had a different experience. I'm not too sure. But a lot of the time I tend to find that they are more dated than I would like that they've been out there for a while more than I would like. I always give that a try. Make the most of the ones that are on your explorer page and make the most of the ones that are mentioned on the weekly updates that TikTok sentence.
5. Case Study 1: Characteristics Of A Growing Trend : Okay, So just to mention as well, the aim of going through these examples, we're not exactly going to play through the entire video for a number of reasons. One of them being that these are using copyrighted material a lot of the time. But what we're interested in is the characteristic of trending videos. We'll look in at the numbers we doing comparisons this and that we're not really going to be playing through the entire videos. Constraints are going to be different, right? The ones that you are going to be looking at are going to be potentially different to the ones that I'm looking at right now because they change all the time. So I'm not interested in what the exact trend is, but we're looking to find out how to spot the trends and trending content in future. But yeah, let's jump straight into it. So here's example number 1. Pause it there. So mama call or mama calls. So 2.6 million likes on this post. They posted this not long ago, this was only one day ago. And if you click on to their profile name and look at their account. So what we're looking for is the average, just get a rough idea of what average views they normally get straight away. I can see they normally get maybe a hundred thousand a hundred and fifty thousand or so on average. All of a sudden they posted this and they managed to get 12.3 million likes merely a day ago. So clearly something is up with this sound that they're using is either going to be the sound, is, could be the effect that they're using. I doubt screen screen because it's been out for a while. But it could be the sound, could be they fact, it could be the post type that they using, or it could be one of the hashtags that they're using that's causing them to trend. And that's what you're looking for, for your account. And you want to manipulate and use whatever aspect that is trending, whether it's a sound hashtag, piece of content or effect. And see if you can make the most of some of that traffic as well. Now, I appreciate this as a slightly larger account for all 2k followers. However, the principle, the same principle applies to smaller accounts as well. Let's jump onto.
6. Case Study 2: The “Would They Know” Trend: So second example, we have, I'm six foot 7852 k. Likes on this video, click on the username. The video was posted four days ago. Now if I click on the username, had guessed that it's a fairly new account without looking at all the detail. But they usually average thousands of views, normally under 10 K. But now all of a sudden four days ago, one post 4.5 million likes. So again, you want to be looking at what our site off this is causing them to blow up. Is that the sound? Is it the post type? There is no effect, so we can't be the effect. What's going on exactly is that the hashtag, What's happening? What about this is causing it to be going viral. And you want to click on the sound. And you want to investigate other posts that are underneath that. Look at the accounts and see the size of the accounts, how they're performing, how recently they posted under this sound and get an idea of how much traction accounts are getting and what size accounts are being recognized. More, ideally, you want it to be smaller accounts that have posted recently that are getting more exposure because you want exposure now, right? You want Greece, like exposure. After you've posted a day or two to get that instant feedback letting you know that this is working. So that's what you're looking for. What you don't want to do, what is called Add to Favorites. You want to add two favorite, and that'll save the sound. And next time, you upload a new video, create a new video. You'll have an option to add that sound under your favorite sounds. Alternatively, you can just click on Use this sandwich you can see at the bottom there. And once you do that, you can then create a new video yourself using that sound and thereby recreating this trend in one way or another. Nothing on to example number three.
7. Case Study 3: The “Me Ordering Five Guys” Trend: So I'm going to pause that straight away. Again. We've got CMAC 12th, 87 here. If I click on the username, he's got 5.3. K follows on his account, usually get hundreds of views. Doesn't seem like an data that account, um, it seems like a fairly new one, but usually gets less than even 1000 views on average. But all of a sudden he's got 323 K views on this one post. Obviously something is up with post. Now shared bunch of times like the bunch of times to 9.3. K likes what is up with it again, we don't see an effect so highly unlikely that it's an effect, but we can see a good sign there that was posted only a day or a day ago. It's a small account. If you click on the sound and investigate that further, what's going on exactly? The first post. Okay. Another one that's absolutely kicking off. Only five days ago she posted it's 77. Kay? Likes. If I click on the username, again, fairly new account, fairly small account there, 2.4 K followers. So that is a good sign within the space of a week, She's gotten 300 and tree more than 20 K. Plays on this video inch normally gets less than even. I don't know, 50 K for occasional average. So the something upward the sound of the algorithm is liking and you want to hop on that. As soon as you can remember, this needs to be tied to your own niche as well. If your comedy, you could be able to use this particular trend. But if you're not, if your magic, if you something different, if he gaming, the trends might be different and the sounds might be different within your niche. So although you can use the same principle, the same approach in finding what works within your niche. You don't necessarily use exactly these same trends then I not work because the algorithm will go and find people that have responded well to this sound within that niche. And if gaming people have not responded well to this sound, it's highly unlikely that they're going to push your content forward based on using this trending sound post hashtag or effect. Example number.
8. Case Study 4: The “Coughing Sound” Trend: So if we look at this one, got underscore the Gita, say for k likes, click on the username to 0.9 K followers. So not a huge account. The only posted best one day ago, 24 hours ago literally. And they've got a 137 key point to likes, sorry, views, which is huge for a small account again, same as before. You started to get the gist of it. Now you click on the sound. Check other accounts that are posting underneath that. The size of their accounts, how well they've done underneath this sound kinda gone through one or two, maybe three or four. And you'll get an idea of whether it's something you can take advantage of or not. So again, that's simple. You add it to favorites if you are using it. And you use this sound.
9. Case Study 5: The “Future1zz” Trend: I want to call it 5.1 because there's two accounts I want to show you under this particular example is a bigger one and a slightly smaller one. This bigger one, stretch underscore pad. So they posted this not long ago that they posted it two days ago. And they got 377 K likes, which is huge. On TikTok, it does get bigger than this, but obviously that's significant. They've got an effect. So you might want to explore the effect. Other people posting this effect and getting traction recently, maybe checked two or three accounts or military posts. And you might want to check the sound. Is there many people posting under the sound recently gained more views than they normally would get. And a lot of the time, you'll find that there definitely is. And that's where you can pick up on the post characteristics and those little points as we've been looking at and decide whether you want to hop on that trend straight away. You add the sound to favorite again, if it is the sound or you use the sound straight away. If you've got an idea of what you're going to be posting underneath that sound. So the other smaller account I wanted to show you is the one that we're looking at currently he's got, he's got 204 K followers. But the example of the smaller account is this one right here. Nick, the annuity Underscore fit. He only posted this three days ago. Nearly two hundred and three hundred K likes and is a current is only positive, is account is 50.4 K followers. And the only recently posted this has got 2.2 million views on that post, which as you can see, is not normal. They average is on his views in normally averages much less than that. So again, I hope you guys have learned and picked up a few tips here. If we come across posts like this, these are trending posts, sound effects or hashtags. And this is what you can take advantage of in order to grow your brand on TikTok. How are found these quite simple. I literally just scroll through my For You page for about 20 to 25 minutes and I came across all of these. You can actually personalize your For You page as well. Just swipe left or right on things that you don't like, on continent you don't like and just double down on what you like. You can re-watch it, you can double-tap it and the algorithm is going to save, serve you more of that content to save you the time.
10. Closing Thoughts : Closing thoughts. I hope you enjoyed this course. I hope you've taken something away from this course.
