About This Class

Hello there,

Thanks for visiting my course!!

The aim of this tutorial is to give those individuals that have recognised within themselves that there is a real need to gain the tools in order to be able to choose the right clothes that speak to them as an individual, and in their own particular style language.

What is Style Language I hear you ask?

We are all drawn to things that resonate with us at our core, and are therefore a vibrational match to them. We know this simply by the way the thing makes us feel, does it fill you with joy, uplift your spirit and gives you life? This is more than likely a vibrational match. Or does it do the opposite? Does it make you feel nothing, or indifferent or even down? More than not, it isn't a match. The same applies to our wardrobe, the things we wear can also affect us in the same way, Therefore it is important for us all to know how to recognise what aligns with us, and as a consequence, we can really formulate a concrete idea of what is our style and what is it saying.

I have wonderful skills that I'd love to share with you all. And I'm certain my insides, inspiration, observations such as ways to feel competent. And at one with your style choices. Being able to delve into your own creativity. And allow when you're in a stylist to have a platform to express itself. Also, that's another thing I will teach you. And of course, any other thing that I pass anything will attribute to have in the lifestyle you want. As you will find that on my various courses. And other thing I will mention my take, my personal take on what drives us as individuals to make the choices we do may seem slightly different to many teachers because I'm also an advocate of well-being, meditation and anything that adds to my spiritual curve. Therefore, I'm a practitioner of Babel. So you might sense that this, that there is an additional level of guidance at play. So please do come along and continue on this tutorial, which will give you the keys to discovering your own individual style language, gives you the competence to express yourself, however you choose, as well as learning new supportive ways that will help you to have the lifestyle you want to create. Therefore, I look forward to seeing you in the next section. 2. The Will To Curate Your Wardrobe: So let's start by saying, we are not the clothes that we wear and integrate a schema things close. One of the few things we all require to be accepted into society as a whole. They don't have to be. Stylus if you don't choose for them to be. Or a mode of self-expression is also lay down to each individual. However, if there is a desire within you to express your own individuality for your clothes. It's essential that, you know, this expression comes from new and it's your own personal expression. What we were, without any doubt is a form of nonverbal communication. And can be the difference between, say, I spin deemed the right person for a job. Because simply how put together we look at an element of confidence to maybe your potential employer. It can help you to feel more successful and happier within, on a daily basis. It can even transform yourself. I'm quite instantly, if you're wearing a particular pair of shoes, for instance, that lifts your spirits and makes you feel a bit empowered. We do tend to look at people in the things that they wear as an extension of who they are. Therefore, it can basically be that one thing that precedes you if you don't take your clothes or how you look into account. So to have the right water that speaks to the world in your own way is and can be an ANCA, thing. Because as we know, we don't stay the same as people. We evolve throughout our life. And with that process, I will drop should also do so. 3. Embracing A New Mindset: So we've determined so far that in order to have that wardrobe of our desire, we have to move to a times fine. Embrace our evolution. And of course, might include lose in the kind of attachments we have four items, we have more for a long time that might keep them because they may hold sentimental value. Or we might think one day we'll wear a mechanic or even in them again. There can be many reasons why we hold onto these items. However, we're going to have to make some very hard choices when we're trying to create new trustee changes, including a new water. Ever be easy, of course. But like most things, when our new desire outweighs our attachments to old things, old beliefs, old closed over lifestyle, anything anyone knew desire outweighs field. Will we then make the changes to unneeded? So let's see, does your new desire to be familiar with your star language and have the water that you have to decide or to serve outweigh your attachment to the old clothes that you haven't worn for ages? Ask yourself that question is very important. You have to challenge yourself. I'm certain you won't regret. During this course, I aim to get you as familiar as possible yourself what you like. And this would also include reacquaint in the South with your body as a whole. So we're going to determine what body type we have, what is best suited for that body type. You will also have the opportunity to measure your time mentioned so that you can really be at one with how you look and what your body is as the extends in the present. We are all made differently. And I definitely believe was done by design. It's what makes us all beautiful in our own way. So that is what we should be celebrating. It's time to celebrate your steps. We all know as we get older, our bodies to change so there's no need to fill any particular way about anything that's taking place. What body type we are presently, is all part of the stitch, any part of the process that should eventually get us to that place where we have unconditional self-love within us for every element of us. Because in truth, we've all more than likely have come through many trials and tribulations. And really she celebrate the fact that we have come a long way and should accept basically every aspect of who we are. But of course, if there's things that are actually in your power to change when you want to change them. And that's okay to take small steps towards them without giving yourself any added pressure. 4. Let's Look At Our Style Language: So it's now come to your awareness that you may not have been your own cheerleader and the path, simply because you might not have given enough attention to get into that side of you in order to, to know what you like and what kind of message you want it to convey every morning when you are getting your close together. What did you want to send out to the world? But with this new-found knowledge, take a deep breath to start with, and endeavor to do the best you can in the future. To show up for yourself. Without letting that in. Sabotage and voice that we all have. Takeover. You'll wonder who that inner voices. You know, that voice that says things like, I can't do, prefer to trust up. When you're going somewhere really nice way you should actually make the effort. All of that voice that says, Many going to the supermarket. So you buy, just grab the first thing and fro on an old the jumper and not think about it. Yes, that voice is a real sabotage. Hey, after me, it's okay for me to wear something nice to pop to the sharps or something nice to pop into your fears. The same goes for any situations such as doing a scorer or any other situation you might be normal when all moved into a new norm where there are potentially less opportunity for us to showcase our garments. So these are becoming the best opportunities to challenge yourself and really make the effort to, to look good and to feel great about yourself and your physician in the world. Now we're not necessarily talking about a ballgame for the School of RAM. But there is a particular star language for every occasion and for every individual to, and it speaks to us all in different dialects. So what dialect is you're speaking to you? And what is it saying to you? Have you in the past always chosen comfort and style. But your true star language is saying some fit more like, I really like feminists shapes to emphasize my ways. My bad on my clip. Breast area. Emphasizing these areas makes me feel really empowered. Is that you or are you the opposite? Could it be the case where short skirts have always been your go-to outfit. But your true style language that gets she fired up is power dressed in suits. Or 26? These are the kind of questions we will be able to answer confidently by the end of this course without a moment of hesitation. This is where a lot of my clients, to get stuck. They may not ever really looked at the reasons why data to OT in like a particular style. In order to find the real you in the present is very imperative that you check in with the president. You readily. But there are definitely ways to narrow down your own individual fishing. But like most things, it does require a bit of effort. But the results are going to be really life change here and really self-affirming. Who doesn't want to be in alignment with who they are at the present. 5. What Does Your Day Consist Of: Just for play a large part in determining what area in your wardrobe, whatever in your life, needs the most attention. And what area is really non-important here? Say for instance, you're a stay at home, mom will have a home-based business. For instance, like myself. There'll be no great requirement to know what the latest palaces happened to offer, right? So let's determine that. Because I hear it a lot. I don't have anything to wear for casual wear or I have real extremes in my wardrobe. Loss of going out coves, party closed, but nothing for that in-between stage. But a lot of people haven't looked at the fact that the lifestyle might have changed in recent times. But because they've given their part is seeing the most attention in the path. They're more competent in that area. So your new lifestyle needs to be taken into account. When you're making these really important choice. This look at your individual circumstance and throw into theory attach pie chart. What your lifestyle Intel somewhat equal competencies. And what are the different dominating occasions that need the most attention? You've got to look at the different variations. You can use my char as a reference point. Really delve into all the elements of your lifestyle and put them on the chart. In my case, I know without any doubt, I require close for my day to day live in. And that has become the largest area in my life as of recently. Because my star language may be different from some of my choices are going to be a bit more fluid and can often transition quite easily simply because of the fact that my day-to-day can change really quickly. And now my only have enough time to change my shoes or change my jacket, for instance. I also know that I have a home-based business. My social calendar doesn't involve so much Party and nowadays, however, I do like to go on walks, socialize with friends, evening, and I also designed to sell. So i case you need to keep a fancy piece for myself. Therefore, as you can see, the largest percentage of my wardrobe is casual wear. Then closed are perfect for eating out, socializing, that kind of thing, anything that really transitions. And the smallest percentage, as you can see, is occasional where 6. What Do You Love In Your Wardrobe And What Can Go?: So the first challenge I'm going to set U is for you to go for your water and choose items that you can turn your staple pieces. Ideally, you'll choose eight pieces that vary and cover eight different lifestyle choices. Things such as going to work, eat now, going to the cinema, school run, that kind of thing. You make the choice has this might take you a little while and might have to be refit revisited a few times. So I want you to keep a log that you can go back to whenever you need to. Decide on what you love in your water. Put that section to one side, know exactly what you love about those items. Is it a color, is a texture, is very well fit him paste as it flattens the bits you love and camouflaged of things for you to a particular, do the same with what doesn't work anymore in your job. Know exactly why you don't like those particular items anymore. And finally, I've created a section for those items that we've purchase always knew wasn't speaking our star language. But boy, it anyway, you'll see that there's a section for you to really write down how you truly feel about all of these items. Being able to pinpoint what you don't like about them will eventually eliminate that urge to impulse buy. And I buy those things that aren't really speak in our language. If you really have the time and have dedicated a day or an afternoon to this task, try to mourn. What is it about these pieces that made you put them on No, Loveless. Look at how they fit, how they celebrate the parts of your body you like. Could it be the trends, seasonal nature of it, the color, the February is a unique piece. All those kind of things. No. The actions, your thoughts behind why you like that particular thing. Now I'm going to say do exactly the same with Audi, offer sections on the chart. This is really important to be clear as to the motivations for your processes. Because we are trying to create new habits. And for us to achieve new habits, we have to be very honest and decisive with the choices we make and our own processes that don't actually work for us anymore. You might have to revisit your giveaway parlor few times before you entirely comfortable flattening curve. But ask yourself these questions. When was the last time you bought the item? If you can't remember, then it's definitely time for it to go periods. Period. How likely are you going to add the item again? Do you even like it? Does it still have an appeal, doesn't even fit properly because it's still fit. Is the favorite, warm and bubbly. These kinds of questions should help you detach from them quite easily. Now that we've dealt with the difficult task of your wardrobe, let's look at who inspires you and who is your ideal. Fashion means. 7. Who Inspires You? Who Is Your Style Muse?: I love this exercise in particular, for a few reasons. Because it helps you to determine what you love and don't particularly like when you're pulling your forger together. Helps you to develop a broader view on style. Helps you to learn to bring your own stylus and critic at the same time. And can take the effort of looking for an outfit if you are a challenge for time or lacking inspiration of any. So I suggest everyone has one or two icons that you can go to whenever you are looking for some quick inspiration. Also, imagery, just lift your spirit. That was it, just me that gets excited at looking at images of close. Firstly, her archetypes of women and men that you see as inspirational. And you feel really drawn to them. What they stand for. What kind of message do you think that they are conveyed into the world? Are they about sustainable living? For example? Oh, do they seem to be really outgoing in their characters, their character good day areas and out there? Or is it the opposite? They seem very, very shy and introverted. Do you think they make him the kind of statements you'd like to make into the world you might not think is relevant to have some background knowledge about your muse. And if you don't think there's a need for this, try and approach to task from an aesthetic point of view, it might be useful to sort of discover what under pins, the star language and their style choices. You might even find something you for that you discovering yourself. Complete the diagram attached, and look at yourselves, look at what you come up with. You might find this newfound insight really useful and you might think, wow, and very similar to my news, is sometimes the mind, the brain really gets excited when it has that mirrored mirror in effect. When we find out we have things in common with people, we have respect for. Next, we attach to a bit of research on your muse to see what types of clothes this individual, whereas in their day-to-day where, even where, what if possible, if we can see a glimpse of what they were for sportswear. This part is so much fun you to really get a very broad view on what appeals to you quite generally. And what doesn't. Does this individual go for a more minimalist look? Or are they into the EMEA? A look amazing in Afro centric close. Hardest silhouettes, a classic shape. Very traumatic. Do you have a more athletic lifestyle? Therefore, your style means a more sportswear orientated. For example, I'm a fan of Jimmy Chan and your Ushahidi style. I think they're stylus of fermentable. I think Yara has a great personal style to, I think a lot of it comes from the inside outwards. So if I was going to compare has do with what I lie accuracy that hairstyles very authentic to who she is and who she is shows through every single outfit she chooses to wear. So what actually really stands out to me about both parties? Is there red carpet? Looks just perfect. A really speak to me was because the silhouettes are very stylish as well as very chic. I could see myself wearing them. I love, looks like give a sophisticated chic fill to my outfit. And that can include straight, clean lines or asymmetric styles. Also. I liked that they both have certain items that have a drape nature. And these toes allow for many different body shapes. Therefore, I could get away when similar things, we have very different body shapes, I can assure you, but aesthetic will still work for me. Therefore, I know I can still refer those garments. And successfully. I know what colors are my go-to. I have my own color palette that worked for me. For instance, I avoid the creams to whites, yellows like the plague because they are too harsh against my dark complexion. And I also know which parts of my body I'm happy to celebrate. And the parts that I am more inclined to want to camouflaged. Therefore, I know that by looking at these two individuals. I know I love to creativity in the clothes that they wear. The colors are both bold and muted, which I like personally, depending on my mood. And the silhouettes are perfect for my body shape. And for this too. I also know I would feel comfortable in similar types of things because they accentuate the things I like about my body and do not highlight the things I don't particularly love. They also both seem to go for timeless pieces that are both classic and style, as well as a few morsel dramatic pieces for learning for good measure. And we share similar styles in these examples. However, when I see GMO in our own full glory, in our own element, I can see when we differ tremendously. Therefore, because I like her as an individual. There's no real reason to use as a muse for BI day-to-day look. I've developed at the Sandman and know when to draw the line when choosing the things I like. Obviously, if you actually do like the persons they were, also, you can use that also as inspiration so that you can replicate it looks in the future. 8. Well Done Alll!!: Great news done a lot of work so far and should feel really proud of yourself, give yourself a well done. So far. You've recognized that you have given that inner sabotaging voice too much of a say in the past and have therefore taking back control of your wardrobe. You've looked at the present molto and are committed to creating one that speaks your language. We've also decided what works in the present for you or you no longer like an even more progressive, you have a clear idea what items would never speak in your, your language. And the four process behind that purchase is becoming more and more clear as we go along. Here, also decided on Islam is to use for future inspiration. Well done. All. 9. What Is My Body Type, And How Can I Celebrate it?: Now let's not leave anything to chance. So let's really get to grips with knowing what type of body shape we are and what vested say, how to celebrate the things that we love and possibly find new ways to camouflage. The bits were not too happy about. I know most of us already know what body type we are. Pr is really important to check in regularly because our bodies can actually change without us even taken any notice. So having an awareness of where we're at until we've tried to put on some script that we used to go to as a staple piece. I know that we're very well. So normal, body calm, like redresses for me. I had to learn how to sew ladies, get your tape measure sound. We're going to measure dimensions. A bus are waste and our hips. When taking your measurements, do so wherein a comfortable preferably something without too much pattern. And we're going to measure across her breast area like so. Now we're going to measure our waste. You're looking for the narrowest point in the trunk, that will be your waistline. And finally, we're going to measure the hips. This will be the widest path on your lower half. It would be more than likely the area that surrounds the bomb area. It might not be on some people, but that is usually your hip line. I mean, this process will help us when purchasing clothes because most of the time shops differ in their size and as you I'm sure you're all aware. But once you've got your your measurements and urine size guidelines, you can use that as a secondary secondary checklist. And you don't necessarily have to go by the label, the size label. It can be a bit of a shock to the system when you buy clothes this way. But once you get over the initial work, never buy the wrong size again. And you'd be comfortable with choosing your clothes by your measurements. There are five body types that we're going to be working with. The first one we're going to start with is the inverted triangle figure. This is when the top part of your body is wider than the lower body. And I must point out that this can occur for both very slim types as well as photo fuller, body woman, Naomi Campbell, Angelina Jolie, and chill scope, to name a few, have this body type. Now the objective for this body type is to create an illusion of both two top and bottom beam balanced. So the turn-off thing to do is avoid more fitted items on the lower part. And to draw the attention from the top to the lower body. Therefore, put a bottoms. You should go for more fullest skirts, pleated, layered. Some sort of a bit of the adds a bit of depth and width to the lower body. Peg trousers. Fish, telescopes or so work. Skaters, skier. Flared trousers are recommended also on your top half. Tops to emphasize or create an illusion of a waste. Tunics that fall below the ways to create width, command and tops and wrapped tops. Also, our crane trusses and chumps who's a gray dresses such as this jumper dress? Form by Sunday hair is perfect. Because obviously it doesn't draw attention to anything in particular, but just those great point asu, slow, fantastic. As long as it's not too far. On the lower half. Trait dresses such as this one, Naomi Campbell is where is everything? Our girth, the body types of women such as Halley Berry, Scala, your Hansen, hello Marion and Selma Hayek most definitely epitomizes that of the hourglass figure. This is where the person has wide bus, small waist, wide hips and resembles the hourglass. The past in hips. And similar circumference. Now some mating this shape as the most desired and may go to great lengths to achieve this. Polite most prototypes, there are great ways to celebrate this shape and things to avoid. Misconception is if you are an hourglass, everything has to be fitted and accentuate your curves. But this isn't necessarily the best look for this body type. For this prototype top such as laptops. The next people look great. Just give a very family look. High neck can sometimes look slightly from P, b over c depends on the style. So you don't have to necessarily avoid it. But depending on the slide, this style, if it's a high neck and it's sleeveless, that look very elegant. Dresses and skirts. Or dresses has perfect, Not too much drama with the silhouette. Unless of course you want to fit your pencil. Dresses and skirts are very flattering. And I'm not talking about like, like her body contrasts is because in the real-world, that's a bit too dramatic for that body shape. A stress would be more subtle on that. 40 shape. Classes should be preferably bell bottoms, high wasted looks great, too. Slim trousers, but not too slim at the bottom, because that like, like fitted skirt would make the silhouette quite dramatic and curvy. Obviously, if that's what you're going for, that's fine. Let genes and childhood, if you're gonna go for it jumps to possibly one that has this slightly wider leg. And upper body type is the rectangular shape. A shape that is shared by celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Naomi Harris, Kate Moss, mega, Marco, and J. The pink is Smith, to name a few. This shape is used it a slim sporty type and is epitomized by the wider trunk area. Therefore, breast, waist and hips are quite uniformed. I think this shape is probably one of the easiest to trust because of the equal dimensions. And like all the others, you should try to create a balanced look by wearing clothes to emphasize, to waste, or even create an illusion of a waist line. I've noticed that this particular body type like to wear hips, the style genes a lot. And this can give you a youthful look. High wasted items are great for achieved in a waistline and gives this body show more definition. The best style skirts and trousers for this shape, our paper bags style, high wasted, flared and fitted, and straight leg trousers. I can also ask any change. Of course, skinny jeans look great with this prototype. Especially if they're wherein the change with a longer, slightly longer top. Tops should have a scoop neck line. B next are gray. But if they're to punch in, this can sometimes make this body type look, extracts square, pepper them, waste lines look gray because they'll give you that illusional waistline. Trustees should be fitted them fled, belted are fabulous. Full skirts look gray, pleated, reused if it were puffed sleeves. To add a bit of drama to this body type. That's okay to shift dresses are very flattering because of the proportions of the of that rectangular style trust. So as you can see, there's a lot that this body type can get away with their kid were jumps. But as long as they go towards things that give them an illusion of a waistline or a belted item that can help create waistline. After now. I can work pretty much anything they live. The next shape is the triangular shape. Or a novel worse for the pear shape. When a woman is heavier on the bottom, half than the top, I guess once upon a time pair was viewed as not so great. But thankfully, the likes of Beyonce John, Jennifer Lopez, I've made women embrace that full up behind most of these women that I referred to as pair such as Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, most definitely have embrace their curves. As you can imagine, the way to balance this body shame is to emphasize the top part and to avoid head to toe protocol. So on your top half, a good way to balance the body is to give to you illusion of. The shoulders. So jackets or tops and dresses that have shared passive, a really good way to balance the shape is to wear a top that has less leaves. O bubble sleeves. You can also get away with forced to shoulder because that also will add width to the body. So in the bottom, fullest curves can make the lower section feel heavy, as I said earlier. But if you do opt for a full-scale, make sure the fullness is below the hip line. So drop hip style dress or skirt would look great. I would also suggest that the skirt limb isn't too short. Above the knee really looks great, just above the knee. Perfect for this body shape. And if you are a fan of print, nothing too dramatic. On the bottom. That's what they say. But saying that I sometimes too, It's all about wherever you feel competent enough to carry it off. Also, asymmetric, as you probably can see from these pictures. Skirts or dresses with interest in hemlines also work. And if your neck draws the eye to the ways and gives you illusion of our gas is also a good move. Right? As for trousers, I'd say you could easily get away with slim cut Charles's ICC suit trousers. So flared trousers work very well. Not so much a tight fit it to fit to flare, I would say because that would obviously emphasize the hip area. But if you were a pair of loose trials, those that were quite loose all the way down, that would be a very great silhouette. You've covered that in the same vein. If it was a jump to some, this is not to copy around the hips or too close to the hips. You can get away with certain trials with. Lastly, we're going to talk about the apple shape. This shape belongs to women that always have those amazing slender legs. But their weight tends to click around the stomach. Waste. Not always around the breast, but mostly. So if it does, your cleavage can be your playground. If you have the confidence enough to, then unapologetically, I notice a lot of Apple shapes to gray interests.
