1. Promo video: Hi guys, My name is edina and I'm a professional guitarist. In this course, we are going to do four different exercises to improve finger flexibility. There will be exercises for the little finger, for the index finger, for the whole hand. And also there will be a super hard barre, a flexibility exercise which fills most of the people. I will also give you some warm-up hand exercises without the guitar, which will improve your flexibility and a way to track your progress. And you can see how you improve once you start incorporating all of these exercises to your normal routine guitar practice, sign up for my course and improve your guitar flexibility with me 2. Hand warm-up exercises: Hi guys, My name is edina and I will be your new instructor in this course. And we will look at four different exercises to improve your finger flexibility. But before we go on to these exercises, I would like you to check that you are now, which are finger flexibility. To do that one, you just thought the fifth fret of the top E string. And try to reach which are little finger on the bottom string as far as possible. If it is the eighth fret, you will note that this is the one that you can reach. And then hopefully within the period of time that you practice these exercises that I'm sharing with you, you will improve this flexibility. So for me, it is the 11th fret. Before you start this exercises, it is great to warm up your fingers and then you will be more ready to reach higher or further on the guitar. Now, to do that one, at first, you can just massage your fingers. Now we have concentrating mainly on the left hand because that's where we will improve the flexibility. But of course you can do it in both hands. And to massage. You just pull the skin towards the end of each fingers and you just go through them one-by-one. So it is good if you have a good temperature in the room, because if your fingers are cold, they are not as flexible than you are warm all over in your body. Great. Once you did this one, you can just push away with your other two fingers, on the other hand saw and then try to like try to be more flexible with each of the fingers. So just pushing it away and opening up or the ligaments. Great. And then you can also like massage everything at the same time. And then push inside the fingers or trying to pull it outside. Some people can pull this way more than me. I think that's a genetic thing. But you don't have to be so flexible to reach the flexibility that you want to, because everything can be improved. Alright, now, let's go into or exercises 3. 1st exercise - Stretching the little finger: The guitar neck is wider towards the tuning keys, but not all where towards the bridge. And that's what we, the US to improve or flexibility and do all of these exercises. The first exercise we're be that we will hoard a C major chord, but without the barre shape, with the E shape on the neck. So it will be 8.9 and we will play thumb, index, middle, ring, finger. And in the next round with a go von threat for barre with the little finger. The will reach a chord which is called flattener and which is a very beautiful chord. And video, go one more fat for VD with the little finger in the next round. And we will be reaching the ninth chord or added ninth chord. And then back once we finished one round. So then if we will go von Fred down and repeat the whole thing, and it will get harder and harder the more you go down towards the tuning keys. Now, this will be very challenging than you do the same in the first few frets. So don't be discouraged if you are not having a good sound when you do it, but work toward the two reach it that 4. 2nd exercise - Stretching the index finger: In our next exercise, we will work on the flexibility with the index finger. And in this case, we start the exercise again on the eighth fret on the C major chord. So this is the E body shape, but without holding a battery. And then they're going to reach back one fret for VD and vom more frets for VD. Once we do the rounds with the index finger 5. 3rd exercise - Reverse stretching: Our next exercise we'll be Reverse stretching exercise. And in this exercise, we will start on seven. And then 9.11 Soviet will be skipping von threat in-between each of the fingers and video play dumb index. Once you did one round uvea switch over. So we will be at 1197. And then you will go down towards the first few frets. So it gets harder and harder. The more you go down 6. 4th exercise - Barre Stretching: Our last exercise is super hard. So practice these previous exercises first before you go into that one. So via do the little finger Stretching again, but this time we are going to hoard a battery. So it means that you play all of the strings, and then in the next round, you move the little finger forward one. For this exercise, you need to have a really strong barre to sound clean. And you also need to have a good way of flexibility. Once you did one round, then you go down to a minor chord, a minor shape, and you repeat the same thing. Now this exercise will be very difficult in the first few frets, but of course work towards it. And once you are close to it, are able to do it, then you definitely have a strong body and the good flexibility. Even for me, it's not like exactly clean, but it is something that I'm working on as well. 7. Outro: Congratulations for completing this course. If you enjoyed, please leave me a review. It would make me really happy and also I would love to hear how you got on with these exercises. Please also feel free to upload your version of these exercises.
