1. Introduction: Awesome. So if you wanted to start your own YouTube channel, you're in the perfect place. We just finished growing as second YouTube channel to over 10 thousand subscribers. Now, there's no guarantee that you're going to get herself, but I want to show you and break down exactly what you need to do going from complete beginner from scratch, knowing really nothing about the process about choosing a niche but choosing your videos, thumbnails, titles. And we're going to walk you through this step-by-step so that by the end of this course, you're going to be confident in your abilities. You're going to enjoy the process and you're going to have some incredible results on YouTube, building up your dream audience to watch your videos. If that sounds good, I'm looking forward to seeing you in the first lesson.
2. Your Niche: Awesome. So we have to start somewhere really, really important that most people actually don't mention when teaching how to grow on YouTube. So I want to start with what's called niche selection and what a Nietzsche's, if you aren't aware. And it's basically what type of videos, what topic of videos are you going to be publishing on YouTube? Because this decision is very, very, very hard to change once you stop. Because what happens and we're gonna go through some awesome examples here. They helped get you ideas and not get you as boxed in as you potentially could be. As you can see, people pick, for example, this one, him, a topic such as gaming. In this example its apex legends, which is a type of game. And the thing is that they've grown audience based off the videos that they publish. And so will you. Meaning if you try to switch and all of a sudden, if this user tried to stop posting about diet routines, their views would absolutely crash and it would actually start destroying their channel. And the momentum would really die as you're gonna learn, it's going to all be about momentum. So what we wanna do is we want to be aware of where your passions, because that's the only thing that's going to be able to sustain you. And where we can actually push the fence is a little bit and not be box in for life just because we've started a YouTube channel. So I'm going to start here because this is the most boxed in. And we're gonna go through some examples, expanding the box that these people have put themselves in now. And this user, it's called Back off my Jencks. He is an apex legends, which is a game on PS4 and the computer. And he's a YouTube I need Postgres highlights is very good at it. You can see post about once a day using these little indications down him. And he's got really good thumbnails, which we're gonna get into all of this stuff for you as well. But if you scroll down every single thing, this page is about apex legends, he's not at least technically able to, But if he started posting anything that's not apex legends and highlights is using an a crash. I mean the momentum on his channel are going to come to an absolute hope. And even when he goes back to pursue apec stuff, it's not going to be where it was. So if this is your passion and you know that this is way you will sort of be just a 100% Go for it, go for a real niche and you're going to grow quicker than if you go for something broader as we're about to get into. And this is Joe Rogan experiences a podcast. I'm sure you're probably heard of him. He's very, very big. And you can see all of his videos, a simply just long-form podcasts. Now, Joe Rogan can't go and all of a sudden start talking about something else, but he can in a podcast episode. So he's expanded what his actual books that he's put himself in the niche that has put himself in by actually having the freedom and talk about what he wants, as long as it's actually on a podcast. You can see you get some really cool guest, Miley Cyrus, mike tyson, David Blaine. And he just has very fun, casual, interesting growth centered conversations with them. And the cool thing about it is that he does have more freedom in here. You can see he's got 10 million subscribers. But once again, you can see that he must be posting his podcast on this. That's what people are used to. That's what people have actually fell at him full. And that's what is his so-called box or fences. You can see a little bit bigger than him. And of course, and this is the going to be the core lesson here. I'll give it to you early. You need to be passionate about whatever niche and topic that you are choosing. Otherwise you're going to get burned out. His five-minute crafts. Now this is a very, very tight box to be in there doing extremely well with 68.1 million subscribers. And you can replicate this is self, just over a longer period of time. You can see they post hacks and DIY. That's all. They can really post that very much limited to this because nobody wants to see any other content because they followed five-minute crops for the sort of like the meditative. If that's the word meditative and sort of satisfying. Just laid back watching people caught watermelons and do simple things. And you can see that's what works, that's what gets a lot of use. It's because that's what people are following them. Full. I says Charisma on Command. They post about basically charisma and persuasion. And they pick a person and they break down how they actually exhibit deck charisma and persuasion. And the, That's the box that put themselves in. It's a very, It's very popular books and does really well. But they can't just go and stop posting about how to make money. They can't go and post about personal development in other areas unless they really choosing somebody to be able to break down in the format that they already use new money. And this is actually interesting. This is an Australian guy who used to be called Ozzie wealth creation, which was why I was using this example but has since expanded his Actually, I think scene of what I was talking about. It's going to give him the example of his name was a-z both creation, which is Australian wealth creation because he is Australian. And I was going to say that he's limited self to the Australian market. However, He's very, very recently changed his name to new money. And this is because he realized that by being called Ozzie wealth creation, he was limited in his reach. He was limited in helping people who oversees and has since expanded that books by rebranding his name. Now, this works well because he talks about money worldwide. So anyone who's in Australia also is interested in money worldwide. But you can't expand your box to something that your audience does not like. This is a great channel. Is Amy as Mark Rocha, 13.7 million subscribers. You can see he posts very cool physics tests. He's a physicist and he builds his own technology. And if you haven't seen someone whose videos, it's great to watch incoming get inspired by for your channel. If you're going to pick something like this and I'm going to show you how to choose this. But he is limited to doing physics. And I like massive scale testing, which is, of course, he's passion engineering. And that's great for him. But if we started to try and replicate this and we went passionate about it, I'd be very, very hard to stick with it. Now but you can see it is much wider box than someone like who can just post one sort of game as Stephan James, Project Life Mastery just recently crossed the 1 million subscribers now. And this is a really cool way to do things. He's named his brand Project Life Mastery. So he's books is anything to do with Life Mastery. Which means he's going to grow a lot slower than someone who's very, very niche and minute. But he has kept his books so to speak. And he defenses of what he's allowed to publish open because anyone who's following him has followed him for different things. So he's pushing it, growing on YouTube PAs posting about opening stock account. He has posting about this is an Amazon FBA had a sell on Amazon. You supposing that juices is present mindsets and money and potent. Pub at publishing a book. You can see his books and he's, Nietzsche's much broader. You can see it actually customer a little bit because for a million subscribers, he gets quiet. A lot less views than you saw all those other channels getting. And it's sort of like a it's sort of a decision you have to make. Do you go super niche around something that you're passionate about? Or do you brought in that box and take a little bit slower growth? That's the decision you have to make. But the key and the only takeaway that I really, really want you to get from here is you must be excited to make this sort of content. You must be excited to learn about whatever it is that you're teaching on an ongoing basis, what's going to be sustainable for you. Because otherwise you're gonna do it for about two years and you're going to get bored and sick and tired of it. And you're going to want to get out and you got to be inconsistent in a posting schedule, which he's going to kill the momentum and kill your account. So what are you passionate about? Common, find somebody who does it already. So if you do real estate would come in here and we type in real estate and we'd find people that quack brothers, ryan, So haunt. Meet Kevin. I know a couple of these guys, Graeme Stephan, Meet Kevin and around Sirhan or doing really, really good with real estate. So what you'd do is you'd go and you'd see how they're starting to post. And what you need to do is you need to find about two or three of these people who are doing really well. And the people who are doing the best would definitely be Graeme Stephan come over to Social Blade.com, typing their name, said Graham. I believe it's a PAH Graeme Stephan disguise, absolutely killing it in the real estate niche. And he's actually expanded his. And I think that over here, you actually expanded. He's reached to the city's main channel here. He's not just real estate anymore. He sat at real estate, but he's expanded his box any extended his fence to be money in general. So he's talking about the debt crisis. He's talking about side hustles. He's talking about spending, is talking about returns on investments. He's talking he's real estate in here. So he's expanded his box is expanded, his fences or what he's allowed to talk about slowly over time. But the key to this 12 and this is going to be in the next module, is how to define your ideal audience and deliver what they want. So basically I want to teach you social blade. Once you know that you're going to be doing a passion, find someone who's already has the account that you want. You can say that the 9 million views over the last 30 days, he's averaging 308 thousand video views a day, which is incredible. And he's averaging 3 thousand subscribers a day. So this is somebody that we could potentially modal common, find someone in your niche, whatever you're passionate about, that's the key. And I'm going to show you how you can model them and replicate their success in this course together.
3. Your Audience: Awesome. So if you are struggling to pick your niche, if you're struggling to pick your type of videos that you want to create is a very, very simple way and a long-term solution to this, which I really want to give to you. A lot of people tell me to stay away from this whiteboard drawing app on my team, but I will persist because it gets the message across, but it may be a little bit messy. So here is a big black circle, which is basically the YouTube audience, which is over a billion people. So basically everybody is actually on YouTube and it's overtaking TV. It's becomes the main way to actually watch videos. Netflix would be up there as well. But this is why we want to start a YouTube channel because everybody, including your ideal audience is on YouTube. It doesn't matter what the niches you will find a US or a fish tank cleaning Youtube channel recently, unlike OK, everybody is officially now a 100 YouTube. So what you need to do is you need to consciously select which subsection of the turtle YouTube audience you want to actually target. Good saying that your products will always change, your services will always change, but your customers will be with you for life if you can bring them enough value. So you want to fall in love with your audience, you want to fall in love with your customers. And when you do this, it doesn't matter what you actually bring them. Because you are not, you are not your product or your services or your videos, but you are bringing your audience value. And this is the easiest way to actually pick one of these niches or pick a specific type of topic of YouTube video or YouTube niche that you want to be in is basically what is your ideal? Who is your ideal audience? Who are the people you want to spend your life with? Who are the people you want to bring value to, to network with, to have watched your videos, to have comments on your videos. There's a lot of people I know that I personally don't want as my target audience. I'm sure the same for you. And you need to find out and define what is your ideal audience and then where do they currently hang out on YouTube. So you can see I've got a different colour circles of ESO. The first target audience could be wealthy women in the US who have a passion for horses. And if that's sort of like who you are, I think a lot of people like to work with people who are similar to themselves and that's who you are. That's really where you should be creating your content because you're going to attract like-minded, awesome people who you can really relate to into your life, into your YouTube audience and into your world. And that's, you'll never run out of steam on that because you can consistently change what you're posting, but still know what the customer and know what the audience wants because it is sort of new. Over here. You may have people who just obsessed with gaming. Every number two and number three, it could be people who are obsessed with foods, are foodies. And then before could be fitness buffs, people who are obsessed with working out and you get the idea, there's all these different people. You need to understand that you are not going to and you don't want to. This is a big mistake. Appeal to everybody. Because when you appeal to everybody, you appeal to nobody. But you want to pick one of these circles are the ones that the example I gave, but define your ideal audience. Literally write it down on a piece of paper or pull ADA notes on your computer and the like. Who do I want to work with? Who do I want to work for? Who do you want to serve is a good question. And when you understand that, you can then backtrack and find out where they hang out on YouTube and then deliver similar content to the people who are actually have your target audience have and you'll start attracting them. And this is really kinda know it's really early to start teaching this, but I'm telling you this will set you apart from everybody else by finding something you're passionate about, number one, and working with people who you love to work with. Number two, you are destined for success because you're not even going to be looking at the metrics that you're going to be enjoying every step of that journey.
4. YouTube Challenge: A challenge for you, and I'm very, very excited to deliver this to you because it's the biggest mistake that people make. And I really want to make sure that this lecture, this little bit of video that you're about to watch, is going to unlock the keys to ultimate success on YouTube. A lot of people get stuck here. A lot of people gets stuck with the wrong mindset, and therefore they never reach their goals and way above their goals on the social media platform of choice. This time, we're talking about YouTube. So this is my current Channel, One of my channels, and it has 9.88 thousand subscribers. So in about three days, we're averaging about 50 to 60 subscribers a day at the moment. We're going across the 10 thousand subscriber mock. However, we have almost absolutely no control over how many people are subscribing to account to have videos. And if you want to get 10 thousand YouTube subscribers, you know, other people are going to have to push that subscribe button. There's variables on YouTube that are in your control and variables that aren't in your control. And although we can ask people to subscribe and we can have appealing DMS and appealing titles. They're not necessarily going to always click on it and they're not necessarily always going to want to subscribe to you. So this is a variable that's out of our control. And when you think about it, we want to be focused, absolutely obsessively focused on which variables are actually in your control and has one that is massively in control. And that is your videos. How many videos are you putting up? And you can see we've actually very recently switched to one video every single day because we did. And what you're going to do if you want to succeed. Whats called the 100 video challenge. I want you to go and find someone with 10 thousand or a 100 thousand subscribers who has less than 50 videos. I bet you, it's going to be a really hard challenge. It's going to be something that's very, very abnormal. And if you look at, I'd say 95 to 99% of channels with 10 thousand subscribers, which is what your goal is or maybe just the first step in your goal. They're going to have more than 50 to a 100 different videos. And a lot of people don't grasp this. A lot of people think they can put up one video and have it absolutely skyrocket which you can, you can have videos that really take off if you sort by most populous, you can see some of these areas really take off even though we have very low subscribers at the moment. This works. But you don't know which ones they are. And you also, you also a lot of people, they treat the YouTube process with too much perfection there, trying to perfect every single thing before it goes out. And it holds them back on actual volume and holds them back on getting better and better at the process. The best way to learn is by doing. And that's why you are about to embark on the 100 video challenge. And I really hope that this isn't too overwhelming. And know a lot of people who do get stuck in that perfection will look at this and be like Holy crap, that's a lot. But This will set you up for success. I want you to now go and try and find an account with a 100 videos on it who doesn't have 234510 thousand subscribers. That is also rare. And so if you want to be put in that category, if you want the ten K, subscribe, it's, you don't really have too much of an influence unless you have a big list already. What you do have control over is the process of creating these videos. We want you to get better and better and we want you to have more fun at it. We wanted to be quicker and quicker so that these videos don't seem like what they do to a lot of beginners is just massive, massive tasks for them to actually do. And I'm going to show you how you can batch these things. How you can pick different video styles that take, you know, 10% of the time as other styles do and do and perform that, gee, better, they get better engagement and bit of views. But I'm gonna give you the sheet I. This is the sheet that we actually use entrepreneurship Academy, that's now youtube channel. This was on a wall and as we went, we crossed off these videos. It's up to you how quickly you want to get through this challenge we're about to launch another account. And you should become a Photoshop specific account for a new branch of our business. And we're going to put up a 100 videos in 30 days. And they going to do really, really well. Because if you sell it nothing, you need to build that momentum. So it took us about four to five months, I believe, pulley for maybe five months to get to our a 100 videos at the stop. But you can do it a lot quicker or you can do it a lot slower depends where you are at and what you want out of your business and what your actual goals are. I recommend trying to get a video out at least twice a week. Because if you're not doing twice a week, you're really missing out on a lot of valuable time. Because the more, the longer you leave a video out, they mature slowly. So you can see this is the most recent video. I've put up a 181 views in 20 hours, a hundred and forty five hundred and twenty eight hundred and eight hundred sixty to 217. These are all posted within the last five days. The 11 we could go took off a little bit, went to 1000. This is 107. And you can see this when I branched out of the Instagram a little bit and you can see that it gets less engagement, less interaction like we spoke about in the first lecture. But I want to make sure that the box around me isn't too tight. I wanna make sure that there's room to actually create what i'd like creating and digital marketing and want to expand out just a little bit more than Instagram. Because now Instagram is gonna come and go like all social media platforms. And what I wanted to show you is the further you go back, the more views these video have, 1.4440251.840 thousand and some of them a little bit lower, but these videos mature over time. Twelve thousand, one hundred fifty thousand here, 13 thousand here. And the quicker you get these out, the more chance they're going to have to mature faster. You're not gonna have to wait two years to see some momentum. But the quickie get them out there more time. They have to mature and grow. And I'm going to show you how perfect this growth trajectory and make sure that you are getting the maximum amount of US per video. But this is the key takeaway here. You need to print this out. Once you've chosen your niche and chosen your channel name, which we can help you create as well. And I want you to type in or right in your channel name here and then embark on this. If it's scary, it's good. You want to do things that put you outside your comfort zone. You want to do things that are gonna push you and make you grow and build the skills and change your mindset. Because people who look at this and they say a 100 videos, cool, I'm going to crank those out. I'm going to find a style that works really well, but people really love that's quick to create. I'm gonna batch him, so I'm gonna do ten videos a day, and this is just ten days of work, all of a sudden. And there's other people which is the majority people. And that's how I started to. It's just like, OK, I'm suddenly YouTube channel. I want every video to be perfect. I want every video that takeoff. And I'm going to spend a week on each video, but it really just turns into a month. And this is where most people get stuck. You need to create, create, create, stick to a schedule and have accountability to that schedule so that you're actually innovating on the processes as you go. So print this off, right, your name in here. And you are now embarking along with everybody else who's taking this or we can have a cool accountability together and even myself, I'm now on to the thousand video challenge. To get up to a 100 thousand to a million subscribers. You want to be taking this challenge. This is your goal. This is the only thing that you really have full control over is the amount of content and then the quality of content that you can create. If you can create incredibly high quality content at a maximum output, you are going to absolutely explode on YouTube. So I'm excited to see your journey and make sure you put this up on your wall printed off and you can live with it colored in a highlighter and in as you go and send me a photo, upload a photo here. I'd love to see everybody's posters up on their wall because this really is the key, may not seem like at the staff at a really, really is the key that's going to explode your YouTube channel.
5. Topic Demand: Awesome. So now we have our niche decided we know what the topic of our accounts going to be. We need to stop populating it with content, the start of a 100 video challenge. So this is where it gets really exciting. This is called the research phase of your video creation process. Now, you can make this really, really simple and I'm gonna show you how. The biggest thing we wanna do once again, is to make sure that this is not overwhelming at all. We wanted to make sure that you feel in control and confident every stage of the way. So that's what we're here to do. Now. We're going to be using my account as an example. So I'm just gonna open a new tab here. Go to YouTube type an entrepreneur Academy. Come over and you can see once again that this is our count without videos. Now, these videos on random, we're not randomly going into a dark room, going into a vacuum with no inputs and trying to come up with video ideas. We're going to our ideal audience that we've already defined and we're working backwards to make sure that we're making content that connects with them and that they really lack. So how are we doing this now is a good book around my camera on. But there's a good book by Eugene M. Schwartz for breakthrough advertising now actually paid about three or $400 for this book could it's actually out of print, but you can get a PDF if you really need to, for free. So basically free, but we'll keep secret because the book is that a print? I'm not trying to brag about my phone at all and book, but what I'm trying to tell you is It's a really ingenious book about copywriting and about persuading people. And the number one takeaway that I got from that book that was worth the money that I spent on was you can't manufactured demand. For example, your right here. And you're gonna YouTube because I did not make you wanted to create a YouTube channel or a YouTube brand. You already had that demand. And you've come to this training to learn the process of how to do it. And the same thing goes for any of this content. And you can see on my screen right now, these already in-demand topics, none of these topics, manufacturing demand, there is a tiny, tiny percentage that will manufactured demand. But most of the time you're tapping into 9, 9% of time tapping into a demand or design that already exists in your ideal target audience that you went and defined. So how do we find what this is? So for us, the mental or an Instagram and social media and digital marketing channel. So you can type in, for example, 10V You keywords. And this will show you once you type it in the most popular searches with that keyword at stuff. So we've, we're making Instagram videos. We can see with Instagram real that's very, very popular. It's number two most popular thing that people type in when they type in Instagram than a space reals is second-most story ideas followers. And you can see if I then go down and if I can, and at followers, and then another space. And it will show me the most popular things that are being searched. These are the highest demand topics, the highest demand keyword search terms that are coming up. And if you type in, say Instagram follows hack for example, you will see the most popular content for those most popular searches. And this is where we can really start to get some awesome ideas. This is the first strategy just typed in the most probably the search temps and find the most popular videos for them. Now, I want to show you a little bit of a hack YouTube pack in this case. So if I type in Instagram, which is my topic, or you can type in real estate if that's your topic, or you could type in jewelry. Do Re, if that's your topic and you can see whatever is coming up is what's already in demand in terms of search. But you can't see anything. But what comes after the word? Now a little trick to do this and it's touching, it doesn't always work, but when it does, it's brilliant. You put a star and Asterix in. And then he put in a backslash. And you can see what's happened here is it's changed Instagram from having to be the first word to just having to be in the search ness. And now these are the most popular Instagram's such as YouTube searches, sorry, with the word Instagram in. And it doesn't have to be the state doesn't have to be the end, but it's anyway. And funny enough, had linked Instagram is the most popular Instagram search on youtube. So if I'm doing Instagram content, that's not a video I'm going to pick even though it's really high in demand, just because it's not my target audience. You know, my Tycho into people who want to grow on Instagram, not how to delete their Instagram. So I would pick a video like this where if you go to my channel, you can actually see there's a lot of videos that I create a based on this sort of keyword here. Now, you want to come and do this and you want to just write down all these ideas because they can all become videos. These are what I call SEO videos. Now, SEO search engine optimization, just like Google, ranks content, so does YouTube. Youtube is just an algorithm as such, algorithm that is telling you is bringing back. So if I type in how to make a, and these are the most popular ones. So we can go for how to make a YouTube channel that's very relevant. Now you can see that these are populating based on what YouTube thinks is most relevant to that such time, all of these are getting all this trafficking, say 1.76.84.73.61.51.21111 million twice. Now just to let them once and then 2.2. These are very, very popular videos because they're getting all this search traffic. It says very, very important. This is one type of video. The other type of video, what's called viral or shareable videos. Which if I come back to my homepage, you can see, I'll get a good example of this. That's a good one, but I want to, I want to beta_1 way. I always say it's already actually pulling some tailored thing. So I'm going to private browser so it doesn't know who we are. It's already sudden improve some real estate stuff because I typed in that word real estate as an example. And it's got Australian stuffing here because I'm in Australia. Let's get a very good example for us. Bet and men spook each other. Now, this is a cool video. I mean, we can watch it at 21 second video, just a ban Amanda and a corner and they scare each other. No one is searching for barren man spooky cello. This, unless they've actually, we can type it bare. You can see Ben men speak each other is not popular. But if you saw it, keep going, maybe people actually going to start looking for this video, bearing men speak. So people start to such it after it's created its own demand for these are called viral or shareable videos. Now, you're gonna be creating both types of these videos. Ones that is supposed to be ranking for SEO, for search such as how to Tai Tai Chi Tai is a very, very popular such time if you're ranking for this union get millions of US a year bearing men spook each other, is something that's shareable. And if you watch YouTube, which we all do, you're going to see Ozzie Marina, No one is typing Ozzie marijuana into. Youtube before this video was created, you know, it is a sharable work at Willis is a not such terms that it's ranking full, but these are cool thumbnails and interesting titles that are being shared on people's homepages and on their suggestion. So if we click on this, I mean, we all know how YouTube is laid out and it changes from time to time, but they'll always have recommended videos. Now, these recommended videos are going to be the ones that aren't SEO videos. These are the ones. If I can just pause that wherever you see Willis, work it. If you do come over and see itself. But these are all the sharable and all the viral content. For the SCO content, I want you to come to a call to come to a tool called Trends, Google.com, what's called Google Trends, having just Google that as well. Now, I want you to come over to this arrow down here and type in youtube search. And what we're going to actually find the most popular searches on YouTube. He's the most popular topics over here. And we can scroll through them again. And you can just see if there's any of these applicable to you, if any of these are actually good for you to create content around and go for it because he's a very in-demand topics when we can't manufacture domain, he must tap into it. And these are the most popular queries. And I've got it from 2008 to present him. But you can actually come in and you can do over the past 30 days, for example. And you can see exactly what the most searched things are. And you can come and you can make content around these things. And these are some very, very popular ones. If you want, you can, and I'll show you in a second. I can show you how to tailor this into your niche and you can zoom out. And once again, it's very, very fascinating, at least for me to come and see what people are actually searching for. That tick tock mashup is the biggest such term in the United States. You can change this to worldwide as well in the last 12 months or whereby that save it changes coronavirus Of course, in 2020 would be the biggest. And say come back now, I'm going to go United States. But once again, once you've defined your market, you'd be able to pinpoint them and where they are. And you can see these are the biggest, biggest searches on YouTube. Now, we wanna make this a little bit more relevant to us and to our niche. So for me, it's Instagram. So I'm just going to type in the word Instagram. And you can see I'm still on YouTube. So it's funny because I'm searching Instagram, which is my key word or topic on Google Trends, which is pulling data from the YouTube search. So just making sure that that's clear, go for as far back as possible. And we can see the trend of Instagram. You know, it peaked here in 2019. It looks like when it's sort of it's really high in demand. It's 50 out of a turtle, a 100 and this is a relative scale, it's just between 100%. This is the maximum searches. It's Avogadro, and right now it's at halfway of its maximum searches ever got. If we compare this to something a little bit more new, tick tock, we're going to be able to see a tiktaalik absolutely crushes Instagram in the search, seems to maybe have peaked. It's come down a little bit, maybe on its way up, maybe on sway down, we don't know. But it's a really big breakout topic, something that's really massively in demand. So this is how you start to compare these things. If I type in Instagram followers on YouTube, I'm going to start to see it against the such term Instagram. And you can see it's very, very low against Instagram. If I can, if I type in, delete Instagram, I'm stein to compare these things that are coming videos about. And what you wanna do is you want to actually find the best ones. And actually I want to come back and change this one to. Before we do that, is you can find suggestions of what Google Trends is recommending, how to Instagram, Instagram Live Instagram videos, Instagram followers had to get Instagram followers. These are all breakout. Such as we can go once again into the last 90 days to get some more relevant daughter on these suggestions, but just typed in the broad keyword. Keep it really general. And so that can give me really good suggestions that's not too specific and not too limited. So Instagram algorithm 20-20, that would be a great video for me to create and that would be my title. Because remember, these are changing Instagram password if you've got it. That's a hilarious but very good video. You can literally have this as your title, creative video around it. So this is how we are getting and you have to make sure it's relevant because something like Instagram to work people obviously not looking for Instagram advice. I hadn't grown Instagram, but they're looking for a specific video, something that may have gone viral on Instagram. So it had to be careful that let's do one more example together. So if I'm doing lose weight, there's going to be a lot of people who are wanting to lose weight out in the world and searching YouTube for the results. We can see the overall trend. You can see it's up and it's always been quite in-demand. You can see where they're searching from and you can see, you can see what they're actually typing. Hillary's way for teenagers could be your video is one video there and an exercise to lose weight fast at home. There's another video, and you have to realize that you're going to basically be creating a YouTube channel is going to have the same core messages over and over again. And you think it's going to have different faces and the title and the thumbnail, or basically the faces that you put on your core message. When I get more into that in a second. But what I need you to take away from here is how to use Google Trends, How to use YouTube search, and having YouTube's shared virality, shared viral video types in order to really get incredible amounts of high demand videos that will go into your first 100 video. So once again, you can't manufacture demand. We can only tap into the demand that's already there. And these are the three tools that we can use to do that.
6. Video Styles: Awesome. So now you know how demand can't be manufactured and you want to go and find something that's already in demand. So you can just basically popular videos in there and steal or borrow, or just funnel that traffic towards your creation, toward your videos in your channel. I'm going to show you how you can choose your video style that best suits you, best suits your niche, and the type of video that you are creating. So there's a few examples we're gonna go through together. But starting hand with USA basketball. Now, this is basically how to shoot a basketball, how to dribble a basketball, bounce the basketball, and it's going to mute this so we don't have to fight with these guys. One chatting to you, play, and you can see they're teaching basketball. So obviously there on a basketball court with basketball is, and a basketball, and you can see they have some screen overlays here. Now. And this is a very good way to teach something that's practical and that requires your whole body. So it's going to append niche Denise. You can see they have overlays here on the editing site and I'll teach you how to do that. But this is just about selecting which type of video you want to create. And I'm going to take the criteria on that. Don't get bogged down in the details. We will be going through that together, so just flow with me at the moment. So you can see this is a in-person. We call this actually a talking head video. And you can see this isn't actually the typical YouTube talking head because there's three of them in there standing upright. It's almost like an old-school traditional talking head. We're talking head is whether big on the screening of the cameras just pointed straight at them and then talking directly to the camera. This is a very, very engaging sort of video. And if you can deliver value, people are going to really, really lack. And this could be one that you do. A lot of people, however, are going to be a little bit shy in front of the camera and they're awesome alternatives for you. And as we go, I'll give you the criteria that you need to actually think about. So this is JR Eclipse. This is Joe Rogan experience these eclipse from his podcasts. Now this is a different type of video, and we're talking about video styles and video types here. Now, let's just click on this random one. Mike Tyson agreed to do a fine. You can see once again, it's basically talking head. It's in-person video. But why I want to talk about this one is because this is the content that was cut down from a podcast. So number one, if you have a practical tip or tool to teach, you may want to be in person to demonstrate it. Number two, if you have something else, if you don't, you can create it. That is creating you consistent long-form content. It very, very easy to go in there and clip it. So whether you record your day or whether you have a podcast yourself or a long foam style content, you can simply clip those down into small eclipse, title them, and throw them up on YouTube and on teach you exactly how to do this as well. But once again, these are the two talking head in-person sort of practical video styles now. And this one here, I'm sure you've seen a lot of, and this is just a screener coating. And if we unmuted it, you can hear the guys talking over the top, sort of like, I mean, it's exactly like what you watching now I'm recording my screen, you can't see my face unfortunately. And teaching you what's on my screen. This is called screen recording or screen-sharing software, which I'll teach you all about. This is a, another very easy and a very simple way. Why do it? While I'm doing it for this is because it's so much easier to record, so much more casual. I don't have to look to the screen and back and forward. And when I edit this, I don't have to cut. Two videos, one my camera video and the screenshot video. I just have to edit the Screenshare video. Very simple. And then I show my face in two or three videos throughout the training. And you guys get to know me a little bit more personally. And you can just imagine what i'm looking lack, Oh, I'm sitting here actually teaching you this. So this is a Screenshare and if you're teaching anything digital, you teaching anything on the web where you breaking down videos for example. I'm breaking down is really meter example here, but I'm breaking them videos. So I'm actually just scrolling through videos and showing you and talking through what's going on. If you're doing anything like that in your knee, show you breaking down, maybe a real estate agent and you have a house for display and you want to show or give a walking tour online through the house. Perfect way to do it is a Screenshare type of video. This one, he is very good as by channel called poly matter. And they make very, very interesting, very, quite advanced. Gotta meet this once again style videos. And you can see it's a lot of animation and a lot of movement. These are actually quite a bit easier to create than you may think. And I'm going to show you exactly how you can do that. But I just want you to see that have overlays and this is the stock images or stock videos which I once again, I'll show how to do with custom. They made their own infographic sort of cartoon overlays, very, very, very engaging, but much harder to actually create sort of video. And I've had good success with these ones in the past. I'm going to continue to do these videos. I will show you how to, how to choose this dial and sort of get started with the right software and tools. This one, this one is a lot easier. It's not actually that much worse to watch. Let's have a look at the sun. Just pause that down. And it's a whiteboard sharing. So you can see this is obviously a fake hand and they prepare what they're going to write and it just looks like somebody is drawing and wipe boring. These are all stock images in this software. It's called video scribe, and it's a very easy way to explain things and get things across these two last ones. A good explainers for concepts that can't really be explained using a Screenshare. And then lastly, this is a game, a sort of VDS is similar to a screen share, but you probably sharing something that's from the PlayStation on, probably sharing something that's from your TV screen, maybe a computer game screen. So it's basically an in-game sought of Screenshare. And the very engaging, very cool eyed people actually just overlay these games while they're talking because it's, you know, video games are meant to hold your attention. And they may also do a little box here which has your camera. I'm going to show you how to do all of these. But the key is that you want to remember that we're trying to make as much content as possible at start with trying to get the processes damage on it, get your confidence up, and we're trying to just get your channel moving. The first 100 videos all about giving that momentum and perfecting the process and getting better and better quality as we go. So we're not stuck in a vacuum or stuck in the dark trying to work it out. So this is where you need to decide what videos are you going to start with, what's easiest for you to create and also gives the most value to your fans or your audience at a waiting there for you to build this content. You may want to go back and forth between different constant tenth styles as no problem with that. But pick one that's going to be easy for you to start, easy for you just to get rolling with. And you're going to have a very good time once you pick one and get very, very good at it.
7. Creating Thumbnails: Alright, so to continue our research phase, we now need a thumbnail. We know what the demand is, we know what that sort of what the title is. If we're doing SEO for doing a viral one, we don't yet, but we can get there together and we need to know what the visual representation is. I always like to have it's almost like the front of a book, a book cover before you write the book and actually make the content. Although I don't want to confuse you because this should not take anywhere near the time of writing and both this should just take a few hours at maximum member. Our goal here is to get the processes down and to make sure that we can crank out content very effectively and high-quality content to just because we're going fast, doesn't mean it should be bad quality. We should be perfecting the quality each video put out should be slightly better than the last. And, but you time you do a 100 videos, you're going to have some incredible, incredible pieces of content going. Yeah, so I've typed in something token here, forests have to invest and you can see what we need to focus on is YouTube have ranked their best match. You know, they have their own algorithm and they ranking these videos at the top of the search results because these are the ones that get the most clicks. You can think of this as almost like a real estate like when you type in how to invest. Let me, YouTube's goal is to keep people on their website. Youtube gonna keep people on YouTube. Because then they can serve them more ads and they can make more money. So we're always going to try and put the most engaging, highest clicked. So when people search this, what do they click on? That's gonna move up the riskier. And the more they do that, the more that people are going to stay on their platform and watch the ads. So these are the ones we have to replicate. These are the ones we have to look at as the high-performing ones. And even though they may not be the prettiest ones, these are the ones that are going to get us the most clicks on our videos and therefore the most watches and therefore movers up the SEO rankings or be shared more crushing tubes viral over rhythm. So you can see that there's some cool thumbnails here. A lot of them have people in it. So if you wanna do that style video, you can pop your own face in there as well. However, this sum that don't like the Swedish investor here. This sounds really cool. And with the thing that across the middle, holding some monies in Australia and money to be specific. Once again, kind of his facing here. This one here, make money with debt is actually very interesting rule cartoon one. And we want to just see what's going well, he's in Gary Vee and here another one with a face. And we just wanna see what's doing well, so we can replicate it on our own. Now, I'm going to give you two options. What I use for my thumbnails is Photoshop and I have these templates that are very, very easy to create. You can see is just a couple of boxes form here. And then one here. I use this phone, I think it's called DEM condensed list that will check that didn't condensed. And I think it really stems out. And the key that I use in my thumbnails, and I'm not the best thumbnail, but they work pretty well and I'm getting better and better as I go. Because whenever I'm on the 1000 video challenge, I want a 100 via challenge, I'm the same as you. I'm learning as I go is simplicity is always key. And if you are modelling what The best things are going, you'll see like these are the simplest atom that was before, after how to invest $100. Just a photo of Hey Misha guy in the Australian Stock Exchange logo. That always very simple and the more convoluted ones at that we'll actually see him. People put really small text in there. I mean, this one's a little bit more busy and convoluted. They don't seem to do as well. And things come and go. So make sure whenever you're watching this, you're seeing what's performing well in the moment because it used to be the busier thumbnail the veteran does. And now they seem to like all the busy ones seem to be pushed way down to the bottom and a simple ones seem to rise to the top. So just going like once again, replicate is the key here. What's already performing well? And then make it your own. Don't rip off, don't copy, but use these as inspiration for your own thumbnails. Now, if you're not good at Photoshop, I don't recommend picking it up just for this, unless you've wanted to lend Photoshop at the same time, it's a really cool way to learn it. And you could do that. But if you do know Photoshop, come and make them really simply in here and have a few. If I go open that, you have to close this down to get that many backups. And we want to say that you can see I have a few different thumbnail types that I use, and these are just templates that I could actually just use. You can say this is the same template at this, the one I just used, but just different color boxes, different color background, but very, very similar. I can come in, I can put in whatever texts that I need here. If you don't use Photoshop, canva is your option. So I've already got ahead of myself here, come into Canvas, typing YouTube dumb now. And it's already going to give you the dimensions. And you can see these are pre-populated thumbnails for you. These are very, very easy to use these Afri, you can also have some premium ones. They have upsells, but if you want the free ones, it's very easy to just stick to the free ones as well. Come and see which style of thumbnail fits your desire, but also fits to the YouTube's desire. Because remember you and YouTube are working together here, you guys and now team. And once you find one, say this one, click on it. And it's gonna open up this thumbnail designer. And you can see that you can come in here and pop anything you want in it. So how to invest? And the 101 eating coming at you can delete things began as Guy and we don't want to clutter up too crowded, so we can just pop, push that delete button there. We can come in and we can sub in any photo we want here. You can see that you can actually move it around or the actual photo that's already dead. But we're going to come and we're gonna put our own photo enzymes can push delete on that. And then you're going to come and pick a thumbnail. Not them now photo, so click on photos and you see they have their own photos in here. And I'm gonna type in money because we are talking about investing is money here. I'm going to pop that over here. Pull it out until it's off the screen. Now you can see the actual layers have been messed up a little bit here. So I'm going to come over to position here and I can actually move it backwards and towards back in place behind the other thing. So it's just a, it's like a photoshop layer here. And I'm gonna move it right over to here. And then you can actually incoming any could adjust button or the Filter button. And you can add satellite just like an Instagram. Different filters and different effects on it. You can see, you can pop these effects on it and you can just connect them and import them. A lot of really cool things. It's a very, very simple version of Photoshop that you can come and everything is customizable and once again, everything is free. If I'll show you what the premium, the premium ones have these little crowns, the Pro version have that. So as long as you're not using the protons, all these are free, free to download once you've got it and then straight upload to YouTube, rated to go. Now, couple of marketing tips, I would make text really, really big, a lot bigger than you would actually think. And you wanna make it pop. You want to make it go over here and be like, what color's gonna stand out if I rank up Pia, what, what's not there already? And you can see that there's no, there's no real green is a little bit of green here and then but that's what catches my eye. So I wouldn't make mine a nice green, which we've already really got the impetus and boxes in behind here. So we can come over to elements up here. And we can plug in a shape or like a rectangle here. And you can adjust the right size. You could, you could put one here, one nano, which is what I do, and change the color up here. You can see if you can tap on the different colors that you want. And you can see there's different elements like their ESEA, each one is going to be a different color which you can make. And then once again, if it's over the text, we just have to pop it behind a text like that and then shape it into position. And this is once again really rough. But I would be spinning a little bit more time on it. If, if this wasn't just a tutorial, will show you how to do it. Begins guy, we can make a little bit smaller so it fits into that black here. And this really is a skill. And remember what you're going to actually be doing is you're going to be doing all of this at the same time. Remember, we want to be batching your work. So maybe you recording two or three videos in a day or maybe you're putting two or three videos a week sort of thing. You wanna do all your thumbnails together. So you're learning the process and it's very simple for you once you actually get it. So it's gonna pop him behind the text. We don't want the line to money, so we're going to pop that money backwards further. And then we want to get rid of that. Gray will make all these black. And that's just gonna make that text papilla that will go. So you can see that is a thumbnail that would fit very well and pop out in the actual YouTube search results. And we made that very, very quickly. We can then save these templates. You could pop a photo of yourself when you can upload your own photos, which I don't think I mentioned. And It's very easy way to actually save these templates. And anytime that we're making more or making two or three blackouts talking about at once. We can just pop them in right here, download all three and we have three thumbnails with the man, their titles there and we'll be talking about titles in just a second together to make sure it's finalized. And then we'll be all ready to record with that thumb at demand app title. And then we just need the actual product and the process inside. So you're doing extremely well. Quick pat on the back for everybody for making it this five, done very well. And I can tell you're committed to keep going, keep enjoying it. I'm going to keep making it fun for us and looking forward to seeing you in the next lecture.
8. Video Titles: Awesome. So now we're going to be talking about the titles of your videos. You're bound to put one into action. You better put one into the world and we're going to record it together. But we need a title for it. It's like a book title, but titling videos is a skill and I'm going to teach you the basics of this skill. But remember, just keep going. Don't let the titles hold you up, put out there. What do you think is best at the moment? You can always come back and change it and it's never going to be a problem for you. So just keep moving, keep putting out what you think is best. Using this goes you've got and you'll be actually able to see how each titles performing and make your decisions based on that. So don't try and perfect it before it goes out there. Instead get people's feedback and when people actually watching it, and then change your next one, change in X1 and just improve one to 2% every single video. And after about a 100 videos, you're going to be an absolute beast, a titling your videos. So with that mindset instilled, you can see once again, there are two ways to title a video. One is the SEO, which we've talked about already. So if I go back on top in how to invest, you can see how to invest in real estate, how to invest in stocks, had to invest in stocks for beginners. This could just be your tied off. We search it, had to invest in stocks for beginners, 20-20 step-by-step guide. That is a great title that Tommy Bryson has popped up there because he's reverse engineered the demand. He knows the demand is there for that key phrase, and that's exactly what he's titled. We can once again go how to invest in stocks. A space for beginners in Australia had to invest for begin as had invest in stocks for beginners in Hindi. If, if this is, remember, we want to keep it actually relevant to your audience. And what you teach is the thing that you need to remember. For each star, which is a stock investing platform, these will become your actual titles if you're trying to rank for the search words, that's very, very easy way to title things. You don't have to overthink. These are all just go for whatever the biggest demand is. And once again, use Google Trends for this. It's gonna really help you. I'm just gonna do one more example to make sure, you know, by go. When do you, when do you get the apple skin that when do you stop making money on YouTube, he would go. So I'm teaching YouTube right now. When do you start making money on YouTube? This would be the title of the video if I created it. And you can see no one's really actually married that has_many substitute need to make a thousand dollars on YouTube is the one that comes up first. When does Youtube stop paying five ways to make money on youtube, a small channel, if you really want to start making on this daily. So this is actually is a good example of the second type of tablet we need to do. This is not an SEO title. This is what's called a potential viral title. Before we get onto that, you can see that if you're making an SEO title, you can also do the little asterisks, backslash YouTube. Before teaching YouTube, you can see that actually isn't much there, so we'll go something else for now. Real estate. We'll say investing for beginners. That would be the title right there. Real estate agent Dana life, that would be the title and the content right there. So very, very easy for you to do. And you can add in 202020222024 whenever the year that you actually publishing is to make sure that people know it's up to date. There the simple ones now the viral ones are little bit more. Hod, and this one is a good example of it. Investing won't make you rich brackets. Probably it's got 363 thousand views. And this is not an SEO video. I type this in because I know how people title things for actual viral videos, but no-one's searching for investing weren't make you rich. This is something that's being shared on their recommended, either on the homepage or down the side when you're watching a video or popping up as an auto play after you watching your video. These are ones that you want to really think about if what's going to create. But basically it's a little bit hard to explain, but you want to know what's grabbing people's attention. What do they already thinking that you can need to confirm or deny? Lot of people trying to get rich, that's why they're investing and this person's being the contrarians and investing won't make you rich. If you are here trying to get rich and investing, you're gonna click on that because one, you're not gonna find it in such results. It's going to be in deciding where y on actually becoming rich. He's got no Lamborghini in the background, which is very evident of what people are actually wanting. Now, a cool way to actually find out some Qu, viral video ideas is you can come in and haven't done this yet. So we'll do this live together, come into these people's channels. Insult by most popular. And you can see the Greek, the Greek debt crisis, five-minute history lesson, The Great Depression five and a history lesson. These two, uh, probably a little bit SEO, but probably not that much, quite viral. And you can see a lot of these are actually SEO one so easy normally don't SEO the one we stumbled across is actually one of these FES virals. But mock robo. Remember we went through mock rubber is an example of the stuff he does. A lot of viral style videos, things that just pique your curiosity. Things that I'm making you being like, oh, I wonder what is in that video now gonna get posses lives. We're going to do what we told you would do. We'd go to most popular Skinner watermelon party trick. No one was searching for skin, a watermelon people didn't even know what Skinner watermelon meant, but really catchy done them. You know, how, how did you get this watermelon out of this in a pure font? Spoil it for you because I have watched it. He's used a second-order Mellon and he and then he basically to all the watermelon out of the first one through the watermelon away and then slowly took off the skin and the second one and then put it in the first one bank a 107 million views because people are really, really curious about this. Package. Thief verse lit up bom, bom trap is a great example of one. Tidal and thumb playing into each other like this is a very, very thought-provoking curiosity, invoking thumb and title, but they're not SEO. And you can come into your competitors, can come into your, your friends, whatever you wanna call them, into their channels, into the videos and see what are they actually doing? What are they actually doing? Well, what's taking off? And if you keep doing this, and you're going to find Russell Brand is another guy I follow over here. You can see he's probably not going to be doing many SEO videos, but a lot of shareable one. So these are all long time ago, one year ago, I meditate every, I meditated every day and this is what happened to me. It is an incredible viral style video. You know, it's not going to be how to meditate will begin is it's not coming up for that, but it's going through YouTube's viral sharing mechanisms because it's interesting looking thumbnail you can see he's got this is what basically has happened to him or what he's visualizing. It's very curious. You can tell it's a talking head from the actual thumbnail. And people want to know this is created curiosity. So if you're going for the Curiosity invoking titles and thumbnails, makes sure there is a story got, make sure people like, I need you've opened a gap in my mind and I need it closed. And the only way to get a closed is by this video, What happens when you meditate every day? That is, the story get when you go to mock robe is disliked. Its story gap is, how do you actually get a watermelon to look like that? And that's how things go viral because people just really need that story gap closed and you can come in and you can see what's already working. What is already working is the key to your success. You don't need to reinvent the wheel. You don't need to do anything crazy or different or difficult to stop. You need to understand what's already working, replicate that and then innovate on that after we're replicating it. And you're going to do very, very well. So either you're going to be choosing an SEO style name or viral style name based on the type of content. What style of content you're going to do, whether it's a Screenshare, a talking head and gaming one at practical one, you know what's going to suit you best for you first 100 videos, you know how to make your thumbnail and you're ready to go because you also know the last thing we'd call it is that demand cannot be manufactured. So you're all set, you all ready to go. I want to show you the software is you need to start using and the mindsets and the hardware's and you want to script on, not nasa. We're gonna get into the video creating process together.
9. Perfectionism: Awesome. So this might be the most important lecture in this entire course. If you can master this, you are basically destined to do extremely well on YouTube because this is when 99% of people get stuck. I've made a very cool looking graphic for you to represent what I mean. And then we're gonna go back into the field, back onto YouTube. And I'm going to show you how the best people that people who you love currently look up to you on YouTube actually obey this rule. Because if they didn't, there would not be big like they are. Now. This is the mono and you can put this on your wall and put this in your notes, and put this somewhere. But you must, must abide by this, a new note if you're good or bad at this, and most people are bad at this. To start, including myself, is perfect, is the lowest standard. Having a perfect video is the worst thing that you can actually do. And as few reasons why. One, because there is no such thing as perfect. And also to your definition of perfect is much different to your audience's definition of perfect. And your audiences definition of perfect is the accurate one, not yours. And you can see there's a publishable line. You can see good is above perfect. A good video is so, so, so much better than perfect video because it gets you practiced. It gets you confident about putting things out. It gets you feedback on your work and get it lets you grow it lets you publish more content, perfect content as if you go and look at someone who's trying to perfect their content, their channel always dies after about 3456 videos, they just lose interest because it's not fun. They don't get the, they get worse results and actually publishing just good videos. In London don't even get to publish most people who are perfectionist, Most people who others artists who take a lot of pride and put themselves in their work. They too afraid to put themselves out there so you can embody this. The only thing that is publishable on YouTube above the published line is good videos. You can then transform these good videos into great videos. Once you've done ten m, Once you've done 50 of them, once you've done a 100 of them because you know, you know what works well, you know what your people want, you know how to get better at speaking. You've had the practice. That's the only way you can go from good to great is actually through practice, not by sitting in your room planning out a video. Perfect videos. Don't get published. Now, this I hope I've drilled into your head enough. What I want to show you is how anybody who's currently successful on YouTube or currently successful at anything in life once really sucked at it. No. 199% of people are not born world-class at anything and anything, especially YouTube. Youtube takes time it, you'd take videos, you should takes practice. Now, PewDiePie, he says the most subscribed to channel. I'm sure you've heard of PD PI. If you haven't yet, a 106 million subscribers, you know, he is absolutely dominating. On YouTube, I think he might be not the most anymore, but he's the most walk person is one guy who has this massive grabs another big studio. So he's absolutely crushing it. But he didn't start at a 106 million subscribers. He started at 0, like all of us. And before you record your first video, you need to remember this stuff in you remember, if I try and perfect this video, it doesn't work. I will never get it out. And perfect is the lowest standard. Good is the highest standard when you're starting. If we go back to, you can see posts every day because he wants to get as much content as possible because each piece of content is millions of views. So if you're gonna miss a day missing millions of views, essentially, back to oldest content nine years ago. Now. It has 16 million views because he's PewDiePie and everyone goes back and watches his old content. But when he put that out, he would have only had a handful of US 1015 Views maximum. Now that just doesn't work that way. You don't put it out and get a million views on your first video until you become big and people actually go back and watch it. But you will actually be able to see, and if you go back and watch these videos, especially the ones where you can see his actual face. They have a lot of use now, but don't be confused by that. You can see that they're not perfect. You know, he's lighting setup to weird. He's in a kitchen, his talking to the camera. So you still know Ryan is a game. So it's a it's a lot of it's as little pressure as possible, but, you know, it's so much different to where he's at. Now if you have a look at this setup and then let's go have a look at the set up. Is that now, which still I believe isn't perfect because you'll never get perfect. You will just get better and better. That is most popular. Let's go newest. So this is his latest one. Let's go into where he is. Cool. You can see Studio, you know, it's a lot but it's got a camera set up, it's got a nice chair. He's got them by sliding. He gets better and better with every single video, he's gotten much better lighting. And you can see this is a nice house. We can still see the camera. You know, he's like he's very casually can still there lighting setup. It's almost the imperfection or the good is more relatable. People actually like it better. Graeme Stephens is another guy who's really blowing up at the moment is you've got to go and 36 million subs buddies momentum is absolutely incredible. If you go to the newest videos, you can see gets a couple 100 thousand views, couple 100 thousand years, a couple 100 thousand views. Every single video within a day or within a week, he has about 0.5 million views in a niche that is very, very hard to do this in, in personal finance and real estate, which is just incredible. But if you go back through his oldest videos, like you can go back to anyone's oldest videos. These thumbnails, very, very simple. You know, not, not exciting at all, lot less views. And once again, people go back once they become successful. But have a look at this. If we go and watch this video here is set very similar to P pi. We had lighting. He does have a nicer background. I'm sure he's not as good on camera for someone else. We're very much not as good on camera. I suggest you do this for your own IG. What's Graham Stephan. So I know what he's like these days, but I suggest you go back and watch whoever it is that you look up to whoever it is that is successful and you Aneesh, go back to the start, go way back to the stop. Another good one is Joe Rogan, and I've used this one at him a couple of times. But let's have a look at his earliest videos at NIH enough, he published them all on YouTube, but we will be able to find out, let's go back to oldest 70 years ago. Have a look at this. It's a three-hour podcast. There are there is that this is more professional. It's it's, it's 3000 podcasts. I guess that's why he's, you know, he's already done 300 kilometers, done a 100 video challenge plus 200 more. But still it's a lot more casual than it is these days at even very, very blurry. If we go to the recent ones, you get the, you get the idea that, you know, a new studio there. But this is, you know, he's got he's got the big names on there. He's got a big, big guest because he's putting the work is done 1500 of these podcasts and videos, but you can see, if I can get a clip of him. It's much cleaner, it's much more professional. The mikes up better, it sounds better. He is practicing by putting out at the start good videos, go through and do this with anybody you watch anybody or a really good last one we can do together is Mr. beast. And if you need to keep watching this video over and over, or you need to go and you need to put these early videos on your wall or play their early videos in the shower in the morning. To motivate you to overcome those initial hurdles. Nobody has blown up overnight, consistent and sustained that success. Everybody said Mr. beast is his literary. The biggest There is by far these days edge to show you because it's a very interesting, we've gotta Social Blade. And we'll put popping in entrepreneur Academy. This is our channel, Academy YouTube channel here we can see we just crossed the 10 thousand mock, which is, which feels good, but it's more about views then den subscribers. And you can see our views are on the uptake, so we expect this to exponentially continuous. We continue to add value. You can see we get about 90 thousand views a month currently. If we wanna go to sunlight crystalline command is one of my friends and I am an example we've used already. You can see they get way more than us. They get 7 million views a month. If you want to go to someone like and, and formula to describe it screams defind even is a good one. I think it's a ph. Is the pH. He's doing insanely well. He's got 9 million views in the last 30 days. And that's the real number that I focused on. That's the row number that shows you the momentum and be channel because you can have a 100 million subscribers but no views anymore and he channels just dying. Let's have a look at Logan Paul, I haven't seen him in a while. It's a very big YouTube if you're, I know of who he is, 22 million subs. And you can see you get 60 million views in the last 30 days, which is insane, absolutely incredible. If you go to someone like Mr. beast though, and you go and see him and if he used his getting in the last 30 days, he has 436 million views is what is the, it's about seven times what Logan polls getting. It's absolutely insane, absolutely incredible, and he's absolutely crushing it. So let's go back and see where he started. Because you can see now that we saw by most popular and we want to sort by newest. First of all, you can see he just gets the tens of millions of views every time he pops up a video, he's absolutely crushed it. But if we go back to newest, let's have a look. Sorry, not new to us. We want to get back to oldest. Let's have a look what you've done eight years ago. Now remember, the videos are going to get more, looks very similar to people actually, which is very interesting. The video's gonna get more views as people go back and watch him. Remember, it gets 0.5 billion views a month. So the views are going to be down here as well. And if you want to go and watch any of these videos, I'm going to scroll down to. I'm going to go down to one where you can actually start to seize face. Yet she started doing videos on other, on other people such as PD PI. Let's have a look. These all gaming videos. Gaming videos, where do you first show your face, mr. bass, you can see this is a 100 video challenge. This is a hilarious but he's thumbnail, these risks thumbnail. So you know, they're not perfect, but he just made content, made contact made content. And here we go. Here is a video of him four years ago. Now. You can actually see any had 8700 subscribers four years ago. And now he has 42 million subscribers. You can see it's very casual, is sitting in his bedroom. It's a low camera angle. We there's underlying, it's not perfect. And It's a fascinating thing to come back and watch. And you wanna do this for anybody who look up to anyone in the industry is doing well, know that they started exactly where you are now I started with 0. They started with 0 subscribers. But what they did start with that you may not have had before. This is the mindset that good is better than perfect. If you are thinking that you need to perfect your videos, you are not going to succeed in the long-term. It's the worst thing that you can be doing. If you know that good is better than perfect. And you printed out you're a 100 day challenge sheet, I'm sorry, a 100 video challenge sheet which you can do in a 100 days, which would be very admirable. This is when you're going to be successful. And I hope that this gets the message across.
10. Software and Editing: Awesome. So I wanted to show you the software that I use to make YouTube videos and even the software I use to make this video. I'm also gonna give you a couple of other options. I'm going to walk you through them depending on what type of video you want to create. The biggest takeaway from this pie, I'm speaking to you very candidly here is you need to use whatever software is going to make it easiest for you. If you're not editing, if you're not doing many, much post-production, just use your iPhone. Just use your Mac book length, just use your whatever PC you have, your iPad. Just record using those cameras and upload it straight away. You don't need to worry that need to edit. You don't need to put an intro our Tron, just get those videos up, get to a 100 videos. If you're doing something that needs some editing and something that needs some backend. And it'll depend on what video you making any may need to test all these. You know, I've tested whiteboard videos. You can see these whiteboard video and making it the moments little bit messy. So don't judge me there. I've done screen recording videos like the one I'm showing you right now. I'm recording my screen. I've done talking head, which I'm sure you've seen if you this firing, what I just talked straight to you in the camera and upload it straight away. There's a lot of different videos that you can create any needed decide like you have your video style. And then you need to use one of these three tools, or just a plain camera. And don't overthink the camera either members down with your phone. Don't go out and buy a $3 thousand camera to try and make it look better if people don't really like it, people like to be able to relate to you. They like the casual scene. So just use your phone and get a little tripod for it if you want or a hand-held tripod. But once you've got the footage, you want to be able to edit it and you want to may want to be able to record your screen like I am here. Obs, Open Broadcaster Software. The first recommendation I have because it's free and you can do a lot with OBS. I don't currently use it, but I have used in the past. But the big thing is you can use it on any platform that you want. So if you have a Mac or you have a window, so hearing running Linux, you can use this software and it's very self-explanatory. And this and tutorials on YouTube which you can jump into and see exactly how it works if this is for you, however, this is not the one that I use, just a recommendation. If you need it to be free, you don't have a lot of money at the moment. All you needed to work on one of these systems, use OBS. The second one, which I used for quite a few years and it works on PC and it does work. Mac as well is Camtasia. And this basically the only reason I was one of the first softwares where you could record your actual screen as you, as you go. Inside of a sort of looks like this right here. Very simple, very easy. You can edit the tracks. You have one free microphone, 150Q ham, I want for sound effects on transitions. Very simple. I'd recommend this one if you have a couple of $100 to spend in your budget and you have a PC, go for Camtasia, that's where I started. Have experience. I recommend things that I have experienced with. I really did like it. However. I then found ScreenFlow. Screenflow unfortunate is just for Mac. So if you don't have a Mac, go to one of the other two that I've recommended. If you do have a Mac, I really, really love Screenflow and not affiliated with them in any way or any of these other things. These are just the things that I actually use an actually really like. In fact, I'm using Screenflow to record all my stuff, including this one that you're listening to right now. So ScreenFlow down here, you can see it's installed. You can also get a free trial. I think of this n Camtasia Studio gave free trials and test out what you'd like. I'm going to open ScreenFlow here. And this is a very meta video because this is the training that you just watched. I just recorded a twelv minute module for this course. And this was it. And I can scroll through it. And you can see this is what we just went through and walk through together. Now it's very simple and simplicity and efficiency is the key here because we're going to scale. Remember we're trying to get a 100 good videos out there to learn the process, to learn the skills to get our count momentum moving. And you can see there's one trachea, which is the video track. And there's one track here, which is my microphone track. Now I'm gonna go through a microphone and hardware very soon with you. But just know that I have a microphone here on my desk that i'm talking to right now. That's what you're listening to. And I have the screen recording for my actual screen. Now, I'm pretty sure this is going to work. Oh, I can't I can't add a recording, but there are other other options that I can add. I have two screens because I use two screens on my laptop, so I can also record my laptop. I can also record my iPhone using this software and they will just be pulled into another track. I can also record my face on my video camera, which would just be pulled into another track. And this makes things so easy to edit is because if you want to cut something out, and actually I can show you what I've done here. I make one I made one cut on this video. And if I can go back oh, I can't because I've saved it. Let's see if I can pull it out here. I can't because I've saved it. But essentially, when I make a mistake, I blow into the microphone and then I'll get a lodge. And this is gonna save you a lot of time. A large spike in the audio right here. You just see like instead of going up, down, up, down here, up to here, and down to there. And all I know is, okay, great. This is the spike in the audio. This is where I need to cut it. I'll click on it. And now Push Command T. I'm sorry, I'm a little bit confused it. So it's more natural thing, it's just t, just push t and it's going to split the clip. And if I wanted to split it back and zoom in to make sure it's at the right spot. I can split it there and I can delete that bit and then I can cover that mistake that I made. And fortunately, because I'm doing a very casual sort of conversation, even you saw there is Ohno, it's gone. You saw that big spike when i from its memory, that's gone. So you can understand when I make mistakes and when I slip over my words, push command teens. So T, I sort of just brush it off casually, which makes very, very little editing because you don't want perfect either. You want me to slip up a little bit. So because, you know, you're gonna slip up a little bit and I do slip up a lot and I just make sure that I keep them in there. And when I go into the video knowing I'm going to keep these things in there. It's very, very easy to edit and very casual. And I know it's okay to make a couple of slip-ups here in that because it brings us closer. So ScreenFlow is very, very good. I highly recommend it. You can have a global library here. So what I would tend to do is have something like this, which is a backing track. You can come up here and you can turn the volume way down, turn deadlock 1% essentially, and then you'll have a backing track. Well, you know, if you can hear that, I know the other thing you can actually do, which I don't have turned on it, is I can record my computer audio and have a computer audio one down here. But you can see it's all very simple. All have individual tracks. You will literally learned this in a day. And once again, if you go casual and you don't try and make everything perfect and you don't mind if you make a mistake or two. You can use Screenflow and get your videos edited. And really no time actually, I'm lucky to have a couple of video editors on the team. So what I do is I don't have much in my library of global library, but the last thing I will touch on over here for us is the library here is a lot of overlays. So if you wanted, so I'm talking about perfect. I could type in perfect Tia and something will come up that I can, that I could pop over the screen like Hello, I'm perfect. Or it's a library that you can just drag and drop things in. And they'll be in the actual video. Which is very, very handy but unlucky to have couple editors who very good at what they do and they go into this for me. So I give them this in the raw file and then it'll come back to me in a fully edited file. Then don't spend too long on it because it once again, good is better than perfect. And they'll put an intro and outro couple of transitions on a little bit of music. They'll probably take them ten minutes. And I'm already off recording next one by the time they're doing that. So we are really getting this content out there because we know that volume is key. Learning the skills is keen having the machine in place. So to recap, use ScreenFlow on a Mac. If you have a budget, Camtasia on a PC, if you have a big budget or OBS, if you have no money at the moment to just bend towards this at least. And it just getting started learning the ropes.
11. Hardware: Awesome, so I need now to talk to you about hardware. We know everything else, but you need to actually record your videos. And I'm gonna keep saying this over and over again. The most important thing that you do is to just stop, just stop with whatever you have. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars or hundreds of dollars even you can just start using the microphone on your phone, using the microphone on your computer or whatever the thing that you're watching me on right now, that is a good start. It doesn't have to be perfect. If however, you have a budget and you'd like to start with some higher quality equipment. I'm going to show you what I use and then how to find out what other people who have an effect or doing something that you wanna do, how to find out exactly what they use and be able to replicate that. So now that you know, you need to start and this can't hold you back like you can have this on the way, but make videos as this is on the way, you use your microphone and get started while this is on the way. This is the microphone I use. I've used for a while. You can plug it straight into an iPhone, which is actually helpful sometimes. And you can plug it into your USB or USB-C port on your computer. Now, I also have it in the stand with a pop filter, which I'm gonna show you in just a second. But the big thing is microphones are more important than cameras. When people are listening and watching a video, they actually judge the quality of the video based on the sound and not on the video. If you have sort of a grainy style video, but it's really crispy and clean. There's so much background noise and there's a nice little tune and it's been well edited. Audio wise, they're gonna say, good, I was a high-quality video. But if you have really crisp graphics and then looking really good on video, but the microphone is fuzzy and static keen comes in and out, you're gonna save that was a poor quality video. Funny enough, 80% of quality will come down to the microphone that you're using. So if you're gonna invest in one, go for the microphone, and this one here is $250. I highly, highly, highly recommend it. Again, no affiliation. I've been using it for about six years now. And the good thing about it is you can turn down into its called a directional Mike. So you can note here I'm talking straight into the microphone. And if I go to the side a little bit, I don't know exactly what you're hearing, what you heard, but you should be a lot harder to hear it because it only records in one direction. Unlike a lot of microphones, they record in basically every direction around them. And this is great because it cuts out all noise apart from me talking directly into the mike. And there's little adjusted right here where you can filter out exactly how much of that noise you wanted to filter out. So highly recommend, it's called the IRIG Mike HD to keep an eye out for three or four comes out. And by the time you're watching this, but this is the one that I use and really love. The second thing I have is called a pot of death. Now this attaches onto the stand, which I'll show in a second. Very, very cheap. And it basically for the peace that tease the BCE. They sound quite harsh and a lot of time they match, you blow the mike out. They got like a heart sound might blow them Mike out quite a bit. And the pop filter takes the edge off those sounds. Not necessary, does look professional. I know you've probably seen that I have my microphone in the screen sometimes. And it looks a lot more professional when you see someone with a pop filter on as well. So it does add the visual element as well as allowing the sound to be a little bit better. Then I also have a microphone stand and also all this stuff guys, you can get if, if you're a little bit more reserved with your capital, you don't have enough to spend on this the moment. You can get all this stuff on Amazon for about half the price. It's the ones that I'm actually using. But, you know, you can get the standard for like 30 bucks on Amazon. I do like having a solid stand myself. Assumes I bought this one. I'd been using cheapest stands. And, but this one I'm like element got this incredible. K and m, two 59 dash b microphone stand. I put my microphone on the end of here and I have it on the side of my desk. My desk is under here, and then I have the pop filter attached and the microphone attached there. And I just stays there. I can turn it side to side when I'm not using I'm at my desk and when I need to record, I just turn it into next to my mouth and I start recording and talking. These are what I get. Now my camera I have not used. I have actually in the past I've used my iPhone because it's 1080 and I actually have bought an expensive camera to use, but it just adds so much headache because you have to go from, for example, if we go Canon camera, DSLR, if you buy like one of these $5 thousand cameras, even $1000 cameras, it records onto a cod thing. You have to take the Carnap and import it into Screenflow, which takes some time. And then when you export it, such a big heavy file because it's much more HD than the one you pop in you and you've gotten your webcam, it slows the process down and probably two or three x two or three times that is. And It's just hold you back from getting a lot of content out there. Now as you progress, you can get editors to do this for, you, can have countermanded in this for you. But at the start, I just go for whatever the most efficient, quickest way is. In fact, MacBooks. Unfortunately, I bought a new MacBook this year and I'm like Finally they may upgrade that camera, the 1080. But no, it's still 720 and all my videos come out in 720 and it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter at all. It makes no difference on how well they go and still waiting for the MacBook camera to be 1080, so it can be pulled straight into ScreenFlow at 1080. But for now I'm still using 720 because you know, it's not perfect and it's never going to be perfect, but it's just gets better and better as the years go on. And once again, people who don't want prefix. So the eye using this, I can understand some people are tied to this and buffer this and in some niches it probably necessary. But just make sure that you've started as quickly as possible in this stuff is not holding it back. This is not any indication of how well you're going to do. But if you want to know what your favorite YouTube is you're using, if you want to know what the people who've looked professional using, you can a lot of the time, Graham Stephanus's go today youtube video and come down in the description and then gonna link on an amputee Pi does this. And a lot of people actually do this. They're, they're gonna link here touching an affiliate links. So if you buy through this, they get a little kickback from Amazon. But they have a shop set up on Amazon, whether it's added, what they use are these the cameras that grain Muses these, the lights that he uses, his that microphone, that cod. This is a nice background stuff in the background like the lights. I don't know if we can achieve Sam, I guess isn't picture frames up there and then cactus they go is these little plaque on his desk and he's camera battery. So you can see it's a lot of equipment hand it's too much for me, but he's a, he's a much bigger and much more serious YouTube is. So he's got the whole setup going, which works for him, but it's just going to take a lot more time on the editing side and more time and dedication to get just one video up. And so you can come in and you can see, cool, it's great stuff and have a Youtube video sort of like I want it. And if he does, go go and buy the stuff that he buys, if I have videos like you wanted, don't buy the stuff that I buy. If, if PD PI has the setup you want gone by the subnet, PD PI buys and whoever it is in each, they're going to have a link down there. Because if they do make quite a bit of money by recommending this stuff. But the biggest thing you can take away from this, remember, is just to get started, go and stop recording with whatever equipment is easiest for you to do with.
12. Scripting: Awesome, so I'm actually recording a new screen over here now. I want to talk to you about should you have a script or should you not? Very straightforward lecture? And the answer is not simple. It basically depends. A lot of the time, probably 90% of the time you don't want a script. If you are too scripted, people can hear it in your voice. People can think you're not genuine and understand that the script can be helpful, especially if you nervous. But you really want to just come down and talk to people one on one as if you're talking to your family members. Just imagine them behind the screen and just explain whatever your explained as if you explain it to your family member and you relax a lot. However, what I highly recommend you do, especially if you're doing a talking head, which is talking to the camera, is do what? I do a lot of the time if I need prompting. So I made a course on Squarespace, which is how to create a website. And I don't have a script because I don't want to come across like a robot. But what I do have is just five documents in a video that I wanted to put in. This is what I put on the screen just to prompt me and I drag it over this side. I put it right here in the middle of the screen because my Canvas just above my mouse here, just like on a normal MacBook. And if I put it here on the screen on top, it looks like I'm looking at the camera and not away from the camera. And maybe it looks like I'm looking down a little bit, but it just sort of looks like I'm thinking people don't know that I'm reading notes down here. And for when I'm looking at the camera, I put just sometimes even two or three things that I want to remember, especially for the hot of videos expressed space. That's not really what I normally talk about when I'm talking about YouTube or Instagram or social media or Amazon. These are things I know really well and I can just riff and until very naturally spread Squarespace it wasn't. So I made a little note. You can see there's a couple of months ago now. And basically it would go like this. So I look at the camera and be like, Hey guys, welcome. I'm excited to show you about Squarespace because it's such an incredible tool. We're going to start from square one together and build a website from scratch. It doesn't matter what nice you're in. It doesn't matter if you're just getting started with your brand or your business. I'm going to show you all the mistakes that most begun as mink, how to avoid them. I'm really excited to get started. So let's jump in. And you can see that I just riff off this and it keeps me sort of on track. I can, I can go a little bit rogue oven and point number three, and I know that point number four will pull me back to where I need to be. So highly recommend you do this for yourself, for what? For videos that you need assistance with or framework to keep you on track. However, you're gonna get better and better at it. Like when I first started at o, you can watch some of my LA YouTube videos. I live a turn the camera on is you're studying, yelling at the video for some reason every time after recorded a video at a really sore throat and I didn't realize until I look back now, I just was yelling at the at the camera and I don't even I still don't know why. And now I try and sit back and now I try and imagine a close friend or family member behind the camera, someone who I'm talking to and it becomes much more authentic, much less like a show and really helpful for people. So remember, practices perfect. You're not going to be perfect on day one unless you've had practice already in some other arena. And if you have great and if you haven't, that's where we're all starting. So grow that skill, get better and better with each video. Don't read on the script unless you really, really have to send prompt yourself and prompt yourself really simply and get good at expanding on those points and going rogue on the fly.
13. Exporting and Uploading: Awesome. So once you have recorded your content, this is how you actually get an exported, Get it up onto YouTube. So you can see here, this is actually really cool that I'm showing you this too because I'm going to zoom in. I use Screenflow like I've shared with you. I actually record multiple videos into the same file. So you can see a 117119123, these memory and do the a 100 video challenge down during the 1000 video challenge. These are literally the numbers of the videos that I'm putting out there. And you can see this is four minutes long and this one's about seven minutes long. This one's about six minutes long. And this is just the audio and the video. Since this video and audio in one file. Now very, very simple. You can see, you can scroll through there and it's just me talking to the mic. You can see of course is the microphone and the stem. Ok. France, Dan, and the pop filter we talked about. Very simple. I've got facing a corner over here. So it gives it more like a 3d effect to go a little bit of a background setup over here. Some books in their close this because it's so bright outside otherwise. And I just turned the microphone and I talked to it and then I give this to my editors. And if you don't have editors, Once again, you come in here and you edited it, push the T button and move things around and you stack things. You can add effects to it. It's very, very simple. You can learn this in a day. Remember, you've got a global library over here and you can drag them in on top. The global library also, sound effects if you want like a pop News, think, isn't it? Multimedia pops right here. If I drag that in and then we zoom in on it. You can see when we play, we can cut one of those pop noises Out. And if I'm putting some on the skin, it's poppy. You can just put this right over the pop noise now. Very simple, very easy. It's very easy skill to learn and subsequently at this select or back, so I can delete that. And you just edit these three and add one to edit three, and then you export it. So I push I. And then I go to the end of the video here and I push, Oh, so in an apt and once its export, once you've got the little edits on there that you need, and please don't over edit your videos. Don't waste a days doing this. Just literally spend 35 minutes, 45 minutes at the start to edit that video and get it to where you need to be. And then you can have the template set up so the intros automatically there and the background music is already there and the outros there. And then just a couple of Popovers. Do not waste too much time here. But I can go down to file and you go export selected range. So I've selected the range we want export here, and now export into an MP4 file. We can actually select what sort of MP4 file you want to name it here. So you'd call it Video 117, hashtag hacking. Was this video. Look at type it. We know what I would normally type way on export it to make sure it's 1920 by 1080. That's what this size on YouTube is. And that is your first video. That's your second video. You're a 117th video depending on where you actually up. Now you need to get that onto YouTube. And I hope we're moving uncomfortably fast. That would be ideal because a lot of people. Way too slow for this. So we go over to YouTube. We login. We have a new studio, which is actually very interesting. You go up to air your main accounts. The one I'm using here is entrepreneurial academy, you can say have a few definitely counts. This one, there's another one that I've grown. The rest of them are basically 0. But this is the one we're talking about now. And what you do is you come up with videos. And you can see this is where all the videos go. To add a new video, you can click on the Create button, upload videos, select the file from your desktop. So you can see this is the course I'm making right now. But Instagram hashtag don't NP full ten to 15 megabytes. So there's going to be quite a bit big to upload and upload it. And you simply have to typing entitled type in your description here. And then upload our thumbnail, which we've created together, put it into a playlist. So if there's a playlist that you've created, if not, don't worry about it, it's not important to get started and get your first 100 videos out before you start worrying about that stuff. Monetization will kick in once you hit full thousand watch hours and 1000 subscribers. That's the current minimum requirement in order for you to put ads on your video and start making money off the views of monetization, we'll start off, but once you can turn it on, puppet on and 30 ads on their YouTube, who promote your video further because you are making them money as well with your videos. You can add an end screen or cards on w videos, but once again, not important. Now that gate, what's important is that you're cranking these out, knowing the process and focusing on how can you get higher and higher quality with the same amount of effort? How can you build your skills, build your processes, and build your team to really take this by storm and have something that you're proud of and have something that's moving. It's not perfect, but it's moving and it's growing. Then you simply just click Save. So we come across and you can see the video that we just uploaded is here. So I'm actually just going to delete this video. Delete him in there. Because you just saw the process on had uploaded and how everything how you can get yours up here after you edit an export. And you can see it's a bunch of these ones that are scheduled right here. And these are the ones who have already done, remember we do them in BOC, we batch these out because it's otherwise a waste of everybody's time to try and do one every single day. When we can do ten in a day or we can do five in a day or even three in a day is starting. Remember, start wherever you are comfortable and you will find the process gets easier and easier and easier. It's almost like making dinner every night. The first time you make dinner, gonna take couple hours. By the time you make a 100 dinners, you can whip it Dana up in about 10-15 minutes and have it be even Nehemiah than that first dinner. And you can see we have the next one is scheduled out, so our videos go out at 3pm, September 11 here. This one here, three PM, September 12th, this on hand, 3pm, September 13. This one here. Three PM, September 14. And if you want to change it, just click in here and schedule a time. And you can see you always want to be a week or two ahead. So if things get busy or things get full, schedule gets full, just still got the video consistency going out because the momentum when the channel is so, so critical. And anytime you want to edit a video, click that little pen tool. Come in, you can upload your thumbnails here you can choose a still shot for a thumbnail. You can change your description of what's going to go in there, which we're going to be talking to you about in just a second. You can change any of this stuff in here such as UN Kaj, end screen. And screen is what do people see at the end of the video. You can pop in something so that they can actually click on the end screen and they can go to other videos. So you can see we still aren't really using integrated in that because it doesn't matter that much. What matters is that we've got consistent, high-quality content going up. That's basically it, that's the process. And once you get over the perfectionism and once you're excited and passionate about bringing your fans value, that's when you're gonna get really good at this. That's when you're gonna be focused on the process over the actual perfection of it. And that's when you're going to take off and you're going to grow very quickly. And if we jump over to the analytics, we can see we go last there and a 65 days. You can see we grew very, very quickly and run a big trend over time because we haven't been held back by perfection. And this isn't, this isn't exponential growth rate here. Even in the last 28 days, from averaging twenty eight hundred, twenty five hundred and twenty seven hundred views to up to 3800 views. So we've almost had a 3540% percent increase in our channel just in the last 28 days. And that's just gonna keep growing and growing and growing. And this is going to become more and more substantial as well at the memoir at about $15 a day in AdSense. But if we go back to when we first got monetized, you can see we're only getting $5 day, so that's almost tripled in about two months. So that's going to triple again and again and again. And that's when you can really start to make really good money off YouTube. And it doesn't take that long if you model what I'm teaching you here in this course.
14. Description and Metadata: Awesome. So now you've got a video recorded and uploaded titled anthem. We need to talk about the description of your video along with a couple of other factors. And we're gonna be doing this in importance. In order of importance I should say. So. I'll put up here an example, one of my videos. And you can see down here, this is the description up here on the hashtags. And then it's also going to have something called tags, which you can't see from the outside. But you need to do it on the inside as you're uploading a video and a couple of other tips we're going to walk through together. So once you've uploaded your video and you go to the actual video details page, it's going to look something like this as a few variations, but it's all very, very similar. You've titled if thumbnail out and you've got this big box called the description. You need to describe your video. You need to describe what it is. Because YouTube, once again, is a search engine when you type something and it's gonna pull up the most relevant results. But very hard to know what a video is, robots and computers and algorithms. And they can read text obscenely well, but they can't actually pull the context from videos by just watching the screen. The best way they actually do that is they, they automate the closed captions of what's being said and then they just read what's being said and that's how they tell what's in a video. So in order to get the best results from your videos, especially if you're doing a search video, you need to have a really good description. And it doesn't need to be really long, but it just needs to be optimize. So the most powerful thing, apparently, these tags down there that hashtags, and you can see they appear even above the title on YouTube when you click on the video. And you can add the hashtags anyway in your description. But in order to get them, you just have to put the hash or the pound symbol in front of the word that you want. And the woods that you want a going to be the ones that you're trying to rank full or the ones that are relevant. I also like to use entrepreneur Academy, which is obviously a channel name to link all of our videos together. Because what happens then is that when you're on the actual YouTube page and I've got a blocked. If I could just get up here to my I want to go in here and then remove recommendations. So it's just a little app I use, so don't get too distracted by all these YouTube recommendations should write recommendations. You can see that the next videos I'll entrepreneur Academy recommended over here, entrepreneur academy over here, partly because I'm linking them all together with the hashtag. So if you want to have your videos, is another one of FETS suggested in the actual sidebar and suggested at the end screen DAW, or when you finish your video, you want to have a link, a common thread between all of your videos in order to get that happened. Just gonna turn that off so we don't get distracted. I like to use YouTube as specifically as an active search if I want to watch something and it is search it and not spend the countless hours that I have in the past, just consuming it very passively because time gets away from you and I'm I never I always regret it, so I try and take precautions ahead of time. But once you've got the hashtags, that's the most important thing for SEO, that's the most important thing for recommendations. You wanna get the tags in. Now you can see the tags down here. These are just keywords, a bunch of keywords that help the algorithm understand what's in your video. Remember, that's hard for them to decode what is in your video. So you have to help them not just with the description, but also with. The tags down here. Now, there's a software called vid IQ and we'll link it up for you in the, in the resources of this training. We use it. We have gone on and off the premium version, but you should definitely be using at least the free version of, but I think it's about 50 bucks a month for the basic one. But the has some features of it which are really, really incredible, especially when it comes to actually using the tags. So that they'll have a cool features like how to do video research and pick the best topics. View velocity is one thing that I really, really like. So, you know, hey, when you go to a YouTube channel, like we have been in the past, you can sort by most viewed. So we'd get videos and then we go most popular. This doesn't show what's currently most popular. It's almost like if you're looking at the Billboard top songs and it shows you only historically what the best songs in history. Ah, so you may have like D'Esposito up there. You may have the beatles, you may have Elvis. You may have some Jay-Z in there. And it shows you over the last like a 100 years what the most popular songs. But that doesn't show you what's popular right now. So if you start to make music like Elvis, it's not going to go as well as we start to make music like the actual current charts. So when you install vid IQ, there'll be a little tab here and be one of these extensions up here. And it'll be called, what do they call it? It's like a velocity. And it shows you what currently has had the most views in the last alpha, which is a very, very cool tool. But the main reason we will use this and unconscious you find that here is, and I don't do the tags because I don't actually upload an organized my videos. I have someone do that for me. They use it in order to pull my competitors tags into this tag bucks right here. So they go and see what my competitors who are ranking highest for the search words that I want to rank full. And they pulled those tags and copy those tags into here because we know these tags work the best. So I highly recommend using vid IQ in order to pull your competitors tags. And we just simply just look like a box that's sets up right here on once you've got it installed and you can pull the tags in. Otherwise you can go and you can look at your own tags and you can manually write them out. That's no problem with that at all. And just brought everything that is similar to your actual keyboard into actual video topic. Just help the ogre them understand what's going on. Now, we there description, I like to write a very short blurb. In the blurb, I like to recommend another video because this helps people watch more of your content, keeps, keeps people on YouTube for longer. And therefore, YouTube's going to reward your, your videos because you're keeping them on the job, on their platform. So just right and really simple, don't spend too much time, don't do all the autocorrect and things because no one really read this. It's basically for the algorithm to take five minutes to write out what is in the video, link up and other relevant video VOC can increase your watch time. Now, the most important thing that you do is you repeat all. You have a version of your title in the description. Very, very similar. Because what you wanna do is you almost want to triple up on your keywords, your tags, a tags, your title and your description should basically represent each other. And when you triple down on that, it's YouTube and going to see that as definitely the, the topic of the video. And they're going to rank it a lot higher. And you also need to know that the top three lines at the moment are above the fold. So anything you put a below the fold, you need to click show more full. So you wanna make sure that you use a top three lines wisely, we like to have a spare space here and just intrigued people. Click See More if they needed here. Any links you want it to be prominent. Pop up the top here as well. Now, the last thing I wanted to show you is timestamps. Now, you may see. So if we go, I'm just gonna type in maybe PewDiePie at yeah, think Charisma on Command have definitely started doing this. And let's have a look here. Although I have yet. So you can see the timestamps in the actual video that help people jump to that spot in the video. And I'm not sure why it's not doing it right now, but normally the video is actually broken down by these timestamps. So if it isn't yours, have gone this way. And if it's not, they've gone on taking this feature away. But you can see you can help people jump to certain timestamps. And YouTube actually indexes as well. They see what, in what part of which video and is the actual type of content. So this is really good for you. Keywords in here, just to break in video down by timestamps and help people link directly to a pot if they scroll down here and actually click on something in the description. So you can just simply put that in by just writing it out as if it's a time. So if you put 108, that's one minute. Oh, eight. And he's going to do that. I put the description next. Oh, we don't currently do timestamps and we will be doing in the future that once again, we're not perfect right now. And that's the key of this entire course. Don't be perfect, but keep moving US those four to five tips and tricks to get your descriptions to rank really highly, use vid IQ will link it up once again, I believe we have our own referral and KIP, which will give you a slightly better deal. I'm not sure that detailed, but we'll make sure we link that up for you. And if you wanted to use this, just use this as free as well. If you don't want to come hand fidelity to lodge budget to pay the monthly fee for that. But that will help you pull the tags from your competitors for completely free.
15. Scheduling and Batching: Awesome. So the last thing I just wanted to touch on again, because it's very, very important is video scheduling. Because remember, if you're not batching and if you're not doing that, a 100 video challenge and if you don't have a few video leeway to get ahead, you're going to fall behind. And YouTube is all about momentum, like a 100% about momentum. Subscribe his Bailey even matter anymore. But what does matter is the momentum of your channel. How quickly are you accelerating? How quickly are you abused, accelerating? Heck, we're creating videos accelerating, and how can you not break that momentum is the key. You can see we have been consistent now since January of this year, it's now September. And you can see the exponential returns that we are getting from this. And the only way we can do this is by making videos ahead of time. We don't want to be on a treadmill that never stops and we have to run for the rest of our life. We want to get ahead. And if we actually zoom out for the full lifetime, because we did pop up that QA and then decided against YouTube and then came back to it. You can see how quickly we're growing and this trend is only going to continue as we continue to put these videos every single day for the next two to three years, this channel, and you can come in here and check on it. You can just watch it absolutely exploded. But if you're not treating you tube like this, if you're trading YouTube as a very precious, precarious place where you pop the pop-up perfect videos. You have to understand that there are hundreds of thousands of videos going everyday and you're going to get lost in the noise. So now that you are definitely going to be batching and you're going to be doing two or three YouTube videos at once and getting head and not having to stress about him worried about it, falling off the wagon like everybody who doesn't treat it like this does. You need to learn how to schedule. Now, to schedule, it's very, very easy. And you can, even when you upload the video, you can have it click on this visibility could the schedule and set it whenever you want to actually set it, make sure you've got the time zones right. We like to set it at a 3pm Australian Eastern times m. We find that's the best. But the biggest thing is every niche and every different video topic is going to have a different ideal time to launch a video. What you need to do is you need to get into your video analytics. And you need to see how each video performance based on when you actually schedule it. Also go and see whether your competitors launching. So if for example one of our competitors, will, you just type in Instagram followers? And you can see Vanessa law, for example, when does she launched her videos? Because that is when we should be launching MPS. She's got a lot of data and a lot of similar followers to the ones that we've got. So we just need a copy what's already working for her because she's obviously very successful in this niche and doing extremely well. We need to go and use that competitors data, but we also need a split test for ourselves. So let's decide on 03:00 PM. But every fourth or fifth video we may put at a different time just to test it out and see how it goes. And then you want to keep testing so you can get consistent on that. But the biggest takeaway and why I'm mentioning scheduling a second time, you really need to take that a 100 video challenge. This needs to have revolutionized the way you see YouTube videos. It needs to revolutionize the way you approach it and don't be a perfectionist, but instead, put out content that your, that your fans want, put out content that's not perfect and you're going to have incredible results.
