1. Introduction: Hi, my name is Sophie. Neither novel. I'm an illustrator, fine artists. I do animation, I do music, and I have my game studio, which was called happy Daguerre studio. So as you can see, I'm really connected to art and I have connection to creativity. I love everything about art, about creating. I want to share this knowledge with you. Of course, I want to share with you my tips and tricks. But I think the most important part is the philosophy, the vision, my thoughts about art and creativity. And by doing so, I hope that you will develop as an artist and develop as a thinker. So I'm really happy to teach on skill share. I encourage you to take my classes. Thank you.
2. Class Project : Yeah, I'm so happy to introduce you to my class. I worked on this class for a really long time. And the class turned to be out longer than expected. Because I wanted to concentrate. Almost all the knowledge that I know about drawing flowers consciously. In this class, you will learn not only how to draw flowers beautifully and yeah, beautiful, but also to understand the flower structure. To really understand the flower as a whole and draw it was knowledge and understanding. So as graduate biologist specializing in botany field, I really think that it's important to understand what you are drawing if it's human, animal, or a plant. So I prepared for you this class to really understand what's behind the flower, actually, i and divided the class into four main parts. Firstly, I'm going to teach you the flower theory, the basics. Secondly, we are going to lose the sketch on paper from images that we found on internet. Certainly we are going to paint with watercolor. And the last step is to finish the image in Adobe fresco. So as you can see, this class is really concentrated. And if you're a person who wants to learn a variety of medium in one class. This class is for you. Also, if you want to understand flowers inside out and be a professional drawer and of plants, then this clause is also for you. Thank you. So some extra quick information, which is to say that the project will be to choose a flower and research pictures for it. Enjoy it. Don't worry, I will say it all in future videos. So don't worry. Let's move on.
3. Flower Theory: Hi, this is lesson is just an extra bonus section for this course. I created just for fun. And it was hoped that some of you will find this useful and little nice basis. Just drawing flowers consciously. I'm a great admirer of plants and I graduated with a major or in plant physiology. So I, I think that in order to draw flowers, you need to know some of its anatomy. And just like us humans and would like to take, because that was me into flour and that to me. Very happy to teach you some of the basics. Let's dive in. So a flower is just a reproductive structure of the plant. And not all plants have a flower, but the ones which have can reproduce sexually. So for like with sperm cell of some airport and XML of the female part. And in the slide, I will do a quick overview of the flower and its structure. So let us start from the top. So a petal is just as support for the reproductive part of the flower. And these modify it leaves. But they changed into these beautiful yeah, shapes, petals. And then going down we have reproductive parts of the flower and the male and female parts. Some of the flowers have both. Somoza flowers have only female partners, and Somoza flowers have only male parts. I'm going to talk about these in a minute. But continuing was a simple, simple provide support for as the petals. It's kinda encloses everything and supports the whole way toaster petals. And so receptacle is also force would, but it supports reproductive part. And it's also provides a little bit of protection, as well as a peduncle is stem which insisting on which the flower grows. So it's, it connects the routes with flour. So the stem is also a tool for competition among flowers. For example, if one flower is higher than the others, and so it becomes more sun firstly and secondly, there is a greater chance, greater probability that's just lower, will be pollinated. First, of course, it's not always like this, but it's also a tool for competitive and like fighting for as a sunshine and using height as a way to attract pollinators. To Ben SPC. The female reproductive parts is called pistol. It is located as essential and it contains the ovary, which produces a synth. And this talk or style, which is saying elongated filament and stigma, which receives the Poland. The male part is this Tolman. It contains filament, ends it under where is a Poland's produced. So I don't want to overwhelm you too much. I know that this knowledge is basic, but all of the terms we learned, there's a school bus. Sometimes it's great to refresh. Our minds, tend to memory. And if you are interested just to make a research and read about flowers. There are many types of flowers and structures and it's a very interesting subject. So see you in the next mini-lecture.
4. Flower Theory pt. 2: Hi and welcome to the second lecture. In this lecture, I will be talking about an fluorescence. So in fluorescence as a group or lesser of lovers arranged on a stamp, that means that there's not a single group of flowers. These flowers and a group can be arranged in different ways. So there are many beautiful variations and yeah, structures. And notice that this is only a schematic representation. Nothing in nature is so symmetrical. And also I want to note, point out that you won't need all this in the class. I just wanted to introduce you to these structures and many types of inflorescence and show you how diverse and beautiful the nature is. So these are just a way to order the different shapes of the flowers. And such structures are easily for botanists to talk about the hours and fast way. They prepared a little assignment for you that please look at your favorite land with some fluorescence. Again, to be a plant with a cluster of flowers was single sour like Rose for love. And try to define its fluorescence name. And now I'm going to talk about some examples for some of the representations that are drawn on the worksheet. So for amble, which is in the middle, we have your anion plant. Or for any Xian Volcker said refine u, which is the third as a middle, we have the petroleum, so beautiful. The sporadic, which is in the left upper corner, we have maze or color Kazaa or capitulum, which is in the third row, the second one, we have a cleanups retro. Also I wanted to point out rationals. Right in the upper corner is a depiction of a cat kin. So all these trees, they catkins, they have personal shape. And please bear in mind that I didn't depict every structure that would take ages or just quite a long time. So if you see that your lying to us and fluorescence has a different shape. Don't padding, just make a research if you want to. Of course. Both of these worksheets are available as follows. So you can know knowns m, Maybe if you want to share with your friends, so yeah, just use them freely if you want to. So let's go over from theory to practice. And I am very excited to see you there.
5. Finding References: So let's find our references are usually look for my rent references on Pinterest. And this is a really nice website for finding inspiration. You can create your boards folders and you can find a bunch of stuff here. And to find objects as you want to draw, you, you just type it in and find section. And I type in fiery. And here are a bunch of photographs of fire wheat flour, from which I will pick a few and start sketching in the next lesson. So as you can see, the many, many images. And let's find mile second flower as transient manner, I guess it's called Master award in English. It didn't find it. So sometimes you have to specify. Here is also a bunch of images, really beautiful ones. So I will also choose two or three images. Moreover, you can use any photograph to draw from, but you can't use it in an example collaging, I want to show you a website was a free photographs, which are really, really beautiful and you can use them in collage and everywhere. So this website is called Splash.com. And there are a bunch of really, really beautiful images. Yeah, I wanted to search for my flowers hearing, but there are really few of those. So I will use contrast. Yeah, but don't forget about transplants. If you want to use like make a digital collage or just something from many, many images. Don't go and French interests for that, but use on Splash.com or just Google photographs free for use and stuff. Make sure that license is correct so that you can use it in personal projects. And you end credits maker, if E says so, it's a description. So I chose my images based to use our cell and trees. Three images for each hour. And I will see you in the next video. And we will draw together. See you.
6. Sketching Fireweed: Welcome to the next section. And this section, as I said, we are going to sketch our fiery plant. And I already started sketching. And I just found these three images of thyroid. And they're all in different perspectives and positions. So I will so I will get a better understanding of this plant. And if you didn't find the images of plant you want to draw, please do so. And don't be afraid. Ten minutes is just enough for drawing sketches. And it's also will be a challenge for you to draw without thinking because that's like in my opinion, it's best practice to sketch because most of the people are just afraid to draw something on the right of white paper, so to say, because they want everything to be perfect and just laid out very nicely and as aligns BI, very fine and perfect. It's not going to be so. So I encourage you to just start growing even from memory. It's super great also, because this way you will, you know, drawing from observation is fine, but learning from memory are getting as a memory is actually of your brain, which is a really fun game. Challenge or exercise, better set. So as you can see, I am always charging interest, withdraw from understand. So I am basically defining the main area was a stamp where I will be drawing to just that get into the situation where I have not enough space because I'm drawing in the left corner. So yeah, or starting also sometimes the sketch from the middle. So for example, if I have a Mendel very concentrated middle in my composition, Einstein's introduced from death. And this is where I am doing in my second sketch. And please draw in the easiest manner for you. I'm not telling you to draw everything precisely and correctly. As a video is just my way of stitching flower and just observe the shapes of the flowers, shape of the petals. How are the flowers located? And maybe you can define which lower is in the front, which lower is in the bag. And just observe some interesting parts for you that you really want to draw. You can draw very loosely or very precise. But make sure that you are having fun and you are not pushing yourself too much. It's always great to challenge yourself and push yourself just a little bit. But if you push yourself too much, you're getting into this panic. Or survival note, as you say, and does not operate for diffuse thinking mode where we just behaving naturally for our personality. I don't want to get too deep into the psychological violence, but this is also how you find your own style. Just draw without thinking. Sometimes you see, for example, a really beautiful image and you're like, Oh, I will, I want to draw like that. Used R to adapt to this file and copy it to merge. And you have this idea in your head that you want your style to be exactly like that. Not never going to work as you are. You and you have your own personality and this is not the way to look for style. It's great practice in the future where you already found your style. You already defined your main things where you know how your drawing process. And in my opinion, only then you need to look at other work. But if you're just a beginner, please draw only from your heart and without thinking so you can put on some podcasts or even movies. And just not focus on matt overseeing the whole process. And please draw at your own pace. So for example, if you need more time on sketching, just take all the time you need. Or if you sketching, for example, in ten minutes or even less, just skips the video and go and the next section. But yeah, in my opinion, I just think that 20 minutes is like an ideal time for sketching, for drawing, not one or a few sketches. And it really gets comfortable with topic, with objects or drawing and just warm up your hand and also your mind to draw the desired object. For example, before starting work in iOS, sketch for 20 minutes, maybe on paper, maybe on iPad. And we're just drawing things which I want to draw. Maybe some portraits, maybe a composition may be like add or all this things around me. So I am just drawing everything I want. I'm even thinking because I understand that my body needs to wake up as well as my head. So for example, if I am feeling energetic in my head when I have many ideas, I understand that maybe my body isn't ready yet. So I made sure that I prepare and my mind and my body for a great, productive working day. So let's round up all the talking and let's sketch together. And I am excited. All right? Right. And the next video we will see you there.
7. (Water)Coloring Fireweed : So let's dive in into the second part. I will be coloring catches with watercolor. And for this, we will need an eraser, water color and a brush. And you can pick any watercolor and any impress your comfortable. And I have this tiny pellet I'm taking with myself to draw and paint in cafeterias and nature and stuff. And we will also be needing water. Let's get our eraser and start erasing all the lines. What we need to achieve is that the lines will be barely visible. So we can really beautifully paint in water are. So actually it's becoming a bit smudgy. And I just understand that I took so wrong a razor and just trying it. Yeah, it's getting very smudgy and very like not beautiful at all. I forgot this trick to get another kind of eraser and the soft one. And with this kind of a razor, we will, we can actually erase lines without getting paper, smudged, get everything very lean and Awesome was this movement of my hand. I'm starting to erase everything. So you see now is much, much cleaner and it's not getting smashed at all. And actually is so cold to raise this way. And it's so entertaining. And this arrays or reminds me of like a piece of clay or plus the Lean where you just you was wizard. And it's so also and t stress and kind of lets erase and don't apply too much pressure, but also don don't be afraid to apply some pressure onto the paper. So actually eraser material or get some pencil. Graphite. So I'm done with arranging everything and I will take my tiny watercolor palette. And I just realized here, I don't have like this pinkish wireless colors, so I will try to mix like wireless or light red colour, but I'm not sure if I am going to do that. So let's just try an experiment. It's not a real problem, if we will, if I will, use the same color. Really, we're drawing our final image in Adobe fresco and there I will pick the color I need. So yeah, I am. I guess I will go and try this color. Well, it's not that bad, but it's not exact. So I will be mixing it and experiment a bit more like adding a little bit more water or more pigment until I'm satisfied. But actually I don't want to spend time on mixing colors. So let's forget about this and just have fun. And it's a very good practice. Even if you don't have everything precise and as you planned, Don't lose your phone. Just go with it and accepted and accept your mistakes. I cannot call it even a mistake because it's still looks beautiful. And yeah, the colors optimizing, so the gradient between blue and red. So yeah, it's not a big deal. And when I paint flowers, I'm not to exact, so I just leave some dots, mean some big dots. And it naturally becomes into a flower. Yeah, that's how nature works. You know, you don't have like circles or exact squares or geometry, doesn't even work here. So That's why I like to draw plants and flowers and nature in general, because you can be as loose as you want. And even if you're doing mistakes, you're like, oh, there are things in nature and nature makes mis mistakes too. So why do I have to worry about my mistakes? And another thing that mistakes lead to operation. And yeah, when you make a mistake and sometimes you can learn from it. So for example, if he make Mistake, which is beautiful, and it becomes from a mistake into a treasure, you found it. So you don't have always to follow the rules. It's just, you know, the best learning is by playing. So when children explore the world, they don't know how to do it, but they still do it because that's only way to learn something. And even if you get pain, you fail, that's still a really big step. We don't get any pain here. We just fail. And it's not a bacteria. We don't lose anything was that we just gain experience. And that's what we need. I advice you say, sayings for your success, but say more things to your failures because it's much more important and endless human to make mistakes. And mistakes are beautiful. So I, I follow, I have this philosophy of mistakes being beautiful. And I guess it makes my life so much easier and so much calmer. So embrace your mistakes. Get the joy from making mistakes. For example, here, flowers are a bit dull. The flour and the front is solved right? And sending out. But I don't worry about it because it's still looks beautiful. Yeah, I hope all of the things I'm saying here, it makes sense to you and urging for you and motivational for you. But if not, just skips a video and just colors a flower system assignment. But if you like my speech and my visual podcasts, so to say, then I'm really happy. Yeah, so I hope you're doing okay with coloring in your plant. And also here to example, I chose three perspectives, allows up like the second bond is a close up. And the first one is like something in the middle from the close-up and like whole flower. And the third one is a whole flower was leaves. And it's more visualization of the whole plant. And I like to draw these perspectives, stages. I don't know how to say it. Yeah, it gives more insight into the object. So it example. Also, it's really good if you're drawing, for example, at the object plan, so to say, and you are drawing it from nature. So draw it and close up and then make two steps, three steps back. Draw It was another plant. So you can actually see how big or small your object is. All of us, quote, quote. And also, I can't repeat us enough. Don't focus on your final result. Focus on the process and just enjoy it and think about other things. Think about how experienced you will be after the class, or how much fun you're having. Or take even this class before going to sleep as a relaxation or in some warning as Jacob, like the result here is not important at all. So what is important is the experience you're having. Let it go. Just like in life, you cannot control what? You can't control. You know, you can't control your style. If your style is different from the style you want or you cannot control something, you're just learning. Because while we are learning, we are feeling a bit frustrated and we cannot control the situation. And once we learned, then we can control, but not earlier. This once more. Let it go. And I will follow with sought that at the stage of learning, you need to be patient to yourself. So I guess patients is. The right feeling for somebody who is learning or gaining a new skill in this process of trying and failing. And the process of frustrating and not knowing what to do exactly. And, and this beautiful. So after few years when you will be experienced artists, you will just memorize omega two years ago I was just learning this new scale and now I'm so experience. But even two years ago when I started this journey, it was so beautiful. All the mistakes that I did. They made me who I am. So yeah, just enjoy. It was thought that you will learn. All the struggles was, well go away. Also frustration will pass. And you will be an amateur illustrator artist. And I guess that's the idea I want to teach people. It's not about the techniques. They are not important to teach. I mean, of course they are, but they're just secondary. But the first is your feeling about learning. This is the most important thing. And don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes when you're failing too much. And don't be harsh on yourself. Because if you're harsh on yourself, Yuval, you slower your process of becoming who you are. And also the feeling of being afraid to actually get to know yourself and who you are. People always like, I guess most people ask some questions. Oh my god. What if my style actually is very, actually, it will not happen. Because once you find your style, you will know what's your intuition with your heart. And the only thing is with, can keep you away maybe is the feeling that your NADH trend Dina. And that's one of the things that some people struggle with. So for example, if flats. Watch your struggle. Is that but it's something else. Yes. Okay. So I chose and if you did find your second I don't know.
8. Sketching astrantia: Welcome to the sketching lesson of our second plant, which is called as transient minor. In this video, I managed to move my watercolor palette and also tools on the left side, sorry that I didn't do it in the first video. So basically is a process where B is the same. I will, I'm choosing three images of supplant. And I will draw it in different perspectives and different use. So the first will be just a basic sketch of the stem and the flowers. Then it will be a close up of flour to understand the structure of the flower. And the Serbs catch hold B, the whole plant as a whole shower. So again, I, this way I can learn and study object, I'm drawing. I start from the main shapes. So from the stem and biggest flowers, I define them by shape, by circles. And after I will define the petals and as a outline of the flower. And I tried to draw as quickly as possible because I don't want to focus on the detailed pencil drawing is just defined name all the shapes with a pencil. And I will erase the pencil lines so they don't have to be perfect. And yeah, they will go away. After I will finish this catches. This flower is really common in Europe and also in Russia. So it grows in the fields in the summer and maybe beginning of autumn. So it's a beautiful plant. And I chose it also because it's, in my opinion, more difficult to draw then fiery. And it has a really strange shape. So I mean, it's not strange, but the whole structure is complex. And I just wanted to show you the process. I approach those objects with which I really detailed. Because in my illustration practice, I don't want to be too detailed, even, even though when I draw a detailed object. So I will show you in the water color video, show details with just a few lines of watercolor. And also, also the challenge will be in the water column video to show the details with watercolor, which is like, you don't have control, was watercolor while a little bit, but it's not like fine liner or a pencil drawing where you can control everything. Can very, very differently. And if you do like slide, different move, and then it can also create click of your drawing. Also, it's great to just start from scratch. And just without even sketching, just take watercolor and just drawing, but it can be quite overwhelming and frustrating. So I advise, tried to make a pencil drawing before. And the thing is that pencil drawing we serve planned very, in a very detailed manner. So the brain memory is working and we MRIs. And only after we memorise, we can go into the experimenting mode where we already familiar with the object. And we can slightly tweak and change things how we like. And yeah, so that's the way I prefer to. Another saying, this difficult shape is quite easy to draw this pen and I liners. But in the next video we are going to use water colors. So I will show you my type centroid, how I add details even with watercolor. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Right? Right. Okay. Right. Okay.
9. Watercolor astrantia: Hi, and welcome to this interesting section. While we will be water coloring as trans here minor. And let's add the same practice we did in the last video. We will take this really cool soft razor and start applying pressure to the paper. And I don't know if this is so much fun. It works. Sometimes. I can t stress ball. After this, I really want to go to play class. Okay. Last time I used the BRCA1 brush. Well, it wasn't that big, but this one is tiny. And this will be great for drawing details. And I also tried to work as fast as I can without thinking too much. I just make some new colors. But I use also the ones from my first sketch. So I'm not thinking really much about color. And here I faced the biggest problem. I see that the plant is white or gray. Now I kind of thing that I needed to choose black paper and trove is whitewater color on top. This would be cool. But here I will just use some unsaturated, maybe some leg, maybe some green, blue colors to imitate shadows. But again, I'm not thinking too much because I can always choose the desired color in Adobe fresco. So just Kind of go over the whole shape. Let's start first with the outline will be done. Yeah, and go into the interesting details. And also what I wanted to do here, I will be switching between these three flowers. So for example, when I'm done, I will then be switching to the second floor. And then maybe paying system first and then search flour. And then after everything will be RS dry. And then I will start the details so clashed and makes the colors will mix. He makes altogether. Okay. Okay. Score quote quote. Well, this quote, quote, this quote on quote, quote, this quote, quote, quote, quote, quote, quote, this quote, quote, quote. He told us, quote, quote, quote, quote, quote, probably all of us. I like this quote, quote. This quote, quote. Now this quote, quote, this quote, quote, quote. All of us. All of us. So this will look like this. I will quote, quote. What about the Apple App Store? Apple products? All of us. Okay. I hope you're having fun here. Please share your progress and leave some comments if you have some difficulty or you are to share anything or just say hello. Now, I can choose an unlimited number of flowers and as many flowers as you want. And trapezoids this many, many times. But I'm going to finish off here. And from all the sketches which I did and going to chase one sketch and charts in Adobe fresco. See you there.
10. Drawing in Adobe Fresco: Or support in high school. Everybody. Welcome to this next section. Here he finalizing our sketch, exporting the image to Hadoop if rescaled. And I will be guiding you through the whole process of creating an image in Olympic mascot. So if you're a beginner, it will be really easy for you to follow. If I measure, just speed up the video. So here I am creating a new file. And I just have create a new file and I'm going to make a measure size. So I already took the image and just a photograph of edge. And playing doesn't really matters here because we adjust outline names, drawing. So just click on this icon, image icon. And as I photograph and it loads up in Adobe fresco. And we can position it nicely and lowers the opacity down. So we actually see our lines and color in order be fresco. Now, I create a new layer and I choose the tsunami brush. It's an ink brush, but please pause the video now and experiment a little bit with brushes and choose your favorite brush. I like kind of Encke brushes, but if you want something else, it just pause the video now and go through all the brushes in other refract. Also one more trick. If you choose collegues, star, and as riot also brush, it will become your favorite. So every time you create a new project in Adobe fresco, you will have your favorite folder. So you can have a list of your favorite brushes and that you will use project, project, and it makes everything easier in case you forget the name of the brush. And also, you can see that is an ideal size of your favorite fresh. So it will always appear with numSides and ideal capacity for you. What does I'm saying? Digital drawing and painting is perfect. So creating a new layer. And i'm just starting to outline the shape of a flower. We already defines a composition and the main shape of the flower. So. That's a kind of, I like this type a lot because this type, I don't concentrate too much and I can watch movie or just video from YouTube because everything is there. I just need to outline the shape of the yeah. Was my brush that I like very much. And I prefer not to take too much time on this step because actually is really easy and we can change many things later. And so I will meet me tariff when I will hope our support us and support us. And we'll come back and join us. And join us. And join us. And support us. And join us. And join us. And turn around. Apple underscore. Underscore. Underscore. The current Apple underscore. Underscore. Underscore. Well, Apple underscore. Underscore. Underscore. And this again was everything. And now I'm just and polishing the line work. And I have some mistakes here and there. And it's totally okay. And now this step is going to be very interesting because now I will choose a color palette, which is, which is closer to actual colors. And so I create a new layer and we'll just Experiment was the colors a little bit. But actually in my mind, I already know which colors I will choose. So. Already at this level, when I exactly what color to choose. But take time to play around with the colors. So my colors are a little bit too bright maybe. But that's my style, is I want to the images to be like really bright and standing out. So maybe is a pink colour is a bit exaggerated. And say green color, a lot of exaggerated, but I like it this way. Leisure. And I guess three colours are enough. Whereas I rather use these blending modes, it looks better than choosing a bunch of colors. So I never use more than five colors. And then I just use the blending mode. It looks more natural, more balanced. It looks okay. So let's create layer underneath our line work. And I'm going to use another rush for coloring. I just prefer this one for coloring because it's brighter and the whole texture and yet some fresh feels very comfortable to color with. And again, as I step was not really difficult, just color in everything. And when we color everything, then we can apply the right Jones and allows. And yeah, just at this step, I see you not to worry too much. Just are everything in and I will see you when your time. And note that I made a lot of mistakes. Here. I leave blank spaces or I go over the line for my style if works, it's totally okay because my style is more loose and playful. So either how should we, you know, if you like these tiny mistakes, these are not even mistakes, but chairs of your own. Yeah, your enemies out. So I will see you in the next video. You will be finished. Are you there?
11. Drawing in Adobe Fresco pt. 2: Hi and welcome to the next video. So as you can see, I'm almost out of these smells are left. And so I need all such kinds is ten. And I am going to do it very fast. So in the meantime, I also publish my own. So I go over the flowers and I polish parts I don't like. And when choosing an eraser and also makes pressure you want. So you can have links charge or either. You can have a basic razor, anything you want. So I'm coloring in stem and it will be really bright green. And I notice now that on my picture, that brightest part is on the top and on the bottom and the green goes into this kind of color. So I'm going to win the future, learn to code. Support us and support us, quote, support US. And Canada rash and create clipping mask interests. Put on some red color maybe and apply a blending mode. But I will show you later how to do is say a clipping mask buys away as any feature of Adobe fresco and waited it for so long. So here I am creating a new layer and a living mask. And I choose this rash that just has kind of gradients. Catholic. And I choose n j. And I started to coloring stamp. Make sure you have a clipping mask over your stamp. And you can also applies lemming most aria arise. So at the top there is, I can bring the red color. On the bottom. I guess. There's like a more darker green. But I will leave it like this. Okay. It has some highlights, just flour. So she's a our pledge rose color now just defining the occupies and also in the middle. And so it made sense that there's also some comments about threat style, what is called Bayesian. You'll hear Nike has ended. And to support us. Support us, and support us. Support. And tells us, quote and quote. She's announced another layer. And I will apply a bending effects supply maybe, and Color Burn and go over some flowers so that to this color will serve for shadows, but also for these petals in the middle. I'm just painting on another layer, but you can obviously also creates a clipping mask. It's just how you like, but I think it's sometimes really gives us nice effect when while drawing in blending mode, you sometimes go over the main shape and that's the color changes. And this is the outside has just another color, and it looks cool. So the final step, which is really fun, I choose another push, which is kind of more sing, sick and Encke. And I will, I will draw the filaments with it. So the align nist, the sacred in that case because it needs to be livable. Zi1, the overall outline. And because I want to achieve this kind of Chinese effects. So I want this to be like really Anki and really Texture. I just experiment a little bit so I apply pressure and lower down. So was, was Apple pencil was drawing on iPad. There's also a possibility to change pressure of the line by just yeah, how you usually draw. Okay, so I guess this looks really cool. So now let's add some background, I guess. So let's align this yellow alot, but also the red one as a PG-13. And I guess I will go with if you want. So you always need to plan all the colors and advanced because you can always change, is due to be flexible in the process. And it's good to constantly change some things. Because this way you allow yourself to experiment and to find new solutions. And if you're always stick with your plan, it's good, but it can be safe and allow yourself a little bit of flexibility. Ells as elements like some abstract shapes and also experiment was blending modes. I like to use this a lot, but I guess now it's not that it does look great now, but you can experiment with it. And I also have a course on adding visual elements to your illustration to make it look more finished and more LACMA fun and playful. So you can check it out also. But what I will do is I will texture. So maybe if you have seen my artworks, I add a lot of texture, my illustrations, and I want to show you how I actually do this. So another refresh go there already. Russia's really textured ones which you can explore and experiment with. And I usually makes size a lot better and bigger. And just go over the whole image. And layer needs to be on top of the whole image. That looks really good. So yeah, I will just show you a close-up of the image, how it looks. Now when I see that image, so it's kind of empty. So I think that would be really nice to add some petals in the scene. So I, in the corner, so I'm empty spaces. I will add some think petals. So it's summer as flowers are flowering, that'll start flying around. And everything is so flowery and yeah, I hope you get the idea. Our score, score, score. Score. Score. Score. Congratulations. What's nice about that photo is quite big.
12. Quick note: Hi, one more time. You are done with the class, but I wanted to mention one more thing. I created two versions of 5-bit illustration. The second version is like as a new one, and the second one is a final illustration. So the first illustration is more experimental. And when I'm done with illustration, I like to go back into the project, into the file and experiment with it. Here, I removed the strokes and I did some yeah, overlay of brush strokes, more texture. And I like to add those things like these elements which really makes the illustration look interesting. And actually my first class at Edit as kosher OAuth about record of elements and like how to make a playful illustration. So if you want to check it out, I would be glad. And I actually like experimenting so much that I could continue and continue to experiment. But then I realized that I actually want to finish my strands here, flour and Adobe fresco at four that I had to draw another sketch. And the reason for this is that I didn't like sketcher surgery in the class. But that's totally okay because I applied all their knowledge and observations and experiments from my previous drawings into this one. I also added some brush strokes and textures or it feels kind of cute and yeah, just cute. And here I have also some variations. But it's just yeah, as variations are not big, It's just and sensor taste. And actually those decisions are actually really hired because obviously Syria illustrations are great and at the end you are struggling and you cannot choose one illustration out of 70, which you did it in. Slightly different variations. Welcome to the life of an illustrator. And I managed to draw one more flour. It is geranium. And the reason I chose it to draw it because my mom likes very much. So I was like thinking, why not to draw it now? And yeah, feel free to post your projects as drawings from the class, including pencil drawings, watercolors, digital ones, but also any other followings than any other mediums. And also the project with machines it afterwards. And yeah, let's continue with the final video. I
