1. Welcome: Welcome to DIY body. But of course, if you haven't
used body butter before, you're in for a treat, it's like butter for your skin. Homemade body butter isn't
easy DIY project for anyone. It's so simple. All you have to do
is melt and whip lovely butters and
oils together. And Lola, beautiful body
butter. Are you ready? Let's get started.
2. How to Make Whipped Body Butter?: A basic whipped body
butter generally requires two to three
basic ingredients like shear butter, cocoa butter, oils,
like coconut oil, almond oil, or her Hoover oil. You can add essential oils are fragrance oils as per
your requirement. And finally, a thickening agent like corn starch or
adult root powder. This is generally used to reduce the greediness of
the body butter. But again, this
is optional tool. When it comes to equipment, you will need a double boiler, a hand blender, or
an Electric blender. Weighing scale,
measuring spoons or rubber spatula and containers to keep your body butter in. Please remember that because
this recipe is oily based, the oils butters may melt if stored in a warm environment. Therefore, it's best to keep this body butter in
a cool, dry place. Then if the oils begin
to melt by any chance, you can refrigerate
the butter and reread. It, is stored in an airtight
jar in a cool, dark place. The body butter will keep
for up to six months.
3. Shea-Cocoa Body Butter: Let's make our shear
cocoa body butter. Really begin by taking
around 50 g of defined. She Alberto. Now I'm going to be adding, I don't 25 g of
refined cocoa butter. And now I'm adding 25
g of Jojo but oil. You can use any light oils like olive oil or
sweet almond oil. You don't want to use coconut
oil because the butters are already heavy and they will, adding coconut oil will just make it more greasy and heavier. So we just want a
good balance there. So a light or like
Jojo about olive oil, sweet almond oil would help. I've placed it on
my double boiler. You can keep starting
in intervals to hasten the melting process. You can see that the
buttons have started to melt. Keeps doting. I've reduced the heat. We're almost there
just little while more. And we're done. I'm going to transfer it
to a heap proof container. I'm going to let it cool down
a little bit on route and future before I put it in the refrigerator for
about 30 to 40 min, I've taken it out
of the refrigerator now and I'm going to
start ripping it. You want it to be in a
semi-solid condition before you start looping. Now because I have quantity
of butters and oils, It's not going to be
very easy to whip. But it doesn't mean that I
will not be able to do it. We're going to keep
repeating until it reaches a fluffy texture out of
whipped cream texture. Now, depending on
certain videos, it can take time to whip. In some ways, it would
take very little time. And during winters, Good. Take a lot of time. I've added a little
bit of cocoa powder to give that color to our
cocoa Shia body butter. If you want, you can also add an essential oil
if for fragrance, but that is completely optional. I'm going to just
try it a little bit. It's perfect for me. I'm going to transfer
it to a container. And this is good to go for about two to three
months. In the wind. Does
4. Wild Rose Body Butter: Let's make a while
draws body butter. For this, I'm going
to take around 50 g of refined shear butter. On one 50 g of
refined cocoa butter. Few drops off Rose hip Oil, a few drops of
rose geranium oil, and a few drops of
roses and Shell Oil. About half a teaspoon of those specular powder and half a teaspoon of pink lip out. I've placed it on
my double boiler and now I'm just going
to wait for it to melt. Now, if you want, you can add dry draws battles, but that is completely optional. Now you can see that the buttons will take
a while to melt. That's because I'm making
this and winters and cocoa butter is
dually difficult to melt during certain
seasons and bed those. And also because I've taken such a large quantity
of cocoa butter, I'm gonna keep starting
it occasionally. To hasten up the
melting process. Does a really nice
fragrance of rows. Now I'm going to transfer it to our heat proof container and let it cool down
on room temperature. Before I put it in the
Federated for 30 to 40 min, I've taken it out of the refrigerator and it's
in a semi-solid condition. And that is when you
can start whipping. You don't want it to be
too hard because that could really make it
very difficult to whip. You want to continue looping until it reaches
that fluffy texture, that whip cream like texture. Now this is certainly
easier to work because there's a lot more
quantity in this bowl. It's already looking
quite creamy and fluffy. Desert whipped cream like texture that we were aiming for. Now I'm just going to use my eyedropper spatula to
combine it all together. We're trying a little bit, if you like, it's a
bit too greasy for me. So I'm going to add it on to
the spoons off gone flower. You can also use adult or
powder or tapioca starch. This is done to reduce the
greediness of the body butter, but this is completely optional. Just combine it all together
once again. Try it again. Now it's perfect for me. And when and transfer
it to a container. I was able to do
such containers. There you go. Already. Good to go for your
entire winters.
5. 1 Week Later: These are my body butters
a week after I read them, this is my shear and
cocoa body butter. Look at how smooth
texture is and how easily I'm able to
apply it on my fingers. I absolutely love it. I also added a little bit
of essential oil later because I thought the smell of cocoa butter was too strong. This is my ripped Wild
Rose body butter. As you can see that it
is hardened up a bit. It's not as smooth
as the cocoa butter. I believe the reason
behind this is that I added clay to it, the pink clay. You can skip it. It's not really that bad, but of course it's
not as smooth. She or cocoa body butter. But they're both beautiful
and I love them. I love the fragrance, I love how it feels.
6. Conclusion: Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed this course. The next step is to try these recipes at home and
shared with the rest of us. I also want to know how each of these recipes
