Welcome back to my new class. During my today's class, I'm going to show you how to paint lovely birds in different styles. For style, we will be going to combine watercolor and pencil together. Second style is we're gonna use chess watercolor paints. And third one is gonna paint our laba birth in gouache style. I've prepared for you new brushes and I hope you really like sense. And today I've explained to you how to use them. So if you're ready, grab your iPad, Apple pencil. Let's banned altogether. Okay, So first of all, we need to create texture paper. How to, to us that we need to create a canvas. And after that, the expert, our watercolor paper into the procreate. You're going to do it step-by-step. First of all, we need to tap Plus and tablets again. I have to say I tried 911 inches, 300 de Paris solution and we need to switch from pixels into inches. After sad tab, tab Create. Now we have our papers, he's fine. He can rotate it this way or this way. I'm going to place its horizontal. Said who go to Layers? And we need to duplicate layers to few times. Next step we need to export all are freebies into the Procreate. What do we have? We have watercolor paper, we have watercolor brush set and gouache brushes, actually got brushes and included in my watercolor brush set. Also, you have a watercolor palette. And this man, I can show it to you, birds. You see this, set it as a default one. Now it's here and we're going to use those colors today. Next we have our brush set. Birds. Here. We have paper. Now, I'm going to tell you how to export all of it into Procreate. When you open my class, this one, you need to open it in browser, can be Chrome or Safari browser. Because if you open in my class here in Skillshare app, my freebies might not be reasonable. So you'll open my glass in a browser and in the right corner, hundreds a headline and resources. You can see all my freebies. You download Sam. And opposite, you can go to Files app. And in downloads folder, you'll see all my free this. Next, what we should do where you're gonna go to Actions, tap, Add, and tap, Insert a file. I'm the expert that out paper. Next, let's just rotate it and fit two cameras. Now, it's perfectly fits draw canvas. And we don't need to do anything. Next, we need to create layers. And when we change the Blending Mode in our layers, it can help us to make our watercolor paper more released. How to do it? You're going to duplicate the paper after sad, move to Linear Burn. And second paper, move to colorbar. Next. Next, let's duplicate our first layer with linear burn mode together and merge it together. Next we are going to go to Color Burn layer, duplicate layer one time, and then merge together the layer where if you have color burn mode, Madison together, this helps us to make our paper more realistic. It helps us to enhance our modes. So after sad regard to linear burn mode and move to a positive deal of 50% Color Burn. You don't do anything, it stays on 100% of positive. Next you're going to select two layers. How to do it? Just move to the right. So you select the two layers and After press group, next tab, Rename a paper these ready? If you have two layers on Denise. Here, we will paint. Next. We'll duplicate this layer. One time, maybe two times, get perfect. Now keep in mind, when you paint, you need to paint on Denise, our paper layer group, not above. Because if you paint above, you might not have his authentic watercolor texture. After that, we need to export our brush set and color palette, how to dose it. So you actually can split the screen into two parts. I'll show you the, I split the screen into two parts. First of all, we have our file's app, and second one is GUI, have our procreate. We also have some sketches I prepared for you today, five births, but we're going to paint three owes them. But once again, you have more options. You can experiment and paying some other birds, it's totally fine. We have swatches, we have brush set, and we have our sketches, how to expiry date. So it's very simple. You will go to, for example, switches and you're going to just saying here's everything that you have go to color palette and just export swatches here that. So you just need to choose the object and drag and drop it into Procreate. For example, here, we've imported our love and hate. Bert said, What are you gonna do today? Are going to add import a few birds. So I had to pick one I used today. Next should I wanted to show you all sketches that we have when the expert at everything just leaves a procreate here. Now this is a first bird. Second one, lovely green parrot. Bird for fun, lovely dark. And we actually going to paint it today because I liked the stack is lovely. I think this is peril. You might choose any bird you want. I decided to choose this first one will be this bird. Second birds, It's lovely, dark. And the third one, because I like the composition. I like this tree trunk and I likes to color it was at birth. I going to use xyz birth as well. I'm going to paint it. And this bird will paint in a coercive style. This is a new style for me. I didn't make the classes are related to quash paint and so it's our first-class, and I hope you like it. So now I'm ready to show you the brushes. I'll create one more layer, grab a green color, and I'll show you the brushes. First one is mercury brush six B pencil, old beach brush and Tara layer brush, mercury brush. This is native procreate brush, six B pencil, native Procreate brushes as well. I use them for my sketches and to add tiny details. Old beach brush, perfect one if you want to add some they mentioned, and it's very precious, sensitive. I do likes his brush. It's also native procreate brush. Same thoroughly brush. My favorite brush if you, if you talk about blending some colors, more oriental dry brush, okay, this is my brush and I also use it to add some tiny details. Next boot up all all you know, if you have watched my previous classes, I, I liked his brush. Once again, I wanted to show you why we need to paint on Denise, our paper layer groups. Because if you move our layer on the top, here, you see if you lose our watercolor texture, you see Zai color doesn't bleed into the paper. But if you place it under our paper layer group, it's like blends perfectly wanted another clear. Next brush border color background to add lovely, lovely shades and some watercolor texture as well. Watercolor stamp 19 can help you to add some also, watercolor, authentic watercolor look, watercolor splashes. Okay, now we have two brushes for gouache and book wash blend there. So I'll show you book wash, this brush. I'll use pretty lighter color. You see when you layer it, it's pretty solid and it helps you. And thanks to the human, when you layers as stroke swan and another is a slightly different. Also says brushes pressure sensitive. Press lighter is like this. If you press harder, you'd have thicker stroke. You cannot actually paying some leaves if you want. This is a gouache brush that I was working on it like full weeks, I think. Second one, this is blue gouache blender. Let me choose a few black opposite colors. And I went to show you how it blends one another. Now we're going to use output guage blender brush. I use choose this brush enough to. I need to press on Blender for a long time. You see it automatically. We have the same brush as a blender, saying we can do this eraser. I'm going to use this brush as a blender, controls the size. This brush can help you to blend colors naturally. Like actually gouache painting. Paint blends pretty organically. New brushes to new brushes that I created. I hope you will enjoy using them. We're going to use this brushes for our last illustration was a short demonstration of all the brushes that we have. And you will have a chance to try all of them. You can download his brush set also in a description of my class in a projects and sources section under the headline resources. Remember about that? So we've done this out all our brushes and now we're ready to start painting. And guys, in our next part, we're going to start our first illustration where I will paint lovely flying birds in watercolor and pencil style. You're gonna combine all of it together. And also I'm gonna make a tiny some kind of postcard in the end of our paint. Let's start together. 3. 1st Illustration: Watercolor and Pencil: First illustrations, this one, live birth. I'm gonna use a sketchy little. Got to keep it. Because it wouldn't be that difficult. I'm gonna create one more layer underneath. And now we need to find our reference picture. I already downloaded all my pictures in a camera roll and I'm going to tell you where I found them. All the pictures I found on a website, unsplash.com and Paxos com. There's also upsides are very cool because there you can find pictures for a personal and commercial purposes. I can show you briefly. Okay, guys, so as you see, this is unsplash.com website. So you just need to go here, does a search engine and type birds rather guys, is this is at site unsplash.com. We also have Pexels comb here. I type birds, as you see here, we have variety of lovely, lovely, beautiful birds here. Same splash. We have lovely birth here. You might choose this composition is amazing. Like Z22 on, so it's up to you which picture to truth? Highlight all of them by the, of course, I needed to make a decision. So I already created five sketches and I chose some birds that we want to paint together. We have harbored. Now guys, we need reference picture where to find it. So I already saved zip picture from the Unsplash If.com to my camera roll. Now I need to go to action button, go to Canvas and tab reference. After a tab image and tamp input image, go to our camera, roll and find our picture. This is our lab at birth, is fine. You can make it bigger. We are ready to start adding some colors. So we are on a new layer that is underneath our sketch layer. We want to remove scheduled layer, which is perfect. But before we start doing said I actually want to add more lines. I want to make our sketch even more realistic. I didn't go with the six-foot pencil. Again. You see I wanted to add more details. It would look even better. If you press hard three-tuple have thicker line, it would be more dark cherry picking. All those tiny details will help you to make your painting more realistic and more and more detail. If you add, the more professional it would look like. Of course, like depending on the style. Spike speaking about the swan, we need to try to add as many lines as possible. You see the difference. It takes some time, so I'm going to speed up to beta. Tried to keep some balance. You can just like with drugs all around, you might also leave some light places untouched. Likes him middle here, by from both sides like here and here I have more shades. I'm gonna tell you a tale. In a bottom of a tail. I want to add more feathers, and I wanted to add more shades like this. Well now it's time to start adding some colors. Finished our lovely sketch, I'm going to lock it. And I've almost as a layer underneath Next to go to our brush set and I have a crab boat or pull brush. My favorite brush for painting the water cut. And now let's decide which color we want to use. Maybe is this peach color? I'm trying to be pretty artistic. I want edges is colored like when a whole Birth, Of course not. I will try to mix a few colors together because it's very important to try to add more than one color. So when you paint something, tried to add at least three similar colors. Let's same, but they're very harmonic. Now I'll go grab a darker shade. You can see it's really darker. But I want to cover all area charts with his color. The darkest part. Next, let's move to next part and think which color you would like to add, maybe a little bit bluish color. First you might think, Why is this is not real, it can't be that bowl. Once again, to remember is this is watercolor painting and you are an artist. So that might be your region. And I can actually even sit purplish shade, some yellowish there. You see the colors that we choose. A pretty harmonious I do like how it looks now it'll go to Blend tool and I will use tera layer brush as a blender. Carefully blend colors wanted another. You might leave some gaps, It's fine. Once again, it's watercolor. You might go beyond the lions. You might leave some places like some parts. And guys tried to, not to blend everything entirely, just very big gaps. Do you think Okay, this is not natural? Now, we will go on the top. I'll create one more layer and I'll move to multiply. Same brush, same color. This time because this is a multiply blend layer mode, it will be at least a bit darker. Now I want to show us Alliance. If I'm trying to blend it. You see the edges are pretty sharp and dark. Paint a Burt. Also need to show this dark lines. Next, a blending tool. And tried to blend so the sharpest lines, like as careful as possible. Okay, this is our lovely birth. Now we are ready to add some details. If you're things with colors a little bit too dark and you wanted to change them. You still can do it. Go to hue saturation and brightness. You can make this part darker or brighter. It's up to you. Your command pick increase saturation, make it more brown. I think I'll stick to this part. Now let's move to this part because our bird and I'll do same goal to hue, saturation, brightness and problems and to make our birth a little bit brighter. And you can play Razer hue and decide which colors you would like to have. Maybe you would like to change the color to blueish. It's up to you. I will return to the layer with the shades. And I wanted to blend it even more because we make our birds slightly darker, like the shades here. Great. Now let's add details. Let's add like a killers two feeds to the peak to ice. So I'll go to this almost blank. Create one more layer. Have same brush. Control this highs. Alex's B2B, Belsen, the shadow. Same here. Cars is also perfect if you want to add more dimension to your birth. If you want to play visit colors. When bert probably slightly lighter. Like said. Next thing what we're gonna do is I actually want to add some background color. So I'll merge everything together. They're like say is, I'll create one more layer and place it underneath our bird. Now I'll grabs is bluish color. Perfect, and I have a graph, ball, watercolor sample 90. Next, I'll duplicate the stamp, wanted to make it more saturated and go to Curves. Here you can play around, you can do whatever you like. It's very lovely. Ready see Says stamp overlaps with our bird. So I want to remove the transparency of a bird by just erasing the overlapping. Tried to be very careful because some parts of a bird are white. And when we add this bluish color, the bird became blue. Not what we want. We need to remove silver lipids. Just by erasing sees blue color. Like say, this is not to add. I'll create one more layer above the bird. I'll clip it and now move to multiply. I have the same brush as a stamp. I'll grab. Let me think. Purplish color. We want to make our bird more realistic. Go to curves. You see, thanks to the stamp duplicated, it's a bird is more visible and now we can place it in any place we want. I think this is very realistic. I'll duplicate stamp hits. Lovely, but I think this is too dark. And I just wanted to place it to solving problems a side. Same here. Now our bird is very, very realistic. I'll merge everything together. You see this has raised his time with his results. Tab suburb became darker, but I don't like how it looks. Once again, you can go to hue saturation and brightness. You can increase the brightness, increase the saturation, and think where and how you want to place it. I increase the situation a little bit. This is our bird saying we can do with a background if you want, you can make it even brighter. Go to hue, saturation and brightness, and play with color is that you have behind you. If you want to, you can increase the size and move to the next. I want to add a little bit of splatter. So if you can say so, I'll go to for Oriental try brush. Create one more layer. On top of everything are merged together these two layers. I want to move to blending mode to multiply. Now if you're gonna grab, pull up our brush. Still want to add tiny bit of shades. When you add more contrast, it looks very beautiful, but don't put too much of it. Try to keep the pellet. Now create one more layer above. Grab white color. Purely white color. And try to think whether you want to place it. White kips, maybe some tiny white feathers. Why did we add some highlights and shades? It helps us to make our illustration even more beautiful. Because our picture, like all the objects, they consists of, the shades and highlights. We can't just add shades without adding highlights. That would be not to click Proper. Now if you don't need our reference picture, we can turn it off. Our first illustration is red, and this is our lovely bird. Now, we can actually add some quotes and said can be a postcard. How to do it? Go to darker color, merge everything together to create one layer above. After the tap. Add text. In my lovely family, we can write something like said. I have to change the phone to go to a and choose a font that you like and that might be very suitable for this one. I'll see you can ride actually texts duplicated. You can ride some like wishes. I don't know. Like you can change the size of the form a little bit. Change the size. Phantom, my lovely family, we can make this font is a size speaker. Here. We can tilt it a little bit. Now it looks perfect. So guys, this is our first postcard. It looks very lovely. You might play around at more splashes. If you want, you can add more illustration like CS1. Illustration. I don't know, I like this. Removes the other leptons and your postcard might look like this. It's very lovely guys. Once again, it's up to you which style you would like to choose and experiment with everything. Think what do you want to ride, where you want to place it? And I wouldn't be happy to see your lovely postcards. Now let's move to the next part. In our next illustration, I'm gonna show you how to paint just watercolor illustration, watercolor, lovely dark watercolor style. And after that, we will move to our third illustration. Let's go. 4. 2nd Illustration: Watercolor : Now we're ready to start our second that illustrations they spawn this lovely dark. I'm going to move him to the side inter Lexus. For this illustration, we're going to turn off our sketch layer. So I will love or SAT positive axes and either lock our sketch. Ve created one layer which is underneath our sketch layer. Lock. Now let's import our reference picture Canvas and reference input. That's how allow the docs as well. We already grabbed same brush. Brush, grab light yellow color. Once again, like I told you, yet, try and tool shows a basic colors. But once again, we will have more than one color. Just now I need to try doing besides the lie. This part of our doc. He's like a ball. And we need to show where as a lightest part of all bomb, darkest under I like SAT. Now grab slightly darker shade. Now grab a light color, maybe you can make it a little bit darker. Just tiny bit. Perfect. Grip light color. And show all parts of our doc. Doc is very lovely. Now I would need to create one more layer above and we need to show feet and feet book pretty orange. Like speed. Lighter color. Now let's move to pick darker shade. Even darker. Now, I have pre to dark around our lovely ice. We need to show color. Yellow. Now we return to our yellow color. The crab plan to tool has a blender. I'm using a brush pen, Let's plant and they trolley. Perfect. Let's return to this part. Let's lower Zab, pass it to even more. Unlock the sketch. Lower SAT positive T of 20% block into Ghana. Have very lovely. I'm Carlos is not the end. We're going to add more sheets. How to address it. We need to remove the transparency. Because as you'll see when we turn off the background color and our paper layer uses a color is predetermined parent. If you want to use Clipping Mask or alpha lock, we need to remove the transparency because without set of colors is the shades would not be feasible. I will duplicate the color layer. I'll go to lower layer, tap the adjustments tab hue, saturation and brightness and turn brightness tool maximum, 100% Duplicate it two times and I'm merged together with our original layer. Is this part. Go to Lamar layer, hue saturation and brightness, brightness to maximum. Duplicate it two times and merged together. You see now when we turn off our background color to a dark is not transparent anymore. I will create one more layer above our dark. I'll press clipping mask, and I will move to multiply, blend delay or malt. Our grabbed dark yellow color. Grab over to color background. So now I want to add a little bit of shades and how I'm doing that by using this brush because this brush is very soft. Give spare realistic shades. Even yellowish. Why? Because sometimes when to gather some next to each other, they can blend wanted. And what we are going to show now said, sir, orange color plants into the yellow color. Grab pink color. A little bit around his beak. I want to make this area a little bit yellowish. Pinkish. It yellowish. I can now grab yellow color, create one more layer above. Also clip it. It's automatically in a Clipping Mask Mode, but I don't change the blending mode. It's normal. I just wanted to make it a little bit brighter. Leave a better area around the eyes. Maybe even brighter. Now, I'll return to our previous layers. This one, I want to grab a darker color, dark yellow. Because here in this part, we have a little bit of shades which are pre, too dark. Made it too dark. Color. Perfect. Now I'm going to do same way as the rest. I'll merge everything together. So now this is without shades. This is our shades. That looks good. I'll merge everything together, create one more layer, clip it, move to multiply. It. Still has this dark orange color. And I want to show the shades in this area even darker. We use watercolor. It's very important to show the contrast because watercolor likes contrast. Little bit reddish color. Sound right here. We can go and show tiny shades. The edges. Be careful. Don't put too much on the sheets. Now, pinkish color. I want to add some shades to this area. Controls or size. Pinkish color here. I can't allow the doc. I like it. I'll merge bonds again, this is without shame because it's reached shapes and reshapes, of course it's way more better. Now next step, I'll create one more layer above. And we have some options. I think I want two lovers opacity of our sketch layer to you. 8%. Actually, I think normally is still needed lock because we need to show the details on our beak. Look at our next step. Go to Multiply, Blend and layer mode. Grabbed pool paul. Dark red color, red and pink. Like I told you remember, watercolor likes contrast. Don't be afraid to destroy your paint into. It's totally fine. Especially in Procreate. You always can like lowers opacity or remove your last tab. That's easy to do. Now grand blending tool lowers the size. And carefully blended blended edges. Of course, watercolor likes contrast, but on the other hand, it also likes Wednesday colors and those that own past. Perfect. Now let's add some shades here, and we will be ready to turn off. Our sketch layer. You see on our reference picture Here we are so many shades. Once again, you can clip it. If you've done one, you don't need to actually do it. It's just when you clip it, you automatically don't go beyond two lines. But I actually wanted to call beyond the lines this time. I want clips, this layer. Once again, it's up to you. You can try it. Let's show the shade here. Some tiny shade in this part. Shade here. I forgot to add color in this area. 1 second. You see my bed. I didn't add a shade. Now I need to shout. Now blending tool, as you see, I love her to psi solves a blending brush. Now it looks more realistic. Perfect. Later I will add highlights like what we did with in our previous birth. Because adding shades as great as it is not enough dose and yet to show. Sam highlights. Let's turn off our sketch and little by little. Second, I just wanted to show the shade. Shade, shade here. Now we're ready. Let's do it. That you turn off our sketch layer. Now we're ready to start painting. Our bird is very, very lovely. I'll keep it at way. I like it. I want to merge it together for now. I'll create one layer above our body. I'll clip it. And I hope Mark to multiply, grab yellow color might be a little bit the current temp 90 cycle, what we did, and as you understand this is very important step like this. Duplicate it two times. I love reset positive, merge it together with this one. Now, I went to go to curves. We can play around and make our dark, darker or lighter. It's up to you. Yeah, I went to make it a little bit more saturated. Like say is this way. I'm gonna go and add more and more shades. This stamp is very gentle. Be careful. Fits very lovely. When you duplicate it. It's very realistic. We can keep etc, as well. Alexis. Duplicate it one more time. Let's go here. Just look what we have in this area. We can lovers his size and add some shades to this area. Merge that together as well. Now I went to add some shades to this part of duplicate this layer. Actually to like how it looks. I'm going to keep it that way. I'm going to give it one more time. Yeah, we should not forget about this part. I wanted to change the color of the stem, go to hue, saturation and brightness. I think which color might be more suitable? You might remove the saturation, make it brighter, maybe reddish color. If you wanted to come over SAP positive and it wouldn't be sad. Okay? Next I want to duplicate that layer. Go here. Preform. We can distort the proportions. Lexus. I like to just perfect. Gonna keep it this way. Next I will merge everything together. I think I went to merge, okay, almost everything. I'll create one more layer above our clip. Move to multiply. Reddish color. What it kind of stem 19. I went to add some stems to fits. You see, I cut it a little bit. I need to choose a new stamp. Next duplicated. Because it's not always clear because the stamp is very gentle. We can do exist. Okay, perfect shade. If you want, you can duplicate even more. And in this way it would be darker. I like that. I'll duplicate the layer. Flip horizontal. I move it. I'm going to keep it that way. Next we still have our beak. I think we need to add some colors to the beak as well. Look at the shades on the picture. You can distort it a little bit. Yeah, keep it that way. K's a shade is also very good. I do like it. I don't think that we need to add something else. I'll merge it together. My saturation, we actually like it's not enough just to draw as a bird like it's beautiful, of course. We can merge everything together, but I actually want to add some, some shapes underneath. You see under the birth we have some ground. So we don't need our reference anymore. We will place our birth to the center. Altogether. We say illustration. Let me unlock it. Replace it here. Underneath, we created a new layer. I'll grab this blue color is called beach brush, because our bird is not transparent and doesn't interfere with weeds. Albert, you see here, if you want, you can change the size. You might do axes at way or this way. Like how it looks, I want to add more sheets. As you see here. There are some parts of the predetermined parents still transparent, so we will need to remove silver lipids. Eraser. You see it perfectly fits with color without wanted to get into here in the darker, like said. I don't want to keep it dark. Grab selection tool. And it's an area where we have our dark. We need to select it. After say, three fingers down and tap cut scene, he removes a transparent that overlap pins. The dark looks very beautiful. This is not the end. I still want to add tiny bit of blur. Watercolor. Step 19 grabs this yellowish color. I want to show something that together, place it on the news. You see underneath. I just wanted to show us that the color ligament deletes. You see it's very rarely stick. Same blue color. You see it's very beautiful because in this way, it seemed like real watercolor and color bleeds wanted and that's actually what the color is supposed to do. Great. Sameness, say swing. That will be my suggestion. I actually want to make it a little bit brighter. I will merge everything together here. I'll go to curves. You see, I made it a little bit darker. Same, I'm gonna do these feet. I'll create one more layer under nice same brush. That's hard to show it here because the colors are blue, color is very saturated fat, we can duplicate it. Nafta, use lovely curves. That's still possible. Duplicate it one more time lover. Likes, add one more here. Same ongoing, merge that together and go to curves. Looks good. What I'm going to do with blue color because I think this is a little bit too dark. Black. It's normal of course, but we need to show that it's very organic. So we need to show us a blue color as well. It should be on a top of Albert. Our DAC is ready guys. This is our lovely illustration. What else you can do? You can merge everything together. Like here. Bird has all the shades. Here we have the shade so we can turn it off. You see, darn them, say swine and we have our doc. And it's hard and lovely when we mix it together with our background so I can merge everything together. And I can go to Curves and make our birth it even brighter. We can add more contrast. You can play around and you can do whatever you like. I like. Menacingly, little bit brighter, just tiny. You can go to his saturation brightness also can play around with our dark. Change the color, but still I wanted to keep it that way. We've done with our second illustration case now been moved to the next part, where I'll show you how to paint bird in gouache style. And you're gonna paint the postcard. 5. 3rd Illustration: Gouache : I will select layer size of the group Sam, renames and ALIP rides like. Second illustration. Here. We can turn it up. We have the third one. Thought illustration. We're gonna use. For this illustration, we're going to use finally gouache brushes. I will go and grab pull gouache brush. And now we need to move our paint in a little bit to the right side. Because here we will have, like from the side, we will have our reference picture. Bird is so lovely. I'll try to explain you briefly. Have to use a brush and we will paint it in very interested in the way I'll go and I'll grabs is pretty bright, grayish color. May already have our brush. We will not have our sketch, so I will let her SAP acid. Why is this brush is cool? Because when you do a new strokes, it can help you to bring a little bit different colors. And it's what we need for our today's illustration. I love her to size a little bit because I need to show the feathers a little bit here. It's very easy to do thanks to his brother. Because he said, every time you make a stroke, color is slightly different. That's why it's cool. It's interesting. And let's just try, try to start adding more colors. Our aim is to show differentiates. One more option. What else you might do if you want to save the time? Mexico are a little bit brighter. You might feel sad. Some parts of a bird with some particular color, enough to say, you will start adding some feathers like little by little. This is one of the options. I think I'll stick to this because I want to try to save some time. This color is like zip feet of a bird is like nearly purple. I like it because of the sun, because of the reflections. Draws a size of surprise. I wanted to draw this bird because it's a very, very unusual. I haven't seen such birds. They look like wonderful bluish color. Look here, look at the feet. So blue sound kind of shows this color. The contrast is very big, so be careful. This part is not said blue. Also, as you might see, is this area has a shade bluish. Here. We also have shades. This part isn't shade. You see shade of blue color are different every time we started to paint. Whats a difference of gouache brush and black might previous watercolor brushes. Because gouache is more thick, it's not transparent and tall. Unless you mix it to his water. Creates different feeling. It's not like oil paint and of course by this, I think is closer to oil paint in zen to gouache style for illustration. So I do like it. And I went to paint points style. I will try to create more and more classes related to gouache illustration. You see it's so beautiful. Thanks to the brush. You don't actually need to change the color every time. It helps you to create this like variation system dynamic just by itself. Darker shade here. Blender. I'm going to use Foucault blender, control the size. You also can use Zs brush as a brush, I'll show you. But be careful because in this way it will be pretty light, but it's great if you want to also mix some colors and you want to make it an onset bride. It's also fine. You have options here. Don't have just one brush done to our review, mixed together some colors, It's fine. Just add some other colors selected different a little bit later. Blends and sharp lines. Now let's move to the tree trunk. Plans, some colors. Altogether. You see it like real authentic gouache. I think I wanted to plan this part as well. Like sad now tree trunk. I think I'll stick to this bright reddish color. I'll choose this brush because it's easier to feels that area. His brush, It's a little bit greenish. You see as a tree trunk has differentiates and our AMPs to actually show us this difference. Remember this brush is great and blend in as well as high. It's a color like black swan and another. Now we're gonna need to switch to book wash brush. You want to show some lighter part? I actually needed to paint it on a different layer. I think it's fine. We just need to be careful when we paint. Because once again, everything that we paint is on one layer. You see I like this feeling that they create blending tool. Blend. Tree trunk here. Careful music in. This part is darker. Blend. I came down with a bird. Now, we shouldn't forget about the background. It's pretty blurry, so I'm gonna use zip brush. You just blender, gouache blender brush. And I grabbed this also bluish color. Now my aim to show, once again rises brushes cool cause it doesn't actually, it's not transparent. So you didn't need to remove transparency in order to show background or whatever. Try to follow the picture. Here we have brighter side. I think I still can show some tree trunk. Yeah. I wanted to do it that way. Okay, perfect. Let's return to our background. Shows this dark color. This background also should be pretty dark as you need to show the bird just brought. Bird is very bright. Like sad. I'm not sure I want to add greenish shade, maybe a slightly lighter. I think this way is perfect. Unlike watercolors, style, doesn't require you to be less accurate. You might add more strokes, whatever you like, and so on. So let's move to the next bar, wherever you got to add more details. Now I have any to add more shades. I'm gonna create one molar pool gouache brush, and let's start adding some shades. On Denise. Here we'll have some grayish color. We can start from top to bottom. Let's make it bigger. Now, a little bit lighter. Bluish color here. Thanks to a stroke. It looks very good. Now let's go to this it around. I have pretty dark colors. Blend and blend a little bit. Thanks. Don't worry if you think it's A-sharp, you're gonna blend some plank, sharpest part. Dark shades. Don't forget about highlights. Remember I told you, grab you have the light side. You also have a dark side. If you can't have just that guan color. Same as dark colors. Likes at Donbass bird from now. Later, if you're gonna add more shades. Now, and I keep it said. Remember we also need to show some highlights. Let's create one more layer above. I wanted to love herself, paucity, Mexico peak more realistic. I can't perfect. Now let's do it same with street trunk. I wanted to add more shades. This is our changes his ways. Our shades create one more layer above. I wanted to March together. This two layers. I want, I'll create one layer above. Now we need to show the tree trunk. Now I became controls that positive make it brighter or lighter. I went to keep it that way, 77% create one layer above. I still want to add some kind of highlights on top. Parts of a tree trunk. Like sad. I do like to weigh how it looks. I'm going to merge that together. The tree trunk legs out March that together as well. Our bird is almost ready. I want to add more details, blend some parts, and birth. What would be ready? Grab blending tool. Once again, you can duplicate a layer in case if you want to, I don't know, like the mitigate it one more time in case if you will not like how you blend it. Like we saved original layer. If you want, you can blend it away. Once again, this totally new style, so it doesn't need to be the same as what we had when we were painting with watercolor. Now have a need to tiny details and digital music. 6. Final Details: Let's pack tiny bit of shades. That's what the independent view blend everything. That's our original layer. I think I would like to stick to this one. I'll create one more layer above. And I want to hit some shades and highlights. How crap white color, blue gouache brush. Here I want to separate. You see our bird. I wanted to show tiny feathers. We can turn off our sketch layer. We don't need it anymore. Here looks very beautiful how I create while my sketch above as well. I want to separate. Let me show some parts. Bird. Now I want to show you how to create actually postcard. We need to create composition and I already have some idea. I'll merge that together. I'll create one more layer under knees and grab a guage blender. Of course, I want to make a little bit of colors here all around. I like how it looks, It's beautiful. I'll duplicate this layer, merge together our original layer as a background picture this one out. And I duplicated it because in case if I destroy it, I still feel have a chance to paying second time. Now, I want to remove some parts. You see as his brush is also great as an eraser as well. That will be our composition and I like it. I truly like it. I gave you create slightly composition. Now, you want to add some text. We need to think, what do you want to do? If you want, you can increase the size. But be careful you grab uniform. Now composition is better. We need to create one layer above. Grab white color, tap, Add, turn off reference picture, tap, Add and tap, Add text. Here we can write maybe dream. Hi. Choose a font that you like. Like the way how it looks. I'll mode here. Now what we're going to do, we will go to this layer, press, cut and paste. Perfect. Now our dream height is actually separate layer. It's not a text. Okay, what should we do next? I will go and I will press Select. So now our text is selected. I'll go and grab blue gouache blender brush. I grabbed this light green color like this, like this, like this. If you want to make it darker, you might grab another brush that I dream. Hi guys, it was the end of our lovely class. And now you know how to paint birds in different styles.
