1. Introduction: Hello, everyone. I'm Jotia Gabal and I welcome you to my class where I will tell you how you can draw using digits. In this class, we are going to use two digits digit one and digit two. This class is not just about digit drawing, but also converting those digit drawings into a masterpiece. You can easily join this class and learn from this class even if you are a beginner. So yes, no prior experience is required to join this class. In the next lesson, I have also shared the project work in advance so that you can have an idea of what project work you have to submit, so you'll learn and prepare according to it. See you in the next lesson. That was all for the introduction. Let's see what the next lesson holds up for us. 2. Project Work: Hello. Welcome back. For project work, you just have to make a digit drawing. You can use any digit that you have learned in this class, or you may recreate what you have learned in this class, or you can also use other digits and then turn those digits into digit drawing and then turn that into a masterpiece. The choice is yours whether you want to create or recreate the same that we have learned in this class, or you want to give a personal touch to your masterpiece. After creating it, you just simply have to cl its picture and upload the picture in project and resource section of this class so that I can have them and I can give suggestions and my reviews on them. So this was all for the project work. Let's see you in the project section and in the next lesson to see what material we need for this class. 3. About Art for Digit 1 : Hello, everyone. In this lesson, I'm going to tell you about the art piece that we are going to create using the digit one. For digit one, I'm going to make a candle using this digit and also going to add the design of mandala to it. So this class is going to be a mixture of Mandala art and the number art. Also, we are going to use colored pens and sketch pens for this. So this type of artwork can be done by the beginners also. We are starting with the beginner level so that also the beginners can join easily and can get a good interest in this kind of art as the class progresses, we are going to move to different art techniques as well as different art styles also, so that all the artists out there joining this course, looking for some art hobby or a new art shot course can explore more easily. Let's move to the next lesson to see what kind of material we are going to use in this class. 4. Material Required for Art from Digit 1 : Talking about the material that we are going to use in this class is basic white paper sheet. If you want, you can use colored sheets also. Variations are always welcome in my class. But for this particular class, I'm using my art file. You can take out any size sheet if you want. Also, the thickness of the sheet does not matter much here because we are going to use only the colored pens and the sketchpins. We are not using any heavy material or any liquid material that can ruin the sheet. So the thickness hardly matters in this lesson. Next, we need a pencil to draw, a ruler, a pen, compass to draw circles for mandala, one more small pencil that must be shorter than the height of the compass so that we can draw circles with a great ease. Colred sketch pens for adding colors in our masterpiece. Let's move on to the next lesson to see what holds up for us. 5. Art from Digit 1: Welcome back. Let us now start drawing from our digit one. For this, I'm going to use a ruler first, and with the help of the pencil, we are going to draw a small straight line that will be used as the base of the candle that we are going to draw. Now, use the ruler again to draw a perpendicular line onto this base. This line will be used as the candle. Now, with some approximments, draw a slant line free hand to make it number one. Now drawing it like this with the help of the ruler and pencil by drawing another perpendicular line that is parallel to the first line that we drew. Now the digit one is turned into the candle. Let us erase the extra baseline that we drew earlier. Now, draw a small line that will be the wick of this candle. After that, to show the light of this candle, we are going to draw a leaf like structure over this wick. As we are showing here that the candle is burning for a few time, let us make some dropping wax out of this candle. This completes the basic candle. Now let us work on to the stand of this candle. For this, let us draw a parallel line very close to the base line. Now simply turn these lines into the base of this candle. Now it's time to use the compass to draw the mandala circles inside this candle. From this, I'm taking the metallic tip out of this candle and placing it near it. So can I draw circular designs inside the candle easily? For this, I'm going to increase the distance between the metallic tip and the pencil tip of this compass slowly gradually in each ring. The distance between these rings depends upon your design and the thickness of the candle that you have created. Now it's time to add some colors to the light of the candle. For this, I'm using yellow sketch pen, but to make sure that we don't ruin our sheet and our masterpiece, we must erase what we have drawn with pencil as the light of the candle. Because what we have usually noticed is that while using the yellow sketch pen, we must not use the pencil or any other colored sketch pen near it or over it so that the yellowness of this color is maintained well. If we use yellow color with any other color or pencil even, it becomes dark and it looks very untidy. Now, we are going to use pink sketch pen to outline the candle properly. Make sure to outline the dropping wax also as the base color of this candle is pink. So we are showing that the dropping wax is also of pink colour. Fill in pink color in all the droppings that we have made to show that it is the droplet of wax. Now, as we are showing the base color as pink, we have to color these two portions with pink sketch pen only as the mandala is the art that we are inculcating in this art piece. But the base of this candle is pink, so we have to show the rest of the candle that is without the mandala design to be pink only. Make sure to color the base portion carefully and neatly. Now use black sketch pen to outline all the mandala rings that we have drawn inside this candle. If you are confident enough, you can use the compass to make all these rings with the sketch pin. But here I would suggest as the drawing is very mini drawing, you can go free hand outlining all the rings that we have drawn using the compass. Also, outline the wick of the candle, as well as the base of this candle using the black sketch pen only. I'm filling black color in the stand of the candle, you may change the color according to your preference. Now it's time to add design the mandala design into these mandala rings that we have drawn. For this, here, I'm using a red pen. You can use any other pen also. The reason why I'm not using a sketch pen inside this and only using a pen is that the sketch pens are a bit thicker than the pens. The space between the rings is already very less as the drawing is very small. So it is better to use a pen rather than a sketch pen. Here I'm adding only the basic mandala designs that I have already discussed many times in my other courses. But if you don't want to go to those courses, you can simply learn these easy mandala designs here by just looking at them. The designs that I'm using here are really very simple so that anyone can copy them or learn from them. You can modify the designs as per your own masterpiece and your own choices. Here I'm trying to balance it out by adding some background color also. But if you want, you can make it only without background color and comprise of only designs. You can keep on adding simple designs like these to fill in all the mandala. So this was all for our art one. Let us move on to the next lesson to see what we say about Art two. 6. About Art from Digit 2: Hello, everyone. In this lesson, I'm here to tell you about the next art that we are going to make using the digit two. For this art, I'm going to use a mini sheet and going to work on it so that I can create a mini painting here. You can choose the size of a sheet or the canvas as per your requirements and desires. As I'm going to use Grali colors for this artwork, this class will be related to paints and paint brushes. Simple and basic techniques and suggestions will be shared throughout the process. Let's see how we create our master. Be excited to create a boat using the digit two. So let's move on to the next lesson to see what material we need. 7. Material Required For Art from Digit 2: Welcome back. In this lesson, I will tell you the material that we're going to use to start the art for digit two. For this, I'm here using a small cutout of white sheet. The size of the sheet may vary according to the one who is creating the art. Also we are going to use the pencil to draw the art. You can also use black sketch pen for drawing it or any other color sketch pen depending upon what kind of art you want to create. In this lesson, we are going to start with the poster colors or acryl colors. The colors basically depends upon your choice. Here, I'm using acryl colors. You can also use poster colors if you have poster colors or watercolors with you. Also, we are going to use the combination of flat brush as well as zero size brushes. I'm here not using very thick brushes. You can see here the flat brush is also very thin, not much thick, because the size of the sheet is really very small and we have to paint in the sheet only. So it depends according to the size of the sheet. So this was the basic requirement. Let's move to the next list and to see what it holds up. 8. Art from Digit 2: To start here, let us start with drawing the digit that is the primary requirement of this class. Here the digit is two. Let us draw the digit two first in an appropriate size because we don't want to create a very big art piece here, I'm creating a mini painting, so the size of the two digit should be as per the sheet. Here, I'm extending the line from the top of the digit two and then joining it like a curve from the backside. Now extend the top front of digit two and then draw this middle line in a curve manner. Now, from here, we are going to join in a curve manner only to the base line of the digit two to make it look like a houseboat. Here you can see how simply and how easily we created the digit two into a boat. Now to extend this boat to give this boat a depth, we're going to make one more layer of this similar to the other layer. To give this a three D and a real look, I'm going to draw these lines, maybe parallel to each other, but these are curved also. On the both sides, we have to draw the same line to create a three D effect or a realistic effect. This is the inner part, the hollow part of this boat. Here I'm drawing with pencil, I'm shading with pencil, but later on we will most probably remove it. We'll go with the floor for now I have drawn this just to show you that this is a three D drawing and to give it a three D effect. Also, you can do the corrections if you feel there is less amount of roundness, you can give more roundness or if you think something looks very sharp, you can just go with the corrections and make your drawing look better. Now to convert this drawing of a boat into a scenery, let us draw some water lines underneath this boat and a few birds, easy bird drawing around it so that it looks like more of a scenery. If the size of the sheet that you have taken is bigger than this, you may also use some trees to cover the area. You may also draw some people around it or you may also draw an island at a background or maybe any other big ship in the background or maybe any other things that you observe when you are into a sea or into a river, you may draw some mountains or hills at the background that totally depends upon the size of the sheet, how much detailed drawing you want to do. All these detailings and all these background and all the things that you want to add depends completely upon the one who is drawing it, who is creating the masterpiece. This was all for the drawing part. Let's move on to the next lesson to see how we can change the whole outlook just by using the colors. Assume the next lesson. 9. Let's colour for Digit 2 Art: So, guys, let us start coloring it. For coloring, here I'm taking a plate, a glass plate, which I'm going to use as a color palette. You can also take any plate or another plate, paint plate for mixing the colors and for using them efficiently. And I have taken water in a small bowel. Next, I'm using these Acari colors to paint. Now for this, you can also use watercolors, and the painting mediums depends upon your choice. Let us choose the colors that we need. Firstly, I'm taking white color. As you can see here, we need dark blue color and white color to create the light blue color that we can use as a color of the water. Next, you can choose other colors like brown, black, green, red, as per your choice to fill in the colors to the boat. One thing you can notice here is that I have kept all the bottles upside down. I've already explained the reason for this in my previous classes also that keeping the bottles upside down help us to keep our paints really fresh when we open them. Now to create the light blue color, let us start by mixing the white color with the blue colour to create the perfect balance of blueness of the water. I'm pouring a small amount of white color directly into the plate from the bottle instead of using a brush here. Why? Because I don't want to dip my brush into the white color and then dip the same brush in the blue color. It will affect the rest of the color that we are going to have in our bottles. When we need great amount of white color and we need just a pinch of blue color, we will do as directed, we will firstly add white color in ample amount in the plate and then add a little bit of blue color in the white color to make it look like a exact blue color that we need. Here you can see I have taken all the paint that was there in the cap of the bottle only. This is one of the advantage that we don't have to dip the whole brush so that the color will not get absorbed in the brush, which helps us to maintain the color tone that exactly we need. Mix the color really well so that every drop of blue color mixes well with green, sorry, with white color. Mixing or we can say blending of colors is really very important step here because the shade that we're creating will be there on the sheet as a balance between the air and the water. So I'm adding a few drops of water also here so that to dilute it because I feel the paint is not that much diluted as our water is. So just to dilute it, we are adding some water and then mixing it again. To mix it properly, we are moving our paint brush with the color, and now let us move to our sheet to paint it. One thing you may notice here is that I'm using only the flat brush here because this is the great area that I have to cover. This is one of half of the area of the whole painting that I have to cover. So I'm using flat brush because I have to cover more area. For covering less area, we use round brushes. Now you can notice here that I'm adding color to the water in the form of its waves only. The way I have drawn the waves in the same manner, I'm adding colors to it to make it look like the water is actually wavy and is moving. Also, you will notice here the color, the texture of the color is not very smooth that it just looks like a two D drawing. I have given it some three D effect. I'm keeping it somewhere thick and somewhere light so that it gives an effect of three D and it shows that it is actually the water that is flowing. I've also covered the bottom of the boat with water, a bit of it to show that when the boat is there on the water, it actually get covered by water, some portion or some area, some area of the bottom of the boat gets dipped into the water. So that is what I want to reflect here. So that's the only reason I'm covering it from the bottom to show that it is actually moving. It will not look like a vague scenario. It will look like some real scenario if we do so. Make sure to cover the edges as well as the corners of a sheet that you are using here to make it look like that it is actually a cutout from the actual scenario, not just one that painted in between of a sheet. So make sure to cover the edges and corners perfectly. Now the next step is to clear out your brush really well, dip it into the water and wash it together. And you can use the next brush here. We are using the round brush because if you use the round brush, we can cover the small area with great details. So using the brown colour and the round brush now to color the boat. Let us see here what area we are covering. We just have to keep the cap of the bottle with us in our hands. That helps us that we don't have to dip much of our brush into the bottle that will make our drying be zoned, why? Because the brushes usually absorb so much paint when they are dipped inside the bottle. So using the bottle cap is just like using a palette, so it helps a lot. Also adding color in this hollow area of this boat to make it look like that this is the inside part of this cover. This cover is of the boat that actually covers the boat from maybe heat, sun, or maybe the chilly winds that blows and it is a kind of a shelter. For the people who are sitting inside the boat. So this is the inside part of the boat that is visible to us. Next, we are going to use a red colour, red colour to color the outside part of this boat. I'm using red colour to color it. Why? Because red colors have the greatest wavelength. So that is why most of the boats and even the danger signs have red colour over them so that it is visible from far, far away. That is one of the main reasons that most of the boats and all the things that we need in the time of emergency in the case of emergency are mostly red and it reflects to a greater length and it is, however, visible to the people who are far away. So to make your boat visible, the fishermen or the boat owners usually use red colors, mostly to cover the outer body of their boat. That is one of the reasons that I have observed that most boats are of red color, so I'm choosing red color here. That is my reason you can choose any other color. You may color it with your favorite color. So that is up to you. Even if you are not practice enough using brushes, this is very, very easy to do so. So you may practice orbit and then go ahead with the pink brushes and work with them because using brushes is not very difficult. While using the basic techniques. Yes, it becomes difficult when you are going for the higher techniques, but for the techniques that we are going to use here in this lesson and in this art class are very, very basic for a painting person. If you're not a painting person, you can easily start with it and start going or doing more of it. Yes, if a bit of it comes out, not an issue because later on we are going to outline them and everything will be hidden and will be sorted. Next, we are going to use green colour, and we are going to fill this green colour using the paint brush only. I'm here also using round paint brush, and I'm filling the rest of the area of the boat with this green colour. After completing this green color, we are going to clip it aside and wash our brush. After washing the brush, we are now going to start with the black color. Yes. All the words in the sky that we have drawn, these are very easy arctives that we have drawn, just a alphabet we have drawn in the sky and with that, we are going to draw these words around them, and then also we are going to use this to outline and to put some details into the boot. So just basic details, you are going to add some lines and some hidden lines, and that's it. Some designs also, you may make some design, but you can also do this using the leg sketchpen that we are going to use later on. So if you want, you can draw these lines using the lexketchman option. Or you may also go first on any other design. Arcums are super sketch pins. Now using these colored sketchin to outline that area which is colored by the same watercolor or acrylic color. I'm choosing the brown color first and outlining all the area that is painted brown and it will create a great effect. As I said, if any color comes out a bit of it, it always colors it really well and it always hides all the imperfections and makes that drawing really look beautiful. Only outlining the colors, the area that was painted brown. After this, we are going to use the next color to outline the area. Next, we are choosing a red. Let us outline the area that we have painted red. Just be careful that you don't mess with the sketch pens here because if you are going to do any extra lines or something, that will be difficult for us to power them. Outlining with red makes it look very perfect. You can see here all the distortions that were there earlier are now covered using this sketch pen. After all the outlining, let's just move on to some designing and detailings. For this, my favorite is black to put colors on it and to add outlines and detailings. For this, you can also use the watercolor or clay color that we did earlier. But here, I'm not going for that because I have to draw some spirals, and I believe it is easier to draw spirals using these ketchens as compared to the brush or brushes. Basic spirals to create some design over it to make it look beautiful and add in some dots here and there around it. To make it look like a fabric that is being printed well. So this was all as a small painting a mini painting used that you do. This is taking you to bright day and enjoying boating and whatnot. I really can't explain what kind of feeling it is to create this masterpiece. Also, putting some light over the water lines. You can see here that all the lines look, so pretty here that it shines and all the three lines are also visible well from the water. So it was all from digit two. Let's move on to the next lesson to see what digit three is for. 10. A Word with You: Hello, guys. I'm really happy to see that you have made Tin here in this class. I hope you have learned something new and found this class useful as well as interesting. I'm truly looking forward for your project works in the project section of this class.
