1. Introduction: I've been making well over $10,000 per month with
affiliate marketing for the last six years from a very simple strategy
that I learned when I first got started
in the online world. And in this class, guess what I'm going to share. The exact same formula
that I've been using so you can apply the same
principles in your business. Hello, I'm Whitney Bonds, and I'm a wife, mom,
and content creator, and the reason I'm
doing this class is because I am completely
self taught. But I wish I had someone to
learn from when I first got started instead of trying
to do everything on myself and having all these
trial and errors. So I'm always getting
asked like, Whitney, how can I get started in filing marketing
and do what you do? So that's what exactly what I'm going to be showing
you in this class. Now, one important thing to know is to be successful with
affiliate marketing, it's important that you have an established online presence
and an engaged audience. This is how you're
going to be able to see the most success. Now, in this class,
we're going to be talking about what
affiliate marketing is, how it works, why it exists, how to choose the right
platform in Niche, types of content that perform really well when it comes
to affiliate marketing, how to get people to click
on your affiliate links. You know, this is
everything, and popular affiliate programs. By the end of this class,
you'll walk away with the simple formula that I use to make money through
affiliate marketing. Now, your class project will be to share a product that you can use to make money from
through affiliate marketing. Now, before we jump into how to build a successful
affiliate marketing model, let's discuss what
a filate marketing is and why it exists.
2. Affiliate Marketing Essentials: So what is affiliate marketing
and why does it exist? Well, affiliate
marketing exists because companies want to make
money. Remember that. Businesses create different
products and services, and now they need to sell it. But think about
this. The Internet is so crowded with so
many different products. How can they break
through the noise? Well, they can do it through
people like you and me, where they will actually pay us a percentage of the sale if we can get people
to purchase one of their products or services. So that's why af filate
marketing exists, and that's why it works
so well for people like you and me because
businesses they need us, and we're like their partner. And that's why a lot of
times you want to hear about affiliate
marketing partners. We are partnering with
different businesses so we can help sell
their products. It's like you're a salesperson, basically, but you're doing
it on your own schedule, and it's completely
up to you how much you want to do or how
little you want to do. Let me give you an example of how affiliate marketing works. So say, for example, you like the way this video
looks, and you're like, Hey, Winnie, what kind
of camera do you use? Well, instead of me just
telling you it's a canon 90 D, I'm not going to do that. What I'm going to do is,
I'm going to go to Amazon, search for a canon 90 D camera, make sure this supplier
has good reviews. I'm going to get my
unique referral link using this tool
called site stripe. I get the link for the camera, and instead of just
saying a canon 90 D, I'm going to send you my
referral link and say, Hey, this is the camera
that I use, and that's it. So if you click on that link and make a purchase within 24 hours, I'm going to get a
commission for that. And that is exactly why I love affiliate marketing because
it's a complete win, win. I get to help you know
what kind of camera I use, and I get to make money
in the same process. And to sweeten the deal is, if you use Amazon, say Wever clicks on my
affiliate link and says, I need to also get some
pots and pans or whatever, because Amazon can sell
everything, anything, most. So anyone that adds anything
to their card during the time that they clicked on my affiliate link
and make a purchase, I get a commission on that also, even if they didn't purchase what I was first recommending. Because I cause
that person to go to Amazon and make a purchase. So it's Amazon's way of saying, thank you for bringing people to my website and
making a purchase. They want to encourage
this behavior because the more
money that I make, the more money that they make. So we are partners in this. So they want to encourage me to keep keep bringing
people to my website, I want to keep giving you money. So that's how this all works, and that's why it works so well. The only thing when it comes to the Amazon Affiliate
program is that they offer one of the lowest
commission rates out there. So you might get a lot of
people buying from you. The amount that you're
earning may not be that much because of the amount
commission that they earn, and it's different for different categories
that they have, so it really depends on what you're promoting from Amazon. But we're going to get into some other ways
that you can make moneyth affiliate marketing shortly, so just
stick tuned for that. So to get started with
affiliate marketing, you need to choose a niche. Just like a business, you
need to know your audience. For example, my
audience are people who are looking for ways
to make money from home. So what I do is I share valuable content about ways
you can make money from home. Anytime there's a product
or service that I can promote with an
affiliate link I always do that because I want to help people with learning
different ways that they can make money from home rough
different courses or any tools or products
that I use that help me. I share those things and
not only things that I use, I find out what
other people use, and then I share what works for other people and tell
other people how it works, and they still click
on my affiliate links because I'm source. You know, I'm the person
that's recommending it, so they're listening to me. So they click on my links
when I'm ever promoting something that can help them specifically
in a certain area. And that's how I get to earn, and that's how I get to learn. Now, it's important
to find a niche. My niche falls under the
personal finance Niche, which is a category that makes the most money when it comes
to affiliate marketing. Now, here are some
other profitable niches for affiliate marketing. So personal finance is number
one, like I just mentioned, technology, so anything that you can promote like equipment, cameras, software,
beauty and fashion, education, and e learning, like online courses,
that's really big for me. Home and garden,
health and fitness. And all these niches, there are products and
services that people need. Your job is to help people and show them
how these products or services can help them using
your unique referraling. Now, if you want to be
successful in affate marketing, this is the one thing you need. You need people to trust you, like I was saying earlier. If they don't trust
you, they won't purchase anything based
on your recommendation. So you want to make sure that
whatever you're promoting, it's something
that you have been able to vet to make sure that it's legitimate because they have one bad
experience with you, they're never going
to trust you again, so you have to make sure that
whenever you're promoting, you can actually stand
behind and backu with some legitimate reason why that you're promoting
this product. You know, you don't
just want to promote anything because that's going
to be detrimental for you. So I created a Google spreadsheet template
to get you started on finding your competitors and affiliate products that
you want to promote. So it's linked in the resource
section of this class, I want to show you a quick
example on how to use it. So this is the
spreadsheet right here. It's just called affiliate
Marketing Programs, and I put an example
in here for you. This is exactly the same type
of spreadsheet that I use. So whenever I find
an affiliate program that I want to go
ahead and apply for, I put in the company, which, for example, Amazon, This is the website
that I'm want to go to where I have all my log in information and where once I actually want to
track my sales, this is where I go to to see, has anyone clicked
my affiliate links? And then I put in my user name. I obviously have this blank here because I don't want
to show you what I have. This is where you'll put yours. So you just anytime you find an affiliate program that you can promote, this is
where you want to put it, just to use a database to
remind you of what you have, and then go to it
frequently to say, like, did I get new sales? Because every time
you get a sale, not every time that
someone will notify you. Different affiliate
programs are different. Sometimes I get notified when someone makes a purchase
using my referral link. Many times in the different
programs they don't, so I have to just often
check it to see did it work? Did anybody click on my affiliate link
and make a purchase. So this press is going to be really helpful just
to kind of see, like all the things
that you have. Remember, you really, in
anything that you do, it's going to be like 20% of the things that you promote is going to make you
the most money. So if you could
really focus on just having ten affiliate programs
that you can focus on, that's a great number to have, and you don't have to
have that right away, but that's something
you might want to try and build yourself up to, at least having ten, because
that's probably going to be what's going to
make you the most money with affiliate marketing. Next up, we're going to discuss
how to choose a platform that's right for you and
examples of what works.
3. Platforms & Research : This lesson, we're going
to talk about how to choose a platform and
do some research. Now, in order to choose
a platform, first, find someone who is doing
what you want to do on whether it's YouTube,
Instagram or Facebook. See them often promoting
products or services, chances are they are using
affiliate marketing. Now, this is a great
way to be able to learn from someone else to see
what products they promote. So then you can
ask yourself, Hey, what I want to promote
something like that, if so, added to your spreadsheet, I want to show you a quick
example on actually how to find out if a company has an
affiliate program or not. Okay, so for example, if I'm trying to see if a company has an
affiliate program, the first thing I
do is I Google it. So for example, let's just
see this random example, but I I put in Shopify
affiliate program. And for those who
don't know, Shapefi is a website platform where
you can sell things like E commerce so you
can sell products and create it all on Shapefi
and sell it here. So if I want to say, like, I want to be an
affiliate of Shopifi, the first thing I would do
is go to Google and put in Shapefi Affiliate program
to see if they have one. So the first thing
I would do is, I'm looking for
the first top two search results to see
do they have one. Right here it says they do, so I see become a
Shapefi affiliate. So I say, Okay, apply now. And then I just go through
the process of signing up. I want to show you some examples of what you want to
do when you sign up, but you can go ahead
and just sign up. And then, like I was
talking about earlier, add that to your spreadsheet right here and then
put in the site. They're going to give you
your unique actual dashboard where you can look
at your sales. So this is the link that
you want to put here, and then your username as you can log in to see if anyone has clicked on your
unique affiliate link and signed up using your link. You're applying for
different affilate programs, they're going to ask
you for your social security number
for tax purposes. Now, if you're anything like me, I do not feel
comfortable giving out my social security
number to anyone. So what I do is I actually went and applied
for an EIN number, and you can do this for free for all those living
in the United States. And how you do this, I'm going to show you really quickly
on how to do this. Go to the irs.gov. And right on the home
page right here, you're going to say apply
for an employer ID number. You're going to go
ahead and do this. This is from Monday to Friday that you can do this.
It's completely free. You're going to
apply online now. You're going to sign up as a sole proprietor
and getting started, you can use your name
for your business. Now, remember this to make money with
affiliate marketing, it's all just by helping people. So when you have a product or service you want to promote, you need to show its value. How can it help someone? Why would they even want to buy it? You know, you
need to show that. So check out these
examples of how I use affiliate marketing and others so you can see how it
all works and why. So here's some examples of how I actually use affiliate
marketing on YouTube. So you can see how I have
these different videos, options training for beginners. This is a tutorial on how to
do options for beginners. So I give a basic instruction to interview with
someone who actually is talking about options. And basically, what I do is that I'm just
showing them a bit, giving them a snippet
on how this all works. But to actually move
forward with this, they're going to need to take a course to learn more about it. So what I do is is I, show them how cool
this is, how it works, give them enough
information to say, I want to move forward
with this, but I need to learn more. I
need to know more. And that's the reason that they want to choose to click on my affiliate link and
make a purchase for this course that's going to
teach them on how to do that. Another example is I do a lot of these different things like five best entry level remote jobs. So I have different jobs and things that you can learn
on how to make money. So people love
that kind of stuff because it shows them
like different options. And people love they
call listical posts. And people love this kind of stuff because they have options. So I want to give
them different ways. Some of these are
they don't even require having an
affiliate program. They're just there anything
that I'm recommending. It's just a way you can
make money for free. But some of the things
that I do promote, it does require you to take a course or something
just to learn more. So I'm always just
trying to not show that I'm everything that I'm talking about has to be something that they
have to pay through. I want to show value and say that this is a great
way to make money. You don't even have
to spend any money. On this way, this is another
great way to make money, but this does require
you to have some skills. And here's a course that
you can take to learn that skill so you can
make money doing this. So you see how I'm doing that? I'm just trying to show
value, but also, like, spring lend some different ways that they can have
to actually make a purchase so they can go ahead and learn something different for whatever I'm talking about. So I like to just sprinkling
a lot of free stuff, but then also some ways in that they may have
to make a purchase. So I don't look like
I'm always just trying to promote something
and making money. And if you do that, they're
going to say, like, she's just doing this only because she's trying
to make money. And I'm always I
believe and I know that everything
that I'm promoting is going to help someone. So I'm very confident
in what I'm promoting. But also, I don't want having
that thought that creating that thought in their
mind that I'm just doing this to make money because
if they think that, they're not going
to listen to me. So it's important to also just
do a lot of free content, a lot of free value,
and then sprinkle in some ways that they
can make money to get the best results. So how to post tutorials, those are the ways that you
can make the most money. And if you're going to use
Instagram or Facebook, I want to show you this example that went viral for this guy, and just by showing how a
product works. Let me show you. Now, this guy, his
name is Davey Orgo, and this real he did,
I'm showing you guys. It had over 133 million views. Watch this. That's
it. Take a seat. That was it. He just showed
how cool this chair was. And it says Comment
chair for Link. So whoever comments chair, it takes them to an affiliate
link that's on Amazon. And if you go to his
profile right here, you can see that if
you click on this, It's going to say six
person on folding chair. You can see he's
using his Amazon Affiliate link right here. So anyone that
clicks on that link, he's going to earn a commission for if they buy that chair. That's how Pilate
marketing works, and that's how easy can
be on social media. So you can just show
the value of a product. That is how you can make money
with affiliate marketing. You know, people
saw that and said, Oh, that's so cool. I need that. I'm going to be going to a
parade or something like that. I'm going to use
that for my family. They see it, they
click it, they buy it. He makes money. That's
how this stuff works. It's just showing a
value of the product. So think about what products
that you can show that has value that people
will want to buy if you could just show
them how it works. You know? That's
how this all works. Now, let me show you
three ways to find out if someone is actually using an affiliate link just
so you can know, like, are these an
affiliate link or not? Now, from this
example, right here, you can see they're
using an affiliate link because just look at the link. I want you to start just
looking at these links. So anytime you see
anything like bitley, you automatically know
that it's probably an affiliate link because
they are trying to hide of, they're just trying to
track these affiliate links and make them a shorter link. And to do that, a lot of people use this
tool called bitley. So this is anytime I
see this I'm like, Oh my gosh, that's
an affilate link. They're trying to promote something and make
money at the same time. It's totally fine. It's
just how I recognize it. Same thing with Amazon. Anytime
I see a link like this, I know that's an affiliate link. So I'm like, okay, so they're promoting this
is an affilate link. Does do I want to promote
something like that? So anytime you see
anything like that, And you always
look at the links. Look at this, go dot
jelly fishlighting.com, backslash, partner, Dave Orgo. That's another example of how you know that's
an affiliate lin. That's not just a regular
link that takes you right to these Jellyfish lights
that he must be promoting. So just keep that in mind when you are doing
affiliate marketing. This is how you can recognize whether someone is using
an affiliate Linker night. And that is how you can
ask yourself, Okay, so this person is
promoting that, do I want to promote
something like that? You want to easily be able to identify if someone is using
an affiliate Lynker night, and this is how you do it. Just this simple right here. Look at the URA and see
if this is something that If it's not direct to
the website of a company, it's an aft link,
and they're tracking it to try and
somehow make money. So that's just how you want to always think
if they're doing that, you want to say,
Okay, that's how you know to ask yourself, can
you do the same thing? In the next lesson, I

4. Profitable Affiliate Content, Programs & How to Get the Click : In this lesson, we're going to talk about how to get the click. Now, let's jump into your
class project together. Okay? So if you were promoting
something on YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, how would you get someone to
click on your Affiliate link? Now, if they don't click on your link, you won't get credit. So you always have to
be thinking, you know, I want to show this
product, but how can I get them to actually
click on my link? So I want to give you
some examples on how I cost to click on my
affiliate links. Now I want to go back to this
example on Instagram how he was able just to show you on how to actually
click on his link. So what this guy
did here is that he used a tool called Mini Chat. And that was able to say when he put in the comment
section, comment chair, that is how people were able to automatically when they
put the word chair, this tool cat miniat automatically sent them
his unique referral link. And that is how you can put
your business on autopilot, so he doesn't have to actually
go ahead and comment. The the tool does all
the work for him. And he even gave an example of how this went viral for him. He said that because he did such a short
real look at this, it's so quick that
people want to say, like, they want to
watch it again. They want to see
how does this work? And that's really good for the algorithm just to kind of say, like, people are
watching it again, so there's a reason for that. They must like it,
so they want to show it again to more
and more people. Even outlined, why
this went so well. But he also used this
thing called Mini Chat, and that was how he was able
to get people to click on his link because they didn't know how what this
chair was called. They didn't know how to
find this on Amazon. So they had to use him to
get the actual product that he used in this video to actually be able
to purchase it. So just keep that in mind. That is how he was
able to use this, and that's how you can too. Another thing that
I do on YouTube is, for example, over
here, in this video, specifically that I did, on how to start a blog
and make money, and this is for in 2022. I actually just asked them
to use my affiliate link. I showed them in the video this keyword research
tool that I was using to actually find out what people
were searching for. And I told them that
I'm going to put the tool that I used in
the comment section below, and I told them what it was. I said KW Finder. Below is my affiliate link. Go ahead and click
on that if you can, because that's a way of just kind of saying thank you and I can continue to do free
content like this. It's no extra charge to you to use my affil links to
go ahead and purchase this. So I gave that example, and I just asked
people, could they use my a field
links. And they did. I made thousands of
dollars from that program. And another way that I
actually get this is the tool. This is the way that
I think works best is I never say what the product
is that I'm promoting. So, for example,
even right here, I did a video on this
Options trading. So I talked about I had an interview with the guy and he was talking about his program. I never said the
name of his program. I just said I'm going to link it in the
description below. And that told people that
they had to click or go to the description or
the comment section to find out what the name
of this guy's program was. And they had to click
on my link to go to it. So that is a strategy that I use most of the
time on my videos, and you can use this on
social media and just say, I'm going to link
this tool below or link this right here
so you can check it out. Like, give them a reason
that they have to click because
that's the only way that you want to get credit. So always remember that. So knowing what you know now, think about your audience
and what could you promote that they
might want or need. And let me know what
your post will be and how you could get them
to click on your link. That's your project, and that's what you want to be
able to learn in this whole area is how to actually make money
through affiliate links. So think about what product or service that you can
promote to your audience, and then see if they have an
affiliate program available. My best strategy and
what I'd like to do is to look at my competition. What are they promoting? And then I ask myself
like I said earlier, do I want to promote
a product like that? If the answer is yes, I already know that they
have an affiliate program because I can see
through their links, if it's an affiliate product
or not. Then I go and apply. If I get denied, then I'll find out,
I'll ask them, why did you deny me because some affilate programs
require you to have a certain amount of
followers, traffic, reviews. Every affilate
program is different. I'm going to find out
why did they deny me, and then I'm going to
set that as a goal. So if they want me to have
a more engaged audience, more followers, whatever it is, I'm going to find
out what it is, so then I can work
towards that goal, so I'm going to apply
for that affilate program and start promoting. Because this is how I
was able to make money, and this is how I
was able to do it. I don't let these
rejections stop me. I just use that as
motivation to say, Okay, this is what I have to do to get accept to this
affiliate program. I go ahead, I do
what I have to do. I apply for it, and then I start promoting it and
start making money. So don't let any rejections
or denials like, stop your momentum, just say, Okay, now I know
what I need to do. I'm going to do
what I got to do, so I'm going to
start applying for these different
affiliate programs, get accepted and promote
them and start making money. So that is your project is
to find out what affiliate programs or what products or services that you can
promote to your audience, and then think about how can
you get them to click on it? You know, I always think about
in my mind, like, right. So if I show them, what
would make them want to click on it and
make a purchase, too? Keep that in your
mind. Keep that whoever keep yourself
in your mind. That's I always think
about what would make me want to
purchase or click? And think about that
and then ask yourself, how can I do this in a way
that will make them click on my link so they
can make a purchase, so I get to commission. So it's all about helping people and putting yourself in a
position to win as well.
5. Final Thoughts: All right, so I want to thank

affiliate marketing, which is knowing my
audience and creating valuable content that
they are interested in and then showing them
