1. Introduction: Hey everyone, this is Nithum Patel. In today's class, I'm going to teach you about this amazing cinematic product reveal animation blender. Basically, this class is divided into four episodes which are going to be downloading and installing blender Kit, add on and importing model from it, setting up some lights and adding constraints to it. After that, setting up camera and adding key frames for our animation. And at the last, what will be the best render and output settings? So join us on this achlarating journey as we craft a short captivating shot to elevate your product animation. See you in the first episode. Let's unleash our creativity together. 2. Downloading and installing blenderkit addon: In this video lesson, I'm going to teach you what is Blender Kit. Add on. It is an add on where you can find a variety of three D models, brushes, a bunch of materials, HDRIs, which environmental textures, and background sceneries which are completely free. First, I'm going to show you how to download Blender Kit, Add on and install it. Just simply go to a browser and just simply type here Blender Kit download. You have to go into the first link, then just simply download this Blender Kit. After downloading it, just go to the blender and go to Edit and Preferences. In the add on section, you have to just simply go to install an add on Select where you have downloaded it. I downloaded it in my download section and just simply install add on After installing it, you have to just make sure that you have tick mark this box After tick mark this box. Just simply refresh it. Just close this menu. This little box will pop up where you can find a bunch of three D models, Materials, brushes, and so many things. In this particular section, you can find all the three models, variety of three D models. In this section, you can find bunch of materials. In this section, you can find the bunch of sceneries. In this section, you can find variety of DRI's. In this section, you can find some couple of brush, different brushes in this blender kit. Add on, so many bunch of things are locked, which means you have to pay for that version. But we are going to use a three D phone model which is free. First press to select all and then press X and depict all the objects. First, I'm going to import the model in the blender kit. Just simply type here, Samson S 21. Now I'm selecting this model, just simply click on it. Your model is now imported. 3. Setting up some lights and adding constraints to it: Now select the model. Press R X 90 to rotate it towards the 90 degree in the X dimension. Now press numbered one to go into the front view and number seven to go into the top view. These are the two short cut for front view and top view. Just go to the top view by pressing numbered seven. Now I'm going to add two area lights. Just press shift and add area light. Now scale it according to the body, scaling it a little bit like this. Just press X to scale it in the x direction like this. Now light it pointed towards the downward direction. Just simply go to this rotate tool and just rotate it like this. Rotate towards -90 Type here, -90 If you're not properly aligned towards the 90 degree in -90 x direction, again, press Numpad seven, go to the top view. Now select Area Light. And just press to grab it and place it over here like this. Rotate it in this direction by pressing like this and just press to grab it like this. Now what I'm going to do is again, go to top, somewhere over here like this. Now what I'm going to do is I'm duplicating this light. First we are going to set some power to this light. I'm going to set power 200 milliwatt. Just press M. Type here capital W. Make sure you have typed small M and capital W. That's what the full form of Megawatt. And just simply press Enter. Now what I'm going to do is duplicate this light again, Press Shift D, and press X to grab it in the X direction like this. Now I'm going to rotate it. Just select this right light, press N and go to this item. I have rotated this light in about -24.288 degree, just slight and just cancel out. This negative value is negative value, it will be perfectly aligned. Again, press and X to grab it over here like this. Yeah, it is perfectly now aligned. So now I'm going to add some constraints to the light. So now I'm going to do is just select this right light and go to this constraints section. Now I'm going to add the copy location constraint and set the target to another light, which is area 001. Now you have to just select this inward to X and select this offset value. What basically location constraint will do. That it forces its owner to have the same location as its target. By ticking mark this offset button, It adds original location into the copy location. Just go to the front view and just adjust this by grabbing it in the X direction like this. By pressing Numptree, go to this side view and again adjust it. Select by pressing Y, grab it towards the Y direction like this. And make sure these lights are perfectly aligned. In simple language, what copy location constraint will do if you select targeted light over here? If you change its location by grabbing it, by pressing another light where we have applied, the copy location constraint will move in the opposite direction. So this will be very helpful for our animation. See you in the next episode. 4. Setting up camera and keyframes for animation: In this video lesson, I'm going to teach you how to set up camera and keyframe for our animation. First, I'm going to select this right side area light. Just place it in this direction by placing G. And place it over here. Like this. Yeah, like this. Now to set up the camera, we have to add a camera. Press shift A and select camera to add the camera. Now to perfectly align the camera with the Viewp display, just press control out and numbered zero and press Y to grab it in the y direction. Like this. If you hold down Shift button, the movement will be a little bit slower. And press G, X to perfectly align it. Yeah, Again, press Y, and again press said X, X. For the better composition, just go to the camera data properties and just change this value of passport out to one. You can see the area which is going to be under the camera only for the better composition. Just enable the center. And third, you can perfectly see, perfectly align the three D model with respect to camera. So just adjust it accordingly. I'm adjusting it direction, so I think now it is perfectly aligned. Yeah. Yeah, now it is perfectly aligned by pressing Numpad zero. Get out from the camera view. I'm going to add an animation of the slide by setting up some key frame. First to see the results of the animation, I'm going to vertical split. Just move your cursor over here like this until and unless you see these two arrows. Just right click and select vertical split and place it over here like this. Now pressing numbered zero in this step, go to the rendered view. Before going to the rendered view, just change the world setting and change the color to zero to completely plaque and change the strength value to zero. Now if you go to the render settings, your light will appear like this. To give the animation to the light. First of all in the timeline, you have to set the frame 200 and start frame to one. I'm giving an animation of total hundred frames. At first frame, I want the light to disappear. Completely select this left light and grab it in this direction until and unless you see complete darkness in this tab. Just select, select the area light. And just zoom it in until, unless you see complete darkness over the object. Press G. Sad. Yeah, the object is not seeing, it is completely dark. At first key frame, I'm grabbing it a little bit more towards the sad direction. Yeah, just add a key frame on the left by selecting left side of the light and press and select location to insert key frame. Now just go to the last frame which is 100 frame. Select the left light and press and move it upwards like this until and unless you see completely dark in this left tab like this. And again, press and select this location to add key frame. Our animation will appear like this. I want my animation to move at constant speed. This is first appearing somehow slow, and at the last it is moving fast. To solve this problem, just press A to select all in the timeline. Press again A and press and select Interpolation to linear. By selecting linear option or animation will move at a constant speed. You can see the now you can join this area by pressing right click and select join areas like this. See you in the next episode. 5. Render and output settings: In this video lesson, I'm going to show you what will be the best render setting and output settings for our animation. Just go to the render setting and make sure you have cycles selected. Now send samples to 300 and view put sample to 50. Make sure you have GPU compute selected. If you have not GPU in your particular PC or laptop, you can simply select CPU. But I will prefer you to select GPU compute. Now in the output setting, make sure your frame rates are 30 frame per second. Make sure that your start frame is one and end frame is 100. Now for the specific output, you have to select a specific folder where your animation output will be seved. Just simply go to this folder. I'm creating a new folder over here which I'm going to name it as animation. Simply select the folder and accept. Now in the file format section, make sure you have selected FFmpeg video in the encoding container. Make sure you have selected Mpeg four. And at last, in the render setting, in the color management setting, just in the look section, select high contrast for the better results. Before rendering the animation, just simply see your animation in this view display. Now just layout to before rendering the animation, you are in the layout to you and just simply click here, Red render animation. It will take some time to render. Here is my final result. I hope you all like this class. So please take a moment to share your thoughts in the comment below about your experience so far. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. See you in the next class.
