About This Class

The whole of the French language can be broken down into several different structures. If you take any sentence from any French book or any utterance, you will see that it fits into one of these structures.

I remember one weekend, I was writing some lessons for the week ahead, when I suddenly realised this. I noticed that there are a certain number of structures in French, and that every sentence follows one of these structures. I spent the rest of the weekend working out all the structures, and I wrote them all down.

Every structure you learn gives you the ability to say a huge amount. Some structures are used more than others, but all the structures together make up the whole French language. Once you’ve learnt how a structure works, all you have to do is insert different words into the slots and you have a sentence.

This course introduces you to structure 7. I’ve limited each course to one structure so as not to overburden you. By looking at just one structure at a time, you can really get to grips with it and understand its usage. It will help to clarify the French language and make it more like a reflex rather than something you have to think about as is it were a maths equation.

Each structure can also help to propel you to fluency; if you can manipulate the structures at high speed, you can start to say anything you want without having to thing about how to say it.

This course contains plenty of practice opportunities for you to revise what you’ve learnt and it also contains some hints and tips on how best to learn and memorise the structures and the vocabulary that goes with them. You’ll learn how to make questions out of structure 7, how to make statements and how to turn positive statements negative.

The Building Structures in French series is set out using the same learning techniques as the 3 Minute French courses. You can work through the course in three minute chunks, enabling anybody to learn French, no matter how little time you have.

PROGRESS TO THE NEXT COURSE

Once you have finished this course, you can continue onto the next course where you’ll learn all about structure 2 in French. Here are the links for all the Building Structures courses currently available on SkillShare:

1. Introduction to the course: Module AND Avenue. Hello and welcome to building structures in French, structure seven. I'm Karen and I'm a language tutor based in the UK. And I wrote this series of courses to help you learn to speak French. The whole of the French language is made up of a number of structures. And I remember one weekend I was writing some lessons for the week ahead. And I suddenly realized this. I noticed that there are a certain number of structures in French, and that every single sentence follows one of these structures. I spent the rest of the weekend working out all of the structures and I wrote them all down. Once you know what all the structures are, you can begin to learn them. And every structure you learn gives you the ability to say a huge amount in French. Certain structures are used more than others. But all the structures together make up the entire French language. Once you've learned the structure, or you have to do is insert different words into the slots and you have a sentence. Learning these structures can help to propel you to fluency. Because if you can manipulate the structures at high-speed, it means you can say anything you want without having to think about how to say it. In this course, we're going to learn all about structure seven. If you've already learned structures one to six using the building structures in French series, then you'll recognize the method used in this course to remember to limit your study time to chunks of just 3 min. Because if you keep your study sessions short, three amazing things will happen. Firstly, you'll maintain enthusiasm. Secondly, you'll be more consistent in your studying and consistency is the key to success. And thirdly, you'll find that you remember things much more easily. So let's begin and learn structure seven in French. 2. 1a - structure 7 outline: Structure seven uses the conditional tends to form questions and statements. It consists of just two parts, and here is an example of it in use. Missouri. Missouri evil. It means, what would you eat? Good. Mangione evil is made up of a question word, in this case, meaning what? Then the inverted conditional verb, Missouri evil, meaning would you eat? The first part of structure seven, as always, is simply a question word. Now we've seen the question where it's many times now so you shouldn't know them all. How do you say in French where? What? Good? At what time? I Keller. When? How? Gamow. Which kid? Why? Bookworm. How much or how many? Combi and how long or how much time can be undertone. Who or whom. Key. So we can change the first part without having to touch the second part. If we have the question that we've already seen, Kurt, Missouri evil, which means what would you eat? We can change the word curve, which means what? Two? E.g. and we'd get all Mangione a Wu, Wei wu, which means where would you eat? So what would you eat? Module level, where would you eat? Or we could change it to calm. Which means when we'd have majority rule. Just like with the other structures, you can change the question word without changing any of the rest of the question. The majority a viewport didn't alter just because you changed the question right at the start. So good Missouri. Missouri, a Woo Commerce variable, mean, what would you eat? Where would you eat when you eat? 3. 2a - recapping question words and verbs: As I said, there are two parts to structure seven, the question word and the inverted conditional tense. So the question words are where, what, at what time? I Keller, when? Cone, how common which killed? Why? Both Gua, how much or how many? Colombia. How long, or how much time can be undertone and who or whom. Key. The second part is the inverted conditional tense. But what is the conditional tense? Well, if you remember back to structure six, we learned all about the infinitive carriers in the conditional tense. The conditional tense in English is basically the word wood. In French, it's a little bit different. We have to add some letters to the end of the verb to form the conditional. But in structure six, we had infinitive carriers like these. You vote, you vote array. Which means I would like ba, ba, ba, ba, boo. Could you define till? Should they? The endings of those verbs, the AIS on the end of June or the eye is on the end of PCA or the AIA and T on the end of div, right? Are the endings for the conditional tense. Let me give you a few examples of some ordinary verbs that aren't infinitive carriers in the conditional tense and include their meaning. So you can see what this tends to look like and what it means. You pass the array, you pal, array, I would speak. You shan't array is you're shown the way. I would think. Jack Jack Ray, I would write your monitor a German GRA. I would eat Japan. Japan theory. I would leave. So you might have noticed that all of those verbs end in the letters HIS. And that's because in the conditional tense, when you conjugate them for you or I, the verb will always end in the letters a through J. Create your Monterey is your party array. So you could almost think of the AIS on the end of the verb as the equivalent to the word wood in English. So English is a separate word, but in French, it's an ending. 4. 2b - the conditional: When we learned structure six, we saw these endings. Ais, AIS, HIT, HIT, HIT, ins, i, e, e, and t. These are the conditional tense endings. In fact, you might recognize them not only from structures six, but also from some other structures that we've been learning. I must, because all of these endings are actually the same as the endings for the imperfect tense. To. The only difference between the imperfect tense and the conditional tense is that for the conditional tense, you add these endings to the end of the whole verb. So they'll always be a letter r on the end of the verb before you add the ending. That are sound will help you to hear the difference between the imperfect tense and the conditional tense. E.g. Japan lay. Japan. A means I were speaking. That's the imperfect tense. Parallel ray is your pallor re, means I would speak the conditional tense, Japan, Japan array. So you can hear the r sound in front of the AIS in the conditional tense. And that tells you that it means would serve as your palette. I would speak is your ballet. I was speaking. Let's have a look at the verb Pali conjugated into the conditional tense. So badly means to speak. Japan. Japan array means I would speak to a two-by-two array means you would speak it pylori. Pylori. He would speak. Valerie. She would speak on pylori. On panel a. One would speak new polonium, new palette. We would speak wu pylori. Pylori. You would speak. And it pylori if Bellare, they would speak. So the endings for the conditional tense, or AIS. Ais for two. Ait, for ill, AIT for L, AIT for iOS, for new AI is that for woo and AIE and T four. And you can put those endings onto the end of any verb. And so you'll always have the letter R in front of them. 5. 2c - attendre: We've just seen the endings for the conditional tense in French. For Zhu, you add AIS onto the end of the infinitive. For two, you add AIS and you have to add AIT. For new. You add ins. For vu, you add e, z. And for ill in the plural, you add ai, e, and t. And you can put those endings onto any verb in French. But there is just one thing that you should look out for. If the verb ends in r, e, you have to remove the E before you can add the endings. Let's have a look with the verb autonomy. Autonomy means to wait. In the conditional, we get jet Andre, jet Andre, which means I would wait. So you can see that we've had to remove the E before we add the AIS. To add Andre. To add Andre means you would wait in the informal electron ray. Electron ray. He would wait. Don't re add-on Rey. She would wait on that. Andre on at Andre. One would wait. No, that's only on new that we would wait. Was that Andre that onCreate? You would wait in the formal. And is that Andre? Is that Andre? They would wait. Now the conditional tendency is a nice tense in that there aren't too many irregular verbs. However, there are nine that I recommend you learn. So let's go through those now. You'll notice that they all still end in the same endings. It's just with the irregular verbs. You have to change it slightly before you can add the ending. E.g. the verb, fair. Fair means to do or to make the conditional stem. That means the lessons that you can add the endings to is f fill. So we would get, just feel, hey, Jeff filet, which means I would do or I would make to fill a toothache. You would do or you would make you feel, hey, hey, he would do, or he would make Alpha, hey, hey, she would do or she would make unfair overlay. One would do, or one would make new, new phenomenon. We would do, or we wouldn't make Fourier. Fourier. You would do, or you would make. If the hey, hey, they would do or they wouldn't make. So you'll notice that the stem is the same throughout its F, E, R. And then all you have to do is add the normal conditional endings to that. 6. 2d - venir: The next irregular verb in the conditional tense is veneer. Veneer, which means to comb. The conditional stem is the end, which is spelled V, E, and the R. And then you can add the conditional endings to that. So I would come is your v and u, v. And the way you would come is to be Andre to VM play EV Andrei. Andrei means he would come LLVM ray L, the anti means come on beyond ray. On the Andrei means one would come new. New Leon. Leon means we would come movie and a movie Andrea is, you would come and LVN by the Andrei. They would come. Then the verb, meaning to see is another irregular in the conditional. The conditional stem is v0, and it's pronounced there. So we get Zhu very, very. I would see two valley to valley. You would see Ray. Ray, he would see L. Means she would see on vary on the array. Means. One would see new variants, new variable. We would see very, very, you would see. And it very ill very. They would see. The next irregular is SHA. Sha means to try. And the conditional stem is spelled ESS, a, ER. So really the only thing that changes about this is the y becomes an I. So if we conjugate it, we get just say array. Just say Hey, meaning I would try to SLA, SLA, you would try SLA LSA array. He would try SHA SHA. She would try SHA, SHA. One more try. New SAS. Knew that we would try. Sha, say array. You would try. And SRA is SRA. They would try. 7. 2e - payer: We've just seen that the verb SHA, which means to try, change the y to an i before we added the conditional endings. Well, this next irregular verb, Peggy. Peggy, which means to pay, also changes the y to an i. So the conditional stem is PAI ER. We can add the conditional endings to that. So we get, you pay, you pay. I would pay to pay a to b array. You would pay it. They re it pay. He would pay LP Ray. Ray. She would pay on Bay. On PRA. One would pay new pair, young, new paleo. We would pay woo, woo pay rate. You would pay. And it barely, they would pay. Over e. Over e means to send. The conditional stem is spelled E N V E R. And it's pronounced on where. In the conditional tense we get Zhang Zai Zhong, very, meaning I would send to overlay to unfair way. You would send Elon very Elon where? He would send L L on VRA. She would send on very ANOVA. One would send new ovarian Luzon variance. We would send on very, very. You would send and is on VRA, is on vary. They would send. Then the next verb is very irregular. Ali means to go. And the conditional stem for LA is spelled IRR, E. So you get g, g, j. I would go to ERA. Era. You would go, he would go L, LRA. She would go on the array. And the array. One would go new zillion. Zillion. We would go there, yay, yay. You would go. And Ilya array is array. They would go. 8. 2f - avoir: The next irregular verb in the conditional tense is Gua. Gua, which means to have. In the conditional. The stem is a, you are pronounced. So when we add the conditional endings, we get Joe, hey, Joe, hey, meaning I would have to obey. You would have a Illinois he would have a low, high or way. She would have on Oh, hey, on your way. One would have new or young newsreel. We would have. You would have e. J is Oh, hey, they would have. Then the final irregular verb we're going to look at is eta. Eta, which means to be. Again, this is another very irregular one. The conditional stem is S. So in the conditional tense we get is just too high. Which means I would be two. So hey, to say you would be is is the way he would be as she would be on survey. Also. One would be no sodium. No sodium. We would be Wooster. You would be. If a is sorry. They would be. So that's nine irregular verbs in the conditional tense. Or you need to do really is to remember the conditional stem. And then when you know the stem, you can add the conditional endings to the end of that. Fair means to do or to make. The conditional stem is FAR, and it's pronounced Fu. Veneer means to come. And the conditional stem is V and V, E, N D, Y. Y means to see. And the conditional stem is there. Ver. When you have an EAR, stem is pronounced like foo. But when you have an E, R is pronounced f there. So your Philly was, I would do, is you vary. I would see SAE means to try. The conditional stem is the same. It's just the letter Y gets changed to an eye. The same goes with Peggy. Peggy means to pay and to form a conditional stem, or you have to do is change the letter y to an eye on y j. And y j means to send. And the conditional stem is on their EN VIII or LA. La means to go. And the conditional stem is very irregular. It's just the letters I, R, E. Gua. Gua means to have the conditional stem is a. You are. Then eta. Eta means to be. The conditional stem is Sue. 9. 2g - practice questions: If you look at all the conditional tense verbs, you'll notice that there are two words, e.g. pastoral. Pastoral means you would spend, you've got Wu, which is the subject pronoun, and then pass the array is the verb. Well, if you want to form a question with these, all you have to do is invert them, which means to switch the two words around and then join them together with a hyphen. So we'll pass our EA means you would spend, pass through a basket of evil. Means would you spend? So how would you say in French, where would you eat? Who? Monterey to or Missouri? A Wu. What would he order? Quick Amanda? Which cake would they try to get to? Essay? How would you pay? Common pay, right, to come on pen? What would they do? Feel like? I could feel her. Whom would you see? Key to? Key, very evil. Where would we go? Why would she hire a car? But quite low? And I tell you in what you do and I tell you in what you when would they go out? Consulting? Gone soft DIT what would she try? 10. 3a - extra information: Just like with the other structures, we can add an optional extra part to the end of structure seven. The extra information can be things like nouns, adjectives, time, Woods, et cetera. We can add them to the end of this structure, e.g. good, A2 of xa. Xa. What would you do with that? Aqua blue, right, to invite you to read what you why would you hire a car? Array to overcomes A2 and vacuums? Where would you go on holiday? Let's have a look at some example, extra information words that we can use to add more excitement to our structure. Seven sentences. La. La means they're shave or ****. We're means at home or literary at yours. Or TBI means at work. I let her Angie means abroad. I looked at the hotel. Belly up battery can mean to Paris or in Paris. On forums. On firms. Can mean to France or in France, or has to harm or restaurant. At the restaurant or to the restaurant. Loop. Within a loop, play the chicken. Lumo to whoosh. Whoosh. The red coat. Mba. Mba means a ticket. But Pierre. Pierre. For Pierre, EC, C means here. Icons on the course means on holiday. So how would you say in French, what would you do with my car? I do. I make my Y2 or filthy evil at my watch you. What would you buy for Pierre? Cache to write to the cache? So the verb means to buy this Webb ought to have really gone into irregular verb list. And I was going to put it in, but it isn't irregular enough because all happens rarely is it gets an accent on the E in the middle. So you get an accent graph on the E in the middle of ash, which makes it pronounced as shed the array and the array. Cache. Cache to a viewport Pierre. 11. 3b - practice sentences: How would you say in French, where would he eat in Paris? Who? Mozilla till about? Modularity, about. So apathy can mean in Paris, but it can also mean to Paris. You use the word when you want to say in or two. And you're talking about a town or a city. If you're talking about a country, you use the word on EN instead. So if you wanted to say in France, instead of in Paris, you will say on foams. Up belly can mean in Paris or to Paris. And on forms can mean in France, and it can also mean to France. So when you're talking about a country, you use, when you're talking about a town or a city, you use? How would you say where would she go on holiday? On barcodes. On vacuums. So on vegans means on holiday. If you want to say the holidays, you say late icons. So how would you say in French, would you spend the holidays abroad? Pass a right to live a constant electrons. Pasta, to labor costs, electrons or passerine. A Wu, liver cancer. Let Jose pass array, labor constant, liturgy. How would you say, what would they do here? I totally see the sea. 12. 4a - taking off the question word: You can manipulate structure seven in many different ways. E.g. you can take certain bits out to make different types of questions. You don't always have to stick a question word at the start, e.g. let's see what happens when you don't add the question word. How would you say in French? Would you eat? Module2? Module. Would they eat the pizza? Module, I love pizza. Majority like pizza. Would you pay the bill? Pay a high two ladies. Ladies don't. Would he buy some cheese for me? I shake their head. Tld format, which bomber? I should tell you how much per month. So you don't forget to add that extra graph accent on the E in a **** there. A. How would you say would she go to Paris? Appellee? Yes, I tell a valley. So when you invert with the conditional tense for the heat and the sheath forms, you'll notice that there is already the letter T on the end of the verb. And that's because the ending is AIT. That means you don't have to add that extra T that we saw when we spoke about the past tense and the present tense. When we said things like Has he? Well he has is Isla. And if we said has here we would have our yield. So we have to add the t in the middle at t. But with the conditional tense, you don't need to worry about that because the T is already there. Appellee. How would you say would he ordered some water for the table? Hello, pull a tabular. Good Mondo Della Tablo. 13. 4b - forming a question: The conditional tense is made up of two words, the subject pronoun and the verb. E.g. Wu, module, a woman jury a means you would eat and it's made up of Wu, which is the pronoun meaning you. And module. A. Module is the verb, meaning would eat. As we've seen, you can turn this into a question pretty easily. Well, you have to do is swap the two words around. Then you have to join them together with a hyphen. So modularly a means you would eat Missouri. Missouri. A Wu means Would you eat. As I mentioned earlier, you can do this with the heat and the sheath forms as well without having to add an extra t in the middle. And that's because the ending is AIT anyway. So Jamal. However, you can also use it in a non question. Let's quickly start this lesson with a quick recap of the structure in the question form. Structures in the question format consists of just two parts. E.g. good module. Module Hebrew means what would you eat. It's made up of the question word, meaning what. And then an inverted conditional verb. In this case, Missouri gave him, Would you eat? Of course, you could also add the optional third part, the extra information, and get a sentence such as good majority, who are histone? Good, marginally a boo or histone. What would you eat at the restaurant? To use this structure when you're not asking your question is quite simple. You just take the question where it off and flip the inverted conditional tense verb around. Let me show you what I mean. Let's compare a question and a non question in the structure seven format. So firstly, a question, majority. Majority. Where would they eat? In Monterey, ISI in Monterey is C. They would eat here. So you can see that the phrase modularity means would they eat? And if you flip the modularity around, you get moonsArray, which means they would eat. Some other examples are either way. Either way, they would drink it. Ballet, ballet of FPL. They will speak with Pierre eBay array like this theorem. This theorem. They would pay the bill. So how would you say in French, she would buy something here for Pierre. Shows you see pop Pierre. Pierre. They would buy some wine. Is actually iterate. Yvonne. Yvonne. I would see Marie. You valet MAOI. You very much. 28. 6b - using this structure with other structures: We've done a few example sentences where the conditional tense, but you might have noticed that they don't quite sound right by themselves. We've had these three sentences. Could show the CBO Pierre, Pierre. She would buy something here for Pierre. Is actually iterate Yvonne. Yvonne. They would buy some wine. You valet Murray, you very much. I would see Marie. They sound like they need something else after them. She would buy something for Pierre if or they would buy some wine boot. Or I would see Marie, if. The conditional tense is a great tend to use with the present tense that we learned in structure to its also used a lot with the present perfect tense that we learned in structure for, or the imperfect tense that we learned in structure five. You can add structure to aka, the present tense or structure for aka, the present perfect tense after a conditional tense simply by using the word meat, which means boot. E.g. and I shall show the sea. Poppaea may show these people. Pierre may end up paddle shown that she would buy something here for Pierre, but she doesn't have any money with her. So the verb is in the conditional, and then L Napa, she doesn't have, is the present tense which is structured to. Another example is acetaldehyde, UVA, MAY is on Deja, Toby may is on digital view. They would buy some wine, but they've already drunk too much. So that sentence uses a shared array, which is the conditional. And then each zone deja told you is the present perfect tense or structure for each Zhan Bu means they have drunk, so they would buy some wine, but they've already drunk too much. Human, Hey, Marie may enter tab IPCC or should we, you very much, I eat, may try bypass the CEO. Should be. I would see Murray, but she isn't working here today. So again, Gervais is the conditional tense. And then l know carbidopa. She isn't working, is the present tense or structure too. So you can use structure seven with structured to or structure for the present tense or the present perfect tense, just by adding the word May and you get something would happen, but something else happened or something else is happening. 29. 6c - using this structure with other structures: You can use structure seven with structure five verbs or the imperfect tense by adding the word c, which means if e.g. you see Poppaea, c plus c plus Delta zone. That means she would buy something here for Pierre if she had more money. So we've got the conditional. And then the imperfect. In Ave, she had. Another example is a shudder in pizza. Silver boolean logic LCA shows is asserted in pizza. Silver lame mosaic echo shows. They will buy a pizza if they wanted to eat something. Again is a shutter, is the conditional tense. And then see if they wanted. The C and E will join together to become S apostrophe, ILS, seal, seal, Boolean logic echo shows if they wanted to eat something. You very muddy C or C or should we you very much see ultraviolet ECOG? I would see Marie If she was working here today. So again, we have the conditional is you're very, I would see. And then the imperfect tense, air travel again. She was working as you very much. I would see Marie cl have IJ ECOG, if she was working here today. So how would you say in French? I would bring some wine with me, but I am working on till 05:00 P.M. so I don't have time to go to the shop. Jackpot already given IVIG more major issue, sky detector, don't you need Peloton daddy or my exam? Jeopardized UVA, I make one major trav I just get this at the junction, a Peloton delay on my exam. You have the question words in the column on the left, the inverted conditional tense in the column in the middle. And then some extra information. Whereas in the column on the right, what you should do is get a blank piece of paper and write this outline out for yourself so that you can try and make your own sentences using structure seven. Say the sentences out loud over and over until you get your tongue around how this structure works. Repeat the same sentence again and again. E.g. modularly a Wu demand, which means where would you eat tomorrow? We'll modularly a voodoo man who majority vote among. Say it again and again. And once you're speaking, try and replace one of the words. So instead of saying imagery a good amount, you could say good majority vote among good module, a good man, good majority, a good amount of good Y tilde. Y tilde among common dilate to demand, change one part of this time. And say this says over and over out loud. This will help you to get fluent in this structure. 43. 8a - turning questions negative: There's one more useful thing that you can do to this structure quite easily. And that's make it negative. You can change the structure from positive to negative in English simply by changing the word wood to wouldn't e.g. why would you do that? Becomes why wouldn't you do that? Would he stay here? Can become wouldn't he stay here? Would they eat this? Wouldn't they eat this? In English? It's simply a matter of changing the word wood to Wouldn't in French, or you have to do is take a conditional tense verb phrase, put in front of it and after it. E.g. pallor A2. A2 means, Would you speak new palette or a two-part Nepantla? A two-part means, wouldn't you speak? So if modular A2, A2 means, Would you eat? How would you say, wouldn't you eat? No modulate cheaper pneumonia? A2 bar y tilde. Y tilde means would he drink? How would you say wouldn't eat drink? Nib y tilde? Y tilde. Commentary. Commentary Bu means would you order? How would you say, wouldn't you order Newcomb model a Bupa commander, Hooper, party? Party. It means would they leave? So how would you say wouldn't they leave? No pattern, right, heel path, new pattern. I tilt. The android tale. The entertained means, would she come? How would you say in French, wouldn't she come? New V bar. V bar. And then pay or paleo means would we pay. So how would you make this negative and say, wouldn't repay Newbury on new power, new pair, they all new path. In French, or you have to do is put the word in front of the conditional phrase and path after it, and it becomes negative. 44. 8b - two meanings of "would": In English, there's a weird thing about the word wood. Sometimes you might see things like this. He would go to Paris every year. We would visit my grandmother all the time. He wouldn't do it yesterday. They wouldn't help me last week. All of these sentences are talking about the past, but they're using the word wood as though they were in the conditional. In French, you wouldn't use the conditional tends to translate these four sentences. If you're using the word wood in English to talk about something that used to happen in the past, you have to use the imperfect tense in French, e.g. if you want to say he would go to Paris every year, what that really means is he used to go to Paris every year. In French, you would say ELA, shack and Italy about shack and a, we would visit my grandmother all the time. Well, really this means we used to visit my grandmother all the time. So in French, you would say, why young my Gmail to return new Vireo magazine mapped to Tom. So literally in French you would say we used to see my grandmother all the time. Another example, he wouldn't do it yesterday. In English. You can also use the word wouldn't to talk about something that somebody wasn't willing to do. In French, you can't use the conditional tense to say this. In French, they say that they didn't want to instead, and you use the imperfect tense of voir. E.g. if you want to say, he wouldn't do it yesterday. Well, what you would literally say in French is he didn't want to do it yesterday in the Valais palate, fair? Yeah. In a Boolean value, fair? Yeah. They wouldn't help me last week. Well, in French, you would literally say they didn't want to help me last week in ovulate back Monday. Last Monday? Yeah. Even if you will, a paramedic last man, Dan. Yeah. So how would you say in French, why wouldn't you try the wine yesterday? But newly to pass this over here, bookworm, the Vulli a Bupa is a yellow van. Yeah. So literally you're saying Why didn't you want to try the wine yesterday? How would you say wouldn't you help me if I asked numerator i2 passes you the Monday. No matter who pass, teach you the Monday. So in this sentence you can use the conditional attendance because it's not talking about the past tense. 45. 8c - negative questions: How would you say in French, wouldn't he make a reservation last week? New volatile buffer has a vast homeless man, Dann. Muss man, Dann, yeah. So literally you want to say, Didn't he wanted to make a reservation last week? How would you say in French? Wouldn't he make a reservation for us? Nefarious nuclei til noon? So this one isn't the conditional tense. It means, wouldn't he make a reservation for us? If we asked e.g. how would you say wouldn't they buy something for Marie nash at the ideal package shows pulmonary. Now shatter ideal package to source format. This one is in the conditional, but in English, this sentence could also be in the past tense. If you want to say something like, wouldn't they buy something for Marie yesterday when they were in France? In French, you would have to say, Didn't they want to buy something in the volatile passage, they can go shoes. So you have to think, is this sentence talking about the past or not? And if it's talking about the past, you have to use the imperfect tense. If it's talking about something that isn't in the past, then you can use the conditional tense. How would you say in French, why wouldn't she help? Neither hotel bar book what I did, but why wouldn't she helped yesterday? Bulk what? Tell by pass ADEA. Book one, the volatile pack a day. Yeah. So this sentence is in the past. So you can say in French, why didn't she want to help yesterday? But the other sentence that we used and we said, why wouldn't she help? And it wasn't in the past. We can say, why would she not be willing to help? So it's quite a tricky thing to think about in English before you translate into French is the sentence talking about the past or not. But I wouldn't worry too much about it because this is only a very small part of the word word in English. It's usually very clear as to whether you're talking about the past or not. So if in doubt, just use the conditional tense. 46. 8d - turning non-questions negative: How would you say in French, wouldn't make them with you? Knew the Andhra till path of extra movie Andhra till Pacific. Who wouldn't he go to Paris with us. Nyae. Nyae toolpath, aperiodic noon. Wouldn't you visit Moscow, a new visitor, a two-part Massey visit telling a Bupa Massey. You can also turn the non question negative ten to negative. You just put the word no directly in front of the verb and the word path after it. E.g. you finish a. Euphonia a means I would finish unit finial hyper shouldn't be any height, that means I wouldn't finish. So if your mojo GMOs array means I would eat, How would you say I wouldn't eat? Normal Jaipur? To filet. To filet means you would do. So. How would you say you wouldn't do? Tune the fetal head to head bar? Means he would go. How would you say in French he wouldn't go? In the Ripper in the red bar. She would speak is a pallor pallor array. So how would you say she wouldn't speak? Pyloric bar, l bar. New asset Dorian, news or shatter Young means we would buy how would you say we wouldn't buy nona shattering on par new battery pack. The FAA means you would leave How would you say you wouldn't leave? Wound or bacteria? The bacteria paper is of the array is sorted array means they would go out. How would you say they wouldn't go out? In the software? Hyper. Hyper. And then ASALA is they say re means they would try. So how would you say they wouldn't try? Cra per se, right path. 47. 8e - negative sentences: How would you say in French? I wouldn't do that if I were. You unify a Passat CJD to our June for a Passat CGT rule. Or at A-plus, you infer a pasta about chloroplasts, you shouldn't feel a pastor. He wouldn't eat the chocolate. In the module. In the module, Apalachicola. They wouldn't spend too much money toward her husband. She wouldn't call Pierre Napoleonic pap. Pap, yeah. She wouldn't call PA yesterday. And fully pass upper lip. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So literally that one means she didn't want to call Pierre yesterday. How would you say you wouldn't leave? Even if I asked. Do you know about the ray path means seizure due Monday. Vulnerable men seizure due Monday. I wouldn't hire it. I would buy it at a bar because, you know, Lulu AICPA, Julesz, it that way. We wouldn't go to France. New near your own pattern forms.
