1. Introduction and Class project: I guess, welcome back to the symbol pose
on after effects. In this class, we'll be
learning how to create a symbol title effect that
you can use in your wheels, videos, or anything else. For the class
project, you can use the same techniques and
effects used in this class, or you can use your own
techniques and effects. And don't forget to share your projects in the project
at the social media.
2. Creating a composition : Hi, guys. Welcome back. In this lesson, let's start up by setting up a
new composition. So in order to create
a new composition, KRI have a 2025 version
of After effects. You just go to composition
and select new composition. First, we'll have to
give a composition name, so I will give it as x intro. And then in the preset menu, we can select
either one we want. So this time we'll just
keep it as 1920 into 1080, or it will be a full
HD composition. And the frameate everything
will keep it as it is. And for the duration, I have selected 10 seconds, and you can just select
a 10 seconds as well or how much you want
your text intro to be. We actually you can reduce
it to maybe 5 seconds. I'll keep it as 5 seconds
and you can just press Okay. So once you press Okay, the
composition will be created.
3. Creating text: In this lesson, we
will learn how to add a simple text layer
and start customizing it. So in order to create
a simple text layer, we can just go to
rules option at the top and you can just
select the type tote. And you can just click on the composition and you can type in whatever
text you want. For our lesson, I'll
just type Welcome. And once you type in the text, the next thing is at,
like, left corner. And if you want to like you
want it to be resetted, what you have to do is
you can just select go to the tool menu again
and you can just select this pan behind
tool at the top. And you can just move the
center of the composition to at the sender of our text. So once you have done that, everything will happen from the center if you scale it
or move it or rotate it, whatever you do to the text, will happen from
only the sender. Otherwise, it will happen from the corner and you
don't want that. Like if you are particularly one that happens
from the corner, otherwise, you can just
move it to sender. And when you type in a text, you can select any
phone you want. The only thing is make
sure that it is readable, as well as, you know, it matches your style,
whatever you're looking for. For our simple text
layer animation, I'll just select a roboto, as our text layer, and
I'll just make it bold. So it'll be a little bit
handout our text animation.
4. Adding basic animation: In this lesson, we are
going to learn how to add a basic
animation to our text. So we are actually
keeping it really simple and only adding position kale and transparency or opacity animation
to our text. So in order to add the
position property, the first thing is we have
to make sure actually at the zero second mark in our
timeline and next year, select our text layer and press P on the keyboard
for the position property. Once you selected P, the position property
will be visible, and you can just press on this stopwatch icon beside the position property
to add a keyframe, and you can just move the
text outside of a frame. So in the beginning, it
will not be visible. And after that, you
can just move to a two second or
three second mark, and you can just bring
it back into a screen. And while you are moving, if you want to keep
a straight line, just press shift on
the keyboard and you'll be able to
keep a straight line, I can just place the text
on the center of first M. So now if you
just scroll around, you can see what's happening, what kind of animation
we just added. The next thing is we have
to add a scale as well. So again, we'll go back
to zero second mark, and this time we'll select
while selecting the layer, we'll just press E on
the keyboard for scale, and again, we'll add a keyframe. And this time for
the scale value in the beginning,
we'll keep it zero. So nothing is visible
at the beginning. Then again, we'll move
to 2 seconds mark, and this time the scale to 100%. So it's actually zooming
in from the bottom, you can see a symbol
animation like this. And again, we are going
to zero second mark. This time we are actually going to add an
opacity animation. So for the opacity animation, we'll just press E on the
keyboard for opacity, otherwise known as transparency. And you can just select, again, the stop patch to
add an animation and we'll make the
opacity to be zero. So in the beginning, it
will not be visible. Then we'll go to two second mark and we'll add the
opacity to be 100%. And now, if you
actually play it, you can see, it's
actually zooming in. The opacity is actually
increasing 0-100%, and along with that
position is also happening. The only thing is, like,
now we are actually having that animation in a constant rate, meaning,
like, beginning, also end everything, the
speed is really constant, and we are not actually feeling
good about the animation. So in order to make
it a bit more eye catchy or making it a little
bit more interesting, you can just select the layer and press
U on the keyboard. So all the keyframes
will be visible. And you can just drag and
select all the Keyframe. And while you are on top
of the keyframe, like, place the sor on top of the Kframe and you
can just select right click and go to Keyframe assist and you
can just select ECs. So in this lesson, we are
just going to add an EC is. We are not going to
look much more into cows animation or eing animation
or anything like that, but just adding it so that our animation looks
a little bit better. In the upcoming lessons will be going more into animation, and there we'll be learning
more about E and how to edit, how to create a custom ese based on whatever needs we have. So this time we are
just simply adding it. And if you play it afterwards, you can see compared to before the animation is actually
looking much better. Now that animation is completed, we can just move
on to next lesson.
5. Adding simple effects : In this lesson, we
are actually going to make the text
look a little bit more interesting by adding a little bit glow or any
kind of layer effects, so that it'll have a
little bit more flayor and you can always experiment with adding more and more
effects onto the layer. So I'm just going to
introduce you to one of the option where you can add a simple glow to our text layer, and you can see how
much change it's actually bringing
into our animation or our overall look
of the animation. So in order to add
the glow effect, you can just select the
layer and go to effects. And from effects, you
can go to stylize. In the stylize option, you can see a lot of options
will be there. You can actually experiment
with any of these options, and based on
whatever you select, it'll be having an interesting
look to your text. So this time, we are actually
going only with the glow. So we'll just select the glow. And once you click on Glow, right away, you can see
something happened to our text. And in the Effects
Control panel, you will be able to see
the effects at at glow, and you can see load
of options here. And you can just
experiment with editing all these values and you can see whatever changes it's actually bringing into our animation. The main thing is glow threshold will keep it at 60 itself. And the glow radius, we can just slightly increase, or the glow will be a
little bit more pronounced. And glow intensity also for the time being and just
keeping it at one only. And composite to
original means where you want the text to
the glow to be added. You can always add it
on top of the layer, or glow will be visible on top of your text layer and
you can add it behind. Or it will be behind
there as well. So next thing is, you can
just select glow colors. So there you can have a
few different options, original colors
in the sense like whatever text color you
have based on that, glow will be generated. If it's in white, the glow
will be in white or if it's in a different color based on that, the color
will be changed. Then you have the second
option A and B colors. And if you select
A and B colors, you have a different
option A and B, midpoint. Here you can define
what colors you want to be as the globe. So you can just elect a
color for the color A, and you can select a color
for the color, B as well. So based on whatever colors
you're selecting here, the glow will be generated
between these colors and it'll have the impact
on the glow as well. You can just adjust
the glow radius and glow intensity if you want. Now we can go back to blow intensity and make it maybe two. So the blow will be
much more pronounced and then continue adding more
and more effects onto it. You can experiment with
all the other effects and all these things and you will be able to create
something interesting. So with that, we just added a little bit different
to our static text. We added an animation and
a little bit glow as well. Oh, it looks much better
than our previous symbol, like, without any
effects animation. So see you guys in
the next lesson.
6. Rendering final out : So the next thing
is we just have to preview and make sure
everything is correct. And then everything if you
feel everything is right, you can just go ahead
and render it out. So if you press space
on the keyboard, you can just preview
the animation. And once you're happy with animation speed and
everything like that, then the next thing is taking
it as an output video. So we can just go in order to render it
as an output video, we can just go to file. Then go to Export and
you can select render Q. Once you select a render Q, it'll be added to render Q and you'll get a few
different options. As the best settings here, you can just keep everything
to its default only. And if you want to have a
smaller version of the video, you can just in the resolution,
you can just select. Instead of full, you can
just select half a third or quarter and based on
whatever you're selecting, the resolution of the
video will be reduced. For the time being, we'll
just keep it as it is. The next thing is output mode. In the output mode, we can just select which
format we want. Default, it will be MP
four will be selected, and we have ukTime
as well as video. And then we have image seconds and audio options and
things like that. So for the time being, we'll
just stick with MP four itself and we'll keep
everything else as it is. And for the text output, we can just click on
it and we can just select a particular output we want and we'll just keep it. And we can just once everything
is perfectly mentioned, we can just end that and the
video will be rendered out. And after entering it, you can just click on this drop down menu at
the output more. So you'll be able to select the location of the output,
and you can just play it. Now, you can see
our animation is actually playing quite well. So I hope you guys learn to add a simple text
animation in after effects. So we actually went with
really simple lessons, and we stick with only the bare minimum and simple
basic things here. So in the upcoming lessons, we are actually going to go into more advanced animation
and things like that. So I hope you guys learn
something new here, and I will see you in the upcoming lessons.
Thank you for watching.
