1. Introduction: Hi, I'm Jake. This class will teach you how
to create write on auto fill effect in Adobe After Effects
without using any plugins. You don't need any experience working with Adobe
After effects. You can even download the pre trial version to learn this effect and it
will work fine. I'll explain each step we will take to create this animation. It will work with
your text or logo. You can always write
your questions in discussion sections under any of my classes to get help from me while creating
cool effects. I think it's the
best way to learn the software while creating
interesting effects for fun. And to complete this class, our goal is to create
this cool right on out of effect and adobe after effects
using Oly built in tools. I'll be happy to
see in my class as also your result after
following all the steps. So let's get started.
2. Basic Animation: So I'm using Ato
Biot effects 2024, but you can pretty much use any version of Ato
Bioter effects. It will work fine.
So first of all, let's create new composition. You need to click
on this big button, and let's call it main come and let's make it 1920 by 1080. I'm going to uncheck this box, 1080, 30 frames per second. And for this animation thing, something like 10
seconds would be more than enough.
Let's click Okay. First of all, we need
to create our text. Let's go to this
horizontal type tool, leftmost link in it, and just leftmost like here in this window and hold and drag
to create this text box. Here we can type
wherever we want. In my case, I'm going
to type M Jake. We cannot see this because
I need to select it all. I'm going to press Control A to select all and change
to white color, so I would be able to see. Case, I don't really want
to use this kind of font. I want something more fun. So I downloaded this
font from Google. You can just find it. It's called Mastardo. So I'm going to make sure
that I don't use all caps, and maybe I'm going to spread these letters because if I'm not going to
spread these letters, then this animation will see
this is one whole shape MJ. My case, I just want that each separate letter would
appear on screen separately. For this, you just
need to select the letters and spread with the striking so they wouldn't touch each other.
We have our text. We can even make it bigger, so it would be easy to see. And with this align panel, you can just make sure that you align vertically and
align horizontally. If you cannot see
some of the panels, which you can see on my screen, you can always go to Window
and enable it from here, for example, align panel
and character panel. Okay. So we have our text
and we can just select it. Now we can go to
layer, precompose. And let's call it
text placeholder. Basically, in this placeholder, you can drop your logo and it will work as well
and click Okay. So we will use this as a composition because now we
can apply some effects to it and always can go inside and then type whatever
other text you want, and it will work just as fine. So I'm going to go back
to main composition, and I'm going to close
this text placeholder. Let's quickly take a
look how this effect is made and from which
parts it contains. So even this part, which you can see here
at the beginning, it already contains a
few important things. So first of all,
you're going to see that if I'm going to
solo on the background, and I'm going to solo, the first part is just these
steps, as you can see. Then I've added longer tips and other colors than even longer one and without three D effect, just like a trail on
top of this wall. And finally, we will work
on how to fill in all of these gaps between
the letters with this glossy effect
and fill in color. And we also will be able to use original color of the text in the final part of this class. So let's create
those little tips, which we will extend and
create a larger trails. So to create those tips, I've used a bunch of effects, which we can find here an
Effects and Presets panel. Once again, if you cannot
see this panel here, you can just go to Window and enable it from here
Effects and Presets. First effect, which I want
to apply is fill effect. Here under generate, select this fill effect and drop
on our text placeholder. It allows us to do is to
change it to white color, and basically it will work just as perfectly with
any color of the text. So this is why we want to set a neutral color like a white color because
as you could see, we will apply new
colors to the tip, then to longer tail, and then longer one. So it's a good
idea to start with one color and color it in
any color which you like. It would be easier to control. So next effect which I want
to apply is Vegas effect. It's really powerful effect. Let's drop it here. And to see it better, it's a good idea to change
this land mode to transparent, and you already can
see how it works. What is cool about this
effect that you can animate the rotation effect
and you'll get really interesting kind
of effect already. So I'm going to set this to zero because I don't want to have
this kind of animation. Instead, I want to change
the amount of segments. As you can see now, each of these letters are considered
as a separate shape. Even this little line here
also has 32 segments. This is not exactly what I want. Instead, I want to
reduce it to zero. So basically, it would be a lot more consistent
because now we don't get this kind of smaller
kind of segments and bigger segments and
medium size segments. So I'm going to set to one,
and now as you can see, we have just one
segment which creates the shape and now if I'm
going to change this value, you can see that
it already gives this really fun and
interesting effect. So I'm going to press
Control Z to do this. And next thing which we can
do is to change this length. Basically with this
length, we can control these steps which I
showed you earlier. So my idea here is to change this length to zero
at the beginning, but I want to adjust this and opacity and set to really
high value like one. And also, let's
change this color to white and click Okay. Let's create a
bunch of keyframes, so it will animate
this end opacity. Let's click on the stopwatch, but make sure that your time cursor exactly here at the
beginning is 0 seconds. Then just create a stopwatch
on end opacity and we will animate length as well about at 5 seconds
and maybe 15 frames, something like this, we can select our layer and press U to see the keyframes which we just created by clicking
on this stopwatch. Here I want to change
swap these values. Basically, I want to set
this length to 100%, so it will create this
kind of animation. And opacity, I'm
going to go to 0%. So basically, we will get
this kind of drawing effect, and it will fade by the
end here as you can see. So what is key frames? Keyframes is basically
points in time, which remembers the value
of certain property. So in our case, this keyframe
remember that I've set this value to one of property length in
this moment in time. And also, we've created a keyframe here by
clicking on Stopwatch, and it remembers this value of zero of property
length at zero time. And now it goes from this zero
to this one through time. So basically, this
is how animation works inside of after effects. It just remembers values and goes between them
just like this. What we can do, we can select these keyframes and press
F nine on keyboard, which allows us to make this animation go fast
at the beginning. Slower towards the end, which gives you a much
smoother animation. Also, I can go to Graph Editor, pick clicking on this
icon and make sure that you see the same graph as I've seen here by left
mouse clicking on this icon and go to
Edit speed graph. So now if I'm going to
select these keyframes, I can even move it like this or like this to speed up or
slow down the animation. So if I'm going to
move to the left, you're going to see
that it starts really fast and then really
slow by the end. In my case, something
like it was. So basically, if I'm
going to select both of these keyframes and just
left not lick and drag, I'm going to press F nine to get the animation
which I already had. Let's go out from
this graph editor, and maybe let's do
a bunch of changes. So for now, I want
this text animation to appear not just from the top but from different
points of our text. It's really easy to do just
with one checkbox right here. So let's enable
this random phase. And as you can see now it generates this text
from different places. But for example, you don't
like that it started here. You can just simply
click here on random seed and change
to whichever you like. This looks pretty fun. So I'm going to set my
random seed to two. But on your animation
or your word or logo, it may work other value better. So just see for
yourself what you like best I make these I think
this looks pretty cool. So I just want to tweak a
bunch of values here as well. With I can make a lot smaller, like one because we will increase it with a
bunch of other effects. Then start opacity, I
want to reduce to zero, and let's take a look here. As you can see, we're
getting more fading a bit faster just because we've reduced the start
opacity to zero. So now fading starts
a lot faster. Also we can tweak this
midpoint opacity. So if I'm going to jack to left, just to minus one,
you're going to see that we are getting
only these tips, which is exactly what we want
because as you remember, we want to have this effect created from small
parts of trails. So now it looks pretty good, but what I want to do is
to make them thicker. Let's go to effects and
presets and type here minimax. Select it jag and
drop on our layer. Let's change this from color
mode to Alpha in color. And this will allow us to grow these lines and change in
this value, and it grows. It's already pretty interesting
effects on its own, and maybe in the
future tutorials, we're going to experiment with this one as well to play
around with this more. So let's change it
for now to eight, so it would be a bit
smaller we don't want to have these squares because
it would not look liquid. So to fix this, we can simply
add a gaussian blur effect. So I'm going to type Gaussian or Gaussian and just drop
it here under minimax. I'm going to set
this value to 20, so we would have
these blurred blobs less effect which I want to add to this t of
effects is curse effect. Mostly and drop it
under Garza and Blur. And let's change to Alpha
and Drake just like here. So something in between these
two lines should work fine. So we would get this nice
and thick animation. So now we can zoom out and
we already get in somewhere. The only thing
which I want to do is to have a nice cutted edge, so we will see the lines of our text a lot better
because as you can see, here is not blurred,
and in our case, it's a bit blurred and
would not look that great. This is also a pretty easy fix. We can just select
our text layer and press Control
D to duplicate. Now let's select all
of these effects and select first one, then press Control A to select all of them and
press the lead to the lead. So as you can see
now our effect is getting inside of the
outlines and outside. And I want to cut it off so
to see only inside part. It's really easy to do. You can just go to Check Mt. If you are using older
version of Idiot effects, you just need to change
this to Alpha Mt. Meno case, we can click
here under CheckMat. If you cannot see
this track Mat, you just need to click here on Toggle Switches and modes
until you'll see it. Then left most lick and
rag to this top one layer, which doesn't have any effects. Now as you can see
we are getting really smooth and nice
edge of the text itself, and this effect works
only on the side, which looks really cool. And this is basically the
first part of this effect. This will be our highlights. The next video, I'm
going to show you how to make them a bit longer so we could combine them to create final effect. See you
in the next video.
3. More Trails: So now we have these lines,
which looks pretty cool, and let's precompose them, so we would have
them as one layer. So I'm going to
select both of them and go to layer precompose. And we can call it
highlight tips and go. Now we need to create a
longer version of these tips, and it's pretty easy
to do because we already made skeleton
of this effect, and now we can just
twick a bunch of settings and create a
more longer version. So what we need to do is to go to this project panel and see this highlight tips and press C Shoal D to
duplicate this composition. We duplicate in compositions
here in Project panel, it creates a new stance, and it will not affect this
one which we created here. And if you would duplicate here, it will source the same
inside components. So for example, if I'm
going to open any of them, it will show us these
text place holders. But if we will open here, which we duplicated here, we can even change some
settings, for example, like this, going to see that it will not change in
this composition. So you can see this
left as it was, this is basically the separate
copy which we can twig. So this is exactly what we
want because this second one, we can call it
maybe longer tips. So to rename it, we
can just write mostly here and go to
conversation settings, or you can just simply go to this project panel
and select this one, which is exactly the same, and press Enter and rename it. So let's call it longer tips. So as you can see
we've renamed it, and I'm going to hide this
layer because I don't need to see let's tweak some settings
to this bottom layer. Let's go to effects
and controls. And now on this one, we want to tweak only these two values. So, for example, if we
will increase this value, we already can make this longer. So I'm going to set to -0.33
and the midpoint position, I'm going to change to really small to extend it a
bit this point as well. So you can basically
change it to zero. The only thing which
I want to change as well is to select it
and press on keyboard. And here, let's
change it to 0.03. It does is basically also extends this tip
a little further. And this time, let's not
use this minimax effect, and let's just select it and
press delete to delete it. And instead, let's just
increase this width to 15. In some cases, you can
use Minimax effect, and in some cases, you
can change the width. So it's up to you which kind of choice you would want to use. Okay, so we created
this longer version, and let's also create
even longer one. So once again, we can
go to Project panel and select the longer tips and
press Control D to duplicate. More time. And let's rename it, select it, and let's
press Enter to rename it. Let's just call it maybe final
tips or just simply trail. Okay, so we have this
trail composition, let's left most
double click on it. And once again, we will need to change the settings
in effet controls. So here, I'm going to set
this midpoint to zero, so we would get a
lot longer trails, and midpoint, we can set to one. So now we have this even
thicker and longer trail. The only thing which I
would want to change is the way it will disappear
because for now, it's really smooth fading. And if I'm going to select this layer and press
your own keyboard, I just want to tack this maybe like around 3 seconds
and seven frames, set my keyframe here. So we would have this really
thick and nice trail. And from this moment, I want
this to start disappearing. So maybe make it a bit faster, just about 5 seconds
and disappear. We would have these
thicker lines a bit longer because this would be like wet spots of
our writing on animation. Okay, so now we've
created all of these parts which would use. We can just close them
in this one as well, and we will just add them here one by one in our
main composition. All of these assets. We can even create
a folder and call it assets and drop
it these tips, tips and trail right here. And the next video,
we are going to combine all of them to create our first look where
we are going to draw our outlines. See
you in the next video?
4. Edge Animation: So it's a good idea to save our project because
we already did a lot. And in case after
effects will crash, we will have something
to get back on. So you can just
simply go to File, saves and save whatever
you want on your computer. Okay, so now I'm going to delete this copy because
I don't need it. Let's go to assets and drop
here longer tips and trail. So now we have all of them, and let's create
some background so we could see our result better. So for this, we can just
go to layer new solid, and let's call it
BG for background. And we can change to any
color which you like, because it really
doesn't matter. So maybe let's leave it as
white and check it here below. Instead, we are going to use a ramp effect here under
effects and presets. Let's type here, ramp, select it, and drop
it on our layer. Let's just move this
bottom part a bit lower, maybe to something like 2000. So I don't want to
use linear wipe. I think radio ramp looks nicer, and we can just click on the swap colors to
swap these colors. And now you can just
basically change the colors. You can just left mostly on this color and just see
what you like best. In my case, I've used
something orangish, and if you will
paste these numbers, you'll get exactly
the same color which I've these three
numbers and click Okay. Same thing you can do
with this second color, I'm going to paste my own
color which I've used, and you can just repeat
these numbers 71 and 100 and you'll get the
same kind of gradient. And then I wanted to
have a bit of texture, so I added fractal noise effect. So an effects and presets
type fractal and find here under noise grain fractal noise and drop it under grainier amp. So here I've changed this to dynamic because it looks nicer for and I will bring in down
this brightness to -50. The complexity, I'm going to set to smaller value like three, and here in transform, I'm going to set the
scale to three as well. So we would have
this kind of grain. And also, I want to change
this mode to screen so it will overlay on
top of our background. So now we already
have our background it would be much
nicer to work with. So let's make a few twigs to
each of these compositions. So we would have more like
a liquid drawing effect. So let's start with
this first one, and these we will hide. So just click on these
eyeballs to hide them. So you can see only
this first one. Let's go to effects and
presets and type here fill, and here under generate, drop it this once again, it's up to you, you can
use any color sh you like. In my case, I've used this kind of yellowish mustard
kind of color. So basically, it's 100, 145 and click Okay, and you can pretty much use
any other color and just make sure it would look as
you like on your computer. So to add a thickness to it, I need just to right
mouse click on it and go to layer styles and
bevels and Ambos. So as you can see, it already gives us this kind of thickness. And if I'm going to open here, can change the size
to something like 22. And as you can see,
we already getting much bigger shadows
and highlight. To see the highlight data, we just need to go
to this angle and set it to 105 and altitude, we can set it to 70. So now we are getting
only the highlights, which is exactly what we want, and we can even decrease the opacity of the
shadow to zero, so we would get
only the highlight. So this will be the
highlight of our text, and it already looks pretty fun. Now we can lose this here
and work on the longer tips. So let's enable it. And let's also apply
this fill effect, drop it on it and left mostly
on this color to change it. In my case, 100, 100, 38, and click Okay. So once again, I want to add
a bit of thickness to it. So I'm going to go write
mostly on this layer, layer styles, Bible and Ambas. And once again, let's open here and change the size to ten. And play around pretty
much with these values and see maybe you'll come up with
something more interesting. But for now, I'm going to use the values which I preferred. I've set the angle to
140, altitude to 70. And once again, opacity, I've dropped to zero. So now we are getting this
kind of secondary light, which makes it even more
interesting because we have this thick
light on the stop part, and on this main one, we have also this highlight. Here is where we
want to introduce not only the light,
but also the shadow. We don't really need the
shadow on this only this part. It's a good idea to apply the
shadow to this longer one. So once we are on
these longer tips, we can also write
most li in it and go to layer styles, drop shadow. So let's close this one and
let's open drop shadow. So here we can change it
to a literal value like 33% of opacity and let's also
increase the size to 11. So basically, it will
blow out even more. So it would be more subtle. Angle, I like to rotate
it to 90 degrees, which basically means these
shadows go from up to down. So light source is on top, which corresponds to our
light of the background. And once again, you can always pick these values and
see what you like best. Just don't be afraid, and you can always press Control Z to revert to the
values which you like. Okay, so now we have added this more kind of
three look we can add a bit more variation
just by selecting the longer tips and pressing
Control D to duplicate. So with this second
one, we can even move it a bit further,
just like this. So what it does is you can see it extends these
shadows even more. And let's change the color
so we could see better. So this one, I'm going
to say this to 20. 168. So now as you can
see, we are getting this really dark one, which will work
for us as a blend to the darkest
parts of our image. But for now, it's way too dark, so we can just select
it and press T, and set this opacity to 40. And if I'm going to
enable and disable, you're going to see
that we creating this really nice transition into darkest parts of
our three D effect. Looks pretty cool. I'm going to upset this layer to nine frames. We don't really need this kind
of lighting on this layer, so we can just open it and
open this layer styles. And let's delete this bible and ambos and also let's delete
the drop shadow effect. So now we really getting this transition to
more darker parts, as you can see it
looks really good, and you can always play
around where you want it to start and blend it
even more nicely like this. If you would want in my case, I would want to separate
them a bit more. Now let's work on this trail. Let's enable it. The longer one. This will be our wet kind of
line behind all of our text. So it's a good idea to
have a feel effect on it. Let's drop it, and also let's make it darker,
something like this. In my case, it's 27, 81 and 55. Okay. But it doesn't really
blend with our background. So this is why we need
to use this mode. If you cannot see the mode, you can just click here
Ontogles and switches, and let's change
this to overlay. As you can see, now it blends with our
background a lot better. And you can always tweak
these colors and play around and see which color
you would like more. I would really like if it would look like it interacts
with our texture, and it's pretty easy
trick which we can do. We can just simply
go to effects and presets and type here
turbulence display. And here under Distort, select this turbulence display
and drop it here on trail. Here we can just simply
change this size to three and just take a look at these edges and see
what's going to happen. As you can see, we are getting
these really uneven edges. It makes it look like this
texture has some depth to it and our brush strokes are
getting in these kind of edges. And play around with this value, you can set it to two to make it even more kind of crispier, and you can even
increase the size if you would want to increase
this kind of effect. So it would look like the ink spilled over on these edges. So it's also pretty fun
effect which you can do. So you can just play around with these values and
see what you like. Okay, so now we have pretty
much the core of this effect. But for now, we don't really see the final result because
it disappears completely. So next video, we are going to work on the creation
of the inside part. So this would be
our starting point. Then it will fill itself with the liquid and our final text will appear. See you
in the next video.
5. Highlight Animation: Okay, so let's add
this filling effect, which will cover all
of our text or logo. So we can just go to
Project panel and select our text placeholder
and drop on this little icon, which will nest itself
into a composition. Basically we precompose,
just like this. As you can see it created
text placeholder too, but we can select it and
press Enter to rename it, and let's call it
all fail effect. Let's also drop it
in here and acts so we will stay
organized and solids, we can also drop it here. So this effect is even
easier to create. Basically, what we
need to do is to find simple choker effect and drop it on this
text placeholder. And here at the beginning, we can set it to zero and create a keyframe that may be at 1
second, maybe three frames. Let's create a maximum value, which basically is 100%. Let's select it and
press Yon keyboard. As you can see, we've
created these keyframes. And it created this
kind of animation, but now you can see that we have a problem where it
doesn't fully disappear. So let's fix it, and it's
even easier thing to do. You just need to select it and press Control
D to duplicate. And the second one we can open here and move it to this moment, these keyframes and basically, it will also go 0-100%. In our case, we
don't really need to go all the way to 100%. We just want to make sure that
our text fully disappears. But wait a minute, we don't
want this to disappear. This will appear. So let's select both
of these keyframes and let's write mostly in it and
just time reverse keyframes. So now we have this kind
of animation of operation. And let's make sure that
this animation will end at about 4 seconds
and maybe 20 frames. So let's extend. Let's go to graph editor and make
this kind of graph. So it will go maybe
this one like here. So it will go like this and then slowly appears by the end. And we can extend
it as we like to make sure that it looks
exactly as we want. So let's make sure
that I'm reducing this first value to see where
it starts to fill our text. And you can play around
with these keyframes to see what you like the most. Okay, so now let's go
to main composition, and let's go to project and
find this all fill effect, which we just created
and drop it below. Then let's just close it. And once again, we can just
write mostly in it and go to Layer Styles,
Babel, and Abs. Let's open it, and let's
tweak a bunch of settings, and maybe let's even animate it. So for example, we can start with the values like
ten, then here, let's set it to 140 as we
used before altitude 70. As also we've used before
and highlight opacity. Let's live at 75. And shadow opacity is always
we can set it to zero. So now if I'm going to set this layer mode to
screen, just like this. And let's also go to effects
and presets and type here, fill and drop it on this layer, we need to make dark, like black and click okay. And now this screen effect
works as it needed. Now as you can see, we are
getting only these highlights, which is exactly what we want. But what we also want, we
want it to start a lot later. So let's move it here. Now, and then we
will see where we want to have this kind
of animation appear, which is already appears
and it blends nicely. So in my case, it's 1
second and 20 frames. But now as you can
see, we are getting this really nice and
interesting kind of animation, but it doesn't
really have shadows, and this is why it
looks a bit weird. So if you're going
to go to effects and presets and type
here drop shadow effect, you might see that if
you're going to apply it, it will not work because this screen effect
overwrites it. But instead, we can just
write mostly on it and go to layer styles and
use drop shadow here. You can see it ignores
this screen mode, and now we can just go to Drop Shadow and just
tick some settings here. So for example, we can reduce
this opacity to 44 angle, we can set it to 90, so it will shine light
from the top and size, which basically makes
it more blurrier. Let's set it to nine. Here
is a good idea not to use a black color but
something from the background. So basically, I'm going to take this color picker and take this color from
the background. As you can see, we
already getting this really soft and
nice looking shadow. You can just simply select this color and
maybe make it a bit darker if you would want
a more visible shadow. But in my case, I think I
like it even better this way, where it's not really screams at you and it looks pretty nice. Final thing which
I want to add to this effect before
we are going to fill our text and logo
or logo is that I want these highlights
to move around a bit. So, for example, at 3 seconds
and maybe like ten frames, let's go to our Bible ambas and create a little animation. So I want to create
animation for size, also for angle and altitude, as well as highlight opacity. So a bit later, want to
reduce the size to five, so it would be crispier,
just like this. Then I want to change the
angle to make it almost 90, but maybe let's set
it to like 105, so it will go to the top. So we'd have little this
kind of light animation which goes from side to the
top, which looks pretty cool. And maybe altitude, I'm
going to set to like 67 to make it even tidier, look and highlight opacity, I want to increase it, so it would be more visible. So let's set it to 100%. What we can do, we can
just select all of these keyframes which we just
created and press F nine. Basically, it will be a lot
more smoother animation. And to see it more easily, you can just select this layer of all fill
effect and press U, to see only these keyframes, and let's move these
keyframes a bit further just like this
and extend it a bit. So we'd have this kind of animation of these
highlights a bit later. So now it looks pretty cool. Okay, so we've finished
this part of the effect, and next video, we are going to fill our effect and
see how it looks. See you next video.
6. Fill Animation: So we already it this
filling kind of animation. And once again, we
can just reuse it. We can just select it and
press Control C to capia and then go to this main composition and press Ctrol V to paste. So it's much easier to reuse it than create it from
scratch once again. And just let's set it below, and let's make sure
to tweak this timing. Before we are going
to tweak the timing, we can change a
bunch of settings. So basically, let's start with the fill color. So
let's type fill. Here, drop it on this text
place solder, and this time, I'm going to use
this kind of color 178169 to get this
kind of darkish one. And here I just want to
use another type of mode, which called vivid light, which also blends with our background, but
as you can see, the overlay is a
bit less saturated and this vivid light is
a lot more saturated, which they look, which I like, but you can play around with these modes and see
what you like the best. So now we can just simply tweak the time see how it will appear. As you can see
now, it looks like it almost the same timing, and if we will offset it a bit, it will appear a bit later, which can provide this more
interesting kind of effect. Like it fills in, like we
have only these highlights, and then it fills
in with the color. And basically, you
can just even play with these keyframes,
I'm going to use. Select this keyframe, hold control on keyboard
and left most lick, which makes it a
simple keyframe. And this way, I can tweak the timing so it would
work a bit different. So as you can see if I just select these both
keyframes and pressF nine, I'm going to get this kind of a bit different animation
of this feeling color, so it will offset it a bit more, and this way we are adding
a bit of variation. Okay, so now we are getting
this really nice effect, as you can see, and let's say that you would want
to use not the text. So let's go to our
text placeholder. And instead of text, you
would want to use your logo. So let's say that you
have this kind of logo and you would
like it to appear. By the way, this logo will be also in resource
step to this class, which you can download
and use it as well. So just drag it drop, import it, just go to
File, Import File, and choose your logo,
which is available to download and just hide this text by clicking
on this eyeball. So now, as you can
see, it doesn't really recognize the original color
of our logo. So let's fix. Fix this, we just need to select it this text placeholder
and press Control D, let's maybe move
it a bit further. So these colors appear original colors will
appear a bit later, and let's change this to normal, and let's go to Effts and
Controls and select this one, fill, and press
Delete to delete. As you can see it will
appear a bit later. And this way we are getting
these original colors, and you can even make it appear even later,
just like this, if you would like,
and you can just disable this background
if you don't want these background
colors which we created before these ones. So you can basically
disable any of the layers and see what
works best on your logo. In my case, I just want to go
to TextplaceHolder and add some curs effect
to make it a bit brighter and maybe add
a bit of contrast, and now it looks a bit more fun. Finally, let's add a
bit of camera movement, so it would look even
more interesting. Let's go to layer, new
camera, and let's click Okay. So this basic camera should
work fine. Click Okay. It gives us warning that we don't have any three D layers. So basically, you
can just simply select all of them and click
here on Toggle Switches until you'll see the
ability to change this to three D layer and let's
set them all to three. The best way to animate or control the camera is
to have a null object. So let's go to layer
new Null Object. I like to call it mover, so I'm going to press
Enter and call it Mover. Also make a three D and
connect with this parent link, not to be confused
with this track mat. You need to use
this parent link, connect this camera
to this null object. And what it allows us to do. Now we can just
simply press R on keyboard and change the
rotation just like this. And the camera itself, we can press P to change the position. So the position we
are going to use as a Zoom and rotation
is a rotation. In this setup, it's much more easier to make the camera rotate around the subject
because if you would use the rotation
of the camera itself, you're going to see that
it will rotate the camera. This is a lot harder
to use than to use this method when you are connecting your camera
to your null object. Let's create a little animation. Here at the beginning, I'm
going to rotate this to 45 degrees on X
axis and on Y axis, let's set it to five. Let's create two keyframes to
X rotation and Y rotation, and let's also change
this position, and let's set it to -1,000,
which is pretty close. Then closer to 2 seconds, like here, we can rotate
the camera just a bit. Let's set this to 53 to get this kind of rotation
and also this one to 32. Basically, it will orbit
around this logo animation, which should look pretty cool, which is exactly what I
showed you in the PV. Also, let's add a bit
of zoom out animation. So let's it this one -1,300. So if I'm going to change this work area to this moment
and press zero numpED, you can see this little rotating and zooming
out animation. And also, we could
see that here it just simply appeared on
screen from nowhere. So let's fix this. Let's
go to all fill effect. And here at the
beginning, let's make sure that this simple
choker is set to 100% and also press T on keyboard and make this little
animation of operation. So it will start opacity
at zero then fade in. And the same thing
we would want to do here because as we
change to three D layer, it worked a bit different. So let's also press on keyboard to see our keyframes
here on this one. Let's let most double click
on it and change it to 100%. And also, let's
press T on keyboard and create this
animation of operation. So it will go from 0% of opacity to 100%
and press F nine. Copy these keyframes
and apply it here as well on this and press
Control V to apply it. Also press U, and make
sure that this keyframe also not starts from
15, but at 100%. So now we fixed all
of these issues, and now let's preview one more
time our orbit animation. Okay, so now it works
a lot smoother. Final thing which we can see that here we don't
see our background, and this is also easy fix. Just go to the background and
here an effective presets type motion tile and drop it before the grandie ramp and extend output width just a
bit to fill on the screen, something like 300
should work fine. So we fix this issue, and let's also create
the second camera. So we would have this
kind of camera close up, and then the second camera, which will be the main ultra. So if we will select both
of these keyframes and hold old Skey on keyboard and
close square bracket, it will cut to this moment. And let's quickly
create a new camera, layer new camera, click K, and make sure that
it will start later. And here we can create
super simple animation. Just press P for position. It will be the final shot, and here at the beginning, we can just zoom in a bit, and here we can use even the rotation of
the camera itself. So let's hold Shift and
press R to see the rotation. Let's create keyframe for Z. Move it over and
let's make a bit of rotation maybe
like minus seven. So it will continue
this rotation. It goes more like this, so we will continue this kind
of rotation here as well. Let's select these keyframes, go to Graph Editor and
drag it down like this. Let's select one by one. It would work a lot better. So this is already
on this floor, and let's select
this one and also let's set it to the
floor, just like this. So in this way, we will get
this kind of animation, and we can set this to the
left and here as well. And this way, it will start slowly and then this kind
of animation by the end. So let's go out from Gap Editor and let's make this work
area just like 6 seconds. And one more thing, which I've noticed
that when we jump from one camera to second
camera, just about here, so previous frame
and next frame, we can see that this light
is more like in the center, and here is more
like to the right. Now, it looks like this way. What we can do, we can
just simply select this background
layer and just move our light more to the
right, something like this. So let's create a
keyframe in this part, and then in next part,
let's set it to 960. So let's just move around
a bit until you'll see that it's visually
not distracting. So now it looks a
lot more similar. And let's press zero nappet
to see how it looks. So now we get in this really
nice and pretty cool effect. And you can always track
around the camera animation or any other kind of
animation just by placing these layers
in different timing. Sure to share your
project. By the way, I have this really short
class under 12 minutes, which you get really
powerful result. And what I want to ask you
is to submit your project. It's really cool and I really appreciate when you share
