1. Introduction: Welcome guts. My name is Paul and Sheila. Am it's really lost. Crito, it is cos, I'm gonna be sharing with you how I create an abstract illustration in Cinema 4D. I'm gonna be showing you some important teams and how to make your 3D illustration. That it is important to have knowledge about cinema 4D because this tutorial is still lead to an intermediate and a provisional user of Cinema 4D. By the end of this tutorial, not only will you be able to do exactly what I agreed that in this tutorial, you able also to know some importante now to leverage the tools it's in my pony and getting your desired result. Everything use in this tutorial, I is from Cinema 4D. So I can wait to get started. See you in the class. 2. Abstract shapes process: Welcome. In this episode, I want to show you how to create these abstract shapes and using tools in Cinema 4D. I'm going to be showing the process. And I'm going to create one or two of these shapes. And you can go ahead and create your own. And also attached to these cause is the project files of the server abstract shapes that I've already completed. So we can make good use of dam or you can create your own. But here's the process whereby get started about a process I wouldn't use on the cue sheets that I have created. Some of them. So as you can see, some of those ships are just basic shapes put together. So I just want to show you-all what these simple shapes is. Instead of our 40 years as simple setup, western going to be using the same setup over here, but pending, then we can use that operation in nu sigma body. So how do we get started? Simple, Ali, just have to do is just understand the kind of a ship you want to call it that in the first place, we're gonna be using a milliliter bottle muda are going to be remeshing it. It totally just a simple shape does the process. So to get started, I'm going to create one of these. So this use the spline. The spline. So I'm going to drop these into unlocked modifier, then duplicate dinner when duplicate another one and put it in between over here. So I'm going to drag it a little bit down. So do you guys see when a more regional see that it controls to rest? So I'm going to drag it to the, to, to decide. I always kill, it's done in into n B2C. I increase the swan. On strike five. I can't use to increase this one I did too. You have to make sure that you just follow the key process. It doesn't have to be exactly like mine. If you get the process, then you go greet your home as you wish. So we can duplicate it. And the ADD swung over their friends, seek another shield or so. So smoky G, delete this first. Should I do in diesem, this mixture that it isn't as simple coordinate. Baker, I'm the one in the middle. So we hold Alt so that share the same location. So we have to do this is that we give it a little bit of subdivision because we need a lot of salt division whenever we want to work with and bottom view, the ones appear smartly. So I think I'm going to create another sheet to just this year. I can also increase the subdivision editor. So right now all we just have to do a single object and add the rest of the objects to eat. So what I meant is that I select the left. Are they cold water, the volume builder then holding holiday? I had it so dense so that I can see it a little bit more clearly. It did Jews. We have to change the boot Jack sites. So one is okie. From now. Previously we had the sphere and then we had Dequeue. So commun away or to the volume, the arrangement matters. So it's important to note the arrangement. Or if you want to subtract some mix, some key elements from the aorta. So I want to subtract shear as it goes. See. So let's make sure we add this smooth top in STM to do right now is just additive volume measure. So we select the volume builder and holding holds. We added measure. So right now we have the mesh because CO old days are these object to ease. Your laptop or your computer that you're using his thoughts on. All be higher memory or word choice that you make sure you keep the non-bias relatively new because it's important. So as you can see, she went to have to use it. Cinema 4D is a bird me, daddy saves me album long calculation time. So I can put output to EOC. I can take it a little bit down. So you can see, I think I'm hokey with these other woman. What I'm going to do right now is that I'm going to make this editable. Just my praise. See. So after I press C, You can see right now that if he stopped eligible, the nest and a half to do now is I have to come over to the section and use the regression. Because when you are working with these type of way by instead of our body is going to slow down your computer. So you have to remember it so that at least you can walk more faster. So I'm going to have to remeasure. And right now I'm just going to focus on this Z remeasure and also want to pull it out cut. So what I meant is that when you focus on the polygon count is zero degree measure. A mixture that's your adoptive parent is on is important. So that done, I'm also you can make sure that you increase the adaptiveness so that it's closer to the actual ship. So you have to give it time. I can increase the current B2. So you have to give it time to calculate. Yeah. Now we have our ship cereal. You can see now that the zebra images really opposed to digital great job. Soft light cartilage, make it editable. I think we'll go walk with these more than the previous one. So here is the process on how I go about creating odors, cost of shifts. So you can continue on, creates a lot of your own additional sheets. You can use different of the primitive shapes that are available. It also works well with spleen also does a Powerball bottom view there. So please give it a shot and I'll see you in the next episode. 3. Adding details with Adobe illustrator : Welcome guys. Didn't just sit by watersheds out to alpha. I created additional details using Adobe Illustrator. New dot. Adobe Illustrator is a vector-based software that mic credits and it auto simple, unimodal that mixed Cretan it off simple and complex sheet. Easier is NGOs are some necessary advice twos. So if you want to be using Cinema 4D to create these additional spline details, It's maybe a little bit difficult because depend on this line tools in cinema 4D is not as really advanced as that one over Illustrator. So perhaps you create any shapes that you want to import into Cinema 4D is just a simple walk through an hour to get it done. So if your users an op audio 26 over recent are more recent, Washington, you don't need to save your lower Vashem of streets. Um, people couldn't previously do. So I'll just have to do is just after you work on your files, make sure you group them by layers because it's important. Soft diet group them by layers. I can categorize these icons together, these icons together and cook their dose creating a new layer. I can call it icon. I can bring them from this particular group, a job and the icon there. So this is important. Why? Because if you don't group your, your face in Illustrator, it's kinda getting into bit messy when you import it to set off body at an odd reason why I received at more recent releases, I think I want to tidy D are the plugin. Hopefully to. So let me show you how I get it done. So after a group it and make sure I save it as standard Illustrator file. Then I open my signoff body and they just come over here to the image object. So what I did is that I look to where I saved it, a nice selected. So it's going to bring these menu in which you can customize as you want. You can leave it as default. So I'm just going to say, okay, what he's going to import it directly, even it's going to import the, let's see, the material that you didn't want to create a materials can easily create these materials, will you? Cinema 4D? But I'm going to be doing that. And let's do it again. So the 80s. So then I can come over here. There's a lot of options. I can change Lilia offset. I don't know the reason why mine is don't walk in and it's Shoot. Okay. Let's check it out. Okay. Yeah, it is working. Now you can see a face in the hierarchy or by hair. I'm able to adjust the offset so you can change this part spread likewise. So the debts, I mean the extrusion, I'm not going to be messing around with data at this moment. I'm just going to keep this one has two more, sorry, as 0.5. And I can even our pupils. So on. And I'm gonna be doing it right now is that I'm just going to make it editable by pressing C so that I can separate it. So as you can see that our layers are rightly named as it's. So we don't have layers. It will be difficult for us to identify which one is the specific or which one is not. So this is just a simple tip on how to add additional details to your work. I'll use in Illustrator. From here, you can just bring it up one composites together in your scene. So this is very important to note. So it is not the most that you have to create everything. In Cinema 4D. You can also use other applications like quiz. So thank you. Bye and see you in the next one. 4. Project setup and lighting explanation: Welcome back guys. In this episode, I want to wrap it up and discourse how I set up the lighting. And also all the same point and Michelle really goes about so I hope you learned something as we journey along. So yeah, he's my scene of they've created greeted by whom? Boston and abstract objects. As you can see that here, recent matched, most of them have at least a usable mesh model that wouldn't slow down my computer. This is very important, as I explained in the previous lesson on because when you are working with highly dense models by such that you, that you use these well-known view down Misha for It's quite stick a little memory speeds and your computer. So if you're not very careful, if you load off your computer with a lot of search and you try to unmute it. And sometimes that are afforded me crush. I'm also there can be a lot of missile. So it's best sometimes after we have used the BLM bureau to make sure you really mesh it before you take it in. It's a bit further. So as you can see, I've set up the same. So I will just discuss the project setting a little comment overhead to be pretty upsetting. And the outer foods, I use 1,400 by 1920, I just, this is just wound Kristen, I think in these low vowel, it looks so. That's all. I'm, I switch on the cover material, right? The reason why I often do this is because sometimes I don't like applying all know the materials to everything. So I will just choose a base map bacteria. It sends its easy costume worn to be applied automatically to every other materials that I don't apply any exceptional materials, and I agree about it. And I switch on the blue whale ignition, switch on the egos of pollution. I don't really need it. So I'm going over to the camera. You can see our sin to kill it. Stretch out. Clinically Conrad as well we owe. So the way I use the vocal end of 300, just like super tell him you can see it away. So I'm also says, Oh, good sense of being beat up. So that's just what I use as a setting. Personally, not yours may be totally different from mine. He doesn't have to be exactly the same. I'm just explaining how I go about my scene. So on yeah, he's the same setup. I please these bar grand critically to be the width font crust. I'm, it can be V3 background. And the shapes. I just my own thinking. I just love out, in connect everything together I would love to. So this is one of the more that I got from from one line which you also have access to, I really love it. So if I hit is dead, my uncles don't shapes, then add it. So if you will, I'm sorry, in this episode I'm not really about I really put on the ships to get out one after the ordered. The reason is because I have a lot of other tutorials that I've talked about it. So I like to just be repetition. So you really want to know are from good about my sing together. You can inject some of my previous tutorials. And I'm certainly are really, really helpful. So I just pulled everything together. Now, delight. I personally use them affording its inventory in engineer because it must be, I would feel really central DCs. I strongly believe after Cinema 4D, I'll hold on. What shifts it starts really, Mickey Hall of difference in the renderings. I mean, your standard reference. So it really also produce an amazing results compared to the previous versions. So I use standard Cinema 4D renderer. So then the light, just a simple area light. This one I set as the mean one. Just as simple as, let's see what individual light dose. So here's the IN1 that town. I said, Let's see, unless it quickly. As sometimes if you really want to test render, it is really best that you keep the resolution looser at. It can be fast or depends on the kind of computer you're using, time, you know, that's yours, Castiel, putting a lot of the Jews. Well, you can, you can try it. So I can see the middle light, it come directly from the left side, is really taking a whole lot of sin and I really love out to Nick came out cell keeps the render is without even using any taught party where Indian agent, which shift off. I love it like that. So then I create a second light to balance these other aspect that when I make it in goods of this poppy color, I just choose mine. Yours may be different than I keep the test suggests 60 city-state area light. And this one, I make sure that the shadow is area. While the second one, I don't include any shadow. I remember what I said earlier. I didn't turn on behaviors of tension. So the Image Occlusion is not being turned on. So because I really want it to just be the light shadows without all the rendering engine adding additional shadows to it. So let's see it with the second light and see to the second light. Now, as you see that a second light is really common in equals c. Now that the lighting is becoming more beautiful compared to the previous one, you can see now that the odd Oxford Honors, we come back in little r because they, this, these are the lights. Salvo's like the Hegelians light on, really bounce and really creates these creeps render. So that is pretty much what I really did with the lighting. Just a simple light setup. And I just threw in some few light oscillatory to let the top one of our hair just to light it all on the bottom one down here. So let's switch up the camera. Basic auxiliary. And a bottom like the density needs to be low. Justice or 65. This one is so here it is. This is just our end really set up the scene. I just move it differently, depends on which kind of looked at here going on, going for it. It's just important that the essence of our strategy loss friction. So keep things very simple. And you are using these sway motion graphics Apps or rendering on enough that it creates your costume. I'll beautiful abstract shapes. You can add some new product element to it like e.g. if this was intended for a shopping website, instead of me showing only custom shapes into eternal truths on models like bugs, like a shopping cart, like, um, like some other things that can really make. Or the D was really catch what is really being portrait. This is just a subtle, we'll make it people understand what you meant, but not really, really in these generic form. So just to be abstract, it has to be there just to really show the creativity that is or isn't it? So that was the point. And in the next episode, I'm gonna be explaining how I go about the the animation, the lights on, emission load is applied on, I render it out. So thank you for sticking around to now. So see you guys in the next episode. 5. Animation explanation and rendering: Welcome back guys. In this episode, I want to show you, I make this simple animation with the compensation. It is a simple animation and anybody can really make it. And I just wanted to show you the process so that if I saw you want to create similar things for you well, or mood for motion graphics. These correlations by adding CO2 to give it a shot. So as you can see how the animation will you please out and everything is rendered using Cinema 4D standard render and it is super fast. Trust me, this is super fast compared to the previous rendered any gene that really takes a lot of time. This is an or so a clean render as you can see out yet. So let's get started. Let me just show you the quick done. And EF is the sin. And all that I did was that I select the important shifts that I want to animate. This going to see a group, the ones that I want to animate, which I'll talk to you that the manometer tubes and you'll see all what it is is that I put everyone on beads together using a fracture. You can find it fractured over yet become three more graph. You can see over here fracture. So it is really opening, setup me at a meeting, everybody sheep individually. I just put them all together and I set the mood. So you also can do the same. I set a mood are straight down. That is pretty much everything that I did without. And I come over to the run down and I make sure that I had a random effector. So then after I added the random effector, I call over to the position because I, I intentionally animate the position you consider positioning kids to be zero. And also I come to the end of it. I want it to repeat itself. And sometimes it is best that when you come to the end of it, like you put it at frame 121. So that frame is not repeating, but you can't really do much knew this because the animation is really, really shut. Put it into zero again. So I kidding. So these are you set the keyframe, you just record after I select everything, all the settings, then you make sure that you recorded. Then you come over to, you come over to the middle, which is the 60. Then in Garcia, the random effects model, I just drawing in a random number. You also can do the same the paint, but I wanted it to be something as simple as the former one because I don't want it to get away from the frame. So just do something relatively simple suggests. So does our un means this first one. And you can really make a lot of awesome magic with these. If you come over mall to the dish in political life, She exam, just tell it to show you the F cough. So on you can see all the keys individually calling it. Sorry. Just come over here to just share it. So it goes. So right now you can see the F Cove. I can select both, like muscly about it. I can come over to animation. You can play around with the F cos make extended to lead to just to read. These kind of a delayed effect depends on the kind of field that you are going on. Make it start abruptly as they go down. You get the necessary easy ease out. So depends on the kind of a feeling that you are looking for. So that's how I animate the first one, then the second one, which is really unlimited in the dissent if you notice, well, let me play it again. So it is d. So This ships and they also follow the similar occipital. So, so I just dropped everyone of it into the fracture. I use the plain effector over here. So I had a deep clean vector. So I only animated d z, z axis. So what I did was that I get over to the plain effector and Nike only disease. So what I did next is that I make sure that the effect of its sale is unlimited. Linear city. Let me go straight to the camera and I see the animation path. Though. I just anemic. I make it from the beginning here so that it doesn't get on it. So from frame two to six, I started anemic need robust everything downward. So chill it down. So that's how I animated this circle one also similarly to the first one that I animate. This one is just a linear animation. Rights to the left. And on the Plus, I mean, sorry. Yeah, and the proximal thing. Oh, I did that or so so relative. Simple. I get on the feasibility of both keys. The editor, visibility, and night. I unlimited soda please. Individual could just give it a subspace. So from the beginning I make sure that this one is off. As you can see over here, the pulse is off. So when it gets to 49, I make sure that it is on. So then back again. It is off. That is how I anaemic. You got steel running mate erased. The players are now the Fernanda geography for evenly, you can emit luck with that. We can open and close. So this is just a simple single faulty rendering, an animation. And the next thing that I did, last thing that I did was that I didn't make sure that my project settings. I press conference, he come over to the attribute manager to make sure that my frame per second source 24. The reason why I did it like that, because I want it to 5 s, 5 s 12, ready? And I want to put the rest on a repeat. So on. Also, I come over to the output and make sure that everything is set to all frames. Then I save it. I make sure I save it as PNG intentionally I see, but PNG, same mixture that think through the alpha channel, our district, our files. So I make sure that the anti lesion is at best. So that is all. That is just by simple tips in our render up the scene. And also the frame rate, I make sure that it is 24. Then I render it out in Cinema 4D. But when I render it out, there is how we come out. Because I have seen with us PNG. As you can see, I consider alpha channels rendered out to concede to frame 128 is also two renamed. So the last thing that I did was that I brought this into half-day fit and I can still use the Alpha channel to change above-ground expected. So I intentionally choose to use the black one. So then I render it out. And that is what I got. I strongly believe we have length one or two things from these are my shot. I'll quick tutorial. I just really want to show the walk around and now I get the stone. Perhaps you're wanting a more detailed step-by-step tutorials in our deed. Every one of these in particular pops, you have the reference on the all caps evening, we're big gig. And it wants me to come on. I'm always open for collaboration and so forth, more knowledge. So thank you very much for taking this course. I am very, very grateful. And if you guys have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me on my social media platform and also in my heme, the CRB Keq for me. I've opened for work. Thank you very much and see you guys soon. Bye.
