1. Intro: Hello, everybody. Thank you for General, this beginner class in analog photography. Throughout this class, I'll teach you everything you need to know to shoot your first role film. Your then used the skills to shoot your first on a look for us a little bit about myself. My name's Edwin and my passion. It's gonna look photography. I started shooting film when I was six or seven years old and since then never really stopped ahead of brief period where a switch from shooting form to shoot in digital, but that soon end it. I noticed that a really laugh, shooting and look for this ended up in me collecting old cameras from the first camera, a Nikon told cameras from the sixties to the eighties things classes aimed at students, every skill level. I will explain everything as simple as possible so that everyone can understand it, and we leave out all the hot terms. No matter. If you ever had an ILO camera before, are you completely new? I want to learn a new skill. At the end of this class, you'll be able to pick up your camera and go out and shoot photos. So if you'd like to follow this class, Common joined me in the next lecture. Thank you 2. Get your first Camera: and low everybody. And welcome to the first lecture. Get your first camera. And in this lecture we will talk about different types of cameras. I will show you a couple on Also recommend you best cameras to buy. So without further ado, let's get into it. Okay. This is the first type of camera. This is a Nikon F G 20 and these are called 35 millimeter cameras or s l A single lens reflex cameras. They have detectable lenses and feet on 35 millimeter film sec here. These are widely available and very reliable. If you buy one of the big brands like Nikon or Canon also, what is really cool? Those are cheap to start with, So those will not break your bank. My recommendation is start with the 35 millimeters and you will be happy. This is the second type of camera will discuss on this is 100 and 20 millimeter medium format film camera when I show you here is a backfire is a letter. Usually these are professional cameras or seem professional cameras. Really cool. How this one open? See my recommendation though this is not for starters, it's harder to get really good photos, all of them 120 millimeter. Flynn's off more sensitive to standard results and settings, and also these have pretty expensive to get started with firms expensive cameras, expensive. So skip these. The third category are Thai cameras. These are a lot of fun. It's great if you see one along your way while you're buying one, just grab it. If it's 10 bucks, perfect, get two of them. Doesn't matter. They come a lot of former shapers this one has for individual lenses and will produce for pictures on one frame. So really cool. But those are not for more than a little fun. So what is my recommendation for you to buy on? And as I told you already, I would say Go for 35 millimeter camera. I picked three individual cameras I would say are perfect for you. So I will explain quickly what the's comes do and why you should buy them. My first recommendation is the Pentax K 1000. It's a 35 millimeter camera with detachable lenses. It has everything you need to get started. It has been built from 79 to 97 you will find a lot of great lenses forward, and it's really affordable. I like it. It's a good choice. The 2nd 1 is the canon a one. And if you're already using a cannon or a Nikon camera as a digital camera, I recommend you to just pick up the same brand that you already know. Because if you know how to use the digital, the Nikon or a digital cannon, it will be so much easier for you to pick up one of those on a low cameras. So on the Canon 81 this one is a great camera. It has been sold over one million times, so it's one of the most sold anillo cameras out there. It has been built from 76 to 84. You will find a lot of great lenses on natural reels, everything you need to get started. There's only one downside for me with canon cameras, and this is the mount. If you screw on the lens onto the body, what you will see is that cannon can only and especially the A one can only take lands up to 1990. Every lens that canon s built afterwards, will not fit on your camera. But you can buy an adapter which is not expensive. 15 euros and you can use new lenses. But I think it's worth mentioning, so you can decide if you want to take a Canon Nikon all Pentax. The third recommendation is a Nikon F M or Nikon F G. You saw one area that waas the Nikon F G 20 and these are really good reliable cameras. You will find great affordable lenses on. And this will be easy pick for you if he is already digital. Nikon. Hey, why don't you use the lenders from the digital Nikon on old Nikon? And this is because Nikon has the same lens adapter from 1959 So mid fifties, until today they didn't change it. So every land soup I from the past, you can still put on your new digital Nikon on also was around. So I'm really curious what camera you will pig. Just let me know in the comments. It will be really cool to see what people preference and I can put in somewhere recommendations on based on what you like. Oh, I hope it's easy for you to pick your first anil camera and I'm looking forward seeing you in the next lecture. Thank you 3. Lenses: Welcome to the second lecture. Get your first months in this lecture will discuss Zuman. Prime lenses went to use. What? Where's difference. Also, we look at epitaph. Promise you will make it quick and short. On the last part, I recommend you your first lenses You should buy to get started, so let's get into it. There's really two different types off lenses. Are there the first categories zoom lenses you see on the left and on the right hand here, that is a colder prime lance. What is the difference? Pretty easy with the zoom lands you consume with the right run a prime lens. You can zoom in so you have to go further or Europe to your object That you want to photograph. Prime men's is are really versatile. You can use them for everything from near to far, while prime lenses are limited, so you'll have to choose between what you want to see in the frame. So why would anybody choose a zoom lens or a prevalence? While pretty easy zoom lenses are for your everyday shoot? Also, prominence west the difference. So imagine you're in a city. Anyone shoot people buildings you want to do landscape later on. Well, zoom lens is gonna help you achieve that. If you want to do beautiful portrait, it's Do select the shots of the city Well, the prime mints will do good for you, and pregnant is sharper. And let's more light onto the form than a zoom lens. And this is because a prime lance has less lenders in it behind compared to zoom lens, and that makes it easier for the light to pass through. That makes a chopper, and also let's more light through a zoom lens. On the other hand, it's super flexible. So if you're in the city and need different perspectives, you don't need to run always to your object back and forth because it can zoom. And so there's no fixed rule. When you use the zoom lens or prominence, it really is dependent on the situation. You want to shoot, you will get a feeling for it and probably will buy a zoom lands and a prominence, and we'll have fun with part of them. So we're going to cover a little bit off theory. A. I'm gonna make it quick and dirty. You will hear about all the concepts and later on, if you need them, I'll give you guidelines on how to use them, and then you have all the time in the world to real. Dig into them if you like. If you're not, I'll make you ready to shoot you first roll of film. So 1st 1 focal length you will buy a lense with a certain folk lands. Andi. If you buy a zoom lens, it will be arranged so classic ones are 80 to 55 millimeters. This is a classic zoom lins, or 35 millimeters or 50 millimeters are classic prime lenses. This is really just how much zoom you have. 300 millimeters this zoo presume 80 millimeters 12 millimeters white lands and everything in between is totally normal. No, we're going to cover a really important part and that its epitaph. I'll start with a quick introduction and later on one. And explain to you how you start shooting the first film. I will give you tips how to use it. So don't get confused. Just listen to what I say, and then later on, I will explain how to use it. Shooting film DePetro means how much light falls onto your phone, so have a look on the left. This is a open aperture and the number is small. This is 1.8. So the smaller the 1.8 member is for example, the more light falls onto the phone on the same time compared to the same lens on right which is close to so really lot less light can fall onto the foam, which is a high Apertura which is 22 or 20 in this case. So it means less light false 12 your film in the same time. So you shoot one second left, one will let in a lot more light than the right one. And I will explain to you what is the outcome when you have a small Lipitor and a big appetite. So the result off a different EP ITAR is the depth of field and if you look at the left, you have a blower background on the right. You have a pretty clear background. Everything shop in front in the back, a small apertura. A small F point to here means that only a small portion woodshop. You want this for portrait photography? That means your model ISS shop in the middle and everything else is blurred out. Looks really good. If you, on the other hand, wanna shoot in a city and want to do a landscape photo if you want to choose a high epitaph for that. So everything is nice and sharp in the picture. So as a quick recap, what should you remember? From this lesson, Epitome means how much light faults through your lens onto your phone on the left. One is a small F number on the right. One is a high F number, and the smaller the F number, the more light falls into your form. So I want to do a portrait, for example, a hand. Wanna have a nice blower background? Choose a small F number. If you're shooting a city, Onda will have great landscape. Choose a high F number because this will mean that everything will be shop as promised. I will tell you know my recommendations for your camera and the best tip off all its really go in Google, your camera plus best lens. So if a tape in Nikon F G 20 plus best camera, I will find a movie imposed about what people think are the best lenses from 50 millimeter to 35 millimeter. So do that, and he will be good. Now. I will tell you a little bit about what I will recommend you as a star on Let's Have a Look , which lenses they'll star. The 1st 1 is my personal all time favorite. It's a 50 millimeter lens on, and this one is great for everything. I have no problem walking up and back from objects, so I don't need a zoom lens in this case. And the 50 millimeter is perfect for city photography. That is, I just like how the photos look, how it comes out, how sharp these photos are. Great lens. 2nd 1 is a 35 millimeter lens, and this one is widely recognized as the best part lens. So if you want to start shooting portrait's when city photography go for a 35 millimeter lens, the third category is a classic zoom lands on and really hear. The possibilities are impossible. So if you get a lens with your camera, just take it. It will be good, and for the start, everything is fine. A classic zoom Lins ISS mostly between 18 to 50 18 to 80 millimeters, and you can't do much wrong pills. Just go with the lenses and you will see how they're rated. So thanks for sticking through this theoretical lesson. I hope it wasn't too boring or too confusing. I'll make sure everything you learned theoretical today you will learn how to use it on your camera in the next lessons. So aperture, focal and and depth of field will make a lot more sense in the following lessons. When we start using your camera and I will show you how you make the best pictures without thinking too much off all these theoretical concepts gel in the next lecture. Thank you. 4. Buying Guide: Camera and Lens: everybody. Welcome back in this lecture. We'll see how you buy camera lenses and I will tell you way should buy your camera first lengths on what to buy. Would it be careful off what places to buy A cameras? Add on some general recommendations. What to look out for in the condition of the camera. So let's get started. So let's start the cameras on, and there's not much to do wrong here. I would a vice you to buy one of the most common brands. Can a Nikon. I gave you my recommendations earlier. This is because you will find all the manuals on and everything you need to get started online. Tons of tutorials, tons of references, great guides on camera and lens buys. So that will be my biggest advice. Really Go for a non brand. My second advisers just look out for leaked batteries. This is a condition when batteries are stored really a long time, they can leak, and often you have some old batteries inside of a camera. It's not a deal breaker. You can always keep it up, but it's unhealthy. It doesn't look good, and if you have the chance just buy a camera without this because it's not always reversible. Okay, next part buying lenses. So one thing to look out for is autofocus on manual. And keep in mind that most all cameras don't have autofocus. So be aware that if you have, if you want to focus, you will have to turn it manually. Some cameras and cameras from the mid nineties to two thousands and higher up they have autofocus. But then you have to make sure to buy a lens that supports out of focus. So if you rely and if you wanna have other Fogel's look at the camera, look at the lands, Google it if they compatible in terms of out of focus. On the other hand, every single lens will work in manual mote. It has a wonderful goes. It works, Emmanuel. It has no autofocus. It works. Emmanuel, so many old doesn't always work. No problem here, So lenses are quick will. Actually, most of the time, if you focus with them and it works and no lenses broken, you can see that from the outside and the EPA, chest closing and opening. No problem at all. Just buy it. One thing to look out for its lens fungus, and that is a kind of fungus that grows inside your lens, which will make it worse. It won't produce so great pictures. So if you buy a lends and you see some fungal slick on the right side, so small stuff inside of your lands skip it. Just buy a different lens. So as a recap and some final tips by good lenses over good cameras. And this makes sense because when you think of digital cameras, you always think, Oh, I need to have the best newest camera. That's not how it works for Angelo cameras, because it's about the film and the lens. There's no sensor in your camera that makes your camera better than another one with an aloe cameras. The shittiest camera and the 2000 euro camera were probably produced very close pictures, so no difference there go for but good lenses look online by the recommended ones. And if you want to in west some money but invested in a lense rather than super camera body that isn't it s important to you and a perfect way to find cameras at home. Um, good one, just ask your friends and family, and it's very common that the uncle off your sister whatever has a camera in an L. A camera. Most people I know still live old camera somewhere hidden in the basement or in their living room and a cupboard hidden, and they haven't think thought of it in the last 40 years. So now it's a good time to just go and ask them if you could use it perfectly. Fine hand. It's free. You have mostly a full set. You might even find some 40 year old from If no one in your family has a camera, all wants to share their camera with you. No problem. Just go on em zin on eBay or on the yacht sales Easy peasy, you will find low cost quality cameras. Usually yacht sales and eBay are grade Amazon, and there's a professional solace. Usually, that's why you want to avoid pawnshops or camera stores, actually, because usually when you see a camera store somewhere hidden in their display, that will have some Well, what 5 10 anillo cameras and there will be overpriced as help. They will charge you at least double what you will pay online because start their main business, and they just hope someone will buy it. So avoid pawnshops and camera stores. Look on eBay. Ask your friends and family. Go on the out sales and you will have a really good chance that you will find a affordable , high quality camera and lens, which will make you happy for a couple of years. So good luck with that. That's it for this lecture. I hope you enjoyed it and see you in the next section. 5. Choose your film: Len walking back to choose your film and this lecture will cover color black and white film eso small technical piece Choose a foam my recommendations for your phone first roll to form and way you can buy affordable ankle quality for So let's get started on the first phone We'll look at IHS the 35 millimeter film. You will know that one from the cameras we talked about. This is a color film colorful, missed, the most common and she just won. The next one is 100 20 millimeter form just to see how big it actually is compared to a 35 millimeter film on the last one is a black and white for no forward. And if you might have seen, they have different numbers on themselves. So in this case, a code up 200 a four hundreds From what that means, Let us the I saw number. I will show you quickly. I so really means how light sensitive issue foam and the less light sensitive. So I saw 100. The final the grain and grain is really the grainy stuff you see on the picture here up to maybe 3200 which is extremely higher for film, which has a lot of grain and noise inside. If it bots a ISA 100 form needs a lot more like to have the same picture s a isil 3000 phone. So it depends really on the situation on, and I won't. Did you know what is the standard for getting started on which one you should choose and for the start, let's not make it a rocket science either. Pick easily 200 which is a great form for outside shooting in the sun if it's a few clouds on outside, but it's a lot of light outside that is great for 200. The 401 issue your favorite film. If everything else indoors that day or the sunset, choose them a easel 400 phone. So just one of those to you will be always good. A quick note here on expired form, and you will sometimes find online or in stores old film, and this one has gone since October 2000. This will result in some unexpected things with the form, so try it out. It will not ruin your form in the most cases, but it will not produce the best pictures. It's fun. Just explore it. I like it. So my advisers just go for it. If you get one, just try out what happens with it. Just don't expect the best or the fanciest pictures out of it. So here my recommendations for you, which film to choose and my all time favorite one is the Coda Gold 200. It produces quality images every time it will just work. Even if you mess it up, it will produce great pictures. A standard, really. A classic black and white film is the afford HP five in the 400 ISO version here. This is one of the most iconic black and white films. Yeah, it's more expensive. It's but just try it. It's fun. I would recommend starting with some color film, and then we'll get a roll of black and white and have some fun with it. 3rd 1 is the company, actually, Lamar Griffey, and you might know them from there. Well, you could even say hipster cameras or Russian rebuilds. Aan de llama graffiti brings out a lot of firms that are not your standard form, but more off a crazy version. Some look like expired form. Some look like you put an instagram filter on it. Cool effects somewhere. Really beautiful. You can always google or nine what they have on stock and what the results are. If you're looking for really a hipster look rather than a neutral look, go with mammography. There will have everything you wish for. So I know you've choosen a phone well, easy peasy where you want to go and buy some film you can find form Really good on Amazin You can find really good film on eBay. Also, look on eBay If you're looking for expired phone drugstores like CVS will always carry a mostly a standard phone, like with a cold. So if you want to get started and want to have some cheap film wanted, have a look there. Local camera stores have also a broad collection off analog firms. If you're lucky, some don't carry it anymore, but they might be a little overpriced. Can be good source, came a bad source, have a look and asked just what they charge for the films and look online. Last but not least, ask your friends and family. It's not uncommon they usually have old stock. There s oh my black and white firm from October 2000. This is one of my parents films. It's gone since a couple of years, but if you are OK with shooting some experimental film Perfect, ask friends and family there will supply with your experimental stock. So as a quick recap, just shoot whatever form you confined if it's expired. If it's the cheapest one you can find, just just shoot the film. It's always fun, and you, Dellys a beauty off anillo photography. You will never know what comes out of it, so you can buy five different forms and we'll have a blast just seeing how they develop. And I'm sure you will not be mad if one or two photos go bad because the rest is just beautiful. Just go for it and learn with cheap firm Don't invest in expensive black and white foam. Go for a natural jeep, very unlike the correct gold or whatever you can find for coliform, you can, because the first films will be more often experiment rather than professional photography , because there to what it a lot of settings could use your camera's. He held reacts, shoot some cheap form and then immersed in some premium forms if you want. And in the end, experiment a lot. No, don't what you just shot. So, for example, shoot one with the different Apertura. One photo with a little higher capital. A little different speed. Write it down and in the end, have a look what your results are. Have a lot of fun with experimenting and see you in the next lecture. Thank you. 6. Insert your film: hello and welcome to insert your phone in this lesson, I will quickly show you how to insert your form into your camera. And the cool thing is, while you might have a different camera, the process is always the same. Yeah, you might have to turn a different job, but you will find out online in a manual and altitude the normal process. So you need your film. And, oh, guess what? Your camera on the first step issue will find this small dial here. Andi. This one holds usually the way to open the back of your camera, so pull it up and the backup's open. Now it's time to inside the foam on, depending on the camera, it can be on the left side or on the right side, just the different version. For me, it's your on the left side, and I will insert the film, and now I have the least piece here, sticking out. I will pull it out and insert it into the right side. Make sure that it sticks so you can see it starts pulling. And if it's that's pulling, you notice that your foam iss fixed inside thought will happen is, it will pull the firm from the left side to the right side until you have shut all the photos. So loaded. Shoot your first photo. Make sure that you waste the 1st 2 or three photos because they're gonna be crept anyway. And that's how you lucky form. That is very easy. Just remember to set the I so setting you will have it somewhere in your camera. You will put in a 400 I cell phone, put the dial to 400. It's a 200 phone. Put it to 200. So good luck with that. That's pretty easy. See in the next lecture. 7. Aperture, Speed and ISO: go and come back in this quick theory lesson, I will teach you everything that you learned so far about temperature speeding. I saw how to use that, actually, how to set your camera and get the best for the results with the 1st 4 Let's get started. So quick Recap on isil and while that one is free because I so it's fixed with your film. So if you put in a SL 400 film sec year, that's the 400 NT 200 film. Well, you can make it wrong. Just set the denial in the beginning when you load the film and don't forget to change it if you change the phone after it, so don't think about it. So what's left aperture and speech so quick? Listen on a picture and a picture as a recap is how much light goes through the lens onto my phone and I can open and close the eh picture here. This one is a white open apertura. And if I turn on this not appear on this road, this one closes so smallest to biggest. How much light goes onto my film? On the second component is shadow speed shutter speed is how fast the curtain opened and closed. Seek the curtain here in the back. This one will open No for exactly one second. Magic. How did I know that on Do you can set this at the dial on top of your camera? You have different settings. Most cameras go from one second to one thousands off a second. Really, Really fast. Here is a 1 to 250 I couldn't even see it. So let's make it a little less fast here half a second and you see, in conjunction with Apertura, this also controls how much and whole long in case of shadow speed light touches your phone together. This forms the basis to get a great photo. I hope that makes it a little bit easier to understand how these to work together. One is how long the shutter speed is, How long light falls onto your for and the Apertura is home. Much light falls through the lens. Bring it together. Have a look at this table here. So look at the ice. A 100 line. This means on a sunny day. Take a 100 on the second and an aperture off F 16 and you will have a great photo on. And this is something you will after a couple shots and a couple firms notice on and learn very quickly. Don't care for it too much in the beginning. It's just confusing to figure it out on Bond to help you with that. There are two options depending on your camera. I wouldn't did you say to know and let's look into that on? That's great help so you don't need to remember everything. There's a internal meter that a lot off anillo cameras half. But not every camera has that. So in case your camera doesn't have an internal light meter, you can always use a light meter app from the APP store or from Google play to measure what settings you should set on your camera, which is cool. That makes it really easy for beginners and even advanced were able to get an idea at least what you're setting should be. I would show, you know, the internal meter and afterwards the like meter. So what you see here is a internal light meter inside of the viewer, off your camera and it shows you the speed that is recommended with the appetite you chose . The top ones are from 1000 to 1. It's the Nikon F G 20 years earlier. And this one tells you if I have a picture off 2.8, you should set the speed to 250. Great tool. Easy to use. If your camera doesn't have an intern like media, no problem at all. You could just choose one of the thousands free light meter reps from the APP store and what you can do with it. You set your aperture U S stops in this case Troop on five said the eye so that you choose on your film in this case, a 400 film. And it will tell you what is the recommended speed for this photo. This will change dynamically on what you show through the camera. So it will measure through your phone camera. What a pitta or what speed used to take and you can change it. You could go for I want to shoot in 1 250 seconds to I want to shoot with a different temperature. Great tool. So to conclude this theory lesson. I hope I gave you an idea what the different settings say and mean. But make sure you will start with the light meter, the internal light meter or the light meter app, and don't make it too complex. And if you get stuck with an idea or one else, just google it. There is a ton off great material out there, people who can explain it way better than me. Also, everyone who's interested into the theoretical details really in depth. There is a whole science about settings on analog and digital cameras. You will find enough content. I hope this gave you an oppression. What you need to know to should you first form. And now congratulations. You are ready to go out and shoot your first film if you like. You can go now and shoot the first. Wonderful. And I would be glad if you German the next lecture afterwards. Else just room in the next lecture on CIA soon 8. Take your film out: No. Everybody welcome to take your phone out. I'm glad that you join again and I hope you will trickling down hard to take you for a mod without ruling in it. So let's get started. Okay, so that's gonna be a quick one. Just grab your camera on. And as you put in the film and just pulled up, open it up and shit. You ruined your form that that's not how are we going to do it? Let me show you how to do it without ruin. Young your phone. Okay? No. For real. I will show you how to get your phone out. And your camera will have somewhere a point. A nop which you have to press a button to release your form. And this is different from every camera. Really? So just go online and look for it for a explanation for the old manual. And now you press that No, you can turn your phone back. Yes, you can see I'm just back winding the film inside the camera would slow and steady. And if you get stuck, maybe press the button again. Sometimes that happens. But be careful not to press too much so turn that up until it rolls really freely. As you see here, there's no resistance anymore pregnant on Pull it out. Which means that the film is now inside of the coverage, so I usually have to pull it again. Now the film's out on DSA cured. You lost no photos. Andi, they go. You see, the film's inside and you won't be able to get it out. So let's go and develop it. Jum in the next lecture. Thank you. 9. Develop your film: Hello and welcome back to develop your form. And in this lecture, we will discuss how to develop your form. They're supposed ability to do it yourself or you dude in a photo store on where to develop your foot. So let's get into it. So when developing reform, we have two options you can re legal and do it yourself. Or you can go in a store and let someone develop it for you. A photo lip do to yourself ISS a fun thing which is quite advanced. You will handle a lot of chemicals and you will have to buy all the material. There are kids out there which you can use can buy them on Amazon, for example. You will any to pay by paper. It will only develop at home, probably the negative. So you still need someone to print these photos, though my recommendation for everyone out there is to bring into a store. This is Jeep reliable. You have a lot of printing options. Someone will do it for you. You will save so much time, so much money and afterwards if you get a feeling for your camera, if you feel confident that the film you just shut will be good results, then go ahead. And if you like, try a d. Y, I said, grabbed a kid online and give it a shot. But for the first couple rolls of film, stick with the stole one. So usually the places that sell you the phone were also develop ID, so drugstores for the stores will develop it for you. But there is a bunch off online for a lapse. He will just go in your country and see what for. The labs are available, but often this is a great opportunity because these are specialized for a lapse. Pricing might be on the middle between a photo store and a trek store, so they won't be the cheapest one. But also they will do a good job and they will send it back to you when it's developed, so you don't even have to pick it up. Great option, I think. Just ever look what is available in your country to give you a good idea what I would choose as my first development film, I'll go with a classic former 9 to 13 or a 10 to 15 or the inch equivalent off those photos because those are the standard photo formats. It's cheap to develop in this size. If you go for bigger one, you will pay a lot more. And there's two options usually met. Oculus e. That's up to you. Sometimes I always develop in glasses. Sometimes he will have to pay more format, but just have a look. Also, you can get Prince cities and negative, so we usually what you can order. It's also a digital version off your firm, which is school if you want to upload them somewhere. If you just want to store and just get the city, it's mostly 10 bucks on top. So yep, it's still a good service. You can also go if you have only the negatives. Go to some place that develops form, and they can use the negatives too. Digitalized. Your photos on a CD or USB stick for you So quick. My recommendations for a first roll of film go develop it at a drugstore or today Online service. Choose glossy as option that it's the classic 19 to 13 or 10 to 15. Just what you like, but keep it small that keeps the price down on, then you're ready to wait until your film. It's ready to pick up or has been sent to you. All right, so that concludes the development part of the form and Jeremy in the next lecture. Thank you. 10. Store, Organise and Scan: Hello, everyone. Welcome to the last lecture store in organized way will quickly go through the best practices off keeping a phone and can educative safe on also contra digitalized your photos . First of all, keep your film and negatives in a dry and dark place. You will get the photos back in a pouch in a paper polish where the photos are best stored in. You can organize them in different ways. I'll show you later on. But if you don't want to organize it in different couple ways, just go with the purchase that comes with your phone. When handling the photos, please make sure that you don't touch them so much. So don't touch the photos to March and don't touch the negatives. That's really important. Breadth, um, on the science so you don't get any fed or dust on to the negatives, especially the photos is okay. But the negatives are really sensitive to that, because this will stick there for years. And if you want to reproduce a photo, he will not reproduce it from the printed photo, but from the negative. So the negative is basically your only store version, and you don't wanna get scratches on edge. You don't wanna have fat layers on it, so keep it really just inside approach and get them out waiting. You need them. So let's talk about boat organizing your photos. They're a couple versions, which you can do. What I like to do is saw the my pouches by year, so I will go and labour them for 2018. Ever quickly. No, down what I photographed and then have all the photo stale. Other people like to sort them really separated by negatives. In a envelope system you can buy online. Just go go forwards. Negative storage. Andi. You can start the photos and photo albums, but that's really up to you. Oh, if you want to go in digital iasi of photos, there are two or three valid options. 1st 1 is buying a photo scanner and these ones I knew quite expensive, especially when you're just getting started with an Alok photography. So think about getting one used just on eBay or Craigslist wherever you can find a foetus. Cano a easy way for starters, which works actually quite good, but this 100 professional option at all is Scougall. Photo skin. You can get the app from the android and IOS store. You could just don't not it for free. And this wall scan with a pretty cool method. Your photos. Make sure that there's no glare on it. Great option. If you have no other option, the last option is getting it professionally scanned so you can send them into a lap. And you can do that at your photo shop on what they will do is scan the negatives on give you back a CD or a USB stick with the data on it. But that is a quite expensive option, but usually the quality is quite high. So thank you very much. You have made it to the end of this course. I'm really glad that you stuck to the end, and I hope you really enjoy this course. I wish you all the best and hope to see you and future courses. Thank you and goodbye
