2. IDEATE > Nailing your Business' Name: One of the most exciting
parts of starting a business is coming up with
a name for that business. But it can be really
tricky because obviously not every name
is still available. There might be a competitor
with a very similar name. You may want to check things like trademarks and so forth. A lot of thought is
going to go into this. Some of the other
considerations would be if the name needs
to be recycled, is there a different
spelling which sounds the same and has the same meaning that maybe can be a slightly unique
part of your business. Like for example, you
might be able to take the vowels out and it would
still have the same meaning, but be a bit more ownable
as a brand entity. I found the chat CBT is one of the best sidekicks
in this process. Because when I was coming
up with a business name, I remember drawing blanks
and referencing things like Pinterest for competitors that weren't in my
country, for example. And it was really just a mess. So Chad CBT has revolutionized this process
because here you can see I'm giving it a problem
to come up with ten names for an online academy teaching digital marketing. This was the question I was
asking myself five years ago. I didn't have the same
level of support where now because everything can
be AI assisted in some way, you feel like a, there's a
lot more inspiration and B, you're able to get ideas pop up the chest wouldn't
ordinarily have come to use. So here are some examples
of what it's giving me. I don't think these
are terrible, they're obviously
not the catalyst. So the next prompt I used
was making them quick. Yeah, I feel like pixel
pioneers is pretty fun. Digital dynamo,
marketing Mavericks, the digital ninja Dojo. All of these are
really actually quite cute and I think you
could work with them. Then I asked it to
make them shorter. So some of the other
examples did Cipro does the mark, digital growth hacker. I mean, I really think
these all grades, the name that I ended
up coming up with for my business was do digital. So I'm checking if there's anything similar
that I can prompt that GPT to use that
similar to do digital, digital Dojo, do
marketing, digital doers. I mean, these are all fantastic. And then finally,
make them one word. So here you can
see I'm trying to get it to make Pangea versions. Other prompt you could give
it as two, like I mentioned, remove the vowels
and see if there's a variation or a
different spelling. It's gonna give you
the same meaning. That is also a great approach
because like I mentioned, it's more likely that the
domain would be available. Speaking of domains
being available, let's say we have chosen dizzy Pro as the way in which
we're going to proceed. I've asked her to
give me a table of available URLs for a
business that I'm starting. Of course this is fictitious. And Bob's your ankle, it literally gives
me a table with whether or not the domain
name is available or taken. So then I asked you
to add a column with suggested
hosting providers. And what do you know? It's giving me examples
and suggestions of hosting providers
that I can then go and register the domain with. So as an aside, I use GoDaddy because I found it to be the
most affordable. But in the beginning
you might not have necessarily even
knowing where to start in terms of where
can I host this website? Then I've prompted
it and said, Well, my business is actually
in South Africa. Could you include odd
curves that options? So it's not giving me dizzy
product closer, so forth. It's also added
hosting providers, which I recognize they are
popular in South Africa. So that's all totally legit. And then I've asked
it to combine the two most recent tables it's given me so that I have a
combination of.com domains, dot io domains,
dot Coser domains. And then from there I can choose the best
possible solution. As you can see, that literally took us all a five-minutes. We've probably come up with either a working title or minimum viable product
by whatever name. We also know where and how are we going to
register our domain? And that's really shorten
what would have otherwise taken a week or a month
into five-minutes. How incredible is that?
3. INVESTIGATE > Competitors & Pricing: The next phase is our
investigation phase. In this phase, we're going
to be making a table of competitors and getting
some pricing insights. So the first prompt I've said is giving me a list
of ten competitors, five South African because
that's where I am. And five American because I feel like a lot of online
learning platforms are American who are online academies teaching
digital marketing. So here it's giving me a list of five sub African competitors. These are definitely correct because I've done this
process manually. And then American
competitors, of course, I can go and check
out these five and see how similar or
different they are. To my offering. It does, of course, come
with the caveat that competitive landscape
may change over time. But you could go, and, for example, populate
this into Google Sheets. You could ask it to put it into a table and then you
can manually go and gather the pricing that is accurate as to the
time of you checking. So that would be super
helpful just to do that first little dip
stick test in terms of how competitive your
offering would be. Fan, I've said, make a table
of possible pricing models. So this might be a
little bit unique to the academy example because there are a few different ways in which I battled when I
was starting out by business to try and work out what are the different ways
in which I can cost. But the premise remains. So basically it's going
to create a table with a variety of different suggestions
around high can price, everything from a onetime fee, subscription to tiered pricing to pay per course freemium. So all of this is super valuable because if you were
completely ignorant, she'd never been on the course
content space previously, you would start to
understand things like the differences between a
membership versus a course. And how you could Ansel
and up-sell in the space. And a lot of this I
wouldn't have actually known and I wouldn't have even known the questions to ask, so that's really helpful. Another thing that is a
little bit more specific, but you can get the picture
of what I'm trying to ask. I'm asking it for different
pros and cons of how I structure the course that
I'm planning on launching. So I'm asking it
for pros and cons. And it's going to
basically telling me, if I want to have an evergreen course that doesn't launch, it's just forever live. They would be these
praise these cons. And then similarly, if I want to launch these pros, these cons, then I'm asking about the benefits of where I
should host the course, self-hosting versus
using a marketplace. Again, some really
useful insights here. All of these I would
say a pretty spot on. For example, I started out self-hosting and then I moved onto hosting on a marketplace. I can attest to both the strengths and
the weaknesses cab. So now I'm pushing it a little bit into a corner
because I feel like it really didn't want to onset the specifics around
pricing and pricing models. So I've asked it again, it's still given me the
different pricing types. It's trying not to
give me actual prices. So let's just try one
more time and see if it's actually willing to
give me random value months. Okay, cool. So I was thinking that maybe it was skirting
the question, but here, in fact, it is offering some suggestions. And I'll take a deeper look and obviously kind of
stress test this against how I ended up
pricing the course. But it's definitely
going to give you food for thought in
terms of ways in which you can consider
to approach pricing and whether or not you
choose to go with that is a different story, but certainly it'll give you some ideas in terms of
how to get started.
4. INNOVATE > Generate Copy for your Sales Page: So here you can see exactly what my current
website looks like. And it is hosted on Wix. Obviously, this is totally
down to personal preference. Many people do prefer
Squarespace as an example. But I'm basically showing you an outline of how my
current sales pages look. Previously. None of these
were written with APT. They were written behind me and they were really
hard to do because I'm not an overly salesy
person and I really battled to sell
myself in this way. But now, of course
with chat GPT, I can just create a
duplicate of the page. So I have an air table course that has Copy and I'm
trying to duplicate the page and effectively
create landing page copy as though I was promoting
first-class about church EBT. So here you can see I
already have a bit of a framework which you
don't necessarily need. That is what I'm going
to plug into chat GPT. So I was quite happy with the length
that it had previously generated for the
IR table portion. I'm basically saying write a sales landing page
for this class, but I'm not going
to have to give it quite a bit more information because the class is no longer
of course about a table, but rather about
the AI accelerator. So I'm giving it a
few prompts here in terms of what my class is about. Of course, you want it to have some contexts so that
it can put forward some juicy cells orientated copy that is based on the
content of the class. But you don't have to give
it to match considering just how much coffee
it was actually outputting there
for both air table. And you'll see in a
few short seconds, for this new class,
I'm chatty BT. What I love the most about using CBT for this purpose is that it is good at selling
in the way that it communicates a
value proposition. But it's not too overboard in terms of the way in
which it over cells. And in the instances
that it is a little bit too overboard or a
little bit too salesy. That's when you're
obviously just going to go in and make your tweaks and changes by only criticism of the copy that it produced for me here was that it was too long. There was quite a
bit of repetition. So you just want to watch
out for the repetition. But it is quite nice sometimes when it repeats
something a few times, you can just pick
the version that you like how it's articulated. So really I have no
complaints. Yeah. And I also like that
it uses a lot of emojis because even if
you dial down the emojis, of course, you still
didn't have to search for them and put them. So I'm pretty happy with this, but I'm saying instead of
saying Our because it keeps, kept on referring to our class, I obviously the person
creating the course, so I wanted to say my class. And then I did do
some other tweaks. Like for example,
I think it said my groundbreaking class
after I did this. I don't want to be too gimmicky. I'm quite a
straightforward person, so I did obviously make a few tweaks in
terms of the tone. But in essence, I was very
happy with both the formatting and the content of this copy because I've
already created a class, obviously it was a little
bit easier for me. But even if you're
starting from scratch, you basically just need to give the relevant information about the product that you're selling. And chatty PT is
going to be able to help you in terms of producing something that is going
to function really nicely for the purpose of sales. And it's also going to be your best cheerleader
in terms of conveying things in such a way that is a little bit more sales. Even someone like me, for example, would speak. I'm doing this
formatting myself. I could have probably
gone back and asked us to put the
spaces and for me, but for whatever reason and
I'm not sure if this is the Wix CMS or the
actual output, but you can see I'm just
making some tweaks, changes. I like to always put the
first paragraph in bold just so that you can be
drawn in by the copy. And then here, like I mentioned, removing anything that's overly kind of salesy or
doesn't sound like me. And otherwise, it's just more a case of making
sure that it's accurate. Making sure that
the course content is exactly what I do have. There you can see I've
added in as a solopreneur, I'm really trying to
make it feel more like something that I
would produce organically. The six step process, I didn't give it enough
information here, so it went on a tangent on
what the six-step process is. And you'll see that I'm just
referencing a table which is what I use to
create my classes. This is where effectively
build out my scripts, which is what I then import into My teleprompter app on my phone. So yes, I am referencing a table and
going back and forth, but it was pretty simple and straightforward for me
to just go and grab what the six steps are in this class so that I can
input it on the sales page. So if you are a course creates, I do have a separate class, like I mentioned on a
table specifically. So if you do have any
interest in that ROM, you'll see that it is a
relational database that allows you to capture a lot of
information and store it easily. And this is all going
to be fodder for AI. So instead of just saving reams and reams
of Word documents, if I have an easily
accessible database with information
about my classes, it means that more and more
I can rely on something like Jesse Beatty to take over
some of the heavy lifting. Of course. Like I mentioned, Wix is a matter of
personal preference. So there'll be a lot
of people that say, well, my classes
and bolt-on works. It really doesn't matter in
what software your website is built or what the actual output
you're creating is like, for example here the output, of course is a
course curriculum, but you may be wanting to outline the benefits
of your servers. You might have a
lawn mowing company and that be what
you're promoting. It doesn't really
matter too much. If you are a fellow Wix
leather, of course, you can copy this process a
little bit more granularly. But if, for example, you using WordPress or Squarespace
or anything else, it's still going to
work beautifully. Then of course, I am
just being mindful of my spacing and making sure that I'm happy with stuff
like the font. But I'm pretty happy with
how this has come out. Then I have a section
on my website where it breaks down the
actual module names, which in this instance
happened to be the same as the
six-step process, but oftentimes it will
be completely different. Here you can see I'm asking chat CBT to remove
the timestamps. Because when I copy and
pasted out of my framework, which I'm now referencing
from Skillshare directly. It's got a bunch of timestamps. It didn't understand
me perfectly because in the next version you'll
see it still has timestamps, but it has fixed the formatting. But normally when I
ask you to remove the timestamps, it'll do so. So here I had just happened to confuse it because it's really important that I have all the information on the site to ensure that there's
a high keyword density, which is going to
be then whites. It's going to help my
Google organic ranking for this particular
skill share class. So I find this absolutely invaluable when it comes to creating sales pages. Hopefully you've seen the
gist of how this can work. And I can't wait to hear about how you have been
able to apply it to your sales slash landing
page creation process? Because for me, it has
become a game changer. Previously, I used to spend entire days writing this copy. And now it's really
just a case of tweaking what it gives me and
it takes me about 10 min. So I hope that helps
5. IMPERSONATE > Stakeholders & Customers: This section is called impersonated because
that's exactly what we're going to be asking
Chetty PT to help us with. They are a few scenarios
where we're going to need chatty BT to
impersonate us. Impersonate, maybe people
were asking for funding, maybe impersonates a
prospective customer. And we're going to ask it to do all three of those, right? So the first little
task I'm going to give to you guys is to ask
it about an elevator pitch. This is kind of ubiquitous regardless of what sort of
business you're starting, typically you would
need an elevator pitch. Whether this is maybe
going to go into a presentation that
you're doing, or a video, or maybe a mission statement, you're going to need some
sort of elevator pitch. I said it's more accessible than other digital
marketing courses. The classes are updated
far more frequently. And as digital marketing
is forever changing, I feel like it's important that students know that they can count on my courses to be
the most apps the minute. Give me an F copy for a two-page summary
document which I can give to potential funders. Obviously, you can tweak and
change the length of this, but I feel like two
pages is quite nice. And I've said that
the term should be upbeat, fun, and informative. Remember tone is super
important to specify because sometimes it uses
like a more flowery language, sometimes uses way to
conversational tone. And so we really want to be prescriptive on
the turning point. Then I've said please
use stats about how big the online education market
is in 2023 globally, as well as how much marketing
spend is currently being used for digital marketing
mediums in South Africa. So here you can see a beautifully written
elevator pitch because I didn't give
it the academy name. It's putting the academy
name and brackets. But I really feel
like the language, it's using a spot onto the tone, things like good,
ready to unleash your digital marketing
superpowers. That sounds very upbeat to me. We believe that education
should be accessible to all. That's, of course, the
part that I was saying, accessibility wise
is important to me. Then here the paragraph
that follows is that the causes are far more
frequently updated. However, because it's
not connected to the Internet in real time, it's not able to
pull these stats, which is a great learning and
something to be aware of. It's been trained
on older dates, I believe it's up until 2021. So that's why it's not
giving me the stats. And it says that we haven't apiece and fan approach to learning,
which is cool. It's getting that from my tone, no doubt lectures yet. I liked that it
uses a combination of long and short sentences. And then I like
also that it makes a note to remember to include the stats next up on the
impersonation fraud. Now that it's impersonated
me as the startup, I'm going to write an email. And here I'm going to be very specific about
who my target audiences. It's to potential
funders who may be interested in providing
capital for my business. Mentioned that the above
handy guide is attached. So you see I'm building on
what came above and saying, I want to demonstrate
why the business do digital is different
and special. It's giving me a
proposal object line. I mean, how kind is that? I'm reaching out to
introduce you to an exciting investment
opportunity that has the potential to transform the digital marketing
education landscape in South Africa. In the attached document, which again comes from
the above prompt. Again, it's providing a
summary of why this may be interesting and
important to this person. So again, using
it to impersonate me as the founder
and CEO of judicial. Now I want to do a bit more on the impersonation
friend because I actually wanted to
pretend like you're the receiver of the above male, ask relevant questions
about the startup and point out some potential
foes in my business. So especially for
first-time founders, they are definitely gaps in the information that you put out there about
your company. There's no two ways about it. There's no perfect startup. I liked this approach because before I
hit send on a male, I can actually ask for
a potential response to look at the blind spots or look at the pieces that
I haven't covered. And lo and behold, it's asking me market
differentiation. The market has become increasingly
competitive. What am I? Unique strategies,
my target audience, It's picking up how am
I going to reach and attract my potential
customers and students? Course content and expertise. So while the emphasis on up to the minute content
is commendable, how does your digital
plan to maintain a consistently high
level of expertise? I mean, this is just brilliant, and so on and so forth. Similarly, in this
impersonation phase, I would definitely suggest also using prompts from a
customer's perspective. So customers are wondering five different Frequently
Asked Questions about my business. What might those
be and what sort of affirmation or reassurance
can I provide to them, for example, so that they don't have any hesitations
about biomolecules. As you can see, this impersonation
phase is so much fun, so balanced between customer, stakeholders, people
in your team, as well as you and the
font as the Fonda. And let me know. If you come up with any
brilliant insights, I would love to hear about it in the discussion section
of this clause
6. ITERATE > Create Social Media Content : So iterate is all about
content creation. So we're going to be
using my favorite tool, Canva and searching for an Instagram post template that's able to accommodate text. I have picked this one over here and you'll see because I have the premium or pro
version of Canva, I do have access to the brand hub that
allows me to store, I think about five colors. And so just with a
click of a button, you saw me there, change the color of that post. I then head on over
to chatty BT and I get a couple of quotes
about digital marketing. I think I asked it five here. Then once I've done that, I can ask it to put
it in a table for me. So that's going to populate
the first column with the quote itself and the second column with the
author of the quote. And you'll see why
in just a second. This is really going
to help us to create content that much faster
using chassis BC, which is of course
what we're here for. So once I've got
that in a table, I simply copy it and I
toggled back to Canva. Then I head on over to
the very bottom tab. Here you can see I've asked to add text in a table format. I then hit Done. And this is the bulk
create section. By the way, you can see that it's giving me
two days to fields on the left-hand side where the first data field
is the quote itself, and the second data
field is the author. So here you can see
I just have to click connect data to the
first text box. And then similarly for
the second text box, I'm going to connect
data as well, but of course, to the author
field in this instance. Here you can see I've
hit Generate and wallah. It's prompting me
to toggle over to the app version because I'm
using the web version here. But nevertheless, you
can see it's created a variety of different posts
with different quotes. Of course, you can
now go and change which color background
if you want an image or if you do in fact, once the exact same
background across the board. So a really easy way
to create content. In the next portion
of the video, we're going to discuss
how we can use Canva. It's solves AI, magic
riots as they call it. So if you just head down to the bottom right-hand
corner in Canva, you'll notice that
sparkle emoji, it's got a bunch of
different options like summarize text, expand text, rewrite, or
edit with magic, right? So what I'm looking for here is just the normal text field. And I'm able to write
with AI and copy. So I'm not now in this instance copying and pasting across
from Jesse Beatty. I'm using the inbuilt ai within Canvas to
help me to do this. So I was just having a look
to see what that would do. But now I'm going to
give it a prompt in the same way that I
give chat GPT prompts. And I've said here, give me
a quote about marketing. So I will say that I still find touch GPT to be a
little bit more robust. But obviously if
you're battling to toggle between the two systems, you can always just
use Canvas in bolts. Here it's giving me a
quote from Seth Godin. And so I can just simply look at what font is being
used lower down. Or alternatively, I
can use the brand have functionality to
copy across the funds. But I see in this instance
it's called seasons, the font that I was using. So I can just go and find
seasons. There you go. An easy way to create
content in mass
7. INSPIRATION > Actionable Insights with Book Summaries: Another super popular way in which entrepreneurs get
inspired is through books. And I am a huge proponent
of this approach. So I have previously had a
subscription to the blinkers, which if you're not familiar, is basically a summary book side where you can read the
summaries and then decide whether or not you
even want to spend the time buying the book or listening to it on an audio
platform like orderable bed. It's a really cool way of
condensing a box summary. However, I don't know how businesses like that
are still going to be going strong when you can effectively get the
same thing from AI. So of course, Audible is great because you can get the
entirety of the book. But most of the time I
find myself listening to a book on two times
speed in any case. So really what I'm getting at is that I'm trying
to extrapolate the value from a
book without having to waste endless
amounts of time. Also, because there's probably 100 books on the topics
that you're interested in. There's no way you're going
to be able to read 100 bugs before starting your business
in that particular niche. In the next way, I
would suggest if you're a budding entrepreneur
using touchy BT to write a book summary of any of
the books that you may have heard of that are relevant
to your industry. So Atomic Habits I have actually read and I found it
absolutely brilliant. I feel like regardless of
which industry you're in, it's a brilliant
book recommendations if you haven't checked it out, definitely check it out. Here. I'm getting a book summary. It's written by James Clear. It provides practical strategies and insights to help readers to create and sustain positive habits in their
personal and professional lives. It gives me the
full key principles that This book is based upon, which is Q craving,
response and reward. So really you're getting an
idea of the primary concepts, things like habit stacking, where new habits and
built upon old ones, making them easier to integrate
into our daily routines. And he also speaks about the
common obstacles that are hindering habit formation
such as procrastination, lack of motivation,
and inconsistency. He delves into topics like the power of
environmental design, the role of identity
in shaping habits, and the importance of
tracking progress. But as you can see, it's giving me a
really great breakdown of why this book may be helpful. From the summary, I can either choose to then go out
and buy the book. I can listen to it on Audible, or I can simply keep on
prompting chat GBT and saying, what ten actionable tips can I implement in my
life from the book? Start with identity. It says, define the type of
person you want to become and align your habits in
accordance with that identity. For example, if you want to become a more organized person, start by implementing
organizational habits. Make the habits obvious, make the habits attractive, make the habits easy. Use habit stacking,
which we've mentioned, implement habit
tracking and so forth. So here you can see other, it's missing a one out
of the ten numbering. It is 99% there in
terms of giving me the key action insights
from that book without me needing to go
ahead and read it. And I can do this with a
bunch of different books to basically end up with a
little mini checklist of some of the things which
are going to unlock my progress and prevent
my procrastination. Thanks to all of the insights from books
like Atomic Habits, this is an absolute game
changer and something that I wish that I'd had when I
was starting my business.
8. Your project: In this project task, you will be leveraging
the power of CBT to assist you
in coming up with a compelling business name for your startup and exploring
domain options for it. Gpt, of course, can provide you with invaluable
insights and creates a suggestions and assist in brainstorming ideas that align
with your brand identity. Additionally, you
will use chat GPT to explore available
domain options, both locally and
internationally, to ensure that you
can secure an online, to ensure that you
can secure and to ensure that you can secure
a strong online presence. In terms of the task
steps, step one, we're going to be introducing
you to tap GPT things. First off, you need to start
that conversation with Ted TBT and explain
the task at hand. Gpt know that you're
looking for assistance and generating a business
name for your startup. And she would like to
