1. Intro: Hello and welcome to this class. My name is Heidi, and today we are going
to be painting by napkins using that
assist technique. It is a very fun and easy
magical technique and I will charge you from the
beginning, chosen the colors. Why to use this
type of technique? What paper is better for you, cold pressed or hot pressed? And how will be
the final result? And you'll find that piece. Remember, you can
always turn me here an escalator and you
won't miss any class. I will love to see your work
project for this class. And I can't wait to see
which color disease. How would you
painted pineapples? And I am so excited
to have you in class. So let's begin. I will see you in
the next video.
2. The Supplies: Let's take a look
at all the supplies we are going to be using
during this class. And don't worry,
if you don't have the same as I am showing you. You can use whatever
you have at hand. First, you will need a good-quality watercolor
paper, European ruler. For this class, you will also need different in watercolors. I am using a cold press and
hot press watercolor paper. I will show you the
difference in the next video. Keep at hand some scrap paper for making the watercolor chat. And you will need the
magic cranium wax Canadian in this class. A brush. Different Russia is always
a nice thing to have water, clean water and upon to mix
the colors in your site. Also, a fine liner, wash day to fixture paper,
watercolor markers. A day. Wherever you think do you
need from your art supplies? You can also substitute the
crayon with masking fluids. I have two types, liquid masking fluid and
a ping masking fluid. If you don't have the Graham, just you can use that or the medium to work
in this class. I will see you in
the next video.
3. Create Your Color Chart: Before we start talking about the difference
papers that we are going to be using
during the class. Which are the hot
press watercolor paper and the cold press
watercolor paper. And you will see
that the front end, when we are working on
those type of paper, let's make our color chats. And I will just try all the colors that I
choose for this class, which are innocent range. So pink, blue, green
and different shades, and yellow in different
shades as well. I'm using a round brush to
make the watercolor chart, and I will start with the Prussian blue that I
choose for this class. I am not sure yet if I
would be using this color, but I just find them very nice. And I have an idea that
they want to share with you on this class. So keep an eye on that. But you can always choose all
the colors that you want. We are painting in this class, pineapple, and they have
a characteristic color. We should range in the
brownie jello or query colors with green leaves and
some touches of black. And I will be teaching you
how to paint the pineapple. And in the most easy
and quick and easy way, I am just playing as always, with my color because I want
to know them really good. So I know what to
expect or what will be the final results
when I use them in different stages or with
certain amount of water, or when I am using them, it dry. It is always a very fatal recommendable
embedding important that you do do color chart
before you start your paints. Whatever painting you are doing. It is always a good practice
for you as an artist to get, to know your mediums. The ones that you
are working with. And go and get to
know how they react, how they look like when they
are, when they are dry. So you have a more beautiful
experience while painting. So these are, these
are all the colors that I will going to
be using probably. And this is my pineapple
reference for painting. I will see you in
the next video.
4. About The Type of Paper: Let's talk about the paper and the difference
when you are using cold press paper,
watercolor paper. And this is a fine-grain paper. It has a little bit of texture. And the paper is
very rough, is very, can contain a lot
of amount of water. When you paint on it. The watercolors really
blends perfectly, but you can feel a
texture on the paper. So this is the first difference. When you are using cold
press watercolor paper. Here I have another one in it
is hot breast collar pipe. This one is a very
soft, is like silk, silk English teacher and is a very delicate when
do you use it? And the final results
are very smooth, very clean, very sophisticated. When you compare it with the
cold press paper finish, it looks a bit of a difference. It doesn't matter in
which paper you use, just use what you have at hand. And you will see the
difference when we are using the watercolors and
working on our pineapples. These are the
previous that I did when I was planning this class. We are going to
paint together on this class three
types of pineapple. I will see you in
the next video.
5. Studies: Alright, let's see
how our paper, in this case, a big
cold press paper, watercolor paper, works out
with our pineapples status. We are going to be study
the colors and the crayons. So you see how the
magic happen here. And when we are going to
paint the pineapples, do we'll understand
better the technique. I will just divide my
paper in four equal parts. And we are going to be playing with our grains
and our watercolors. So I have my pipit of
fixed and ready to work. Now, I will start in
the first coordinate of the paper using my white gray
and I have other colors. So you can see, when I paint with a white
gradient on my white paper, do not see who I am,
what I am doing. So I want to show you first what is the
thing we are going, we are going to do here using a colored pencil or
crayon pencil like this. I am using Jell-O and you
can see the lines that I am tracing with my roller
onto the paper. Then we are going to be
applying the watercolors. During the class, I will
be using the white crayon. So he's most likely do not
go in to see the lines. So that is why we are
going to do this. Now. I have my crisscross lines, and this is the same
design we're going to use when painting the pineapples. So this is how we do it. We just trace lines in these two different directions,
crisscrossing them. So we get those
shapes of pineapples. Little diamonds are
little squares, or this shape that the pineapple has on the
pillow, on the pill. So you can now see that. You can see the white crayon on the paper when
I trace with it. That is why we are
using colored pencils. You can get the idea
while we're painting, or pineapples or final pieces. Now, I will just
use my watercolors. You see the magic and how it happened using the wet
on wet technique here. So you can get an idea on how the watercolor will
work on the technique. In an RF thing that I want to
show you is how this works. Can you see how the wax
crayon resist the watercolor? And on those spaces where
we paint white or gray in, the color doesn't
show on the paper. So it makes the silhouette or the separation
in our painting. For now you can
not see the shape because I didn't
bank and shape here. I just crisscross the line
so you see what we are going to be doing in or next PDFs and during the
glass while painting the pineapples IN just blending the colors
here, pink and blue. So we have a
beautiful background. This is just a study and this is very fun to do and super
important for you to see. And you don't get confused when we're painting or pineapples. Now, getting a lot closer here, which shows you how
the magic happen. Now, we have the white
lines on the paper. And look at this. This is just a magic. The wax crayon just resist
the corner selling now here, now here now the current
is not going here. And the same will
happen if you use masking fluid or masking ink. To make this pattern
of the pineapple. I will continue painting
and you will see how The lines show up in our bike around using
the green color. Just testing the colors. And this is a cold
press watercolor paper. So you can see already how
it will create this texture. Texture. While these are drying, I will then paint on the other
squares that I have fear using this color combination because I want to decide
if I want the lines from my pineapple white
or if I want to try the combination I have
in the napkin with the reference shape
of a pineapple. And I'm doing the same
crisscross lines. So I get those little
diamond shapes or squares shapes
on the pattern. You can also decide to use
another crayon color and not the one I will let that
to-do for you to decide. And I will also use a brown gray area and
try to do the same idea. So I just want to try here. Color combination
for my pineapple. This is our more than the more resemble the
normal pineapples, which are yellow,
ocher or brown. And then we are going to
be applying watercolors to see how it looks like. And then decide if I want
to use the white effect or the colored crayons
on the painting. So now let's use the
watercolor saying, I am using the most near
colors to a pineapple, starting with the ocher, and then using the
permanent yellow deep and the permanent yellow lemon. So I get an idea of how
they will look like. If I use them to
paint my pineapples. Looks really nice. I must say, but I want
to see it when it dries. I get a better idea. Remember, you can use
your creativity here. It doesn't need to be their real colors of a
pineapple you can use most, the most color you want. And major pineapples
as unique as you like. Now I will try this
combination from the napkin that has more darker lines
in a very light jello. So I get them better
idea and then I can decide what they want to
do with my pineapple. When I paint them. During the class. You can do the same upside. In doing so, you'll
get to play with your colors and then
decide on colored palette. Looks nice as well. But they listen that the white combination is
the more appealing to me. I think I will decide to buy
in with the white corridor, just adding another layer
to see how the color react, how it looks like. And I will let this dry. Now, it is completely dry. I will remove the washy tapes. Then. Certainly I will use the white gradient
for this class. We did a study and
the white point, the other ones doesn't
look like that. But I prefer the white one. I will see you in
the next video.
6. Pineapple Hot Pressed Paper : Time to start painting
or pineapple. But 5th, we are going to be fixing or paper to the surface. We have a frame on
your paper and it looks more time MU different. If you have taken any of my other classes here on
Skillshare to know that I use this technique to make my washy tape more
gentle on my paper. So when I peel off the
washi tape from my pipette, it doesn't damage it. It is pretty easy if you
haven't taken my other classes, then I will explain
it quickly to do. But you can refer to
my other classes. Just take your washi tapes
and place them first on your clean towel
and then do take your washi tapes from
the tower to just paper. And you will see
that the glue from your washi tape will
become more subtle. So it doesn't stick too
much to Egypt paper, but it covers the spaces
that you want to live. What it doesn't
damage your paper. Using the hot press, watercolor papers
for this pineapple. Here you have an overview on the colors that I'm
using during the class. So you can refer to this
list anytime an hour. So you have here a pineapple
silhouette that you can download in the project and resources section
of this class. I will start by tracing my pineapple shape using
the white wax crayon. And as I explained to you, you are not able
to see the lines. Are going to see the magic happen when I apply
the watercolor. So don't be scared. The painting is there. Even though you don't see it. By now. I will trace the leaves and
they are like pointy leaves, to know a pineapple. Now, I will trace the crisscross lines
across my lounge shape. For my pineapple. I know you can not see yet, but we'll see it. Went. I paint it with my watercolors. I didn't wait to see what
colors you use for your lines. And if you use the white as
I'm doing the white cranium, then you will see that
this is a little bit challenging even for
myself and for yourself, because the lines
doesn't show up. I needed to look for
that perspective to see the lines and not make a myth with the separation
of the crisscross line. So we are almost there
with all the lights. And then to start painting with watercolors and create the beautiful nomadic
of our pineapples. I think you can see here
the lines are little bit. When the light is
shining onto the paper. Size, you can make
yourself an idea. I have here my watercolors, and I will add a
drop of water with my little button to
activate the pigments. For the brushes, I
am using two types, one small flat brush
for the leaves, and one more bigger flat brush to paint in the
body of the pineapple. I will start using the
bigger one because we are starting with the
body of my pineapple. And I will start with the ocher yellow on the bottom
part of my pineapple. And look the magic,
how it happened. In using the
technique wet on dry. My paper is dry. This case. I'm just using wet my brush
and the color which was activated with the drop of water that I put my
little bottle at night. You can have a more near
expedience of this magic. I hope your pineapple is
looking separately like this. And you don't need to
mind about the CEJ, the perfect shape, because we are looking for a perfect shape. We're looking for a nice
expedience with the cranium, magic and our watercolors. I clean my brush referred
to using the next color. And I recommend you
to this as well. Color will show more cleaner
and sharp honored paper. Remember, this is my hot press. Watercolor paper. And you can see how smooth
and shiny this appearance is. Now for the last quarter, which is the permanent is yellow lemon summer
liner journal. I then painting the upper
side of my pineapple. And we can just see, look at this and it looks
already like a pineapple. Remember, you can use whatever color combinations you like. But if you're using this same color combination
is also perfect. I can't wait to see it. Injured. Class project. We're going to upload that to
the class project section. For this class, I will
pick up a little bit of the excess of water
on the painting because we are going to be
adding another layer of color and it will make the color
more clean and sharp. Now, to paint or leaves, I went to make things
a little bit sharp. Pointy pen for that again, using my smaller brush, doing this motion up
and down with my brush, not pressing onto the paper, just holding it, lined
it with my hand. And going very light up
and down, up and down. And just following the shape that I did before
with my white crayon. You can see how these
shapes are showing up when I paint with the
green water color. And it doesn't matter
if you go slow or fast. We are looking for the
effect of pointy, leaves. Just to make it more fun. Using fears, the
permanent green. Number one, this is
a later, lighter, lighter colored and also adding some a spot on my pineapple to know when
to buy a pineapple order. When you pick up a
pineapple from this field, they have always
some spots and we are going to resemble
that on the paint. Just a little bit of getting the lighter one you
have with water. And it will make the effect. We're just tracing the
lines a little bit more. And now with my
darker green be DVM, who in this case, I will just add some leaves or another
layer of green color with a darker on top of the fierce layer to make a little bit of
contrast and depth. Or my pineapple leaves. You can do as many as you want. And feel free to use different shapes to make your painting more
fun and beautiful. Going up and down, holding your brush very lightly, not pushing it to the paper, just holding it very slightly
and going up and down, you will get this effect. Now it's time to let
this a little bit try to continue with the next layer.
7. Pineapple Hot Press Paper Details: Now, the pineapple is that i, and I will do a glaze technique, which is just with
my clean brush. I will wet this in
water and I will go through my whole painting so I can soften those hard lines when the watercolors dry before. I can then make it
smoother onto my paper. This is a very useful
technique to make your painting more
soft and beautiful. And you just need your brush and what they're going through
and cleaning your brush. Of course, if you need to
take that x is of watercolor, then I will add a little
bit more of pavement. In some of the
parts of the body. From the pineapple. The colors gets a
little bit highlighted. Just need to do this if
you think it is needed. But if you've considered to pineapple looks
dry away, Perfect. Then just let it at the, this. In just doing this because I want to show you how the
glaze technique works. And I want to add a little bit more off layers
to my pineapple. Going on one direction
with my brush applied in the cleaning, my brush is very important
to this process. And now with my wet brush, I will just move the watercolor
and create a background. Not too dark. Just using my brush
and the excess of pigment that my pineapple
already has on the sides. I will I will do this until I cover the whole paragraph
of the pineapple. And this gives a depth and
a contrast to the painting. Make the pineapple
pop-up the front. If you can see it. You just need to go all the way up with your brush
and a little bit, a little bit of pay. In this case, I am using
the yellow shades. You can live with pineapple
on our white background. That doesn't makes any problem. But as I want to make a frame, then we need to cover
that space with colors. So if Mark the frame when
I remove the washy tapes, you can also use another
color if you prefer. But in this case, I wanted to just add the
more yellowy tones or shades to maintain the
tropical pipes going on. There are going to between
the little leaves. And it is okay if the green water color go a
little bit on the paragraph. So I will just make more
layers with my dad. Watercolor in green
using my dry brush. So the texture shows
up on the leaves. Go gently with the brush
doing those lines. So it gains a little bit more of a structure and contrast, we think are the greens
that to the half injuries. So now my painting is completely dry and as I
told you at the beginning, I am using a fine
liner brush around. In this case, you can use
black if you prefer this. Okay? And I will add some
dots just to make the little marks that the
pineapple has on the Pew. Just adding little
dots on the center of the diamond or squares. The pineapple. This is our adjust these little marks that the
pineapple half and you can maybe do hers or
circles iron just doing, doing dots in this pineapple. So you get the idea. Go through all the
free spaces on the, on the squares and add
two or three little dots. Here. You can see more clearly
and near how I'm doing it. Just placing three dots on all the squares
of the pineapple. Started looking like
a pineapple embedded. Cute. I think. I like how the colors blend. And this not too loose style. Now, I will also add some splashes to make
the painting more fun. Using the green and using a
flat brush in a bamboo stick. Another of the, the technique
that I use on my paintings. You have noticed that
if you have seen all of my classes here on skill, share, this make the painting looks a little bit
more fat. Analyze. So now that my painting
is completely dry, I am having my
signature ended year. When I did this. You
can do the same place. This is your artwork. Nice time to remove the washy
tapes very carefully still. So you don't damage your paper. Very gentle. Enter
paper will be seconds. We are almost done
with the painting. And I hope to like, how do you print it is looking. And they do enjoy the process
and have fun creating it. So you have something
beautiful to add to do correlate to your
collection of paintings. One more to go. And our
painting we'll be done. Here, we have it. Or pineapple painted
with watercolors and white gradient and hot
pressed watercolor paper. And I hope you like this one. And I can't wait to see what
you create on the glass. Pretty excited for the class. I will see you in
the next video.
8. Pineapple Cold Press Paper : I have here my paper
fixed to my surface. And I already painted
the pineapple using the cold pressed
watercolor paper. In this case. You cannot see it, but you will see it when
we apply the watercolors. In a minute. Here you have an overview on the colors that I'm
using during the class. So you can refer to this
list anytime an hour also, do you have here a pineapple
silhouette that you can download in the project
sources session of this class. To start painting our pineapple. It is here. You will see the
magic happened right now. Using the technique wet on dry. And do can see that texture
just showing as I am applying the watercolor over
the silhouette that I already transferred to my
paper using my crayon. And you can see the magic, how the wax resist to the
applied in the colors. It just assisted. And we can see then
the silhouette and the pattern forming as
we paint on the paper. You can also notice
that this paper, the cold pressed, is most, most of a texture, even though is a
fine grain paper. With the, the look is very nice. I like this kind of paper. Because the finally salt always look like a
loose watercolor paint. Blending a little
bit of width, color. To make more contrast. In the chat. I'm just adding some shades
below the pineapple. Now, let's paint the leaves
just in a more shape. It leaves in this pineapple more rounded and pointing
on the, on the points. The tips of the leaves have
different type of leaves, as we did in the
other pineapple. Just to be playful and to
make something different. Using the same technique applied in the field
selected and then add in some darker spaces on the leaves to give them more of a depth and mortar structure. You can use whatever
shades of green you have, or even your campaign, the leaves in another
color, maybe brown, because the pineapple is ripe. Or get creative and
paint a galaxy. Pineapple, that will be nice. Adding the change on the top left is some white
spaces on the leaves. Gave them a structure
and contrast. And they look very nice. And tried to pay
to place leaves. Had ammonias on the paper. To keep a little bit of. Cohesiveness is always
a good thing to do. And just let yourself
be guided by nature. Now I will use my smaller brush to add a little bit of a dry colored on the
pineapple and then just activate it using
a little bit of water. So the watercolor can
move on to the painting. I want to create a leader
with a rough texture. This is why I am using a more
dry colored in this case. So it stays on the paper and
doesn't dilute or dissolve. When I use too much water. Keeping the water low will help you to create a more rough texture,
underpainting. And it will help
your painting to look a little bit
more realistic. This is the second layer color. And now with just water, we are going through
the whole pineapple. Moving the color
with your brush, a little bit of glazing. So the color move and those
hard edges of dry colors, the salt and get more
soft on the paper. We're making a little
bit of background here with the same yellow
from the pineapple, just moving the color away and making kind of a background
in a lighter che
9. Pineapple Cold Press Details and Reveal: All right, let's add some highlights and
details. Or pineapple. And I will start by
adding some splashes using my flat brush
and the bamboo stick. And you've seen in the green, darker color that I
have in my palette. To add a little bit more of fun, too. Cute and beautiful. Pineapple. You can use
other colors if you prefer. I want to use the green one. Now I have a very small brush. This is number 0. Very fine. And I will go through
all the leaves with the darker shade of green
that I have in my palette. To make a little bit of more structure and define
every leaf with this color. Just going around the shape of the leaves with the green tone. Using the technique. Wet on dry. So the color China
more deep and bitmen, it doesn't dilute and
doesn't mix with the leaves. Going. I don't have to leave. And making the shape sharper. Clear. Add in some stems. But being careful that
the whitespace stays on the lips to create a contrast and the reflection of light. You can do the same. And if you are using
another color, just use a darker shade
of the same color. And take your time. This is a very slow process. As you can see, I am not
speeding up this video. This is a real time painting. So you are painting with me? I hope so. And I can't wait to
see your class project in the class project
section for this class, I always enjoy
seeing what to do, how to approach the class. And also do your own creativity and your own way to do things. I also learned from you. When do you share
your creativity and your wisdom and your
beautiful creativity? This is taking a more
defined che, as you can see. And I am very, very happy on how
this is turning out. Now that my leaves are done, I will do the same. But on the pineapple giving a more defined shape
using the ocher, yellow from my palette. And going around the
silhouette of my pineapple. And using the technique
wet on dry as well. It looks more shape
it the pineapple. And if you notice that if you're white lines are not showing up, you can use a white paint and go through the lines
with your white paint. So you're white lines
show up more nicely. Now this bot, using
the same ocher color, these marks of my pineapple. I am really liking very
much how this is looking. Now. And we are animals. We are pineapple. Defining the shape. Make it pop to the
front. As you can see. Now, I will add some splashes
with the ocher, yellow. Now that my splashes are dry. So it may contrast
on the painting. Try to control the water amount so the splashes are
small and not too big. Okay. Here is a time to
remove the washi tapes. And to look at or beautiful painting or
pineapple is looking and green lines here, these are pineapple is done. And I can't wait to
see what you create. And what color do tooth. Remember to always sign up, sign up your paintings. Because this is a
beautiful creation. And I really love these
beautiful pineapple. So I will see you
in the next video.
10. Funky Pineapple: For this pineapple, I will, I went to do something
fun with you. And I am using the cold
press watercolor paper. I have fixed that
on my surface and I already painted pineapples. So you need to do that first. Here you have an overview on the colors that I'm
using during the class. So you can refer to
this list anytime. You have here a pineapple
silhouette that you can download in the project and resources section
of this class. Let's start with our painting. And I have, here are
the colors that I will be using in my palette. And I have activated them
with a little bit of water. And we can start then painting. I will wet my brush. I am using a flat brush. And I will start with
the Prussian blue from the bottom to the
upper side of my pineapple. And by now, you are
very familiar with the technique that we have
learned during the class. The white cranium is from wax, so the color or the water is resistant by the Best
Buy this medium. So the color go through
without painting those pattern that we did, crisscrossing the lines using the ruler and the white crayon. And if you are
using masking ink, that will do the same job. Just you need to remove the masking ink at the end when the whole
painting is dry. So I then applying the second color and you can
see how they mix together. And now we are applied in the last color with this yellow, permanent yellow, lemon,
which is a very light jello. Now we're just going
through the colors, making them mixed together. So we get a real
nice timberland. Using cold press paper. You see that the appearance
get a more loose and it blends perfectly
on the paper. So applying a little
bit of more of colors. And then let this dry. And now we are going to
be painting the leaves. In this case, we're painting
little lines up and down. And getting the round
edges on those leaves. Using the lighter green
first in the first layer. And then using the
darker green to make the shadows and highlights. You can paint the leaf in
any way or shape you want. Joseph, lead to
creativity flows. As always. Just get going around the
lines that I painted with my white pen seen before. This is why I know where
to paint and how to do it. The guideline. Now I let this dry and now
I will apply the shadows on the first layer using
the dot character. This makes beautiful contrast. I call this one the
funky pineapple, because I will be using a beautiful pink
for the background. As you will see in a
minute when we finished the contrasting the lips. And it will give a very
funny and funky appearance to or pineapple. I've pink, orange would be a nice color for these
funky pineapple. And I went to charge you. How would you need to work on the background when
you have a objects? Aren't a painting at the green on those spaces until you feel or
do see is enough. And then you can let it dry and see when it dries if it
needs some more color. I want this to be very
natural and very loose. So I don't know mining too much about the
perfection of the shapes. And it is more fun like that. Now I will add another
layer on the body of the pineapple using
the same colors in a more pigment that way. So using less water. So the color is
stick to my paper. If you add more water than
the colored with desal. And if you want to blend
the colors and Jones, use a clean brush
with water only. If you need more, one more, pay more pigment and just
paint and then just add very deep or less dilute
colored injured patient. As I'm doing here, the watercolor tends to be
more lighter when it dries. This is why you need
to make so many layers until you see the effect
that you really want. And always you can use
your clean brush so your painting stays clean
and chart the colors. In just going through all
the colors with my brush. A little bit of blending using my pigment where I
see it needs more pigment. So the color when it dries look much vibrant and beautiful. And keep their towel
near you so you can use it to remove Sx of water color. Or when you see that
the color is getting a little bit mixed side you can correct those before
it completely dries. Many layers as you wish, because this is the
magic with watercolors, you can always correct and always get the more colored
or less color as you need. Or S2, which shape of the pineapple is
looking really nice. The colors are
getting more vibrant. And now it's time to
paint the background. I then using a
buddy vibrant pink. This is the opera pink. And you can use the
same color or CEJ, or you can use another color. And spinning up a little bit. Because this is a long process and it will be too long for it. I then fit using my
small flat brush. And then I'm changing to the bigger brush to
finish the background. Painting with my
pink on the light, I covered the whole
background of my pineapple, mining the lines
of the pineapple so that the color
doesn't get over it. And then let this dry
a little bit before I add the final touches
to my background. In two layers of pink.
11. Funky Pineapple Details: All right, my pineapple
is completely dry. Now I will add that
the last and more vibrant layer of color, using the same
colors and trying to have the list of water
in my brush as possible. So the color stays very vibrant. This is what I am
looking for here. I apply the blue first and
now I am applied in pink. And last, I will
apply the yellow one. If you are using
the same colors, then you need to see how
prevalent or how light you want your colors to be made
the adjustment as you like. With water, we can
always dilute the color so they can blend easily to get. Now I will continue adding
a last layer on the leaves. Using the darker green I have on my palette to create the contrast and the shadows and the highlights
on the leaves. As you can see, these lips
are rounded on the tip. And it gives a more puffy look to the leaf on the pineapple. Remember we are painting
a Fanta pineapple. So this can be as the
head of the pineapple, need to be like Buffy. Adding the color that we
need more color to be, and trying to keep
white spaces between. So it reflects the light. Make the effect of light
reflecting on the pineapple. And continue until you decide
how much you want to paint. It is always a
measurement when it comes to decide how much color or how less color you
want in a painting. Gibbs. Do the choice of deciding what to
paint to look like. We're almost ready
with the leaves. It looks also like a clown. If you think of a pineapple. This leaves represent like
a crown for the fruit. So that is more the idea I
have with this one. Now. I think this is enough
and I will let this dry and see how it
looks when it dries. This is how my
pineapple look like. I already took off
the washi tapes and here I have a Burdash
watercolor brush pen. I will outline my pineapple. You can use a fine liner if
you don't have this one. This is a brush
Japanese style pen. And it gave a very
beautiful effect because the tip of this brush
is like a brush. And I like the texture that
it gives to the painting. In the color black. I will go around all
the silhouette of my pineapple. And it will pop. It, put it made my
pineapple pop on the page. And look more fun and
playful and funny. If you then want to use black, you can use brown or other
columns that you prefer. Even gold will make a
very nice contrast here. And goes low on the lines. So you don't miss that shape. Of your pineapple. Now, I will make a
close-up so you can see the texture of the brush pen. And you can understand what
they mean because the paper had a texture when you
go through with Ben, than the texture
reflect on the ink. And it looks really nice. I really love and really break. I will now paint some stems and the leaves to make them
look more structure. Chat. We're almost done doing this little outline
from our pineapple. And now we're ready
to start painting. And the little dots on inside of the diamonds are the
squares of all pineapple. And here I am doing and the
head shape with my brush pen. I will make a
close-up so you have a better look of this
little head shapes. Marks on algebra,
injured pineapple. They look really cool and nice. As you can see. It's pretty simple. Just add these little
lines with the brush. I'm perpendicular to the other. And it made the head shape. I really can't wait to
see what you create, what you have to make. Pineapple looks really nice. And to get an interact
with beautiful creations. We're almost done here. And I will add some little details on the background with my
brush pen in black. So it makes a little
bit of contrast. And also, I will
use my white pen. This is a white paint pen to paint some
highlights as well. With these little torches
of light and highlights. We add ready with
our funky pineapple. And I hope to like
this one as well. And I can't wait to
see what you create. How do painted pineapples saying what color
to choose for them? And I will see you
in the next video.
