1. Welcome to the Class: After having a very
hectic and busy day. If you take out some time and
observe a natural sunset, you will find a different
piece and calmness together. You will also observe that it's an amalgamation of
warm colors together. In this class, we
are going to paint five beautiful sunset paintings, which are going to be
absolutely therapeutic and bring a lot of calmness
while painting. We are going to have five
beautiful class projects based on sunsets, in which we are going to combine minimal elements together and form some beautiful paintings. Hey Buddy, myself, Rick Patel. I'm a self taught
independent artist and an interior
designer by profession. I'm someone who loves to
explore different art mediums, and teaching is something
that I love to do the most. My major focus is always
to create classes for intermediate and
beginners who are trying to develop their skills
on a regular basis. You can find most of my
artworks on Instagram. I go by the name
Shiraz Artisans. In this class, we are
going to start by learning about all the art
supplies in detail. You're going to talk about the color palette that
we're going to use. We're going to talk
about the brushes that you will need for
this entire class. All over it is going to be a warm color palette
in which we are going to combine all
the colors together. I'll be teaching you how you
can place your coaster in a fixed position on the desk
so that it doesn't move. Before starting with
all the class projects, we are going to have a beautiful practice session in
which we are going to learn about all the elements and how to paint them in detail. We're going to start by painting a beautiful gradient background, creating some
amazing water body, having some nice
depth and details. Altogether, they're going to
paint some beautiful clouds. There are going to be sellouts, which we are going to paint
using solid black color. We're going to combine
all the elements together and form some
beautiful sunset paintings. The class is absolutely
suited for all level artists. There is no prior
knowledge required. All the class
projects are elegant, easy, and very simple to create. I'm really very happy and excited to share this
class with all of you. It's going to be a
very therapeutic and peaceful journey of creating some beautiful art pieces
together without any delay. Grab your art supplies, join me in this creative
journey and let's get started.
2. Art Supplies: Hey buddy, Before we start, let us talk about all the
art supplies in detail. No need to worry at
all in case you are missing out on any
particular art supply. You can find them very easily in any nearby local art store. Here, I have placed
all my art supplies in a systematic manner so you can observe one of our class
projects very carefully. It's basically a MDF coaster, which is medium
density fiber board on which we are going to
paint using wash colors. But in case you do not
want to paint on coasters, you can definitely use a
watercolor paper as well. I'll show you a
plain coaster here. The size of this
particular coaster is 15 by 15 centimeters. Approximately six by 6. ". No need to worry about the size. You can also experiment with the shapes and sizes as well. Now, in case you do not
want to paint on a coaster, you can use a watercolor
paper of size five. You can convert it
into a square sheet, or you can use it as
a rectangle as well. So these are basically 300
GSM watercolor papers. Gsm basically means thickness of the paper so that we
can apply heavy washes. And we are also going to use a watercolor paper to prepare
our practice sheet as well. You will find
watercolor papers very easily in any nearby
local art store. Now let us talk about the gouache colors
that we are going to use for this
particular class. For the entire class,
we are going to have a beautiful, warm color palette. Let me give you the details. The first one is yellow, co, the second one is burnt sienna, scarlet, and then
we have yellow. These are the four ga color
tubes that we are going to use. No need to we at all. In case you do not have the
exact shade of the color, you can definitely go for any other good alternative as well. The next art supply is
a simple color palette. Make sure that your
color palette is having enough space so that you can take out multiple colors in it, and there should be a good
mixing space as well. Now comes the most
important art supply, which is the brushes that we are going to use for
the entire class. No need to worry at all.
We are going to need only four brushes for
the entire class. The first one is a round
brush of size three. The second one is again a
round brush of size seven. The third one is a
flat brush of size 11. The last one is a flat
brush of size 1 ". These are the four
brushes that you will need for this
particular class. Then next up, we have
a simple pencil, which we can use wherever any reference line or any
rough sketch is required. Then next up, we have
a simple masking tape, which we are going to
use to place it on the back side of the coaster so that we can place
it on the surface. The next art supply is
a simple cup of water. Right now it's a
complete orange water. We are going to take
some clean water. Of course, we can
use this water to clean the brushes and use
water wherever required. Now, apart from the color tubes, we are also going to need
black and white wash colors. I was missing out
on color tubes, that's why I'm going
to use the tubs. The last art supply is a simple tissue paper that you can observe below the brushes, which we are going
to use to remove axis amount of water and color. These are all the art supplies that you will need for
this particular class. No need to worry at
all in case you're missing out on any
particular art supply. You can find it very easily in any nearby local art store. Also, you can use any other
good alternative as well. Now let us move
towards the next part.
3. Understanding the Color Palette: Everybody. Before we start
with the class projects, let us understand the
color palette that we are going to use
for the entire class. If you see all the
class projects, you will observe that
the entire color palette is having warm colors in it. Warm colors generally are very near to red,
orange, and yellow. They create a nice sense of peace and
calmness altogether. If you observe all the
class projects carefully, you will see that we
have a lot of shades which are in red,
yellow, and orange. Apart from that, we have used
black and white to paint some beautiful elements that are creating contrast
with the background. Let us prepare the
color palette. The first color is burnt sienna. I'll just take out some color in the color palette and I'll also show you by applying
it on the watercolor paper, which is placed just on
the right hand side. You can use a simple
art journal or a rough scrap of paper to observe the
application of the color. Then the second color I
have taken is scarlet, which is very near to red. Now let us take some
yellow occur as well. No need to take a lot of color. You can observe, I'm just
taking a little bit of color. We do not want to
waste the resources. Always take color
in required amount. Then the last one is yellow, which is a little bit more
vibrant than the yellow co. Now you can observe we have four colors
in the color palette. Now I'll be taking my
round rush of size seven. We're going to apply
all the four colors to the watercolor
paper one by one. So let us start with medellow. Take a little bit of water from the cup of water to loosen
the color a little bit, and then we can apply it
on the watercolor paper. You can observe the
movement of my brush. It's a simple vertical
movement where I'm trying to apply the color in
a small portion. You can observe the
exact saturation of the color on the
water color paper. Now, in case you might have axis amount of
water in the color, it would definitely look a little bit more
lighter in tone. Now simply clean your brush in some water and this time we're going to take
some yellow occur. Similarly, I'll be just
applying a small patch and you can observe the exact tone of this particular
color as well. Now we are going to
clean the brush again. And now we are going
to take some scarlet, which is very much
near to red color. As you can observe,
I'm just trying to lose the color up by adding
a little bit of water. I have applied a small patch, you can observe the vibrance of the entire color on
the watercolor paper. Now comes the last one
which is burnt sienna. We're going to
apply that as well. Now we are ready with
all the four colors being applied on the
watercolor paper. You can observe its appearance on how it looks on the surface. Now you have an
exact idea of how the combination of warm
colors looks together. These are going to be
the colors that we are going to use the class projects. Apart from these four colors, we are also going to
use black and white, which are going to be colors that are going to create a nice contrast in
the entire painting. Black color, we are going
to use it to create a beautiful sellout for the elements that we
are going to paint. I was out on gas color tubes. I'm using the tubs, you can observe we have both
black and white together. Now in the class project, you can observe
carefully we have painted a beautiful
landscape sellout. Using the white color,
we are going to paint the entire sun and its
reflection effect. I'll be taking a little bit of black color in the
color palette. You can add a little bit
of water to loosen it up. Now, once we have taken
some color in the brush, you can also apply it onto
the watercolor paper. One thing you have to make
sure is you should have a good combination of
color and water together. There shouldn't be axis amount of water in your black color. It will definitely decrease
the saturation of the color. The color will look a
little bit lighter on the entire surface
once it dries. So we are not going to apply white color since the
paper is already white. So there is no point of applying it apart from all the four
colors that we have applied. We are going to use
black and white as well, combining all the
four colors together. Let me also show you how
we are going to make a nice blend of all the
four colors together. Let us move in a sequence from burned sienna
to light yellow. There's a nice application from the first color
to the last color. Here let me show you again. I'll be taking some
burned sienna. We just have applied it
on the bottom portion. Then simply just clean your
brush. Take another color. I have cleaned my round
brush and I'll be taking some scarlet which
is red, near to red. I'll be applying it just
beside burn sienna. Similarly, we are going to
repeat the same process. Just clean your brush and we are going to take
some yellow occur. No need to hurry
at all. Try to do it in a very slow
and steady manner. And it's like a color therapy, only you'll get a nice idea of all the warm colors together. Now we went from
scarlet to occur. Yellow, now comes
the last color, which is mid yellow. It's a very light
shade of yellow color. Now you can observe a
beautiful variation from the darkest tone coming
towards the lighter color. And it's a beautiful shade
of warm colors together. This is the entire color
palette that we are going to use for all
the class projects. In case you're not
having the exact shade. No need to worry at all. You can go for any other
good alternative as well. You can prepare your
entire color palette in this particular manner. You can learn its application
on watercolor paper. Now let us move
towards the next part.
4. Lets Practice the Elements: Everybody, before we start
with the class projects, let us practice all
the elements that you will need in this entire class and how to paint them in detail. This is going to be a
very fun and easy part where you are going to
develop your painting skills. It will help you a lot while creating all the class projects. Here you can observe a
simple masking tape and we're going to apply it on the top portion of
the watercolor paper, creating two different sections in which I'll be teaching you how to paint a beautiful
gradient background for the sky. The second part would be
for water body where we are going to have some
nice depth and details. Let me give you a basic detail about the watercolor paper. It's a 300 GSM five size sheet. You can also use your
regular practicing journal as well or a rough
scrape of paper. Here you can observe a
class project in which we have a beautiful gradient
background in the sky. Similarly, there is another
class project where we also have this beautiful combination
of warm colors together. Also we have a beautiful sun and clouds in the sky, which
we are going to learn. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to take
your 1 " flat brush. Apply a thin coat of water
on the entire surface. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply an even
coat of water on the entire surface and
make sure that there is no space left on
the water color paper. I have taken the first color, which is burned, Siena
in the color palette. Then I have taken the second
color, which is yellow, Co, and the last one, which is going to be scarlet. You can observe, I have taken
all the three colors in the color palette in
a required amount only no need to waste resources. So now I have taken my
flat brush of size 11, and we have taken some good
amount of burnt sienna in it. You can add a little bit of water to just lose the color up, and I have applied it
on the top portion. It's a simple
horizontal movement. We are not going to cover
the entire surface since we want to create a beautiful
gradient background. Now, clean your flat brush. Take some yellow occur in it. Add a little bit of water
to loosen the color up. Apply just below the
burn sienna color Again, you can observe it's a
simple horizontal movement. Now you can observe a line of separation between
both the colors occur, yellow and burn sienna. Just simply clean
your flat brush. Make it completely dry by dabbing it onto
the tissue paper. Apply it in between
both the colors. You'll observe a nice
blend between them. Now we'll be taking
the last color, which is scarlet,
very near to red. Simply apply it below yellow. Occur again, you can observe a line of separation between
both the colors. Simply clean your flabrushaterdab
on tissue paper to make it completely dry and apply it in between
both the colors. So it's a simple horizontal
movement and you can observe how beautifully all the three colors
blend together. This is how we are going
to create a combination of warm colors together and create some beautiful
gradient background. Now let us paint a water body. In the second section, we are going to apply a
thin coat of water. Again, I'm using
my same flat brush of size 1. " no need
to hurry at all. Try to apply an
even coat of water. I'll be taking some yellow ocher and just add a little bit of water in the color palette in case you find that the
color is a little bit stiff and we're going to apply it on the entire
surface This time, We are not going to
create a gradient effect. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply it in a very slow
and steady manner. Make sure that there
is no space left between the watercolor
paper and the masking tape. It will not look nice when
we remove the masking tape. So you can observe,
I have applied a nice even coat of
the entire color. Now we're going to create
a nice depth and detail to the entire color so that we can make it look as if it's
a beautiful water body. So I've taken my round
brush of size three. Take some solid
white color in it. Apply these horizontal strokes in a very random
and natural way. Water waves generally
have a randomness. No need to worry at all. You do not have to paint it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create a combination of horizontal strokes according
to your convenience as well. You can observe that
we have applied the white horizontal
strokes now. Similarly, I have taken
some burn sienna. And I'm applying these
little horizontal strokes in between the white strokes
to create some nice depth. Right now, there is a contrast between the strokes and
the background color. Simply use your flat
brush of size 11. Apply it again on
the entire surface. You will observe that
there is a nice blend between the background color and the strokes that we applied. Now you can observe
in the class project, it will create a nice depth and detail in the entire water body that we are going to create. Now let us paint some
beautiful clouds in the gradient background
that we painted initially. I'll be taking some scarlet in my round rush of size three. You will wonder that
painting the clouds, is going to be a very
easy and simple step. You can observe that I'm just applying these little
horizontal strokes, combining together, having
variation in sizes. As you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural and
random shape in the sky. There isn't any specific or particular form
that you will find. It's not at all necessary
or compulsory that you paint it in the exact same
way I'm painting right now. You can create your
own combination and cluster of clouds together. You can play with the
shape and sizes as well. Just make sure that
you use the tip of your round brush to create these little horizontal strokes. Right now, you can observe
a beautiful contrast between the background color and the clouds that
we have painted. This is basically a basic technique of
painting the clouds. For the class projects,
we are going to have variation in
colors as well. We're going to use white. We are going to
use some scarlet. As you can observe,
we have painted all the clouds and we have
created a beautiful cluster. Now just simply clean your
round brush of size three. Take some solid white color in it and let us paint
a beautiful sun. So it's a very simple
and easy technique. Just make a circular shape using the tip of your round brush.
No need to hurry at all. Make sure that you apply
a nice solid coat of white color and you can observe a beautiful contrast
with the background. Now let us remove
the masking tape. No need to hurry at all. Try to remove the masking
tape in an angle so that you do not end up tearing your
beautiful practice sheet. Once you remove
the masking tape, it's the most satisfying part. You will observe that
there is a nice, crisp edge that we get. Once we remove the
entire masking tape, you can observe
both the elements, the sky and the water body. Now let us practice
all the silos that we're going to use in
all the class projects. I'll be using my round
brush of size seven. In the class project that is placed on the left hand side, you can observe some
mountain bodies and some rock bodies. So it's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to use the
tip of your round brush, create a beautiful outline
of the entire mountain. Once the outline is done, we're going to fill in solid black color in the
inner portion. So no need to hurry at all. Make sure that you apply a
nice coat of black color. There shouldn't be axis
amount of water in it. It will definitely decrease the saturation of
the entire color. As you all know
that mountains also generally have a very
natural and random shape. You can create an outline which is very
random and natural. No need to worry at all. You do not have to paint it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can observe I'm painting a little rock body on the
bottom portion as well. I'm simply using the tip of
my round brush to create this beautiful outline and filling in solid black
color in the inner portion. Now comes the second fill
out for the class project. You can observe we
have a beautiful tree and some landscape area, having some plantation
on the bottom portion, near the horizon line. It's a very simple
and easy technique. Just take some good amount of solid black color
in your round rush. Add a little bit of
water in case you find that your color
is a little bit stiff. On the top portion,
you can apply these little strokes
combining together, forming an outline
for the plants. Then we are going to fill in solid black color in
the inner portion, you can observe I have taken some good amount of
solid black color. I'm just filling it inside the entire portion so that
it becomes a nice fill out. Make sure that you do not have axis amount of water
in your brush. That will definitely decrease the saturation of
the entire color. Now let us paint
a beautiful tree. So as you all know,
again that trees are also having a very
natural and random shape. No need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your
own natural shape of the entire tree as well. Let us create the
entire bush first. I'm just using the tip
of my round brush, creating these little strokes, which is representing the
leaves on the outline. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner, creating a beautiful bushy tree. You can use the tip of your round brush to create
these little thin leaves. In the inner portion, it's a
complete solid black color. We are almost done
with the entire tree. Now let us paint its trunk. You just have to use the
tip of your round brush. Carefully connect it with the entire landscape that we have painted on the
bottom portion. Now let us paint the mountains and a lake body that we have. In this particular
class project, I'll be using my round
brush of size seven. Again, use the tip of your
round brush to create a beautiful outline for
the entire mountain body. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. You can create your
own natural outline for the mountain as well. Now using the same tip
of your round brush. Just make these little strokes, leaving some space
for the entire lake. Again, your lake can also have a very natural and random shape. You just have to leave some
white space in between. Now leaving the white space, we are going to cover
the entire surface with solid black color. You can add a little
bit of water in the color palette
in case you find that your color is
a little bit stiff. But make sure that
you do not apply axis amount of water
in solid black color. That will decrease the
saturation of the entire color. Your brush tip will be
always very thin and it will very helpful for you to
paint in difficult areas. This is how you can paint a beautiful mountain
body and a lake. In between, practicing
all these elements will help you a lot to develop your painting
skills and it will also increase your level of
confidence while painting. This can also help you to keep a record of your
artwork as well. Now comes another class
project where we have the beautiful tree
trunk with a lot of branches and it's a very
interesting part to paint. I'll be taking my round
brush of size seven again, take a little bit of water in the color palette to lose
the solid black color. Now you just have to use the
tip of your round brush. Create these beautiful
vertical strokes. You can have a nice
angle in them as well. You can observe that I'm just connecting all the
strokes together. In the class project, you can observe that all
the branches are combining with one
single tree trunk which is a little bit thicker. So you can apply multiple
vertical strokes to make it a little bit thicker, which is the main tree trunk. Wherever you want to
paint thinner branches, just apply least pressure on the entire brush so that you
can get thinner strokes. It's a very easy and
simple step to paint these beautiful tree trunk
and branches together. You just need a lot
of patience and try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. You can create your
own combination of the branches together. Also, no need to
worry about painting it in the exact same
way I have painted. Right now. It's a
natural element, so it can have randomness. Now let us add a little
bit of plantation. In the bottom portion, I'll be just using my round
brush of size seven. Again, take some solid
black color in it. Apply these little thin
strokes combining together, forming a beautiful outline
for the entire plantation. You can observe all the
sell outs are ready. This is how we are going to paint them in the
class projects. Now at the end, I'll be
adding some labels to the entire practice
sheet so that you can get an exact idea of
what we have painted. The entire practice sheet will
help you a lot to develop your painting skills and it will also enhance your
confidence while painting. Before starting with
all the class projects, this practice sheet
will give you a prior knowledge of
all the elements. Now let us move
towards the next part.
5. Lets Place the Coaster: Everybody, now let us learn
how to place your coaster in a fixed position so that we can paint in
a comfortable manner. Here I have my MDF coaster, which is basically a
medium density fiberboard. You can also observe the
class project right now. The entire MDF is a plain MDF, which is not having
any painting. This is a simple masking tape. They are going to use
this masking tape and make it into a
double sided tape. Just take a simple
piece of masking tape, overlap it, then we get the
stickiness on both sides. Now simply apply the entire
piece on the surface. In case you're using a coaster, you will require this
particular technique. In case you're using
a watercolor paper, you can simply just site tape
it using the masking tape, I've taken another piece, I'll place it on another corner. Similarly, we'll be taking a few more pieces and applying
it on the entire coaster. It's a simple technique,
you just have to overlap the tape and make
it sticky on both sides. I'll just take the last
piece of the masking tape. We have applied four pieces of the masking tape
on four corners. Simply flip the entire coaster and place it according to your convenience on the surface. Apply some pressure
using your fingers, you will observe that the
coaster will stick to the entire surface and it will not move while
you're painting, it will also get easily
detached from the surface. Once we are done painting, this is how you have
to place the coaster. Now let us move
towards the next part.
6. Painting 1 - Tree Sunset: Hey buddy, you're
most welcome to the first painting
which is a tree sunset. As you can observe,
I'm ready with my coaster and all the
art supplies nearby. I'm going to take my 1 " flat brush and we're
going to apply a thin coat of water on the entire surface
of the coaster. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply an
even coat of water. You can observe the
movement of my flat brush. This is basically known
as a wet on wet technique in which we apply a thin
coat of water initially, so that the color can
spread and merge in a very nice way and your
brush can move smoothly. We are going to apply
the first color, which is going to be burnt
sienna on the topmost portion. Then we are going to
use some yellow occur. Then the last color
would be scarlet. You can always take out colors according to
the requirement. No need to take axis
amount of color. Now let us paint a beautiful
gradient background. I'll be taking my flat
brush of size 11, and I have taken some good
amount of burnt sienna in it. So we're going to
start by applying it. From the topmost portion, you can observe a simple horizontal movement
of my flat brush, and I'm slowly coming
towards the bottom area. We're not going to cover the entire surface with
burned sienna. Just the above portion. In case you find that there is axis amount of water
in your brush, you can simply dab
it on tissue paper so that axis amount of
water will be removed. Also, make sure that you take a good consistency of the color so that it looks a bit more saturated on the entire surface. You can apply as many as
horizontal strokes until you find that the color
is applied in a very smooth and
perfect manner. Now let us take
the second color, which is going to be yellow. Occur clean your flat brush in water and dab it
on tissue paper. Take some good amount
of yellow occur, color in it and apply
it just below the burn. N now slowly where you find the line of separation
between both the colors. You can apply these
horizontal strokes and slowly move towards
the above part, blending both the
colors together. The more horizontal strokes you apply between
both the colors, the better blend you'll
get between them. Now, I'll take some good amount of scarlet in the flat brush, and we are going to apply
it on the bottom portion. In case you find that your
color is a little bit stiff, you can add a little bit of
water in the color palette. Now you can also
observe a line of separation between yellow
occur and scarlet. We are going to
clean the flat brush and dab it onto
the tissue paper, make it a little bit dry. Now simply, we are
going to apply it in between both the colors. Apply as many as
horizontal strokes as you can to blend both the colors
together in a better way. Now, you can slowly observe a nice blend between
all the three colors. Let the background
dry for a while and let's paint some beautiful
clouds in the background. I've taken my round
brush of size three. Take some good amount
of scarlet in it. Now using the tip
of the round brush, we are going to paint
some beautiful clouds. We're going to paint the clouds in between the entire coaster. We are not going to paint it on the bottom portion or
the topmost portion, let the clouds flow in
the middle portion where we have the yellow
occur portion. As you can observe,
the clouds create a beautiful contrast
with the background. As you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural and
random shape in the sky. There isn't any specific
way of painting them. You can create your own shapes
and composition as well. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to use the
tip of your round brush. Create these little horizontal strokes
combining together, forming some natural shapes. You can create a cluster of two to three horizontal
strokes together as well. Right now you can observe
I'm just simply adding these little horizontal strokes coming towards the
bottom portion. And we have created
a nice cluster of clouds on the left hand side. I'll be slowly adding few more strokes on the
topmost portion as well. You can also observe
that I'm combining all the horizontal strokes
together in case you're not that much confident enough to paint the clouds directly to your final coaster
and you do not want to spoil your
beautiful background. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. It will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and your chances of making
mistakes will be less. Now using the same technique, I'll be using the tip
of my round brush. Adding few more clouds
on the topmost portion, coming towards the
right hand area. They are slowly vanishing. I'm just simply decreasing the size of the
horizontal strokes. In case you want to
make thinner strokes, apply least pressure on the brush so that you
can get thinner strokes. Now to create a beautiful
contrast a little bit more, you can take a little bit of saturated scarlet color
from the color palette. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Try to blend the clouds with
the background as well. Slowly. You can observe
that the clouds are forming a very natural
and random shape. You don't have to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I
have painted right now. You can create your own
composition of the clouds. You can decide the position of the clouds in the
entire scenery as well. I've taken some more
saturated color from the color palette and I'll be applying it in between the clouds so that it can
create a beautiful contrast. You must have observed
that while doing the entire step of
painting all the clouds, I have used the tip of my
round brush carefully. Now let us paint
a beautiful sill out of the entire scenery. I have taken my round
brush of size seven, this time take some
good amount of solid black color on the bottom portion where we have scarlet in the background, Just add a simple
horizontal line. You can add a little bit of water in the color
palette in case you want to loosen the color. Now, below the horizon line that we have created right now, we are going to
have a small lake. I'll be using my round
brush of size three. Again, you can just add these
little horizontal strokes. We are creating a outline
basically for the entire lake. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Use the tip of your
round brush to create these variation in the lines
that I'm creating right now. As you can observe,
we have created a nice section for
the entire lake. Now the remaining portion is going to be completely
solid black. Take some good amount of solid black color in
the round brush of size seven and apply it on the entire surface apart from the outline that we
created right now. Make sure that you do not enter inside the shape that we
have created right now. Use the tip of your round brush. Wherever you have to paint in smaller portion apart
from the lake area, the entire surface is
going to be black. You can observe, I'm simply applying it on the
entire surface. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Make sure that there is no space left on the entire coaster. In case you find that your
color is a little bit stiff, you can add a little
bit of water. But make sure that you do not
add axis amount of water. In case your brush is having
axis amount of water, it will definitely decrease the saturation of
the black color. We do not want that to happen. It will not look nice
once it dries up. You can observe
I'm using the tip of my round brush to
paint in difficult areas. We have slowly covered
the entire surface. There's a little bit of portion left on the left hand portion. I'll cover that up as well
using solid black color. Again, you can observe I'm
just simply using the tip of my round brush to paint in smaller areas. We
are almost done. The black portion basically replicates the
landscape area and the red portion which is basically represents
the lake area. Now to enhance it a little bit, I'll be using my round brush of size three and you can simply add these little
horizontal lines near the surface of the lake. This basically makes it a little bit more in detail and depth. Now let us add some plantation just above the horizon line. Using the round
brush of size seven, I've taken some good amount of solid black color in it and we're going to create a
nice plantation outline. You just have to use the
tip of your round brush. Create these little strokes
combining together. Again, it's a very natural
and random shape forming. Only since plantations are also having a very
natural and random shape. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. You can observe carefully
the way I'm using my round brush and the
movement of my hand in case you are not that much confident enough to
paint the plantations directly to your final
painting and you do not want to spoil your
beautiful background. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrap of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. It will help you a lot to develop some confidence
while painting, your chances of making
mistakes will be very less. Now, once we are done with the outline for the
entire plantation, we are just filling
in solid black color. And you can observe it's a similar movement of the
brush that I'm making. And we have to
just match it with the landscape area that we
painted in the below portion. Now you can observe
that we are done with the element
which is a lake, beautiful lake which
is in scarlet color. Then we have the landscape area which is completely black. And then we have a beautiful
sell out of the plantations, just above the horizon line. Using your round
brush of size three, you can just add these
little leaves on the topmost portion of
the entire plantation. Now let us paint
a beautiful tree, which is going to be a
very amazing element for the entire painting. I'll be using my round
brush of size seven, take some good amount of
solid black color in it. We are going to
start by creating the entire bush of
the entire tree. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to create the outline using the
tip of your round brush. Creating these little
strokes combining together. I'll be telling you
the same thing again, as you all know that
trees are also very natural and they do not
have a specific shape. It is absolutely
fine if you create your own shape and composition for the entire tree as well. So right now you can
observe we have created a beautiful outline
for the entire bush, having this random little
strokes on the outer area. Now we are going to fill in
solid black color inside. Once you are done and satisfied
with the outline area, you can take a good amount
of solid black color. And you can observe the
movement of my round brush. It's a simple
vertical movement and we are just filling
in solid black color. Now once you are done applying solid black color in
the entire portion, you will observe a nice
formation of the entire tree. Now using our round
brush of size three, we can just enhance the outer
area a little bit more. You just have to take
some good amount of solid black color in your
round brush of size three. You can simply use the tip of your brush and tap it
on the outer surface, creating these beautiful leaves, which are spreading in a
very natural and random way. It is not at all necessary
or compulsory that you paint it in the exact same
way I'm painting right now. No need to worry about that. You can create your
own natural shapes and composition of
the tree as well. You can decide the position
of the tree as well. You can just simply follow the steps for painting the
entire sell out for the tree. You can observe that
I'm using the tip of this particular round
brush to create the outline which looks a
little bit more aesthetic. We are almost done painting
the entire bush of the tree in case you do not want to paint directly onto your
final coaster. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. It will help you to
develop some confidence and your chances of making
mistakes will be very less. Now let us paint a
beautiful trunk, which is going to be
connected with the tree bush and the plantation that we
painted on the bottom area, I'll be taking my round
brush of size three. Take some good amount
of solid black color in it and just attach
these little strokes, which are going to be connected
to one simple tree trunk. You can apply more pressure
where you want to have thick branches and less pressure where you want to have
thinner branches. Just connect the
entire bush with the lower plantations
which we painted. Initially, we will observe this beautiful tree
trunk formation. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Also, in case you
want to practice the brush strokes of creating these little branches on a rough scrap of
paper initially, and then come towards
your final painting. That is also absolutely fine. Now you can observe
how beautiful the entire tree looks with the background
which we have painted, which looks really
amazing with the clouds. And it's a gradient
effect which is formed using some beautiful,
warm colors together. Now we are left with
some minimal elements which are going to be
really amazing to paint. There are going to be
these little lights which are surrounded
near the entire lake. I'll be taking my round
brush of size three. I've taken some
mid yellow in it. From the color palette, you just have to create these little dots
around the entire lake. I'm creating these little dots around the outline
of the entire lake. You just have to tap your brush. Use the tip of your
round brush so that you can get
these little dots. These little dots basically replicate some lights
around the entire leg. And it also enhances the
entire beauty of the lake. It also makes the
entire painting look a little bit more
aesthetic and attractive. Now let us paint
a beautiful sun, which is the last element
of the entire painting. I'll be taking my round
brush of size three. Take some good amount of
solid white color in it. You can decide the position of the sun according to your
convenience as well. It is absolutely fine. I have placed it just
beside the tree, near the horizon line. We are done with the
entire painting. Let me take you a little
bit closer so that you can observe all
the details carefully. I hope that you enjoyed this particular painting and
got to learn something new. Now let us move towards
the next painting.
7. Painting 2 - Lake Sunset: Everybody, you're most welcome
to the second painting, which is a Lake, Sunset. As you can observe,
I'm ready with my coaster and all the
art supplies nearby. We are going to
start by applying a thin coat of water
on the entire coaster. I'll be simply using
my flat brush of size 1. " no need
to hurry at all. Try to apply an even coat of water on the entire
surface of the coaster. Make sure that there is no space left on the entire coaster. This is basically known as
a wet on wet technique, in which we apply a thin
coat of water initially. So that the colors can blend in a nice way and your brush
can move smoothly on it. Let us start with
the first color, which is burnt sienna. I'll be taking my
flat brush of size 11 from the color palette. Take some good amount
of color in it. Make sure that you do not
have axis amount of water. We are going to apply it
from the top portion. You can simply observe the
movement of my flat brush. It's a simple
horizontal movement. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. We're not going to
cover the entire coaster using burnt sienna. We're going to create a
beautiful gradient effect. That's why we have applied
it on the topmost portion. Only you can observe we have applied a nice
coat of burn sienna. Now we're going to
take some yellow occur in the color palette. Now simply clean your
flat brush of size 11. Again, take some good amount
of yellow occur color in it and apply just
below the burn sienna. You will observe a thin line of suppression between both
the colors right now. Now slowly you can move
towards the above portion, blending both the
colors together. And the more horizontal
strokes you will apply, the better blend you'll get
between both the colors. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner, and you can observe a
beautiful gradient effect between both the colors. Now we are going to
use some scarlet. I'll be taking it in the
color palette again, using the same flat
brush of size 11. Clean it in water, dab
it on tissue paper, take some good amount
of scarlet in it, and apply it from
the bottom portion. Again, it's a simple
horizontal movement. You can observe the
movement of my flat brush. In case you find that your
color is a little bit stiff, you can add a little
bit of water in it. Now, slowly, I'm moving towards the yellow ocher color that
we have applied Right now, you can observe a
line of separation. Simply clean your flat brush
in water it on tissue paper, make it a little bit dry
and blend both the colors together by applying these horizontal strokes
in between them. The more horizontal
strokes you will apply, the better blend you'll get
between both the colors. You can observe a
nice gradient effect between all the three
colors which are warm. Now we'll be painting
some beautiful clouds in the background. I'll be taking some scarlet
and white together. You can add a little bit
of solid white color in scarlet to get it a
little bit lighter in tone. And it is absolutely
fine if you want to use the scarlet color directly
so it's very near to red. I'll be using my
round brush of size three to paint some beautiful
clouds in the background. It's a very simple
and easy step. You just have to make these little horizontal
strokes which are going to combine together and they can have variation
in sizes as well. As you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural
and random shape. There isn't any specific
way of painting them. You can create your
own natural shapes and composition as well. You can decide the position. You can create a cluster of two to three horizontal
strokes as well. Or in case you want
to paint it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. That is also absolutely fine. You can observe the way I'm using my round brush size three. Wherever you want to create
thick horizontal strokes, you can just apply a little bit pressure on the
brush as you move towards the outer
area or wherever you want to have thinner
horizontal strokes, you can apply least
pressure on the brush. In case you find
that your color is a little bit stiff in
the color palette, you can just add a little bit
of water to loosen it up. You can see that I have created a nice cluster of clouds
on the right hand side. Now slowly I'm moving towards
the left hand portion. And the size of the horizontal strokes
that I'm making right now, I'm just simply trying
to decrease them. As I told you that it's a very natural and random way of painting the clouds
in the entire sky. You can also observe
that I'm trying to have variation in colors by adding a little bit of solid
white color in it as well. You can experiment according
to your convenience as well, in case you want to use only
the same saturated color. That is also absolutely fine in case you are
not that much confident enough to paint the clouds directly to your background and you do not want to spoil the
beautiful gradient effect. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially. And then you can come
towards your final painting. So that you can develop some good confidence of painting
all the clouds together, the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. You can see that I've added some cluster of clouds on
the topmost portion as well, creating some little horizontal strokes combining together. You can see that I have painted the clouds in the
middle portion of the entire coaster where we have applied ocher yellow color. The clouds that we have painted are in scarlet,
very near to red. It creates a beautiful contrast with the background as well. This is how you can play with the colors and
experiment as well. We are almost done
painting the clouds. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Now we are going to paint
the landscape area, which is going to be
on the bottom portion. I'll be taking my round
brush of size 11. Take some good amount of
solid black color in it, and add a little bit
of water in case you find that the color
is a little bit stiff. But make sure that you do not have axis amount of water in it. In case you have axis amount
of water in your brush, just dab it on tissue paper
to remove axis amount of water because that will decrease the saturation of
solid black color. You can observe that using
the tip of my round brush, I just created a beautiful
outline which is having some amazing
mountains and rock bodies. It's basically a hilly area. Now, just on the bottom portion, we are going to have
a beautiful lake. I'll be taking my round
brush of size three again. Take some good amount of solid black color
in it and we're going to create a beautiful
outline for the entire lake. You can observe that
I'm using the tip of my round brush to paint
these little thin strokes. Wherever you want to paint a thin outline using black
color or any other color, you just have to use
the tip of the brush, which is very pointed,
so that you can strokes as you can observe
that we have created a beautiful outline
for the entire lake. Now similarly, we
are going to have a little bit of water
body just beside that, you can create another outline forming some space for the lake. Now we are done with
the entire outline. We are going to fill
in solid black color in the remaining portion. It's a very simple
and easy step. You just have to take
some good amount of solid black color, add a little bit of water
to it to loosen the color. In case you find that you have taken axis amount of water, you can simply dab your brush to the tissue paper so that axis amount of water
will be removed. Now you can observe the movement of my round brush of size seven. I'm just trying to fill in solid black color in
the entire portion. Now make sure that you do not apply solid black color inside the lake area that
we have left with the outline that is going
to be scarlet only. You just have to apply the
color in the surrounding area. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner and make sure that there is no space left on the entire coaster where we are applying this
solid black color in case you find it a little bit
difficult to create this particular sell out on the
final coaster directly, and you do not want to spoil
your beautiful background. You can practice it on a rough
scrape of paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. You can also do a lot of
creativity with the sell out of the entire mountain
area having rock bodies. You can play with the
shape of the lake as well. Now, in order to make the lake look a little bit more
attractive and aesthetic, we're going to add
some little lights in the surrounding area. I'll be taking some
yellow, mid yellow, basically in the color palette, we are going to take a
round brush of size three. And simply, you just have to use the tip of your round brush to add these little dots around the outline
of the entire lake. These dots can have a combination of three
to four dots together. You just have to apply
it in a very random way, only there isn't any
specific way of doing this. You can just create a beautiful combination of
three to four dots or one to two dots together
and you just have to apply it around the outline
of the entire lake. I'm just simply
tapping the brush. You will find that
these little dots create a beautiful contrast with the solid black background. While you're applying
these beautiful dots, no need to hurry at all. Try to create a
beautiful composition of the dots together. Similarly, I'll be adding these little dots on the smaller portion of
the entire lake as well. You can spread them on the
entire bottom portion. If you want to have
even smaller dots, just apply pressure
on the brush. The tip of the brush is
generally very pointed, so you can get
these little dots. I hope that you've
got an exact idea of creating these
beautiful yellow dots, which is basically replicating some beautiful lights on the entire landscape area
in the bottom portion. Now using our round
brush of size seven, we're going to add
some beautiful leaves on the topmost portion, which is a part of a bushy tree which is coming
in the entire scenery. We are not going to
paint an entire tree, we are just going to paint its bushes that are coming
in the entire scenery. The bushes are going
to be a little bit more on the top left corner. We are just going to decrease it as we move towards
the right hand portion. You can observe that
I'm using the tip of my round brush to create
these little strokes. Combining together,
forming a beautiful bush. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Create some little strokes
on the outer area, forming some beautiful
leaves as well. In case you find that your
color is a little bit stiff, you can add a little
bit of water in it to loosen the
solid black color. But make sure that you do not have axis amount of water in it that will definitely decrease the saturation
of the color. You can observe that
we have created a beautiful outline for the plantation in
the topmost portion, which are basically the
bushes of an entire tree. Once we are done creating
the entire outline, we are going to fill
in solid black color in the entire portion. Take some good amount
of solid black color, get a good composition of
water and color together. In case you find
that your brush is having axis amount of
water in the brush, just dab it onto
the tissue paper so that axis amount of
water will be removed. Right now, you can
observe that I'm moving my brush in a
similar direction, which is basically a vertical movement to apply the color. And I'm trying to fill
in solid black color in the entire portion. No
need to hurry at all. Paint it in a very slow
and steady manner. Make sure that you do not leave any space on
the entire coaster. It will not look
nice once a dry ser. Now using the tip
of the round brush, I'm just creating
some beautiful leaves that are coming
out of the bushes. And it creates a nice contrast with the background as well. And makes the entire bush look a little bit more
attractive and aesthetic. So you can observe a
beautiful combination of the landscape area and the bushes that we painted
on the top portion, the lake that we have created
and the clouds together. These are minimal elements combining together to
form a beautiful scenery. And the warm colors
in the background, which is forming a beautiful gradient effect of
the entire sky, enhances the entire
painting altogether. Now comes the last element
of the entire painting, which is a beautiful sun. You just have to use your
round brush of size three. Take some good amount of solid white color
in it and paint a circular shape just above the entire landscape area that we have painted
on the bottom portion, using the same round brush, you can just enhance the outline of the mountains
that we have painted. You can just apply these
little strokes near the sun, which is enhancing the
entire landscape area. We are done with the
entire painting. Let me take you a little
bit closer so that you can observe all
the details carefully. I hope that you enjoyed creating this
particular painting. Now let us move towards
the next painting.
8. Painting 3 - The Branches: Everybody, you're most welcome
to the third painting, which is the branches. As you can observe,
I'm ready with my coaster and all the
art supplies nearby. We are going to
start by applying a simple horizontal line
on the entire coaster, which is basically
going to spread the sky area and the water body that we
are going to paint. Let us take some good amount of scarlet in the color
palette initially, and some good amount
of yellow occur. In case you find that your color is finished from
the color palette, take it in an
optimum amount only, no need to waste the resources. I'll be taking my
flat brush of size 1 " and we're going to
paint the sky area first. Just simply apply a thin coat of water on the entire surface. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply an even coat
on the entire surface and make sure that there is no space left on
the entire coaster. This is basically known as
a wet on wet technique, in which we apply a thin
coat of water initially, so that the colors
can blend together in a nice way and your brush can move smoothly
on the entire surface. I'll be taking my flat
brush of size 11, and we are going to take
some scarlet in it, which is very near to red. We are going to apply a
simple horizontal stroke, just above the horizon line and slowly move towards
the above portion. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply a good
saturated amount of color on the entire surface. In case you have excess
amount of water in the brush, just simply dab it
onto the tissue paper. The more horizontal
strokes you apply, the better blend
of colors and the better application of the
color on the surface you get. You can observe that I have not covered it completely
with scarlet. I have just applied it on
the three fourth portion. Now just clean your
flat brush of size 11. Take some good amount
of yellow occur in it. And slowly apply it from the top portion and move
towards the bottom part. Take some good amount of color. In case you find that there is axis amount of color
in your brush, just dab it on tissue paper. Now, simply clean the
entire flat brush. Make it dry by dabbing it
onto the tissue paper. Now we are going to blend
both the colors together. The more horizontal strokes
you apply between the colors, the better blend you
get in between them. This is a very simple
and basic technique of creating a noise
gradient effect. Now we can observe a
beautiful transition from scarlet to yellow occur. Now let us paint the
water body as well, which is the part of
the background as well. Similarly, I'll be applying
a thin coat of water using my flat brush of size 1 " just below the
horizon line this time. And make sure that there is no space left in
the entire coaster. Now we'll be taking
our flat brush of size 11 and take some good amount
of yellow ocher color in it. Use the tip of your flat
brush to apply the color just below the horizon line and slowly cover
the entire surface. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Make sure that there
is no space left. In case you find that there is axis amount of water
in your brush, simply dab it on tissue paper so that axis amount of
water will be removed. We are done with the background, but we have to create
some beautiful depth and details in the
entire water body. I'll be taking my
round brush of size three and we have taken some good amount
of scarlet in it, which is very near to red. And we're going to apply these little horizontal strokes
in between the yellow co, color that we applied in the background
for the water body. You just have to apply these horizontal strokes in
a random and natural way. There isn't any specific
way of painting them. No need to worry
about painting it in exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your own
natural composition of the horizontal
strokes as well. Now similarly we
are going to add some solid white color
strokes as well. Just clean your round
brush of size three. Take some good amount of
solid white color in it and apply it in between
the scarlet color as well. This time we are going
to have a little bit less horizontal strokes now, using the same flat
brush of size 11, which is completely dry. Make it completely dry by dabbing it onto
the tissue paper, make it a little bit clean also, then you have to
apply it again on the entire water body
that we painted. We will observe a nice blend of all the horizontal
strokes that we applied and the background
color together. This is how we can paint
a beautiful water body. Now let us paint some beautiful
clouds in the sky area. I'll be taking my round
brush of size three. Take some good amount of
solid white color in it. So let us start from
the left hand portion. You just have to make these
little horizontal strokes having difference in
sizes and shapes. And you just have to
combine them together to form a beautiful cluster
of clouds together. As you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural and
random shape in the sky, there isn't any specific
way of painting them. Create your own natural shapes. You can play with
the composition. You can play with
the shape and size. You can also decide the
position of the clouds as well in case you want to paint it in the exact same
way I'm painting right now. That is also absolutely fine. You can observe that
these horizontal strokes are having variation
in thickness as well. It's a very simple and easy
technique of using the brush. Where you want to
have thinner strokes, you just have to apply least
pressure on the brush. And where you want to
have thicker strokes, just apply a little bit of
pressure on your brush. Make sure that you
use the tip of your arm brush so that you can paint the clouds
in a better way, in case you are not that much confident enough to paint
the clouds directly to your final coaster
and you do not want to spoil your beautiful
gradient background. You can simply practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. This will help you a lot to develop some more
confidence while painting, and your chances of making
mistakes will be very less. You can observe a
beautiful cluster of clouds on the
left hand portion. Similarly, I have created a nice cluster of clouds on
the right hand side as well. It's a very satisfying process
of painting the clouds. Also, you can just simply clean your round brush of
size three in water, Make it a little bit dry. Try to have a little
bit of water in it and you can blend it with
the background as well. The clouds will become
a little bit more smoother and you
won't be able to see any rough patch
in it in case you want to play with the shapes
and the size of the clouds. That is also absolutely fine. You can create a
beautiful composition of the clouds in the sky area. You can play with a cluster
of two to three clouds also. That is also absolutely fine. Just make sure that while
you're painting the clouds, you should not have axis amount of water in your round brush. That will definitely spoil
the entire background. Don't forget to dab it
onto the tissue paper. You can observe that we are done painting all the clouds in the sky area and it creates a beautiful contrast
with the background. Now let us paint some
beautiful plantation in the landscape area, which is going to be
on the bottom portion. I'll be using my
round brush of size seven and we are going to take some good amount of
solid black color in it. Now using the tip
of the round brush, you are just going to
combine these little strokes together and form a
beautiful outline for the entire plantation, which is on the bottom portion. There is a nice variation
happening here. It is not at all necessary or compulsory that
you paint it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now or you get the exact outline
I'm having right now. It is absolutely fine. You can play with the
composition of the plantations. You just have to simply follow the steps
of creating them. Just observe the movement
of my round brush. Now, similarly, I'll be moving towards the right
hand portion slowly. I'm just using the tip of
my round brush to create these little outlines which are basically
replicating the leaves, or we can say bushy plantations
on the bottom portion. Also, you can observe
a nice variation while we are creating
the entire outline area. Take some good amount
of solid black color. In case you find that your
color is a little bit stiff, you can add some amount
of water to loosen it up. In case you find that you
have axis amount of water, just dab your brush
to the tissue paper so that axis amount of
water will be removed. Now once we are done with the entire outline of the plantation, in
the bottom portion, you're going to fill
in solid black color, which is going to provide us a nice fill out of the
entire landscape area. No need to hurry at
all. Just observe the movement of the round brush. It's a simple vertical movement. You can observe the direction in which I'm moving my brush. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Also, make sure that
you do not have excess amount of
water in your brush. That will definitely
decrease the saturation of the solid black
color and it will not look nice once it dries up. You can observe that we
are almost done applying solid black color in the
entire plantation area. This is how we create
a beautiful sill out. Now to add a little
bit more aesthetic, we can just add a little bit of bush on the
right hand portion. The technique is
absolutely same. Use the tip of your
round brush to add these little strokes
together and fill in solid black
color inside. You can observe a
nice contrast between the plants and the background
that we have created. Now let us paint some beautiful branches
and a tree trunk, which is going to be
the main element. You just have to take some good amount of
solid black color. A good composition of
water and color together. Now we are starting from the topmost portion
and we are going to connect the entire branch with the plants that we have
painted on the bottom area. While we are painting
the branches, no need to hurry at all. You just have to take your time, have a lot of patience while
creating them so that we can get some good composition
of the branches together. Once we combine all
the branches together, you can observe that we have a main tree trunk which
is very much vertical. You can make it a
little bit thicker. I'll be connecting
one more branch from the topmost portion. We have to use the tip of the round brush to create
some nice variation. Now, in case you have observed
the branches of a tree, you will observe that there
is a main trunk which is very thick and it is
from the ground level. As we move towards the
top part of the tree, they scatter into
smaller branches. It's a very simple and easy
technique to paint them. Wherever you want to
have thinner branches, just use the tip of your round brush and apply
least pressure on it. Wherever you want to paint a thicker branch or
a thick tree trunk, just apply a little
bit more pressure on the round brush so that you
can get a thicker surface. In case you want to paint it
a little bit more thicker, you can apply a second
player or a second stroke, which will increase the size
of the entire tree trunk. Now, once we paint the branches, you can just inter, link them. You can connect smaller branches
to the bigger branches, creating some
beautiful composition. And it is not at all necessary
or compulsory that you paint it in the exact same
way I'm painting right now. You can create your own
composition of the branches. You can play with the shape, you can play with
the sizes as well. We have a combination of branches on the
left hand portion. Similarly, I'll be adding few branches and a tree trunk on the right hand side
as well to create some more aesthetics to
the entire painting. These steps and
method of painting, it is exactly the same. Now you can observe we have a beautiful sill out of
the entire tree trunk. Now let us paint a beautiful
sun in the background. Take your round brush of size three and take some good amount of solid white color in it. Just make a circular shape
just above the water body, and you will observe a nice sun in contrast with the
entire background. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Use the tip of your brush
to paint in smaller area. Now to paint its reflection
onto the water body, Just make these little
horizontal strokes and slowly move towards
the bottom part. As you move towards
the bottom part, decrease the size of the horizontal strokes
that you're making. We are done with the
entire painting. Let me take you a little
bit closer so that you can observe all the
details carefully. I hope that you enjoyed creating this particular painting and
got to learn something new. Now let us move towards
the next painting.
9. Painting 4 - Beach Sunset: Hey buddy, you're most welcome
to the fourth painting, which is a beach sunset. You can observe I'm ready with my entire coaster and
the art supplies nearby. We are going to use a
simple pencil and draw a simple horizontal
line which is going to separate the sky area
and the water body. This is basically
a horizon line. Now I'll be using
my flat brush of size 1 " and we're going
to paint the sky area. First, we are just going to apply a thin coat of water
on the entire surface. Try to apply an even
coat of water and make sure that there is no space
left on the entire coaster. This is basically known as
a wet on wet technique, in which we apply a thin
coat of water initially. So that the colors can
blend in together in a nice way and your brush can move smoothly on
the entire surface. The first color that we are
going to take is burn sienna. You can observe, I have taken some color in the color palette. Always try to take color
in an optimum amount, no need to waste the resources. The second color is colt. The last color is going
to be mid yellow. I've taken all the three
colors in the color palette. Now we are going to apply a nice gradient effect
on the entire sky area. I'll be using my flat
brush of size 11. The first color that I'm taking is going to
be burnt sienna. Take a good amount
of solid color in it and apply it just
above the horizon line. In case you find that your
color is a little bit stiff, you can just add a little bit
of water to loosen it up. You can simply observe the
movement of my flat brush. It's a simple
horizontal movement. And slowly we'll be moving
towards the above portion. But we are not going to cover the entire surface
with burn sienna. There is going to
be a nice gradient effect between three colors. The more horizontal
strokes you apply, the better blend you will
get and the color can apply on the entire
surface in a nice manner. Now, simply clean the
entire flat brush, and we are going to
take the scarlet, which is very near to red color. Now take the color in a good
amount in the brush and apply just above the burn sienna that we applied initially. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply the color in
a slow and steady manner. You can observe the simple horizontal movement
of the flat brush. Right now, you can observe a
line of separation between both the colors burn,
sienna and scarlet. So we are going to
blend them together so that there is a nice
gradient effect. But before that, let us apply the Med yellow on
the topmost portion. Simply clean your flat brush
and take some good amount of Med Yellow and apply it on the topmost portion
of the entire coaster. Now you can observe that
I'm trying to apply a lot of horizontal strokes in
between all the three colors. It's a very simple technique. The more horizontal
strokes you'll apply, the better blend you'll get
between all the three colors. In case you find that your brush is having a excess
amount of water in it, just simply dab it
onto the tissue paper. Now let the background
dry for a while and let's paint a
beautiful water body. Now we are going to take
the flat brush of size 1 " again and we're going to apply a thin coat of water
below the horizon line. This time again, I would say
no need to hurry at all. Try to apply an even coat of water and make sure that there is no space left
on the entire coaster. I'll be taking my flat
brush of size 11 again, and we are going to take
some good amount of scarlet. In case you find
that your color is a little bit stiff in
the color palette, you can add a little
bit of water in it. Now to paint just below
the horizon line, you can use the tip
of your flat brush so that you can apply the
color in a perfect manner. Now, once you have applied the color just below
the horizon line, you can use the entire surface of the brush to apply the color. You can again, observe it's a
simple horizontal movement. In case you find that your color is getting finished
from the color palette, you can take a little bit of more color in the color palette. Always try to maintain
a good consistency of color and water together. In case you might have axis
amount of water in the brush, it will decrease the saturation of the color that
we are applying. Right now, you can
observe that we have almost covered the entire
surface below the horizon line. And the more horizontal
strokes you will apply, the better application of
the color you will find. Now once we have applied the entire color on the surface
below the horizon line, we are going to take our
round brush of size three. I'll be taking some mid
yellow in the brush and we're going to apply these
little horizontal strokes. There isn't any specific way of applying these little
horizontal strokes. You can apply them in any
random and natural way. So these horizontal
strokes are basically replicating the waves in
the entire water body, which we are going to blend
with the background so that it can create some nice
depth and details. In case you find
that your color is a little bit stiff in
the color palette, you can definitely
add a little bit of water to loosen the color up. You can observe that I'm
just randomly applying these little
horizontal strokes on the entire surface where we have applied the scarlet color. Now simply clean your
round brush of size three. Now we are going to take some solid white color in
the color palette. Take some good amount
of solid white color, and take it into your
round brush of size three. Now, similarly, we
are going to apply the horizontal strokes
that we applied initially. Again, I'm just applying the horizontal strokes in a very random and
natural way only. There isn't any specific
way of applying them. Also, it is not at all necessary
or compulsory that you paint it in the exact same
way I'm painting right now. You can apply the strokes in your own composition as well. There can be a cluster of two to three horizontal
strokes together. Now take the flat
brush of size 1 " again and reapply it
on the entire surface. We will observe that all
the horizontal strokes will get a nice blend with
the entire background. It creates some nice depth and details in the
entire water body. Now I'll be taking my
round brush of size three. And I've taken some good amount of solid white color in it, and we are going to paint some beautiful clouds
in the sky area. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to combine these little horizontal
strokes together, having variation in sizes. So you can observe that it's a very natural and random
way of painting the clouds. And also in case you
might have observed, clouds generally
have a very natural and random shapes
in the entire sky. There isn't any specific
way of painting them. You can create your own
composition of the clouds. You can decide the position. You can have a nice combination of colors together as well. Let me tell you a
basic technique about using your round
brush of size three. Wherever you want to have a thicker stroke or a
thick horizontal stroke, basically you just have to apply a little bit
more pressure on the entire brush so that you can get some thick
horizontal lines. Wherever you want to make
thinner horizontal lines, just try to apply least pressure on it and always use the
tip of the round brush. You can observe that
we have created a nice cluster of clouds
on the right hand side. And slowly I'm moving
towards the left portion, decreasing the size
of the clouds. You can also observe a beautiful contrast of all the clouds with
the background color. No need to hurry at all in
case you're not that much confident enough to paint the clouds directly to
your final painting. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final coaster. This will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. Now, you can simply clean
your round brush and water, dab it on tissue paper, try to have a little
bit of water in it, and you can blend the
clouds with the background. This particular step will
help you to make the clouds look a little bit smoother and the rough texture
will be worn. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. In case you find that there is axis amount of water
in your brush, just simply dab it on tissue paper so that axis amount of water
will be removed. We are almost done painting all the clouds in the sky area. Let us paint the mountains
and rock bodies. I'll be taking my round
brush of size seven. This time I've taken
some good amount of solid black color
in the color palette. Try to have a good consistency of water and color together. Now simply, I'll be taking some color from the color
palette and try to use the tip of your round brush to paint the outline of the
entire mountain body. The first mountain body
that we are painting on, the left hand portion
is a little bit huge and we are just creating
the outline initially. And then we are going to fill in solid black color in
the inner portion. No need to hurry at all. You can create the
outline initially to get the exact shape
of the mountain. You can also experiment
with the shape and size of the mountain according
to your convenience. Since mountains also generally
have a very natural shape, you can also decide the position according to your convenience. You can create your own
scenery as well in case you want to paint it in
the exact same way I'm painting right now. That is also absolutely fine. Once we are done with
the entire outline, I'm just filling in
solid black color. In case you find that your
color is a little bit stiff, you can just add a little bit of water in the color palette. You can observe that
I'm using the tip of my brush to paint
in smaller areas. Now, similarly, I'll be painting the huge mountain in
the front as well. You can observe that I'm just moving my brush
in one direction. You have to paint it slowly. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Make sure that there
is no space left in the entire portion that we
are painting right now. It will not look nice
once it dries up. Also, why I'm telling
you to maintain a good consistency of water
and solid black color together is because it will
decrease the saturation of the color if you have excess
amount of water in it. You can observe we have painted a beautiful mountain body
on the left hand portion. Now, similarly we
are going to add some mountain bodies on the
right hand side as well. I'm going to continue from
the horizon line only. I'll be starting
with the outline. I've created a nice outline, but this time the mountain body is a little bit smaller than the one which we have painted
on the left hand portion. You can observe that I've
created the entire outline and I have filled in solid black
color in the inner portion. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner in case you're not that much confident enough to paint the mountains and
the rock bodies directly to your coaster. You do not want to spoil your beautiful
gradient background. You can practice it on a rough
scrape of paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. Now similarly using
the same technique, I'll be painting a
beautiful rock body in between the water area. You just have to create
a beautiful outline. Rocks are also generally going to have a
very natural shape. No need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your
own shapes and you can decide the size of
the rock bodies as well. You can make your
own composition of the entire scenery as well. We are done painting the rock
bodies and the mountains. Now let us add a beautiful
reflection effect of these elements
onto the water body. It's a very simple
and easy technique. You just have to take your
round brush of size seven, take some solid
black color in it, dab your brush to
the tissue paper. And just simply apply
these horizontal strokes just below the entire
mountain and the rock body. Now, once you apply these
horizontal strokes, slowly move towards
the bottom part. As you move towards
the bottom part, just decrease the size of the
strokes that you're making. You can also observe that these strokes are
not at all perfect. It has to be very
much blur supply, least pressure on the brush. Just keep your hand
very much loose and apply the
horizontal strokes, we are done creating a beautiful reflection
effect as well. Now comes the last
element, which is the sun. I'll be taking my round
brush of size three. Take some good amount of
solid white color in it, and simply draw a circular shape in between the mountains. You can decide the position of the sun according to your
convenience as well. It is absolutely fine. Now using the same round brush, we can add the reflection of the sun onto the
water body as well. You just have to create the horizontal strokes
on the water body. It is going to be a little
bit bigger near to the sun. And as you move towards
the bottom portion, just decrease the size of the horizontal strokes
that you're making. Now let us enhance the rock
bodies and the mountains a little bit using the same
round brush of size three, having some solid
white color in it. We can just apply some
little bit of white color on the outline of the
mountains and the rock bodies. It will basically act as
the reflection of the sun. And it makes the
entire painting look a little bit more
aesthetic and attractive. We are done with the
entire painting. Let me take you a little
bit closer so that you can observe all
the details carefully. I hope that you enjoyed creating
this particular coaster, having minimal elements together forming a beautiful scenery. Now let us move towards
the next painting.
10. Painting 5 - Bushy Sunset: Everybody, you're most welcome
to the fifth painting, which is a bushy sunset, and the last class
project as well, so you can observe
that I'm ready with my coaster and all the
art supplies nearby. I'll be using a simple pencil to draw a horizontal line
on the entire coaster. It's basically a
horizon line which is separating the sky area
and the water body. Now I'll be taking my 1
" flat brush and we are going to apply a thin coat
of water on the sky area. First, you just have
to apply a thin coat of water above the horizon line. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply an
even coat of water. This is basically known as
a wet on wet technique, in which we apply a thin
coat of water initially. So that the colors
can blend together in a nice way and your brush
can move in a smooth manner. Now, once we are done applying a thin coat of water
on the entire coaster, I'll be taking some color
in the color palette. I've taken some med yellow
in the color palette. As you can observe, always take color in a
required amount only. I'll be using the
same 1 " flat brush to apply the color
onto the surface. You can observe that I have made a simple horizontal stroke
just above the horizon line, applying some good
amount of med yellow. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply the color in
a slow and steady manner. The more horizontal
strokes you'll apply, the better application of the color will happen
on the entire surface. In case you find that you have axis amount of water
in your brush, you can simply dab it onto the tissue paper so that axis amount of water
will be removed. We are not going to cover the entire coaster since we want to create a beautiful gradient
effect between two colors. I have left some portion
on the top area as well. Now, once we are done
applying mid yellow color, I'll be taking some burned
sienna in the color palette. You can observe I have applied a little bit of color
in the color palette. Now simply clean
your flat brush and dab it onto the tissue paper
to make it a little bit dry. Now we are going to take some
burned sienna in the brush. Take some good amount of color, make sure that you do
not have axis amount of water that will decrease the
saturation of the color. Now we are going to apply it on the top portion and slowly will move towards
the bottom area. Right now, you can
observe a line of separation between
both the colors. But we are going to
blend them together. No need to hurry at all. You can observe a beautiful
horizontal movement of my brush and the way I'm
moving my hand as well. This is a very simple
and easy technique of blending both the
colors together. You can clean your
entire flat brush, dab it onto the tissue paper
to make it completely dry. And then you can apply the dry brush on
the entire surface. Again, it's a simple
horizontal movement. Again, blending both
the colors together. You can observe a
nice transition from burn sienna to medial. Now let us paint the
water body as well. I'll be taking my
flat brush of 1 ". Again, take some good amount of water and apply it
on the entire surface. Make sure that there is no space left on the entire coaster. Now to paint the water body, we are going to apply
the background color. First, I'll be taking
some burn sienna again. Since the color is a little bit less in the color palette, I'll be using my 1 " flatbush. Take some good amount of
burn sienna in it and simply use the tip of
your flat brush to apply the color just
below the horizon line. So that you can apply
the color carefully and it doesn't go
in the sky area. Now slowly you can use
the entire brush to paint the entire surface of the
coaster below the horizon line, you can observe that we have
covered the entire area. In case you find that there is axis amount of water
in your flat brush, you can just dab it onto the tissue paper to
make it a little bit dry and your color can
apply in a saturated amount. Now to create some
beautiful depth and details in the water body, we are going to
paint some waves. So I'll be taking my round
brush of size seven. And I have taken some
mid yellow color in it. As you can observe, in case you find that your color
is a little bit stiff, you can just simply add a
little bit of water in it. Now simply, we are going to apply some horizontal strokes. I'm just applying these
horizontal strokes in a very random
and natural way. There isn't any specific
way of applying them in case you find painting the gradient effect of the entire background and the water body a little
bit difficult to paint. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, then you can come towards
your final painting. This will help you to develop some more confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less the way we applied the horizontal
strokes with dello color, we're going to take some solid white color in the round brush. And similarly, we'll be adding these horizontal strokes
in the water body area. Again, I'm just adding these horizontal strokes in a very random and natural way. Now, using the same flat
brush of size 1, ", we are going to reapply it on
the entire water body area. And you will observe
a nice blend between the horizontal strokes and the
background color together. Now let the background dry for
a while and you'll observe a nice beautiful depth and detail in the
entire water body area. As you can observe,
we are done with the sky area and the water body. Now let us paint some beautiful
clouds in the sky area. I'll be taking my round
brush of size three, or you can also use a
round brush of size seven. And we are going to
take some good amount of solid white color in it. Now simply using the
tip of my round brush, I'll be simply making these
horizontal strokes which are going to combine together
having difference in sizes. So as you all know that
clouds generally have a very natural and random
shapes in the entire sky area, There isn't any specific
way of painting them. You can create your
own composition of the clouds in the sky area. You can play with the
shape and sizes as well. You can also decide
the position of the clouds according
to your convenience. You can observe
that I have created a beautiful cluster of clouds
on the right hand portion. Similarly, I'll be using
the tip of my brush and creating these little
clouds on the bottom area. There is a basic and
simple technique. Wherever you want to
have thick strokes, just apply a little bit
more pressure on the brush. Wherever you want to
paint thinner strokes, you have to apply, lease
pressure on your brush. In case that you find you have axis amount of water
in your brush, just simply dab your brush to the tissue paper so that axis amount of water
will be removed. You can observe carefully
that I have also created a small cluster of clouds on the left
hand portion as well. I'll simply clean my
entire round brush. And we are going to blend the clouds with the
background area. Just try to have a little bit of water in your round brush. And apply the tip of the round brush on the
edges of the clouds. And you will observe a beautiful
blend of the clouds with the background area in
case you find painting the clouds directly towards your final coaster a little bit difficult to paint
and you do not want to spoil your beautiful
gradient background. You can simply practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. This will help you to develop some more confidence
while painting, and the chances of
making mistakes will be very less. Now let us paint. This allows we are going to
have a beautiful plantation, or I can say a landscape area. In the bottom portion, I'll be using my round brush
of size seven. And we're going to
take some solid black color in the
color palette, try to have a good consistency of color and water together. We are going to paint the plantation in
the bottom portion, I'll be starting from
the left hand portion. It's a very simple
and easy technique to paint some plantations
on the bottom portion, you can simply observe
that I'm using the tip of my round brush to create these little strokes
combining together. There is a nice
variation as well. No need to worry
about painting it in the exact same way I'm
painting right now. You can create your own
composition and you can have some nice variation
in the plantation as well. Initially, we are
trying to create the entire outline and you have to paint this
particular thing in a very slow and
steady manner, try to have a little
bit of patience. Once we are done creating the entire outline
of the plantation, you're going to fill in
solid black color in the inner portion in case you find to
paint the outline of creating these little
strokes together and forming a beautiful plantation a
little bit difficult and you do not want to spoil
your beautiful background. What you can do is you
can practice it on a rough scrape of
paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final coaster. This will help you a lot to develop confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. Starting from the left
hand side of the coaster, I have slowly came towards
the right hand side. And you can use the
tip of your brush to create some thinner strokes
on the outer area as well. It can replicate as the
leaves that are coming, and it can create a
beautiful contrast with the background as well. Now, once we are done with the
outline of the plantation, just take some good amount
of solid black color. Add a little bit of
water in case you find that your color
is a little bit stiff. And then we're going to
apply it the entire surface, just below the outline. You can observe the
direction in which I'm trying to move
my round brush. It's a specific
vertical direction. While you're applying
a solid black color, no need to hurry at all. Make sure that you apply it on the entire surface and
there is no space left. As you can observe, we are done painting the entire sell
out for the plantation, which we have painted
on the bottom portion. Now let us add some
little strokes on the outline which can create a nice contrast with
the water body, which is in the background. It's a simple step,
you can observe that I'm using the tip
of my round brush. In case you find that there is axis amount of water
in your brush, just simply dab your brush to the tissue paper and remove
axis amount of water from it. Now let us paint
some bushes which are going to have some branches as well connecting
to the plantations that we have painted
on the bottom area. To paint the bush, it's again, a very simple and easy step. I'll be using my same
brush of size seven. Take some good amount of
solid black color in it. I'm just using the tip of
my round brush to create these little strokes which are acting as leaves in
the entire bush. And you just have to combine all these little strokes
forming a beautiful bush. Initially, we are going to
form the entire outline for the bush and then we are going to fill in solid
black color inside. As you all know that bushes also generally have a very
natural and random shape. It is not at all necessary
or compulsory for you to paint it in the exact same
way I'm painting right now. You can create your own
natural shapes and you can also play with the composition of the bushes that
we are creating. Right now, you can observe that the outline for the first bush is a
little bit bigger. And I have added
one more outline on the right hand portion, which is a little bit smaller. This is how you can create
a beautiful variation. Now once you're done
with the entire outline, you can fill in solid
black color in a portion. So make sure that you have a good consistency of
color and water together. In case you have axis amount
of water in your brush, just simply dab it on tissue paper to remove
axis amount of water. We are done painting a
beautiful bush and you can observe its detail
in the outline. It creates a nice contrast with the background in
case you want to increase or just make it look a little
bit more aesthetic. You can add some more leaves by using the tip of
your round brush. This is basically a
simple and easy technique of creating and painting
a beautiful bush. Now similarly,
we're going to add one more bush which is going
to be below the first one. The technique is
absolutely same, you just have to create
a beautiful outline. Adding these little
strokes and combining them together and then filling in solid black color
in inside portion. Now once we are done
painting the bushes, we're going to connect them with the plantation that
we have painted. On the bottom portion for that, we are going to paint
some beautiful branches. And it's going to be a
very simple and easy step. You just have to use the tip of your round brush and take some good amount of
solid black color in it. Wherever we want to
paint thin strokes, apply least pressure
on the brush. Wherever you want to
have a thick stroke, you can apply a little bit
of pressure on the brush. You can observe I
have simply painted a branch connecting to
the bottom plantation. The first branch is a
little bit thicker. I've applied some pressure
on the brush and I have connected two more
branches from the bush. For that, I have applied
least pressure on the brush, creating a thinner stroke. Similarly, you can add the branches for the
second bush as well. I wanted to add few more
bushes on the branches. I'm just using my round
brush of size seven again, and I'm using it to add few
more bushes on the branches. Again, the technique
is absolutely same. You can simply add
these little strokes combining together to form
a small bush on the branch. As I told you, you can always experiment with the composition. You can add few more branches
as well if you want to. Now, just above
the horizon line, we are going to paint
some rock bodies. Or we can say mountains. You just have to create
an outline initially. And then you can fill in solid black color in the
inner portion. To paint in difficult areas, just use the tip of
your round brush. It will help you a lot.
As you can observe, I have added a
beautiful mountain body on the left hand
side of the coaster. Similarly, we're going to add few more mountain bodies on the right hand
side of the coaster. You can observe I
have simply added a nice outline using the
tip of my round brush. I'll be moving towards the
right hand side slowly. No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. Take your time. You can also play
with the composition of the mountain bodies as well. You can have a nice variation
in the shape and size. Also, make sure that your brush do not have axis
amount of water in it. In case you have axis amount
of water in the brush, just simply dab it onto the tissue paper to remove
axis amount of water. Now to add a little bit
of reflection effect of the mountain body
in the water area, Just apply these little
horizontal strokes just below the mountain body. As you move towards
the bottom area, decrease the size of the
strokes that you're making. We are almost done with all the elements in
the entire coaster. Now let us add the sun. I'll be taking my round
brush of size three. Take some good amount of
solid white color in it. You just have to draw
a circular shape. Use the tip of your
round brush to paint in a smaller surface area.
No need to hurry at all. Try to paint it in a very
slow and steady manner. And you can always
decide the position of the sun according to
your convenience as well. I have placed it just above the horizon line in
the center area. Now to paint its reflection
onto the water body, use the same round
brush of size three. Start applying the
horizontal strokes on the horizon line. As you move towards
the bottom area, just simply decrease the size of the horizontal strokes
that you're making. You can observe that it creates a nice reflection effect of
the sun onto the water body. To make the reflection look
a little bit more realistic, we can add some mid yellow
and solid white color. You can observe that I'm mixing it well in
the color palette. You can add a little bit of
water to lose in the color. We can just apply it onto the white strokes that
we applied initially. It creates a
beautiful combination of both the colors together. No need to hurry at all. Try to apply the color in a
very slow and steady manner. Also, the more horizontal
strokes you'll apply, the better results you'll
get in case you find adding the reflection effect a
little bit difficult to the final water body and you do not want to
spoil the background. You can practice it on a rough
scrape of paper initially, and then you can come
towards your final painting. This will help you a lot to develop some confidence
while painting, and the chances of making
mistakes will be very less. You can observe carefully as I'm moving towards
the bottom portion, I'm simply decreasing
the size of the horizontal strokes
that I'm making right now. I'm also applying less
pressure on the brush. You just got to have
a very loose hand, no need to make it
a little bit stiff, and we are done with
the entire painting. Let me take you a little
bit closer so that you can observe all
the details carefully. You can observe how
beautifully we have, combined minimal
elements together and formed a beautiful scenery. I hope that you enjoyed creating
this particular coaster. Now, let us move
towards the next part.
11. Class Conclusion: Whenever I try to explore
different art mediums, I always make sure that I learn
them in detail, in depth. One thing that I loved
about gouache colors is the mad finish it
gives when it dries. While I was creating
this particular class, I made any number of mistakes. There were a lot of times
when I have to paint the entire scenery again and practice all the
elements in detail. Finally, I came up with five beautiful class
projects for all of you. One thing that I always tell my students is never to be
afraid of making mistakes. That is where you
learn the most. It is always great to maintain an art journal
on which you can practice on a regular basis and keep a record
of your artwork. The practice sheet will help you a lot to develop your
painting skills. I would be very excited to see all of your projects into
the project gallery. Feel free to ask any questions
or doubts you have related to the class and enjoy the
process while painting. It would be really great if you leave a review
for the class, as it encourages me a lot and my class can reach many
more students like you. At the end, I would like to say keep learning, keep practicing. Thank you so much for
joining and happy painting.
