1. 4 Social Media Trends to use in 2022 - Introduction: Hello and welcome. My name is John Valentine. And in this course, I'll be talking about for social media trends to use n to look out for in 2022. So as we're coming to the closer this year to the close of 2021, heading into 2022. There as always will be new social media trends and things to look out for in the world of social media and digital marketing. So these are so many things that I'll be talking about. First thing I'm going to mention stories over feed posts, then short-form storytelling, artificial intelligence and add tracking, and finally, connection and community. And at the end I'm going to give a summary and conclusion of everything that I've talked about and some final tips and tricks. So definitely make sure to stick around until the end to watch all that. But yeah, thank you so much for joining me. And let's not waste any more time and head right into this first topic.
2. Stories over feed posts: So let's talk about stories over feed post stories have a better engagement and have better views than posts and just normal content on the defeat for Instagram does so if you look at Instagram stories and even Facebook stories, and now of course, Snapchat stories and stuff like that. But Tiktok is adding stories as well. So stories in general are a feature that is definitely going to be looked after and definitely going to be preferred by a lot of people just because it's easier. I mean, just tick, tick tock. Tick tock is so well because it's quick videos that people can swipe through and stories, it's basically the same. It's just updates from your content creators that you fall and you can just swipe through it rather than just still images on your feet is so stories have better engagement, they're easier and also the more authentic because, you know, most of the time it's people interacting and live in the moment. They just, you know, showing off their new whatever products that they bought or what their eating or their day, you know, their view from their apartment, whatever people and influencer's post about. So also think about the fact that there's scarcity. So they're only available for 24 hours unless people had them to the highlights. But generally and most of them are just stories for the day, 24 hours people have to look at them and then move on with their day and, you know, you can never really watch them again. So you really want to spend more time on your daily stories. So definitely try to create more content based around stories. As we head into 2022, if you didn't know LinkedIn added them to 0 as well. So you now can create a LinkedIn stories Tiktok out at them, like I said. So people are, and all social media platforms are finally doing stories as much as they can because they are realizing that that's what people like most it's the most popular type of content that people are consuming on social media. So definitely try to, you know, implemented in your content strategy, try to focus on ways that you can create stories in your everyday and sometimes you don't even really have to think about it, just go on throughout your day. Let's say you're just a regular influencer or you started to have that brand. You can just show off your day shall for eating. If you are a business Instagram account or social media account, you can show off your work day, you can show off your office, you can show up, you know, working on this or, you know, you know, it's 3AM. You're like on the grind and stuff like that. You can just post stories like that to keep engaging with your followers. So trying to focus on posting stories is definitely something you should do. Not now that we're coming to them as here. And all these social media platforms are adding them.
3. Short-form storytelling: So I also want to talk about short-form storytelling. Storytelling, telling in general is a feature and a skill that you definitely want to focus on and try to really perfect because storytelling is going to be more important than ever. People are starting to overlook just the idea of a corporate form. And if you're looking at social media and stuff like that, people want to know more about what that company stands for, who they are as a brand. And people want to know this story behind them. So if you're able to tell a good story and tell your story well, then people are going to be more interested. So short-term steroids storytelling is also going to be important because as we move on every year, people's attention spans are k shorter it seems. And so making it quick and easy and condensing your story is going to be important. So because people are still interested in your story, but they just don't have that much patients in time anymore. So being able to tell it in a short way and in a short form is going to be very important. So I sell it in a shorter way, becomes talented story teller with condensed information. And it's definitely going to help you take advantage of social media copywriting and stuff like that. So whether, whether it is your website and you're talking about yourself, you're talking about your company that way. In that sense, you can be a little bit more expensive, but you know, when you're posting on Instagram, when you're posting on Facebook and LinkedIn, having these mini blog posts is going to be very key on grabbing the viewers and the reader's attention. So becoming very skillful in the art of telling a story and just telling a story in a, in a short form and being able to keep people hooked and interested. It's going to be very, very important. So definitely tried to focus on working on that. There are various videos you can do in courses you can take and of course, as you can watch on actual storytelling into most important items and even just taking a few hours to study that a little bit, it's going to help you tremendously. You know, somebody once said that if you just put in 10 hours, you're going to be better than the majority of people in a specific skill. So if you put in ten hours on new storytelling, you're going to be increasing exponentially. And I think some people are really underestimate how much work you can do in a few hours and how much skill you can, how much you can improve your skill and just a few hours. So definitely try to work on that. Every now and then.
4. Artificial Intelligence ad-tracking: And another trend that you should look out for as artificial intelligence or AI ad tracking. You know, ad tracking with AI is, it's going to be very, very key because as we move on pupil or go into one to save money, save time, become more efficient. So ab, ad optimization is very, it's going to be very important using AI and tracking. So learning more about your customer, learning about who you're targeting and who you're interacting with your brand, with your platforms, with your accounts, with your social media accounts. So using AI, do, you know, track all this, all these people with information, stuff like that. Of course, doing it appropriately and doing it regulated, but using different types of software like Facebook ads and stuff like that can definitely help you become more intelligent about your consumers. So using AI at tracking is going to be very, very important. And I think we're going to see various platforms rise up with software that can help you learn more about your consumer. And so definitely it's definitely something to look out for and really something to look into coming into 2022. Of course, I can only talk about it as much in this video because I'm just introducing it here. I might actually do a full course on AI tracking. I'm thinking about it. So if you want to, you know, learn more about that, definitely let me know. But it's definitely something to look into and just looking at artificial intelligence ad tracking even now, how people are streamlining and optimizing their ads is definitely very impressive. So definitely something to look out for coming into 2022.
5. Connection and Community: So let's talk about connection and community. Well, as I mentioned before, people, especially in this generation, you know, Gen Z, millennials and so on, are more and more interested in connecting with your brand, especially because of the rise of social media. Brands are almost becoming like personalities. They're posting content on Tiktok, on Instagram and Facebook, on YouTube and stuff like that. So staying connected with your community and your fan base and your followers is essential. Especially because the pandemic, worldwide pandemic over the past couple of years here has increased this feeling by tenfold. People want to be connected to a community and they wanted to connect it to people of similar minds. So I really try to use creative ways to engage and connect with your followers. And there's really a million ways nowadays you could do that, especially using social media. So think about hosting live streams for your followers, creating just daily polls like on Instagram, stuff like that, and creating events, whether it's online or in person, that we're sort of moving back into the real-world. But especially online events can help you create a community feeling around your brand, around your company, and around whatever it is that you're trying to grow. So, you know, if you have a digital marketing company, maybe you can create almost like online conferences where you can invite guest speakers to talk on specific topics and then you can habits sponsored by your company. You can have people coming in, you can have it coming for free or pay for people to come in. So it's definitely something to consider how you're going to want to connect and build that community. Because as you know, brands are becoming more and more involved with people's live with social media and stuff they're on it, like I said, almost coming like personalities. So creating these connections and this community is going to be key because it's only going to increase as we move forward with these other social media platforms. And creating a community around your brand is what's going to help build a loyal following and loyal fans and essentially, uh, customers as well at 10. So definitely something to keep in mind.
6. Summary and Conclusion: So just to summarize the trends that are going into 2022, social media and marketing trends, as I said, use more stories, especially because now this year people added them, you know, LinkedIn added them. Tick tock just recently added them. And so stories are going to be very, very important when it comes to producing content. And you definitely want to try to implement them in your content strategy and consider using an Amora if you aren't using them that much. Second of all, become skilled at short from storytelling, you know, uh, patients and attention spans of people are getting, you know, shorter by the second and feels like so being able to tell your story fast and being able to tell your story effectively in a short way, whether it is writing, visual or audio, you definitely want to work on that scale and become an expert in short story, short-form storytelling. Then third of all, of course, using AI ad tracking to optimizing streamline your ad spend is going to be a big thing coming into this year even now. But as I said, like with all technology it's only going to grow. People are learning more about you as a consumer and therefore you as a company can learn more about the consumer using AI tracking. And last but not least, of course, connect more personally build a community around your brand. That's how you build fan basis and that's how you build loyal customers. And now with this pandemic and as I said, with social media almost becoming like personalities for brands, building that community is easier than ever. It's also more important than ever. So really trying to brainstorm about some ideas and how you can start connecting with your fans on a personal basis, not just posting your pictures and then leaving, but posting pictures than answering comments, answering direct message is holding live streams, holding events and stuff like that. So I really tried to engage with your community and build that community to create this loyal fan base. But yeah, that's basically going to be it for these five trends coming into 2022.
