'What we leave behind: Notes on objects, memories and people we once knew'

The headline, "What We Leave Behind: Notes on Objects, Memories, and People We Once Knew," carries a nostalgic and poetic tone. After brainstorming, I chose to illustrate a couple contemplating a panel with a grid of various objects, memories, and people—some of them fading away. These could represent their shared experiences, cherished belongings, or figures from their past.

First I drew the literal meaning of the idiom, then I played around with the implied meaning, changed people for animals and ended with two different animals working together instead of arguing.
