What I see in your magpie is basically featherly perfection, Angela! I like this image as your bird looks strong, even kinda like it’s proud of possessing a unique attitude!

The feathers through the mid body are great, it's just a shame that the very end of the two tail feathers have angled down - given it's indigo there's no changing that, but your canadian magpie can just have a couple of slightly broken feathers! Nice waterbath too

I enjoyed painting this magpie but had trouble getting the tail feathers right but kept on going. I am calling him a Canadian magpie because he looks like ours.
