I used Winsor & Newton paints - main colour Indigo with a touch of Paynes Grey in places (I think WN Indigo is quite blue so wanted to tone it down a bit wth the Paynes Grey), Yellow Ochre, Veridian & Violet for the variation & highlights. Tried a little bit of salt in the chest & wing with minimal success. My favourite part is the eye. It's been a while since I've lifted a brush, so was a most enjoyable morning to get me back into it.
