Monochrome portraits 1-6

I am pretty happy with how this gentelman turned out. Perylene Green by Schminke. Looks almost grey. I am learning tons and, most importantly, gaining confidence. One more portrait to go!



Once again, the hair texture in portrait 3 leaves much to be desired. I also have found it's trickier to work with this unusual for me color, granulating "Violet shadows" by White Nights.
For this gentleman's portrait, my biggest challenge was his facial hair - how to convey the volume and the texture of his mustache rather than an idea of it :-)
