Thanks for the class, I love your attitude, encouragement, and style!   

 

I spent longer refining this painting in the end, but the quick sketches were very helpful in reminding me how to be loose and (begin to) quiet that inner critic!

 

The kingfisher is from a photo I took and is painted with traditional gouache.
