Hey guys! So I've kinda disappeared on this project and life took over, but I've been working on finishing this whole project. Not just the dropcap, but the other pieces as well. I'm determined on having a full series, and it's been really fun!
I hope someone still visits this class to see my progress. I'm gonna add the original sketches again so you can see the process side by side. Enjoy! :)

I've done some research here and there, but I'm waiting for Jessica to start the class! :)
Anyway, I thought I'd share this personal series I'm working on. Like I said, I love fairytales. So this is my fairytale typography posters based on early version of the stories.
This is how I usually start my projects. A lot of keywords. Small sketches here and there (although not in this projet)
Funfact: Rapunzel's parents has to give her up to the witch next door, when her father stole a rapunzel plant for his pregnant wife from the witch's garden.
Funfact: Belle wore a ring when she had to had to leave the prince and has to return in a certain day or the beast will die.
Funfact: After the hunstman saved Little Red and her grandmother from the wolf, they sewed stones into his belly

Fairytales have always been one of my favorite stories. Growing up as a Disney kid and learning about the orignal tales by the Grimm brothers, Hans Christian Andersen and Charles Perrault, and the differences of each story from other countries made me fall in love with them.
I even own an out-of-print 1972 copy of Grimm's Complete Fairytales with comentary by the mythologist Joseph Campbell and illustrations by Josef Scharl.
Hopefully someday, I'd be able to collect a first edition Grimm's Fairytale book; or maybe one with an Arthur Rackham illustration on it.
