Viviane, your mallard duck turned out beautifully! You’ve achieved a strong sense of realism while still keeping the piece fresh and painterly.You did a great job using the white of the paper intentionally, both in the lighter areas and in the white feathers. It really enhances the luminosity of the piece. I can also tell you were mindful of the length and direction of feather growth as you worked, which comes through clearly in your brushwork.You’ve created a lovely sense of movement in the water without overworking it, and the subtle textures in the bird’s head and chest add a lot of richness and depth to the piece.Thank you so much for giving this course a try and for sharing your work with us!
