Christine, your mallard duck turned out beautifully! 🙌✨You've done a wonderful job combining wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques to create realistic depth while maintaining a beautiful sense of balance throughout the painting. I especially love how you've incorporated the white of the paper into the piece, preserving it beautifully in the white feathers and the lighter value areas of the water.The eye is especially well done, and the textures and detail throughout the duck add plenty of realism without becoming overworked. Everything still feels fresh and painterly, and the piece as a whole transmits a calm, serene vibe. The reflections in the water look fantastic, and I love how you've contrasted the softer effects surrounding the bird with the sharper details within the duck itself. My daughter found an abandoned baby duck years ago on a sity street! That duck was so precious. We had to teach her how to swim and fly. Your painting reminds me of duck adorableness. Your duck shadow in the water  and peaceful background are very successful, Christine!
