This is beautiful! it looks so soft and dreamy, and the colors are gorgeous. Really beautiful transitions between light and shadow. As for paper - I'm not sure what type of paper is in the book, but if you're doing something that requires lots of layers, cotton paper tends to be the best option.a cheaper alternative could be cellulose (like the winsor and newton student range), though it may not be able to handle as many techniques as cotton. It all depends on what you're looking for in a paper thogh

thanks for the feedback and again thanks for a great course. I love that you explain your thinking behind your approach, which really helps.  I usually use 100% cotton paper as individual sheets and like those. since they are both expensive and I am also wondering how to store all the artwork I thought it might be nice (and practical) to paint in sketch books made for watercolour I haven't found one that I find all that great though. I think some of them were cotton, but they either seem to have a lot of sizing or there is just something about them that makes the paper behave different. maybe it is my imagination but I think the pigment settles differently …  what is your experience?

Está precioso!!! Estoy haciendo el mismo curso :) El papel que me encanta es Baohong tanto prensado en frío como en caliente. También me gusta mucho Hahnemühle. Y te recomiendo todo el material de Kristine Rapohina, que hace envíos internacionales.

Personalmente me encanta Arches, pero siento que se comporta de forma muy distinta a la mayoría de los papeles de los cuadernos de acuarela. Creo que definitivamente tengo que probar Hahnemühle también.

My first stab at this project, mixing and layering skin tones. Overall I am happy. Not sure about the paper in the watercolour book. Does anyone have a particular type that they like?
