For the final painting, i used 300 gr satin grain 100% cotton paper, wich i prefer for faces, but it's not artist quality, so i struggled with the many glazes , and it tended to dry very quickly. For my studies I used a fine-grained 100 cotton paper that I don't like and I only use for tests. Sometimes I really feel the need to mess up as I did for the black skin reference, a little for lack of time and freeing myself, a little to try to discover something new that can be useful to me. The studies were done in the middle of the course, before finishing it... so I will try to repeat everything at the end of the course while waiting for a new one on the black skin to come out. I can't wait, thank you teacher!
