Project Description
Doodle with Shapes, Slogans, Stories & Sounds
ASSIGNMENT & DELIVERABLE
For each exercise, produce a set of doodles that apply the techniques demonstrated and discussed in the section. The final deliverable will be four sets of doodles, one from each exercise.
Part 1: Shapes
- Draw 5 abstract shapes into animals
- Create your own or use attached template
- Post both before and after drawings in project gallery
Part 2: Slogans
- Choose a word or short phrase (1-3 words)
- Draw at least 10 variations – 5 type style and 5 illustrated style
Part 3: Stories
- Create a character and imagine their story based on a prompt around you
- Illustrate –
- Your prompt-based character
- What makes them happy
- What makes them upset
- Their reactions in 3 unique scenarios
Part 4: Sounds
- Listen to a talk while doodling to enhance focus and memory
- Incorporate at least one key word or theme from the talk into drawings
- Doodle to enhance/accompany listening
- Try to incorporate techniques from previous exercises
