About This Class

In this course we will be creating an entire little Kontakt sample library from scratch. The first thing we will be doing, is to create sound content. Then we will hop into Photoshop to create a basic Kontakt user interface. After that we will be making use of the Kontakt GUI Maker to implement and finalize our little Kontakt sample library!

Alex was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 1975.

At the age of twelve he showed great interest in rock and guitar music, spent lots of time watching MTV’s “Headbanger’s Ball” and finally, at the age of 14, decided to buy his first electric guitar. After five years of private guitar lessons with guitar teacher Joachim Rothe, Alex met his first band, which had by far more poser photo albums done over the time, than gigs or even songs.

A few years and bands later in 1997, he decided to take one more year of private guitar lesson with guitar teacher Thomas Dill and prepared himself to study at the Los Angeles Music Academy. This was by far the most intensive tim... See full profile

1. 01 - Introduction: Hi, everyone. My name is Alex Pepper. I'm a professional composer and sound designer from Hamburg, Germany. With around 15 years of experience in writing music and creating sound content for all kinds of projects and companies in this little video course, I will be showing you how to create an entire contact instrument. Well, let's say a little contact sample library from scratch. The first thing we will be doing is to create some original sound content, and then we will help over to photo shop to create a basic user interface. And for shop will be one off the two additional tools you will need besides your digital audio workstation in Native instruments. Contact. So after this, we will get into the contact you winemaker. The second tool you will need, enabling you to implement your sound content and user interface to contact without any knowledge or need off coding. So finally we will be bringing it all together by mapping the sound content into are designed contact instrument. Let's go 2. 02 - Sound Creation: Okay, so the first thing we're going to do is create some little south material. And for this tutorial, I will be doing a little evolving drone. And before I get into it right now, I just want to let you know if you plan to sell your content later on your own created content later on. Please don't make use off any V S T instruments or already purchased sample libraries because the materialist copyrighted and it should be office it that you could seriously get in trouble when the developer finds out about it. So be creative, Use your own instruments and let's go. So for the first thing, for the first part, I'm going to create a little basic drone here. And I'm using my prophet 12 for this. And I will be just using this sound here. I already created as the basic drone. So let's just record it for, like, four, boss. Okay, so this is just a basic fundament, and let's just trim it to this. So I have exactly four bars here and let's move it down and let's create another sound. Let's record another sound, which is helping the basic drone a little bit, too, to evolve. Um, so for this, I am going to record my metrics fruit here, and I will just use this sound. So just to give it a little bit more character and let's also record this for four bars and maybe let's mute the basic layer. And while I'm recording, I'm just turned fooling around a little bit with a cut off, not to give it some little bit more color. Okay, so let's record this. Okay, that's good enough. Let's just trim it to or yes, let's trim it to this. It's a length here and not playing it completely from the beginning in order to have something which is going on, um, which makes it a little bit more involving. So what I'm going to do now is just picking another sound. I did here with the with my prophet 12 and record this one on this patch. So it's just a little bit of Ah, wait. Just use this, um, as a little bit off, let's say shimmer above the basic drone. So in order to have a little bit more evolving stuff going on record for quick. Okay, that's enough. So and it's trim this up to here, turn it a little bit down, turn this a little bit up and just bring up the mixer a little bit too. Okay, so the next thing I'm going to do is route all these three treks to a bus trick. Okay, so now all these three tricks are going through bus and I'm applying. Um, let's say, uh, an effect to this, a reverb. And this is a little tool. It's called Pipeline. And, um, if you are a studio one user, you already know about it. What it does. And there's there are different methods in all kinds of other Devi's d A W's. But what pipeline basically does. It's treating external hardware effects like re burbs as a plug in. Okay, So I can just, um, wrote my big sky reverb into Studio One and apply the rebirth toe all these three treks. So And in order to record this in real time, I will be setting up another audio track right now. And yeah, let's call this skill drone here, and the input will be my created bus here. Okay, So what basically happens now is that thes three signals are going to be routed through my heart bear reverb, which I said completely wet, 100% wet. And I'm going to record the received signal from the reverb into my sequencer again. So I said this to recording, and what I'm doing while recording the reverb is just fiddling around a little bit with a tone up off the picks guy to give it a little bit more evolving character. Okay, - okay . And that's our little drone. So let me just play back without without hearing all the other tracks here. And so this is our final sound design. And so you may notice that all these additional tricks are not really there. They are very subtle and very in the background. But it's just there to give this drone a little bit more off on your let's say, un boring feeling. Okay, so and let it evolve a little bit, as I've said before. So in the next video, I will show you how to prepare this drone to be implemented into contact 3. 03 - Sound Preparation: Okay, so now we recorded this. Designed this little drone. Now let's prepare it to have a decently looped in contact. Okay? So because this is, ah, atmospheric sound and you want to play it infinitely if you want to. And in order to do this, we have to correct a loop the pile. And I know that if you're familiar with contact, you know that there are a lot off looping features available inside contact, but I don't want to make it. I don't want to make use off any of thes. I want to make it even easier and by using none off these features. But prepare the file that good that it loops perfectly inside contact. Okay, so what we're doing first is just create a little space here and just move away these sounds and just focus on this one. And what we do know, it's basically basically cut to put a grid on here. And let's basically cut this sound right here and what we do now it's we simply move. Let me get rid of this. But here. So on what we do now is simply move the beginning. The first half to the back and the second half to the front. And what do we do now? It's just create a little cross fade here. So I simply put, um, that hit X and move this cross fade a little bit more like this, maybe fool around a little bit with the With all these settings here, just make it more like this. So what I'm doing now is selecting these two files and set up the marker from the beginning and the end to the end off this file and click on. Repeat. So now way can listen to the full trick. And it's another great things that since we cut, as you remember, since we put the beginning to the end in the inning to the beginning, we created a perfect loop point because this spot and this, but was initially was just the same, You know, the continuous loop going on. So we what we did now was creating a perfect loop point. And as you can as you could hear, thean ending goes perfectly back to the beginning. Okay, so let Luke Point is pretty great. And as you could hear, you still have this ongoing involving thing. So you have it? Some sort of Ah, wavy sound. You know, like just like a slowly pulsing sound. And I'm going, going coming a little bit down and come a little bit up again. So what I also need to do after setting this loop is to select the first part and put a very tiny fading off one millisecond to this. OK? And as full of fade out, I'm doing the same here, creating afraid out off one million second. So to avoid any lectures or crackled. Okay, So after we set this, let's listen to this one more time. Okay? Sounds pretty good. So what we're doing now is simply rendering this file and exporting it as a way file. And we are ready to use this created content and implemented into contact. 4. 04 - Designing the GUI: Okay, So now we switched over to photo shop and take care off the actual user interface. And the first thing we have to do is create an empty canvas in the sides off 2528 for the with and for the high 2200. So this is actually times for the size off. What we later on need in contact the actual Jew y What? The user interface size would be 632 times 550. Okay, so why times for simply we have a better screen resolution and the animations will look a little bit more smooth, and overall quality will be much better. So this is the actual size. The next thing we're going to do is opening the few category here and create a new guide and put it on and position it to 272 pixels from the top. Okay, so this is actually the area. If you remember the contact interface, this is the area where all the information is the patch name and all the other options and so on. So we leave this except for creating the wallpaper in this area. we leave this empty and what we do to have it a little bit distinct from the from the, um, lower area, Yes. I create a little rectangle which is snapping to the to the guide and the actual project, Um, canvas here and we just fill it with, like, color. And I already said the a possible pass iti to 10. So fill it with black and then make it something like 10 or 15%. We will check it later, but the best would be. And now we would take care of the actual design. Okay, So before we get to the difficult part, which will be the buttons three animations, let's take care of the background. And of course, you can design your own stuff. But for this tutorial, let's just take a licensed stock picture off a background and primitive size, okay? And, um, off course, no, let's bring our placeholder to top here. And, as always, remember that this is this needs to be part of the wallpaper because you see the background later on. But remember to not edit anything or do anything in this area, okay? And now off to the buttons. So I actually said buttons before, but actually I mean naps. Okay, so let's now continue with them lumps. So the first thing we're going to do is create a new layer by hitting this little I can hear and select the lips tool. And just by holding shift, click the left mouse button and just create a little circle here. Doesn't have to be. It doesn't matter where it is positioned to just move it to here somewhere. And let's do the following. Let's do the outline like 20 pixels and get rid off the feeling here. The next thing we're going to do by keeping this ellipse layer selected, let's it control and J and then controlling T. So what we did now was duplicating the initial the first Ellipse, complicating it and with control T we're just transforming. The second circuit will be created. So by holding the left mouse button and then again shift and old and we create a smaller circle within the bigger one. And let's do something like this hit enter and then lets it doesn't matter if you said like this one or this one. So let's Jose like this. Let's one again here and hit control J again and then control T left most button shifting old. Let's create 1/3 circle a little bit more here. So this will be our cut off. No. Okay, so as a final note, this looks pretty boring. So let's fool around a little bit with it more and what we do now let's try out a little bit, a few things to make it a little bit more interesting. So what I'm doing again, it's selecting the lips one layer and hit control J and for duplicating it and then selecting is copied to 50 pixels. So the next thing we're going to do is rest. Arise the layer and then choose this little rectangle tool. Let's create a shape like this somehow, and it's deleted like this. Hit control de again for, um, getting rid off the selection. And what do we do know? So we made basically take the six second circle here, so let's first name is like the third circle. This would be the second circle. Let's call this first big circle were bold, and it would be it was. This would be the first Oops, I'm sorry this would be the first circle. So the next thing we're going to do is do something else for the second circle. Let's actually change the line to dots. Okay, so this looks pretty funny. It's maybe make a little bit more bigger, a little bit bigger. And, um actually, let's hit control t and transform it again by holding shift in old and bring it a little bit more in the middle. So I think for a first, not this looks pretty decent. So let's use this as our cut off. No. So the next thing we're going to do and just to have that in mind, But with a control plus and minus on the on your keyboard, you can zoom in, zoom out, and by holding the space key, you can just zoom around. So just in case you wonder how I did what it zooming before. Okay, so what we do know is by selecting these layers, go to layer and group the layers. Okay, so we have one group here and let's call it cut off. No. And since we read it, let's rename this to world paper. So now we got these sections going on here The next thing we're going to do is create, as I said before, one additional NOP for a tech and release. So because we're going to use the same not for attack and release. Okay, So let's create a new little button here and knew little not my mean and its creed. It's pick the Ellipse tool again. That's hold shift. Bring it to this size and make this something like 10 pixels and get rid of the filling here, let's make it a little bit more. It's still 22. So next thing we're going to do is, um, create a copy by holding control J again Control T left click shift in old and let's create a copy. Do it like, do it like this. What we do now for thee, for the outer Ellipse is making it dotted. Okay, so this will be pretty simple. Nope, here, but But we also have to change is the gift Mm stood like because there is still a little issue here. So let's create something like this. Okay, so we have given five and dash off to, and this would be our attack and release button. So as for the next step. Let's quickly renamed these. So this would be, um you're or you know what, This just not very complex. So let's just so, like, thes Let's go to layer again And that's groupies layers and a soldier again to the top. Oops. And, um, like this. And let's rename this a group to attack release, you know? Oops. No. So, no, we get off to the animations. 5. 05 - Animating the Knobs: So, to be honest, thesis design won't win an award. That is for sure. Fact. It is just there to explain your the really basic things. You have to take care off to create knobs and a wallpaper for your first contact library. So what we do next is you could do right, click here, but I think I see it's kind of disappearing here from the, um from the window. So it's to it. Here you go, layer. Then you go. Rest arise. You rest. Arise the shape first. And then on this one Me dio rest arise, shape, tooth. And now we are going to merge these layers. So I'm doing it with a right click here. But let's do it like layer. And then you say merch layers or control E. So now we have one up. Okay, so we close this folder, open this folder here for the cut off up, and we do the same here. We already I think we restaurants this one, so I'm not sure if it can restaurants, multiple stress layers. Okay, That works and stood for the other two. Okay, so we got them all restaurants and no, we combine or we merge all these layers to have one up. And if you just hit control T and you just go a little bit above years so you can see this this kind of curved arrow and you hold the shift key or you're not holding the shift key. You can see how this nup looks when it rotates. Okay, so what do we do know? Um, now we have to different knobs here, and it's not really important where they are right now, because we will have the final location. Were the not be sitting on the G A. Y. We will do that in the contact you y maker. So for now, what we do know is open the timeline, open the timeline. And but what do we do? Know it's start animating these knobs. And the reason why we rest arised and merged these layers is because we know have to transform them into smart objects. You can see this year convert to smart object and we do the same for the for the lower button. I'll let me do with sea because it's disappearing again. So we make we go layer and convert to smart object Okay, so now we have to smart object. The reason why we rest arised and created the smart objects here is because we want to make use off the transform option right here. Okay, so let's assume in a little bit like this and let's bring this. But at the beginning here, okay. And also the that's quickly renamed this 1 to 2. Take release. Let's make it short A are No. We could also get rid of the folders, but I think it's, um and in this one too cut off. No. So, no, the first thing we're going to do is go to the beginning here, just click this little transform thing. Then you see, there's a little yellow don't here, and we go somewhere here. Doesn't matter where and hit it again. And what we do now is, um, is hit control t for transform. And I like to hold the shift kitten shift key while the left most button and just, um, turn it for, let's say 90 decrease. And then we grew up this little button here. Oh, sorry. You just have to inter first. And then what happening? It's happening. We you already see this. This is moving. What we're doing now is dragging this all the way to the end. Okay, so we have actually, let's make it not to make it a little bit shorter here. Now, let's move this to the end. Now, if you put this all to to the beginning and you hit space but they hit the space bar, you can actually see the rotating off the knob. Okay, so this will be the animations. Just have to send it to set it to look playback. Let's start once again. So this is our final rotating? No. So it's just moving for, like, 90 degrees right now? Actually, Yes. 90. Okay. And we do the same for the other. Knocked down here for the tech and release not so space bar thing this and said this to the beginning again it the transform button until it's still yellow. Thing appears, and that's moving a little bit. You here and hit it again. And no, let's hold control t again. And let's rotate it to prompt 90 degrees hit, enter and then you already seed moving. So put this to the very end, and now you have both See both buttons being and you made it. Okay, So what happens next is how I show you that I show you how to export all these things in order to have thes animated buttons in contact. 6. 06 - Exporting the GUI Elements: Okay, Now let's export everything. And the first thing we're going to do is turn off the visibility here for the cut off up and turn off the visibility for the check and releasing up. So we just have the actual wallpaper visible and the little placeholder. I mean, you could turn it off, but I just leave it on to have a little bit of the difference between those two sections. So what I'm doing now is hitting control old shift and W, which will open this export window here. What I'm doing here set this to 25% which results in the actual size off 632 times 550 which is the actual contact interface size. Okay, so make sure it's set to P and G, and so we just hit export, and just I actually did a test before, but that's replayed. Let's replace it simply. Okay, so the next thing we do is turn up visibility for the placeholder and the, um, the wallpaper itself and just turn on the cut off. Okay, What we do now has hit this little button here, and you can't see it in the in the drop down menu because the window was going way below. But there is a little section saying Render video. Okay, so you see this popping up here and let's let's, um, rename this to cut off. No, select the folder. So let's put it in a year. Cut off. No. So what? We have to take care of its that it said to Photoshopped image sequence that said to P and G and the size should be 632 times 552. Um, you can leave the frame rate and everything Very important. The Alpha Channel said to straight on med it, and you already see how many pictures will be created. So it's roughly so 0 219 So all in all, it should be 120 pictures. And now we're going to render all these pictures into this folder. Okay, so now we going to do, we're going to do the same for the Tech and release not down here. And don't worry about all this empty area here. There's a little tool which will simply take care of that later on and do the same now and hit this little button go to render video and renamed this one to a partner select a different folder. So again, the reason why we have folders different folders is because we create a lot of single images and you don't want to mess it up with with other files on your hard drive. So make sure everything is said as before and was simply had render. So that's it for exporting the elements, the Jew y elements. And now we hop over to the Contact G y editor or July designer, and let's put it all together. 7. 07 - Stitching together the PNGs: Actually, there's one thing we have to do before we put everything together in the contact you I maker. And this would be, um, downloading this little tool here. You can get it from waste factory dot com, and it's called Strip Generator. And basically, what this little tool does is stitched together all these individual P and G's we just created in photo shop into one year, Let's say single horizontal a comic strip. Okay, so I have this tool already here, and I just open it right now and you have to set it to auto corrupt its parent. See, Because, as I mentioned before, we have a lot of space around the actual what's going on the NOP itself? Okay. And put it, your output Horizontal. This is like the horizontal strip is what contact reads in order to have the knobs functioning properly. So what do you do next is select the frames folder here, and I already put this on my desktop, so I just opened this a cut off, not folder. What happens is a new folder is popping up, and now you can rename You're not. It's simply to this and hit Save again. And what happens right now is in the same folder. You now have this file in Created with all the stitch together um p and G's. So what we do now is to the same for the, um for the tech and release button. So pick the folder said OK, no, the new folder opens. We also get rid of the zeros here, and it's safe. Okay, so now we have thes two, um, created files which are very important to function properly inside contact. Now let's head over to the contact you why maker? 8. 08 - Kontakt GUI Maker: Okay. So, as I already mentioned in my first video, besides photo shopped there, it's one tool you need, which is not for free. And this is actually the contact, you winemaker. And no, I'm not involved into sales. But I can really recommend this thing because first of all, it's just $29 you really save lots of hours on how to learn to code because it's simply not necessary. Also, there is no need to hire a professional coder, especially when you just want to get your food into the business off. You know, creating simple libraries or thinking about selling them. So I can really recommend this tool and you can get it here. And it's actually just on on sale. I'm not sure if it's just on sale, but I think it's it's constantly on for $29. Okay, so let's get into this after you, um, installed, Um, do I maker? You should see two folders, and I put these on my desktop here, and the 1st 1 would be the contact you Why make her folder? So when you open this, you see these folders inside of here and the first thing to do is hop into projects. And then I already created this one. But to show you how it initially looks, you see, like these three folders here and then another one with your instrument here. So we use this one, and I recommend it. Just copy and paste this folder into this big folder here and simply rename it to skill share. Drone. The simple reason. Iss um, you will need this folder every time you you create a new library. Okay, so I would suggest to leave this folder untouched and just copy it and paste a new one of this took the copyright into here and rename it so inside this folder, you get already some stuff going on, but we get to that later. So what we do know, let's go back to the main folder, contact you I maker. And we just opened the library folder. And inside this folder there's a folder which is called pictures. So I already um no, I didn't sell but withdrew that right now we would create a new folder and it's called naps Skill share. OK, so just to have it separate, so hm, by default, There ISS. Two folders in here. One is called metal and plastic. So we just hope into this one. And you see, these files are all these stitched together P and G fights. OK, so and actually, there is a little text file below it. If you open the text file, the only relevant thing for us is the number off animations. Okay, so we simply copy out control, see? Copy out one of these files and put this into the nups skill share folder. Okay, the next thing we do is open or a skill share folder and direct the cut off. Not Oops. Sorry. And direct the cut off. No, into this folder here. Okay, so let's just not tried it. But copy it, and then we do the same for the attack and release button. Copy it over here. Okay, So what we do now, and this is very important. The first thing Let's do it like this. Just copy the name off this and name it exactly the same way as the attack released. No. Okay. And then let's copy this once more a name. This thing cut off? No. So what we do know is that If you just check this folder, check your folders. You can already see that 121 elements are in this whole. Sorry. If you check. The folders were re stitched together. All the individual p and G's. It's 821 elements inside this folder. So one is the stitch together file. So we have 120 p and G's. Okay, So what we do now is open this little text file here and simply, um sorry. Put it 220 save it. That's it. This is everything you do, You go in there. 120 can save it. Okay. And now we're ready to open the two. I maker itself. So, um, as I said before, if you set up everything, probably you should see this release with no folder here and inside this You have the contact. You Why maker? So I double click. It started. And what happens now is that you see your little skill share drone project here. Okay, so we click that and what you see right now is there is already wanted to fall button. But we simply deleted by hitting the delete key. And what happens now? We forgot one thing, which would be the wallpaper. Okay, so what we do now? It's open there. Contact you. Why make her folder again? Go to the library, go to pictures, Goto wallpapers. And inside this wallpapers folder was simply copy. Well, paper s il into it. And since the correct one off these other, um, text files here again and exactly name it like the one before, Okay. Like like the wallpaper we have? No. Which would be wallpaper skill share library. Okay, so now we can close this folder. What we do know is head over to the wall paper folder, and now you should have wallpaper. Is L right? In the year. And if you click it, you see your wallpaper set up as the background. The next thing we do is open this folder, not skilled share. And now you see these tune ups in here, and what you simply do right now is simply drag and drop it into the project. And wila here's are not the same with you for the other one. And since we want to have a tech and a release button, we drag it again here. Um, So what? We do now is just said it into the center. Something like this. And let's terms off layout. Let's do something like this. So now we have the basic things set up, and just in case you want to see what's going on, you open your do I make her folder again, go to projects your skill share drone and simply hit the instrument, which is incite the skill share drone folder. Okay, on what happens now, contact us loading. And what happens now is that for a first start, you see our implemented, um, wallpaper and the buttons. If I just used the mouse and move it up and down, hold it and move it up and down. You can already see it moving as we any mated it in for a shock. Okay, the same applies to the other tune ups. Okay? And now we get to a fine adjustment. And then, um, we are ready to implement our drone 9. 09 - Final GUI Adjustments: Okay, so we're almost there. There are a few final adjustments we have to do. So the 1st 1 would be to define what the buttons are doing. OK, so we just home select the big one here. And we said this is going to be a cut of command. Okay, so we select this button and go head over here to this little action thing Action, entry, and click on the Not available. And what we do is selecting the filter and pick the group effects filter cut off. Okay, now we select the first button, and we want to be this theatre act button the technology, I mean, and then we select and the lope and choose group and empty envelope Attack Cave. Then we pick this one and we go again to envelope and put pick group M envelope release. Now, you find all these things in the instruction manual off the contact. You Why, Designer? There's actually a lot in there, but I'm just giving you a few starting points here so that you're able to know what you where you will be where you will be starting. Okay, so just there's a little starting point So the next thing we're going to do is simply reload the contact instrument. This this tempted instrument here. But before we do that, we hope over to our skill chair Drone folder, Go to the resource is folder and get rid of all the, um, the samples which are in here. They are in here by default, so we just delete it. Um Oops. Okay, um because they just take away some space, so we just empty it and we don't need any, um, any uhm reverb samples in here, So we head over to the scripts folder, then we get rid off the effects script because we don't need it. Then we opened the main folder here and set this thing. This is something set to 540 I think. But I already changed it to 483 and then you save it again. So just make sure it's still 483. OK, that's it. And now we go back to our initial skill share drone folder. What? We do know its head to contact and just close the close the instrument and reloaded again. So now you've got the effects implemented from the A Jew y maker. I mean, not the effects, but the commands, the cut off the attack and the release And what we do next to sit the little wrench tool here, go to the effect step chose preset factory empty because we don't need it. Okay, we already deleted the script, file the text file, and we don't need the rest. So if you go back, you actually also see the little get down here. Disappeared. So what we do next and we just go to the from the wrench tool again? Then we go to instrument options and go to instrument instrument tep and go to the resource container. And in there we just pick create. Now there's a new window opening and we re name the Inca, a folder that the ANC I file to skill share drone and hit safe. So now you can see that picture files have been created. Script files have been created. We close this Now we save the whole patch here, okay? And we also save it to skill share Drone. Okay, so we have all the same things and most important, always patch only. So we save it now we can get rid off the the template stuff here and the other things all which is still called a template instruments or simply delete it. So we have left. You could also think delete the project info. So what's left here is the skill shed drone in K C thean KR file and the skill shared drone instrument itself. Okay, last. But at least we simply have to delete this little release folder here and just for the sake of having it a little bit more tidy, let's create an instrument folder where you put all the instruments in there and have the samples folder here where you put all the samples into. So simply, let's move this. I think it's may not be working because contact now it doesn't. It does work. So when I hit when I reload this one, there may be a question. Okay, that contact can't find the files. I'm simply browsing for the folder. And did you skill share drone and hit? OK, so no, it everything stare, everything works. And now we will help over to studio one again, eh? So I can use my medical keyboard inside Studio One and do the final adjustments the very final adjustments and implemented the sound into contact and finalize our instrument 10. 10 - Implementing the Sound and Finalizing: So before we continue working. Ah, One last thing. I'm doing its opening my projects folder here the Skill share shop folder and copy the entire folded to my session. Dr. And, um, go to the skill share folder here and create a new folder which is named Skill Share Library. Okay, so now I'm putting this folder here so that it's out off the contact G y maker directory and so on. So we just have the independent folder for the library. So the next thing we're doing is opening. So you won again. And so remember, we did some sound a while ago. Now I'm loading a contact Five instance in here. And now let's help over to, um my a folder. I just created the drive skill share, contact and skill share library. And inside this, we have our actual library folder Skill shared drone. Okay, so inside this, you will find the instruments folder and incite the insolence. Folder is the Scotia drone. So let me just loaded in here, and what I'm doing now is click the right key because I really like to do this and learn me DCC automation and simply tipped the model wheel once. So right now I have my Mott wheel assigned to the cut off command. Okay, so what we do next, we contacted the side ones and just render this file into the folder. So I'm exporting this mix here to my skill share folder, the library folder Insight, the samples folder. And I simply named this. It's still drone. Okay, so I leave. Everything is this? It's a way file. It's 24 bid, 44.1 kilohertz. And I simply hit okay to export the file. And what we're doing now is just opening the folder again. And just since we put this album created this drone in the note off See, we just simply direct this one over and let me just let me just I get a little bit larger here, okay? So what we're doing now is Streck this drone on to see one in contact. So as you can see, there is this little the C one is yellow and there is above There is this file. Okay, Now I can expand this to the left. Too low a and to the high. Let's say e. And when I play this It tells me that if I moved this file, it tells me that the initial notice right now here. But since we recorded this in C, let's just leave it on the sea and extend or expand the the range off the actual drone right now to the left and right. And what happens right now when I'm playing it, it's actually not happening a lot simply because we have our, um, mod wheel assigned to the cut off filter. So when I close it and played, this is what's happening. Okay, Way now, know that the moat whale, their plight cut off. Effect the cut off fielder. It's working. Now let's hop over in a hope in again, hitting the wrench tool in opening the wave editor. So what we see now is the rendered way file. Okay? And since we created this perfect loop point, the only thing we have to do down here is hit the one and now everything is perfectly loop . You don't have to do anything else. That's it. So if I'm hitting the sea right now, okay, so we have a perfect loop point and the whole thing is done. So what? We do now is have to check that the attack and the releases working. So let me just pull up the attack a little bit. Yes, this is working. Put it living more. Okay. And let's check the release button by turning this up a little bit more. Yes, This working Jews. Let's get a little bit shorter here. Stop it a little more. Okay, so now everything is working perfectly. We have the applied kuttel filter. We have applied the attack. Commend to this little now appear. And the release command to this little Nope. Here. So that's the whole instrument. And, um yeah, that's basically it. I hope you enjoyed this little course and give me some feedback. Let me know if there is still anything you want to know. And thank you for watching my
