Hi! I'm a somatic coach and a design leader looking to help creatives reconnect to themselves. I help creatives who feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, and burned out find their spark again.

I found my way to design non-conventionally; after spending several years as a dancer and movement educator, I taught myself basic design skills and have been on a journey ever since! I worked as a freelance writer, web designer, and content strategist before taking a formal course in UX design. I was drawn to UX because it allowed me to use my research skills (sociology degree with an emphasis in public health), my new-found love for digital design, and my genuine curiosity about human behavior.

I’ve worked with start-ups, as a design consultant, and in-house as a designer. I've also spent a lot of time leading design organizations, and focus on helping organizations figure out how to do design work.   

The more I climbed up that corporate ladder though, the less connected I became from my background as a mindful movement practitioner. Over the past several years, I experienced increased stress, anxiety, and a feeling that I had lost myself. I was experiencing unexplained health issues, saw behavior changes in myself that I didn't like, and felt disconnected from my own body. I was burned out, disengaged, and not sure what to do.

After doctors, therapy and self-medicating didn’t make me feel like me again, I turned back to my movement training and worked my way back to myself. I realized that my body had been trying to tell me that I needed something to change for a long time, and I hadn’t been listening. It was telling me that these two parts of myself aren’t really separate — that my experience and training as a mover is an important factor in how I lead creative teams, coach people, and help others find their way back to themselves. With all of this knowledge and experience in mind, I’ve started a coaching business focused on helping creatives who feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, and burned out reconnect to themselves through mindful movement.
