Hi, I'm Agnes. I've been in the world of illustration since year 2000, and teaching is also one of my passions. Welcome to my course in my series of drawing cute animal poses!
In this course I will share the basic techniques of drawing a bear, starting from the basic shapes and exploring different ways to make them cute and fun by adding a little character and personality.
Here are some of the topics we will cover in the course:
<ul><li>Finding inspiration/reference material</li>
<li>Creating shapes for the animal's basic body structure</li>
<li>Joining the shapes to create a sketch</li>
<li>Adding small details (limbs, paws, eyes, nose...) to give character and personality</li>
<li>Developing an effective process for the inking and line art</li>
<li>Simple techniques for coloring using water colors</li>
<li>Basic skills in shading using color pencils</li>
<li>Creating a meaningful/useful project for your piece of art</li>
<li>Steps to making the perfect corner bookmark</li>
<li>Ideas of ways to share your art with others</li>
<li>Adding your own personality and style to your illustrations</li>
</ul>Each class will take you through drawing one of 7 different poses, listed below:
<ul><li>Sitting, front pose</li>
<li>Front, standing pose</li>
<li>Walking pose</li>
<li>Side, looking up pose</li>
<li>Back view</li>
<li>Standing, side pose</li>
<li>Rest, relaxing pose</li>
</ul>By the end of this course, you'll be able to draw these 7 bear poses, but even more so, you'll be able to draw any pose you like, as you follow the simple techniques I give. Copying a bear from a photograph or even real life will come easy to you.
This class is great for anyone, at any stage of art level or even just for someone who feels inspired and finds joy in trying out a cute style of art.
