About this Class
In this class you will learn how to design repeat patterns inspired by the human figure using Procreate and Illustrator. As a bonus lesson, I will show you how to up-cycle a dining chair in your own fabric! 
We will explore sketching the human figure through three fun drawing exercises; collect figurative photography as inspiration; sketch icons for our design in Procreate, then transfer them to Illustrator to complete our technical repeat pattern and play with the recolour tool!
As the bonus, we will learn how to recover a simple drop-seat dining chair in our unique design!
If you are an illustrator, artist or creative soul who would love to explore new avenues in pattern design then this class is for you.
For the main class you will need: 
<ul><li>An iPad or tablet with Procreate and Apple Pencil or stylus</li>
</ul><ul><li>Adobe Illustrator</li>
</ul>For the bonus class you will need:
<ul><li>Your fabric design digitally printed on 1 x 1m upholstery fabric (thick cotton, linen, canvas or velvet works well)</li>
</ul><ul><li>A drop-seat dining chair to upcycle</li>
</ul><ul><li>Staple lifter</li>
</ul><ul><li>Staple gun and staples</li>
</ul><ul><li>Foam padding slightly bigger than your chair seat pad</li>
</ul><ul><li>Fabric scissors</li>
</ul><ul><li>Felt pen </li>
