How difficult is it to learn a language? I can tell you, it’s not that difficult. Everything starts by striking a conversation. Writing it’s the last thing you should worry about.  In this class, you will learn the basics of conversational Portuguese, such as simple and short sentences required in everyday interactions.
These classes are for everyone, regardless of age or prior Portuguese knowledge, provided they have a passion for Portuguese.
Through my experiences as a language teacher, I’ve come to value communication over theory, the latter of which is favored in textbooks and academics. As such my class centers around giving you the skill to communicate in Portuguese. These classes have this aim in mind: communicate with others with simple but meaningful sentences.

You meet someone during a flight, or during a train journey and you want to get to know the other person; or perhaps, imagine you just reach Portugal and you want a quick conversation in a café to get a “feel” for the place; or even on a language exchange meet online where you take a dip into the language. For all these situations, you need a kick start, something that allows you and the person to establish a comfortable dynamic and have a productive conversation. This course gives you that kick start. After this course, even if it’s just for five minutes, you will be able to strike up a conversation, so consider yourself a winner.

You won’t require any software or other tools, but you will need to use your smartphone so that you can make a small video. However, if you love video editing then, I encourage you to use different video editing software such as iMovie or Final Cut Pro X to make a more elaborate video.
I am sharing printable worksheets with the solutions for those interested in practicing written Portuguese.
 For those constantly on the move, I am sharing audio files so that you can practice Portuguese while exercising, driving, washing dishes or even perhaps commuting in public transport.
 Always remember:
1)     A language is ultimately a skill used for communication so pull away from the tendency to focus on 
        grammar while learning a language.
2)     Learn to frame your own sentences and not memorize someone else’s sentences
3)     Have the most fun possible while learning because that is what makes your hard work worth it!
