YiB Puppet Sewing Pattern

Make your own puppet with a moving mouth and hands.  It’s easier than you think!  These puppets will enchant people of all ages.  The only hard time you’ll have is convincing people you made it yourself.

This unique puppet pattern was originally engineered and designed for embroidery machines.  But because of popular demand, I've converted it to a sewing pattern.  This PDF Sewing Pattern does NOT use foam like other hand-and-rod puppets so it goes together fast but gives that same professional puppet look.  You can use fleece or faux fur fabrics to make the Yib puppet.  Examples of fur and fleece puppets are shown in the photos.  These puppets can be machine washable when following the supplies and steps in the photo instructions.

The finished puppet is about 10" tall and 6" wide, with 11" long arms.  It fits most adult hands and has a built-in finger grip in the mouth so it's comfortable to control.

Full supply list is in the instructions document and is summarized below...
1/3 yard Fleece, plastic or similar for mouthplate (check your recycling bin!), fiber fill, safety doll eyes, needle and thread (sewing machine optional), fabric glue, pins, fabric-safe marking pen, scissors, and these optional supplies: baby shirt, 45mm doll joints, hair made from fur/yarn/doggiewig, turning tubes, tear-away stabilizer, template plastic, felt for tongue.
