I’m an artist, hand-letterer, Etsy seller, avid recycler and last but not least, I'm a human who finds passion, purpose and joy in the over-share— whether that's here on Skillshare, on Substack, Instagram or YouTube!

I absolutely thrive when I'm sharing the nitty-gritty, geeky things I am most knowledgeable about and am obsessed with. The mix of topics that drive my creative brain are the ones that I am most driven to create classes for you to get value from here on Skillshare.

I'm a long-time Etsy seller— since 2007— and one of the first artists using P.O.D. (since the dawn of Cafe Press)! We've come a long way since then, and I still sell on Etsy and I still use P.O.D! I love to my share my knowledge, experience and expertise on those topics— and the intersection of them— with you, here on Skillshare.

I've been an avid recycler forever, and I also love to find inventive and experimental ways to insert creativity into everyday life. I have long dreamed of making classes demonstrating creative, experimental ways to make functional and decorative treasures from all the resources I save from my recycling bin. You'll find those classes here on Skillshare, too.

A little about me:
I started my art career in 1st grade! I was one of the primary artists who volunteered on my elementary school's mural project celebrating the Bicentennial (1776-1976).

In the 4th grade, I illustrated the logo for our music recital which was printed on the program and on the t-shirt. (I think I was floating for six weeks after.)

In high school, I illustrated the yearbook cover.

In art college, I majored in 2D Fine Arts. I wanted the freedom to create what I wanted. But, I always kind of figured I'd move into an illustration and/ or graphic design career after, at some point. (They've all always inherently been connected, in my mind.)

My first post-college "real" art job was animating multimedia educational products. Then I took a marketing and sales design and illustration position at a "dot com", as we called them back then. During my 17.5 year career there, I moonlighted on a solopreneur track, ultimately having several additional careers. I did pet portraits, illustrated greeting cards, sold designs retail using print-on-demand, and began licensing my art to manufacturers. After ten years of doing some combination of the above at the same time,I got laid off from my full-time job in 2015. But I was well-set up to continue my solopreneurship and turn it into my full-time job.

Since then, art licensing is not a main focus for me anymore although it's still in the mix a little bit. I continue to sell on Etsy and Faire wholesale. I use print-on-demand heavily and I self-manufacture some goods as well. I also sell on some P.O.D. marketplace sites as well as selling original art and having my own line of coloring books.
