Watercolor for Beginners: Japanese Patterns on Planets

Watercolor for Beginners: Japanese Patterns on Planets - student project

Miwa thank you so much for a beautiful class! It wasa wonderful opportunity to learn about the planets and Japanese culture! I had a great pleasure to explore how our planets look like. Also I am Mercury according to the website! I like the description it is very close to my charachter indeed :D

I will add more patterns on top later! I will let planets dry.

I would note that paper is really need to be 100% cotton because of the amount of water was used. I loved to see how paint swirled and flow! I used Arches cold press and a few sampler papers from cheaper brand. I have noticed more warping and granulation on that cheap cotton paper but still alot better and controlable then on cellulose.

I hope I will add more updates soon!

Love your soft authentic style Miwa!

Wonderful project as always!

Many thanks!!!!! Watercolor for Beginners: Japanese Patterns on Planets - image 1 - student projectWatercolor for Beginners: Japanese Patterns on Planets - image 2 - student projectWatercolor for Beginners: Japanese Patterns on Planets - image 3 - student projectWatercolor for Beginners: Japanese Patterns on Planets - image 4 - student project
